Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its friendly staff, clean rooms, and excellent location. However, some guests found it difficult to find due to limited signage and confusing parking. The rooms are quiet but have thin walls, and some amenities like towels, mini-bar, and in-room coffee were below expectations.

The staff was awesome!
- 3/5
Great location, though it is difficult to find due to limited signage (and the fact that the entire building appears to be dedicated just to the restaurant downstairs. The hotel is accessed from an elevator in a small lobby near the restaurant entrance. There are only 8 rooms, so typically very quiet, but the walls are thin so you can definitely hear it when the other guests are up and about. The room was well appointed for the most part, but the towels were in poor condition, the mini-bar was less than half stocked, and there was no in-room coffee except for decaf.
- 5/5
This is a great little hidden gem, parking and having to go to the second floor of the building is a bit strange but this place is awesome!
- 4/5
It was a little hard to find. It is in a smaller building with a giant “Vietnamese Restaurant” across the top. I was worried from the parking lot, but once I got in, I was very impressed. Nice, clean, low key space. Just my speed.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay. Rooms were very nice and clean. Excellent location
- 5/5
I had great stay, one block from the bay, restaurants and bars all within walking distance
- 5/5
The property was really clean and modern. The TV's could be a bit better as well as the parking. But this wont deter us from coming back!
- 5/5
Excellent location and service. Cute room with many fun snacks and drinks. Look forward to my return!
- 5/5
Absolutely loved this place. Very nice rooms and location is close to many things. Will definitely be staying again.
- 5/5
Nice small boutique hotel that sits over the best restaurant in Corpus.
- 5/5
Lovely, clean room close to everywhere I needed to be. The Vietnamese restaurant on the first floor is exquisite with warm friendly service and the best scallops and calamari I have ever had.
- 3/5
It was impossible to figure out how to work the TV!
- 5/5
The room was nice and clean. The front desk person was very hospitable. The main lobby is very quiet, nice smelling essential oil diffusing, with soft music playing in the background. It was very calming and relaxing after a long drive to our destination. Thermostat was easy to control, and a/c was working beautifully. Bed was very comfortable, allowing for a great nights sleep. Bonus was the Vietnamese restaurant downstairs where we had wine and drinks before a fabulous dinner. Would definitely stay there again, but next time it will be a longer stay!!
- 4/5
I like that it was private and quiet. I did wish it had a better breakfast option or room sevice.
- 5/5
Only complaints: we were in the first room, right next to the lobby and the lobby plays very soft jazz music. We thought they would turn the music off at night, but it played the whole night. Not really a complaint since the music was very faint, but you could definitely hear it. Another issue: Loud employees? friends of employees? talking in the lobby till late at night.
- 5/5
Beautifully appointed room. The decor is tastefully done. The bathroom was large. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is very small. Only 8 rooms, all on the second floor so it is very private and quiet. The only negatives were the wifi is very weak and the curtains are thin. The street below is very brightly lit at night so the light came through the curtains. I awoke several times during the night thinking I had slept in late to find it was still dark out. But other than that this is a wonderful place to stay if you want be close to the T heads.
- 5/5
Small, cozy hotel, with large rooms. One block from the beach. Good food below at restaurant.
- 4/5
Bruh. There was cookies and apples in the lobby. I’m a cookie man, but you do you. The rooms are gorgeous, clean, comfortable. You think that’s nuts?!? There’s a restaurant downstairs. It’s called Vietnam by Tony Lam or something like that. It’s nuts. The spring rolls, the garlic soy shrimp, the creme brûlée, the habanero Bloody Mary. Come on!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Close to beach. The room is small and it takes a while to shower. No ice maker in hotel.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel. Getting ready for a face lift which will add to it's appeal. Room had some a mechanical noise that was loud. Next time I will ask for a different room. Room "one" was my room. Otherwise very nice little hotel.
- 4/5
Cool room. Great AC. Very slow internet. Was close to restaurants and the bay. Friendly staff and quiet. Could have used black out curtains on the windows.
- 4/5
We both love this hotel, we stayed last year for the same race we ran this year (with our oldest dog) and are planning on running next year with both of our dogs. Definitely will considering other options for next year that are either cheaper with a pet fee or higher priced with no pet fee.
