This is not a B&B. I thought it was. Shame on me for not noticing no breakfast or snacks provided. Just coffee & Tea. When we arrived at 4 pm, the Inn was locked tight. Nobody answered the doorbell. No phone number was posted. I had to look it up and call them. No one answered the phone, "we are busy, ;eave a message". Finally, gave up and went to the friends we were visiting in our smelly travel clothes. Then, I received a text apologizing for no one to let us in. You must have a code to get in and another code to enter your assigned room. This is no way to treat a guest. Never again.

One night stay, reasonable price compared to other hotels in the area, but overall the industry has lost its mind. I am noticing a 50% increase in hotel costs since COVID so I do not travel as much and I do everything I can to avoid hotels Nothing really. The building and hotel are unique and quant. Maintenance could be better, but most people will not see the issues that I as a long time homeowner who does my own maintenance sees, but the issues will cause larger problems down the road.

Nice enough but with the cleaning fee cost was no less than a hotel in Columbia, zero service available, perhaps my error but expected more of a localized B&B type of experience and was disappointed. For business or personal use would rate as a clean but 8… not 9.8 On departure I spoke to 4-5 other guests and they were similarly surprised - certainly NOT exceptional

My two biggest disappointments with this property were that there was no breakfast and no staff. It could be a great bed & breakfast, and maybe that is the ultimate goal, but it seems like they got it barely finished enough to rent out some rooms to finance the rest of the project. That's okay, but it is reflected in my rating. It is not a five-star yet. The furnishings appear to be a mish-mash collection with no cohesive decor theme. I'm not picky, but I booked an inn with the expectation that it would be a step above a hotel. There was no one to greet us. The doors were locked, and we had not received an email giving us check-in instructions. When I called, I had to leave a voicemail. A lady called me back promptly and apologized for not having sent check-in instructions. I understand mistakes happen, but even when we got inside, the place didn't have a welcoming feel. She upgraded us to a large suite, which was nice, but we didn't need the extra bedroom with twin beds, there were no comfy chairs to sit in to watch TV, we had to crawl on the floor to plug in our charging cables, and the hot tub was not functioning.

I loved the keyless locks for the front and bedroom doors -- it's so much easier than keeping track of keys. The inn is in a great location: less than a mile from downtown in a walkable part of the city. There's no breakfast or food, but coffee and water is available, plus there is a little shared fridge and microwave.

Great communication regarding check-in and codes to enter the property and room. Easy entry/exit, everything was clean, comfortable bed and nicely decorated room (Vista). It was quiet and charming. Some extra curricular next door woke me up at 2am but I was able to get back to sleep thanks to the blackout curtains and comfortable bed. The end is absolutely gorgeous. My room was very clean, but there was no staff or service. I got a text when I got there with a code to get in the front door and I got another text to get into my room. There is no reception area or person you’re pretty much on your own. I thought it was a bed-and-breakfast, but we weren’t told about any breakfast and there was nothing in my room telling me about any breakfast or hours it would be served very strange. It was a little strange, but all I really needed was a nice shower and some sleep so it was perfect for this occasion, I was not able to order dinner however because the driver would’ve not been able to get inside the building

Large room, but sparsely furnished - no work desk, sofa, or comfortable chair. Bed very comfortable and inn is quiet. Bathroom was large and all new with fancy fixtures, but we had trouble finding hot water and then adjusting same. Super nice towels. Inn responds to texts promptly but we had no luck having phone answered leading up to stay. There is no attendant on site but that was not an issue at all. Common areas downstairs were nice and spacious with coffee, tea, water, microwave available. A nice break from typical chain hotels.

The 1425 Inn is like a home away from home. It's essentially a first-class B&B, located right in the heart of Columbia. Shanna and Courtney couldn't be more welcoming, friendly and helpful. As for the accommodations, the "building" (it's actually a beautiful old home that's maintained expertly) itself is beautiful. High ceilings, incredible woodwork, unique, homey bedrooms and a wonderful common area. The numerous works of art (which are for sale) give the Inn extra charm. The fact that there were delicious homemade chocolate-pecan cookies for the taking was my only complaint - I'm trying to lose wait and I couldn't keep my hands off of them!

The location was great for graduation and even though we were checking in late and checking out early everyone was very accommodating and helpful and the food was fabulous!

Fantastic stay at 1425 Inn. Wish it had been longer! Local art hung on the walls and in every room was fun for the kids and I to explore. Very gracious hostess was very attentive, friendly, and catered to our every need. Teas, soft drinks and light snacks available at all times and much appreciated with our late arrival. Room was very comfortable and with small jacuzzi tub. Highly recommend!!!

First stay at a B&B as we usually stay at a hotel. This property was very quaint, and the inn keeper couldn't be any nicer! She made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

It was more like staying at Grandma's home with a wonderful front porch and relaxing large living area. Wine, beer, snack foods and a great breakfast! We are definately staying here on our next visit to Columbia.

The only issue was I was not able to control the AC in my room in order to make it the temperature I am comfortable with, other than that it was an amazing B&B and we will most definitely return as well as recommend it to our family and friends
