Reviews
The Magnolia Hotel in Denver is generally well-liked for its central location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, guests frequently express dissatisfaction with the parking situation, elevator issues, and lack of certain amenities.
- Central location
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Parking is expensive and limited
- Elevator issues cause inconvenience

Very nice hotel in downtown Denver.
- 5/5
The room was great! Parking was a little confusing if your not using the valet but we figured it out it was $30 a night which for downtown Denver I didn't think was awful. The staff was soooo nice the gentleman that checked us in helped with directions to places we wanted to walk to. All around great experience. They also give milk and cookies at night which my daughter loved!
- 5/5
Wish I had to more time to stay. The gym and pool looked amazing, although I didn’t get time to use it. Want to stay again next trip to Denver. Perfect location to baseball, nightlife, train station, and restaurants.
- 3/5
Great location, very clean. Everything that really mattered was fine. That said, nearly every piece of furniture, counter, sink, finish, etc. was significantly ragged for what you would expect out of a ‘4-star’ hotel. I can appreciate that it’s a historical building, but it needs a refresh to align with how it’s marketed. Also, no matter how gentle the attempt… the room doors always slam. It’s disruptive.
- 5/5
Room was clean, shower had good pressure, bed and pillows were comfy.
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Amazing and convenient
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly.
- 4.5/5
This hotel is centrally located in Denver and it’s easy walking distance to many restaurants and other attractions. The hotel rooms are clean and quiet and the beds are comfortable.
- 4/5
Very good
- 3/5
This is an older hotel with some modern touches. The age does show in some areas of the room. You could see rust in a couple spots in the bathroom. The shower/bathtub had a couple cracks in the floor. The rest of the room was nice and spacious, however, considering it was a 1 king bed room for almost $300/night, I was disappointed to see there was no mini fridge, microwave, or drawers for putting your clothes in (there was a closet with hangers). The hotel does have it's own restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Location is convenient for the downtown area and nearby cities like Golden or Morrison. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a good hotel, just don't expect some of the things you are used to seeing at other hotels.
- 5/5
Better coffee bar with French vanilla options.
- 3/5
There was an open cubby space in the closet. When I questioned the staff about the bed, they explained that all rooms only have queen sized beds. I walked by a room that clearly had a king size bed. Overall, it was a nice room, but I would rather have storage for my clothes rather than a desk that never gets used..

Nothing, miserable in every way A total rip off. The people were rude It sucked in every way. Waste of money and I will never consider staying there again.
- 5/5
The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful! The hotel is really pretty and well maintained. The location is great with tons of shopping and restaurants all around.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! The staff were very kind and d helpful! Would recommend!

The room was small but comfortable. Breakfast for two was included at the onsite restaurant. Parking is always expensive downtown, but I thought the $67 per night valet fee was excessively high.

Room was clean. However not super impressed as I thought I’d be. Tiny rooms, no bathroom locks, bathrooms were lacking, just kinda cheap with everything.

Restroom, room, couldnt access balcony, no fridge or microwave in rooms, bad view and no pool

It was in a good location, it’s an older building need some more lighting but the price was good. The cookies and milk at 8pm was a hit. Parking in Denver is too much $$$

- 4/5
Nice area downtown, was attending an event at The Ritz Carlton. The restaurants at the property were very good.
- 5/5
Fantastic location, a 5 minute walk to the 16th street outdoor mall. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and modern.
- 5/5
Great beds, resturaunt/bar and location.
- 5/5
Every staff member we encountered was friendly and attentive. Grabbed a bite at Harry’s in the lobby and loved the food and atmosphere. The nightly milk and cookies treat was the cherry on top. A flawless experience from check-in to check-out!
- 5/5
Loved my stay! Staff was super kind and helpful and my room was very clean and spacious. Also as a solo female traveler this trip, I felt super safe on and around the property which is very important to me!
- 2.5/5
The staff were kind and helpful. Cookies and milk at night was nice. We booked a king room for our anniversary but they told us the system over sells so they had to downgrade us to a queen. No refund, just a voucher for breakfast. There was no mini fridge. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The shower smelled like mildew.

I am really happy with this hotel — it’s one of my favorites so far. I love that it’s centrally located and offers great value for money: not too cheap, but not overly expensive either. The bedroom is beautifully designed, the bed is comfortable, and the daily housekeeping was excellent. I also really liked the flavored water they had in the lobby. The restaurant downstairs looked fancy but was still affordable. The staff were all very helpful and kind. I truly enjoyed my stay. On my last day, I even stayed a few extra hours because the room felt so cozy while it was raining in Denver. Nothing I can think of

Overall *meh* on all fronts. Bed and pillows not great. Lots of noise from the street during the evening.

Perfect location near paramount
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay. The only thing I did not love was there is no bathroom in the main lobby. It was downstairs and through a not so lit up area. Otherwise 5 Stars. The little coffee shop outside the lobby is very nice.
- 5/5
The staff are fantastic. We arrived hours before check in, but Marisol was terrific. She offered to pre-check us in and store our luggage if we wanted to go out. She said she would call when our room was ready, which she did as promised. When we arrived back, she took the time to review our VIP perks, inform us of the complimentary coffee in the morning and cookies and milk at night, which if you stay there, definitely take advantage of both. The room was clean, except for the bedside bench could use a once over with a steamer, and the oddly stained cushion could be replaced. Overall we would stay again.
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
The cookies were amazing!
- 5/5
Clean room, very spacious , staff friendly, great location
- 5/5
Overall great stay

