Attending woman at breakfast was rude. Breakfast wasn’t good at all.

It’s in a great location with access to stores and shops. The check in process took over 90 minutes. I was told that Marriott did not have a contract with Booking.con. They could not check me in when I got there. I had been on the road after a four and half hour drive and was unable to check in. I had to get a rep from Booking.com to talk to the front desk in order to resolve the issue. The two women who were at the front desk were however extremely helpful in getting me checked in. Their names were Angeles and Monique. It appears that Marriott had roles out a new computer system which did not perform the room assignments properly. So a family of five who had booked two queens beds and a sofa had to squeeze in to a king and a sofa. As these ladies assisted me I heard story after story of room assignments properly mishaps. There were other Booking.com users who were not able to access their reservation at all! This was disappointing to learn and to witness. In the midst of waiting there was a youth soccer team in the lobby so it was noisy and often difficult to hear the Booking.com agent. However, the Booking .com agent Mary was extremely patient and waiting until I received my key cards before she disconnected the call. I never experienced anything like this with Booking.com and I’m honestly reluctant to use you again. I cannot travel to a location that I paid for in advance to be turned away because there is a. Issue between Booking.com and the resort. Regarding Breakfast: There was a woman there on Saturday morning who was very attentive to restocking things as they ran short. However the hot water for tea was not at all hot and while I appreciated the turkey sausages there were no potatoes to accompany the sausage as not everyone eats eggs but overall the breakfast was OK. Regarding housekeeping: This was my first experience of having housekeeping enter my room and take out garbage and refresh towels but do not make the bed. This was also disappointing. I just thought the entire weekend stay was off.

Place was clean and exactly as described. Excellent location. Breakfast was decent. Stocked up and clean. What stood out to me was integrity of employees. My wife forgot her brand new Nintendo switch 2 in the room. Hotel employees locked it in the safe at the front desk and called me to come retrieve it. Outstanding.
- 5/5
Clean room. Spacious and open!
- 5/5
Extremely clean rooms clean hotel the only negative thing I have to say is that the beds are not so comfortable beautiful but not as comfortable as they look
- 4/5
Breakfast sausage sandwich bread was hard
- 2/5
For the expected volume of athletes at the hotel, breakfast was a joke- hardboiled eggs and a sausage patty. The front desk staff were rude to any adult that approached them from our athletic team throughout the entire weekend.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Comfortable and clean room. Complimentary breakfastvwas included which was definitely a plus. Also near the mall. Would definitely stay again when staying in Albany.
- 3/5
Hotel staff were courteous. Room was clean. Toilet had some issues- kept running and needed to have the handle jiggled to stop it.
- 2/5
Pool was down the entire stay, which was one reason we chose the hotel. The toilet didn’t flush.
- 5/5
Room clean, had no issues.
- 5/5
Great service and very clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was very nice and professional

Ignored at the front desk during check in. Was not told the hotel was undergoing renovations.
- 3/5
Better properties in the area.
- 5/5
I liked it
- 3/5
The poace was clean and front desk was friendly. Breakfast was not great because someone had called out sick and there wasnt much food at 9:00. No cups, no eggs, no bread, slim pickings. And the pool was cold. Expected a heated pool.
- 5/5
Excellent stay, very clean and great continental breakfast. Loved the room layout for our family!
- 5/5
Been a while since I stayed at this chain. Did not remember how spacious the rooms were. Loved this hotel.
- 5/5
Overall great experience
- 4/5
Room was very clean and comfortable. Nice layout of room with 2 sinks. Only complaint is lots of motorcycles wizzing by on main highway to wake you up

