The place is right across from NAU. Great location for the price. Appearance could use some TLC. Inside seemed renovated recently. Though the couch was old and torn. The girl at the counter was very nice and helpful. They have a decent coffee machine at the lobby.

Canyon Inn is a smaller, mid century type motel right on Route 66 opposite NAU. Great location for restaurants and shopping. Bed was very comfortable. Small fridge ok. Unit had obviously been recently renovated, new tile and flooring. However the tv didn’t work well and there’s no coffee, microwave, etc. Also, there’s no swing bar on the door which was surprising!
- 5/5
This motel is kind of tucked behind another building off of the main road. From outside appearances it doesn’t look like much but the rooms are super spacious. There was counter space to prepare meals with plates and utensils. There was a full sized fridge and microwave in the room.
- 4/5
Good location. Right on Hwy 66 across from N. Arizona University. Walk to restaurants and downtown. Average room without a lot of modern wiring but nice staff and comfortable. Would stay there again.
- 2.5/5
This was a typical no frills old school motel along the strip in Flagstaff. Can't beat the price or the location. Bonus points for having been updated within the past decade. You are getting what you pay for, so nothing really to complain about. If I had to pick one thing, the motel is your classic 1950's motor lodge built right alongside a very busy street. Just make sure to crank up the A/C unit with the fan running to drown out the road noise.

Additionally, our room was not ready when we arrived and it might be a 20 room hotel. We were made to feel as if we were the inconvenience when check-in was at 3 pm. When we asked for extra towels, the clerk said to wait at the room because the towels were in a room with spiders. It was such a disappointment- and not worth the price we had to pay for two nights. Not a great stay and we won’t be returning.
- 1/5
Drove into the lot and left immediately. Pictures of the motel on the internet are very misleading. Rundown motel is an understatement. We never got out of the car. It appeared that a drug transaction was possibly taking place in the parking lot. Got the heck out of there!
- 1/5
Not a dog friendly place at all, could not stay 4 lane busy blvd with zero area for dogs to potty. Not a speck of dirt or grass or even a tree.We left and stayed at La Quinta. Very unsafe. Not at all an 8.6. I got non refundable bc of ratings and apparently I lost all my money. There was no way and I mean no way I was gonna stay there. Please consider a full refund. I would rate it a 6 at best. It would have ruined my entire Flaggstaff experience to stay there.

. The staff was very kind and accomodating. The room was spacious and clean. Stores and shops were close by which was nice. Traffic noise would sometimes bleed through the window, but nothing a white noise machine via an app couldn't fix.

Nice affordable stay, no frills motel room perfect for one or two nights rest. We travel cross country pretty frequently and I’m adding this hotel to list of those I would stay in again. The young lady that greeted me at check in was very pleasant and helpful. The room was overall clean but could use some minor maintenance stuff, like repairing or replacing the trim around the bathroom door but definitely not a deal breaker. The beds and bedding was comfortable although the pillows were quite firm for my liking but my husband thought they were just fine. Only a couple of drawbacks, no hairdryer in the room, which I could have requested from the front desk but by the time I noticed the sign the front office was already closed and we left before they opened. Second is the pet fee of $20 per pet. That rate feels a little high considering I paid nearly as much for the two small dogs as I did for the room in total.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Shower drained well and good pressure. Bed comfy like dry other hotel they have the half size pillow bit I made it work. Great value for the price
- 5/5
It doesn’t look like much from the outside but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this motel. Clean, large rooms with a solid bathroom. Some road noise in the afternoon but it’s died down by evening. I was able to sleep just fine. Bargain at $60!
- 4/5
Nice style and location on Route 66. Places to visit in Flagstaff that I was interested in were nearby. Only shortcoming was room 107 light and outlet near the TV were dead electrically.
- 2/5
The location was good. The noise, the cleanliness, the state of maintenance were poor.
- 3.5/5

The tv didn't work, which was okay because the person working fixed it and she warned me it had issues, so the real issue was that she didn't give us a different room, which she said she would and then didn't. Miscommunication.

Cheap and cheerful staff were nice … a lot of road noise but walking distance to old town area
- 3/5
It’s an older motel. Good place for sleep. Don’t expect too much. My only issue was that we got the room after it was cleaned and the cleaning solution smell lingered for hours. We had to open the window and the door to air out the room. At least we know the room was clean.