Spotless
- 5/5
The MOST comfortable bed! I slept so good that I didn’t know where I was when I woke up! Great walk-in shower. Excellent staff!
- 3/5
The check in itself was over 25 minutes just waiting in a line of about 15 people. Super slow moving and staff didn’t seem to care about inconveniencing everyone waiting. The room itself smelled muggy and stayed that way the whole time. The bench at the end of the bed was dirty and stained it had someone’s long dark hair in several spots which is gross. The desk was dirty and dusty like it was wiped with a dry paper towel and nothing else. The bathroom sink was scuffed up all over and had water marks on the counter and more hair. All in all definitely won’t be staying here again and definitely not worth $218 a night. Super disappointed with this stay. Be warned of the mugginess and dirty desks, and bedroom furniture.
- 1/5
Don't stay here if you are a medical or recreational cannabis smoker. I was charged 400 dollars as I checked out becaise the maod smelled cannabis. I'm a state cannabis card carrying veteran but the manager didn't care because they have a policy. I'm getting an attourney...my policy for unemotional corporate robots that cause harm for profit.
- 5/5
I would highly recommend this hotel it was great! Will stay here again in the future!
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and so comfortable!
- 5/5
Amazing service
- 5/5
Had a very pleasant stay here. Really great, would definitely return.
- 4/5
Shower drain was clogged and room temperature couldn’t be adjusted but other than that it’s a great hotel. Huge comfy room!
- 5/5
Great location, clean & good price for location.
- 5/5
I would book again… best hotel I’ve been in while in Denver so far
- 5/5
Excellent staff.
- 5/5
Friendly service, quick check-in. Clean room
- 1/5
Change rooms 3 times, AC not working, staff at the bar really bad attitude
- 3/5
Did not enjoy the hotel. It said they were dog friendly. It is not dog friendly. There is no place for your dog to go to the bathroom. I had to drive out of the city to get my dog to go to the bathroom.
- 5/5
Nice rooms
- 4/5
Great location. Very nice place and great people.
- 4/5
We were able to check in early thanks to the kind staff.
- 3/5
Window where every dusty, hand full of cobwebs, bathroom tub was pealing and tile was caulking was peeling off. Was told it was an upgrade and really didn’t feel that way. Staff was great and location is nice
- 3/5
Old hotel and not kept up to date. No fridge in room. Needs a makeover
- 5/5
I loved it locations and the staff amazing
- 5/5
Everything was perfect, except for there's only 1 ice machine on the 1st floor, and no kitchenette. Otherwise our dogs loved it, and we did too.
- 5/5
I stayed at Magnolia for a Winter getaway and my friends and I enjoyed our time! The staff is very friendly from the front desk to the bar. The room is very nice however the bathroom could be updated a bit more, looked renovated. All in all 5 stars for location near Downtown/Union Station.
- 5/5
Clean room staff was super friendly !!
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Really nice place!
- 5/5
Excellent location, surrounded by a variety of restaurants and activities all in walking distance.
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff was nice. Even the guy at the front desk, didn't remember my real name, but remembered A name and called me by it every time! My only complaint is the lack of a minifridge. I simply overlooked before booking, thinking this is standard in most hotels, because it is. I see what they are doing here is forcing their guests to rely on expensive Harry's restaraunt. Well, "due to unforseen circumstances"...Harry's was CLOSED on my last night there, meaning those that did rely on Harry's had to find other options as well! Forcing me to cool my food with trips to the first floor for ice 3 times a day was not ideal, but I survived.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Quiet rooms
- 5/5
The staff was amazing, room was clean and comfortable. I’ll definitely book here again.
- 3/5
Servers- extremely nice. I felt bad for them having to tell every table (3 days in a row) that they were out of so many things. Plus they were short staffed. Front desk - extremely nice as well. Room- simple and clean. No fridge or microwave. No chair, even though it said and showed one in pictures.
- 5/5
Clean room great service and free cookies
- 5/5
The room was clean and amenities were nice.
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff was amazing and super attentive
- 3/5
My pillow had hairs on it, the sheets had big pieces of lint on them, the shower leaked and the floor was dirty. There were popcorn kernels and some other hard sponge like things all over. Disappointed for the price. Staff was nice
- 3/5
the restaurant was really good
- 5/5
Very nice room, beautiful hotel and incredibly kind and accommodating staff. We were able to check in early and they held our bags for us after we checked out since our flight didn’t leave til 6pm. The restaurant on site was fantastic and the location is great. Lots to do around the area and there’s always a scooter or bike close by if you don’t want to uber (Try the scooters! They’re so fun!) This will be our first pick for a place to stay if we make it back to Denver!
- 5/5
We will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Room was spotless , Staff was top tier and amenities were top tier couldn’t have stayed in a better place. Everything is around!
- 5/5
Rooms were spotless, the staff were friendly and very attentive to our needs. Would definitely stay here again when I’m in the area. Shout out to Samantha at the front desk for being so welcoming!
- 3/5
Room was great but the doors had trouble closing.
- 4/5
Clean, quiet, and decent location!
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Spotless, very nice tub, and lovely amenities. Staff was wonderful! Will be staying here again.
- 4/5
The room, staff and hotel was amazing. My only conpliant was the bathtub. They put like a piant over the tub and it was chipping off, so i could not take a bath. Other than that everything was great. Definitely would stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean and Coveinent
- 5/5
Excellent staff, great location, nice rooms
- 5/5
Everything about the hotel was excellent.
- 5/5
Staff, they set up some sparkling champagne for my fiancées birthday, had toys and treats for our dog, and housekeeping was great!
- 5/5
Boutique hotel in the heart of DT Denver blocks away from Union Station Magnolia staff were very flexible about check in / out time and went above and beyond to make sure every guest enjoy their stay Great dining options around the hotel, for seafood Water Grille offers a superb menu My fav spot was The Trybal African Speakeasy located right at the corner of Champa @17th st, 2 minutes walk from the hotel You need to make a reservation and get a password to get in, the food is spectacular and the service top notch
- 5/5
It was a great experience at Magnolia Hotel, my husband and I we were so comfortable and it was cozy, everyone was so friendly and attentive, room was amazing so clean, it was such an amazing experience. Thank you.
- 5/5
My room was clean and the front desk associates were all helpful! I will be returning again
- 4/5
Staff was fine , room was clean
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful when we had questions
- 5/5
The staff were super helpful and friendly! They went out of their way to make us feel special during every interaction. We didn’t require a lot of attention but they were quick to help with anything we needed. 10/10 would definitely recommend!
- 3/5
Peeling paint in the bedroom I looked behind the dresser in the living room and old balloons and wrappers were behind it Front door secondary lock didn't work Sink in bathroom needs to be replaced Front desk personal, were very nice
- 4/5
room was very clean. staff was wonderful. the only issue is the tv in room kept glitching. it would turn off, then turn on, then turn off for a few min then turn back on. It was very weird. The BED!!!! soooo comfortable. Not hard, but not mushy. The sheets were wonderful. Slept very well. No noise issues.
- 5/5
Everything was great!!!!
- 5/5
Staff & nice clean rooms.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Central location for downtown. Room was clean and nicely appointed.
- 3/5
The staff was welcoming and kind. The room was clean and in good condition. The bed was well below average. Both sides of the king bed had large wells in them, causing my hips to be 4-6 inches lower in the bed than my head and feet. When lifting the comforter and sheets up, the divots/wells in the mattress were extremely obvious and significant. The mattress should be replaced. Otherwise, our very short stay was delightful.
- 1/5
Staff was unhelpful. I informed them about 2 incidents involving someone trying to enter my room in the middle of the night, security should be top priority. I was brushed off by the management.
- 5/5
Great staff!!
- 5/5
Beautifully updated historic building, with a wonderful bed, and friendly helpful staff.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful, location, facility, employees.
- 4/5
Beautiful property, beautiful room, lovely soaking tub. Less than friendly check in.
- 5/5
The room was fine and restaurant was good.