- 2/5
Was woken up to a vacuum right outside our door in the middle of the night.
- 3/5
Gym had good combo machines for complete workout. Treadmill was out of order. Lobby was clean. Parking was free and convenient. Wi-Fi internet slower than phone connection. Staff was friendly. Even at discounted $125 I think it's over priced. Booking the Omni 2-3 weeks in advance (with ocean view, pool) is a much better choice.
- 5/5
Nice small quaint hotel above a vietnamese restaurant. Bed is very comfy! Bars, restaurants, and the beach are all very near by. Definitely will stay here here again.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed the staff service and we were very happy with the room and the price for it. I would definitely use this place again.
- 2/5
This hotel was not clean enough to only have a select number of rooms. Could have been better.
- 5/5
I love the atmosphere this hotel brings. The comfort and coziness of the room was great. Only issue we had was the light bulb above the shower in the bathroom was out and they did not have a replacement so it made it a little dark but other than that we had a great stay.
- 5/5
Very nice and comfortable hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will definitely be staying here everytine we come to corpus❤️
- 5/5
Nice Hotel. We will stay at it again. Bed was comfortable. The room was clean. It is a very small hotel on the 2nd floor above a Vietnamese restaurant. We did not smell the food at all on the 2nd floor. This was very close to the Concrete amphitheater where we went to see a concert. Close to the water.
- 4/5
All in all, main gripes were the door lock and the lack of an attendant at the counter much of the time. At checkout time it took quite awhile for the young lady to get back to the front desk.
- 4/5
We were given the room that was steps from receptionist desk so that was not good and the room was very small. But it was nice & clean.
- 4/5
Solid hotel with a central location at a good price
- 5/5
This little hotel is amazing! We enjoyed our stay! We were in town for Fiesta de la Flor...hotel was within walking distance and was very charming! The lap of luxury in downtown Corpus! From the robe provided for lounging to the small yet well stocked mini bar to the staff...ALL WERE WONDERFUL! Will definitely be booking again for our next trip!
- 4/5
It's a clean place, quiet, near from touristic places... attention was great...
- 5/5
Very pleasant stay at the hotel ,,I have stayed here several times in years past ,,what I like most is the privacy and how quiet the rooms are. I recommend this hotel to all my coworkers who travel to Corpus Christi
- 4/5
Very happy with our choice to stay here! Nice, clean room & great location.
- 2/5
8 total room above The Vietnam Restaurant, good location but definitely not a 3 1/2 star hotel. Not worth over $100/night either. Studio room very small, no iron, and no refrigerator. Its not a roach motel but definitely wouldn't call it nice or up-scale by no means.
- 3/5
Good location but the parking is confusing. It’s just a typical building that’s converted into a “hotel” on the second floor. Handicapped restroom makes it look like you’re in a horror movie...
- 1/5
No bath towels in the room. Didn’t discover it until got out of the shower. When called to tell them after I checked out so that they wouldn’t charge me for stealing the bath towels, they acted as if no big deal. There was no appoligy just that they would note it on my account. “Thanks for telling us”. Also room smelled as if heavily sprayed down with Lysol or something to mask stodgy fragrance.
- 5/5
This is far superior to what Corpus Christi generally offers. A great idea and a wonderful room.
- 3/5
They informed me the water would be off at 7 am. Not a great time to do a scheduled repair.
- 4/5
A great boutique, only 8 rooms. Has a very nice gym. The hotel staff extremely friendly. Plenty of parking for the rooms available. Pet friendly. Close to restaurants and shoreline. Quick drive to USS Lexington and Aquarium. Only negatives; no soap in room and the tiles at entrance and bathrooms extremely slick and needed to navigate with caution.
- 5/5
Super stay! It’s a small hotel, Staff very attentive. Rooms very quiet. Great restaurant down stairs.
- 3/5
The staff was very nice and it does sit above a very good Vietnamese restaurant. I did enjoy the cookies upon check-in, and overall, our stay was fine, but the room could use some updating. For a boutique hotel, the room was not very "boutiquey". The room was very dim, even though there were a few lamps. Better lighting would help in the bedroom and bathroom. The carpet was kind of dingy, and the room could use a fresh coat of paint in a cheerier color, not a dull, drab beige. I think with a few minor improvements, this hotel could live up to the boutique name.
