Reviews
The hotel generally receives positive reviews for its cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, and good location. However, there are some recurring issues with the rooms, such as noise from neighboring rooms or outside, problems with the air conditioning or heating, and cleanliness issues in some cases. The breakfast buffet also receives mixed reviews, with some guests finding it overpriced and others enjoying it.

Kinda stupid you have to pay $10 to park. There is lots of parking and it’s not in a downtown area or anything like that.
- 5/5
Great stay. Good breakfast at additional cist $20. Easy parking at additional cost $10.

The drapes make it easy to sleep in past sunrise.

I absolutely love everything about this hotel. Location, design, layout, amenities, and most importantly - the staff. The friendliest staff of an hotel I;ve stayed anywhere in the world. I should mention Jill (I think that was her name). We arrived very late - after a 4 hour delay with our airline - and at 2am she was a friendly, helpful, welcome surprise who went overboard to welcome us and help get us settled. Thank you Jill!
- 2/5
The hotel itself was okay. The staff at the breakfast buffet were friendly and nice. We checked in on Friday and did not have room service provide new towels, toilet paper, remove garbage, etc. until Monday morning.
- 3/5
It was underwhelming. For $200 a night, it was just ok. Sheets had stains on them. Carpet in hallways was a tripping hazard. Room hvac was inconsistent and noisy.
- 5/5
Best hotel stay I ever had!
- 5/5
Clean rooms and very nice atmosphere to enjoy.
- 4/5
Pool was nice, Hot tub was HOT. It was nice to have a Starbucks in the lobby area. Free cookies on check were also a plus. Staff was helpful in getting a few extra towels and glass cups for the room.

Room was very clean and comfortable, very roomy, hot tub and pool was amazing
- 1/5
The room was not serviced for the 3 days we stayed. We had to track down toilet rolls, coffee and towels. No shower curtain and the bathroom fan did not work
- 3/5
I enjoyed the stay, there was an issue in the lobby one evening which took a while to resolve that made one night unsettling. I would stay again if I needed to be in the area
- 1/5
Staff was rude and wouldn't help
- 3/5
Don’t waive your time paying for the view room. It’s nothing but pot shops and buildings. Waste of money!
- 4/5
My husband and I had a great time at this hotel. The room was clean, the staff was friendly. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It was a bit noisy at night due to the traffic on the highway. I wish the hotel had better insulation on the windows.
- 4/5
Was not aware of having to pay for parking nor was there any complementary breakfast until after we checked in. This was very disappointing.
- 5/5
Hot tub and pool were really nice.

Arrived at midnight as noted in Rez. They couldn’t make a key due to 12-1am key outage nightly. They placed me at the opposite end of the front desk on the basement. It was a long ways away and I was tired. Not a great experience - would not recommend this hotel. It’s tired and need new mgmt and trained housekeepers.
- 2/5
The hotel needs some updates. First room, window wouldn’t shut. Packed up and moved to a second room and someone had previously been smoking in a non-smoking room. The third room, the a/c was broken but too exhausted from our trip and realizing too late it was just the fan blowing. Every time the fan went off, the vent rattled against the frame. Room was hot and bathroom floor had hair along the outside of the shower. After moving to three different rooms, we were exhausted and it was late or we would have asked for a refund and left. Not a great experience. They did provide us free breakfast tickets given the number of times we moved rooms.

Staff was awesome! I’ll stay there sgain

Love the location, love the staff, love the walk out rooms on the ground floor - it makes traveling with pets so much easier! People smoking cigarettes and pot on the balconies and outdoors

We had a good stay. Our biggest gripe was that the tv channels were unusually limited. I’ve had a much better selection of tv channels in less expensive hotels.

I’m impressed! Very clean rooms. Very attentive staff and my request was also accommodated. I’m very happy with the service and the hotel!

Very nice room. Cory was great, we appreciated her changing our room to a room with a balcony.

And the bed was too soft for me .