Clean rooms, everything functional. It had a refrigerator but no microwave which was a negative for me. TV package was great. Will definitely return.
- 4/5
This is a vintage motel, no frills, just right for a Route 66 adventure. Generally clean and well maintained. Nice to have a fridge in the room; a microwave would have been a good addition. Note that the front desk staff was a little lax, leaving the desk to run errands and opening late in the morning. Otherwise, a good stay.

This is a nice place where you can drive up to your room and unload and organize for your road trip. The room was clean and the AC worked well without being too noisy. The motel is on a busy street but it is not too loud in the room, plus it is walkable to the Flagstaff area. Easy check out process.

- 5/5
Small one story complex. Park your car right in front of your door. The staff is fantastic. The unit was well kept. A refrigerator in the room. Coffee machine and microwave were close by in the lobby/reception area. The location is great. Restaurants, shopping and the mountain view. Definitely a popular area. Dont expect a luxury hotel. Just know you get more than what you pay for.
- 5/5
Location was fantastic!! Staff was kind and informative!
- 4/5
Staff very responsive. Exterior looked a bit funky until one realized it was in-keeping with historic Route 66. Interior was more up-to-date, but smaller than expected. Still not in a bad way considering we had three 70# dogs with us! Despite being on historic Route 66 it was not as noisy as we feared, just normal traffic noise.
- 4/5
The room was clean but there was a heavy cleaning supplies smell and I couldn't open the window to air out. The room and motel was what I expected for a simple stay.
- 5/5
Just a clean simple budget friendly motel
- 4/5
Only stayed one night. Accidentally booked the wrong day, so had to pay for two night. They were nice enough to give me the same rate the 2nd night.
- 5/5
Awesome small independent hotel within walking distance of the historic district. Plenty of food and shopping nearby. Parking was easy. The staff was exceptionally nice. The room was clean and very comfortable. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Great price in a great location! This place was cheapest accommodation on our national park road trip. We thought it was decent. Bathroom needed some updating for sure, but for the price we were satisfied.
- 3/5
Room was clean and housekeep was helpful. No microwave, no coffee maker in the room. They have one in the office, so you have to get dressed and walk acrossed the parking lot to get coffee or heat up anything. Dont know what is in the 3 dispensers in the shower cause they are not labelled. Towels are very small in bathroom. Need 2 per person to dry off and they only give you 2. TV service very limited. Cant get much to watch.

Room was clean and comfortable really only down side no microwave or coffee in room. But available at office
- 2/5
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room itself was very clean and true to the photos, but for some reason, it smelled like urine. Not sure if it was the cleaner that was used, maybe it contained ammonia? We asked the staff if there was an open room to switch to, but they were all booked. They did give us a bottle of febreeze, but unfortunately the smell was unpleasant and persisted. The hot water turned on quickly and stayed hot though! It was an overall okay budget stay. Based on other reviews, our experience with the smell seemed to be an anomaly.
- 4/5
Room was nice, bed sheets had some bloodstains and the bathroom had a weird lil window that led to the supply room
- 4/5
No issues.
- 5/5
The room was clean, and the beds were comfy. The best part was that the location is right in the center of town, which made getting anywhere super easy. We could have even walked downtown. However, if you're not used to traffic noise, you might find that annoying, but coming from Phoenix, it wasn't as bad as you may be used to. I would come back to this hotel the next time I stay in Flagstaff.

- 4/5
Very clean place with a nice walking distance to down town.
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable, next to main Route 66 street but not a problem at night. Fridge in room, but they had a microwave in the lobby you could use, so not a problem for providing my own breakfast. Didn’t realize this was a Route 66 place, and celebrating 100 years on route this year. That is actually cool! Close to Lowell Observatory
- 5/5
Staff was great. Parking was very easy to get in and out of. Rooms were clean and looked recently updated.
- 5/5

