SpringHill Suites by Marriott Colorado Springs North/Air Force Academy

Only complaint is a design flaw. The bathroom door is frosted glass and faces the beds, so if someone uses the restroom at night it’s bright to the sleeping people.

We booked 2 queen bedroom property and we were given only 1 king bed in the room. Upon checking with the hotel staff they said they don't reserve or hold the rooms if the booking is made via expedia which is a 3rd party to them.

Wasn’t able to check in until 6 pm. Room not ready. Short staffed. Most of the time we were coming or going to property minimal staff or no staff present. We were supposed to be at a concert at 6:30. Messed up our plans.

I had to change room , because the room furniture was being shampooed .

Well-located property that was clean and generally well maintained. During my stay during a graduation weekend, the hotel consistently appeared understaffed. Typically only 1 person at check in, even during peak periods. Same situation regarding breakfast buffet.

There were the typical hotel cleanliness issues. Behind the pull out TV was very dusty. The toilet paper holder was loose. One of the bathroom tiles had a huge crack. Beds were hard. Pillows were very uncomfortable. Bedside table was stained.

There was some confusion when checking in, there seemed to be a communication issue between housekeeping and the front desk on when rooms were ready, all of which forgivable. My big problem came on the morning when getting into the shower the wall had 4 very long hairs on it. For the record I shave my head.

the room was nice the bed was nice bathroom all the way around my switched hotels with a day left from my other hotel to come stay at this one so I really enjoyed it it's worth the money

The property was very clean, comfortable and close to many restaurants and the freeway. I was working at the Air Force Academy and the gate was one exit away, which made it convenient. The staff was nice, the fridge and microwave in the room were an added bonus. It would’ve been nice to have fresh fruit at breakfast or even some yogurts, also my reservation was not able to be found at first, so it took quite a long time to check in although the person at the desk was very kind and helpful.

Very clean, good staff, excellent breakfast

Shortly after I checked in, another guest spilled seeds in the hallway next to my room and this mess occurred on a Friday and was still there when I checked out on Monday. Not once did I hear or see a vacuum during my stay. In addition, on Saturday night there was a spill from down the hall to the staff only room and still was there Monday morning! Looking closer at my room, there was crumbs in the pull out bed, oil residue on the door, dirty white marks and food stains on the sofa, food stuck between the white drawers and desk, the shower had green residue at the bottom of the shower door, hair on the walls of the shower, and there was black stuff all over the drain. Not to the mention, the incredibly rude who clearly saw that I had a baby with me and not once did they offer me a high chair (so I didn’t think they had one. A hotel guest saw one hidden under the bar counter and brought it over to me, which I used the last day of my stay. The high chair was absolutely filthy with food stuck to it. Underneath the seats to eat breakfast was filled with crumbs dirt and grime- looked like it hadn’t been swept or mopped at all. The mattress was not on the bed frame and made the frame stick out farther than the mattress. This was a tripping hazard and very dangerous and unsafe for my 11 month old who should have been able to walk around freely without me worrying of his safety and falling on that sharp frame corner. Oh! Also, they had spoiled chocolate milk at breakfast and I overheard other guests saying the same thing as well. Last but not least, I noticed a charge of $150 on my card and called up about it and was told there was a $50 incidental each day and have yet to see it credited back on my card. I saw another charge of $120 and then it was put back on my card which I still don’t know what that is for and why?!

New property, great area, nice outside patio with fire pit. Parking fee of $10 per day was bait and switch. One does not expect pay parking at this sort of hotel. Buffett breakfast was well below par to similar hotels.

The location, room was so clean and comfortable and great facilities! I didn’t like being charged twice against my debit card! The amount was more than the actual amount I should have been charged. The pending amount is still counting against my balance, UGH! Why did he charge me twice? Then in the morning I talked to the front desk and she didn’t care or help at all! She said it will correct itself, UGH!

The shower could have been cleaner. The staff could have been more informative when checking in. The staff could have been nicer. Came across 3 different staff that could have been more nice.

The rooms were as large as the photos showed. Everything was clean. I was pleasantly surprised to find a walk in closet as well. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Everything was just top notch. Can’t revommens enough No hot tub but I knew that before I booked the room

The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean - with the exception of mirrors and glass that were very streaky and splattered. Unfortunately, several items seemed broken: the chair was dropping unexpectedly low, the table lamp cover was hanging on the light bulb and the thermostat fell off the wall upon entry (my husband re-mounted it). I think someone should test the rooms periodically to avoid this sort of issues. Overall, it was a good one night stay but might have been a hassle if we stayed longer.

Customer service while checking in and working out the details of staying an extra night was excellent. The breakfast was honestly the best I've had at a hotel!

The room was a nice size, clean and comfortable for our stay. We had a 2 queen and trundle that fit our family well. The heat and cool air worked properly and the staff was helpful when spoken to.

Very disappointed w the breakfast to begin with.. very little to choose from and Sunday morning there was a line to get anything from the small selection they have. Also when asked if they were going to clean our room that day they told us it was every other day that they did cleanings. Two big things I look for in a hotel and both weren’t good. I can say it’s clean and quiet and around a good area. Front desk lady was also very nice.

Good location, newer hotel. Doors are thin and so the hallway noice comes into the room and vice versa quite loudly. Shower water takes a while to warm up. Housekeeping doesn’t give enough towels for number of people

Great location in the heart of Colorado Springs.

This hotel is new and very updated. Love the layout of the room and the free breakfast is a nice touch. We didn't spend much time there, but it was very clean and quiet.