Breakfast a little pricey for what many places would have included

I love that the room had a large tv with netflix and youtube. I also look forward to atleast a netflix tv. I really hate that I had to pay for parking on property. Otherwise my kids and I love the place.

Room was okay. You can tell it is outdated. Room 316 is very noisy. I’m not sure what is above it but there was a ton of banging around at 11pm as well as a ton of traffic noise from the rode. Pool and hot tub fun for kids.
- 4/5
We found out after a long hike to our room that the front of the building is all lobby and restaurants and conference rooms. If your room is on the first floor you need to walk away is to get to the elevator. And if your room is on the second floor that is actually the same for as the lobby. We hiked and packed all of our gear all the way around to the back of the building and found our room and put our stuff away and then walked back to the front of the hotel to get in our car and drive it around back. Where there's a door right next to an elevator 30 ft from our room. The desk clerk check-in would have been great if they could have clued us on the best way to get there.

Overall I am disappointed in my stay. We were on a multi day trip for my niece because she will be going to Colorado College in the fall and they were hosting some events for new students. One of the main reasons we booked with Doubletree is because the pool and hot tub looked way nicer than other hotels. However after we booked and only a couple days before check-in, we were informed that the pool was undergoing reservations but that it would be finished by the time we got there. When getting there, we found out that was not the case and that the pool wasn't going to be ready until the next evening and that it might take a while to heat up. We weren't happy but it was something that we just had to deal with. So, we went down on our 3rd day there and were met with puddles of water around the pool and hot tub, the hot tub being luke warm and the pool freezing. Had we known about the pool issue, we would have booked elsewhere, maybe even a different Hilton property. I stay at a lot of Hilton properties and it has made me question if I should be looking at other hotels to stay at. Especially when I spent a lot of money on this stay at Hilton.

Location and friendliness of staff. Breakfast took longer than expected. From the time we ordered to the time we got our meal, we needed to take it to go to make it to work on time. There weren’t many people in the restaurant so not why it took so long but the staff was lovely.

When we got to the hotel with our Booking.com reservation number and pin for the correct date, we were told that Booking.com had not paid the hotel for the room and they would not honor our reservation. We paid Booking.com directly. The hotel refused our request through Booking.com for a refund, and Booking.com will not refund our money if the hotel refuses.

Staff was amazing during dinner Natalie was such an attentive server and was just great

Love this hotel! Great location and the best staff
- 3/5
I was also very disappointed with the breakfast. It was a continental breakfast that should be included with the stay, but cost us $60 for a family of 4 with two kids eating cereal for breakfast.
- 5/5
Staf was friendly, room was clean and large and had refrigerator and microwave.
- 3/5
The staff was a little standoff-ish, because we book the rooms through a third party. Also, the pool and hot tub were under construction. But we were not informed before hand,

The property and room were clean, the air condition was not cooling the room, the toilet flush did not work properly. Staff was friendly and the purchased breakfast was good. Overall it was ok, but bedrooms could use a face lift.
- 2/5
I was very disappointed that I was not informed that the pool and hot tub were being renovated. That was the main reason I selected this Hotel.
- 2/5
Presidential suite was a bit run down and the tub was broke. Pool also was out of commission. They didn’t offer any refunds.
- 2/5
They charge parking for guest staying there. Pool out of service. AC unit did not keep the unit cool. Room had a smell to it. Rooms didn’t seemed cleaned.

Room we stayed in had some type of mold on restroom ceiling. Pool was under repairs although Expedia advertised it as functional. Breakfast is not included. Stayed three nights and room was not serviced for us or the other party we were with. When I mentioned it to the lady at the counter at check out, all she said is that she would ask house keeping. Booked through Expedia for our 30th anniversary but was disappointed with this hotel choice.
- 4/5
It was disappointing to arrive to find out pool was closed due to renovations. But the staff was great. Shout out to Cory! The atmosphere was very beautiful but relaxing. The food was fantastic! I will be going back for sure!

