Overall stay was pretty good. Clean, quiet rooms. Very aligned with what we expected. Staff were friendly. Open, spacious lobby good for getting work done. Breakfast was pretty good, too, although a little expensive, especially for a cup of coffee. Cons included that one of the elevators was broken during our entire stay. And the rooms are somewhat dated.

We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel. We were visiting family that lived 3 minutes away from the hotel. It was very convenient for us. It must be difficult to regulate the sound of the air conditioning unit but it was a bit noisy during the night when it cycled on and off.

It’s an older hotel but well maintained. The hot tub wasn’t working when we stayed and the gym was so small that it was uncomfortable with more than two people. Also, the restaurant menu left a lot to be desired but the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The Bar needs better wines, even though advertised there is only breakfast and dinner, no lunch at the restaurant. Beds are good, location hard to find, but quiet. Floors were not very clean.

Everything was clean which was important because I was post surgical waiting for my follow up visit. Shower could’ve been hotter at times. Fridge was audible when running but kept things cold. Thankfully the bar had plasticware as our takeout preppers had forgotten to provide them. Overall will stay again.

I needed another night’s stay at this hotel. It was deceiving from the outside. The lobby was grande and impressive and calming. Beautiful and tasteful. Room was clean and comfortable. Beds were too . Breakfast was not included , but however I believe they do have it available. And the dining area was very nice and inviting also. Warm treats upon check in. Which was great on a cold, gloomy, rainy night. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Convenient location too.

Upon entering you were given a water and warm chocolate chip cookie which was nice touch. Lounge area was enormous and styled beautifully. Room was nice and had comfortable beds. Only take away was it that it always was a long wait for the elevator so most of the time we had to use the stairs.

First time staying, I'd recommend it for my second stay here in Maryland : )

Fantastic staff (housekeeping, front desk, and conference/banquet workers). Exceptionally kind and helpful in every way. Wish there were a few more coffee/tea options in the room or quick, easy coffee options in the lobby without needing to go through breakfast purchase options,etc. A business center for printing would’ve been amazing but front desk staff was able to help and went out of their way for me. I’m not usually a “chain hotel” fan, but the bed, pillows, quiet atmosphere, and staff has made me a DoubleTree fan if other locations are this clean and well-staffed.

Girl who checked us in was professional informative snd very personable. The maid came and made our beds and gave clean linens without having to ask. Both of them gave to score of excellent stay.

Is loved that it still has a lot of the old hotel look. Yet the renovation is still beautiful. I was greeted and handed a warm delicious cookie and water. Very sweet and warm atmosphere. The room still needs a little updating. The drawers were broke. And some things still outdated. But it looks like slowly they are getting there.

The property was very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that would have made it better is if they at least provided a continental breakfast. For the price of the room, lack of a continental breakfast was disappointing.

Breakfast was definitely not worth paying 20$. Tried the brisket sliders which for an appetizer while having a drink. Brisket was dry and not worth the money drink was very stiff. However the staff definitely makes up for it. They were friendly and attentive.

One member of front desk staff gave wrong information that made an otherwise easily remedied issue much worse. Experience with one member of front desk staff who gave wrong information and neglected to communicate a simple request to her colleagues.

The breakfast was very nice. The indoor pool was closed. There was no bathtub. One elevator was broken making the other incredibly slow. The place reeked of marijuana. By far my least favorite Double Tree visit.

Used a taxi from BWI- hotel property about 25 minutes from BWI airport. Easy drive a local friend took me back to airport. The rooms are very clean, no strange odor. Comfy bed, shower gel ,lotions and shampoo in shower. King bed room- refrigerator in room. Nice large TV to get am news and weather. The breakfast buffet was nice plenty of items eggs ,sausage links, panckes, French Toast, fruits yogurts , coffee and juice. Peaceful stay staff very friendly and helpful if you' have questions. Book them ! Oh and hotel near a Walgreens

The staff was wonderful. The hotel in general was beautiful. The food was great, my only two gripes were the pool and hot tub area were shutdown for maintenance during our stay which was one of the key reasons I chose this hotel, and I purchased a suite because I'm an early to bed, early to rise sort of person and my wife likes to sleep late so as to not disturb her while she sleeps we get suites, however this room the door didn't want to stay closed, the doors had glass windows in it so it didn't do any good as far as separating you from disturbing anyone, and lastly it had light switches on the wall that went to nothing I could find. You'd walk into a dark room looking for a lit switch to give you some sort of light to find the other lights in the room. As mentioned, the staff was great, I voiced my complaints and they were happy to come up and fix them, however we were getting ready to check out anyways the next day and I thought it was pointless for me but suggested they might want to fix them prior to the next customers coming through.

