We stay at the “L” motel because we don’t believe in paying exhorbitant prices. It works for us.

It was great. Couldn’t get the tv to work. The staff walked right over and fixed it. I like that it was right down town.

We were with a group of three others with 2 rooms. My room was the worst. The maintenance was really bad. I stayed there 7 years ago and it was doable. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough this time. Differently will not go back.

Probably the top 5 worst hotel i have ever stayed at. The linen and pillows were very old, shower drained very slowly so you stood in ankel deep water that flowed into the floor. We had ants all over our floor when we came back one night, you could not hear the tv if the ac was on. Tha5s just in the room. The outside look horrible and run down. Chipping paint, weeds and long grass, trash all over, and a funky smell at ice machine. I guess you do get what you pau for.

Have stayed here before many times and will stay again. It is small, seems safe, has a great location though traffic can sometimes be an issue. Rooms are not bad. outside is dirty looking but, it is a decent basic place to stay in Flag. recomended esp if on the budget.

Great value option for a bed & shower. The room was clean and the linens smelled clean. The shower was good & hot. The wall mounted HVAC unit was pretty loud.

Simple no frills hotel room. The biggest plus is its proximity to NAU and Old Town Flagstaff. The bed was comfortable though.

An older hotel that needs some work. The floors hasn't been swept well. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

This is a very ran down hotel. Homeless in the front of hotel. I didn't want to even shower in bathtub. My daughter wanted to sleep in our car. The window covering was to small to even cover the whole window. The Tv didn't work at all. I wish i had something nice to say but i cant think of anything!

This place, although it is not high-end price wise, could use a lot of maintenance and love. I will comment the mattress was okay

Total dump. Disgusting. Dirty. Gross. Bed was uncomfortable. Smelled horrible. Don’t stay here ever. Better off sleeping in the ditch.

The check-in and checkout procedure was quick and easy. The photos of the room displayed on Expedia do not match what the room actually looks like. You get what you pay for. Linens were fine. Mold under the restroom sink. Fridge and microwave were a plus. Parking was fine but be wary if you have more than 1 car, they do not track cars parked in the lot. Heater works. Walkable distance to downtown and plenty of food options walking as well. Gas station across the street. No problem with next door rooms and guests.

Everything worked (tv, remote, ac, shower). Bed was comfortable. Good pillows, not so soft. Room smelled clean.

It was a day that was cold and it had snowed and there was nobody in the lobby to check in the door was locked and the front desk person had left a woman who had locked herself out waiting out in the cold weather until he came back from somewhere off property The bathroom was not clean the room was very dated up into including that the laminate flooring was splitting at the joints either from sagging or dry rot underneath. The entrance way in the front door had no way to wipe your feet no kind of rug on the outside or on the inside which of course made your first step inside the room slippery

It's a reasonable motel to stop for a night or two with a free parking and 24h reception on Route 66. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, all my requests have been met promptly. The location is convenient, with easy access and close to shops and restaurants. The place has seen better days.

It was ok A leak under sink (container to catch) tv wonky on the wall. However it was clean and the bed was comfortable As above

The staff was really helpful, I’m happy with the guy who had thoughtfully helped with the checkin but the blankets were so bad that they smell like fecal. I wish nobody gets something like that. I was a returning customer but i had better hopes for this motel and regretted choosing it.

I love the staff here, they always take care of me.... always clean rooms and very quiet....

It’s quiet, convenient, and very affordable. The hotel is quite old, and while the cleanliness isn’t great, it’s still acceptable for the price. The outlet next to the sink is broken, so I couldn’t use my hair dryer there. The table and floor were a bit dirty, but again, considering the low cost, it’s manageable.

Bed was stiff, floor was wood and was rotting. Bugs were coming through bathroom window.

The staff is wonderful and does a nice job with what they have to work with. The floors and walls are rickety and it really needs a total remodel from floors on up…just painting won’t get it. So may old Route 66 motels have owners that have spent the money to do a total upgrade. The L has a great location to downtown, it should take the next step!!!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the room was extremely clean. All the bed sheets were 100% cotton—bright white and perfectly fresh. Everything felt very well taken care of, and the overall experience was excellent.

Loved the newer bathroom fixtures, waterfall shower, tile, complementary body wash and shampoo in the shower, comfortable bed and pillows. No phone was a plus, too. The floors and baseboards could have been a bit cleaner. Shower stall a bit small. The heater/AC didn't have a control where I could adjust the thermostat. Could have used a thicker blanket on the bed, but I remedied this by picking up a blanket at the Goodwill around the corner. The overhead light and bedside lamp did not appear to be wired correctly. Could not use the lamp independently. The light switches, outlets, shower fixtures not affixed properly, were loose/hanging off the wall. The motel is right on a very busy road, so very noisy. Good thing I brought my earplugs!

Location on route 66. Also the rooms inside do match the building that's been through some wear and tear from the seasons. And the water is very warm!. You get nervous at first when you pull in and you see the condition of the outside of the building. That's it though when you get inside it's okay especially for the price.

The manager was pleasant and helpful. He fixed the bathroom sink that wouldn't drain right away. The ice machine worked. The floors were filthy. If you walked around barefoot for 5 minutes the whole bottom of your foot would be black. Pieces of the floor kept breaking off and sticking to our shoes and feet.The toilet paper holder was broken and hanging out of the wall. The tub was cracked and dirty, the sink was cracked, floor in bathroom cracked, paint peeling off wall in bathroom, tub faucet loose. No coffee in rooms or lobby.