My room had a few problems. The bathroom door needs to be planed, as it grazes the floor. Toilet sits a bit too low for me. The convenient side outlets on the little table between the beds did not work. Other than a few hiccups, it was a very nice hotel and most of what I expected from a Double Tree Hilton. Very clean and the lobby area was very classy. Breakfast was nice. There's a menu option or the buffet and a Starbucks. Enjoyed my stay very much.
- 4/5
The pool was closed, not mention on Expedia. Our door look to the door did not work, and the water for the shower would not drain.

We didn’t any tissues and ran out of body wash, we got there super late and didn’t want to call or head to the front for more. Bathroom needed a look over around the ends but other than that it was a decent stay.

We had stayed here before and liked it but the quality has definitely declined. The hotel also started charging $10 for parking. Even though they offer a free shuttle to the airport. I noted no signs on their parking lot stating it was for hotel residence only.

When I booked this room I specifically put in all the filters for amenities that I wanted in the hotels we were looking to book. The doubletree seemed like the best option based on our need for an indoor pool and hot tub so I booked the presidential suite for the weekend. When we checked in we were told the pool area was off limits for the next few months and had been under construction for about a month already and pretty much ruined the excitement my son and wife had about relaxing and swimming during our stay. This was my wife’s birthday weekend and was supposed to be a relaxing time just taking it easy. Had I known all of this before I booked I would have obviously booked somewhere else. I don’t have any hopes of this review going anywhere important other than just warning folks about the misleading practice on their end
- 5/5
Everything was Great! One exception, my wife went down to your bar Thursday night after we checked in. She ordered one glass of Chardonnay to bring back to our room. At the bar she signed a tab charging her $10 for the one wine. After check out we discovery a charge of almost $20 had been added. Looks like we were over billed on the wine. Also, the front desk took a $50 Deposit at check in and told me it would be refunded upon checking out. I don't think it's been refunded to our account yet.

Room was clean. Front desk staff was not very pleasant. The best part of this place was the bartender, Martini.
- 4/5
Room was large, clean and quiet. Breakfast is very expensive and the coffee shop doesn't have anything but burritos for breakfast.

The room service was great and the server was very polite and friendly. I left my room friday morning at about 640, my room was closed and locked securely. When I returned that night at 7 PM.My door was a jar and propped, open with the deadbolt. I'm assuming when housekeeping came. They had propped the door open with a deadbolt but forgot to ondo. So when they were done cleaning the room, leaving my room unsecure for multiple hours, this was very concerning, as I had left a very expensive cpat machine. And my work computer laptop on the table. Fortunately, nothing was stolen. However, the fact that my room was left unsecure for more than 5 minutes and could have been most of the day. Unsecured was very concerning and disturbing for me and left me feeling frustrated and unhappy.

The hotel was in a great location for where we needed to be the next morning. The staff was courteous and welcoming. The room was tidy with a great soaking tub and shower. The bed, however, was not comfortable and we were awoken to an extremely loud bass noise around 3 am. It continued for about 10-15 minutes. We could not locate where it was coming from and of course, couldn’t get back to sleep after it stopped. We were on the courtyard side of the hotel, so it could have been coming from the parking lot. Anyhow, not the hotel's fault, just something that kept us from having a good nights sleep before a funeral and long drive home. The breakfast buffet had everything you needed to get your day going, and again, the service was incredible. I am sure the courtyard is beautiful in the spring and summer months when the fountain is going and the mountain backdrop is breathtaking.
- 5/5
Nothing better than staying at a wonderful hotel than an empty, wonderful hotel! We came for a random stay with our kiddos because we love the pool here, but the front desk and bar staff were great! Room was excellent (one of the largest tvs we've had in a 2q room before). Thinking about having our daughter's birthday party here in a few months and booking one of their suites!
- 5/5
Nice lobby, rooms were very updated but the carpet to the stairs and the carpet and paint where the rooms were still look like they came from the early 2000's. It doesn’t look bad but it needs to be updated. Also those doors to some of those rooms were not shutting properly. The pool area was very nice and so was the bar/lobby area!
- 1/5
We did not receive a room with a balcony. The stay was ok otherwise however would have preferred a balcony.
- 5/5
I booked this place for the pool and hot tub but feel in love with the whole place! The hot tub is always hot and the pool feels great too! Will book again
- 5/5
my overall experience was excellent. The staff was welcoming and professional, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the amenities exceeded expectations. It has a lot of potential. The white lights in the room is terrible. the plus on the lamp doesn't work... Carpet is old, fridge was either to warm or froze our drinks and food...