I had a really nice stay here. The property was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was easy from check-in to check-out. I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers and would stay here again.

Pool was broke , I called before to make sure because that's the only reason I chose them . So they give me over priced breakfast vouchers for their buffet . It was disgusting , had better food at 2am at Dennys.

The property was clean, well staffed and offered an ample, tasty breakfast daily. I was very disappointed that the indoor pool/jacuzzi was out of order during my entire stay. Since the weather was cold (February), this advertised feature was extremely attractive and the reason I booked this hotel. I brought this to the manager’s attention, at check-out, and he did give us Hilton Honors points for the inconvenience. However, I feel the property should have notified me that the pool/jacuzzi was out of order when my reservation was confirmed.

The heater in the room was so loud and there were huge gaps in the door, so all the heat flowed out, and the heater kept kicking on. I would stay here again.

I My mother and I were in town for some dental surgery. We checked in on December 28 and scheduled to check out on December 31, 2025. While sitting in my bed on December 30th I pulled down my bed covers to the sight of what appeared to be bed bugs. We immediately called the front desk and told them our situation. They were very concerned and responded quickly. Scott, an engineer came and saw what I saw. We decided to strip the beds. He asked if we wanted to change rooms. Because we had a lot of luggage and were already spooked we decided to check out. I asked the woman at the front desk about obtaining a refund for the remaining day of our stay. Very nicely she said I need to contact and request the refund as I booked the room through you and pre-paid. I’m contacting you now to request the refund of one night. The room (one bedroom) was very spacious. The hotel staff was exceptionally helpful and supportive, particularly the bar service and the carryout food service.

Room and bathroom were clean. Bed was clean. If you like a hard bed, this is the place for you. Personally I prefer a softer mattress.

Amenities-My room had no microwave. That’s very antiquated to not have that in a hotel room in 2026 Checkout time was 12pm which is great! The cleaning crew kept knocking on my room door the day of checkout prior to 12pm. I’m not sure where the disconnect was but I was very annoyed by that. The TV service had about 10 channels. Not impressed.

All the staff we interacted with were wonderful, including at the front desk and at breakfast! The room was okay (generally could use a refresher) but the fans were rattling loudly enough to make it difficult to fall asleep. We were disappointed the hot tub was out of service, and the pool area was so cold (as if windows were left open) we just couldn’t get into the pool itself.

My stay was ok my heat wasn’t working when I checked in. I had to call the front desk and they sent someone to my room to fix it.My room was clean and spacious. I only stayed one night, I would stay there again.

Front Desk Staff

HVAC system is in need of repairs to include extremely noisy/loud. No room service. Food service offered for carry out/in room dining, but no microwave in the rooms or on the floor to keep warm or heat. Perfect example is buffet breakfast. Several of the dishes are luke warm are best in temperature right of the serving line. The food is cold after a short elevator ride to the rooms. You can do better!

The staff were all friendly. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was not free as the question states in the survey. And coffee was $3.00 if you just wanted coffee and didn't buy breakfast. For what a room costs I would think they would have complimentary coffee. But we will probably stay here again as it is very convenient to my daughter's house and overall we like it.

The room was clean but needed updated. Bothe the floor lamp and desk lamp had broken shades, the door that would normally have been covering the tvs stand and hiding the refrigerator and microwave, did not exist, rusty spots on the interior door frame in the bathroom, outdated furniture, etc. For the lobby and bar area being as updated as it was, the room was most definitely an after thought. Beds were OK and pillows were thin and flimsy and we could've used about 4 more just to be comfortable. Staff was friendly. We ended up using one elevator consistently because the other seemed like it didn't want to open every time we got to the bottom floor. Also - we did not go to the bar or eat at the restaurant because the menu was very limited so we ended up going to some of our favorite spots in Columbia instead. Over all - not a bad stay but for the cost and again, the lobby being upgraded, the rooms could've been much better.

