The 1st room had some kind of flying insects on the air conditioned and in the window area, I called the front desk receptionist and she immediately moved me to a different room without any hesitation. Great customer service. I didn't like the fact that they don't serve hot breakfast. Only grab and go options. They shouldn't advertise they serve breakfast. Breakfast bars and oatmeal packs is not breakfast. They didn't have milk or any type of juice options. They also didn't have bowls for the guest to eat the oatmeal or utensils for eating the oatmeal. False advertisement on breakfast being served. Will not book with them again.

Room was clean and parking was easy. But breakfast could be improved.

Good location. Nice Television. Counters were dirty. Shower didn't work. Air conditioning was anemic and I could barely sleep it was so hot. Breakfast was prepackaged Nutrigrain bars. Beds were hard as the floor. Everything seemed old. There was a weird chemical smell in the room.

All of the staff were curt, and dismissive , as if we were interrupting their relaxation time

The people on the hall in another room fought verbally and I think physically from 11pm to about 2am until they were kicked out. I didn't realize the hotel was basically housing people as a domicile-it was a bad environment. I was glad I didn't have my family with me. It sounded dysfunctional, violent, and I didn't sleep much to say the least. Maybe the hotel needs a bouncer or better security. I called the front desk twice-they really aren't equipped to deal with people who are out of control.

There was no hot water in the initial room and the second room I was moved to had very low water pressure.

Plexiglass at front desk hard to hear clerk, clerk often not at desk. Was sort of friendly and sort of helpful but wasn’t going to go out of his way to do anything. Dog poop all over property (we are dog owners and travel with poop bags), got berries from tree AND poop on shoes w/o realizing it at first. No silverware or dishes in the room.

The room was aweful. I had to get up to go get cleaning stuff to clean the dog smell. Than I had to take the towels downstairs to get more. Than I left out all day, once i came in. Knock on the door. It was front desk lady and 3 men. Stating there was leaking coming from my room #228. The men came in to access the situation. Stating it needs to plunged. Next knock it was handednto my grandson. I had to plunge the toilet. This experience was horrible. I will never stay in this chain ever again. The breakfast was nothing compared to places i have stayed. Never again. I will never suggest this chain Extend Stay America in Columbia, Md.

We found this a very confusing hotel. First the room they assigned us the refrigerator didn’t work. The front desk helped immediately. The kitchen is not stocked at all. If you want glasses, plates or any kitchen ware you have to contact the front desk and they will give you just what you ask for. The overall cleanliness is good even though they’re remodeling. I didn’t see any house keeping people and they only service your room, according to the hotel information, every 2 weeks. But there is an envelope for a housekeeping tip. It was impossible to get any fresh towels and we were there 5 days. Breakfast is coffee and hot water. I saw some instant oatmeal not much else. It’s in a good location right off hwy 100. The beds are comfortable.

Renovating. Noise started at 8:00 am. Very loud! On our floor. Very noisy at night past 11:30 pm. Staff didn’t ask how our stay was. Staff didn’t communicate anything, just enough to check in. Check out, zero communication. We have stayed here several times before. I can appreciate the upgrades but not at the cost of the customers’s experience and sleep.

It was noisy, with fights in the hallway waking us up. The breakfast wasn’t great to say the least. Would rather pay less and have nothing offered. At $200/night we expected a betterexperience.

Horrible doesnt even begin to describe this stay.. 1st we get there put us in the top floor. Elevator sounds like it is going to break. Nothing eorks, room key, tv, phone. Went down and she says heres a number call it and they will fix it. Not my job. They changed our room. Again key doesnt work, needed more bath towels as we were staying 4 nights, they say bring the old ines, and we will give you new ones. No cleaning service at all. Buyer beware, dont stay here

Construction was the worst!!! Right above my room sounded like someone was being tortured. Scraping sounds and banging all while trying to sleep on a Saturday.

The heat on the ac turned on and the fire alarm went off, the staff had me wait an hour to get my room card fixed, every time i came back my key card would drop working, random construction at early morning times, can’t reserve rooms online. Anything else would be a simple hotel standard but good lort.

The room was filthy! When we turned on the AC we couldn’t figure out what the stench was until we checked the AC unit, appeared to be mice droppings. We couldn’t bear staying in that filth

I got back to my hotel room and discovered that the toilet would not flush. It was already late so I didn’t call anyone. I will let them know in the morning. The bed only had a sheet and the top cover and no blanket. I had called down earlier to get a spoon and a plate and a knife and instead of the employee bringing it up they told me to come down and get it, which I didn’t not great customer service.

First thing the room number plates were removed and randomly placed on the wrong door, so I could not find my room. After returning to the front desk to explain i was escorted back upstairs to the room. When the clek opened the door numerous roached scattered around, then she took me to a second room which was even my infested with roaches. I was given another that was not truly up to par but due to the late hour i had no choice but to stay. I WAS HIGHY DISAPPOINTED AND DIGUSTED.

I didn't like that they did not serve a full breakfast and there were no toiletries in the bathroom.

There needs to be some serious renovations. The windows were broken and didn’t open. The bathroom was clean but had hair in the shower/tub area, in the tub and on the walls. Only 2 accessible receptacles.

Property may have been temporary housing for low-income.

Room was full of mold that cause my wife to have a violent attack. We checked out immediately and had to find another hotel. We would like a total refund.

This hotel has ROACHES! While in the process of leaving to find another hotel due to roaches, another couple checked in and immediately came back down to check out due to roaches in their room as well.

Could have been cleaner. The sink counter was stained and looked dirty. Lots of debris in the hallways and the trashcans outside were overflowing. The staff was friendly.

