The breakfast was good enough. The staff was inattentive to clients. The receptionist for some reason was always on phone and had no time to serve incoming and outcoming guests. That was very annoying. The silence time wasn't respected by staff during night time. I had a room on the first floor next to the lobby and sounds of loud conversations and yelling disturbed me all the night. Location of the hotel is near a freeway, so noisy as well.

When I booked my stay i accidentally booked a shower roll in or disabled room as the front desk staff had described it, they could’ve verified it with me first and have it changed to a standard 2 queen beds with a tub in the shower, but the front desk staff didn’t verify it with me, so my whole stay the place is too hard and I woke up with a sore body and not comfortable at all

Room was lovely - very clean and comfortable. Spacious, clean bathroom, fridge, etc. bathroom included all soaps, lotions in containers on the wall - nice feature. Breakfast was good, nothing fancy but hot, fresh, replenished frequently, staff were proactive in assisting. Parking and area directly around hotel was well kept and felt safe. Underground parking with direct access to hotel, overground parking for larger vehicles. Hotel was 10 minute walk from OC fairgrounds - perfect for our needs. We would stay here again.

One of the best hotels I've stayed here in California, Supper clean, great customer service. I was able to take my daughters prom pictures in they lobby I loved it.

Pros: The beds in our immaculate room were extremely comfortable. The nightly rates were reasonable, especially for a hotel in a relatively safe neighborhood and central to so many activities in Orange County. It was quiet, and the "free" breakfast was above par compared to others. It was an easy walk to the OC Fair and Pacific Amphitheater. We travel to SoCal often and will stay at this BW+ again. Cons: Just one... We spent a few evenings in and found the TV channel lineup to be limited. Bonus: Starbucks is a half-block away!

We stayed one night, before getting on a cruise. It was advertised that they have a free shuttle from SNA. Which is one of the things I was looking for before booking. The day we arrived, the driver was out sick and they couldn’t send the shuttle, so they offered to reimburse my Uber ride. We also asked for late checkout (which of course would be subject to having the availability) and the guy at the front desk, who gave owner vibes, made us feel like it was no problem at all. The overall customer service was definitely above and beyond. I would recommend this hotel, and I will be staying again in a few months, because if the excellent service.

We have some suggestions. Lighting in the bed area was dark. Brighter lights and maybe light filtering curtains would help. Also, a towel rack to hang wet bath towels in the bathroom.

Was returning home from another country,1st flight 2 Frankfurt was delayed/Airport was Huge.Lost,couldn't find tram driver 2transport me FAR AWAY 2Gate Z-66 from Gate, then my plane had departed to Denver.Rebooked by United 2 LAX but next connecting plane to Honolulu was the Next Day so I had to quickly find a LA Hotel w/ShuttleVan from airport. Hotels.com App showed a "Best Western Plus Newport Mesa" that stated it had a Airport Shuttle Van pick up & also mentioned that it was about 30+ miles from LAX.It was a good price & I booked it & added Travel Protection. Then I called the hotel to ask where I should go when I arrived in LAX to meet the Van? A woman answered and said, "We don't Pick Up From LAX." Then my Boarding started, I told her that info Hotels.com listed the distance from LAX, so "Why would they Do That if they Do NOT Pick Up,Drop off there?" She sounded exasperated & said, "Why Do They DO THAT?! I couldn't cancel it. Then I had Quickly Find another hotel, which was the Courtyard Marriott & they were very slow w/ pickup but I got there.I reported to Hotels.com's Insurance Co. But they said my need to cancel wasn't covered & BEST WESTERN REFUSED to waive the 1 night stay. DON'T BOOK THERE if You land in LAX. I am pursuing this further to Dispute the Charge.

Great location for the fairgrounds…walkable. Also convenient for taking ride share services to places in Costa Mesa and Newport Beach. They offered an airport shuttle service, which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was simple and adequate. The breakfast and day staff were excellent. The night staff couldn’t be bothered though.

