    I have stayed at this place plenty of times to only now realize that it is a pet friendly establishment which with me being allergic I can smell the dog urine throughout the entire hotel, which is not pleasant and when I went into my room, it also smelled very loudly like animal urine. I don’t think that is fair for people who do not have animals is misunderstood how Xtreme animal urine is soiled in the carpets no matter how many times you vacuum the surface I wouldn’t recommend.

    I didn't care for the breakfast. I stayed in another hotel the night before and they had eggs, bacon, etc. I thought the breakfast food was substandard. I also noted someone on our floor was smoking marijuana heavily as it infiltrated the entire hallway for 2 days. I would think that the customer would have been notified and the floor/room would have been sprayed. The smell was overwhelming and not pleasant to those of us who don't smoke or do illegal substances.

    The breakfast was tasty & there were choices. The air conditioner & the heater works. The heater could've stayed on a little bit longer compared to the air conditioner. The sink could've been bigger & the bathtub was fine. Also, I saw that the painting was coming off from the bathroom ceiling. When I turn on the tv, sometimes it takes a few seconds or a minute to see the show. The pillows could've been wider not smaller. The sheets & blanket were nice & it was soft. There should be a closet to hang up the clothes. Everything else in the hotel was great.

    The staff we met were very friendly. The building was clean and we felt safe. Breakfast was as expected but it didn't appeal to us. The rooms were roomy & comfy. If we have reason to come to the area again, we consider this place again. The only small issue is that the coffee was terrible. We are regular, old school coffee drinkers so it doesn't take a whole lot to make us happy.

Only complaint Microtel should remove the alarm clocks from the rooms they go off in the middle of the night and it's nearly impossible to figure out how to shut it off, I think the person in the next ended up smashing it. Everyone has an alarm on their cellphone

    My dog was allowed to stay for a fee. The hotel was very clean and I enjoyed the room a great deal. If I had it to do over again, the only thing I’d change would be to request a room overlooking the parking lot. The street side traffic was loud until about 10:00 PM

    Rooms were clean and tidy! White crisp linens were provided on the beds and in the bathroom, with towels to spare! They don’t skimp on anything!! Stayed with family and very pleased with everything! It’s about a 15 mins drive to the Fort Benning and plenty of restaurants in close proximity. Would highly recommend for a safe, budget friendly stay. :)

I didnt like the fact that I had to find a ATM to get $100.00 cash because they said since it was Valentine's Day you have to give them $100 dollars in cash as a deposit for damages to the room. It was really inconvenient. A warning would have been nice.

    In addition, the room conditions were unacceptable. We found a roach in the room, the toilet was not functioning in the first room, the charging outlets did not work in either room, and the sink drained very slowly. Due to these issues, we did not enjoy our stay and will not return. We do not recommend this hotel.

    I definitely didn't think the room was worth the cost. The staff was friendly and the facility was decent, but it wasnt what I expected for the price. The room was clean, but you could hear everything going on around you. Our air in our room didnt work well. I try to get the fan to stay on continuously, so that it would cover up the noise, but it didnt work. It would kick on and off and was loud when it did so. It wasnt in a very nice neighborhood either. We stayed there to pick up my son for holiday leave, so we were only there one night. I definitely wouldnt have stayed two. The pictures make it look nicer than it is.

    Not so good: 1. The room had no closet, no drawers, and no bathroom counter. Just a sink with thin edges, and one peg in the wall for hangers. It was tough to settle in for the whole week with such linited space options. 2. I dont know what in the world happened with my security deposit. I originally booked the stay with a card that expired between booking and arrival. When we arrived, I swiped my NEW card for the room charge, and swiped the NEW card again for the $100 deposit. When we checked out, the attendant said the deposit refund wouldn't process and she didn't know why. I called around noon to try my wife's card. They said they couldn't take a card over the phone and i should call my bank. So i did, and my bank said they were running the old expired card's expiration date. Then I called the hotel, they said they couldn't change the expiration date over the phone. But they shouldn't have needed to, because I swiped the NEW card to pay the $100 in the first place! The hotel manager said to call my bank again. So I did, and the bank gave me long instructions for how the hotel could send a fax/email to the bank to drop the $100 hold. I called the hotel again to relay these instructions, and the attendant said only the manager could do that and he just left for his 1 week vacation. One hour, five phone calls, no resolution.

    I was surprised at the lack of space once inside our room - there was no rack to hold my suitcase, so I used the desk for it and the chair for my tote bag. Fortunately there was a padded "window seat" which provided space for my husband's suitcase, etc. There were only two large "pegs" to hold hanging clothes but it was doable. My suggestions for the bathroom would be: 1) to add an additional hand rail in the shower closer to the middle or back of the tub as it's a bit slick for senior citizens. 2) to add a small "bar" to the side of the basin for a wash cloth and a "peg" next to it (on the wall) for a towel . For the price it was excellent, and again, I was very impressed with the cleanliness and customer service personnel.

    Room 122 & 124 are connected by an interior door and you can hear the person in the next room talk on the cell phone which kept me up late at night. Suggestion is to remove the door and put a wall there. Everything else was great.