Staff very welcoming. Room was clean.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. The rooms were quiet. Coffee and tea are available throughout the day.
- 3/5
Rooms were nicely renovated. Beds were comfy. Unfortunately, there was lots of road noise & shower was cold.
- 5/5
Desk staff intensely friendly and helpful; clean, spacious, comfortable rooms; toiletries provided (shampoo, conditioner, body gel); ice machine on premises, fridge in room; TV clicker actually easy to use; decent coffee machine in lobby with mini donuts and muffins in the morning. Walking distance to downtown Flag and close to NAU. Great value for money. Since it's a roadside motel, it's on a busy street, and while the rooms are pretty well soundproofed and the traffic dies down later in the evening, light sleepers might want to bring earplugs, just in case.
- 3/5
We found a used condom on the floor of the room.
- 5/5
We were only here for a short stay, but it was a nice cozy and clean room.
- 3/5
As expected, loud traffic noise at this motel by the busy street. Could hear neighbors. Room spelled overwhelmingly of cleaner, which is better that the alternative I guess! Welcoming to pets.
- 5/5
It was a really nice little place
- 5/5
great location close to great food, coffee and mellow bars.
- 4/5
Easy check in comfortable beds clean room. Bathroom was really small and tub/shower leaked and door got stuck. Otherwise great location within minutes of many food places and activities.
- 1/5
I was locked out overnight and nobody was there to give me an extra key.
- 3.5/5
Very decent for a cheap motel. Beds were comfortable. Only two pillows. No microwave. No hairdryer.
- 5/5
Great one stop over. The lady on reception was lovely. Very helpful. The rooms were very modern and very clean. Situated very close to town with craft beer bars and plenty of places to eat. Safe parking. Just on route 66
- 2.5/5
The check in process was easy and quick. Staff at very helpful initially. Room was clean. We were placed into a room with a non-working TV, and no soap in the dispensers in the shower. Upon asking about the TV, staff came and "inspected" and we were told "it should be working". Staff left to "check if it was under maintenance" but didn't come back. My partner went to the front desk and was told that it would not be working for the duration of our stay. Upon asking a couple times, they came and refilled the shower dispenser. Overall it was fine, but placing us in a room that did not provide a full experience of all amenities was frustrating. Price was okay, staff was nice and helpful up until their hours were "over". We've stayed at this motel several times over the years, and this was by far the most disappointing stay.
- 5/5
The lady at the front desk was amazing! We wanted some recommendations for food choices and they were awesome! Super helpful!
- 2.5/5
The location is across from the University campus and near the Lowell Observatory. Street noise is significant, the rooms seem dated, towels are small.
- 4/5
The room was clean.

The room was great for the price!
- 1/5
Terrible would never stay there again even if it was free….
- 4/5
Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was nice. Would stay again!
- 5/5
The staff was remarkably helpful, writing out a full list of all her favorite places to eat, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and she was right on every recommendation. And the room itself was spotless.
- 1/5
Room was decent minus the towels with hair all over them. Staff was terrible.
- 5/5
Check in was a breeze. The room was nice and clean. We had a good overnight stay here en route to California. Thank you!
- 5/5
Perfectly clean and comfortable room in great repair and a great price. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Clean room, quick check-in, great coffee machine in the lobby, excellent location.
- 5/5
When I first pulled up I immediately had second thoughts about continuing with my reservation but I figured I was already here so I might as well use it. I was actually pleasantly surprised. The gentleman that checked me in was so nice & when I opened the door to my room I was surprised that it looks exactly like the picture. The room is a really good size with a nice little refrigerator and microwave