The staff especially the front desk were Amazing Eand always kind.

Very clean room. Staff was very nice.

The food at the resaraunt was terrible. I have had better frozen tv dinners than their thanks giving dinner. Another meal we had the pastrami sandwich and it was mostly fat with no taste. We decided to eat elsewhere after that. Terrible
- 5/5
Great stay and holiday vibe while my family and I were there for Thanksgiving!
- 4/5
Room was great, plenty of room and the perfect location. The only complaint we had was there were a few issues with the plumbing. The bathrooms clogged a few times during our stay. Other than that we truly enjoyed it stay
- 5/5
Friendly, professional staff and wonderful perks (jacuzzi, lounge areas, and cookies) made our stay here a memorable event! Would definitely stay again!!
- 4/5
The room was great! The pool was warm! The hot tub was amazing! Loved our stay! Only complaints: breakfast was not very good, but we did show up right as breakfast was starting the first day. The second day the hut tub jets weren't working. Lastly, no charging points or the power outlets by the bed worked. Would stay here again! Loved the parlor suite! Great three days/two nights!

The room was clean, amenities were reasonable. Water pressure in the shower was low and also hard to flush the toilet.

Staff was courteous. There were healthy options at the restaurant. Airport shuttle service was helpful. Appeared to have good event facilities.
- 5/5
clean room, safe hotel, lots of space and right off highway
- 5/5
The only bad note was the restaurant, the buffet was mediocre and the waffles were eggos and dry as a bone, if they put out bread again make sure it stays fresh and doesn't dry out. Andd the menu items weren't that good. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and the gravy was a mess, it was oily, floury, almost rancid.

Had no restaurant

Staff all around was amazing especially Ana. The room upon arrival was pretty dirty. We had other peoples hair in the bed, pillow cases stank, and the shower also had other peoples hair in it as well. Room selection was pretty terrible as well with the carpet being nasty feeling and the interstate being right there. Regardless of what we tried we could hear traffic all night so barely slept each night. Only reason we didn’t cancel is because double tree doesn’t do refunds. Otherwise I would recommend staying elsewhere. Sorry.

I usually have a good experience at DoubleTree Hotels. Unfortunately that was not the case this time. We were in Colorado Springs to honor fallen firefighters. And were staying for 2 nights. I booked a King Room. When we arrived I was given the room key and was recognized as a "Hilton Honors Member". However when we got to our room they had put us in a room with 2 double beds. I went back down to the front desk and was told I was bumped to a lesser room. They had overbooked and moved people around and Hilton Honors Members get preferred treatment. I said "I AM a Hilton Honors Member" the staff member said, "Oh, but you didn't book directly through Hilton, so we moved you." They also put us next to the elevator (so you can hear the elevator & everyone getting on and off the elevator). I asked for a room not near the elevator. The staff member told me she could move us, but we would have street view. That the room by the elevator at least had courtyard view. Look at the attached photo of the "courtyard view". STOP! No one tried to make any effort to give us what we paid for. The next morning I looked on their website and saw a King Room was available. I asked if we could be moved for our 2nd night and was again told that even though THEIR website showed an available King Bed....they again overbooked and I wasn't worthy enough to be moved to a King Room. I travel a lot and I will never stay at a DoubleTree again.