    The hotel was clean. The staff was very nice. The room was super cute! The only slight complaint I would even have is the air conditioning coming on and off making the night time feel warm randomly while sleeping. The room still remained pretty cool considering that though. Definitely would stay here again. It was a great value for the price.

    It was VERY VERY musty smelling,and the laminate in front of the door was bubbled up. I didn't like the fact, that I wanted to check out a day early, which Expedia called the Hotel to cancel for me,and Rene at the front desk said, I could NOT get a refund,so I had to stay another day.The Continental breakfast is very small. I was more upset with not being able to check out early,and not being able to get a refund than anything. So make sure you KNOW if you can get a refund or NOT before booking. The area is ok, but not really convenient to restaurants. The staff was very nice! If I had to stay there again, would do I? No..... That's just my opinion.

    Nothing is unique about this property. It’s the best bang for your buck in North Columbus. It’s safe. Just the basics. It’s not a 4-star hotel. Staff was friendly. I’ve stayed multiple times while visiting Fort Benning.

    First of all I found out when checking in that the elevator did not work. Then I needed to stay over an extra night so I booked another night. I went to the front desk to let them know and they told me that everything was fine with me staying over. The next morning the front desk started calling me to say that I had booked the wrong type room for my stay over and that I had to pack up all of my things and get out of the room by 11:00 and then I had to wait 4 hours to check into my new room. I offered to pay any difference in price to keep my room but they said since I paid thru a 3rd party that I would have to go thru the 3rd party. My third party called and offered to pay the difference in price and they were told that it was not an option. So I had to hurredly get out of the room. I left and went to another hotel. I have never had a problem like that at any other hotel. I do not feel like this hotel was very hospitable or accomodating to my needs.

    The staff was very nice, but due to the elevator issue, very distracted. Slow..took at least a half hour to get checked in. I'm 82 and it was hard climbing stairs. Due to the problems I really think they could have refunded the pet fee. That being said, the rooms were great! Clean and the bed and pillows were wonderful!

    The hotel is very nice and the staff are wonderful. I loved that they always spoke and said welcome back when you returned from somewhere. I dont like the doors. I guess people pull hard to shut them and the slamming made me jumpy. I startle easily. Other than that. Its a great place to stay. I was there for two weeks. Right near the interstate. Which was great because there is not much in the general area.

    I was displeased with check in. I was sent a link for easy, quick check-in, so that’s what I did. Uploaded my id, and put in my card information for the “small deposit”. I’ve done this at many hotels. However, when I arrived, I had to do all of those steps again. Additionally, after checking out, the next day I received an accusatory voicemail about a missing brown blanket that the housekeeper said was missing from the room we stayed in. We never used or saw a brown blanket. I called back to let them know. I just did not appreciate the voicemail, it could have been handled differently, perhaps asking had we seen, and mistakenly taken a brown blanket.

    Our first room smelled like it had a mold problem. Taylor was able to switch us and our second room was suitable once we were able to finally get the ac to work. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. The juice machine originally didn’t work. The poor desk clerk was the one who had to be a jack-of-all trades. The hotel seemed to be understaffed.

    Never disappointed: We’ve stayed here often,close to a dozen times, when visiting relatives in the area. The staff, though not always the same people, are always friendly, efficient and helpful. The rooms are always clean and, something important to us, always fully operational( tv, shower, AC etc.) A real plus is all the electrical and USB outlets. In a 2Queen room there are outlets and ports on each side of the center nightstand - accessible to each bed. We use 7 of them to charge all our devices and there are still more available. It’s not the low price that brings us coming back, it’s all the above!

    I liked was the room was a nice size. it wasn't too big or too small. The desk clerk was nice & it was easy to sign in. The bathrooms were nice & clean. The heater & air conditioner was working. What I didn't like was the remote control issue with the tv. The batteries were dying & I had to get new ones. I saw some painting was coming off in the bathroom. There's a $100 deposit I had to pay upfront. There were nor dresser drawers or a safe to keep your valuables.

    The front desk woman held up my key card, making my room number visible to the people behind me. The room was an adjoining room and I was not made aware of that at the time of check-in. The area felt very unsafe. I did not even stay there for one hour before leaving and booking another room at a different hotel.

    The coffee at the continental breakfast wasn’t great, but that was my only complaint.     The room that we were in and 103 had roaches and they told us that they didn’t have any rooms to move us to and then I have to wait until Monday to reach out to the manager to see if I can get a money back because all they were offering me was $10 off my bill and 1000 points for Microtel, which I will probably never go to another Microtel again

    First I had to be switched to 3 different rooms due to a problem with the bedding, the 3rd room since they had no more suites was a double queen, 1 of the beds was not up to par but since the other bed was fine we just went ahead and stayed, they did try to accommodate us, but since it was Valentine’s Day and rooms was few, I was moved back to a suite the next day & I was very happy about it, but just when things was going great around 2ish or 3ish the power went off and it stayed off, we checked out around 10nish and the power was still off, cold shower no breakfast no nothing, but I couldn’t get angry with the staff because it wasn’t their fault, but I feel like I should have a whole weekend do over and I love this hotel, it’s always been the best, but this weekend was horrible.