- 5/5
This was a cute and comfortable hotel in a great part of Corpus.
- 5/5
Great Hotel, great location. Walkable to everything you need in Corpus Christi.
- 3/5
Honestly finding a decent hotel in Corpus Christi is not an easy task. We have visited family many times and each time we try a different location with the same results - nice folks work at the properties, but the places themselves leave so much to be desired. This V hotel is no exception. Very nice staff, however the room was sub-par. Poor lighting, uncomfortable bed (far too soft), and the bathroom had areas on the walls with paint defects. I would just rate it as an average stay for Corpus Christi, our search continues for "the place".
- 5/5
This hotel feels like home. Clean and super cute room....seems more ideal for adults, I probably wouldn't bring my kids. Great for business or weekend escape. Close to beach and attractions. Friendly staff. Great alternative to a chain hotel. Will be staying here again!!!
- 3/5
Now the less ok stuff. The bathroom is more assissted living than boutique, folding shower bench and all. Water takes forever to get even warm (forget about hot), and the floor of the shower had questionable hairs here and there. The door to the room has an ironing board hanging on the outside that claps around awfully loud whenever you even touch the door. The bedroom itself was nice enough. Furniture a little banged up is maybe the worst. Clean and crisp overall. The bed had a lean toward the middle - works for me and my wife but I could see it being a problem.
- 5/5
Very clean, very comfortable and pleasant facilities. Will come again next time in the area
- 3/5
Off the path room rental that only somewhat resemembled a hotel. Not sure if it is standard or if I just got stuck with it but the special needs shower was not a welcome amenity. Water took forever to get warm enough to shower, then, one of the days it went cold again by the end of the shower. Otherwise comfortable and quaint little room. Would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Very cool
- 4/5
From the moment you wakk out of the elevator you think you've entered a 4 star Hotel. Room is as as nice as hotels twice the price. Great experience.
- 4/5
Great hotel and service but a lot of noise in evenings. Expensive for the quality
- 3/5
The hotel staff was very courteous and listened to any issues I had with the room. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, but a couple big comfort concerns are why I had to drop the score. First, the shower took nearly 5 minutes just to warm up. If you like cold showers this isn’t a problem, but I like mine HOT HOT HOT. So I literally turned the water on, then went and watched TV for a minute or two. Checked the water again and it was still less than lukewarm. Went back to arrange my clothes to wear out, and then the shower was finally hot enough to get in. Hopefully this is addressed for future guests. But the biggest complaint I had was the window. Even with the window closed and being on the second floor, noise from the outside came in as if I were on the first floor with the window wide open. It didn’t get loud often but when it did, it was LOUD. New windows or some other soundproofing means would certainly fix this issue. All in all, I’d stay here again if I wanted a night out with friends in town. The bed was comfortable and the room cool and comfortable (adjustable thermostat). Maybe they’ll have more modern, upgraded door locks by then too.
- 5/5
The check in process and staff were outstanding. The room was comfortable, well air conditioned, and clean. The fitness room was nice. Overall, the facility was quite a luxury for the price paid. The only drawback was the location was a bit dead - safe, but not much to do in downtown Corpus.
- 4/5
This hotel is neat, clean and quiet. Staff is reasonably good in customer services. The hotel is on block away to the Sea Wall.
- 4/5
So come off the chain game and the come on from the cheapness. Treat yourself to something very special. BUT - don't book here. Use anyone but this India based service company.
- 4/5
Never told that you check in on the 2nd floor. So I sat there for an hour waiting to check in.
- 4/5
It would be 4.5 to 5 except the parking area is rather creepy. Several homeless type men hanging around and the parking lot does not seem secure. A gate or camera would be good. This is my second stay with my husband. I would never stay there by myself.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
We ended up staying here to visit family for a Labor Day weekend. We have stayed in Corpus multiple times and this is by far the best hotel we've been at in terms of quality and cleanliness. The hotel is very quiet and modern. Definitely would recommend friends to stay here and we plan on staying here again in the future.
