Updated. Remodeled 1960 motel. Well done. Too much furniture in room. Noisy air conditioner.Dim lighting. Clean & well maintained . Although it was NCAA weekend daily rate was very high $599 a night

Joseph was very professional and the Inn was perfect for our time in Eugene, and can’t say enough about the breakfast spread awesome!!

We stayed here as our first hotel night with a baby! Super clean and cozy, exactly what we needed to rest from the road, plus we love Eugene! I was pretty impressed, loved all the wood detail and the shower was super clean. Breakfast was also great! Appreciated the napoleon dynamite photo in the lobby!

Great breakfast and staff. I was well pleased with my stay. Walking distance to colleges. Eugene does have a homeless problem which is evident at night but hotel parking is well lit.

This was my second time staying at this hotel and it has been consistently great. Rooms are clean, breakfast is great and the common spaces are well maintained. Great central location.

Booked at the last minute on a long drive between CA and WA. Very well maintained and nicely updated “vintage” style motor-inn. Very clean, beautiful hanging flower baskets, comfy and welcoming mid-century modern style office/lounge area. The beer and wine station upon arrival was very welcome. Delicious breakfast. It’s clear a lot of pride and care goes into this family-run inn. Oh and the shower (rain shower and regular at the same time) was great as well. Ditch the mediocre corporate-run hotel room and choose this one with some charm and character run by nice people for the same (or lower) price.

Proximity to downtown, restaurants, entertainment venues. Could hear everything going on above me, below me, and outside.

Very friendly staff and clean room! Only reason I put 4 stars for property maintenance is because only 1 lightbulb out of 4 in bathroom were working. Otherwise, great stay!

We had a good stay at the Timbers Inn. Breakfast was good, staff was helpful and friendly. The location was good and there was ample parking. Only complaint is that the wifi was not strong and because its a refurbished motel setting, the hotel rooms were a bit noisy, both from outside noise, yelling homeless people, and also people walking around in other rooms.

Booked this hotel for a very short 1 night stay in Eugene. It is a “motel style” property with rooms accessed from the parking lot, which meant it was noisier than I prefer, but it was fine for the one night. Room was clean, not fancy. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast included and quite nice. Overall, I would stay there again if in need for a similar short duration.

There was a lot of outside noise from homeless people walking through the alley, police, fire and ambulance sirens, or people revving and driving erratically down the street. The room was decent. I liked the retro look. However the bathroom/shower situation was a bit annoying. Water went all over the floor from the shower due to no barrier to keep it contained.

Not a speck of dust inside or out. Details were attended to. Great breakfast. Updated. Friendly, helpful staff. I made two separate reservations and they arranged it so I could have the same room both nights. Tight parking lot. Don't be afraid of the location.

Breakfast is above average though coffee could be better. Comfortable room, good mattress and pillows. Parking at the door for ground floor rooms. Laundry machines were reasonably priced. Excellent location downtown. I walked to the farmers market.

The entire property was immaculate. Room was clean and bathroom updated with nice fixtures. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance and a perfect place to stay if you have an event at the McDonald theater. If your looking for extra stuff like a pool, this is not your place. Staff was amazing and breakfast was yummy! If im ever needing a place to stay in Eugene again, this will be it! Loved it.

Exceptional

This has to be one of the best run motels of its kind around: super-clean , meticulously cared for with an attentive 24-hour staff. It is a tastefully renovated 1950s highway style accomodation, conveniently located close to Eugene's active downtown and open-air markets. Prices are quite reasonable given the quality. We have travelled a lot and seldom have seen the equal of this place: very much worth a stay...and a credit to the fdamily who owns and runs it!

The only downside was the A/C, which was quite noisy when running. We actually would have preferred to sleep without the AC on, as the noise was genuinely a bit disruptive. However, as soon as we turned it off, the room temperature would rise quickly—or perhaps it was simply that the duvet was a bit too thick, causing us to feel uncomfortably stuffy. Consequently, we had no choice but to sleep with the AC running, which made for a slightly less comfortable night's rest.

This place was fine for the price. Definitely not worth the 9.4 rating on hotels.com. Room was clean and basic. Quite a few homeless in the area. The amenities are sparse at this hotel.

The room was cute and clean, the breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was helpful. It was exactly what we needed and we will definitely stay again next time we’re in Eugene.

The breakfast was the highlight of the stay honestly. I’m all about supporting family operated businesses, especially coming from a family that owns motels. The room was nothing like the pictured portrayed and the price we payed was ridiculous. The roof was creaking constantly, the retro vibe was cool but the amenities were outdated for how much we paid. As soon as we got into the room, we regretted our choice, especially after paying $500 for 2 nights. We will be staying at the Valley River Inn next time for the same price and much more accommodations.

This retro hotel has all the comforts of a modern hotel with lots of charm. The staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and the breakfast is great. Quality food offerings. There is also a nice patio off of the lobby where it’s nice to sit and enjoy the sunshine. It’s where I stay when visiting my U of O student.

Breakfast was terrific! The owners and staff are all super friendly, responsive and professional. My wife and I had a lovely stay. So convenient too!

