Reviews
Guests generally enjoy their stay at this hotel, appreciating its convenient location, friendly staff, and unique themed floors. However, some guests express dissatisfaction with the cost of parking, slow elevators, and various maintenance issues in the rooms.
- Convenient location
- Friendly staff
- Expensive parking
- Slow elevators

Loved, loved, loved! The staff was amazing and really helped with my delayed flight. Room is very playful and will always book at The Curtis.

The true heroes of this camp are the staff. They greet you not with stiff formality, but with the genuine, warm hospitality of seasoned trail companions. They have infused the property with a hyper-creative, spirited atmosphere where the decor plays by its own wild rules. Each floor is a frontier of quirky pop-culture whimsy, guaranteed to shake the dust off the most road-weary traveler. However, even the most beloved landmarks face the elements. A keen-eyed scout will notice that the camp is showing the scuffs of a well-traveled path; the spirited interiors feel a bit weathered and are due for a seasonal refresh. Furthermore, those hoping to wash away the trail dust will find the property lacks a classic watering hole—there is no pool, sauna, locker room, or spa facilities to be found. Yet, like a trusted pack mule, what it lacks in luxury it doubles down on in character. For its unparalleled location, phenomenal crew, and unapologetic joy, The Curtis earns a solid four out of five stars. It remains a wonderfully vibrant sanctuary.
- 3/5
The location was greatconvenient and my room was ready well before the posted check-in time, which I appreciated. However, the property felt much more worn than the photos suggested. My room had visible water stains and cleanliness issues, and the check-in process was frustrating because the app directed me to the front desk while the front desk repeatedly directed me back to the app. Overall, the stay was fine, but the hotel did not feel as well-maintained as advertised.
- 5/5
Easy to get in and out of the garage, everything was clean and well kept.
- 5/5
Love the ambiance, room decor, cookies upon check in and friendliness of the front desk. The only down side was the elevator from the parking to the lobby was so slow as only one is working and the poor cleaning staff was using it.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and very cleaning rooms :)
- 1/5
I booked a King Corner room and upon checking they assigned me a middle room 2 queen beds. The guy checking me in didn’t tell me and let me find out by opening the door. After I called the front desk, she blamed it on booking with a 3rd party, even though I confirmed 24hrs prior to check in. Why would they knowingly give my room away?!!! Will never go back.
- 5/5
This was one of the genuinely nicest hotel staffs I’ve ever encountered
- 1/5
When I arrived at the hotel at 2:00am with my heavy suitcase after a long travel, I was told that the room I paid for in advance was sold to someone else because they thought that I was a no-show. This was surprising, alarming, frustrating, and upsetting. While they did help me book a room in a different hotel, I still had to walk 15 minutes, carry my suitcase, and find my way in the middle of the night in a city that I am unfamiliar with. When I arrived to the other hotel it was already 3:30am and needless to say that I was still very upset from this experience and unable to relax and rest before I needed to show up at work a few hours later.
- 4/5
We chose this hotel for the location and that was perfect. We were a short walk from shopping, the Museum of Illusion, and most importantly, our play at Beull Theater. The common areas of the hotel were cute and fun and everything had a fresh feel but the room details were a bit disappointing. Our air conditioner did not work when we arrived. The engineer arrived promptly when called and got it working after 30 min but it only worked when set on 61 degrees, it was quite loud, and barely kept the room comfortable but it was comfortable. The refrigerator also had to be replaced as did the room phone. I suspect this was just really bad luck but it is worth noting. The beds were great and the staff was wonderful. We will be returning because, overall, it is the best choice when traveling into Denver for a show or concert.
- 5/5
Loved the unique style of the entire hotel! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean.
- 5/5
The staff treat guests like they are the only person in the hotel. It's wonderful.
- 2/5
The guy that checked us in was dismissive and rude
- 5/5
It was such a cool hotel. Loved the different themed floors. Clean and nice staff. Convenient to downtown.
- 5/5
Love abstracting at the Curtis! It’s a fun/different place to stay and a great location. The only side was it seemed the AC wasn’t working in the lobby area. It’s made it very stuffy and uncomfortable. However the room AC had no issues. I would stay here 100% again if going to downtown!
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk were very helpful
- 5/5
Love the Curtis. I can't say enough great things about the staff. The environment is fun and everyone seems to be happy with the hotel, I heard no complaints. Each floor has a different theme, ours was camping. I can't wait to stay there again.
- 5/5
Cool vibes and comfortable rooms with nice little extras. Great restaurant on property Rooms were on the small side
- 5/5
Love this hotel! Have stayed multiple times.
- 5/5
The friendliest staff ever
- 5/5
One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. If ever in Denver again will stay here. The setup for this hotel is interesting and fun. Staff is amazing. Only knock would be on if the elevators not working for the 3 days we were there
- 3/5
Everything was fine. Minor detail that could have turned out worse. The blow dryer in the room started shorting out and sparking as I was drying my hair. Glad my hair didn’t catch on fire.
- 5/5
Very cute hotel in a fantastic area. Walkable to most everything. We had a corner king room and the views of the mountains were the highlight of my day each morning. Very clean and Starbucks is just around the corner!
- 3/5
Hotel needs updating ! Toilets ran and the sink ran hot on cold setting. Rug was worn but staff was great! Food in the bar very fair!
- 5/5
Everyone was super nice & accommodating! 😊 hotel is super close to everything
- 3/5
Pretty cut and dry hotel. Not much there. If you’re looking for a clean place with no extras it’s great. Does the job. No pool, no terrace, no place to chill out.
- 3/5
Bed was comfortable but property is a little tired. Room had a stuffy smell and noisy AC.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Awesome choice. Theme floors are great. Location is perfect.
- 5/5
Very clean and nicely decorated; staff super friendly and offered complimentary water and cookies.
- 5/5
The staff was the best, we loved the room, and decor. Great experience.
- 2/5
In a cheap motel this would be bad but hey, it would be cheap. For over $300 including parking? Worst value hotel ever. Hilton should be ashamed. The name used to mean something. One positive.........the staff at the front desk really tried hard and alone they would get 4/5 stars. Pity about the rest.
- 2/5
My second issue was the a/c. It rattled and howled the entire night. There’s no way to turn the unit completely off: the blower is continuous. I put pillows on it to try to mute the sound. I was comped my parking, but I don’t think I’ll venture to this hotel again.

Great location and within walking distance to night life.
- 5/5
Very helpful staff, great location and unique room design
- 4.5/5
Staff was fantastic and the rooms cute and in great condition. Convenient in-house food and beverage options, including discount at chain coffee joint around corner. Overall fun and pleasant visually and atmosphere-wise. The creative design adds so much and all the technology in rooms (screens, plugs, Bluetooth door locks) worked nicely. The elevator kept stopping at random floors. Toilets slow to flush and an ice machine died and partially flooded a hall. They were quick to address that particular issue. I just was left wondering if it’s possible the upgrades are all superficial and key infrastructure at a deeper layer has yet to be addressed. Restaurant seemed needlessly pricey.
- 0.5/5
The room was awful! There was only scorching hot and really hot on the faucet… we burned ourselves! The shower was so gross and constantly dripping. The floor was very crusty, and counters were dirty.

