Reviews
The hotel reviews indicate a mixed sentiment. While many guests appreciate the cleanliness, affordability, and friendly staff, there are recurring complaints about noise from trains and traffic, as well as issues with room cleanliness and breakfast options.

Renovated but still great! Will stay again. Oh! Train tracks are nearby. If you’re a light sleeper, maybe this isn’t the place for you.

This is a recently renovated roadside motel. Nicely done and comfortable. Know that it is a roadside motel so you will hear some traffic and train noise. Price was very affordable for Flagstaff on a holiday week-end. It was safe, comfortable, and I slept well. Would stay there again.

Handy location near highways Rooms show some age but no serious problems with them

It was fine to stay in one night.

Great location, could walk into downtown Flagstaff, staff were great and friendly, clean room and great value
- 3/5
The motel is located on Route 66 across from the train tracks - and the trains runs ALL night. The bed was comfortable, towels were thin and face cloth dingy gray. There is nothing special about this place. The check in girls were helpful and there is a Dutch Bros nearby for coffee in the morning. Lots of places to stay in the area!
- 5/5
Nice clean rooms. Comfortable beds and awesome staff.

The room itself was basic and clean, but the overall property is showing its age and seemed dirty. There was no parking after returning from dinner, so I had to wait until a staff person left, to be able to park. Breakfast is not offered. This motel compares to an older Motel 6. I don't usually write reviews, but since the price was $250 for one night, I was very disappointed. I would not recommend, unless you had no other options. The staff person upon arrival was very pleasant.

A nice simple hotel room. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Could have been a little cleaner, but nothing too bad. Would stay here again. Price was right.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Parking is easy and the rooms were spacious especially the bathroom area
- 5/5
Great staff, nice hotel and very clean and comfortable for the price. Would recommend it to everyone especially because they are pet friendly! Definitely will stay here again!

This hotel was just....OK. I was expecting more since there was an 8.8 review rate, but when we got there, it didn't meet that expected rate. It was decently clean, but the floors were in need of a good mopping, and there was dust in one of the corners. The room we stayed in was a 2 queen room. It had adequate counter space in the sink area of the bathroom, but the toilet was squeezed into the room with the shower, and the door to it was right in the way of the toilet, unless you closed the door. Overall, it was just OK. I'd rate it at a 5 out of 10.
- 5/5
Love staying at this motel. Cheap price for a great motel!
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
Great for an overnight in flagstaff!
- 1/5
My stay was terrible. The room had a bad stench order. The floors was not clean had to be mop. The shower was very dirty. The coffee was not refilled, it had the empty wrapper in the coffee station. Not really my idea of a good stay.
- 5/5
Exactly what we need more of. Basic no frills but clean and inviting. Friendly staff and safe feeling. Outstanding.
- 5/5
Great place if you want to stay somewhere and save some money. Rooms were nice and clean, with a good worring tv so I cant complain
- 5/5
Newly remodeled
- 4/5
The air unit made a noise that sounded like rain on a plastic tarp, the pillow cases didn’t seem washed and one smelled bad, and the tv volume was all the way up but we had to turn on the closed captions because it was so low you can barely hear it.
- 5/5
The only bad thing with Kings House is their coffee. Here's a tip to see some beautiful gourges & mountains: drive north on 89 to Cameron and turn left on scenic route 64.
- 5/5
Many hotels don't always give you fresh towels each day. No a big deal, just go to the front desk and ask them for more. The main issue with all hotels in Flagstaff route 66 is the closeness of the trains...even if you're a few blocks away, you can hear and feel the rumble of the numerous cargo trains that pass through. The area has a lot of breweries, coffee shops etc. (night life), so, your next UBER ride might be expensive.
- 5/5
The best motel for cheap price! Love staying at Kings and the staff are awesome.
- 1/5
Mice hotel mice room nice people
- 5/5
Room was clean and well maintained, quiet.
- 5/5
Nice and comfy place to sleep. Kind and polite staff.
- 2/5
False advertisement with free breakfast. They no longer serve it!
- 5/5
The property was clean and quiet enough for a great night's sleep. Check-in was a breeze, and the location was very convenient for everything I was doing in Flagstaff.
- 5/5
Great location, convenient to all services, friendly helpful staff.
- 5/5
The hotel rooms are pretty much clean and the rooms are spacious. I always love staying at this hotel.
- 4/5
You get what you pay for. Listing on Expedia states there’s breakfast but there’s none. I guessed as much for the price I paid but better to be transparent about it and give accurate i fo at booking.
- 4/5
The area has older buildings, but seemed quite safe for 2 women in their 70s. The pool has been paved over. The room was clean. Great value for the price.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Clean, liked the layout of the room.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. No frills place to sleep on our one-night trip to Flagstaff to pick up our kids from NAU for the weekend.
- 5/5
What a delightful stay I had! Super easy to find, nice inviting staff, well kept outside appearance. And the room was fantastic! Recently redone, it is clean, safe, and secure. Lots of parking too.
- 5/5
Probably a little older property but totally upgraded and beautiful. Beds were so soft I slept 3 hours longer than I usually do. Staff upon check in was so nice, I felt very welcomed! I would definitely stay again if I’m back in Flagstaff!
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful.
- 5/5
The only downfall is that it is a bit noisy- right on Rte. 66 and also across from the RR tracks so there’s train noise. I wore earplugs so was not bothered by noise during the night. I’m so happy to have found a decent place to stay for all my Flagstaff trips!
- 3/5
They need to improve their cleaning.
- 4/5
Was clean and nice
- 4/5
The room was small but well kept. The heater was excellent and the bed comfortable. It was a very reasonably priced room. The only problem was that the motel is situated across the street from an active railroad track and the one had no trouble knowing when the engines were passing.
- 4/5
The motel was fine if you just need a reasonably priced place to stay. It's about an hour from Sedona and 1.5 hours to The Grand Canyon, and 10-15 minutes from Flagstaff airport.
- 4/5
Area was clean room was clean.
- 5/5
Yes room great.Close to great food.
- 5/5
Was a clean and comfortable room. Staff was very friendly too. Great value!
- 4/5
Grand Canyon wasn't far away, bathroom and towels had hair in them. Coffee pot wasn't complete. Bed was comfortable.

