Friendly staff, clean room and spacious.

Staff were extremely rude. There was a huge power outage in the area. And they were not very accommodating at all. And very rude to anyone trying to see if there was any way to reimburse anything. The cleaning staff was the only helpful staff with anything..

This hotel was very very clean. Staff was also nice. Parking was good. I loved the security feature of needing your room key to operate the elevator. Although we didn’t use the casino, They do have a shuttle bus on the property to take you to/from the casino and parking lot. The location is very convenient. Located near a ton of stores. Overall I enjoyed my stay and plan to stay again.

Surprisingly perfect for a family stay! We needed a last minute room for a tournament on a holiday weekend. The price was 50% then other properties in the area and the location couldn’t have been better. I like that the hotel is separate from the casino since we had kids with us. From the moment we walked it, very pleasant, clean and easy experience! Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay here. It's across the parking lot from the casino which isn't a problem because it's a short walk or they have a bus to pick you up for free. The room was very clean amd the staff was very friendly.

I didn’t like that they charged me more than my agreed upon Expedia charge. There was no recourse. They wouldnt even discuss it or explain why it was more. This is the first time I have used Expedia so not sure what to expect.

Room was good, but not great for a casino hotel. Coffee was terrible and no selection of teas in the morning. Hot water was not hot for tea. Staff not helpful and not friendly at all. Restaurant in the casino was good, but not great. No wine selection. Our server was very accommodating. I’d probably not stay here again, but it was a good value.

Overall, everything was good. There was a loud ticking sound in the room for about 40 seconds every time the AC kicked off.

Great getaway

The hotel room was clean. We thought the casino was rather busy for a Sunday night, but the 1st and 3rd floors weren’t as crowded. We were still able to play whatever machines we wanted to! Parking was fine for the casino and the hotel. The only thing I would note is that the hotel entrance wasn’t marked very well. We weren’t sure where to go when we first arrived. Otherwise great experience!!

Over all the place was clean and the room was nice. Main complaint is the rooms are paper thin. You can hear every conversation that is happening on that floor.

Sheets had stains, room smoke smell from room below and stains on floor kn room and bathroom.

Overall the property was adequate. It has a small refrigerator but lacks a freezer and a microwave. It had a large closet but only five hangers for two people. The bar is open on the weekends only. All of the restaurants are at the casino. No review of the fitness center, I never located it.

It is a very good location for the casino and other amenities in the Peoria area. Fair price and safe area. Parking close to hotel was very limited Saturday night.

The young lady that checked us in could have been more accommodating and helpful, rather than sheepishly asking for our information. Overall it was a nice stay.

Overall, our stay was good. The only complaint I have is updating the rooms with more outlets to plug in all the technology most people travel with. My wife and I had cellphones and work laptops but the room did not have enough plugs for charging while we worked. The rooms were clean and casino restaurants were only a short walk across the parking lot. I enjoyed my visit and look forward to returning soon.

As always, the hotel is the place to stay. I wish they offered an on-site breakfast area like most hotels of this caliber do. There is a shuttle to the boat for Tin Lizard for a good meal and a steak place. The deli is a quick snack place. There is a refrigerator in rooms which is always good.

Great casino, basic room

Everything was great with the exception of the lady at the front desk who checked us in. She was absolutely the rudest person ever and should not be working with people. I've never complained about an employee of a hotel before. Everything else was great but wouldn't stay again unless she is gone. No reason to be rude to guests

My hotel room had a running heating or AC unit that sounded like a bath being drawn at full blast. Very difficult to get some sleep. Also, per the front desk person, the hotel was literally OUT OF COFFEE in the morning!!

The room was clean but the bathroom ceiling had flaking paint and the shower had some sand and small pebbles on the floor of it. I did not like the fact that there was no place to eat in the hotel. In order to get food I had to walk across the parking lot to the casino. The hotel was in desperate need of a makeover.

The hotel is older but the room was great. We ate at the bar and it was really good and the service was great.

There is no pool. There are no jacuzzi rooms to upgrade to. There is no free breakfast. The exercise room was locked. Suite rooms are reserved for casino whales. All in all, the room was clean and nice and the people were nice, but amenities were lacking.

On the final night, we were informed that the HVAC unit serving the room had a stuck valve and was not functioning properly. At that point, we were offered the option to switch rooms, but given it was the last night and late in the stay, relocating was not practical. What is particularly concerning is that the system in the room is an Automated Logic building automation thermostat, which is centrally monitored. This means the hotel had the ability to see that the room temperature was consistently outside a reasonable comfort range and that the equipment was malfunctioning. Despite this, we were allowed to remain in a room that did not provide basic climate control for the entirety of our stay.

The room was very nice and check-in was fast. Getting to the internet was fairly easy. My only suggestions would be vending machines that have snacks in them. I got back late and hadn't eaten and thought I would order room service and there wasn't any available. I could have went downstairs and went to casino, but I walk slowly with a cane and it was 2 degrees. I looked in the lobby and 2 floors and could not find any food, plus there was no coffee in the lobby. Ended up going 21 hours without eating.

Clean room, but every hour or so the there was some very loud knocking sound from the HVAC. Slept awful for 2 days

The room was clean and staff very friendly. The air freshener in the rooms and hallways smelled good but was very strong. I'm guessing its to cover the strong weed smell that was everywhere. Please consider putting fans in bathrooms, the ceiling paint was peeling. Super comfy pillows!