Enjoyed our 1 night stay so we could attend show at Paramont.
- 5/5
Great stay amazing staff from the Valet to hotel stafff love the people wonderful place
- 5/5
I didn't know about any free breakfast. This place was absolutely amazing. Whenever I go to Denver this is the only place I want to stay. The bed was so comfortable. I love the mini candies and the fruit infused water. This place was a dream come true.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
The staff was fantastic and the property was very well kept. Will definitely be back in the future
- 5/5
Nice room very clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
I love this hotel I'm from Colorado and I started staying there 15 years ago and every time I go back home I try to stay here at least once or twice before leaving again. It's a great hotel staff is great the location is great and the rooms are very comfy.
- 5/5
Rooms are comfortable and clean
- 2/5
My stay was disappointing and did not reflect the reviews or photos. Check-in was poor—there were no upgrade options offered and no explanation of hotel amenities. My room did not have hot water or a microwave, and I was not informed at check-in that a microwave/snack room was available on the first floor. The room was very small with a parking lot view. The bathtub showed significant wear with chipped paint and appeared unclean, to the point that I avoided using the shower. Overall, the hotel did not feel luxurious, and service and aesthetics were underwhelming. Additionally, self-parking was not available despite Expedia stating that it was; valet was the only option.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and helpful, location is great and our room was kept clean.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Had a nice stay.
- 4/5
Room was clean and fairly quiet floor appreciated the upgrade
- 5/5
Cute building, clean, friendly staff, easy check in, and conveniently located for downtown activities. I’ll definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Everything about this place made for a very nice stay. Thank you!
- 4/5
The vibe and staff of the hotel and connected restaurant were great. However, for the price and star rating, I expected more. In the king room I had, the living room curtain was coming out of the wall, the bedroom was missing a curtain, no base boards in the kitchenette (could only see white glue) and the bathroom sink was very scratched. Bummer.
- 5/5
Nice, comfortable beds. Service was above par at front desk. I loved the restaurant and bar with great drinks and wine . Small and boutique-like with friendly bar tender. Food was good. Great wine list.
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 4/5
No breakfast
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly service.
- 4/5
Everything was fine except the very slow shower drain. Would overflow in under 10 minutes.
- 5/5
clean room, helpful staff
- 5/5
Check-in staff are always so kind and helpful. We always appreciate their time when needing help with rides or places to eat!
- 5/5
Friendly front desk staff and very comfortable clean room!
- 5/5
Samantha, at c/i was amazing and most accommodating! Love the bedtime cookies and milk!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, nice clean room. Easy walking to restaurants. Easy parking garage near by
- 5/5
I wish there were more areas for my dog to do hiw business
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay on New Year’s Eve, the room we booked was over booked so we got a different room however the gave us a higher floor with a west facing view so it worked out.
- 5/5
Great customer service, snacks, and clean rooms. Would return again!
- 3/5
Not many options for parking and I wish there were refrigerators in the room. Everything else was good
- 5/5
Staff was amazing. Hotel was extremely clean. Valer parking price was a little much and the room service food left much to be desired but the hotel itself was perfect. Highly recommend. Would stay again
- 4/5
Lobby is beautiful but the room (esp the bathroom) could use a refresh. Great location!
- 5/5
the staff Samantha, Jack& Branden from Valet and Mathew outstanding Service Amazing team and I hope the hotel owners take great care of these Bespoke staff They helped me after a very long drive from Nashville, I was exhausted. Thank you you all for being so amazing
- 4/5
Great staff, clean room, and good breakfast at an awesome price!
- 5/5
Nice rooms, good stay. Slow service at breakfast at the in-house restaurant.
- 5/5
Great room very clean staff was wonderful
- 3/5
Everything was fine until I returned to the hotel room and they were very unusual guest hanging out in the hallway, asking for me to order food for them. They’re very underweight when I called down to the desk and told them whoever was on duty rushed off and ignored my concerns of my safety
- 3/5
The staff was great. The room was...kinda sad. The surfaces (bathroom, tub, etc.) all felt Motel 6ish--worn, cracked, stained; there were also missing light bulbs, etc. (room 669). It just didn't feel like anything special for a place that's pretty into hyping itself up.
- 5/5
Everyone was very kind and helpful. Also, I was upgraded from a regular room to a suite, which was large and very nice. The second sink, microwave, extra space, and fireplace were all appreciated. I also enjoyed the convenient location with nearby amenities.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, great staff, beautiful bathrooms
- 5/5
Excellent stay!
- 4/5
Clean room, good location, friendly staff. My friend and I stayed for a night while going to a concert and it was a nice home base. Parking was a bit of a nightmare, but if you use the attached lot on your own (without using valet) it’s $30 for 24 hours. A bit pricey for the area, but was worth it to have our car nearby for check out. Would stay again, but was a little bummed there wasn’t more snacks in the lobby, as that’s what I usually expect from Marriott/Bonvoy properties..
- 5/5
The property was very clean with great service. The rooms were relatively large and kept up. Everyone from the front desk employees to vallet were great.
- 5/5
Service was amazing, room was beautiful and relaxing. Loved it!!
- 5/5
Front desk staff was very helpful, professional, and pleasant!
- 4/5
Very professional and courteous staff. Hotel facilities and rooms are excellent. We stayed in 755, the door was hard to open and made a loud noise opening it. The air circulation was not great either, the HVAC vents blow from the ceiling towards the beds and miss the front of the room. The morning coffee and evening cookies and hot cocoa were great.
- 4/5
Air was load and bathroom was wired.
- 5/5
Clean room great staff
- 5/5
Matthew at check in was wonderful!
- 5/5
Staff was great. Friendly and helpful. Appreciate the level of service we received.
- 5/5
Everything was splendid
- 5/5
We never did utilize any of the things the hotel had to offer. However, the cleanliness and the welcoming demeanor from the staff made it worth our while. I highly recommend the Magnolia Hotel if you want to be treated like a celebrity.
- 5/5
Spent the night as we had our company christmas party. Loved the food. Beautiful room and bathroom. My only complaint was the bed was too hard. I woke up with achy hips. Otherwise, most excellent stay.
- 5/5
I love this hotel!!!! They have been so kind and accommodating. This hotel has no additional charge for pets so my dog has felt at home as well. The staff are very helpful and so loving with my dog. I will come back!!! My dog and I highly recommend this hotel!
- 3/5
Very convenient location to downtown.
- 5/5
Excellent Service!!
- 5/5
All staff welcoming, helpful. Property and rooms wonderful, clean, comfy. Just booked again in few weeks!
- 5/5
Great staff. Great location. Great food.
- 4/5
great location!
- 5/5
Happy to receive it
- 4/5
Close to everything we wanted to do
- 5/5
I love that you guys are pet friendly and theres no additional cost for my pet. The only thing i would have appriciated would have been a pet area for my dog to go potty instead of having to walk blocks away. I did enjoy my stay and would highly recommend.
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable and the staff was super friendly. Nice touch with the delicious fresh baked cookies every evening and the piping hot coffee every morning. I will definitely be back!
- 3/5
The next morning I went to breakfast and was informed that there was a 30 minute wait to be seated, and that the kitchen was backed up and food would probably take an additional hour. Unfortunately, I did not have this amount of time so I went to the front desk to request a credit for the breakfast that I purchased. I was told by the front desk person that since I booked through a third-party app, hotels.com, that she couldn’t credit anything back. That was pretty much the end of the story there was no apology, no attempt to resolve in any manner. I was told that I could call the manager, but I would be told the same thing. Frustrated and out of time I just left. It was clear to me that while this could be a very nice facility with an excellent location, the customer service is lacking. Employees all appear to be overworked, under trained, and don’t care. I will not be back.

