DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Raleigh - Durham

Our room was very clean and spacious with a bedroom and a living area/kitchen area. We had the room cleaned once during our stay and they did a great job. The pool area is very nice and there is a nice walking path and lake as well. I used the work out area every day and it is well maintained. It was being cleaned one day when I was getting there. It is very convenient to the highway and has a few restaurants and a coffee shop close by.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious. I was offered a warm cookie as soon as I got there! It was a great stay.

My stay at double tree suites by Hilton was decent. The lake and pool view from the balcony was beautiful. Not to mention the balcony was huge!! For the size they should have had way more furniture than just two chairs and a small side table. The paddle boats were great! It was $8 for 30 min or $10 for an hour. The breakfast buffet was great for $16.95 and you can also order off the menu. Staff members were great. I would stay here again if I were in the area again. My only issue that I noticed while looking over my room before leaving was that spider webs were behind the curtains to the balcony that had a huge black widow spider. That freaked me out a little but overall the hotel was great.

Nanette made my stay remarkable. She's the van driver, but when ever I needed something she was ready willing and able. No ask was too big for her, she truly went above and beyond.

Loved it in the middle of everything

This was a beautiful hotel and I enjoyed the view and my stay. My only complaint was that I was booked at the end of the 5th floor and the AC was not working in the hallway where my room was located.

Always stay here when I come to Durham.

Cleanliness and friendliness of staff.

I cannot express adequately enough how helpful the staff is at the Doubletree. The front desk manager, Doc went over and above in his assistance to me while I was staying at the hotel. The evening bartender was incredibly courteous and made delightful cocktaills.

Property is under construction. We were not informed. Bathroom drainage was awful. Toilet was poor at best. Faucets popped right off.

Well, the state at Doubletree was very nice. There are some updates that are needed. There are some broken chairs out by the pool and the complementary cookies out of the oven did not taste that great. They are a very generous thought. Just not very tasty.

Beautiful walking trail nearby. One elevator broken, long wait for the other. Staff member sent me outside to take the stairs but that door was locked from the outside. Do not get an accessible room, you will hear the working elevator squeak all night. Hall smelled like mildew. Room was very clean and spacious.

So I came back in my room door was wide open this morning around 8:30. I guess the housekeeper must’ve went in but my checkout is not until 11 AM so why would they leave my door open and I the longest were still in there this is a very poor experience and I did not like your.

Hotel is starting to be remodeled but it is definitely on the older side right now. Inside pool was open and clean, staff was friendly. I would stay for one night again if I was passing through but that would be it.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. I appteciated the daily cleaning services. Greeted with a warm cookie was wlecoming and free coffee in the mornings was and extra delight. Definitely worth it and we will be back. Hopefully all the storage tanks will be gone next time.

The tub wouldn’t drain

Te property is in a scenic, quiet location but also very convenient to I-40 and both Raleigh and Durham. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and modern. The bathroom and hall carpets could use a little updating and the gym facility is nice but equipment is a bit worn and some of it needs replacing. Overall this is a really nice hotel with great amenities and one of the nicest and most helpful staffs you will ever meet!

Staff was not helpful. They just handed me the keys with no information and did not acknowledge that I was a Hilton Honors member. There were several gatherings in the parking lot just outside the hotel late at night.

Didn’t care for the shower…handle was shaky and hard to control the water temperature. Otherwise my stay was ok.

The room was very spacious and clean. Plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. Loved the little kitchen area. The one complaint we had is that we arrived nearly an hour after check in , had pre checked in on the app and our room still wasn’t ready. We waited about another 20 min before it was. Which wasn’t horrible just didn’t make sense.

When you enter you’re met with great energy and smiling faces. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is fresh and the large windows gives you a Great Lake view while enjoying your meal. The rooms are spacious and clean. I will book this hotel every Durham visit.

This was one of the greatest stays I’ve ever had. The staff was incredible- so kind and loving toward me and my children.

Room was fine, the guy refused until it was too late to drive me to the airport because of the weather... I get it, but that was why I choose the hotel... He then offered when I had already called an Uber. Uber was $30 times 2! So get something closer! This is 3 miles more than the closer hotels.. Made a difference for cost.