Loved the Hilton hotel rooms so nice had sofas and beds were soft breaker was a well enjoyed the pool staff were very freindly plenty of shops near by
- 4/5
It took a long time to pick up my food to take to the room for dinner, but the food was excellent and the staff offered to bring it up! My biggest complaint was plumbing. I didnt like the shower head-hard to adjust to my height and hard to find the temp (bad confusing hot/cold handle..just kept going around) when I tried to take a bath the next day. The sink handle also just went all the way back. You had to adjust back to the middle just to shut it off! I didnt sleep Sat night because traffic (motorcycles and cars were speeding down the street after midnight) I got up to check the window but it was secure. I realize you cant control traffic! I only add this because I was falling asleep in my Lifestyles class Sunday afternoon so I went to buy an energy drink from the front desk. The very nice employee bought my drink because I didnt get sleep. This made my day and was ultimate customer service! The fitness center was clean, great equipment, and I appreciated the towels and water! (I just couldnt find the tv remote! :)

Front desk lady was rude. Very offsetting for when we first got there. Couldn’t get a rollaway because of “fire code” even though that’s never been an issue at any other hotel. Pool was very wet and slippery even when slowly walking. Coffee at the coffee place was absolutely horrible. Don’t recommend getting anything from there.

- 5/5
It was a great stay. We were here for 3 nights and it was very good. For the breakfast, it’s definitely more worth paying for the buffet than ordering from the menu. The buffet is more value for the money but the food was still very good. Highly recommend! Very clean, delicious cookies, and great staff. I love being able to park the car and just walk everywhere. The area was walkable, depending on where you were going. We went to the arena, the movie theater and the surrounding stores. The area was surprisingly quiet as well.

Unfortunately, my initial check-in with the assistant front desk manager was frustrating. Each time I tried to speak with her, she stopped mid-conversation to check in pilots, leaving me waiting and unable to finish what I was saying. On top of that, when I realized I had accidentally booked the wrong room, she refused to help and referred me back to Expedia. I then spent 45 minutes on the phone with Expedia trying to sort it out in the lobby. When Candy came in, however, she immediately stepped in and fixed everything in just two minutes. She was kind, attentive, and pleasant to work with. She truly saved the entire experience. I understand I made the error, but I wish the assistant manager had shown a little more effort and willingness to help instead of passing me off. It left a sour taste—though thankfully Candy’s professionalism and care made all the difference

Beds were wonderful. Food was good too

Tammy at the front desk was amazing and so very helpful. There were others that we less than helpful and acted like they couldn’t be bothered. Thank you Tammy for taking the time to help me!!!!

The hotel was nice and convenient to the things we needed to do. There was a Target and a Chili’s across the street. The only issue we had was that the hotel room door was really hard to open. The bar was nice and the bartender was friendly.

This hotel was clean but not well maintained. The elevator to the pool was in poor condition, and the hot tub was out of order. At night, we prefer a cool room, but the air conditioner did not work well and was loud. We did not sleep well for three nights.

I had asked to have our room to be made up daily. It took four contacts to the front desk and being out of our room all day before the room was finally cleaned at 7:00 pm. The night staff did help us by giving us a free dinner at the hotel. The pool area is very dated. I was picking up garbage around the pool that was never cleaned. The men's restroom was not cleaned very often either. The breakfast buffet was only so-so and definitely not worth the $19 price tag. We found the hotel overpriced and would avoid it in the future. However, we did appreciate the shuttle to the airport.

It was very noisy and our windows were filthy. I wouldn’t stay here again.
- 1/5
Extremely outdated hotel rooms. The pictures on Expedia are not accurate what so ever. The water fountain was not working, the pool and hot tub were very dirty and the gym was also outdated. The hallways and rooms smelt like urine. I would recommend to anyone thinking of staying here to look elsewhere.

Great bar and breakfast. Clean and safe.