- 5/5
It's been a long time since I stayed in a hotel that had such excellent service!
- 5/5
Great hotel! Friendly staff, clean and very comfortable bed!
- 5/5
My wife and I had a great day at the Magnolia hotel!!
- 4/5
My initial room with a king bed was quite noisy, which made it difficult to relax. The front desk team was helpful and relocated me quickly, but the only available option was a room with a queen bed. While I appreciated the prompt assistance, no rate adjustment or credit was offered for the downgrade. Overall, the service was responsive, but the room change experience could have been handled more thoughtfully.
- 5/5
Clean comfortable room- very nice staff- excellent stay
- 1/5
Then the thermostat needed to have batteries replaced and the unit reset as there was no heat...in Denver, in the snow. Last was the next morning no hot water in the shower. I waited about 15 minutes with the water running then just had to use a washcloth and wash my hair in the sink where there was hot water. 3 strikes and you're out. The staff was apologetic but all they could do was "add points" to my FF program and could noy compensate me since I had pre-paid.
- 5/5
Great staff, excellent rooms, in the heart of downtown denver
- 5/5
Rooms were spacious, front desk was super kind and helpful. Bathrooms need updating.

I put my father up in this hotel while he visited. They put him in a fantastic room, the staff was very friendly each day. Would book here again.
- 5/5
Fantastic customer service
- 1/5
No one else had access to my room and I have proof that I had the shoes there. Super unsatisfactory
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! The food and drink were deliscious!
- 5/5
Warm & cozy.
- 4/5
When we arrived, room was not spotless. Floor was littered with tooth floss tool & vape caps as if it had not been vacuumed. Bathroom floor hasn’t been mopped
- 2/5
The room was dirty and was not in good condition.
- 5/5
Great and friendly staff very nice rooms
- 5/5
So nice
- 5/5
Very nice
- 4/5
Nice room, good location
- 5/5
Clean room, great location, friendly staff. I would stay again!
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 2/5
I would recommend giving a newer hotel a try for this price. Only positive aspect of this hotel is its proximity to restaurants and Coors field. Too many other competitive options to continue to stay here.
- 4/5
Room was clean, things were a bit run down, thin walls but was great for a two night stay.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Denver was amazing. Can't wait to come back
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful and so kind and accommodating. The room was beautiful and exactly what I needed!
- 5/5
Very nice clean rooms extremely friendly staff
- 5/5
Breakfast was amazing. Got a Breakfast voucher for a delay in getting my room and it was a great meal.
- 5/5
Love this hotel and its location. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. So many places to eat and get a drink within walking distance.
- 4/5
Got a terrible room the first night - the toilet didn’t flush and lots of noise from the next room. Talked to the desk staff about it the next morning, and they set me up with a great room for my second night - clean, quiet and the toilet worked! Overall it’s a nice hotel in a good location.
- 3/5
Bathtub was broken and peeling on the floor. The sink was scratched up and dirty.
- 5/5
Great staff, it was close to a lot of things.
- 5/5
Staff was so so kind and helpful here! Room was clean and the ac/heater was extremely effective. Nice walkable area, absolutely would come back.
- 5/5
It was better than what I expected
- 5/5
Great gym. Milk and cookies each night. Great cocktails at the bar. Friendly helpful staff. Clean. Excellent location. Recommended.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff and nice VIP service
- 5/5
Everything was great! Nice clean and friendly staff. The restaurant excellent.
- 5/5
Nice room. Checked in early. Eddie at the desk was great. Thank you.
- 4/5
The stay overall was pretty good. The room and common areas were clean and the staff was helpful and polite. The breakfast was also really good. The two issues we had were the A/C and the room service. The A/C didn't keep the room cool at all, in fact no adjustment changed the room temperature. So sleeping was difficult. The other issue was the two desserts we ordered. We ordered the banana pudding and the cake, both were not worth the price. We tried both and didn't eat more than one bite from each.
- 5/5
The check in was amazing and empathetic. I was left here for one night and was left here without a car, purchased another night and they let me have my same room back. I wholeheartedly appreciated that.
- 4/5
Courteous staff, clean room.
- 5/5
Very nice rooms, perfect location.
- 5/5
The hotel was great, the rooms were great.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
I was there for a weekend getaway. Shawn the valet was amazing. Had the car ready for me for my adventure of watching the sunrise at red rocks. He checked up on me. Made sure I knew where I was going. Definitely made my trip so relaxed. The entire staff was great.
- 5/5
The room, the central location, really friendly staff, all lovely
- 5/5
The room was cleanly the entire time and the tv and their streaming services were great to utilize while out on vacay.
- 1/5
Front desk was super un helpful and because on Expedia it didn’t say you have to be 21 and up to check in they tried to charge me $100 to stay so didn’t even get to use the room was a waste of money and time front desk people were super rude and not nice don’t recommend
- 3/5
Was expensive hotel.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, good drinks, comfy bed. Great location.
- 5/5
I had such a a quiet and beautiful room. Thank you.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent!! Especially Samantha& Eddie!!! They were at the front desk!! They were extremely helpful!!! Also the free water at the front desk, the free code & tea in the morning & free milk & cookies in the evening!!
- 5/5
Great amenities, no wait for elevators, and really friendly staff.
- 5/5
Very kind staff. Cute hotel, in a great area, very walkable. The restaurant in the hotel had excellent food.
- 3/5
The hotel is very outdated but the staff is wonderful
- 5/5
The breakfast Biscuits & Gravy w/fried potatoes was amazing! And the cookies at night were an added bonus!!
- 5/5