The hotel worked pretty well for us, but the table in our room did not have the top attached correctly and it fell off onto one of us in a dangerous way. The bed had lost some of its support and was not that comfortable, and one of the sheet sets had some small stains on it. It was a bummer they didn't have a free breakfast, but we knew that going in. Everything else was good though and the suite-style room worked well for our trip.

My family and I stayed at the double tree at Hilton and it was okay. The kids enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed the gym. The only downfall of the trip was the room it was so hot and we did not even know if the room was getting any colder. That was about it really. Other then that the stay was enjoyable.

Our stay was pleasant. The rooms are clean and had many options available to us (refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, etc.). The staff was also pleasant. The only issue we came across was the smell outside of the hotel as it smelled a bit like sewage.

Great hotel. We have stayed at a lot of really iffy hotels near airports that had good reviews that didn't pan out. This was NOT one of those. So nice! Clean and comfortable. The pool was awesome and with a kiddo, that is a big deal. Close to the airport.

Staff were friendly and welcoming upon arrival and check-in was smooth. I was extremely pleased with the size of the room and layout. We had a view that overlooked the pool and pond area which we saw had pedal boats. Parking was easy, it was quiet, guests were respectful. Would highly recommend and definitely plan on staying here again on our next trip.

Looks a bit dated on the outside but lovely inside with great amenities. And the restaurant has the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Issues we had included that our door to our room was wonky, and the AC would blow on the bed like a wind tunnel. Also, the toilet by the pool overflowed .. which was gross.

The room was beautiful and excellent condition for the pricing. The building itself seems a little bit rundown, the staff was so so, not the friendliest. But they did let us check in an hour early. The room itself is beautiful and it made it worth the stay as well as a lot of accommodations available, that we did not get to use. We were sad to leave the room so soon. Thank you!

We were very disappointed in the size of the mattress, the coldness and dampness of the room and the lack of any iutensils dishes, glasses or even dishrags in the kitchen area.

James at the front desk was amazing from a long drive of travel. He gave us the best warm cookies you could have & water to wash it down! Considering we were there for a funeral he definitely brought big smiles. Thank you

Our stay was decent, however, a few draw backs. The suite had a sofa bed, there were pillows in the closet but no sheets or blanket and the ironing board was broken. All else was comfortable.

All good except for a noisy room (which the front desk resolved with a room change) and having no power for 4 hours and counting.

When we checked in on Friday, James was at the front desk. He welcomed us with a big smile. He was so friendly and helpful. The only complaint was we azked the housekeeping staff to come back later and they didn't. We had to request our room be attended to on Sunday.

The room was clean and comfortable and the fitness center was well-maintained with nice equipment and free weights. The only real downside of this property is that it is very dated. The carpeting in the hallways was worn and pulling up at the seams.

I will definitely stay here again. I stayed three nights, and I was on the first floor, not too far from the lobby and the dining, and even though I was that close, there was very little disruption with voices or noises. It’s so quiet at night and peaceful. The indoor and outdoor pools are terrific, and the housekeeping services are outstanding. I made sure to leave them a nice tip. The rooms were immaculately clean. Thanks so much for a great trip.

We arrived to a hotel without power - this was not the fault of the hotel (there were terrible storms) - however the person at the counter acted like he wasn’t checking me into a hot dark building with a flashlight - when I asked what alternatives were in the area he ignored me and asked if I preferred the first floor over walking up to the reserved fifth floor room - I was so exhausted I didn’t even comprehend that he acted like it was normal - my kids and I sat in a dark room for 4 hours in 100 degree weather before the power and air came back

I actually called before i booked & inquired about amenities and was told everything was available. I get there and its like 2 parties booked. All amenities were unavailable including the lake for the entire day. The staff seemed frustrated & very busy. I wasn't even greeted when i came in. I couldn't get my hilton honors rewards added. It was just alot going on there that weekend. It would have helped if guest knew because i probably would have chosen a different hotel. The amenities were the main reason i booked this location.

Lovely lake around the property for taking a walk. The hotel itself is old and worn. It’s seen better days. Comfortable, clean beds but the rooms and common areas seem to have a lot of wear and tear. The parking lot was full of potholes and smokers. Always appreciate the warm cookies though.
