    This was a last minute idea that I regret. The front desk was rude though I understand the frustration probably came from the kids running around lobby or the ones lined up at the ONE microwave the hotel offers also in view of the lobby. The elevator is only working on one side and that one side takes forever to move. Unusual smells everywhere ESPECIALLY the third floor which has the only working ice machine. My room reeked of wet carpet and I found black mold behind AC unit. Stains all over couches.

    - [ ] 1 no breakfast just coffee. (Just rolls, cold cereal and juice would have been better than nothing) - [ ] 2 sleeper bed sheets were filthy . (Blood stains and God knows what else) - [ ] 3 we had to get our own towels and sheets because there was only one person at night and day. The housekeeping staff was mythical we never saw them until we were leaving. Requested twice to have the room cleaned . At least pickup the dirty linen and the trash nobody came - [x] 4 trash removal was nonexistent we have a toddler and an infant in diapers. We had to leave the trash near the can in the hall. Plus there was only one can in the room - [ ] 5 the security lock - [x] broken on the side door so we couldn’t use the room key to enter from the parking lot. - [ ] 6 had only one working elevator. - [x] 7 coffee maker had no pot - [ ] 8 ice maker did not work well ice would spill all over the floor because the front was broken and the ice just spilled out. - [ ] 9 there was an iron but. No board. - [ ] 10 the carpet was dirty just a hair better than tacky. We have used Sonesta before and were very pleased with them.

    I booked a one-night stay at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. After a 10-hour drive, I checked into my room, took two aspirin, and laid down to rest. I later woke up to find bugs crawling on me, on my drinks, on the bathroom sink, and throughout the room, including the walls. In addition, the air conditioner was not working. There was a sign stating that the temperature could be controlled by a wall-mounted thermostat, but there was no thermostat in the room.Alarmed by the bugs, I immediately gathered my belongings and son and went to the front desk. I explained the situation to the employee on duty and was told that because we had been in the room for too long, but I could email for a refund because there were no other room available and if we stayed we were not eligible for a refund. I asked if another room was available, and she initially stated that there were no available rooms. I also explained that we were in town for a event and needed access to a clean room so that we could shower and prepare for the event. The front desk rep then informed me that a guest had just checked out of another room and that we could go into that room to shower but if we did so we could not get a refund. When I asked whether the room had been cleaned, she stated that it had not. She further explained that we could not stay or sleep in the room, but we could shower but would not get a refund if we did. we slept in the car still no refund yet

    The beds were not properly made. We had a room with a sofa bed that had no sheets, and there were no blankets available for either the sofa bed or the king bed. When I requested two blankets, a set of sheets, and an additional pillow, I was only given a top sheet, one very flat pillow, and one blanket. When I asked again for a second blanket, I was told there were none available and the person insisted that there was one the king bed—there wasn’t, just two top sheets folded together. The room itself was fairly clean, but there was only one trash can and none in the bathroom. The sofa bed is awful, a bar right through your back and super noisy. The hallway had a bad smell with lots of trash built up in the corner by the elevators both when we arrived and even more the next day when we left. Additionally, there was a loud, repetitive mechanical noise throughout the night that made it difficult to sleep. Also, no breakfast, which wasn't very clear in the booking and they had the room set up for it. This should be made clear. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, and I would not stay here again.

The carpet was just disgusting to the point I told my kids not to take their shoes off. We went to do the pull out couch and the bed was moldy. There was a dirty washcloth in the closet. The fridge was broken and had water all over the bottom and was filthy. Only one elevator worked, and it took 5 minutes or more just to get the elevator to you. We tried to see about getting a different room but the staff was rude and told us there was nothing they could do. I would not recommend staying here with children.

    This is an okay place to stay if you aren't bothered by a musty smell and older furniture. Unfortunately, the shower wasn't cleaned properly, as there was hair from the previous guest left on the floor. The rug was torn in a few spots, and the area near the shower was damp. Additionally, the couch was quite dirty. It was just too much for me, so I checked out after only one night of my planned two-night stay.

