Dingy, dirty and damp. Stains on sheets, rust stains on a lot of the furniture, surfaces dirty. Dingy mildew and pee smell immediately upon entering the room. Since I checked in after midnight and was literally there to only sleep for one night, I didn’t think it worth mentioning to the staff my issues. I wouldn’t have trusted that they would’ve kept the same quality and cleanliness standards for the other rooms anyway if I was offered another room.

Not very clean or well maintained and it smelled like marijuana. Bathroom and floors and walls were dirty, bathtub and faucets had soap and water-spots. The air conditioner squeaked and the television remote didn’t work. The vinyl was pealing off the chair. The employee were extremely nice and we enjoyed the pool. We will not stay this hotel again.

The rooms do not look like the photos. Saw 3 cockroaches (huge ones too), TERRIBLE smell in the rooms (if you stay here get air fresheners it makes it a tiny bit more bearable) and hallways. Half the equipment in the gym is broken. Does not feel clean. This place could use a lot of maintenance. Not worth the price at all. This place at night is not safe either. Had a man follow me throughout the parking lot.

The stag was amazing and very nice. Anything I asked about they were knowledgeable and willing to help. The down side is the cleanliness of the facility. The room had a mold smell which they made accusations for me because of my allergies. The room might have sat empty for a while because the towels had an unclean smell. The beds were mad but the sheets weren’t clean. They changed the linen for me at my request so it was all taken care of. I hope it gets better because there’s a lot of potential here.

The front desk was great. My card let me in the room and I had to keep going back to the front desk and get it reprogrammed. The room needs to be remodeled.

Room was nice but there was no air conditioner in the room. It had a small air sucking fan outlet, which was connected to the outside living/Tv area wall. It was very hot in the room.

Very big and decently clean, the pull out sofa was abit dirty and I didn't want to sit on it but the mattress itself was okay. Good value for the price as long as you're not coming to be by a beach or something.

Room had a chemical smell that seemed to stick to your clothes. Otherwise room was clean and well kept.

Absolutely disgustingly dirty and my 1am bathroom stop was welcomed with scattering cockroaches everywhere! Carpet is disgustingly and the smoke alarm just randomly went off continuously… Will not be staying there ever again!

I have repeatedly dealt with malfunctioning key cards, difficulty receiving basic supplies, unprofessional responses from front desk staff, and cleanliness concerns that made my stay unnecessarily stressful.

The staff was very friendly, very helpful. My room was clean and very comfortable. So very quiet. I never heard any noises---in the hotel, itself or the parking lot. I would definitely recommend.

I tried to call 5 times to get through to tell them I would be arriving after midnight. Finally got hold of a central agent who wrote a ticket up so the hotel would be notified. In the morning there was no coffee even there was sugar & creamer. But a good little gym downstairs and very close to the airport which is what I wanted and the price was good!

The whole place could definitely use a DEEP cleaning and maintenance. We checked in late and I will say the front desk attendant was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our first room smelled terribly of old musty smoke and dirty carpet. Upon settling in my husband pulled back the sheets to expose a big oily wet stain all down the sheets and comforters. The rest of the room was in very poor condition too. Top of the toilet tank cover wasn’t fitted correctly and was open, clearly broken recliner, chipped paint all over, dirty tub etc. we were promptly moved and upgraded to a bigger room on a higher floor. I will say the higher floor smelled worlds better and was more inviting, the room still needed attention - broken tile, hair on the floor, hardened glue all over the side table, broken tile, stains on the couch. We made due as it was a quick overnight stay and we were out first thing in the morning. But the property has a lot to be desired as well as the clientele

The not so good was staff were not overly friendly. We needed a place to work for 3 days and booked it because it had 1 huge table and a desk. When we got to the room there was one chair. We asked the front desk for an extra chair and they said they didnt have any....well why have a huge table and desk if only one chair to sit in?? With that said they seemed to he only 1/2 full at most.....i know this because room doors were open with no one in them. We also asked for a checkout of noon vs 11am so we could get out at lunchtime of our jobs and they would only allow Noon at a rate of $15. Come on!?!? Really. We didnt ask for the moon.

