Great parking, clean rooms Room was smaller than expected
- 5/5
This hotel has had an extraordinary renovation. The room was well designed and furnished. There was nothing missing that a guest would need to use. Everything was easy to find and use. Easy walking distance to Emeryville Amtrak Station. I will stay at this chain again if they are all like this. I couldn't find anything to criticize!

Room was clean, staff friendly, bar was great

every thing is good no comments
- 2/5
We picked this location because they had a bar. Bar was shut down, which was a huge disappointment. Also the front desk was very rude when asked questions. We had four guest and we only received two breakfast tickets, when asked for the other two staff was said no you only get two. Another reason why we chose this hotel was due to breakfast included. When getting breakfast there was only 2 staff members working. waited an hour for our food and asked if if we can get the food boxed to take up stairs to share the food with our girls , we were told no. So attempted to carry a heavy try up to our room with 2 bad shoulders. Overall was very disappointed in serves due to being short staffed.

Staff rude. Bad neighborhood bar closed on weekends. Lock doors for safety at 9am Food reheated by bartender
- 1/5
Staff rude. It’s in a bad neighborhood- to the point where they lock the doors at 9pm. The bar is only one person who actually cooks the food in the back. Ridiculous. AND bar is not open on weekends. What?!?

Breakfast was ok, not very filling. But staff very nice. We loved the lotion in the room for our dry, travel-weary skin! Thx! Hot tub closed too early for late train? Early hot tub closure.

Location was close to Emeryville train station. Convenient location to bridge and city access.

Comfortable and easy Nothing
- 5/5
I picked it for the location and was not disappointed. Close to shopping, eating, and other activities. Four Points was great. Only thing I didn’t like, though Four Points had no control over, was the nearby Denny’s. Terrible place. So close for walking to breakfast but dirty, smelled, ugh.
- 5/5
Our stay was great. Only one side of the elevator was functioning and that was the only down side. Recommend to anyone.
- 4/5
Everything was very good and servers were polite
- 3/5
The area felt pretty safe, though there was a homeless person yelling outside on Monday morning for a little bit. But otherwise it seemed fine. This hotel is a short walk away from the mall area and was very convenient. Also only about a twenty minute Lyft ride to The Greek Theatre in Berkeley. The shower was also very nice. They have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles attached to the shower wall, and all smell very good.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice facilities. Close to bus stop for public transportation to San Francisco. Complimentary parking as well.
- 5/5
Good clean room. EV charging. Great location opposite shopping center.
- 5/5
I liked that this property has free parking and the rooms are clean. The staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Stayed there multiple times. Always spic & span, quiet, good staff, convenient
- 5/5
What a great stay. The room was clean and nice. Beds were comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
While the outside might look a bit worn, don’t judge a book by its cover. The interior of this hotel has been renovated and is in great shape. Staff is attentive and helpful. Complimentary coffee in the AM in the lobby area by the bar. There’s a gym on premise - not the best but enough to get a good workout in while traveling. Also, free parking - we were going to stay in Hyatt House / Hyatt Place (there’s both of these in the neighboring area) but you have to pay extra for parking, which is silly to be given it’s not in the city city. Room is great and spacious as well. Again, it looks renovated and we had no complaints staying here and would stay here again as it’s a cost effective option that’s close to SF and also Berkeley and Oakland. I’d highly recommend this hotel!
- 5/5
Clean room , friendly staff , would stay again
- 5/5
Staff was pleasant, helpful and welcoming. Loved the location-- near Amtrak station and food mart. Enjoyed prepared breakfast as opposed to greasy bacon buffet. Overall pleasant stay.
- 5/5
The room was very clean, comfy bed, good shower. The staff is very professional and accommodating. Property in great shape. Very convenient to shopping, restaurants.
- 4/5
Clean room. Clean facility
- 4/5
Hotel is in good location if you need to stay in the Bay Area. Staff is friendly, rooms were clean only downside is there was only one ice machine working for the whole hotel and it was out of ice when we went to get some and one of the elevators was out of order which made waits long at times to get to our room or down to the lobby.
- 5/5
Room was clean and roomy, good shower and bed Quiet Nice lobby and cafe Very convenient to shopping
- 5/5

