The room was great! Plenty of space and comfortable beds. The staff were very helpful. The location was great! The breakfast was not great. Parking was around the corner unless we wanted to pay $25 per night.

Location It is way overpriced for what you get. They only do service of rooms every other day, but I did not get any service of the room at all during my 4 night stay. Not acceptable after the ridiculous rate I paid. They also had no flexibility and offered nothing when I needed to cancel my last nights' stay due to family emergency.

This Hotel was a gem Walking distance from most everything I was doing. Staff was very present and helpful.

Great place to stay if visiting someone attending Northwestern. Convenient to Evanston’s restaurants and stores as well as the university buildings. The rooms are very roomy and have a kitchenette which is helpful. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Very friendly staff and a nice, clean room. What stood out to me was the breakfast - they had gluten free options and everything was labeled for accessibility. I loved the oatmeal and choice of toppings. The lobby had nice seating room and board games which was cute.

My family and I enjoyed their complimentary breakfast. Staff were hospitable and helpful. We enjoyed seeing all the friendly dogs in the lobby.

Overall was a good stay. The hotel and surrounding area felt pretty safe and clean. The staff was friendly. The rooms were pretty updated and clean. The parking wasn’t ideal being behind the hotel, but it wasn’t bad and our car was safe overnight.

Lauren treated us impeccably well. We had some issues with our suite upon arrival and she was quick to offer a solution. When things got worse, she swiftly made changes and offered more solutions. She went above and beyond and made our week-long stay (with a baby and dog in tow) pleasant, memorable and enjoyable! Breakfast is lovely, the omelette station is particularly nice- above average breakfast for sure with a nice variety of cereals and breads too. Almond milk available for those with dietary concerns like me. The staff were all wonderful and the service was really top tier!

Service of all staff was Excellent. However, a few items from previous guest were found in our room, so housekeeping needs to be more attentive. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL and the amenities were exceptional. We were in need of paper plates and plastic ware and they provided REAL silverware. Will definitely stay again if Im in the area.

The hotel was nice for the price, clean, room is spacious,. Has parking. With Nice breakfast. That’s all I need in a hotel. Just wish they have a 24 hour coffee that is available at the lobby. But over all we were happy.

My favorite choice in Evanston. Right in center of Evanston, close to campus, across from Whole foods and many restaurants. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff was very friendly, but one of the night shift staff seemed reluctant to work

Staff was great, and the place was fairly clean. Really great location with so many restaurants and shops that were walkable. The building isn't very old, which is why I was surprised at how much sound bled between rooms. I could easily hear entire conversations and snoring from the rooms on either side of me, and the elevator chime was so loud that I could hear it from inside my room (despite not being close to it). Bring ear plugs.

The breakfast was good, just what you needed to start the day. Everyday there is something different and its all you can eat style! The gym is 24hrs so you can go in whenever you want to pump your heart and lift some iron. And this is a convenient hotel as your a 40-50 minute train journey away from Chicago! A 6 minute walking distance from Northwestern University (Highly recommend to check that out!), and the hotel is in town so you have many food options around for lunch and dinner. Big shout out to the cleaners they deserve their big props, one of them found my earphones and gave it to one of the concierges. The concierges are great, I have to give a BIG shoutout to Arthur, Justin and Khalil! They are a reflection of great customer service, gave me advice on where I should go and how I should go about it and helped when I needed it most! Shout out to you guys, BIG 3!!! If I was to come for a trip to Chicago, I would stay in Evanston again as all around from the Kitchen Staff, Cleaners and Concireges, The area and the convenience its worth it!

Housekeeping needs to do a better job, gross food left in the fridge and there was NO onsite parking as stated, had to walk with kids 1-2 blocks away. Frustrating 😪

The room is quite big. Standard amnesties like other hotels in the area. Uber service is quick

This property was way overpriced for what it was worth. It was an absolute rip off for what I had to pay but it was either sleep on the streets or sleeping in bed. The property was clean and room was clean and I had no complaints except for the pillows were god-awful and I had to see my chiropractor once I got back in town it was like sleeping on a hard brick I think prison inmates get better pillows in this. Looking through some other comments it looks like I'm not the only one either I was in so much pain the next day with my neck it was awful.

Nice hotel in a nice area of Evanston close to shops and restaurants. Parking easy in back for a fee. Our daughter is at Loyola U about 3 miles down the road so was p pretty convenient location to go back and forth.

Breakfast food wasn’t great, but other than that I enjoyed my stay.