Nice Hotel, just steps from 16th Street and the Convention Center. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately, housekeeping was hit and miss for us: Not sure if they were supposed to come in every day or every other day (was never informed), but when they did come in after the second night, the trash was not emptied, so it was still an issue although not a big one. Other than that, a good hotel worth staying at.
- 2/5
Shower was burning and front desk was not helpful. They moved us to another room that had the same issue. Elevators were down.
- 1/5
It didn't and I had a large hold on my card for the entirety of the weekend. Affecting my finances for the rest of the weekend. They offered 2 free "breakfast vouchers" to apologize for their mistake. It was miserable. They kept saying sorry there was nothing they could do. The manager could have cancelled the reservation and rebooked the room with the correct deposit hold amount. I will never stay at this hotel again. Because even though you must provide your ID, if you happen to have a similar name to another guest. There is a huge chance you'll lose your prepaid reservation if there isn't a manager on site to remedy the problem.
- 5/5
Highly recommend this hotel. Besides the great location, near many key spots in town, yet at a safe block, the hotel's decoration is carefully chosen and fun, amenities are great, the fitness room is fully equipped, staff are helpful and cordial, and the room was very clean.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. Nice location.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Centrally located. I would recommend
- 3/5
Nice hotel, wonderful location. Had a nice stay for 2 nights. Lost & found, housekeeping would notctewpond after repeated attempts to contact them about a sweater we accidentally left behind at the hotel. Very surprising and disappointing.
- 4/5
Nice

Loved the staff and the hotel style it was clean and quirky. Loved it There was nothing I did not like.

very good and clean stay
- 2/5
No breakfast, you’ll have to pay for parking and the parking is really expensive
- 5/5
Fun hotel in the heart of Denver, just steps from 16th street, convention center, etc. Rooms were large and comfortable. Found the cost of breakfast to be high, but plenty of other options nearby so no complains there
- 3/5
I didn’t know breakfast was offered so I think the staff should let people know even if you have to pay for breakfast it should be better advertised. Other than that I had an amazing time at this hotel !!
- 2/5
Check in was great the young lady was bubly and cheerful said we didn't have to pay for parking and took our ticket for the garage. Later at check out found out we got charged $45 a night for parking. Staff the rest of the stay seemed grumpy and bugged if we asked for anything. The elevator situation was horrible only one out of two of them worked coming up and down to the garage. The other 4 inside one never worked another broke during our stay leaving 2 working elevators for a 16 floor hotel was really bad long wait times. Also while checking in was notified that Sunday morning if we didn't leave before 630am we were stuck at the hotel until after 1030am due to a marathon in the area. Which delayed our visit to the zoo. Would've be helpful while booking if this was a notice for our dates of booking. Also the parking option would've been another factor when booking. Didn't factor in the extra $90 charge. Overall the hotel was nice the room was clean but if asked again I would definitely find another location to stay.
- 5/5
Downsides: Elevators broke leaving just 1 which was small and slow. I chose to walk up 10 flights of stairs rather than wait 30 minutes. Bathroom sink water was dangerously hot and didn't get warm, it was either cold or burned you. This is on me for not realizing sooner but there wasn't really any amenities. No pool, hot tub, games, outdoor seating area and what they did have, breakfast, you had to pay for. All in all, it was a great stay however next time I will spend a little extra money for amenities.
- 4/5
Old but clean. Elevators are a fire hazard!! More of a young person hotel!
- 5/5
Despite the good sized underground parking garage, it was hard to find parking!
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
Great staff and clean.
- 5/5
All around amazing! The check in staff was wonderful and the room was comfortable and clean
- 5/5
I had some concerns, but they were addressed immediately and I was very satisfied overall. The STAFF (including my waitress this morning) is EXCELLENT and very friendly. I would recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Great place, friendly staff, location was perfect for everything we did while staying.
- 3.5/5
Good
- 5/5
Very clean! Check in and out easy. I would highly recommend!
- 2/5
Housekeeping were great, but the front desk were not very helpful. Asked for trash bags and said they didn’t have any but when I asked housekeeping, they gave me some. Also, the air conditioning in my room didn’t work. There’s no power to the unit. The water in the sink came out extremely hot and would take a while to cool down to normal temperature. Got a deal on the booking so I got what I paid for but for a downtown spot the theme in the decorations were okay. Not Hilton or Doubletree usual work.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Very close to 16 street mall everything was within walking distance
- 5/5
Loved the uniqueness and quirkiness of the room! Stayed on the "Level Up" floor in the Mushroom Kingdom suite, had a Mario Bros. theme. Huge suite, on a corner!
- 4/5
Everything was great except the shower water. It would go from burning hot to freezing without touching the knob. The front desk said that they would look into it and was responsive. They may have but I had to leave quickly in the morning without testing it. Overall a great experience just one mishap. The staff was fantastic though!
- 5/5
Definitely would stay there again.
- 3/5
The location was close to train station, shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
Very funky hotel with friendly staff.
- 4/5
The Location was perfect, restaurant was very good. There was only a steamer in the room, an iron and ironing board would have been nice.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Did not eat or drink
- 4/5
Water in bathroom floor, moved to another room with wet carpet. Moved again so lots of up and down the elevator, but staff comped our parking and very friendly so all forgiven.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved it!!
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
Good, clean, refurbished rooms. Convenient location, however, it gets noisy because the street performers' music gets very loud between 7pm - 12am. But after that, it is quiet.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
Clean room, perfect location to walk everywhere. Nice staff
- 5/5
Staff was very kind and the welcome with water bottles and cookies in the middle of the night was so great! Any issue we had they helped with
- 5/5
The location is perfect and near everything. The rooms are very fun with each level of the building having a "theme" to it. No concerns.