Loved our stay. Felt very safe because you had to scan your hotel key card to get the elevator to go up to your floor!! Felt very safe that the elevator wasn’t just publicly open to anyone who walks in. More hotels should follow suit!!! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in town!

Parking was easy. Upon check-in, I explained to the clerk that we were new in the area and asked where the restaurant was. She waved down the hall as it turns out actually, it’s down the hall and across the street. When I had a follow up question, the clerk never even came out of the back room. She just talked from her desk there. The restaurant service at the casino was so bad we ended up leaving. Other customers were distraught with the service level as well. Based on the front desk experience and the restaurant I would not recommend this hotel

There is no breakfast or any place to have or to buy a muffin or something to eat

This hotel and Casino is not a convienient one stop hotel. The casino is not attached to the hotel and not within walking distance. Room is clean there is not a bar or place to eat in the hotel. We were told upon check in the only amenity open the next would be the casino no food in the casino restaurant because of a winter storm warning yet it had not even started to snow at that point. It may be an Illinois road plowing and salting issue to be that sure. BTW we had only coffee to drink the vending machine on our floor jammed our purchase and the company 800 number for refund never responded to my complaint. Probably will never stay here on our way back home.

Everything about the stay was great except the noise. Our heater made a horrible loud rattling sound every 30-45 minutes that woke us up during the night. Also, Saturday we could hear our neighbors talking and laughing after 2am which also kept us up.

House cleaning needs to be checked behind. Cleaning multiple surfaces with dirty water such as mirrors, bathroom counters, desk and side table. My last 2 visits have shown a noticeable difference. It’s all about the detail.

The room was ok. And we appreciated that management accommodated our request for adjoining rooms at the last minute. But the hotel smells of smoke the minute you walk in the front doors, as did our rooms smell of cigarette smoke. Being we are non-smokers, this was very noticeable to us.

The parking lot smelled like "weed". The first room smelled like cigarette smoke covered up by air freshener. Due to a history of asthma, we asked for a new room which had a stronger smell of air freshener than the smoke it was covering up. We did not ask for a 3rd room but knew we would not return to this hotel again. The refrigerator was not cold even though it was set at the coldest temp & had frost built up in it. We asked for the VIP access since we received an email from hotels.com reminding us to do so. They had no idea what we were talking about. A disappointing visit.

Parking lot had an intense smell

Was not thrilled with amenities, absolutely could NOT check in until 3, 1 of the ladies at the front desk was a bit abrupt and rude, no place to get coffee at 8 am unless you wanted to go on the boat.

Checking in was weird. The check-in time was 4pm. We were early so we decided to see if the room was ready. We got to the check-in counter at 2:53pm and they said they have a $25 early check-in fee for any time prior to 3pm. We decided to wait the 7 minutes. We unloaded and I parked the car and then checked in at 3pm! There were about 5 other groups also waiting for the 3pm check-in in time. Since the hotel is right on the river, you may experience evening swarming of Mayflies. They are attracted to lights and light colors. They are harmless, but did freak out some people. See the picture. The bar in the lobby did not appear to be open. At least it was closed at 10:30pm on a Saturday night. We had a nice stay and I would recommend it.

I was really pleasantly surprised with how nice the property and room were— I thought it may be a little run down given it’s a casino hotel, but it is clean, quiet and really nice. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was amazing, beautifully decor and very comfortable. The only complaint was the resteraunt in the casino. Terrible service.

I've stayed in a few other casino hotels and they were just ok. The Par A Dice was better than the others- very clean, roomy, very comfy bed and pillows. Everything was so fresh and fresh smelling, which I don't find very common. Truly a breath of fresh air. Plus, a really great view of the rive!!

After traveling 1500 miles we got into town at 230pm, we were allowed to check in early. Housekeeper Candy was more than helpful finding me a thinner pillow on day 2! Room was clean and well appointed.

We were in town for the Bradley University graduation weekend and Par-a-Dice was more reasonably priced than where we normally stay. We were not sure what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and inviting. The lobby was very nice and we even had a family game night in one of the seating areas. The room was very clean and comfortable.

We came to the area to visit our daughter and family. We've never stayed here and I don't know why! A view of the river, very safe area, walking distance to the Casino and restaurants. Only wish the little lobby lounge would have been open. Other than that the stay was perfect! Definitely will be back!

It was a very pleasant experience for us. The hotel receptionist customer service was excellent! The room was large, clean, and smelled good! Thanks for your great hospitality.

Property was very nice. Only issue I had was , we had a room with 2 beds per request, but sheets in one bed were so rough and stiff ( maybe brand new) they could have stood up by themselves, and I literally could not use the bed with those sheets.

Had booked 2 queens and were given a single. Staff remedied the situation quickly.

The hotel was extremely nice! Our room was very clean and had a great view! The staff was all friendly and helpful and even though we were close enough to walk to the casino, the hotel offered a shuttle! I would definitely stay here again!

Staff was courteous and friendly. However this visit had many people congregating in the hallways at 2am and then later at 3:30. Not sure what even was being held but it wasn’t the most pleasant night of sleep.

Overall it was a decent stay. We didn't feel the staff was overly customer focused. Very cut and dry encounter at check in. We even found someone's ear pod and took it to the desk. The agent didn't really say hardly anything, just took it and went about her business. A little friendly customer interaction goes a long way because our first impression was "no one cares and dont ask any questions. " Other than that, room was clean, hotel grounds well kept, easy walk to casino.

I would give it 5 stars but the bar onsite was closed . No breakfast available. Otherwise nice hotel , great Thin Lizard restaurant with live music and good food . Very good drinks .