The free parking was great. The breakfast was good but could have more selection, for example, bagels, pastries more fruit selection. Its an older facility but very clean and kept up. We would stay there again.

We couldn't hear the freeway in spite of being directly off it and only a few rooms back. It's a nice residential neighborhood with a university directly across the freeway. The only "negative" I would say is that the pool was very warm for April, like bathtub warm! Not very refreshing but that was the only thing "negative" I could find about this stay.

Breakfast was very much basic. The AC worked fine, but so loud. Staff was kind and nice.

I was then woken up by very noisy neighbors next door that didn't quite down until after 1:30 am. I had an early meeting the next day. The property was not busy at all. Why do you have to put a large group of women right next to my room?!!!

I chose this hotel because it did not nickle and dime me with parking fees and resort fees and it was centrally located where I was spending my weekend.

I enjoyed the marble spa jetted tub in the room. The breakfast semmed like a good idea, at first. I have to realize i need to lower my expecrations when it comes to a free breakfast. The eggs were bland. The potatoes were rubbery, and the sausage tasted off. They had a waffle iron so if you are into that, that would be your best bet. Otherwise, cereal and coffee.

Stayed there for 2 nights, checking was quick, breakfast was fresh(sausage, eggs, waffle, bread), want to really apprecieate the staff for providing good service. Room was clean.

This was my first time visiting the area and I liked where location of the hotel. There were a lot of things nearby but the freeway entrance is right across and made it super convenient for traveling.

It was a very nice hotel, and very close to anywhere I needed to go in Orange County.

Great service. I needed a place to sleep that had late check in because I was traveling with my child, and another hotel didn’t reserve a room and we left late from Disney. However, I was able to find a room at Best Western hotel last minute and I was so relieved. Check in was very easy nice costumer service and felt safe. The room was extremely clean. The add on for breakfast was so perfect especially when traveling with a toddler. Couldn’t be more happy with the service. Breakfast was very delicious and would definitely return on our next trip.

This is a fantastic hotel! It has been recently renovated so the interior hallways and room decor have a modern feel. Our room came with excellent blackout curtains that are recessed in the window frame (no light escaping through the sides), a deep walk in closet that allowed enough space to keep your bags out of site with a HUGE floor to ceiling door, the WARMEST pool I’ve ever swam in (seriously it was not much cooler than the indoor hot tub they have which was quite warm) and a great hot breakfast that had sausage patties, scrambled eggs and home fried potatoes. We’ll stay there again next time we’re in Costa Mesa.

I wasn’t able to make to make it due to a death of an immediate family member I called them I called Expedia and they said they refused a refund!!! My intention was to go but this was out of my control. I just cannot believe people operate like this.

I was pleasantly surprised and will recommend this hotel to others. It was clean, spacious, had everything we needed. I lived that they had TESLA charging stations- 5. That’s a bonus! Also, free breakfast, good variety. Lastly, every front office staff member was very kind and helpful. Excellent service, great value.

Room was nice but had a wired smell, breakfast was good and filling. Did not like the location of our room right near exit door and maintenance room. Heard doors closing all throughout the night. They were weird about the bath towels. When asked for more they were hesitant to provide. Heated pool and jacuzzi available. Besides this we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for an awesome stay! my elderly mother stayed here over the holidays. She was welcomed in and received the ADA room that she requested. The room was clean and very nice! She enjoyed the breakfasts each morning and loved the staff and their hospitality. Overall, it was an amazing stay and we are grateful to the whole staff for taking such good care of her.

First time staying here and had a wonderful experience! Check in was easy, parking was convenient, the room and bathroom were clean, bed and pillows were comfortable, get the room with the complimentary breakfast because all the breakfast food items were outstanding! We had some car trouble check out day and front desk allwed us to check out a half hour after checkout time. Very convenient to the OC fairgrounds and has a nice AM PM around the corner with a Jack in the Box and nearby other fantastic food spots. They get A++++ thank you and we would surely stay again :D

One negative. Very disappointed with attitude, lack of friendliness and service of the man who checked us in at 8:45 pm on 10/16. Surly and gave us a Queen rather than the King we reserved. He is a black mark on the property!