- 5/5
Very pleasant staff, safe area. Everything clean. Conveniences within walking distance
- 3/5
Bare minimum room, but clean. Shower and bed were nice. Very loud, however, from the halls outside and the floor above.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful. The woman at the front desk even got me checked in early wich was very helpful.
- 4/5
Staff was amazing. Did not like the loud leaf blower outside and that there were no real cups for coffee and had to use countless paper cups.
- 5/5
Great staff clean roomy quiet easy access to shopping and restaurants
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff. Plenty of parking.
- 3/5
Elevators were down entire stay
- 4/5
Close to everything. One down fall the bathroom light is bright as heck. Even with the door closed
- 2/5
Stiny and small rooms. Bathroom smelled like marijuana and when I complained they said "we fixed it" but they didnt. Elevators didnt work for more than 48 hours. Very noisy. Zero sympathy or courtesy from staff. Good location.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff were friendly
- 4/5
The staff at the front desk and housekeeping were very courteous and did a great job. Unfortunately, the restaurant was severely understaffed on a holiday weekend. I felt sorry for them. It’s amazing that they were able to keep up with the numbers of guests that you had. On top of that the elevator was out of service for our entire stay. While we were notified of that in advance, it is still an inconvenience and free breakfast was the least you could do for that inconvenience.
- 5/5
Great staff. Treated me like family from check in to check out. Spacious comfortable room. Very thoughtful and clean. Updated amenities and very safe. Tiny but convenient bar for late night bevs. Ample well lit parking onsite.
- 5/5
Front desk staff is very nice. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Easy parking and great location. Fun to shop across the street.
- 2/5
Amenities- the outdoor hot tub was cold. I stayed 2 nights before I was notified the heater motor was broken.

- 3/5
You can hear the cars outside all night long!!
- 4/5
Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The walk from the Amtrak station is a little sketchy. It would be nice if transportation were provided to and from the Emeryville station. The bed and linens were fantastic. The towels were huge and bulky but had a strange Odor to them. One of the two elevators is out of service. Lots of shopping and dining options near by.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and it was great to have coffee with real cream in the lobby!
- 2/5
The room was not sound proof so we could hear the next door neighbor's tv and alarm. The pillows were uncomfortable. We could hear the street noise as well and made it uncomfortable to sleep.
- 4/5
Room and staff were good. I was misled about breakfast included.
- 5/5
As always, superior staff and they really make you feel welcome and appreciated.
- 4/5