- 5/5
Love staying there.
- 4/5
Great boutique hotel in the center of downtown !
- 4/5
stay only for one nite but will come back it was very nice stay room was nice n clean the staff staff very helpful.
- 4/5
There are so many things they could do to make this the best hotel in Corpus Christi; better mattresses, better blackout shades, better breakfast room service/ coffee service just to name a few. It could become a "Best of Boutique Hotels" with a little more effort.
- 5/5
The service was out of this world, 5 star. Not a chain hotel, very nice, quite, clean, friendliest staff I ever have had. Down side, no fridge or microwave in handicap room and you must ask staff for ice. No pool or hot tub, (which we almost never have time for or full of kids and can't use). So we didn't miss not having those. This place has character, We loved it. Hope they have a room available next time we need one. Another note hotel is only on second floor and you must go up elevator to get to it from the restaurant. When the restaurant is closed you must use pass-code to get in. In other words very safe place.
- 5/5
I'll stay here again.
- 5/5
Loved the hotel! Very quiet, cozy and friendly staff.
- 4/5
It's a quiet, centrally located place; it is a bit odd, as other reviews have said, to enter the restaurant to get to the hotel, but it's just the vestibule. The elevator is right there, so you never actually go into the restaurant. The parking lot seems sketchy, but they do monitor it, and our car was fine. We also had a child with us, and he didn't seem out of place. Over all, a pleasant, low-key experience.
- 5/5
Very quiet. You would think you were the only one there.
- 5/5
Everything about this hotel is awesome except for the hardness of the bed I will be staying here again!!!!!
- 4/5
A unique experience...only 8 rooms in this truly boutique hotel, which occupies the second floor of a 3-story building in downtown Corpus. On the main floor is the Vietnam Restaurant, an elegant place with great food at modest prices. The V is quite modern and inviting. Room was just big enough, with a cloth bathrobe laid across the comfortable bed. Only improvement I can think of would be to add a floor lamp of some kind in the corner of the work space area.
- 5/5
Mini bar and robe Very quite. Personal
- 4/5
While the building looks kinds shady from the outside, the hotel and room itself was nice. It's above a Vietnamese restaurant and looks abandoned when the restaurant is closed.
- 5/5
Very comfortable bed. Bathroom was nice and clean. Plush robe. Service was excellent. We finally found a hotel that we want to stay at every time we're in Corpus (we visit a lot). Definitely look forward to staying here again.
- 3/5
It was a good CBD location with access to the bars and comedy club and several restaurants. But not much to do during the day as it was winter.
- 5/5
Our orignal booked hotel turned out to be a dump with no heat when we arrived. Looked great on web site. Glad we cancelled. The V Boutique was a gem of a find. Felt like VIP with only 8 rooms. Walking distance to restaurants, shoreline and marina. Short drive to museums and attractions. Definately plan on stayimg there again.
- 3/5
This is a funky property located upstairs above a Vietnamese restaurant and at first we weren't sure where to park or how to enter. It's just a flat parking lot and very exposed which can be a bit worrisome for a possible break in (but they do have cameras and do monitor it). The front entry way had dead plants at the door and was not very inviting. Then as we stepped off the elevator we were greeted with a funky floral stuffy smell that I didn't care for much. The greeting staff was a young man with his long hair pulled up on top of his head and fairly disheveled in his wrinkled shirt and pants. Really not appropriate for the front desk and first impression. The room was clean and we settled in for the evening. The bed was way to soft for my preference and had no real support for the back which made it very difficult for me to sleep. The air conditioner struggled to keep the room cool. And if you turned on the bathroom light (it included a very loud fan) no way to separate the two. For $250 a night....we expected much higher accommodations. We were disappointed.
- 5/5
It was perfect.
- 4/5
It was great Have used this motel in the past Good location
- 5/5
I can not say enough good things about this hotel! The staff is awesome, the room is awesome and extremely quiet! I travel for business and I would stay at the Omni when traveling to Corpus. Not any more! This hotel blows the Omni out of the water! Free Wifi!!! That's huge for a business traveler. I get very disappointing when I book a room at a luxury suite I expect everything that I got at V Boutique.