Upon pulling up, I was pretty nervous because the outside looked less than desirable. However, staff was pleasant and room was better than I expected...one bed was broken but they fixed it right away. Microwave in room was a plus...heater worked well. For the price it served it's purpose

Door frames hanging off the wall, taps have non existent pressure. A lovely artic feel while sleeping, woke up with frostbite. Predecessors items in room. At least there was 1 plug to share, and the parking was accessible. 10/10 for the experience with the boys

Very dirty poor Hotel

Room condition is terrible, not well taken care of or cleaned. Beds are hard and pillows were flat. Room had a gas heater that got too hot while another room had electric unit that didn’t warm properly. Refrigerator would not stay on, the plug was loose and kept coming out of the socket and would keep turning off and on throughout the night. Was not a good nights sleep.

Honest review of the hotel for one night stay it’s nice. The room itself is a little rundown, but overall quiet and clean. The picture of the room before booking is deceiving. The room in person doesn’t look that but it’s clean. Beds have bedbug covers and it’s nice.

Warm,clean and quiet

Parking was easy. Checkin was seamless. Decent property and VERY good bang for the buck. Restaurants and coffee type places within a short walk. Basically across the street from the North end of Northern Arizona University, and only 1/2 mile to historic Downtown Flagstaff

Pros: Available fairly last minute Pet friendly Family (3 beds) room options Warm heater Friendly desk clerk Cheaper than most (but you get what you pay for) Cons: The hotel room overly strong of cleaner but the blankets were definitely NOT clean. Damaged walls, poor water pressure, missing toilet paper holder, bugs, loud refrigerator, very uncomfortable beds, lack of enough electric outlets. The whole place just felt gross/neglected and we spent an extremely restless night trying to get very little sleep. Also the parking lot is super cramped and difficult to manuever in.

The bed was not comfortable at all...one side was worse than the other and it was way too high (I'm short) and I had to climb in. And the mini-fridge leaked. But they let us check in early which was very appreciated.

My children and I had a wonderful stay! We are greatly looking forward to our next trip to Flagstaff and staying at the L motel.

Disgusting interior and the motel associate knocked on the door and woke us up at 8am asking when we’d be checking out, even though we didn’t have to leave until 11am.

The bathroom was nasty with old rot and stains, made my skin crawl. AC in room would shut completely off after about an hour. Had to be turned back on every time. Ice machine was off, however upon request they turned it on. Staff was very nice. Property was just BAD.

It's clean, the wifi is fast, the shower water is hot, the tv works, the bed is comfortable. As a guy traveling solo, that's all I'm looking for, and it checks the boxes.

My husband and I stopped through Flagstaff for one night unexpectedly and needed a pet friendly hotel. We thought this place would be a basic, clean place to stay. Unfortunately, the pictures shown do not match what the facility is actually like. For example, pictures show a clean updated bathroom, but ours had a cabinet with splintered wood, toilet paper roll holder was broken off the wall, flooring was warped, shower had black mildew in all corners, sink was gross.

Hotels as they're totally misleading. As soon as we arrived we immediately went to the host and told them we didn't want to stay. He said no problem, I understand. Asked about getting a refund, said he would honor, just reach out to Hotels and let them know. Of course that didn't turn out to be the case. Never did get money back and the whole situation left such a sour note with me that I am in the process of cancelling my Hotels.com membership!

It was very dirty and hazardous to anyone's heath and should be condemned. Shut down till they fix the issues or renovate it is very hazardous to anyone's heath to breathing the mold that's everywhere

Not a beautiful place, but a good economy stay. Clean. There was a 3:30 am disturbance outside my door which screwed up my stay. Assuming this wasn’t a regular occurrence, I would recommend the property for a budget stay.

Small rooms, noisy, dirty, and uncomfortable beds. Roaches in the bathroom. At least the ac worked decently, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. Do yourself a favor and spend a few more bucks and get something better.

Should have gone with my gut on this as my last stay here sucked. The price was right however, compared to other options, so I gave it a second chance. The bed was comfy but that’s about it. This place needs major renovations and repairs. Felt like I was staying in a squatters den. Should have just saved my money and slept in my vehicle.

Owner was rude would not stay there again.

We stayed in a one bedroom unit so ine bed had a door. The room was clean and spacious. Many things including the toilet roll holder were broken, but the room worked. The air conditioner was in the one room so the door couldnt be closed or else the rest of the room was too hot. The towels were also dingy. The neighborhood is within walking distance to many restaurants so that was nice.

This spot looks terrible outside & inside isnt much better. We arrived, checked in and went into the room then immediately realized the hotel wasnt clean enough and posed a possible health risk to a family member who had a transplant. The room looked run down and the bathroom was even worse. We immediately contacted customer service to cancel the trip and we went to another hotel. We left so quickly i didnt even take photos of the room.

The downside: old furnaces and poor insulation meant that it was hard to keep the room from being either too hot or too cold. The mattress I slept on was uneven (had a deep indent on one side), but I was super comfy in it with the pillows arranged perfectly. Also the bathroom didn't have good ventilation and ended up very wet from steam. Overall, the price was low but our stay was fine. For a cheap place to crash after snowboarding, it worked.

It was alright stay. The place is very old and needs a lot of fixing but it was quiet. The room could use some chairs and a side table. Also could use a coat rack instead of dumping coats on the bed as you get it the room. But we had 3 queen beds in our room.

This is a good value for the money, and internet works well. Close to downtown but not in easy walking distance. No frills, but does have microwave & minifridge.