I made reservation, showed up 10:30PM Fri night, they have no rooms for me and they said, thay cant do nothing about it.

My room had stains all over the sheets. Room had a weird smell. Very outdated amenities.

The room that i was in smelled like urine and moisture. Also there was a big cockroach in the room. I would not recommend them to anyone.

The room wasn't as clean as expected. LIVE roaches were spotted after the lights were turned out and back on again.

When I walked in the employees were in the parking lot just talking. A line had formed with three people waiting to check in before someone came inside to help us. Then when I got into the actual apartment it looked run down. The shower had shampoo bottles that were taped to the wall but had fallen off and instead of repairing it the holder was just placed in a shower chair. There was so hand soap in the bathroom and I just used the body wash gel. Then I took my socks off and as soon as my feet touched the carpet it was incredibly sticky. I felt disgusting. It was a one night stay so I just wanted to get some sleep but then the guest in the room next to me was watching TV and talking on the phone until 1am and the whole time it sounded like they were in the room with me. To top it all off this garbage place charged me a $27 fee after I checked out. No email or explanation of what it's for, just the only fee that I have ever been charged by a hotel and it was the worst one ever. I would at least understand the fee if this place was clean or in good shape but it is neither of those things. This place is straight trash with slumlord practices. Whatever price you see advertised, add $30 and compare it to those places and I guarantee you it will not be as nice.

Never book this hotel for more than one day. There’s a Florida scam going on that goes like this. Either at check in or if you have the slightest complain you are asked to leave anddddd they don’t give you the money back and the hotel is free to book the room again. Sonesta gives this man the power to throw anyone out for any reason. Mine was bc my key didn’t work. They intentionally locked me out so I’d fill out for the third night in a row a form. I said I had to pee. The man wouldn’t open the lobby bathroom. He finally did so I wouldn’t pee on the floor. I slammed the door. Licked it lunged for the toilet. He says I have to leave. When you are solo this happens once a week in Florida

It was a pleasant stay . Exhausted from packing to move back to California all day was exhausting so being it was right down the street from where are apartment was it was great.

Wow my stay was relaxing and quiet. The staff was very professional, helpful and caring. The room was surprisingly large, big living room area, the kitchen was spacious had a lot of amenities if you needed to use or even borrow an appliance it was available. The bedroom was peaceful. My stay was pleasant, comfortable and I felt safe and secure. Great job everyone!

Ad shows 2 grills there was only one which had no gas we informed office Monday still no gas when we checked out Wednesday. Pool was dirty (bugs, leaves, cigarette butts & towel in bottom of pool). Pool pump was not running my husband checked it each day as we had wanted to swim. My husband tried to talk to the manager Ed, he wouldn’t even look at my husband but continued typing and said leave info I’ll take care of it. Per Expedia he has refused any type of adjustment. Ruined our 43rd anniversary!

Stayed there for over two weeks. It did not have my sheets changed once. I did request to have them changed, but they never did. The kitchen faucet only had hot water in the actual faucet was broken. Multiple times had to go get my key replaced because it wouldn’t work on the electronic door. That was frustrating and probably occurred five times during my stay. I requested an additional chair so my wife would have somewhere to sit while we were eating and they never brought it up. The value was not worth it.

Not great. Air conditioning is structured badly, so that main bedroom barely gets air. Furniture are old, and water pressure is low.

The property ALLOWS pets, we were charged a $75 fee that is not disclosed. There is no area for dogs outdoors, the only grass is by the busy road. The photos of the property are very misleading. It is very worn and dingy. Most of the staff are very nice and friendly but a few are quite rude. We dealt with one that was so unpleasant it prompted a letter to the corporation. This is not a hotel I would recommend to others.