- 4/5
Boutique hotel - a little hard to find, and above a restaurant located close to many things. Only stayed one night for business so didn't do any site seeing etc. Bed was very comfortable, staff was incredibly friendly. Would stay here again.

- 4/5
All but one towel in my room looked like it came from my rag bag and the carpet in my room was vacuumed clean but looked really grungy and desperately needs to be replaced. However the positives defiantly out number the negatives and will stay there again.
- 5/5
Very quiet with no distractions. We rested very pleasantly on the soft bed and pillows. we were very close to all the destinations we needed to visit during our stay .
- 5/5
VERY nice stay...large, comfortable room; amazingly comfortable bed and linens made for a super good and luxurious sleep; very nice staff; intimate setting. Only thing that could have been better would be a new shower head...took forever to rinse out shampoo and conditioner. Would DEFINITELY stay here again and highly recommend this little place.
- 3/5
But overall nice.
- 3/5
The people working there are fantastic. I called because I was going to be a late arrival and their restaurant was closing and they helped me to order dinner to be ready for when I arrived. Yet, there was no salt or pepper or any other seasoning. I asked for lemon - no lemon. No water, but they did do that for me which I thought was very, very nice. Another thing that really bothered me and I travel about 175 days out of the year is that this hotel does not have cards but an electronic keyed number you enter to access the room like on a gym locker. One would think he would have given me a card with the number. One of my biggest pet peeves in this world is when I am checking in at a hotel and I am asked for my address or phone number or they announce my room number out loud. As a woman I find it inappropriate and dangerous. Well, the gentleman takes me to the room, opens the door and proceeds to announce the number while he punches the code while the door is opened right in the hallway and says the number!?! There are not black out curtains. I travel constantly and even though it is rare I sleep in as a traveler it is nice. Lights didn't work. The air conditioner literally woke me up at one point because I thought a plane was landing in my room. Robes are like sandpaper. The service is fantastic. Even I believe was Jessica was extremely friendly and helpful so great service makes up for everything, but I would not stay here again.
- 3/5
It was a nice hotel BUT it has paper thin walls and windows. We heard EVERYTHING.
- 4/5
Overall I really liked the place and would stay there if I go back. Which I hope I don't have to do because downtown Corpus Christi is awful. Do not walk the streets after dark. Really that's the case for most large cities but when I get hit up for money by three different homeless guys during my one block walk to get dinner...that's pretty bad. But hey....this hotel has you covered for food with a nice restaurant on the 1st floor, so don't worry about walking the streets looking for sustenance. By the way...during my three week visit to Corpus I stayed at the other two highest rated hotels in the area and the V Boutique has them beat hands down!
- 4/5
Hate to rate them too low. It's right downtown, easy parking, very clean. But old building, very noisy (the shower in the next room was very loud...you could hear them drop the soap), and what was the mechanical noise that went off randomly every 90 minutes?
- 5/5
I am so happy that I found this hidden gem online. I spent the previous night across the street at the Holiday inn and experienced trouble with my AC and was not happy with the way they responded so I looked online and found this place for less money. It is very small with an inviting home comfort. I have a broken arm and the staff (Kim) went out of their way to assist me. I will stay there again! I considered not posting this because I don't want it to be full the next time I need to book.
- 3/5
Interesting place being placed above a Vietnamese restaurant.
- 3/5
Bed felt like it was 10 years old. Could feel the springs. Made For a very uncomfortable stay. The room and the hotel, which is located above a Vietnamese restaurant, were nice, clean, and Nicely decorated. Service was great!
- 5/5
This is a small independent hotel. Usually I avoid them, but in this case I wanted to try it because it seemed to be a convenient location. I was pleasantly surprised, it is a very comfortable and clean hotel with excellent management and friendly staff. Only 8 rooms and just like being at home, without the excessive closeness of a B & B. I will definitely stay here on future trips to Corpus Christi. Good restaurant downstairs too.
- 5/5
Thanks, Enjoyed our stay, Melanie
- 4/5
Hotel staff very nice! The toilet seat had a crack in it and it pinched our bottoms when we sat down and got up. On the first night I was woke up at 5 in the morning to a woman screaming at someone, this went on until 6:30 in the morning.