Traffic
- 2.5/5
Front desk staff friendly. Room 119 VERY loud with traffic. No coffee maker or microwave in room to have coffee in pajamas. I stand coffee I lobby on canisters did not feel hygienic. Coffee machine broken. Big stain on comforter.
- 4/5
Older property but very clean. Unbeatable location! Some modernization to the rooms would be great. Love the fire pits and fireplace in the room.
- 5/5
Front desk was professional and accommodating. Our room was clean and spotless. Parking was very convenient.
- 4/5
Hotel was convenient to downtown.
- 5/5
Our room was clean and comfortable. The reception area offers complimentary coffee, decaf, and hot cocoa all day long (perfect for our December visit) – our whole family was so grateful to warm up with hot drinks after spending time outdoors. The only minor drawback was that the AC/heating unit was a bit loud. But it didn't significantly detract from our overall positive experience.
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay for a weekend adventure! Clean rooms, great price and the adorable girl at the front desk who help
- 3/5
Very basic. Towels are as thin as paper and need to be replaced. After walking on floor bottom of feet were black- needs a good cleaning
- 1.5/5
The bed was not fresh. The breakfast offered only bite-sized muffins.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff that made check in so easy. Rooms big and very clean. Hot water right away.
- 3/5
Parking easy.
- 4.5/5
OK could be available earlier then 7 am
- 3/5
The room is ok and the staff highly friendly and polite.. the only thing the suppliers in the room kinda poor
- 5/5
The staff was so nice and friendly
- 4/5
Quiet easy access to near by stores fast service but a 3.00 was not included for utilities which was weird
- 5/5
Clean room. Easy checkin and walking distance to downtown was great!
- 3/5
The staff was pleasant enough and the room was clean and I slept well. However, the LED office light in the bathroom went out and that made it kind of hard to put on my makeup in the morning. Then I went to get coffee in the morning in the office, and the hot water was only lukewarm, making that not possible. Plus hotels.com charges $33 extra to rent the room. I would just call them directly because for the amount I paid I would expect a little bit more.
- 5/5
Good location and spotlessly clean Nothing
- 1/5
Most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever not slept in! Very thin blankets that were not warm enough for the winter temps. Also the towels were so thin they were practically see through.
- 3/5
Convenient location, though rooms near the road are very noisy. The friendly and helpful staff gladly changed me to a quieter room after my first night and the road noise was not a problem. Bed was comfortable. Not dirty, but not up to typical hotel cleanliness standards. I got a great price, so I still consider it good value.
- 5/5
Decent hotel to spend a night or two.
- 5/5
Very cute place in great location with helpful staff
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. There was a café that was easy to walk to, with great coffee and good sized breakfast burritos. It was a quiet and clean area. The only issue we had was that the floor was dirty, we can tell because our socks would get dirty just walking around.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Door security was questionable other than that we enjoyed our stay
- 4/5
The room was relatively clean except the floor and desk surfaces were dusty. One of the two towels were dirty so that was a bummer. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean. Wasn’t thrilled about the room’s window facing the back as the back seemed sketchy. Feels like there should be additional security features for the window. Overall decent stay for the price on a road trip through Arizona.
- 5/5
Nice room, in a good location.
- 5/5
Refurbished (almost new) rooms & comfy bed. Very friendly and understanding staff, easy check in & check out, convenient location with ample parking.
- 3/5
Good price. Wry strong camichal sence.
- 5/5
We enjoyed being able to walk down to the strip of restaurants and stores and coffee in the morning was literally across the street. I've always enjoyed places that are single level like this where you can park directly in front of your room door. Thanks again for the wonderful hospitality 🙏
- 3/5
The room is was in the very back of the property next to the mechanical and laundry. Looked liked skid row in LA. Yes, they have coffee in the lobby, but it’s instant. Thank goodness there is a coffee shop a block away. I travel to flagstaff once a week and try a different motel each week. This one is the bottom of the list so far
- 5/5
Very clean, super easy access and great cimplementary coffee!!
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
The front desk staff was incredibly sweet. Check in was very quick and easy. The room was clean and updated. The was in an in-room fridge. Microwave, iron, hair dryer, coffee and cocoa were available at the lobby. We only stayed for a night, but we will definitely return to this hidden gem.
- 4/5
The room was fine. Everything was functional except the door, which I learned after coming in and out of the room a few times. The door did not latch when closed without a significant amount of weight being applied. The floor was very dirty in the areas where the tile transitions to laminate and in the corners. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful and the location is great.
- 5/5
Very conveniently located on Route 66, near downtown! Would’ve loved a microwave in the room. But it’s okay, there’s one in the office. No complaints, it was the ideal rode-side motel🙂
- 5/5
Great no frills motel and convenient to busy areas of Flagstaff.
- 4/5
Not ideal having no staff on property after 10 with no given way to contact them in the event of getting locked out or having a major maintenance issue, but they do give fair warning about that, so its at your discretion. Otherwise, a great stay for the price.
- 3/5
The TV didn't work. Had to request a hairdryer.
- 3/5
We have stayed here several times and usually have a good stay. This time although we were told it was a non smoking room it was obvious someone had been smoking in the room including from the smell and a plastic bag on the fire alarm. In addition there was a dirty washclth in the bathroom and the tv would not work.
- 2/5
The staff could barely communicate. The room was old enough and loud enough due to traffic noise that we turned around and checked right back out.
- 4/5
The staff is incredible. The bed is comfy. The location is THE BEST. The facecloth was the softest I've ever used in my life. The towel though, didn't dry me at all! I will stay there again and just bring my own towel because the price for the value is the best.
- 3/5
The room was clean and the front desk employee was VERY friendly and helpful. The fridge in the room did not work and the only microwave was in the lobby. The “continental breakfast” solely consisted of expired powdered donuts, muffins expiring in one day and chocolate donuts expiring in January. To drink, there were a couple packages of hot chocolate (one had a hole in it) and instant coffee. You could purchase additional beverages. You might want to bring your own towels as the towels provided are big enough to be hair towels and not much bigger (okay sized towels for a small to average size person).

