Amazing staff clean room and nice pool

The mattress was very hard and so very uncomfortable. The pillows on the bed left something to be desired.

Everything was great When you walk into the room it doesn’t smell straight like smoke but you could tell it has been smoked in before, But when I had taken a shower and I didn’t fully dry my hair when I got in bed my hair smelled of cigarette smoke so bad the next morning. I had to come home and re wash my hair now I am not a smoker never have but I have been around it before and the facility is supposed to be non smoking which I liked a lot but to smell that after showering and it be stuck in your hair was horrible other then that everything was great

It’s located in a quiet area and the lot is well lit. The bed was rock-hard, like a concrete slab! Also, there were little black ants in the bathroom and on all the furniture in the sleeping area, not tons of ants, but enough to be annoying.

King suite was very large and nicely decorated. This was during the week and there were issues - the tv in the bedroom didn’t work the first night. The front desk came up to reset and after 10 minutes we agreed to let someone else try the next day. The next day when we came back, the bedroom tv was working but now the “living room “ tv had audio but no picture. Also, the faced the road and traffic was very loud all night long. Front desk said only one other king suite available but only difference was one floor above. We cut our visit a day short so we could get some sleep. Also even though breakfast was until 9:00 am, at 8:25 there were only empty containers - no eggs, no meat, etc. no one around in area to ask. Maybe other rooms away from the road are better.

The location of the hotel Hotel is dated. The door in the restroom stuck to the floor half way open and couldn’t open it all the way. Breakfast was until 9 but at 845 was cleared out. Check out is 12 but at 900 housekeeping came around knocking over and over. We said we are still here and they opened the door anyways and said we’re trying to take the laundry. Welp, guess it’s time to go then. Paid a bit to not even get to enjoy our full time at the hotel.

The room was so big and clean. It was very quiet and easy to relax. There is nothing a can point out. I was very happy with the location and the staff.

Staff and overall it was good. The property itself needs some repairs like hall a/c, and minor property wear and tear. Maybe replacement of some hardware here and there, But it was next to nothing compared to good staff and overall cleanliness. It mainly needs to be updated and get minor facility upgrades.

Housekeeping opened our door at 9:22am while we were sleeping.

Clean room and courteous staff.

Very clean, smell good, the room was huge.

The ac made the room too cold and then the heater wouldn’t get warm. The pool water was freezing. Some of the plugs were lose not able to hold a plug in the socket. The WiFi did not work at all said connected but no internet connection for 3 days

Great stay rooms were big and spacious only complaint is the breakfast attendant acted a little out out when asked about food.

For the price, our stay was good! Free breakfast, although limited in variety, was a huge plus! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only negatives were that the toilet in our bathroom kept getting stuck after flushing and that the hallway always had a damp, wet smell to it. Not sure if it was the humidity or not, but the smell was only in the hallway.

The air conditioner did not seem to be working properly. The halls and rooms all felt musty. There were dehumidifiers in the halls. I also ended up with bed bug bites all over my body.

Only negative item was the shower pressure was not strong, but this was minor. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again

Furniture was old and chair was very dirty and I wouldn’t dare sit on it. Breafast was just the worse. Staff not friendly when addressed the waffle mix needed replacing. I wouldn’t stay here again. While we were down stairs eating breakfast at 9 in morning we returned to our and housekeeper went in and took out the used towels which I thought was a violation as she clearly saw al our belongings all over tve room. Very disappointed in this stay.

When I received the room one of the pillows was smelling really bad (I can’t be specific here but imagine the worst), another one was smelling to man’s lotion. The corridors of the 3rd floor smell to urine and/or moisture. Very bad smell crosses the walls from room to room from toilets. The local management and staff are absolutely useless, incompetent, and display bad attitude and mediocrity, they are not committed to provide the bare minimum. The manager gets upset if the customer complains or brings the point to their attention. The local management pushes back and doesn’t care about improvement in the services of the hotel. One of the managers challenged me to complain with corporate which I will take the time to do very soon.

breakfast was terrible. no salt and pepper available. waffles were not good, sausage was not cooked enough. eggs were watery. Free is not always good.

It was a treat stay. The only problem was the few roaches that went scattering in the night when the lights came on. But we survived and all in all I would stay again because the price was decent and really didn’t have any other concerns.

The king mattress in our room was horrible. Could feel the springs in the bed and did not get a good nights sleep. Mattress needs to be replaced

I had received a confirmation about check in and check out when I arrived to the property I was told my check out was at 11am and not at noon like on my confirmation

For example one of the housekeeping personnel was making coments about how the people was still in the room , and she wanted to be done before 11 am when the check out supposed to be until 11 what is her deal? If a customer pats for a room for a specific reason why she complains in public in how she was not getting the rooms earlier.

The rooms were disgusting. We looked at 3 different ones before we decided to leave 20 minutes later. The wall paper was peeling off the wall, the bathtubs were stained and the rooms smelled like mildew. We never received a refund even though we left so abruptly. We’ll never book this hotel again.

Amazing. Great check in experience and the check out was even better! The breakfasts were the usual, but good. The place is a great place to stay. Looks brand new inside.