Our first day , attitude was giving from the ladies in the lobby , had me wondering if they hate their jobs . Daily had to go to the lobby everyday to clean our rooms when they apparently do it every morning . We asked them to fix the tub the morning after our first stay , when coming back late afternoon it was still not fixed. Bad enough the rooms weren’t clean .

Needed to get away with my babies ❤️ it’s crazy you don’t have any discounts for firefighters or state employees

Room service was poor. Out of the 2 days of stay one day rooms were not cleaned other day they forgot about towels. Shower handle was not broken but close.

Great hotel.

The property has a great entrance and check in. However the rooms seem to be a little dated and worn down. I wouldn't say here again.
- 3/5
Be nice since they offer all other procducts in a pump.the hallway carpet is so warped you can’t drag your suitcase down the hall

My room was at the very furthest point from the front lobby. The hotel is huge and it was a maze to get to my room. Very confusing layout. My room backed up to the highway and I heard sirens, trucks, and motorcycles all night long. The people above me were up at 3 a.m. and that kept me up all night

Was perfect for what i was looking for

Came into town for LOUIE CK show. Front desk super friendly, gave us cookies. Room was super clean n comfortable. Hotel is a solid location close to food. Bar was super nice.

Loved this hotel. It was beautiful and staff was great! Only things I would change is the mattresses and the refrigerator. Mattresses were pretty hard and refrigerator did not get very cold. There was no area in the refrigerator to keep anything frozen like a small ice cream or anything. Other than those two things, our stay was perfect!

The ac unit in the room didn’t work the two nights I stayed. I had to leave the patio door open. The beds are horrible
- 5/5
I liked everything about this place. Great stuff and amazing environment.
- 2/5
The air condition in the room was terrible. Had a hard time just to make it tolerable. Then the fridge was set to defrost when we got to the room. Had to be switch to refridgerate. The maintenance ended up giving us a box fan due to how hot it was in our room. The outside fountain in the courtyard is gone so the pictures of the hotel is misleading. Overall it was way overpriced for this type of hotel and needs a ton of upgrades to the property.

We stay in the lower level and when people walk on the second floor look like the ceiling was going to fall. And it had a weird smell. But The bed was comfortable. It is renovated but the structure needs work.

Terrible food. Our breakfast was cold an unappealing.

Cleaning staff was excellent.

The facilty was very attractive, neat abd clean. One complaint. On the last night of our stay, my wife ordered a $32 meal, took it to our room, opened it and it had hair in it. She didn’t want to take it back to complain so I shared my meal. We left hers in the fridge when we left.

Great location. Check in was fast and friendly! Dustin was nice and very efficient!
- 4/5
All the staff was friendly from the front desk host, to the bartender, and the maintenance group. I was upset though I had specifically called in advanced before arrival to ensure the hot tub was working. I was assured it was, but it was not. It was still warm, but the jets were not in service. That was the only flaw. I wished she had told me the hottub was not working, because I would have stayed at another place had I known that. Otherwise, very nice place.

Was a really nice hotel to stay at for the price, would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone if there in that part of town

I loved this place, great service and staff. The area is amazing as well you have a movie theatre, restaurants of all sorts, you are also close to downtown as well. The only gripe I have is the holding charge, that me and my wife didn’t know about. I don’t know if it is on expedias that didn’t mention it or the hotels fault by not putting it in when you book the room, I feel like that is important information when booking a room for people to know. But overall wonderful experience at the hotel.

2. Bathroom ceiling paper was removed for a large area. 3. False alarm happened on Saturday night, but there was no information front desk. 4. Fruits quality of morning buffet was aweful. I found mold inside of almost all of Boisen Berries. Melons were perished. Please return money or give us some kind of voucher. Points to my Hilton 887164482 is also good.

You can tell this is an old hotel needing updated in the rooms while the lobby and bar area is wonderfully updated. Pool was freezing and hot tub was a Luke warm not hot sadly did not help my back from their hard beds