- 3/5
Need to search for free coffee. Staff all very nice. Not a 4star hotel by any means. 2 at best. Free cookies and water. Housekeeping mediocre.
- 5/5
The whole building was a charm! Bedroom looked fabulous and bed was cozy. My only complaint was the shower, it didn’t drain properly and ended up showering in a puddle but after I hit put and advised the front desk they were super quick to send an maintenance guy ti fix it, my sister was able to shower with no problemas next morning so that makes me happy! Great customer service.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- 4/5
The bartender was extremely rude.
- 5/5
Such a cool place! So close to everything and everyone was so nice.
- 5/5
Breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this hotel.
- 2/5
A dirty washcloth was in the shower. My biggest issue was the shower control was dangerous! Scalding hot to freezing cold with no in between. My coworkers were also having the same problem in other rooms. All on the 5th floor!
- 5/5
Would def go back. The room was clean, and the breakfast was good!
- 5/5
The property was nicely updated, had a great location and the rooms were nice
- 5/5
Rooms were big and clean! Had games to play you can ask for at the front desk, and complimentary cookies were delicious
- 5/5
We loved our stay at The Curtis. Celebrating our anniversary, we arranged for a quick 1-night stay in downtown Denver for dinner and a Rockies game. We were not disappointed with the unique atmosphere and playful spirit about the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean, we had a great view of the Rocky Mountains. We got large bottles of water, extra coffee when requested, and fresh cookies! We enjoyed the The Corner Office for drinks and brunch the next morning. Overall a great time, we will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Clean. Convenient location
- 5/5
Perfect stay. Keep up the great work.
- 5/5
My stay was amazing I've stayed here in 3 different occasions and it never disappoint
- 5/5
Great service wonderful stadd
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff
- 5/5
The best quirky hotel ever. Fantastic place 😀
- 1/5
Staff are very friendly Clean and beautiful hotel Great location.
- 4/5
Staff at the Curtis were all fabulous and very helpful. We had breakfast and it was excellent. Room was spacious and freshly renovated but we had some maintenance issues which would need to be addressed: The AC unit was very noisy and screeched in the middle of the night; in the shower the temperature control would sometimes change while you were showering going from perfect temperature to freezing cold (small adjustment on the lever required I suspect) and the courtesy safe was not attached anywhere so could just be lifted out and carried away with all contents inside! We loved the location for access to the convention centre and a short walk to 16th street with all the great bars and restaurants. The elevators/lifts were a bit weird and sometimes they would stop on every single floor (other guests shared the same experiences) - apparently something to do with them not being synched together - guessing this is a tough one for the hotel to fix so some patience required at times. All in all, very fair pricing for the location, staff service and money paid - just a couple maintenance issues that need addressing in the room we occupied. We would stay there again on another visit to Denver.
- 5/5
Pretty sweet spot with all the upgrades. Definitely be back
- 3/5
In a great location! However not a real Double Tree-rooms much smaller, entire hotel is kid themed(weird but cute for kids). No cold water in our room had to change rooms at 10 pm. Toilet is for tiny people or anyone under 5’ super low.
- 4/5
However, there were a couple of things I didn’t like. The public areas only had two elevators, which made it a bit inconvenient during busy times. Also, the air conditioning in the room was quite loud, especially at night. Other than that, everything was fine and I had a good experience overall
- 5/5
Welcome perks (warm chocolate chip cookies and water) were welcome, as was the funky themed floors and colorful lobby. Perfect location to access theatre, dance, museums, the Capital, free shuttle Buses on 16th Street, Union Station, and myriad restaurant and bar choices. Maid service was A++(found a lost bracelet and brought to our new room). 10th time to visit, always a joy.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Everything is good
- 5/5
The room was super tiny but clean and quiet.
- 3/5
Wired hotel, felt like they covered up an old funky hotel with a bunch of distractions and weird decor. Cramped bathroom, bed terrible felt like I was sleeping on a hood of a truck, loud rattling window ac units like a super 8 motel from the 80s. Won't be back.
- 5/5
From the warm cookies and water at check-in to the playful, themed floors (each one with its own personality), everything about this hotel feels welcoming and unique. The location is another huge win—close to just about everything. We were in town for baseball and were able to easily walk to Coors Field, plus there are so many fantastic restaurants nearby. On-site parking was also affordable and super convenient, which made the stay even easier. Such a great mix of comfort, convenience, and fun—we can’t wait for an excuse to come back!
- 3/5
The room was pretty clean but the shower pressure was really low & barely any water.
- 5/5
Super clean, the staff was excellent. They let us leave our car there even after we checked out so we could walk to get breakfast. We loved the retro tv vibe.
- 5/5
Hotel was located perfectly. Almost all of my planned activities were in walking distance from the hotel
- 5/5
Everyone was super nice.
- 5/5
5 star all around.
- 5/5
Cool room
- 5/5
Amazing hotel! I loved that every floor has a different fun them
- 5/5
Everything was as advertised. No surprises and good value for the price in downtown Denver.
- 3/5
I paid $45 for parking and the app tried to make me pay an additional $16 I complained to the staff and she said I can file a complaint. I told her I refuse to pay more than the flat $45 fee. Any other issues is on them. She ended up opening the parking garage for me. Either way, I didn’t enjoy how it all played out. In addition to waiting 10 min for an elevator every time, this made the stay awful.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
Great location. Fixtures were falling off the walls in hallways, half the elevators weren't functional.
- 5/5
Clean room, really good bar service, and great staff!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Creative decorations. The themed floors were pretty cool, too.
- 4/5
Clean room, electrical is a little outdated
- 3/5
The location was great and the room was good. The luke warm shower was a disappointment as was being surprised by a $25/night amenity fee and $45/night parking fees.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel and staff
- 4/5
Perfectly positioned for any events down town. Many things are within walking distance.
- 5/5
Great location, with plenty of places to explore.
- 5/5
We have stayed here many times and it is always a pleasure. The value, cleanliness, and service is always consistent.
- 5/5
Very cozy beds- lots of pillows, great ac, super cute room. Nic bath products. Great location!
- 5/5
always fun and great location to