There were kids there running up and down hallway - hitting the door. Someone had a dog that barked a lot. Staff needs to ensure parents and dog owners are responsible. When checking out was not asked my stay was - I mentioned not a good stay - response - sorry

The hotel is very well done. The hotel and elevators smells nice. The staff that we dealt with treated us very nice, was very welcoming and asked if we wanted their signature cookie. You can see the hotel lobby and bar area from the elevators because it's glass windows, not enclosed like a regular elevator. You can sit at the bar and watch tv while you're getting you cocktail on and possibly having something to eat. They were decorating the Xmas tree while we were there. They have plenty of parking. I think if you come out of the hotel and go down the road you have different stores and places to eat. The rooms are so comfortable even the studio rooms are spacious enough. They have bath mats to put down so you don't slip in the shower because there's no grip on the bottom of the shower floor. They have a pool that's a bit bigger than other hotels (usually it's like a big bathtub), the water was quite warm my husband said which is not good for any kind of exercise. When I went to see the pool the room was chilly like a draft which you don't' want to feel if you're warm in the water. The workout room is kind of small my husband said, at least it's there if you want to do any kind of workout, treadmill, weights etc... The one thing that was a bit surprising is that there are no USB ports to charge your phone. I happened, for once, to leave my plug in charger home,we had the usb charger but there were no ports. They had plenty of outlets to plug in, which was amazing. I loved it.

We stay here for all of our trips to visit family and are never disappointed with the service, cleanliness or the quality. The prices are also reasonable. We’ll keep coming back to the Double Tree in Columbia

I was very upset because we were told that we were getting free breakfast and when we went down there, we ate the breakfast and then they charged us and I went to the desk and told them that I was told it was free and basically told me it wasn’t free and we had to pay for it. Very disappointed.

Staff was friendly. Kind of strict at breakfast to get our tickets for free breakfast which was $18 otherwise. But it was the same exact breakfast other places have for free. They spent all their money on the re-doing the front lobby. Rooms were old and needed to be re-done

Unfortunately the only thing I had to say was I booked for a king room and when I arrived for check in I was told that they overbooked king beds and asked if I would be okay with having two queens instead. We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very kind and welcomed us right away. The room was clean the sheets and towels were also clean and smelled so great. I had to run back into grab my stuff from the fridge and they were so accommodating. Also can we talk about how beautiful the common area is? I love how the windows face the inside. It almost feels like its own little world.

Staff were great, but property is old, rooms are very outdated and cleanliness is an issue. If I could have found another hotel to move to I would have. My first room awful, but thankfully they moved me to another room. I would not stay here again. I don't understand the high positive reviews. The hotel I normally stay was full so I booked here based on the reviews and the higher cost as I thought I would get. "Hilton" experience.

Very close to Merriweather Post so we stayed overnight for a concert. The hotel was clean and staff very friendly. They offer a shuttle to and from the concert which was a nice perk. One elevator was not working so it was a little slow getting up and down to the 4th floor at times but that would be my only complaint.

Out of all the hotels and I ever stayed at with my family- this one looked very luxurious. Each staff was friendly and those complimentary cookies are PHENOMENAL. Would definitely come back here, should we ever visit Maryland in the future.

The rooms need to be heavily dusted and vacuumed. Only one of the two elevators was working all five days/four nights we were there. We had a problem with noisy neighbors at 1:00 a.m. but the front desk took care of it in a timely manner. The beds were comfortable.

Everything was pretty great except that one of two elevators was out of order all weekend. The one remaining elevator was slow and jumpy. It wasn't a huge deal but created some delays occasionally.

We had a great stay. Every staff member we encountered was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Our room was tidy and comfortable. We used the shuttle to Merriweather Post Pavilion, and it could not have been more convenient. This will 100% be our go-to hotel next time we are in the area for a concert!

I was told there is no secured Wi-Fi only public Wi-Fi, hence I had to cut my stay from 2 days to 1 day. If I knew that I would not have booked.

Loved my stay. The staff was great and the shuttle to the Merriweather Post Pavilion was a great surprise.