I was not happy with the stay at this hotel. So much so that I only stayed for one night and needed to book at another hotel for the remaining two nights. The hotel smelled moldy and musty. There was a smell of marijuana in the elevator. There was mildew growing on the showerhead. The room was very old and not comfortable. The dresser drawers did not close, the TV didn’t work. I also felt just very uncomfortable at this hotel and the staff wasn’t always readily available. It was not a great experience and I needed to find a new place so that I could focus on the work that I was doing by being there.

Staff was great and made us and our dog feel very welcome. Room wasn’t the cleanest, the dishwasher smelled rotten. Overall a decent stay.

The room was very run down and not very clean. I opened a kitchen cupboard and door fell off. The pool was locked and dirty. I asked about it and no one knew why. Most of the staff was rude and didnt want to be bothered. Would not recommend or go back.

The staff are amazing and attentive. The room was spacious, ac was cold and water was hot. We had a small problem with maintenance and they sent someone up within 5 minutes and took care of the problem within 10. Check in and check out was a breeze.

When I arrived at the hotel they didn’t have the room I reserved available. They offered me another room, but it would not accommodate 5 adults. This was incredibly frustrating. I’m not sure why they took the reservation if the room was not available. I would not recommend this hotel.

The staff are great. Friendly and helpful but this property did not measure up to the listing on Expedia at all. No bathroom light fixture-- a bare bulb. Bathroom in general has very poorly done repairs. Common areas not clean--especially laundry. Room missing the living room chair. Key cards never work-10-15 times to open the door. I did not stay the second night. Checked out after one night and went somewhere else. I will never stay with this chain again. They did not use photos from this property for their listing on Expedia.

Standard, budget hotel. Has a kitchenette with full size refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, microwave and 2 burner stove. No housekeeping only if you have a 7 day stay. You can request towels by placing a door hanger before 9am but it didnt get us clean towels so we had to go to the front desk. Rooms could use a deep cleaning, I dont think the housekeeping staff can do that if they are only coming in once a week. This reservation was better than the last one (cleanliness). Staff at front desk is always courteous.

Staff is great, Room are clean but they need to need change the shower heads and faucets. Really the showers head are rustey or kinda moldy. If your not going to change they house keep must clean them. Also the lighting is yellow light and dirty lamps. Too dark in room with the furniture.

Be aware, this is a long-term stay hotel that houses quite a few laborers so the smells coming from the rooms at dinner time are amazing if you happen to be walking down the hall at that time. The stairwells carpets could be cleaned and though it is a nonsmoking hotel, there were times in which the smell of marijuana was very strong. Overall it was a nice stay.

While the rooms are standard hotel rooms with kitchenette and large desk area, the cleanliness is really what is lacking here. There is no daily housekeeping. They inly clean 1 time per week or when you check out. The rooms need a deep cleaning. Everything is "wiped" down but there are streaks and stuck on dirt. You can exchange the towels but you have to find someone working on the floor because the instructions they give (put your towel sign on the door by 9am) doesnt get the job done. This is my second stay, different rooms, same concerns. This stay was actually more expensive than last month.

Staff was very nice. Housekeeping only comes 1 time per week. They do exchange your towels if you ask. No trash service, you must take it out to the trah bins at the end of the hall. If you leave it outside of your room they fine you. My room was relatively clean but not the kitchen area. It had tons of drips and splatters on the cabinets and fridge. Microwave was also a bit dirty. I mentioned it to a Housekeeping lady that was in the hallway but Im not sire she fully understood me. Price point is very good.

While the room was clean and just "okay" my husband and I did not like the atmosphere of the hotel. It had a certain odor when walking in and on the first floor. Being pregnant it bothered me more than usual. I really don't recommend families staying here and we certainly won't be staying at another Sonesta.

Floor was sticky with residue from cleaning. Smelled like pinesol and I laid all the towels down on the floor to walk on. Bed was OK and didn't have any other problems.