I checked out fifteen minutes after checking in. That says it all.

Refrigerator was stained and dirty. Microwave was dirty. Door entrance to room stuck and required force to close. Humidity in room was unbearable. I have stayed at this location several times before. This was my worst experience. I will find another hotel the next time my stay is necessary.

All in all this ESA location is ok... It's relatively clean, and located close to Columbia and Ellicott City. Everything in the room worked as expected. Well, one of the kitchen cabinet doors had a broken hinge... It wasn't spotlessly clean, but it wasn't dirty either. Surprisingly for this day in age the hotel WiFi service is NOT free! Really; someonw still tries to charge for WiFi!? And that WiFi isn't cheap at something like $5/day... Thankfully, we had no need for it as the cell phone had decent 5g coverage at the hotel location. The staff were more or less transparent and ignored us as much as we ignored them... No daily room cleaning was provided. Check-in and out was painless. As for the "breakfast", that's coffee and tea, and some nutrigrain bars or muffins, in other words not much... But it was about the least expensive hotel for miles around. Seemed relatively safe.

Walking in I had a bad feeling. Once we got tone second floor smell so bad, smelled like cooking in all the hall ways. Room was dirty there was dust all over te curtains, hard in te “clean” towels and tr fridge had brown stuff on te outside we had to clean.

Additionally, I noticed what appeared to be a bloodstain in the hallway, which was deeply unsettling and raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the property. I expected a much higher standard for the rate paid and hope management addresses these issues to improve future guest experiences.

The room was clean however staying for 4 nights and no one taking the trash or bringing clean towels was disappointing. I shouldn’t have to bring my dirty towels to the desk to exchange them for clean ones or take my own trash out!

The sink in the kitchen was pretty disgusting. The bed caved in the center. The grab and go breakfast is a joke. This place needs major renovations.

The front desk person checking me in was pleasant. My room however was not. The first floor room smelled terrible causing my asthma to kick in and cough quite a bit. The smell was like an odd blend of smoke and musty odors. The climate unit pulsated, but at least it kept the temperature reasonable although a bit humid. The bathtub/shower had been painted a speckle paint which seemed like a choice to hide it being dirty. I elected to not use it! The kitchen area and fridge were all clean. Around midnight the room above mine had loud walking and creaking floors keeping me awake from 1-3AM which left me with maybe 3 hours of sleep before being up at 4AM to get back to the airport. This was NOT restful stay by any means. I may have saved $20 on the room from other local hotels but the savings was not worth it.

Was an ok place. Although they say breakfast is provided I works not exactly call or that. So be prepared to eat outside.

We got the sleep we needed, but we never felt comfortable. The room and property felt grimy -- and the toilet didn't work properly (tank didn't refill on its own).

It just wasnt what we expected. The room was pretty small the bed was really really low and being a 6'2 man it felt like j qas in a small house

Staff very friendly and helpful. Reserved an accessible room Bathroom was well equipped but the bed was no more than 18 inches off the floor and was very uncomfortable. There had been a snow storm earlier in the week, parking lot was not plowed , just a driving lane handicap spaces were icy and sidewalk wasn’t cleared for days.

My only complaint would be that the parking areas weren’t plowed after the snowstorm, not even by the next day.

This hotel was dated. Our bed sat on a 6 inch bedframe making the total height of the bed about 18 inches. The shower was disgusting. The staff was pleasant. Breakfast was a joke. Your choice was a granola bar, packaged muffin or a cup of dry oats for you to add hot water to to all go along with coffee. No juice, water or milk. NEVER AGAIN!!

Breakfast options can be better apart from this rest all good.

I like that everything works in every room I have stayed in. At a different hotel, the shower was broken. I like that it has a mini kitchenette inside the room. I am a regular at this hotel 👍

The hotel is older and needs updates. There was a musty odor as soon as you walk in the room. The carpet fwlt dirty. The kitchen cabinets were peeling and the walls needed very visible touch ups. The towels were laundered but were not clean looking. The check in person was nice but didnt look professional or presentable. Shirt was dirty and he was eating as he was checking us in. I wouldnt stay here again but would try thr hampton that was right next to it if i was to visit the area again.

When I first arrived, there was no one at the front desk instead there was a sign saying that they would return shortly. I asked for a non smoking room however the hallway reeked of cigarettes. As I walked into the room, everything was fine until the next morning I saw bugs on the floor. As for the staff, my room wasn’t straighten up by housekeeping. To end my experience, I saw a roach on the floor after I saw a roach, I knew it was time to end my stay. I don’t recommend this hotel due to the cleanliness and short staff of this place.

Breakfast different

Upon arrival there was no one at front desk, a guest that was also staying there had to let me through the second door even after I called ahead of time and said I’d be late. They assured me an employee would be there They do not take cash. There is no vending machine for neither snacks or beverages in the hotel. Very weak water pressure in the shower and Stiff beds. Also a $25 pet fee that’s not disclosed until after reservation. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The facility appears to have not been vacuumed for a long time. Unfriendly staff, no room service provided, inside smells like marijuana, guests walking around the facility smoking marijuana. Toilet flush would not stop running, if it did stop running, than the tank would will not fill again.. a guest sitting in the lobby asked me for $2…trash bags filled with trash outside the guest rooms.. the list just goes on!!! Horrible experience. Yet this facility is in Howard County. The 3rd riches city in the nation.

Arrived at 3:30 no rooms cleaned counter guy was good said he’d call when he had one available he did call me but being out of town we went to eat after long trip. I booked a room far in advance so we could check in shower and change before dinner. Also breakfast isn’t a breakfast it’s muffins in bags and cereal bars. Booked it to because of trav distance from destination and breakfast?