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your property. First, the heating in my room did not function during the night. Despite reporting the issue, it was not resolved until the following day. This resulted in significant discomfort and, ultimately, I became ill. I find it unacceptable that such a basic necessity was not addressed promptly, and even more concerning that no form of compensation or acknowledgment was offered. Second, I was charged a $25 per night “amenity fee” (plus tax), which was not transparently communicated. At check-in, I was informed that this amount would be refunded if not used for food or related services. However, this charge was still applied at checkout, separate from incidental charges. This practice is misleading at best and feels fundamentally dishonest. Overall, this experience fell far below reasonable expectations. The combination of unresolved room conditions and questionable billing practices reflects poorly on your establishment. I request: 1) A full refund of the amenity fees charged 2) Appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused by the lack of heating Please respond within a reasonable timeframe to address these concerns. I hope you will take this matter seriously and work toward a fair resolution.
- 5/5
The property was very whimsical and creative. It was nothing like any other hotel I've ever been too. It truly makes you feel like a giant kid.
- 4/5
The #1 elevator needs work
- 5/5
The only thing that would make it better is a pool for the guests.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Housekeeping came at varying times every day, and my room was only cleaned once during a 4 night stay. Otherwise, our stay was fine.
- 5/5
Perfectly situated, friendly staff, we had a wonderful stay!!!
- 3/5
I really wanted to give this 5 stars as the staff was amazing, amazing location, unique decor, but the AC unit in my room rattled all night long. My sound machine couldn’t drown out the noise.
- 4/5
Great property enjoyed our stay beds were a little on the firm side for our liking but overall great service and stay
- 3/5
Nice clean rooms, comfortable bed, and friendly staff. Great location next to theaters and 16th st mall.
- 5/5
Excellent location. The hotel staff was great, rooms were clean, beds comfortable and clean. Each floor had a kitschy theme which was fun. Would recommend to all
- 4/5
Pet friendly, paid parking garage, good location. Our room was quiet. Stayed during the week on winter. Elevators took a while to arrive. Carpet with several small stains that should be due for replacing. But beds with comfortable.
- 3/5
There was absolutely no hot water in the shower but the sink had hot water. Amanda in The Corner Office was great, an hour and a half to have dinner at 9pm with not many other customers was a bit puzzling. Elevators were so small. Front desk staff was nice enough to offer a dinner voucher and breakfast vouchers for my wife's birthday, that was about as far as their niceties went. Front desk customer service could use a dose of 'happy to be here,' with a bit more smiles and friendliness and less 'ugh I hate my job.' Customer service unfortunately just isn't what it used to be.
- 5/5
Friendly staff! Hotel is always clean. I love how adorable the theme is.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and the staff were awesome!
- 3/5
When you pay $250 a night, you should expect the elevator to work. It took forever to be able to go up and down with 20 people in line. We finally walked down 8 flights of stairs.
- 5/5
Great experience. Staff was great, ammenities were great. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Eclectic setting, each level has a different theme. Warm greeting by the receptionist, efficient check in and check out.
- 5/5
Very cool hotel. Every floor has a different theme. Super clean and staff is super helpful. Free warm chocolate chip cookies.
- 5/5
Room was excellent and had a cool 1960’s vibe.
- 4/5
Great location.
- 5/5
The room and lobby were very clean and inviting. Staff was helpful and friendly with questions.
- 3/5
Parking even when staying is 50$. The room was clean but it was just empty with lamps. The breakfast voucher was worth it. Just didn’t feel like a 200$ night room. Very mid
- 4/5
My room was clean. Everything worked well. The overhead shower bulb kept going off/on. Forgot to mention to staff.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent. The hotel is clean and casual, in a very fun way.
- 5/5
Clean room. Very quite and the staff was awesome
- 3/5
The location of this hotel is great for being in the middle of Denver. The staff at the check in were very friendly and check in was easy. I guess my only complaint is that we have been coming to this hotel for over 6 years and it really is looking tired especially the bathrooms.
- 5/5
very nice
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
The hotel itself was not bad, room was clean and views were great. The attached restaurant & bar were awesome, food delicious! My only complaint is the decor, or should I say the themed floors. It was not the place to impress more whimsical than my liking.
- 5/5
Fun, friendly staff. Clean rooms, good views
- 5/5
My second time here and I will stay again! Front desk staff and room all excellent. Great location across from performing art center.
- 4/5
Theme rooms
- 5/5
Kind people. Great location
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, staff was kind
- 4/5
Parking is ridiculously priced. Luckily we found a cheaper option near by. The check in cookies were delicious!
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly, and accommodating.
- 3/5
Nice if you have kids; prefer a more adult vibe next time in Denver; staff was VERY nice though
- 2/5
Our rooms heater/cooler did not work. We were cold throughout the night and someone did not fix it til the next day. Only 3 elevators were working.
- 4/5
Clean room, fun vibe, fun restaurant. Slow elevators
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly. Facilities were only ok. Water in the shower was luke warm at best. Elevator had long wait times.
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable and love the funky decor. It was a great stay on a great location.
- 5/5
The Front Desk staff was incredibly helpful and worked through some reservation issues. Room was comfy and cookie was nice and warm
- 5/5
I love the Curtis!
- 5/5
Thank you for such an enjoyable quick trip to Denver!
- 2/5
The hotel is just a really old hotel with a lip stick renovations and you can see it clearly. The light in our bathroom would not stay on a flickered, the carpet smelt musty, the air conditioner was so loud, tile was largely cracked and chipped in the shower. Small details like the phone in the room being very dirty and old. It seems housekeeping is doing what they can, but some things are just very old and need to be updated. The refreshments and cookies from front desk staff is a nice treat, but the decor and overall age of the hotel room did not make for a comfortable stay. Location is good.
- 5/5
AC unit is initially loud when it starts
- 5/5
Very cute hotel. Would stay again
- 4/5
This was a PERFECT place to stay for our symphony experience. We were able to just walk over. Bonus amenities included - or charged with the $25 location fee. $45 overnight parking feels steep but again- whatever. We loved how easy it was to get around and all the staff we interacted with were great. Issue: I went to request early checkout and instead she checked us out. Was annoyed at that. Messed up billing,
- 3/5
The room and hotel were lovely. However, the morning of check out around 8 a.m. I heard a knock at the door. I was asleep and didn't answer. 30 seconds later house keeping came right into my room. I was very angry. The hotel staff comped my breakfast, but did not take any money off my stay. My privacy was invaded and I felt really uncomfortable. Check out time was 11 a.m., housekeeping should not have just walked in without me answering the door or responding verbally.
- 5/5
This was the most fun hotel! Staff was great and the cookies given out each evening were amazing!
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff, good area, easy parking. Overall great night!!
- 5/5
It was great
- 4/5
Always a fun stay at the Curtis, can't beat the location if you have tickets to the DCPA.
- 5/5
Our entire stay was wonderful. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Our room was comfortable and well-maintained. It was quiet and felt very safe. Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed the calm atmosphere. The Curtis is across the street from the Denver Center of the Performing Arts which made our travel to the theater so easy!
- 3/5