The TV had no remote control and instead of trying to find a remote control suitable they put me into another room with the same issue and I didn’t say nothing, because I didn’t want to have to move again….we need to update these units with better TV’s that work properly is all cmon guys

Pictures when booking looked nothing like the actual room. Pool was tiny, garbage overflowing in the laundry room.

Loved having the ability to cook, that saved a lot of money from eating out. Bed was really comfortable.

Tv out about 1/2 time I was watching. No food options other than snack in lobby or none within walking distance. Bed was comfortable but showing age. No shuttle to airport even though a mile away. In room Ice maker problems. Would even like to talk to maintenance Manager about the issue and not post here.

Mirror fell on son, doorknob came off entry door, sink drain closed could not open, tub drain broken.

Excellent service from Trisha! She went above and beyond, and we really appreciate it. A small suggestion: it would be great to have an extra folding chair in the closet so two people can sit down for dinner together. Finally, We will definitely make this our first option the next time we're in the area.

Bed comfort nice clean hotel

When I walked into my room it smelled like mildew. Upon setting my things down and getting ready to shower, I realized they only gave me one towel when it’s 2 adults listed on the reservation so I had to go back downstairs and ask the front desk for towels. Setting my things down in the bathroom to shower and I realized the toilet is dirty “ fecal matter on toilet seat” , there’s hair all on the toilet seat as well. There’s poop residue on the toilet. After cleaning the bathroom I shower quickly and get out to look through my bag and I spot something on the floor , as I look closer I realize it’s a dead roach. The carpet is wet so that’s where the smell of mildew is coming from. The sheets and blankets are dirty. I will never stay here again. It’s pure disgusting

My only point to add is that the coffee is in the laundry and gym room. I would like to suggest that it be placed somewhere in the main entry area as a welcoming offer to the guest. I was there for four days, and I only found out about it when I was using the gym one day. Other than that, I look forward to returning soon.

Was fine for a couple night’s stay. Front desk staff were nice. Room was decent but a little dirty. Did have good amenities in the suite (dishes, etc).

I arrived at 3:15 and was told it wouldn’t be a problem to check in. After some minutes I was asked if I wanted to go get lunch and the room actually wasn’t ready. When we return around 3:50 we were told to give them more time and put in a dirty waiting room which was just the gym/laundry machine room. My wife wanted us to have a nice trip and not get upset so I waited even though it was 4:15 when someone came to say our room was finally ready. Finally get to our room, and the doors unlocked. Told inside and the bottom of the sink open. I call downstairs and some guy comes where I have to ask what he’s doing. He says fixing the disposal. I asked how long that would take and he said about 45 minutes! I called back downstairs and told them it was unacceptable that this was happening when we just checked in and my wife and I are trying to shower and I literally have a baby in my arms. Again I could see my wife was trying to have me and her, keep our cool. The woman from check in said if we don’t need the disposal they can return tomorrow. I told them to do that. The room wasn’t any better. Dust everywhere. Didn’t want to sit on the couch it looked so dirty. Had to turn the AC to 61 to get it to cool. Restroom dirty and lighting broken. It was awful. The area was awful as well. Looks NOTHING like the photos on this app. Now I’m looking at my credit transactions and the $50 hold they put on my card was CHARGED! I will be calling and getting that money back. This is unacceptable!

I loved the fact that there are kitchen cookware and utensils in the areas and there are additional tools in the shared room for guests to use. It definitely enhanced the hotel stay immensely for us. We enjoy cooking ourselves over going out to eat.

Great experience. Had everything I need for my trip

It was a good room. Unfortunately the power went out in the morning and we had to walk down 3 floghts of steps without ANY lightning.

The power went out around 7 am making it very difficult to get ready to leave and unable to prepare our breakfast as we had no power

Our ac went out and then the manager came to our room at midnight to gaslight us that it’s working.

There was a transformer that cut the electricity off in the hotel, I think there should be a complimentary money off of your bill.

Called front desk to ask about a dress that I left behind. Front desk said they would get with housekeepers to check on my dress. I still haven’t received a call from anyone. Guess my dress is gone.