Gentleman who helped upfront I wish I can remember his name. He was so amazing with an amazing personality. Just the few minutes I encountered with him he was so joyful n kind. He lightened up the room. We gotta have more people like him in customer service.

Nice up grade, clean, looks well maintained, outstanding pool, Hot jacuzzi needs help (water to low) overall over- priced for area.

The air conditioner in the room outdated and very noisy. The only bathroom light, the one surrounding the mirror is unbelivably bright! Painful to the eyes! You can't dim it and it's the only light. We ended up using our cel phone cam light instead. Other than those two things the place was great.

If your a novice traveler you m8ght be slightly dissappointed. With that said for the price this place is a gem free parking compared 34.00 a day at nearby location. Plent of EV charging. Free breakfast. Was it "amazing?" No but it was fine. That paired with the staff its win win. Right across the street from the OC Fairgrounds an 10-15 from Balboa peninsula. Airport shuttle to J W airport. For 150 a night. Good luck finding a better value. Laundry and pool,spa, gym. Its all good. How long will you be in the room anyways?

We went to a concert at the Pacific Amphitheatre on the OC Fairgrounds. I didnt realize the fair was in full swing. So, being able to walk to the venue was awesome. Room was pretty spacious for the price. Good TV channel choices. Room was very clean. Lots of outlets for charging. Bed was a little firmer than we prefer, but others may not care. Overall, a very good experience.

When we arrived around midnight, two shirtless men on the patio—possibly guests or homeless—made my wife feel unsafe, ruining our stay. She wanted to leave immediately but we had already paid for the room. The breakfast buffet, across from the lobby, wasn’t self-serve, with skimpy portions. Arriving at 8:30 AM, we found most food gone, as service ends at 9 AM. Staff stacked chairs around us while we ate, making us feel unwelcome. Coffee required a trip to the lobby and the orange “juice” was Tang or SunnyD. The room’s smart TV had two black lines across the screen, distracting at times. It only offered live TV, YouTube and AccuWeather without a personal device. Noise, an unwelcoming vibe, and poor amenities made this stay unpleasant. We don’t recommend [Hotel Name] and won’t return.

Really great service in every area of the property. We stayed one night and it was perfect for our needs.

We stayed with our kids and it was perfect! 20 minutes away from the beach and food places near by too.

The Pool is not really clean

However, the noise level was a major downside. The walls and doors do very little to block out sound from the hallway—you can hear everything. Other guests were loud and inconsiderate, with slamming doors as early as 7 AM, kids running up and down the halls, and people talking loudly. It made it hard to relax or sleep in. Overall, decent for a short stay if you're a heavy sleeper or plan to be up early anyway.

We left in the middle of the night. The room was not comfortable. There wasn’t central air and the air conditioner was not regulating the room temp. There was hair on one of the towels that my husband didn’t notice until the hair was stuck to his wet body.

The room was dirty, we had to be moved....we moved ourselves without any assistance. The new room had a refrigerator that leaked, air conditioning unit that was very noisy and old. The guy at the front desk was rude. He told me his name is John, I later found out he gave me a fake name. Our toilet was clogged, we had to call maintenance. The housekeeping stall was very nice.

having a hard time explaining but the room we had was very nice, the reception area too. but the outside of building, neighborhood and the pool/jacuzzi were my least favorite. i’d personally probably wouldn’t stay again although our room was very nice. hard to rate how i thought based on my experience but the low ratings is def due to what i wasn’t satisfied with.

The clerk was very unfriendly. Never smiled. Was a matter of fact person. I didn’t want to ask questions because he just wanted to give me the key and leave. That’s how I felt. Other than that I enjoyed my stay