- 4/5
Terribly over priced. Excellent bathroom and shower. Small for double beds. More like full. Very clean and well maintained hotel. Helpful and nice staff. No view of anything worth looking at.
- 5/5
Great rooms and staff
- 5/5
Great staff. Always make me feel appreciated.
- 5/5
No luggage racks
- 4/5
The cleanliness was amazing. Staff was very cool. We ended up staying an extra 2 nights. The security guard was very friendly. We talked with him for like 45 mins. Very convenient to Berkeley. Easy to Uber to eat. Views were lovely.
- 3/5
I was given an accessible room, even though I did not request or need one. Unfortunately, it was uncomfortable for me. Additionally, there was a continuous noise coming from the refrigerator throughout the night — not just a typical mechanical sound, but more like the sound of running water — which repeatedly disturbed my sleep. I usually stay at this hotel whenever I visit Berkeley, and most of the time, my stays have been very satisfactory. However, this time was the most disappointing experience so far.
- 4/5
Nice hotel and amenities. Beds are super hard and uncomfortable
- 5/5
The staff and room were great. The only downside was the pool wasn’t available.
- 4/5
Good hotel, fairly modern. But they don't offer loyalty program if you purchase through an aggregator like Hotels.com. Great way to start a trip is piss off your customers.
- 5/5
Stayed here previously & was pleasantly surprised. Same thing this time. Grounds are well taken care of. Room was clean & comfortable and pretty quiet even though the freeway is near. Great view of San Francisco from the balcony.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Extremely close to Amtrak station, less than 10 minutes away on foot. Also, easy access to regional transit with access to San Francisco.
- 5/5
The entire staff was wonderful. I was greeted with smiles and a helpfulness above and beyond. Thank you for making a wonderful trip great. I plan on returning again.
- 5/5
Hotel was great and close to the train station. Good location with lots of stores and restaurants close by. Also, our room a great view of the bay all the way to San Francisco!
- 5/5
Property is recently renovated and always very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful too. I also like the breakfast options.
- 1/5
One of the few time I booked a hotel for the pool because it was a beautiful day and laying in the sun, dipping in the pool sounded great after driving… even in a mediocre pool. We checked and were told the bar would be closed tonight (Sunday before Labor Day). Ok, I can skip the drink. We checked in, changed clothes to go to the pool to find out it’s closed (construction) I didn’t see any- our room was on the 7th floor with beautiful view of a sparkling clean pool. The wifi in the room did work. It was so slow we went back to 5G even after a guy came to reset it- didn’t work. The sink took forever to drain. We ask for a refund- denied. No offer of a free breakfast or a night free in the future- nothing. The AC in the room is either full speed or nothing and very loud! The good parts- there is no freeway noise if you close the window! The gym has free weights up to 55lb - nice for a hotel and bench along with the typical cardio stuff. It was helpful to get my frustration out. For the money, you can find a much better place in that area!
- 3/5
Double beds are too small for two people. Otherwise the property is ok.
- 3/5
Pool was closed and fitness room is way too small. AC in the room really noisy. One receptionist was rather rude and unhelpful. Other than that stay was ok.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
The cafe is open for breakfast, but not dinner. However they do have a lounge (bar) that serves appetizers, salads, sandwiches. I had a reuben sandwich and my husband had fish and chips, and a drink. The bartender was also the cook. The food was so good! Best fries I've had in ages!!
- 1/5
The room is clean and so quiet.
- 5/5
The property and rooms are clean, staff is friendly. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
The staff is so friendly and polite. Parking has security 24/7 and area is very walkable to dining at the Public Market and entertainment like Tipsy Putt. This is our second time staying here because the rooms are clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
I was very pleased with this hotel. The rooms and common areas were modern, fresh, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the rate was very reasonable.
- 4/5
The pool and hot tub were not in service but since we had a short stay it was okay. The service team was helpful and great to work with. They were knowledgeable of the area and provided great recommendations. Wish they had transportation between the hotel and train/plane. Loved the view from the balcony.
- 5/5
Good central location.
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
Property was clean and in a great location with plenty of food options and shopping nearby.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Great venue and superior staff.
- 5/5
Great service, accommodation and breakfast! We had a bay view room and loved our stay here.
- 2/5
No Water . Could not use the restrooms. No shower. No way to clean up to go to work. It was bad.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 2/5
Next....the pool was under renovation and looked like it had been for a while. When asked they said that they had updated that information on web sites....obvious lie here. Breakfast...was expensive and marginal at best. Really bad service with construction noise ongoing. Overall condition of the place was not great...so, between bad lying staff, misrepresented amenities and poor price point, I think I will pass staying here again. The hyatt across the street is a better option at the same price....they at least say they do not have a pool and have free breakfast.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 4/5
We had a bay view from the 7th floor and were given a balcony. First thing I noticed was the extremely clean bathroom that seemed like it had been upgraded last week. Squeaky clean. Water pressure and heat fantastic. Love that the sink was in main room seperate from toilet. Had adorm sized frudge. A free bottle of water. Free water downstairs in a water dispenser was convenient. Enjoyed opening the sliding glass door to hear the yreaffic like whote noise. Only heard one siren the entire stay. It was perfect. The front desk was super nice and they brought us extra blankets on request before we even got our bags setnup. The best is extremely comfortable! We have a temperpetic bed so i was nervous. It was prefect aside from the siz, . more like fulls. Had a coice of soft or firm pillow and the soft one was like mine at home. I actually booked a second night due to the beds snd cleanliness. Plesantly surpilrised by this place. Cant beelat free parking either.
- 5/5
Property is very good. They were remodelling the front entrance. It is better for them to sound proof the rooms from outside sounds from I-80.
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean. Bathroom very small! Staff was friendly. Great location, close to shopping and restaurants.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
For my best friend birthday, I arranged for her and her family at the Four Point hotel in Emeryville for two nights. Other than not having an operational pool for her two girls to enjoy, due to renovation. She said they enjoyed their stay and impressed with the room decor.
- 5/5
Clean, quite and comfortable
- 5/5
Clean Hotel!
- 5/5
Amazing Staff. Very friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
I wasn’t able to closed my curtains so there was light coming in the whole night!!
- 5/5
Can go walk by the water easily. Friendly staff and fresh cooked breakfast
- 5/5
The stay and cleanliness of the room were great! Frank (Chef Supervisor) was also really great! Very kind and friendly helping us at the bar. The only downside was the pool we didn't know it was be remodeled when we booked the hotel.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
This is such a good spot for a stay in the Bay Area, BART is close by, Bay Bridge is close by (if you’re driving) close to water, stores, many food options Berkeley Aquatic Park is close by, great for runners, walkers, etc Staff is great, highly recommend
- 4/5
Pool was closed for the season which was sort of sucky. Staff were kind and by the book this ensuring safety. Free parking with a security patrol was nice but made accessing parking a bit tricky. Cleaning staff were up and at it early and I never had concern for my personal belongings.
- 5/5
One night room was not made up
- 5/5
This hotel is becoming our go-to place. Good value, centrally located, clean, super helpful and friendly staff that went out of their way to be sure we felt welcome and taken care of. Free parking is a plus in the Bay Area.
- 4/5
Location was great. Lots of things nearby. Water pressure in sink was lacking and the toilet kept running. Admittedly, I didn’t report to the desk.
- 5/5
Fabulous room. Spotless condition and very comfortable. Staff was excellent. In house bar is not open on Sunday. My room was two rooms down from the eleso coulhere that noise during the night. Will pay more attention to that next time.
- 5/5
It was great the pool is why we stayed there and it was closed I learned to call before booking otherwise great place
- 5/5
Friendly staff!
- 5/5
It was close to Berkeley and the Bart. Very convenient location for us since our granddaughter was graduating from Berkeley.
- 4/5
Very nice property, clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent, especially front desk and bar. Walking distance to a nice walking path along the bay. My only criticism is that we were not aware that the pool & jacuzzi are under reconstruction and therefore closed. But we would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, spacious parking lot, good restaurants in the area.
- 1/5
I’m usually the person in the family to book hotels and I usually book through Expedia. I like Marriot properties so I booked 4 points Emeryville. This is the second time we stayed here as we usually like the Residence Inn at Berkeley. Although I book through Expedia my wife who is a Marriot Bonvoy member is recognized by the hotels. Today for the first time the front desk receptionist informed us that we did not book through Marriot and through Expedia so she cannot be recognized as a Bonvoy member. Other Marriott along w this property the first time we booked here recognized here as a member although we don’t get reward points, properties still made us feel appreciated as a member. My wife will now book our hotel stays if we plan on staying at a Marriot. Very poor customer system.
- 5/5
Excellent location. Close to Amtrak station. Great shopping and dining in close proximity.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and efficient, the room was clean and well stocked, i liked that they had food for purchase at bar dowmstairs till 10pm. The shower had great water pressure. Only issue i had was a weird beep sound that was consistent for the first like 10 mins when i got there, might have been an alarm next door or something, not too loud but it was a bit annoying.