    Do not waste your money. The first room smelled like mildew, the TV had the wrong remote, and the Wi-Fi doesn't work so basically your in a technological dead zone. The carpeting in the hallway is ripped. The ottoman in the room had cigarette burns on it. I called the front desk 3 times and no one ever picked up so I called the outside number and sure enough the man answered so clearly he was ignoring the guests calls. He came up and tried the TV, then agreed that it was the wrong one, said they don't have any more for the smart TV and said the WiFi doesn't work when there are a lot of guests. I had to leave the room to pick up my wife and wanted to put a me water bottles in the fridge but when I opened it up the smell was gross and it wasn't working (what a shock). I told the same man at the desk on my way out. When we got back he offered to move us to a different room, which we gladly accepted. When we shifted rooms, the new tv didn't work at all, the carpeted floor was soaking wet by the bed and when I tried to call, the phone in the room didn't work. I just gave up at that point. The sad part is, we've stayed in this hotel a few times and it was always great. When we left I let the morning person know what we experienced and all she said was "I'll let maintenance know about the water". No apology, no offer of a refund, nothing. Not sure if there is new ownership or not, but this was brutal. Buyer beware...

    The pool was closed, the gym seemed stocked but I didn’t use any of the machines. only one elevator worked and it took forever to come. The hallway and stairs smelled of urine. The light cover literally fell off the wall above the sink as I was in the rest room. It was quiet and very close to shopping.

    The worst hotel ever. Do not stay here. Customer service horrible. No sheets pillows or blankets for pull out. Smallest pillows on king bed. Did not have the room booked.     Th room had a bad smell but the property is much better than expected. You won’t get an answer when you call the front decal, but it’s not a bad property at all. I’m a single guy so the loud people in the hall and nearby room don’t bother me. But may have for a family with small kids. It’s worth it for the price.

    The receptionist was polite and professional during check-in. What didn’t you like about the property? The overall facility does not match the photos shown on the website. The rooms are not clean and appear outdated. While I was checking in, I noticed other guests checking out due to cleanliness issues. If I hadn’t just driven nine hours and been extremely tired, I would have chosen to stay somewhere else.

    I didn’t know breakfast was provided They only had one luggage cart and every time I needed it it was not available and I had to wait almost 2 hours for one today. The one they do have they lock up in a room. I feel like they need more carts. Also, the toilet was running nonstop and every day I had to get my key reset, and I don’t know why because I didn’t have it near anything purposefully. Overall, it was a great day I would go back. Thank you :-)

    I don’t even feel like this hotel deserves a star, cause that would mean it would even deserve the one star. The stay was overall about as bad as it could get. When we came in we had issues getting into our room. I accidentally had the name autofilled with my surname and on that I’ll admit was my fault, but the man at the desk stated it wasn’t his problem and continued to be on his phone playing games. Was absolutely no help. Also later when we walked down the receptionist was sitting in the lobby playing on his phone once more. The room was in poor condition, the fridge will freeze everything, shower was constantly leaking and would quickly flood, ended up having to shower at a AirBnB with another person who was at the convention we were heading to. Light switch in bathroom was falling apart. Door lock was broken entering the room. Light closest to the bed was broken. When we were heading down to the lobby the elevator going down was busted as if someone had punched it overnight. Just felt like we had to keep one eye open while we slept. We felt very unsafe and will NEVER stay there again.

    Yes, there was no room curtain in the window to hide the outside lights. This was our second room. The first room had a roach on the wall, not good. Your hotel is in bad repair. Even one elevator was not working. The hallway light was out making it hard to see the door. What else would you like to know, the bed was good. We will find a better hotel next time.

    Earlier that day, my friend who was also staying at the hotel went to the front desk at 4:45 pm to ask questions on my behalf. I was also on the phone at that time making sure the payment method was correct and letting them know I was on my way. At 1:59 pm, I even texted the property to confirm that my arrival would be between 9:30 pm and 10 pm. Despite this, when I arrived at 9:25 pm, I was told my reservation was canceled because they supposedly called me at 6 pm and received no answer. That is completely false. At that time, I was traveling all the way from North Carolina, and no call came through to my phone. This situation was unacceptable and caused unnecessary stress and hardship.