The Timbers Inn is beautifully remodeled and exceptionally well-maintained. My room was cozy, everything functioned perfectly, and the bed was remarkably comfortable. The breakfast was great, and I especially loved the atmosphere created by the gas fireplace in the lobby. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff at every shift was welcoming and helpful. Fridge and food shelves were always stocked. The rooms were clean, showers were nice and the water pressure was strong. First time staying here, no problems or issues to report. Would stay here again.

The only downside is the wifi was slow. Otherwise, lovely little place in downtown Eugene.

My husband and I are on a road trip to the beach. This was a perfect stop over. It was inexpensive and exceptionally clean. The bed was great. The service was excellent and for anybody on a road trip for a nice stop this is perfect.

Our stay was wonderful! Over the years, The Timber Inn has done a complete remodel of every room, plus the lobby/breakfast area. Our room was very nice, quiet and immaculate. Breakfast is served until 10 am, which is perfect for us. Food offerings included eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, juice, fruit, coffee, tea. We will stay here again!

LOVED Timbers Inn!!! And seriously can’t wait to come back. Delightful staff, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, centrally located, easy parking, cozy lobby. I don’t think we’ll stay anywhere else in Eugene now.

Clean, nice and recently redone with a cool vibe. Breakfast was fine staff was friendly. As a motor lodge it can be a bit pound when cars are coming and going. But not really an issue. Perfect location between downtown and campus. My only complaint is that the mattress was a bit firm for my tastes. But that’s me being picky.

This hotel has been very nicely updated. The reception area is very comfortable, and they even have beer and wine available. Having a full breakfast is a big plus - especially with the reasonably priced rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative for me was the heater in the room which came on and off a lot during the night and was quite loud.

The young woman who checked me in was very kind and friendly. I walked downtown for dinner, which I picked up at Mad Macs which was amazing! And again for Voodoo Donuts in the morning. When I arrived by my GPS direction, I arrived at the back. I almost didn’t go in. But got around front and saw the check in and rooms and was good. Be aware of that;) I will stay here again for sure! One other note: it was a bit noisy early in the evening. I do sleep with ear plugs so I can’t say for sure that it did or did not continue to be. But I don’t think so.

The room was clean and provided me with a very comfortable rest. I wished I could take home the bedding, it was so crisp and clean. The lobby was really stylish and cute. I especially enjoyed sitting by the fireplace on my cold rainy arrival. Staff was exceptional! Everyone was so welcoming and attentive. The morning breakfast was probably the best I'd ever had at a small boutique Inn. There was something for everyone. Eggs,bacon,sausage,potatoes,cereal,waffles,bananas,oranges,apples,toast,pastries, juices,oatmeal,coffee,tea and I may have missed something. Being right on Pearl Street and only two floors it"s a bit noisy from traffic sounds. But was still well worth the stay.

Old school motel recently fixed up with comfortable beds in a great location for walking. If you’re a lite sleeper get a second floor room. The front desk moved us up to the second floor without even a question…excellent customer service our entire stay. Breakfast is good…scrambled real eggs bacon sausage and waffle maker. You can get drinks and sit in the lobby…it’s cozy. Parking in front was limited so we had to park out back not a huge deal. Good hot water in a very basic shower with small ceiling mounted rainfall shower head...above average towels. Would go back.

Room was clean and cute but the outside noise was pretty bad. I could hear talking, people going up and down the stairs and cars revving their engines up and down the street.

The bed was as hard as the floor. It made my hips hurt. Also, this place claims to be dog friendly but dogs aren't allowed in the lobby, so if you need something from the lobby your dog has to wait in your car. Also the outside noise was very loud inside my room.

The Timbers Inn was wonderful! We stayed two nights while in town to tour U of O and just loved it. The room was so nice and obviously recently remodeled, the breakfast was fantastic and everyone that worked there was very friendly. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm back!

This is my third trip staying at the Timbers Inn. I'm never disappointed with anything this Inn provides. The Inn is surrounded by great restaurants and shopping. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and are always keeping up the grounds and building. I've even stayed at the Inn by myself (middle aged female) and have felt safe. Love the breakfast, beds are super comfortable, and there's free wifi. What more do you need?

The bed is comfortable. It is a nice renovated older Motel, the kind where you can park right outside your door if you are on the main floor.

The location and staff were wonderful. The breakfast was fantastic. Free parking is a huge plus. The grounds are lovely. I love that care has been taken to bring an original motel to life. That being said, the building is still noisy and you can hear water pipes, etc. I thought the bed was really uncomfortable, but I understand that is subjective.

No bedskirt so the boxspring was exposed - feel that a simple cover would lend to better aesthetics overall. Bathroom in the suite was lovely - well equipped. Good breakfast, good location. We had an extended stay and it was so lovely having a clean, comforting room, easy access to dowtown and we could walk most places. The real highlight was the amazing family eho owns the inn and all the staff members. Inviting, friendly, and ready to help. And the morning breakfast was delicious!