Really clean room. The free water at front desk is an underrated amenity, appreciated this so much!
- 4/5
Great hotel in Downtown Denver!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
clean and comfotable room. staff was very friendly and accomodating. free water bottles (importnant in Denver)
- 4/5
No thanks
- 5/5
The room was large, clean, and quiet. The hotel was near everything we were going to, just had to take the free bus.
- 5/5
Liked this location. Would stay there again
- 4/5
Overall a very clean comfortable hotel in a good location. Originally our room had no heat so we were upgraded. Do wish they had better furniture to be able to store clothing
- 5/5
clean room friendly staff fresh cookies at night. very good experience
- 4/5
We were here to see a concert at Coors Field and wanted a hotel within walking distance. Nice hotel, but be FOREWARNED, you will pay $27 a night to park and parking is a block away we did Valet because we had coolers, luggage and what not. Valet is $64 a night! Should have asked. Next time I drop the wife and luggage off and walk the extra block! The restaurant Harry's had great food. I had to send back my salmon the first time because it was raw, but they got it right the 2nd time and comped me that meal as well. Kudos to them for that.
- 4/5
Parking cost was astronomical at hotel and other public garages .
- 5/5
Convenient location, spacious room. Great service
- 5/5
Great price for a very nice hotel. Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast included as was $30 drink credit. Thanks Expedia!
- 5/5
Parking was safe with Valet and offered without for less. Worth the peace of mind. Thank you! We’ll stay here again if we have an opportunity.
- 5/5
The atmosphere and hospitality
- 5/5
We love staying at this hotel. We are always taken care of.
- 4/5
It was a pleasant stay in this hotel there was free goodies and milk available 24 hours and free water bottles which made the difference. The air conditioning was not properly working during the two days out of my four days visit but overall was a good experience.
- 4/5
The room itself was considered an upgrade, though the only difference seemed to be extra space. Unfortunately, it felt a bit awkward since there wasn’t much furniture to fill it. More counter space or a couple of additional pieces would have made it more comfortable. That said, the bathroom and shower were definitely the highlight - modern and spacious. We also tried the on-site lounge during our stay, but the service there was underwhelming. Staff seemed to pay more attention to certain guests, which left the rest of us feeling overlooked. A small perk is the warm cookies and cold milk they put out in the evening, but I’d suggest grabbing them early since not everyone uses the tongs provided. :/ Overall, the stay had some nice touches, but the basics - cleanliness, consistent service, and thoughtful room setup - fell short of expectations.
- 5/5
Location was great.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay but for the price I feel a small refrigerator should be in the rooms. The pillows aren’t great either. Other than that, the staff and property were amazing!
- 3/5
At checkout in the early AM the front desk person was rude and acted like we were bothering her. She had no name tag. But was working at 5am on the Sep 23, 2025. We asked for our car key and she asked for ticket number. We tried to explain valet guy didn't give us one because we would be leaving before valet opened in AM. She just blew us off and said "you're no help, I'll find it my self" and stormed off. The hotel was in a perfect location. One block away from 16th Street and walkabe to just about everything or an Uber for a few bucks. The hotel overall was ok. Our room was a decent size. The tub had a non slip bottom that felt rough like sand paper. The sink bodywas huge but the actual hole of sink was about 6 inches. Pillows were horrible. No Tea. At night it was mostly road noise all night and could hear the homeless screaming all night from the 9th floor The best part was the free warm cookies and milk between 8-10 pm. Free coffee and tea in lobby in AM. Free bottled waters for entire stay. Valet was $64 a night. Restaurant, I would NOT recommend. Super tiny and part of lobby. Football game was on and just tons of people screaming at TV. We got a basic hot pretzel ($17) and it was burned. We also ordered the cheese fries ($18) which was potato wedges and molasses and a few drops of cheese. Drinks were sub par for the price. Overall we would not recommend. We will not stay here again.
- 5/5
Great staff at reception
- 5/5
Beautiful location with super friendly staff who upgraded us immediately at check in and gave us $30 worth of drink vouchers for being VIP with expedia. Rooms were very comfortable and it was very easy to get around outside the hotel, walking distance to a lot including union station which we took the train to from the airport and Coors Field. Our room was cleaned each day throughout the stay and coffee in the lobby was amazing. Excellent stay for the price! Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Best trip I’ve been on will be back
- 3/5
This is a pretty typical conference-style hotel, but the housekeeping and facilities left a lot to be desired. The bathrooms are really dated—the tub looked grimy, the toilet in my first room wouldn’t flush, and the old hairdryer even singed my hair. Housekeeping skipped my room three out of five nights, and when they did show up, they didn’t wipe down counters or clean the tub. They also forgot basics like coffee and cups. Overall, it’s fine for a business trip, but the lack of consistency and upkeep was frustrating.
- 3/5
Not my favorite. While it’s in downtown, it just seemed like nothing was around
- 5/5
Our room was spacious and comfortable and the hotel was conveniently located to restaurants and bars. The $62 charge for overnight valet parking was clearly excessive so I parked two blocks away from the hotel.
- 4/5
Will stay here again
- 3/5
Nothing special. The plumbing fixtures were not well kept. The AC was very loud, it was hard to sleep at night.
- 5/5
Great spot.
- 4/5
Incredible staff and location, but the room amenities seem slightly outdated and worn.
- 2/5
They don't clean our room one day and doesn't give us coffe implements 2 days in a row
- 5/5
Great hotel with walking distance to many main attractions. Staff was super nice and helpful, we appreciated water was always available and the warm fresh cookies at night 😋 loved!