    Horrible stay all I can say is that you all false advertised. It was unsafe with the amount of police that was there daily nothing worked internet didn’t wrk I missed wrk from my 2-3 week stay there was no breakfast or dinner like stated only a microwave in the lobby.     Since we arrived at the hotel nothing worked. The internet didn’t work I’ve told them several times I’m a remote employee people stated that the WiFi worked on first floor it still didn’t work. So I missed DAYS of work. Not to mention the refrigerator didn’t work so our food spoiled. We’re homeless no one wanted to give us our money back we were only credited 50$. Which is unacceptable and unfortunate. We were moved to first floor and internet still didn’t work. The police was here everyday I mean every single day. I have 3 kids and our safety was in jeopardy again we should get our monies back on our gift cards and the difference I had to pay

    While the customer service was on point and I love the fact they take in our annoying fur babies. But a lot of things didn’t work TV which is extremely important WiFi if you have to work or just don’t have the data. The refrigerator didn’t work also.     There was no breakfast as advertised. No dining available. No telephone service. Fitness center ill equipped most machines not working, room needed cleaning. In addition to paying the amount for the facility for 3 nights, was told at the front desk i had to pay an additional $50.00 which would be refunded. To date i have not received the refund, and efforts to reach them by phone has been futile. Would appreciate your assistance. If not successful will seek recourse. Thanks. No public transporting.

    Staff is okay but their room service staff aren’t doing their job. There were only three towels when I first entered the room then on third day, I asked for just couple more towels since I was staying for 5 nights and they never left me any towels. What really disturbed me was that they left an evidence of entering my room by placing which chalk markings all around the inside of the door then also smeared much of same chalk makings all over the outside of the door as well yet room cleaning staff never left me with not a single towel nor cleaned the room for my entire stay which was five nights. I really don’t care about not cleaning the the room but deliberately entering my room to leave the evidence makings on the door inside and out then not have decency to leave me with what I requested which was just couple of towels was unforgivable because their gesture was purposefully driven to taunting me. These people should be sued by every legal capacity.

    Avoid this place at all costs. It is we'll on its way to being a trap house. There was dog turds in the stairwells that had petrified becaus r it had been thete so long. There were roaches in my shower. The elevator does not work properly and is a safety hazard. There was garbage left for days in the hallways. It smelled musty and dirty.

    I like the price, especially considering the area (Duluth), the timing (the fall festival), and also the last-minute booking on my part (about a week in advance). So I do appreciate the fact that the room was available… But I do believe it is advertised that they have breakfast, and I did not see that in the morning on either of the two days that I stayed. Also, when I checked in, there was a pair of dirty underwear in my room that I had to dispose of before I could settle in properly, which also caused me to scrutinize my room even more than I normally do. Some of the interior of the room was damaged and out of date, and the air conditioner wouldn’t really blow cold or change fan speed. Overall, I probably wouldn’t book here again unless I desperately needed to be in Duluth and that was the only thing available or I didn’t have enough money. Decent enough stay, but wouldn’t stay again.

    it was an ok hotel. they don’t offer breakfast, there are constantly people outside just hanging around the hotel at all hours of the night. the room had an odor to it kind of musty, the elevator was slow and one of them didn’t work. i stayed for 5 days and i noticed a bug on my last night there. the staff doesn’t communicate and the housekeeping doesn’t seem to come pick up the trash every 3 days as they tell you they would.

    Property was not clean at all. Staff was very rude. I spoke with Hanley to end my stay early but I never seen the cancellation so I called the next day to make sure and my stay was never ended. He said I had to pay for the night before because it was never cancelled and there was nothing he could do. He was the same person I spoke to both days. So I asked to speak to his manager and he laughed and said “I can tell him to call you but he likely won’t.” Then hung up on me. THE worst experience I’ve ever had.