The hotel was fine. We were disppointed to be charged extra to check in early and also for parking. I just felt like we were nickel and dimed.

The hotel is in a great location but we stayed 3 days and they never changed the bedding or trash. They can improve there.

Give Cody a raise! He was the only one working the front desk and the bar. He was very professional, friendly and efficient. We were there after my daughter had surgery. The only complaints I have were the TVs did not work very well and need to be updated. The hot water was also shut off for several hours during the day for maintenance.

The manager at the front desk was awesome. He gave us tattoo recommendations and comped our parking because we had a very long travel day and the act of kindness went a long way.

Everything was great but I was surprised at the $10 charge for parking. Seemed unusual for a suburban hotel with a big parking lot.

Our first choice when staying in the Springs.

Great comfortable hotel right across from Air Force Academy. Very convenient and lots of dining options nearby. It was a home run for us attending a wedding in the area.

I was there to visit our son. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful as we were new to the area. The rooms were clean and the bed was so comfy. Location is ideal as it is in a newer area so there were so many eating establishments close by for us to walk to. And lets not forget the beautiful view of the mountains!!!!

the view was nice. HAD TO MOVE ROOMS 2 different times because of a room not being clean upon check in. Then toilet broke and Microwave in next room. 👎👎

Well decorated

Our second time in a SpringHill Suite hotel and very much on a par with the general high standard we experienced first time. The only slight issue was that the staff weren’t quite up to speed with keeping the breakfast items well stocked. That said the breakfast was of a decent standard.

I liked the staff the bed and room was so nice and hella comfortable. And the breakfast was excellent. I’ll definitely get that same hotel when I come back

Thought I canceled this

The room was spacious and had all the amenities required. The room was modern and well presented. The inclusive breakfast is served in the foyer area which was a little strange however it included all the obvious choices. The staff were super friendly.

The room was clean and presentable but it left some functionality in question. Crowded in some areas where you want to spend time and just kind of cluttered surroundings. Not all the lights work properly.

Only minus - the hotel charges for parking! I have never seen charges for parking! except in NYC. The hotel has a large parking lot just for the hotel - there should NOT be a charge! Looking forward to our next stay!

I was coming to see my brother, that has brain cancer and he had taken a turn and I needed to come out a day early. The staff at the hotel was beyond amazing, accommodating and absolutely majestic. I’m a Director of Retail Operations and I am a stickler for Customer Service & the staff here was top notch! Preparing to book another trip out and already planning on staying here again this trip.

Also, hidden daily parking fee, when the whole parking lot is fenced with the hotel, plenty of space.

Other than that minir problem, we had a great time at the property. Cody is great!

Nice, clean property. The desk-agent at check-in (gentleman) was great. Room is great and clean. The first night, however, I was awaken by howling winds - more noisy because I was on the top floor. No one's fault, really. But, the next morning when I asked to relocate to a lower floor, the agent (female) denied my request, 'Hotel was full.' Also, I've stayed at SpringHill properties before. The breakfast spread is typically amazing. This one is much more limited - but still good. Front parking lot is really small - twenty cars?

Was an enjoyable evening. First at the concert in the area then at the hotel. Comfortable beds, good sleep. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Room was dirty, pet hair on furniture. Breakfast was gone by 8 am, coffee was empty, Elevator was dirty and had bad smell.

When I took a shower about 5 min in the water went completely cold. I told the gentleman at the desk and he apologized. They had to reset the hot water heater a few times to get it to work correctly. Otherwise a very comfortable place to stay. Did not get that chance to have A drink at the bar but it looked nice.

Excellent property is a very good location

Our room was clean, spacious and stylish. Breakfast was not so swell. We stayed 4 days and the protein stayed the same (turkey sausage patties) waffles came out only on the weekend. Front end staff did their job but I didn’t feel like going above and beyond in friendliness or service was likely. They charged a surprise $10 per night parking fee (thankfully it was reversed after my message to management). I know it’s little, but when the flowers die in the lobby they could quickly be changed out and it gives a much better impression. (See photo)

Its in a great part of town and very close to all the shopping areas and entertainment centers. The room was great and very comfortable and spacious.

Beautiful property with views of the mountains from every room. The rooms were clean with modern furniture such as the sofa/ trundle bed, mini-fridge and microwave were housed in a cabinet as you walk in. The bathroom was rectangular with the toilet on one end, mirror and sink in the middle, and tiled shower at the other end. Large closet with a closet organizer to hang clothes or shelves for folded clothes. Plenty of space for 4 adults without feeling cramped.

They need to post that they charge for parking (not a secure lot) daily. This came as QUITE a shock.

Everyone was very nice. Breakfast setup was wonderful! The only thing was cleanliness. Some surfaces in the rooms had a thick layer of dust as well as around the edges of the room. Plus hair on the shower stall.

This is the second time we have been promised 2 beds and a pullout couch through reservations on Expedia. Each time, they have only given us a 1 bed 1 couch w/ pullout twin. When Expedia called the hotel, I could hear Rodney, the manager, tell them this was my fault and that rooms are not guaranteed through a 3rd party. I travel frequently with my family and have never had this issue. Lesson learned for me. In addition, the wifi is terrible. If you are reserving through a 3rd party…BEWARE!

Very disappointed in having to pay $10 to park in a parking lot that had probably 50-100 EMPTY parking spaces! That is ridiculous! Now if you were in an urban, overcrowded area, I would be able to understand it.