Overall our stay was good - staff was friendly and helpful, location was perfect. For some reason we never had our room cleaned in three nights. Overnight I put the tag on the door so we wouldn’t be woken up so early for room cleaning, but then we were never in our room during the day and nobody ever came to do it. And then, unfortunately, the elevator situation was terrible. I have never waited 25 minutes to get down an elevator with my luggage before. And I know there were others that waited longer than us. I get the hotel was busy and everyone was trying to check out at the same time, but it was a very frustrating experience.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful in resolving any issue or sharing information. We used our breakfast credit at the Starbucks, which was very convenient. We primarily came for an event at the Colorado Convention Center, so the walk being ~5 mins was super convenient. It is also very close to lots of shops and food options. The only issue is that it isn’t the cleanest. One of our pillows was dirty, and honestly we were too lazy to go to the effort of asking for a new one (there were already more than enough) though i’m sure that if we had, staff would’ve replaced it. Also, the elevators are quite slow as well. But besides that, it’s a nice property and was very convenient for our purposes.
- 5/5
This hotel exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Great room
- 5/5
Great room location was perfect for New Years. Eve celebration and fireworks
- 2/5
the elevator didn’t work well and we had to take the stairs every time for two days.. when we did use it it took 20 min
- 5/5
N/A
- 3/5
Crazy wait times for an elevator. Between 10 and 30 minutes. Crazy! Lights in bathroom did not work, girls had a hard time with make up. Booked room with two queens and received a standard room with one bed. Hotel was full so had to use a roll away. Worst for me was the luke warm shower in the morning.
- 5/5
Great location and breakfast. Loved the welcome cookies and drinks too.
- 5/5
Everything was great. The staff was very nice. Enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
all of the above - very nice
- 3/5
The room was nice but needed more furniture. Unfortunately there was no hot water and it was not fixed until the next morning only after the maintenance man showed up to fix a plugged toilet which we did not have. Bad communication between front desk and maintenance department. Otherwise, we love this hotel and have stayed many times before.
- 2/5
The pricing for the room, parking, and amenities is ridiculously confusing when booking. And seem as though they are the way they are to scam people into thinking it's a good deal. If you have extra charges for things like parking and amenities just charge them with the price of the room when booking. And it should be noted somewhere that the amenities fees have to be used per day and can't be saved for one time use. Parking shouldnt be charged to your room automatically if there is a 3rd party giving tickets at the entrance with a qr code to pay on it. It should be noted somewhere that the process is it is charged to your room and not to pay the 3rd party. We won't be staying here again due to lack of transparency in pricing, confusing parking (that was also crammed together and no empty spots most of the time), and ridiculous extra fees.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 3/5
Overall the stay was fine. Parking is $45 unlimited access. The problem is the Curtis charges a $70 amenities fee that you can't waive and don't know about until you check in. Even if you don't use any of the products or services you are charged. I only stayed 1 night so I'm not sure if that is a once per stay fee or a nightly one.
- 5/5
The ambience of this hotel was amazing. The hotel room was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, and the hotel is centrally located within walking distance of multiple attractions.
- 2/5
I was charged a $25 fee upon arrival and was offered 2 cookies and 2 cans of soda for it. When I book through Expedia I don't expect any extra charges and this felt like a dirty move by Hilton. I will not stay with them again and will not recommend them.
- 3/5
We had a fun and funky room with plenty of space and a great view, and a welcoming staff. Food and drinks at The Corner Office were good. Great location across from DCPA. That said, it’s a strange choice to close the bar at 10PM on a Saturday night, especially when it’s full of customers. And the elevators in the morning… so slow!
- 5/5
Kyle was so friendly and amazing!
- 3/5
While the staff was amazing, and the location was perfect, we got little sleep as the hotel is much older with the walls being super thin. Unfortunately, you can’t do anything about people having normal conversations in rooms next to you. Everyone was respectful, but everything could be heard. For that reason alone, we would not stay there again. Big Hilton fan just not at this location.
- 5/5
Service was wonderful and food was great.
- 1/5
My room was not clean at all. Very dirty property.
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn’t see breakfast as an option. Parking was convenient and felt safe.
- 5/5
All of the above stood out. Location, staff, clean room and the amenities were amazing!!!
- 5/5
we had so much fun searching for Lloyd-i think someone may have taken him hostage frim the 5th floor as he was nowhere to be found. we brought that up to one of the gals at the front desk and she barely knew what we were taking about. overall, the curtis is always a fave-fun, clean and great location!
- 2/5
no hot water for showers for 4 days
- 5/5
Friendly staff, easy check in! It’s wonderful having a private parking garage right at the hotel when you’re Downtown Denver! We felt like our vehicle was very secure and it was wonderful! Very clean, easy walk to lots of shopping and different eateries. We will definitely stay here again, love the whimsical theme to the place!
- 5/5
Cool place!
- 5/5
Great hotel! Wonderful service and a fun experience!
- 3/5
Elevators rarely worked
- 5/5
Never stayed on the 13th floor before. Neat hotel. Will visit again. wish you guys would let me book future visits while there instead of referring me to the website.
- 3/5
Kind of a rough stay this time
- 5/5
Customer service was incredible.
- 1/5
Nice stafff, filthy room, not hot water
- 5/5
So great, everyone was so lovely. It was super busy with lots of people and questions but everyone was amazing!! Rooms were adorable and comfy!! Great view of the stadium!! GO BRONCOS
- 5/5
I actually stayed a few extra nights due to a surgery, and the hospital was very close by so that made it convenient. The customer service of the staff was exceptional and the facility is clean and comfortable. You are in walking distance to several places to explore and "the Office" provided a wide range of food. Plus, having the last name "Curtis" made it a fun experience and I felt right at home. I will stay here again when in the area and would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
I love our staying at Curtis! Front desk service was outstanding and restaurant too! Also the location is very convenient for the Denver Arts perfomance center and Larimer square! I would definitely be back!
- 5/5
The room was cute and had everything I need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pillows were the softest ever! I loved that I was overlooking the city and could see the football stadium as well as the Dazzle Jazz club!
- 5/5
Great and fun stay.
- 5/5
Great room with Mountain View! Friendly and helpful staff! Great perks!
- 5/5
Clean room very friendly staff. Easy check in. Love this hotel!
- 5/5
What a cute decor and kitchy design. Clean room and friendly staff.
- 2/5
we did not get the room we booked. we paid a premium for a hyper themed room and got a regular room. I had been looking forward to this for a long time and it is a complete disappointment
- 3/5
Room was in o.k condition. The heater didn't work so maintenance had to come in to fix it. Staff were courteous. Only problem was tge room was directly in front of all elevators, so we didnt get much rest.
- 4/5
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, great restaurant and bar. Rooms are a little run down.
- 5/5
Fantastic look and feel, and very Clean, and comfy beds. Only thing is they should get Microwaves in their rooms. No way to heat up your food.
- 5/5
Every thing was great
- 2/5
staff when checking in was not very nice or helpful and they gave bad directions and told us to throw away parking slip, which we then needed
- 2/5
Wait for room to be ready well past check in time. A/c controls not linked to unit, could cool room first night. Light in shower flicked when on. Reported all issues to hotel.
- 4/5
Clean room, beds were comfortable. For most, it's a solid hotel. After staying at a different hotel earlier in the week for work, I couldn't help but notice the renovations were a bit superficial. Bathroom had wallpaper that was to appear as though there was a chair rail. The walls in the room were bare and the furnishing, although unique, still somehow felt a bit sterile and sparse in a relatively spacious room. The theme on the floor was circus, which amounted to one whimsical dresser in the hallway, 3 warped mirrors in the elevator bank that weren't quite warped enough to make the viewer actually into funny shapes, and a sorta circus-y wallpaper in the corridors with random words above the doors, which then felt a little like a wing at a children's hospital. If you're going to do a theme, go all in to make it effective and fun, otherwise it's distracting. 2 great things: the 1 shared nightstand between the 2 beds had not just a standard USB but also 2 USB-C chargers; and I overhead front desk tell a different guest that we could ask for extra cookies anytime (by the way, didn't the doubletree cookies used to be more chewy/less crunchy back in the day?). The staff that checked me in was pleasant but also very tired/on autopilot. He asked me twice if i wanted a cookie and water then asked me again how many keys I wanted. Overall, the Curtis is a good stay in that it got the basics right but wish quality of the room/decor was a bit better.