Was only there to sleep one night and it was great!
- 4/5
The pool was drained. The TV had a loose connection and frequently showed No Signal and did not work consistently. The café seemed minimal. Staff cleaning rooms were very competent and friendly. Front desk staff were good in the morning and overwhelmed in the afternoon.
- 5/5
The staff was always pleasant and happy to help. Everything was clean and the location was perfect.
- 5/5
Breakfast wasn’t the typical hotel buffet, but made to order from a menu. Very nice.
- 5/5
Great friendly staff !!
- 4/5
Homeless love the area
- 5/5
So convenient to local restaurants and shopping. Love the safe environment and location to Berkeley. Will be back.
- 4/5
Rooms a little small, but aside from that, the stay was great
- 5/5
Easy check in
- 5/5
Staff and parking! Cost was great to.
- 4/5
Good place to stay lots of things to do around. Great restaurants great shopping unfortunately the pool and spa were under construction.
- 5/5
The staff was very accommodating. The hotel was quiet, comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with great service. It is located close to other restaurants and shopping
- 5/5
Good location for me and where I was doing business. Clean and near restaurant and entertainment.
- 5/5
This hotel was our base for UC Berkeley and it worked wonderfully using a rental car with UCB about 15-20 minutes away by streets.. Had a room with 2 comfortable double beds. It was spacious and everything worked. Bathroom was shower only but large with a shower wand and separate fixed shower head. Road noise was the only downside since the room was next to Powell Ave and was noticeable from 7am to 10pm. Staff here is excellent-very helpful and accommodating. Restaurant is breakfast only with a separate bar area at night. Close to many food and shopping options. Parking is free and I never had a problem finding a spot. Will stay here again when in the area but ask for a room away from Powell.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Staff was so wonderful and accommodating. The hotel has a really nice view of the Bay
- 3/5
It's a nice property.
- 4/5