Great place and good location in Columbia. We were there for a week and the service was great. Did have one issue at the hotel, one day after coming back to the hotel, our room door was ajar. Nothing missing but was concerning. Management addressed it right away.

My stay was great. My man and I were in the area for a date. We didn’t want to drive back going afterward so we got a room for the night. It was peaceful and clean. The only thing we didn’t like was that the furniture was falling apart. The door where the Fridge was had been hanging down.

We stay here whenever we fly in from Georgia. It’s worth the daily drive to Baltimore. The hot breakfast is great! The rooms are very clean. Great hotel!

This property was a nice affordable option for going to a show at Merriweather. The shuttle to and from the concert was such a nice surprise! I would stay here again.

Hotel Doubletree Columbia was great for access to merriweather pavilion. My wife and I stayed and enjoyed the use of the breakfast vouchers which we purchased in advance. The staff was friendly abd the room was clean, the lobby was grand abd spacious, abd the bar was hopping.

The property was clean and looked very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room air conditioning system did not work and the vent made a loud noise every 30 minutes. We reported the problems, but was told there was nothing they could do.

Everything was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful, our rooms were HUGE and very comfortable, and even though we didn't make it onto the tram to Merriweather, it was really cool to learn that you offered one.

Absolutely loved my stay at Double Tree by Hilton. We stayed one night as we were visiting family. Next time we come to Maryland we are definitely staying there again.

I like the staff and cleanliness of the rooms. I didnt like the hotel guests near us who were noisy throughout the early hours.

Stay was excellent overall. Tub safety could be improved by an additional grab bar (the one installed is in a place that makes no sense and is not helpful) and non-slip texture on tub bottom, although I did find a rubber mat that I used in the tub. Continental breakfast is a bargain at $12.95, with fruit, juices, coffee, cold cereal, hot oatmeal, yogurt with and without fruit, bagels, muffins and coisants (not sure of spelling). Beautiful indoor pool and hot tub.

I had a great experience with the room service, and the front desk staff were consistently welcoming and ready to assist with any needs. They provided convenient transportation for hotel guests attending the 3-day concert that weekend, and the service was excellent. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning, and there were dinner buffets available as well. Right across from the dining area, there was a sports cocktail bar that featured a delicious menu. I loved hanging out there every night after returning from the concert to grab a late dinner. The hotel also had a gym opened 24 hours, which was beneficial for me. Additionally, there was a pool, a jacuzzi, and a large lounge area. In the lobby, there was a guest convenience store that offered drinks, snacks, over the counter medicine, and more. One highlight of my stay was the warm chocolate chip cookies from DoubleTree. They were absolutely delicious!

Very happy with our stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton. We were in town for the M3 Music Festival and it’s very close to the Merriweather Post Pavillion. They offer a shuttle to the venue, which is convenient, but we didn't use it. The hotel is nice, clean, and the staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good.

The overall atmosphere

Great hotel, clean, good restaurant and bar.

This was a staycation and I needed a few days to rejuvenate from the daily routine. Normally Double Tree is great for my comfort, however I would suggest that this particular location order new towels they are hard and rough on the skin, the pillows and mattress was nothing like I was use too. The pillows were on their last days not fluffy or soft that includes the mattress. The shower I ended up falling in the shower, I suggest upgrading the shower with the rock from slipping. I think the products they used was slippery when the shower gel residue intertwine and luckily the hard towel I was able to use to get me up. I would say the front desk were very friendly.

What a show. The staff did nothing about teenagers running around slamming doors at 11 pm

No way to stream through the hotel tvs, in this day and age my kid found it to be spmething out of the jurassic era. Everything else was nice enough for the price but that needs a serious update.

The hotel was very nice and clean. It was in a nice secluded spot. Easy acess to everywhere we needed to go. Lovely week celebrating my husbands birthday.😊

Has very old air conditioning that makes a lot of noise.

The location was central to all the places we had to visit. My only complaint is that there should be a coffee bar and continental breakfast for the price. It would be an incentive to purchase food from the restaurant. My group was also asked to leave the dining area with our food even though the restaurant was closed.

Everything was not bad just would of been nice if there was a microwave in the room