- 5/5
This was my 4th stay at The Curtis. All have been wonderful. The floors have themes and my most recent stay had a vintage video game motif. Excellent breakfast on Thanksgiving morning. Perhaps it makes a difference to be a Hilton Honors member? I got a beautiful view room on the 15th floor. Close to everything. There is cheaper overnight parking near by, but it is such a great value, I chose to self park at the hotel.
- 5/5
Loved everything about this place! Staff was phenomenal!
- 5/5
Pillows were meh, shower was lava, but hotel still rocks, had a great stay!
- 5/5
Clean, spacious, comfortable. Wonderfully courteous and attentive staff.
- 5/5
Room was clean, Aaliyah (front staff) was amazing, she made us feel welcomed. Restaurant was great. Location was incredible.
- 2/5
Hotel is clean and fun. Theme and decor were great. But stay was a not good. We booked a theme room 3 months ahead, and didn't find out until check in that it had been canceled. Told roomservice wasn't an option both times we've stayed there (second time they said they don't offer room service). Overall, it was a disappointing stay. Which was sad as this was planned as a special reward for my 9 year old and he looked forward to it for months. He was literally sobbing in the lobby at checkin.
- 5/5
Such friendly staff! Quiet cozy room.
- 5/5
The rooms were spotless staff was amazing.
- 5/5
Was a nice room with friendly staff.
- 4/5
Wonderful stay but elevators were very slow for a high rise hotel
- 5/5
Great experience!!
- 4/5
no breakfast was offered, but otherwise the stay was very pleasant.
- 5/5
No breakfast is provided at the curtis
- 5/5
Amazing receptionists and great room!! Thank you!!
- 4/5
Very cool hotel decorations throughout.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Room was clean. It was quiet. Staff was kind and fast with check-in. Will stay there again
- 4/5
It was a really fun hotel to stay at
- 5/5
Nice hotel. The area around the hotel is rife with noise: illegal motorcycles, booming cars, etc. That’s not the fault of the Curtiss. That’s the fault of the City of Denver for allowing so much noise.
- 5/5
The staff were incredibly responsive to my needs given that I was traveling with my one year old!
- 3/5
The room was clean. The bed was horrible, unless you like extra extra firm with lumps.
- 5/5
The room was amazing! So fun to surprise my daughter with a video game theme! Amazing staff too and great location.
- 5/5
Room was clean and fun! Location was great. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Room was clean staff was friendly easy access to near by restaurants
- 5/5
Elevator service was super slow. Seemed like only one was working.
- 5/5
Elevators were a bit backed up
- 4/5
Friendly staff, good location.
- 5/5
We had a great visit with great views! The room was clean and comfortable. There was an issue with the hot water and it was quickly resolved. We enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
I love everything about this place. The themed floors; the fun and comfy, clean rooms; a great restaurant down
- 3/5
Fun and quirky hotel. The room was average but had comfy beds.
- 4/5
Loved this hotel and its themed floors/rooms, but for a building with 16 or 17 floors, and with 4 elevators, the amount of time you wait for said elevators is a bit excessive. So, if they could just fix those, it would all be perfect!
- 5/5
Loved the eclectic rooms! Great place to stay when you're going to a Bronco game-- convenient location.
- 4/5
10 minute wait for elevators
- 4/5
Also, required to take one elevator between parking garage and lobby was a hassel. Once inside despite four elevators there was always a long wait for one.
- 2/5
A nother matter was the jousekeeping. Same sheets all week and towel replacement twice in four days. Thrn there was the elevators: extremely slow, plus one time the elevator refused to stop at our floor (10) and we were stuck. All in all, except for the location and the breakfasts, this was a hotel with problems!
- 5/5
Had difficult time figuring out thermostat on wall was for ac which was too cold. shut it off all was good. did not eat in restaurant though I have in the past it was always good.
- 4/5
Elevators need work. There are four of them but it can up to five minutes to get one and there are only 15 floors in this building.
- 4/5
Breakfast was not included in the cost of the room - otherwise everything was fine.
- 5/5
This was a great, whimsical hotel and we loved it all! Everyone was friendly, parking was good, check in was quick and easy and we loved exploring all the different themes. It was a quick walk to 16th Street and had a lot of fun.
- 4/5
This hotel is top notch when it comes to service, cleanliness, and location, BUT what I wasn’t prepared for was the cold showers our entire stay. I knew to expect the elevators being overused so the wait times were okay, but the cold showers were a definite turn off. I don’t know whether it was our room (which I found that hard to believe, which was why I didn’t say anything) or what, but I haven’t had to deal with that since basic training. I am glad I booked there because my 5 year old was super excited. They had books and board games to ensure she didn’t get bored, and the establishment was soooo kid friendly. On the fence on whether or not I’ll stay again.
- 5/5
Having stayed here for many years, this was the first time we were treated to such thoughtful perks, making our trip even more special. The restaurant, The Corner Office, was nothing short of exceptional. The breakfast we enjoyed there was reminiscent of a five-star dining experience, with a diverse menu that catered to all tastes. The servers were incredibly attentive and friendly, providing top-notch service that further elevated our meal. Overall, this stay has been one of our best yet, and we are already looking forward to returning!Having stayed here for many years, this was the first time we were treated to such thoughtful perks, making our trip even more special. Staff was great. Walking distance was good to 16th street as well as Empower field.
- 5/5
Very clean, love the decor. The staff were super pleasant. Also we loved the beds, so comfortable!
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Wife stood Monday for a concert and came back again for another concert Wednesday. Both times were easy clean and worth every dollar definitely recommend to stay at !
- 5/5
Great location downtown
- 5/5
I will Definitely come back and recommend.
- 5/5
The cookies were the best part
- 5/5
I liked having parking options, the room and hotel overall was nice, the front desk girls were helpful, and I had a quiet experience.
- 5/5
Great location, walkable to ball stadium and lots of fun things nearby.
- 5/5
Is nice is sharm
- 5/5
Love this hotel
- 5/5
Clean and friendly. Great location.
- 5/5
Great staff. Kind helpful and friendly.
- 3/5
I love the themes of the floors, however, my first impression was going into the parking garage before I even went to the front desk UCK!! dirty, scary, the lower floor was full of used old furniture, not a way I would like to enter what is supposed to be a nice hotel close to the performing arts center. Elevators soooo slow. MOST IMPORTANT! Colorado is in a drought, there was no concern about saving water. I looked and looked for a towel rack or hook to hang my towel, but none to be found until I looked up high on a wall. I located a strange comical hook up high on the wall, not where you would expect a towel hook to be. it couldn’t hold a hand towel. Thus the reason the room was stocked with many towels . This was very concerning to me. I am not sure I would book again unless they commit to sn environmental presence, a very simple fix it is to add towel bars or hooks to hang towels, and to advise guests to conserve water.
- 1/5
When we checked in to the hotel the day of our stay, we were told that they had given away our reserved king size bed and room. So we had to select a different room with a queen sized bed only to get into the room and smelled mold/mildew with an air conditioning unit cycling on and off and not cooling the room. The room was not sanitary and smelled terrible. We had to leave and will never return.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Fun, cute decor. Staff was professional and friendly. Good location- walkable area downtown, easy access to highways and major thoroughfares. Parking charge was reasonable for a downtown location.
- 5/5
We stayed in the “Who You Gonna Call Suite” very Cute Room Would Stay again
- 5/5
Quirky and colorful. Beds comfy, great location.
- 5/5
great
- 5/5
No issues at all
- 3/5