This facility is very practical. Perhaps the age of the building contributes to the damp feel of the carpet and the soft spots in the flooring. The kitchenette is adorable. We loved the large refrigerator and stovetop. Great shower! Delicious coffee! I would stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the suite and the roomy bathroom. However, the kitchen floor was sticky and there was an odor of greasy food in the suite.

Nothing not to like. The staff were very helpful I had a restful stay. Rooms were quiet and still has complete amenities compared to many newer hotels. I will definitely look for Simply Sonesta in the future.

There was a spider in the bathroom and the towel had a piece of hair in it

It was a ok stay except my refrigerator was dirty and still had food in it!!! Uuurggg!!! The lady in the lobby desk had to come up and clean it but I was bugged out and it still felt dirty.. It messed up my time away

Spacious room. Cable options were borderline non existent. No breakfast. It was ok for a place to rest my head. Did not see any bugs but the room could use a more updated look.

Was very clean. Staff was very friendly and made our stay very comfortable by taking care of every need. Pool was nice.

It was absolutely disgusting. The room looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in months and when asked for someone to come clean they said nobody was available. We ended up asking for a refund and found another hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE BUGS

The carpet needs a good cleaning or refreshing. It had a smell in the room and public areas. Otherwise it was an ok stay.

The hotel is fine for a one night stand or stay. A bit run down. Broken picture frame and dirty coffee pot in my room. Not the end of the world, but when the details are ignored, it is the beginning of the end.

I like the amenities inside the room.

I had a recliner that was not working properly and a TV remote that was half useful rendering the other half useless. Also, they need to separate people with dogs for those without (maybe a dog wing) as I had 2 yapping dogs all night long in neighboring rooms.

The rooms were ok and the location was decent. The staff was not the friendliest but not horrible. Just an average stay.

I needed a room with a kitchenette while visiting my father, who lives in a nursing home in Largo. The Sonesta Simply Suites accommodations met all my needs. It was clean, comfortable and in my price range. The pool was a nice bonus!

The stay was amazing although audit said I could get a 3pm checkout but first said the latest was 12:30 was kinda let down. But the stay was good, friendly staff, hsk was amazing! Definitely would stay again

Room was a mix of nice and trash. Like they ran out of money in midst of renovation. Nice bed and bedding. Picture accurate of nice cabinets, but rest if furniture looked like it was used and donated. Also not well cleaned. (Systems isn't working to download pictures

First off the room was nice when we first walked in then we noticed the shower head don't work right the TV gets 10 channels the phone was from 1990 the woman behind the counter the blonde lady was ignorant and rude didn't know nothing the rugs are dirty the pool is dirty the area is dirty the floor is dirty it's not a very good place to stay I do not recommend this place I can keep going on for hours and hours about the problems

Stay was average but CLEAN! . I just was disappointed with not being informed, using and not having my points on and towards my member reward program.

A good and comfortable stay, friendly service. The gym and pool looked good although I didn't have time to use them during my overnight stay (the pool area wasn't yet open at 6.30 am). Amenities are especially good for a longer stay (laundry, kitchen).

I was only there for about 12 hours but it was clean. Comfortable bad and friendly staff.

Had trouble with about 7-8 room card keys not working. Could utilize the kitchen as the garbage disposal would not work and the sink would not drain. Had to eat out more than we wanted too.

Convinient location, nice staff, room was clean & reasonable price for a family weekend.

Amazing

The pics make it look better than actually is. Carpets and hardwoods dirty! My bare feet were black after 1hour of walking on them. It is dog friendly but for us not traveling with dogs, it was frustrating to hear dogs barking thru the night.

We reserve here because it was very affordable, it was very clean, small but cozy, our room was across the elevators so hear everything, our only complaint is that even it’s a non-smoking hotel, someone in there were smoking marijuana, and the smell was coming out to the hallway, even though that states no smoking people always trying to get away with their bad habits, but overall was nice and close to what we needed. Thanks