As Motels go, this was one of the nicest I’ve stayed. Right near downtown Flagstaff and the university it was incredible. Will stay here again
- 5/5
Much better motel place than the last one we stayed at in Flagstaff with our small shitzu! No carpet in our room, much cleaner and great customer service. Fair pricing too!
- 3/5
The room was simple and clean, and the staff was really nice and helpful. Unfortunately, there is A LOT of loud road noise. Earplugs are highly recommended.
- 5/5
Wet nice updated place.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel. Clean, cozy, and the cute receptionist was fast and on point!
- 5/5
Honestly, it looks a bit sketchy but it’s great. We were hesitant but slept comfortably. No noise or weird activity. We had everything we needed for a quick stay. Plus, we were super close to a bunch of cool places.
- 4/5
Very nice convenient motel to downtown Flagstaff. Easy walk to Flagstaff downtown restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean room, welcoming staff.
- 5/5
The staff were just great. Well worth the price.
- 5/5
There were plenty of shops easily accessible nearby! Room was very clean and well kept! Customer service was so great! She gave tips on good shops/things to do in the town!!
- 2/5
We had to pay a pet fee as it is but I would appreciate a refund for it seeing as the room wasn't even clean when we arrived.
- 5/5
Great motel within a few minutes walking from downtown Flagstaff. Quick checkin, comfy bed, roomy room. Highly recommended!
- 4/5
Affordable. Room was renovated. Modern and clean. Road noise due to proximity to main road alleviated with ear plugs. Only one lock on room entry door (which leads directly to parking lot) No hot breakfast. Instead oranges, donuts, and decent tasting instant coffee. I would stay here again provided the price stays low :-)
- 3/5
Room was clean and quiet, but rather spartan. No coffee maker in room, only instant coffee in office. Some pre-packaged pasteries in the office in the morning.
- 4/5
Pretty decent renovated Route 66 motel, good coffee and nice staff, central Flagstaff location.
- 4/5
Central location. One block away from a nice coffee shop.
- 1/5
returned to room after office was closed and the lock on the door was frozen shut. Tried calling the after hours number and ringing the office bell numerous times and after 20 minutes the staff member finally woke up. They were unable to unlock the door as well and gave us an let us stay in another room till morning. I needed medication out of my luggage and figured a way to get in through the window. It turns out the window was surprisingly easy to open from the outside. They next morning I told them I was able to get in through the window so they didn't need to call the locksmith. They hadn't called the locksmith and it was sort of an after thought that we were locked out of our room with our luggage and belongings. Spend a few extra bucks, there are plenty of other motels in Flagstaff.

Great step back in time along historic Route 66. Rooms were clean and easy check-in and check out.

Room was tidy, but not clean.. Bare essentials, fridge was old and not too cold. This was close to NAU so that was a great thing. Parking was extremely tight

Great Homebase for our weekend in Flagstaff! A quick walk to Matador Coffee for breakfast and easy to get to campus to visit our son. Thanks!!

One of the friendliest checkins that I've had in a long time. Perfect central location for getting anywhere in Flagstaff.

The place is a motel, renovated, close to downtown sights and restaurants. All walking distance. Rooms were clean, but clean in that floors were still damp with

Excellent hotel. It is older so a little dated but the cleanliness really made up for that. Would be happy to stay again. Would have been almost perfect if it had a microwave. We really did enjoy our stay here. Bed was excellent as well and good pillows.

Was satisfactory . Clean and nice

Excellent service from the gentleman at the counter. Coffee, hot chocolate, and tea are available by the front desk. There is also a microwave only at the front desk which we used to make popcorn. It is an older motel, which was recently updated. Clean and comfortable. Five minute walk from downtown. Cable TV available. No streaming services. Excellent value and location.

This is an old motel that escaped demolition with repairs, some new fixtures, flooring, and large Route 66 framed pictures. There was a strong odor of Pine-Sol, and my feet got black from the dirty floor. The mattresses were o.k., but slid around on the fiberboard boxes. Older A/C units work sort of o.k. Plumbing is good, just don't bump your head on the shower head!

Bien dentro de lo que cabe

The only cons are minor. Small towels and pillows. Would stay here again. Walking distance to Historic Brewing and downtown.