- 5/5
Clean. Quiet hotel. close to everything you could need
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 2/5
I booked this hotel as we were traveling from CA to Denver for a Red Rocks show (which I've done about 6 times now) so we know the drill and have our itinerary down. I wasnt aware that check in was at 4 until after I booked the room (majority of hotels are 3pm check in). They were less than accomodafing when I asked for early check in, due to the tight schedule of the shuttle check in time (also 4), they didn't seem to care. Every hotel I've stayed at for red rocks has always tried to be accommodating to Red Rocks visitors since the shuttle is pretty punctual. When I arrive, we are in a hurry, they are training a person at the front desk and I let the manager (or whoever was training her) know that we were in a hurry cause we had to catch the RR shuttle, he didnt care and preceded to have her check us in with no sense of urgency. I was pretty turned off by this. We get to the room, we have to body slam the door to get it open lol. Next day we didnt have any hot water in our shower. When I called the front desk the girl put me on hold for a good 8 minutes. Called back she asked to put me on hold again, I said "no I've been on hold for awhile and I really need to get ready to make it to brunch and have no hot water". She said "oh im just getting back from lunch but I'll send someone." She can't answer calls after lunch? I'm confused lol. Hotel is cute, beds comfy, the staff was terrible, except maintenance.
- 5/5
The stuff was friendly and the location was great and made access to the city easy
- 4/5
Our room did not have a clock or microwave. I asked for a clock which was delivered but I did not ask for a microwave as we didn't need one. I would think this should be a part of housekeeping to make sure the rooms have everything they should. Otherwise, it was a nice stay. We would stay again.
- 5/5
Great service and great rooms!
- 5/5
It was a clean, beautiful property. Everyone working there was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. We chose this hotel because it is very dog friendly and does not charge a pet fee. They had water and dog biscuits in the lobby which my dog thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Location
- 4/5
Within walking distance of everything
- 4/5
Property was nice and helpful staff. Didn’t like that there was a charge to enter room early even though it was ready. Seemed extortionate. You’re here and tired from traveling, your reserved room is available but it’s an hour early so give us money for something that doesn’t affect the staff or hotel.
- 5/5
Customer Service was Excellent shout out to Matthew @check in accommodating early check in/out with Marriott Rewards. Riley in the bar provided Excellent customer service on our last day as well. Place is very nice & clean. Complementary water bottles. Walkable to all of downtown, sporting arenas, shopping, & restaurants
- 4/5
property nice and location in Down town Denver was convenient.
- 5/5
After our stay we decided that this was going to be the start of a monthly staycation. Everyone from dinning staff to front desk everyone was so helpful. Sam was a true rockstar in helping us navigate our stay prior to arrival. Thank you
- 5/5
A nice hotel in the downtown of Denver. The room was spacious and clean with modern facilities. We had a very pleasant stay.
- 3/5
Our first room had a conjoining door that did not lock, and we switched rooms because we were not comfortable with random people having access to our room. The second room we had, the AC stopped working twice. The first time, an engineer worked on it and fixed it. The second night, the engineer left for the night and we had to switch rooms again. The staff gave us a credit for free breakfast which was very nice of them.
- 5/5
Our stay at this hotel was magnificent. From beginning to end, the service was outstanding. Our room was nice and clean and the extra amenities blew me away. Free coffee, water bottles, treats for yoyr dog if you bring one and a voucher for 2 drinks! Amazing! Will definitely be back. Almost firgot the best part, each night in the evening, you get free milk and cookies! I would like to thank Matthew at the front desk for being so nice and welcoming.
- 5/5
The staff was really helpful and were able to accommodate us when checking in.
- 3/5
Bed was so worn down that it was like sleeping in a hole… had to call the front desk at two am for someone going down the hallway banging on doors and yelling. The hotel itself was pretty nice just the bed and lack of sleep put a damper on my stay.
- 5/5
Yummy 😋 breakfast at the hotel restaurant not included easy access to coors field and 16th St Mall
- 5/5
I like how I was immediately treated like a VIP and given access to my rewards right away. You can buy nice furniture to make a room look nice, you cannot buy excellent customer service.
- 4/5
The staff was phenomenal. The room could use some updates. Loose tile in the bathroom, baseboard peeled off in the closet, light switches in odd places for the bathroom and lamps.
- 1/5
I would never stay here again, my room was smelly. Bathroom sink and tub was extremely dirty especially the tub, looked like it was never cleaned I wore a slipper while taking a shower.
- 5/5
the service was outstanding
- 5/5
A great hotel with lots of character to back up having everything that you need.
- 5/5
Good hotel, close to transit and downtown areas. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
Nice property quite close to the Shopping mall. The restaurant on the premise has limited dining options.
- 3/5
Hotel room bathroom felt very old and dirty, and the shower didn’t properly drain.
- 3/5
The location was great and the staff were all so wonderful, the property itself was ok. The room was a bit small but not a huge deal as I was only there to sleep. There were however some chipped paint spots on the walls, a dirty towel in my bathroom when I checked in and the tv stopped working on my last night. Overall it wasn’t a terrible stay but I probably wouldn't stay again.
- 5/5
Really liked this place for its extra features. Fresh coffee, infused water, evening cookies in the lobby. Matthew at the front desk was very helpful and quick in checking us in and explaining everything available to us. Dog and cat friendly hotel. Would recommend.
- 4/5
Pretty OK.
- 5/5