So quiet and clean

When I arrived at the hotel, I was processed by a front desk clerk who did not greet me. I say processed because he did not say hello. I said hello to him. In fact, he did not greet me in any way until later on that day when I came back and I said hello to him again and he finally said hello back to me. I felt like I was being processed, the way we might be processed at the Department of Motor Vehicles. When I was handed my room key cards they were wrapped in a sticky note with my room number written on it. The air conditioning in my room was insufficient. By that, I mean, it went out twice in two days. Once around 5 o’clock in the afternoon on the second day I was there. And then again around 4 o’clock in the morning on my departure. Not pleasant.Fortunately, the outages were intermittent and eventually, the air conditioning came back. By, outages, I mean the air conditioner was blowing out air that was not cold at that time, and, thusly, the room was hot and muggy. Also, I did not appreciate the opportunity to only have Internet access if I were willing to fill out a questionnaire that, again, using the DMV analogy, required me to fill out a form that asked a lot of questions prior to gaining access to the free WiFi. This is not what I expected coming into this hotel. Fortunately, I have a phone with built-in hotspot capabilities. I used that. This was not a pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Quick check in, clean room and comfortable beds. Breakfast was at 7:00 am but some guests needed to get to events rather early. The breakfast staff let us get food a little bit before 7:00 am which was most appreciated.
- 2/5
This was the worse hotel i stayed in for long time. From moldy bathroom , sink that does not drain and shower door dirty... being a Bonvoy hotel, its a disappointing
- 1/5
The bed was horrible and uncomfortable with a thin saggy, mattress. The shower faucet handle broke off in when my son tried to turn it on, leaving water gushing with no way to turn it off. I called the front desk and they said there was no one to fix it. I was able to turn it with my fingers. When I spoke to the manager in the morning, he was flat, not apologetic and made me feel like I was wrong for saying anything to them, like I was supposed to expect these room conditions. After I also shared that there were guests stoping above me and jumping off the bed past 11:00 pm, he then relented and said he could credit me 11,000 points. I have yet to see that reflected on my Marriot Bonvoy account.
- 5/5
Beautiful room and everyone was helpful and accommodating
- 4/5
Clean, friendly staff, convenient location for us !
- 5/5
I stayed here for my cousins graduation and I loved how convenient the location was not only to the campus but the shopping areas.
- 5/5
Great facility and clean. Big rooms.
- 2/5
The rooms themselves were alright. Clean, but cheaply updated. The bathrooms are incredibly tiny and lack room for comfort. The TV was outdated and did not work well. Beds are not ideal if you have back issues. The hotel had 1 working elevator. So unless you chose to take the stairs, you had to wait a considerable amount of time to get on the elevator. Room service carts also clogged the hallways. Even during off hours they remained in the halls. The breakfast was bare minimum, and the food that WAS there looked low in quality and re-heated from the previous day. My family will not be returing to this property in the future. Don't let other reviews fool you. This property has gone downhill big time. For the current price to stay, its a down right ripoff.
- 5/5
The staff is friendly. The TV had no signal and we couldn’t watch it. Everything else was great! Thanks
- 5/5
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. However the building was having remodeling done and kind of a mess.
- 4/5
Went with my 3 granddaughters, we thought it was amazing. Room was terrific.
- 5/5
Doing some renovations but still a good place to stay. Quiet and clean
- 5/5
And breakfast was good too!
- 5/5
We were so happy with the accommodations. The trundle bed/ sofa in the suite worked perfectly for our needs. We've decided to just go with Springhill Suites in the future for our travel needs.
- 5/5
Great place.
- 3/5
Walking into the hotel it was very friendly. The pool was nice. The gym was nice and walking into our room. Our room was beautiful. However, our TV didn’t work. There was a big dark brown stain on the curtain and when we went to turn the air conditioning on, it sounded like we were at a train station. However, I would still stay here again because it was a nice place. It was just a few issues.
- 5/5
Good clean hotel
- 5/5
was comfortable
- 4/5
Nice area because the shops were close.
- 4/5
Everything was great except the parking lot was icy and not well cleared.
- 5/5
Just got here but everything is in order and the front desk was knowledgeable.
- 4/5
Room was clean little outdated. They are in the process of updating. Staff was friendly and professional
- 5/5
Hotel is very nice. It is a bit older but still in good shape. The room was big and clean. The beds were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was much better than others we have had. They even had gluten free bagels!
- 5/5