Excellent people. Every person I interacted with was friendly and professional, including the people in the restaurant. The rooms left a lot to be desired. Most light switches didn’t work, the AC was loud and wimpy, the bathroom fan didn’t work, the shower didn’t drain properly, the toilet ran, and the coffee machine didn’t even make a half cup despite a full water reservoir.
- 5/5
The staff was great and offered good recommendations near the hotel for food.
- 4/5
Good & Convenient. Gym could use some additional machines.
- 5/5
The Curtis was a great place to stay in Denver; you are within walking distance of many places and food options. The area was safe, easily accessible by mass transit, and convenient for Uber to pick us up. The hotel staff were phenomenal, so friendly and helpful. We were there 10 days, which is a long time to stay anywhere, it felt really comfortable the whole stay.
- 2/5
The room is really neat and love the themes. However the shower is HORRIBLE. No water pressure at all and the only temperature is HOT. Also the bedding was dirty. We were so exhausted so we just stayed but rooms need some serious attention. Staff was all friendly and the location is great.
- 5/5
Clean with cute animal theme, very unique!
- 5/5
Room was excellent. Loved all the different themes.
- 3/5
Shower was terrible, not sure who decided to do the shower head in 1001 but absolutely annoying that was the main complaint and the room was probably the worst located next the elevators and sounded like the cleaning storage room. It was like a motel 6 but for almost 300 room with parking not a great deal probably won’t come back due to price and shower.
- 3/5
What I did not like and why I will not return… The elevators are a joke. They take forever as in don’t have a medical emergency or you’re screwed. We waited for the elevator for a long time EVERY time. One of them had a sign to not use it but it was still being used and went to every other floor before arriving at the correct one. The decor is pretty cheap and this is not a hotel I’d go to for a romantic evening. Very basic and strangely themed floors. You can tell it was created on a small budget. The refrigerators don’t work we had 2 rooms and need for insulin refrigeration which didn’t happen. Parking was $60 for 1 NIGHT!!! Our room was basically clean but I found trash in odd places. All in all an OK stay but I definitely will not go back.
- 3/5
It was fine but not a four star property.
- 5/5
It was amazing!! The 16th floor was so cool
- 2/5
Cold morning shower in mold lined shower. Had to scour the room to eventually find the remote under the bed. Upon checkout was sitting in the lobby waiting for my ride when management came over and asked if they could help me in a tone that implied I was a vagrant. Meanwhile there’s a lady changing her child’s diaper in the lobby. Better options in the area for the price.
- 3/5
For the price I would have expected a little better customer service
- 4/5
Hotel and staff are wonderful! Getting in the parking garage was simple but not many places to park. Through no fault of the hotel but definitely was a challenge there was a broken water pipe and had most the parking spots blocked off. Better signs for where to go in the garage but once you do it, it was easy. But from this non city gal it was a bit confusing at first. Already booking 2 more stays since the hotel and staff are so amazing!
- 4/5
Only two running elevators (out of five total) made for long wait times anytime you needed to go up or down. The floors in the common areas are quite worn down. The rooms area great, nice and clean, it’s time to replace the old noisy window AC units in the rooms, they’ve definitely seen better days! The staff was EXCELLENT!!!
- 5/5
Style
- 4/5
Our stay was enjoyable and they were friendly and helpful. The elevators could be a bit slow and taking the stairs could be tricky
- 4/5
Parking garage was sketch, and people parked horribly. Hard to fit in parking spaces. An entire section was full of furniture.
- 3/5
This placed used to be fun and great.. now its just ehh..
- 4/5
.
- 4/5
The property was very charming especially for families. Staff was amazing and very convenient. Only downside was slow elevator and pillows were not comfy. Would definitely stay here again!!
- 5/5
The hotel was awesome and the staff was helpful and friendly. There did seem to be a very long wait for the elevators everytime coming or going. A couple times we just took the stairs. But over all we loved it.
- 5/5
I always enjoy staying at the Curtis. It is close to the theater, shopping, food, and Ball Arena. The Office is a great restaurant on the premises. People are friendly, the room is clean, and the bed was comfy.
- 3/5
The hotel is centrally located to downtown Denver and within walking distance of restaurants and entertainment. The hotel room was clean and bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and always available to assist. The hotel is a tired and in need of some major renovations. The themed floors are not something that should draw a person to the hotel - essentially stickers on walls. The elevators are excruciatingly slow. Using the stairwells are not much better as they lead to a parkade and one is extremely dirty.
- 4/5
Everything was great with our stay the only issue we had from time to time is the handle for the shower wouldn't turn on hot water, even though we would get hot water at the sink.
- 5/5
Cutest hotel, and always so affordable for the experience.
- 3/5
It said on the website there was room service, there definitely wasn’t. Couldn’t pre order food at all, had to go down and get take out. Trying to call restaurant doesn’t work bc it only rings once so they can’t get to it in time to answer before it goes to voice mail. Shower was open so water got EVERYWHERE including staining the framed art. Shower made a terrible loud squealing noise the whole time it was on. Some parts of hotel were super cute, mostly looked like Walmart decals stuck to the walls. Elevators are small and slow, and staircase takes you outside the hotel so you have to walk around and go in the front to go in the lobby again. Can’t take stairs up from lobby. STAFF WAS EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT. Loved all of them. Nice to be able to charge snacks and soda to room quick and easy. Good stay but wouldn’t stay there again.
- 5/5
Awesome place. Staff is great
- 5/5
Funky and friendly
- 5/5
Our new favorite Denver hotel. Quirky and memorable while comfortable and modern. Staff was very welcoming and hospitable and took great care of my family. We made the easy walk to the museum of illusions nearby as well as a couple of local eateries. I wish we had stayed longer than one night, but we'll certainly look at this property first on our next visit.
- 4/5
Whoever was working the front desk the day I checked in was super friendly and accommodating. Makes a difference.
- 4/5
Dormitory style room - very little furniture
- 4/5
Not responsive to texts after texting to see if we needed anything. Keys kept not working and wouldn’t open door or garage. The air conditioning unit was incredibly noisy and hard to sleep with the sound. Hotel was otherwise quirky and cute. Bed was comfy. Good location.
- 4/5
We loved this hotel. Lobby had fun, cool decorations. Room was updated and fun as well. Only thing I could complain about was the parking garage gave us a ticket to pay to leave but staff had prepared us this would happen and we just had to call the front desk to get out without having to pay extra. Also, the hallway on our floor smelled strongly of marijuana but we could not smell it in our room thankfully. Hotel location was amazing! Had to walk our dog across the Performing Arts Center late at night to find some grass for her to do her business but we expected that when we booked a room downtown Denver. Overall, great hotel and friendly nice staff!! Even gave us cookies and water upon arrival!! Would stay again!!
- 5/5
So fun and whimsical!
- 4/5
Drawers would be better than cubbies
- 5/5
Great place. Great location
- 5/5
Hotel and features are dated but very clean. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Self-parking is a nice amenity.
- 4/5
One night stay. Check in was great and room was great but elevators were old and slow. Took forever to get anywhere.
- 4/5
Hotel was okay. Cute idea with the themed floors but didn’t love being on the LEGO/toy floor since I did not have children with me. Also not a fan of the self parking. For $45, I prefer a valet.
- 5/5
The Curtis is always a great hotel to stay at in Denver!
- 1/5
Worst of all was the service after the stay. I left several items of clothing on the top shelf of the cabinet. Per the rude front desk person I talked to on the phone, I submitted a claim on the Curtis website for the items. I provided the exact location, description (brands, sizes, colors, etc), of the items. It took them 2 weeks to get back and tell me that they were unable to find the items. I know with absolute certainty that the items were left in the room but apparently they went missing between when we left and when housekeeping made up the room. Overall, very unimpressed with the Curtis - rooms, service, etc. not good. There are a lot of other hotels in the downtown Denver area that would be a better option than the Curtis.