Great hotel perfect location Nice bar and restaurant
- 5/5
Would have liked something to eat early in am prior to leaving for flight. I was extremely hungry. I was told to go to vending machine.
- 5/5
The rooms were very cozy! Being downtown it was not noisy at all. The staff was very nice and attentive.
- 4/5
Breakfast at Harry’s is a must!
- 5/5
It was great except for the parking garage is not attached. Pretty in convenient for a handicapped person. I could use the valet next time but I didn’t know it was available until after I parked in the parking garage.
- 5/5
Everyone we crossed paths with that worked here was fantastic. You can not find a better location for a cheaper price. I will be back.
- 3/5
The staff was certainly subpar. Our room wasn’t cleaned 1 day, we didn’t receive our VIP gift at check in, the bar never served one of our drinks etc etc. The physical hotel was OK but nothing exceptional.
- 4/5
Enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
The staff was great, and the upgrades were awesome. Bathtub looked a little dirty or worn, but other than that. Everything was great.
- 5/5
Beautiful property and extremely helpful staff! Great location and breakfast was delicious! Bed and sheets sooooo comfortable 💯They think of everything
- 2/5
It was a rough check in. Room wasn’t ready at the listed check in time. We were told that the room hadn’t been cleaned as the prior guests had just checked out. Eventually they placed us in a different room that was the same but had a fireplace. I am not sure why they were so reluctant to change the room. This upgrade should have been part of the Expedia VIP experience but it wasn’t offered that way. The room included 2 drinks and I had paid for breakfast. Neither of these were provided during check in so I had to return to the front desk. I explained to them what happened and was told that my room included breakfast and not drinks. Of course that was incorrect and I had to locate the booking info to show her that I was correct. She kept looking in her computer until she located the info which took some time. They also have to move back and forth from two computers to accomplish the lengthy check in process. The bar restaurant is set up so employees can’t see the restaurant from behind the bar so nobody comes out to take orders or provide menus. I had to go to the bar to get menus. I asked if I need to order at the bar or if someone came to our table. I was told they came to the table but nobody ever did and we left the hotel to find a different restaurant. There are a lot of nice hotels in Denver and I would stay at a different one next time.
- 5/5
Drink tix were nice!
- 5/5
This was a great hotel and perfect if you have pups with you
- 5/5
Very friendly guest service. Big soaking tub and comfortable bed. Had a coffee shop right downstairs as well as a restaurant. Hope to stay again!
- 5/5
Great service !! Very comfortable! Such a great place.
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 2/5
The room smelled like dirty dog & cigarettes. The tiles in the floors were falling apart. The floors were so dirty my feet were black. The shower looks dirty & the bed is very uncomfortable.
- 4/5
It was fine except like other times I have booked through Expedia, we got a room WAAAAY in the corner; literally as far from the elevator as one could get
- 1/5
room was extremely small
- 5/5
When you first walk in the hotel smells amazing, everybody was super friendly and helpful, milk, and cookies in the lobby at night is such a great touch, and super thankful for the bottled water at the front desk. Everything was very clean. The room was great. Could not have asked for a better stay. I will definitely be returning.
- 5/5
The bed was pretty comfy, staff was very friendly. Walkable to almost anywhere.
- 4/5
Harry’s had good food but expensive. The room was comfortable, but did not see housekeeping until our third day.
- 5/5
Very clean and accommodating. My original room was somehow given to someone else so they upgraded me to a bigger room at no extra cost.
- 5/5
Great place and great location
- 5/5
Awesome place and definitely would stay there next time I’m in Denver
- 3/5
Check-in was supposed to be at 4, but our room wasn’t available until 5:30 and was only given a $50 restaurant voucher for the both of us when we overheard two women getting a $50 voucher each. We were also supposed to be called when our room was available but we received no call and instead decided to go ask ourselves around 5:30.
- 3/5
The property is just okay. I have an average rating because the front desk customer service could have been better. When asking questions the front desk acted like it was a bother. There’s a sign in the room that says if you need ice to call the operator and they’ll bring it to you. No one ever came. If they were too busy they could have just guided us as to where to get the ice ourselves. We also asked for extra pillows and that never came. Valet service was pricey but the valet customer service was excellent. our stay here was just okay, I would not stay here again.
- 4/5
us. You may need to look into upper management and restructure. evenings.
- 5/5
This is a beautiful hotel and within walking distance for good shopping, as well as eating.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, with nice amenities, like unlimited free bottles of water and chocolate chip cookies.
- 4/5
We had an overnight here and Hotel Magnolia is conveniently located to 16th St mall, Coors Field and lots of great restaurants. I am not a dog person, but they welcome pets. Loved the water bottles at front desk and that the room temp can be set to really cool us down.
- 5/5
Charming hotel
- 5/5
Loved the location and how quiet it was!
- 5/5
Nice hotel, comfy beds. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
The restaurant inside the hotel (Harrys) is a , accommodating and very friendly staff.
- 4/5
I was here for a several day conference at the Denver Convention Center, so I spent limited tim at the hotel and only had breakfast there. The breakfast was fine. One day I got a moldy strawberry in my breakfast but they quickly remedied it and took the fruit off my bill, so that was fine. Daily coffee bar is good, with all different milk and sweetener options. Hotel was in a great location for me. 3 blocks from convention center. LOTS of bars and restaurants in this area. I ate at a few for lunch/dinner and had good experiences. Yelp definitely helps with this.