This place was beautiful and friendly. Wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom in my room but i def would stay here again.
- 5/5
Staff are super friendly. We had a little problem they fix it on the spot. It was very professional.
- 3/5
Great location and room size. Worn and outdated, but decently clean. Kind and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Little noisy in the morning, but overall was really good choice!
- 4/5
Awesome hotel and awesome staff ! Would definitely recommend!
- 5/5
Great spot!
- 1/5
Dirty filthy and with unprofessional staff at the front desk.
- 4/5
Sarina at the Front Desk was AMAZINGLY Professional and Warm which made my Team and I very Thankful!
- 4/5
Nice hotel that we stayed at while passing through. Clean. Had a nice kitchenette.
- 2/5
I had to request a room change the Television was no working they made me empty the room in the second floor go to the lobby with all my luggage without offering help to give me another room a few doors down in the same floor I just came from in the second floor. So upsetting.
- 1/5
breakfast was good
- 2/5
Sofa had quit noticable stains and looked unkempt, which made it uncomfortable to sit on. For the price i paid, i expected better experience.
- 4/5
we stay here whenever we are in town. it’s conveniently located and the staff is super friendly and accommodating.
- 4/5
Easy access and great price!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
We visited Albany for family weekend at UAlbany. The room was clean and beautiful. We stayed for two nights. The housekeeping staff did not get the opportunity to clean our room as we returned to the hotel about 1pm or later and they were still working on the room opposite ours. She handed us fresh towels and was very apologetic and extremely nice. The breakfast needed a variety but was ok. Overall I had a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend and stay there again
- 3/5
Rooms are a bit run down. Bathrooms dated in need of upgrades
- 4/5
Business in area. Stayed one night. Ate at Ralph’s Tavern across the street so it was a convenient place to eat.
- 2/5
Rude staff on Saturday in the breakfast area
- 3/5
The property is apparently being assumed by a new owner. The wallpaper was coming off the walls in the bathrooms, the sofa was worn and bleach stained. There was a note at the main desk about the new owner, but still, the rate was $200/night or so....one expects better fro the price
- 1/5
Terrible customer service. Very mean front desk attendant
- 2/5
I didn’t like this hotel a woman’s pad was in the garage they never cleaned the garbage before we . There was hardly any breakfast there
- 1/5
This hotel should be shut down until that renovation is complete. I’m not even sure how it’s legal to operate in its current state.
- 5/5
Amazing stay! Great breakfast and we enjoyed the pool. Def will stay here again
- 1/5
The beds were full of bed bugs. They had to move us to another room. My daughter was freaked out and was afraid to get in the bed. We were away because of a field hockey tournament that she was in. Needless to say she played with getting good rest due to the bed bug problem the hotel has.

Two people from the bridal party decided to stay in the alternative overnight as offered by Monique. At approximately 10:55am the following morning, Moin R. came to the alternative room, 107, knocked and entered the room and aggressively demanded 2 of the women to “get out!” He stated that we were not permitted to occupy the space for sleep but solely use the bathroom. He threatened to charge my card for an overnight stay. One of the woman called me and advised me of same. I immediately went to the front desk to address the issue. I introduced myself as the cardholder. Moin stated he was a manager and immediately started to yell saying that we were not to use the room to sleep and I would be charged. I explained the conversation with Monique and he continued to reiterate same several time and kept cutting me off as I attempted to explain my conversation with Monique. I advised Moin that I felt like he was being