We have four kids and stayed in a suite, which was spacious enough for our entire family. We stayed for 8 nights and were very happy with how clean and well-maintained the hotel was. The location is excellent—very close to the lake, and both Target and Trader Joe’s are within walking distance. Breakfast had a great variety, and we especially appreciated being able to order fresh omelets. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The only downside was the parking fee, which was $25 per night. Other than that, everything was perfect. We’d love to come back again in the future!

Not clean. Was put in an accessible room and the shower flooded the entire bathroom. Extremely limited parking. Parking in back alley area of hotel. Only around 20 spots available for entire hotel. Frequently returned to hotel to no available parking.

The front desk staff was ok, not great but not awful. The hotel had a smell due to food being brought in, not sure if it was the hotel food or someone bringing it to the hotel. The hotel was in a great location. It is expensive to park the car, on our own.

The hotel is in a convenient location and we were able to walk pretty much everywhere. The staff were nice and knowledgeable of where to eat and visit. The gym was clean. Other than having to pay for parking, I was happy with our stay and would return again.

Joey amongst the other staff members were friendly and super helpful. I was there for a week for work, and my family traveled with me. The amenities were nice. Only gripes would be I wish they had a pool. The hotel itself was hard to find when driving up to it.

We booked here last minute after another hotel canceled the reservation with no notice. Staff was nice and the room was very nice as well. Basically a studio apartment with a kitchen and everything. Will definitely make it my go to place when visiting Chicago.

Not so good . Had to change hotel. For $300 a night, no restaurant service, bar was not interesting. Not worth the price!

Great hotel. Breakfast was wonderful. Room was clean. Cute shops with in walking distance and we enjoyed Chicago deep dish pizza right next door.

I was unaware that they got rid of the valet services. The rooms have been minimally changed (one less chair at the counter, wheels removed on the third one), which we miss. Glasses in the kitchenette were a little dirty. The sliding door on the bathroom looked like it had been fixd but not very well. Deep nail holes on the exterior trim were just gaping and left open. Didnt even try to patch them over. Bedding seemed a bit lacking. We stay a minimum of once a year and have always had the same type of room so these things were noticeable.

Overcharged for a prepaid stay. Basically they charged twice. They say they removed charges, but charges still there after I left. Pure incompetence.

The location was really good in downtown Evanston and the room was quiet and comfortable.

This is our second stay at Hyatt House. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We'll be back next year!

Upon entering the room I was very happy. We had 5 people so reserved a larger room. To my surprise it had a mini kitchen and kitchen sitting area with the sitting room and pull out soda. So much room and so clean . The location is close to Northwestern University. We also were able to walk for dinner. We also were able to walk to the beach. We will definitely be staying here again soon.

I have stayed at this location multiple times while my son was in college and it has never disappointed. It is clean and the hotel is easily accessible. Great location and I will be staying again in the future.

I stayed here when I went to visit my son at Northwestern University. The room is big with a kitchenette and a sitting area. The bed is new and comfortable. The hotel is located in the downtown area of Evanston with many dining options and one Whole Foods store. Only ten minutes walk from the south end of the NU campus. The very reasonable off-season rate includes continental breakfast. The usual stuff plus kefir. Good quality food and adequate quantities. The staff was very friendly.

What I liked was that the property was very clean, staff was friendly and valet was prompt. Around the hotel area there are many things to walk to such as the store, eateries and parks. Hotel and surrounding area was quiet.

The on-site manager was very accommodating and helpful, however, the downstairs lobby was all but uninhabitable because it was so cold. This made relaxing at the bar like sitting outside.

Warm and friendly staff. If you could lower the volume on the elevator "ding" in the hallway that would be greatly appreciated.

The downside, which to me could be a deal breaker, was the bathroom was in the bedroom. We had a beautiful suite, but having the bathroom was the most inconvenient bathroom I have experienced in a hotel. Whether one of us wanted to get up early and shower and get ready, or stay up later than the other, we felt we couldn't. Also if we had to get up in the middle of the night, was a problem!

Location is great. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Gym was open 24 hours which is convenient. Negatives- gym not maintained as wipes ran out, water cups ran out and no towels available. Room though clean, needed upkeep as light was falling from ceiling, bathroom fan did not appear to work and shower faucet handle felt like it was going to fall off. There was a lack of communication about how much valet parking would be and how often the room would be cleaned. Overall we enjoyed the hotel and would stay again.

Disappointed when it came to eating at your restaurant. I was concerned when the person managing the front desk was the person preparing our meal. I forgot to mention when we checked out that the drain in the shower of #412 needs to be cleaned. After your shower you're standing in an inch of water because the drain isn't working well.