Fairly quiet considering its basically set up like a motel with cars parked in front of rooms. We had a room with 2 queen beds. The frames of the beds wern't very good. They are sturdy but we both hit our toes on the metal parts. They need to change to a wood base frame. We had a couple smsll crickets in the bathroom. Rooms were clean though. The buffet breakfast was good and the front desk folks were very friendky. The restaurants nearby were easy to walk to. I would of liked a map of what was nearby, it woukdnif been helpful.

First time staying at Timbers, but would most definitely return in Eugene. Good location and maybe the best complimentary breakfast anywhere.

The room was sufficient for my needs. I just needed a place to stay for a quick overnight before heading back on the road. I didn't fully appreciate how close it was to downtown, so that's my fault. It was a tad noisy, but realistically, what I should have expected for a downtown motel. The individual that checked me in was friendly though didn't know the surrounding area for restaurants and bars. She did provide me with a list of establishments, but no contact information or location. It was 'good,' not 'great.'

Perfect one night getaway for a music show. The room was sweetly redecorated and small but clean. Loved the special tile work in the bathroom area and the overall feel of the hotel theme. Great breakfast and friendly staff. We were able to walk to a dinner earlier in the evening and then only a few blocks away from the show venue, which was great when we got back late and didn't have to worry about parking or driving. Easy to get to off the highway and close to lots of stuff on our way out of town. Would stay again!

The property is meticulously maintained and the staff is very customer focused. I was traveling with a family member who is wheelchair dependent and upon arrival the staff member who checked us in made multiple trips to carry our luggage and medical supplies. Brian helped without hesitation and set the tone for a lovely stress-free stay.

Honestly, this place is lovely. The way they brought and old time motel back to life is truly amazing. All the modern features with the mid-century charm intact. My only real issue was an overall musty smell in our room, and the excessively loud AC. The landscaping was beautiful. The breakfast was a great start to the day. Easy parking and we felt we and our car were safe here. Quick walk to shops and restaurants at the nearby marketplace.

This was our 3rd stay while traveling through Eugene and we wouldn't stay anywhere else! Cute retro motel, excellent staff and breakfast bar. Close to downtown.

Absolutely delightful and outstanding hotel!! The staff is so friendly, helpful, respectful! The grounds are landscaped with unbelievably beautiful flowers - healthy, thriving, well-maintained. Extremely clean and so fascinating to see the throwback to the 1950’s, done in a tasteful and authentic style! The breakfast has excellent quality choices. We highly recommend this hotel!

The Timber Inn is a renovated motel with modern amenities. It is located in a great location within walking distance to shopping and dining. The staff is excellent and very helpful. The area is quiet and it is safe. The breakfast was outstanding.

We loved this little gem. On a family vacation with my young adult daughter. Had a room with 2 queen beds. Super clean room, mini frig, TV, wi-fi, walkable to nightlife - lots of college age to mid 30’s peps, which was a bonus for us because our daughter is also in her later 20’s. Great art scene. Added bonus excellent free breakfast!

I have stayed here several times. They have made lots of improvements to the property over the years. It’s the best value in Eugene and it’s clean! Parking is easy and the breakfast is as good as hotel breakfast gets.

Had a great stay at Timberwood Inn! The breakfast was delicious and such a nice way to start the day. I felt really welcomed from the moment I arrived—everyone was kind and helpful. The location is also super convenient, with restaurants just a short walk away. Would definitely stay again!

Very convenient location for us to walk and go to restaurants. The first room we were assigned had a very strong disinfectant odor but when I asked the front desk the gal quickly gave me a much nicer room.

It was very misleading and deciving from the pictures, and the bed was very dirty. It's location is so-so, and would not come again.

That said, I was really disappointed with the room itself as compared to the pictures advertised on their and this website. I stayed in a Queen room, and am sharing both what was shown and what my room looked like. I had chosen this inn specifically for the ambiance shown, with all the natural wood and warmth. I felt misled when I walked in and saw how depressing the room was: one lamp, grey walls, barely any art. The front desk was very kind to let me borrow some extra lamps and I rearranged the room's furniture to be a little more inviting (put it back the way it was upon departure), but I wouldn't stay here for more than one or two nights again unless they made an effort to improve the rooms. For this price in a small town, I don't think that's too much to ask.

Timbers has a retro vibe while also feeling kinda woodsy. The staff was friendly was in and everything worked well. The breakfast was also very good.

This place is a delight! Close to the market…Excellent refurbishment a 1958 establishment…Beautiful landscaping…A dynamite breakfast buffet (real eggs and fresh potatoes made in small batches for freshness). Loved this place!

Our room was perfect with super comfortable beds. The bathroom felt brand new, and we appreciated how clean and updated everything was. The staff were kind and helpful without being overbearing, and check-in was quick and easy. It was clean, never too crowded, and there were plenty of towels and chairs, which made our lives easier. Breakfast in the morning had something for everyone, and the location made it easy to get around without spending all day in the car. Honestly, it felt like the hotel had thought through what families actually need. Would absolutely stay here again. It was the kind of place where you could actually relax and enjoy being together.

Staff was very helpful during the check-in process. My wife has extreme chemical sensitivities and the front desk worked with us to help us find a room that she could stay in. Everything else was icing on the cake.