All
- 5/5
We loved our room. Very clean, roomy, and neat. We also loved that we were able to see the mountains from the room! Great surprise!
- 5/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff - great stay for the price.
- 5/5
Great location, awesome room and service!
- 5/5
Great hotel great staff great location.
- 5/5
Have always had a great stay at The Magnolia!
- 5/5
Everything was great except the bed was sagging and made for an uncomfortable sleep for my partner and me. Otherwise we would 100% book again.
- 1/5
Had to pay for parking but didnt see that anywhere on the site when booking. Price was not worth the tiny room
- 5/5
Beautiful, historic hotel!! And we got a great price through Expedia! They even had milk and cookies in the lobby from 8p-10p. Homemade cookies and glass milk jars, just adorable!! Friendly staff, perfect location, beautiful venue.
- 5/5
cute aesthetic. they welcome dogs and set out cookies as an evening snack.
- 4/5
Service from the staff was superb. Action was fast for our needs. We liked the free cookies & water bottles each night. The free mall ride was very accessible. We loved the location. We only had 1 issue - our toilet had a leak. When we reported it, they fixed the leak, however, another issue came up. Water did not stop filling-up unless you had to push down the overflow tube inside the tank to let it stop. We had to do this manually each time we flush the toilet & this was inconvenient on our part. They offered to move us to another room but we did not bother moving out because we were to check-out the following day. Overall, our stay was fine & will stay here again next time. We would also recommend this hotel to friends & family who maybe planning to visit Denver in the future.
- 3/5
Nothing in the hotel felt old enough to be an antique, while nothing in the hotel felt new enough to be modern. Thermostat batteries died while we were out of the room, but were promptly changed when requested. Seems like the workers do their best, but management needs to invest in the building.