    When I first drove up to the property, I noticed that there were people wandering around the parking lot. It was a late check-in for me, after 9pm. The pictures on their site are either from other Sonesta locations or are very old. The lobby area was nice, but the room needed some repairs and the carpet needed a good cleaning. I had to check out around 3am to to the airport to drop my rental and make my 6am flight. I head to the car and put my carry-on in the trunk and as I get in, this man comes out of nowhere from behind and to the left of me, waving at me as if he wanted to say something to me. Mind you, as I was leaving the hotel, there was no one in the parking lot. I guess the look on my face told him everything he needed to know and he kept walking past my car away from the hotel entrance and disappeared to the other side of the through some tree lined area. No security present at all!

    Only one elevator working. The Shower head was dysfunctional. No microwave and only one trashcan in a suite sized room. The bar of soap had a big bite mark in it. Sink drain had to be unplugged. Very dated facility and rooms need upgrade. Bathroom door had to brush against the toilet seat to open. no ice machine on the 5th floor.

    We stayed one night at the Sonesta. Staff was friendly but the issues are with the hotel itself. Only one working elevator that was very slow. Trash bins were always full and overflowing in the hallways. Dirty towels in the hallway. Most of the outlets in the room did not work. There also seemed to be loitering and loud people outside most of the night making it difficult to sleep (it was past midnight). The microwave in the lobby was out of service and there was not one in the room.

    The location was the best feature. Property’s rooms were dated and not very clean to my disappointment. Our room (215) was non smoking however previous guests had been smoking & you could see cigarette burns in carpet. Carpet needs deep cleaning smell like musk. No microwave or coffee maker. Closet door glass was cracked. Only 1 elevator worked. Staff was okay. We were told we could not get extra towels. Buttons on air conditioners did not work so we could not adjust air.

    The rooms are mediocre level clean at best and they don’t even try to make anything right when they wrong you! (I.e broken AC or a lack of towels in the room). The lobby looks clean but the further into the hotel you go you realize it’s dirty, smells funny, and only one elevator works! However, people were smoking weed around the hotel installations and the smell was all over the hallway. I’ve made several reservations with Expedia for years and this is the worst experience ever. I can’t believe Expedia advertises this hotel on its website. I will never ever go back or recommend this hotel. Additionally, they didn’t even give me a receipt. If I see a weird charge on my credit card , I will dispute it . Stay away from this hotel, go somewhere else !

    As soon as we opened the door to our room there was this awful smell. Like mold and sweat and water. There were blood stains by the couch, the sheet on the pull out was dirty, and we killed 2 cockroaches in our room. My toddler also found food that was not ours in a corner of our room. We had a 12-hour day of travel and this was not what I wanted to bring my kids too. We will never stay at Sonesta again.

    This is a not a great stay, spin arrival card was charged several times during our stay, house keepers did not speak good English or non at all, staff slow at getting trash daily, hallways has a stitch on the third floor, issues with tv not working properly, glad it was pet friendly, but not so great- needs lots of improvements to staff and interior

    The first room that I was given..the door didn’t lock when I left the room. I notified the front desk and was told that it would be addressed. When I returned, all my items that I left in the room were gone, the beds were made and the door still didn’t lock. I notified the desk and was asked why I didn’t tell them about the lock. They looked in their communication book and saw that it was reported but nothing they Could do. I asked for another room , that had a door that locked behind me. No further incidents for the remainder of my stay. I would never sty at this establishment again.

    We did not enjoy our stay at all. Do much so we checked out early. Did not want to spend another night. If you are a family of 5 and get a room that sleeps 5, dont do it. No bath towels, no microwave, the bathroom is a broom closet, the door kept hitting the toilet it was so small. The sink was outside the bathroom. How do the expect you take a shower with a hand towel. Horrible.

    Prices are great for the size rooms . The only thing is they dont do breakfast when they have an area and the microwave is in lobby. I would suggest the provide microwaves in rooms with the refrigerator and serve maybe sack breakfast

    We styed for 4 days and ask for towels one time and they only give us one towel. Television didnt work ask to get fix but they never did. Smells like Marijuana on the inside of the hotel i understand that they can control what guest do on the rooms but they could spray some thing to kill the smell and i havent got my security deposit back yet

    Rooms smell so bad. The elevators and door are marked up and soiled. The carpet in the room dirty. Bed was clean. I left the same night I checked in, because of the smell.