Combines
- 4/5
Very nice, clean, and convenient Hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely consider again on a future visit. The only downside to the hotel are the rooms are not very sound proof and not all come with a refrigerator. When I mentioned that in my check-in review, I got a call from my manager, asking if they could bring our refrigerator to my room. Service and responsiveness like this was excellent at the hotel.
- 5/5
Safe location; quiet; easy freeway access
- 5/5
Everyone was so nice from check-in to checkout. They even got my request. Definitely a book again. Clean and quiet. In a safe and clean area.
- 5/5
Great service awesome location
- 5/5
Comfortable room with ample space, microwave, and refrigerator. Quiet hotel. Free parking onsite. Excellent location, central to every place in Bay Area, including San Francisco just across the Bay Bridge, great variety of very close (walkable) shopping areas, public transportation (free shuttle around Emeryville to Bart station). Front desk staff vary from very good to poor. Recommend that the unfriendly front desk staff move to less visible positions because the front desk staff give the first impression of the hotel. Really great time staying here two days; comfortable.
- 5/5
Everything great. Our family members live nearby so very convenient to them. Also a Trader Joe's and other major stores close to hotel.
- 1/5
It’s too bad the rom not Sam on line
- 5/5
The staff was so nice and helpful. We were accommodated before 3pm and our room was upgraded. The room was clean and nice. The bathroom is a little small, but the shower space is big and brand new.
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful
- 5/5
We stay here as it is conveniently located near the Gish Emeryville landing. Easy access to the freeway, dining and shopping. Super nice staff makes it all the better!
- 5/5
With a bay view room, we had a nice view of SF across the bay and the New Year’s Eve fireworks. Room was clean, bed was comfy, service was fine. The area is not the greatest, as is the case everywhere near Oakland, so don’t leave anything valuable in the car.
- 1/5
I slipped and fell in the shower. There was blood all over the bathroom! I told the staff about this. I couldn't sleep with next door noise, walls are very thin. I found a termite inside my room so I asked for room change. Mattress is so soft that my back is still in pain. This hotel was the worst hotel I've ever been so far.
- 3/5
We didn’t like the floor plan. Toilet & shower are in a Confined space and bathroom sink was in a separate area where you had no privacy to get dressed and it was right beside the door entering in and out of the room. We spent two nights and no housekeeping task were performed during that time. No trash cans emptied no replacement towels. This should be changed back to where it used to be when atleast came in and replenished towels for you.
- 4/5
The hotel was great for its proximity to Oakland medical facilities, but far enough away to feel comfortably safe. Nice clean rooms and welcoming staff.
- 5/5
The room was great, other than a night stand needed on both sides of each bed.
- 3/5
The parking is free so that was the biggest selling point for this hotel. We took an Uber to SF instead of driving.