Very good!
- 4/5
I liked the location and very nice clean rooms with space for working and or sitting and relaxing
- 4/5
It was a standard hotel.
- 4/5
Staff very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
We had a really nice stay. The hotel was quiet, breakfast was good, and the room was spacious. The sofa in the room was kind of dirty and did not smell fresh but we didn’t spend any time on it anyway so it was forgivable.
- 5/5
Excellent free breakfast, friendly staff
- 5/5
Walking distance to restaurants. Clean and quiet. Breakfast was good and a good variety of food.
- 5/5
I loved the location. Stayed here after connection day at u albany.
- 4/5
I have stayed at this property many times. The rooms are nice, clean and have wonderful showers. As always, the staff are great from top to bottom. The breakfast stinks. Watery, weird scrambled "eggs" and waffles in plastic wrap. . . . The best part of staying there is the location. There is a great (seasonal) ice cream shop in front of the property, and across the street is Ralph's, a great family run Italian/American restaurant that I go to pretty much every night when I stay at this hotel.
- 3/5
Overall good stay, but breakfast menu needs to be improved .. no breads , no vegetarians options . Restrooms locks don’t works . Hotel needs to check the room before allocating it. When customer pays high amount , deserves the value of his/ her money.
- 5/5
My stay was good and relaxing. The room was comfy and clean. Breakfast was good as well.
- 5/5
Although I stayed for one night it was wonderful. The bed was comfortable. Slept like a baby. The room was nicely spaced out. Clean and comfy.
- 4/5
In an area with a good amount of options. $20 deposit on the stay was a definite plus. Would definitely stay again!!!
- 3/5
Just didn’t feel up to standards for a SpringHill Suite
- 4/5
I’m disabled so I get an accessible room which is quite spacious and I have plenty of room to maneuver with my walker I just wish there was an arm chair in the room as it’s hard for me to get out of the low sitting couch It’s very centrally located if you are visiting someone at the university The breakfast could use an upgrade I would stay here again and recommend to others
- 5/5
The staff was so polite, understanding, made sure our needs was met. It was clean. The rooms was very spacious. I will definitely stay again if i go back to Albany
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our original room had a problem with the shower valve. They quickly changed our room and apologized profusely for the inconvenience.
- 5/5
The room was nice beds were very comfortable plenty of room to move around Everything was clean Staff was very pleasant We will be staying here again
- 5/5
lovely clean spacious room with a kitchenette. This hotel is close to everything it was perfect for our family!
- 5/5
Staff was excellent, especially Joy at the breakfast buffet!
- 5/5
Fairly new hotel with spacious rooms. Nice breakfast and great staff. Hotel is located near shopping mall.
- 4/5
service very good
- 3/5
Never got clean towels or the room cleaned
- 5/5
Room was great. King bed was very comfortable. Walk in shower was helpful and relaxing after a long drive. Cleanliness of room was great. Check in was easy. The gentleman at the front desk was curtious and easy to talk with.
- 5/5
This hotel is conveniently located, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast is comprehensive! This was our second time staying here and we'd definitely book again.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, very clean and well maintained. Staff was helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay again.
- 2/5
Overall, way too many eeuuu-yucky things wrong.
- 5/5
I dont recall the gentleman's name at check in, however he was pleasantly friendly and warm and easy to chat with while getting checked in and nowadays that isnt always the case so I needed to point that out! The room overall was pretty clean but the couch cushions had some crunchy stains on the edge of the cushions appearing to be food related, I noticed while opening the pullout sofa for my son. And under the main bed there were some empty chip/snack bags that weren't from us. So, not totally thrilled with the cleaning of the room but overall it was a pretty nice room
- 2/5
Room given was not what was reserved - I reserved a room with 2 queen beds and was given a king with a pull-out couch which was nowhere as comfortable (they stated they had no other rooms available). Also, the room was not properly cleaned (toiletries from the previous occupants were still in the bathroom) and the sliding door to the toilet was off the tracks and difficult to use.
- 5/5
Hidden gem!
- 4/5
We were pleased with Spring Hill Suites. We found it a little pricey, but I guess everything costs more these days.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely nice. The lady doing morning kitchen was super nice.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room and all around great stay!
- 2/5
Doors were falling apart, was told that should’ve notified them sooner, then before it was found so it could be fixed with glue or duct tape. Breakfast was bleak. One option for anyone with allergies which was a packaged muffin. Coffee was Luke warm at best. Pool was tiny and cold. Housekeeping entered the room despite the do not disturb sign. Only replaced 2 towels. When questioned, was told that housekeeping doesn’t do rooms unless requested and i should’ve known to ask for clean towels. Never will stay here again.
- 4/5
Great place under new ownership, went there for a soccer tournament, the only bad thing is too many kids unsupervised. Not the hotels fault, the front desk guy was doing his best to keep things in order with those kids. Fortunately most of the parents were taking care of their own.
- 5/5
Good but way too many kids without adult supervision
- 5/5
The room was very nice - comfortable and clean. A thoughtful gesture was that they left 2 water bottles in the room for us (not seen that at other hotels). The breakfast was very good with a nice variety not seen at most places (topping bar for both the eggs and the yogurt) PLUS they had gluten-free muffins! That made me very happy! =)