The most comfortable beds I think I have ever had at hotels and we travel for work often. The staff was really nice and the hotel was unique and fun. Definitely looking to book again when we return to Denver.

The staff at the hotel was AMAZING! They were super friendly and very helpful with many recommendations, directions, etc. our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of many landmarks and restaurants. It was a great location for our stay. My only complaint would be the long wait for the elevator, but that was due to one of them being out of service and it wasn’t that much of an inconvenience.

The elevator situation was horrible. Long waits. Over crowded elevators. Of the 4 on the property only 2 were operational. .any people were taking the stairs and key cards were not working in stairwell.

Fun hotel. A few minor nits: the drinking glasses in the room were dirty (but replaced when I pointed this out), and my room keys stopped working half way through the stay. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay.

Parking costs $45/night. It's better to park in the S and P parking near the theater a couple blocks away. ($22/night) Downtown is not a great place to walk around anymore so don't stay there if you plan on walking everywhere. There are some good places to eat nearby, but not enough to justify the walk and potentially getting acosted by the people that are having conversations with themselves. It's fine if you are in a group.

I wor flip flops into the shower and only took about a 5 minute shower and the water was up to my ankles The two other guests decided against a shower

Not my cup of tea. Very kitschy/corny decor. A/c was super loud and didn’t cool well. Bed was ok. Not sure why this hotel has such amazing reviews tbh. Oh and the gym may as well not exist - it looks creepy and abandoned

Great location and cool design with different floors representing different themes. Free coffee in the morning. Sam’s number three next-door, which is a great local restaurant, famous from the tv show Diners Drive ins and Dives.

Super friendly staff and very cute and playful atmosphere.

Good location and walking distance to many great restaurants and bars etc. nice staff. We reserved a corner room which was spacious and clean. We did out of an issue with the toilet, but they addressed it. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling and wants to be near their street or the convention center down there. Great pricing too.

Had a wonderful stay! Everyone was sooo friendly!!

Staff was super kind. The room was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. Even got a welcome gift of choc chip cookies. The only minor issue we had was we could not find the happy medium with the AC between cold and hot. I would certainly stay here again.

Best hotel I've ever been to. Everyone was so nice - including guests. Felt very inclusive and it was super fun to explore. Perfect location and the views were incredible. Anytime I'm in Denver, I will be staying here.

Elevators take forever and the hotel is old staff is nice. Location is good.

Every floor has a different theme - as was excitedly told to me by a little girl in the elevator when I arrived. The lobby has lots of creative sitting spaces (on the edge of a pool??). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the vibe of the whole place was an upbeat celebration of whimsy (tastefully done). My corner King Suite was amazing. Absolutely silent - I felt completely private. The bed was comfortable, the apps pre-loaded into the big screen TV were perfect. The carpeting and wall paper and chairs all had fantastical flourishes. Any opportunity the designers had to make something special - rather than basic - they took. And although the decor looked a little busy in the pictures, sitting in my room it just felt fun. There were so many little details in the room - a hook for towels was a winking smiley face. Even the complimentary wall mounted lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, were from quality brands that felt luxurious. This would be a fabulous hotel for both kids and adults who love to explore. Finally, the location was perfection. You’re only a few blocks from bustling Larimer street. There are plenty of great restaurants and shops, and you’re right across from the opera and other theatres. I’m so glad I chose this hotel

Great hotel, super cute! Just understand if you don’t specifically book a themed room, they are not all themed. But the non-themed rooms are cute. Hotel is very clean, quiet, right in the middle of everything. We parked at Independence Plaza two blocks away for $10, (it’s a very short and safe walk) versus $45 at the hotel garage. Found the spot on Spot Hero, nice safe, clean garage. We got the add on breakfast option and they give a voucher to take to the Corner Office which is attached to the hotel. You get an entree, juice and coffee included in the voucher. Entrees are $18-$22, coffee probably $2, juice probably $3 so you can calculate if it’s a good deal for you. We were also Hilton Honors members and got a $30 credit to use at Starbucks around the corner, The Corner office restaurant or the gift shop in the hotel lobby. Overall, great for a weekend getaway! It is an older building and more like an independent boutique hotel so if you are looking for a standard typical Hilton, this is not the place for you. But it’s great if you like unique.

Perfect location if you have tix at Buell or a downtown event: Great restaurant attached, nice amenities including free underground parking!

The property has a fun vibe and makes you feel welcome. The only thing that was not clean was the shower. Lots of mold and smelled.