The photos are from when the hotel was much newer. I'm honestly surprised LaQuinta still allows this place to associate with them. It is old, dirty, and run-down. Dirty cleaning rag left in sink when we arrived, live roach in our room, walls and adjoining room door is so thin we clearly heard all details of our neighbors (3) intimate moments. For breaksfast, instead of sausages, they used hotdogs. In short, just unpleasant.

Hotel is old it’s smells breakfast gets picked up @8:30am. That’s rubbish I will never stay at this hotel. Cheap Managment.

The hotel is very nice and quiet. Everything was very clean which I appreciated. The king sized bed in my room was very uncomfortable though. It was super hard making it difficult to get comfortable and causing me to wake up periodically in pain. I did not sleep much at all. There was a large empty space where apparently a sofa used to be. Everything in the room worked wonderfully and it was convenient to the family members I came to visit. The breakfast was okay. They served wieners rather than sausage or bacon which I thought was strange. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay, breakfast was superb with many choices. It is close to great attractions (Nasa, Boardwalks, parks…) many stores nearby also. Friendly staff.

Young girl that checked us in was brutal. Completely disengaged. Didn’t notice us at the desk as was on phone. Couldn’t give us the name of a cab. Didn’t offer to help. Eventually allowed us to use hotel phone to call one. Very unfriendly and felt we were a bother.

Good location for the purpose of our trip. Lots of good restaurant choices in Deer Park on Center Street and along Spencer Hwy. There was both a small refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Bed was comfortable.

We’ve stayed here several times. Each time has been just as pleasant as the time before. Only thing was that it was hot in the hallway on the third floor but once you’re in your room, it’s fine. Breakfast was good. Everything was clean and smelled good as always.

Check in was easy. Clean entryway. Clean hallways. Clean elevator. Super clean room! Smelled nice. The floor was loud but that’s expected given that it was a holiday week. Breakfast was delicious. Managers and staff were polite. Would recommend and we will definitely stay here again.

First room assigned smelled dank and musty. Half of lamps didn’t work. Telephone out. Request to move was quickly done. Room lights all worked. So did air conditioning! Unfortunately, the telephone and television neither one worked. Call and quick response fixed both. The other problem was that the elevator broke down several times during our stay. Unable to walk stairs we were unable to take our dog out. Staff was helpful in extending our reservations due to the fact that I had injured my back and was not able to travel to our next destination. Housekeeping was kind in taking care of our cleaning needs.

The pool was freezing cold, and the hot tub (still advertised on media) is paved over. Very disappointing!

The staff was super friendly. It was easy to check in and breakfast was perfect. My only issue was really the inside pool, it wasnt heated and not clean. I rented this roo. For a lil bday gathering for my child so i could take him swimming. Well we could've even stay in it was freezing. I heard alot of other residents angry about the same issue. There was hair and eyelashes just floating with a couple bugs and it was not a good experience. I felt i ruined my sons bday .

We have stayed at this property many times since 2010 and always have a pleasant stay. My only complaint is now since merging with Wyndham there is a $40 a night for two nights fee for pets. This is costly for us as seniors taking cancer treatments which is why we have to stay in Houston. We have a small cat that doesn’t ruin anything there. Otherwise we give this hotel a 10.

The property’s Air system could use some upgrading, but very clean rooms & all hotel areas. The daily breakfast was hot & nice variety. The front desk employee, Helen was exceptional, she was pleasant & addressed any & all questions about the property & area.

I was impressed with this LaQuinta. I walked my pets around the property and it was very well kept and clean. There is a gazebo area with a bbq pit for guests to use. The room was big and clean. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful.

Overall the stay was amazing, everyone was very helpful, the pool was a bit cold but other then that, we are very happy and would definitely be back!

Staff at front desk were amazingly friendly and helpful. Hotel is definitely a little older and the furniture could use some new paint to rectify the old/u kept look. Breakfast was a normal hotel breakfast. Rooms were clean.

I am so upset, I’ve been using Expedia for 4 years and never had an issue. However my last stay was horrible!! I DID NOT receive the room I ordered and was still charged!! All the front desk worker could tell me was how Expedia was a 3rd party & that on her end the rooms did match!! Wowww what an inconvenience for my stay!! This was my 5th year anniversary also!! I’m very highly upset for getting the room I did NOT chose, therefore I was overcharged!!

The elevator quit working on our first night, but luckily we were only on the second floor. I have no idea what they did with the guy in the wheel chair. On our last night the toilet was stopped up but the desk never sent anybody to check or fix it. Because of this I was forced to use the public restroom on the ground floor and forgot a book. Although they found the book they would not ship it to us even though we agreed to cover the cost of shipping. Stay away if you can.

Amazing stay

Very good place to stay, its like 25-30 mins from downtown Houston. Breakfast was amazing and so was the staff. Rooms were clean too. But if you are planning to swim in the pool, don’t go here. It’s inside and the pool was FREEZING! Even the room where the pool is at was cold too!

The elevator was broken so we had to take the stairs, I believe the air conditioning was was not working because they had the windows open but it was really cool that night so it was ok, and the next morning the housekeeper was trying to get into our room at 8am. We had the latch on the door so she knew it was occupied but she kept jerking and pushing on the door she did this about 3 times and my husband had to open the door and let her know we were sleeping. Other than that it was okay.