- 5/5
Room was clean, is an hour drive from the Grand Canyon/Sedona. Overall no complaints with my stay.
- 3/5
Decent room for the price. If you’re a light sleeper be aware that trains (across the street) run all night.
- 5/5
Overall good!
- 5/5
Room was very comfortable and clean and staff friendly.
- 5/5
Clean, room had everything I needed. Great location.
- 5/5
Front desk was fantastic. Room was super clean quiet. And CHEAP.
- 1/5
Horrible!! Missing 2 chargers and a perfume. Won’t be coming back.
- 3/5
The shower was kind of dirty and the proximity to the railroad tracks made it hard to sleep. It didnt seem like the walls or door did anything to make it seem like the trains weren't right outside.
- 4/5
Room was a little outdated..but comfortable bed..needs new pillows. You will hear the train at night. Good location close to everything and staff was friendly. For a one night stay it was good.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful checking in to our room. The room was very clean and very comfortable.
- 4/5
I liked the room , it was clean
- 5/5
Staff was great and the room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
I would have no reservations about staying there again.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly and helpful but our room definitely needs a deep clean. The most irritating thing though was having a fitted sheet so old that the elastic didn't keep the sheet tight at all. By morning the bottom sheet was half undone, all wadded beneath me.
- 4/5
I have already booked a stay for a future stay as I was very pleased.
- 5/5
I forgot to get her name, but the girl at the front desk was SO sweet, friendly, and helpful. We travel to flagstaff from Phoenix a couple times a month during snowboarding season and have stayed at a bunch of motels in the area and I personally found this one to be the best so far. For the price and a quick one nighter stay, it’s really fantastic. Clean, newly updated rooms (or at least appeared to be), safe, and great location. 100% will stay here again!!
- 5/5
Great price. Clean room. Heater actually heated. Great place to stay !
- 4/5
The staff were great and fun to converse with! After our long trip we were excited to rest, the room was clean & I was able to get a good night's rest. Thank you!
- 4/5
front desk was courteous
- 3/5
No amenities at the time of my stay. Fairly noisy, would not be for light sleepers. Highway is always busy and railroad nearby.
- 5/5
Very convenient and good value for money
- 5/5
The rooms are always clean. The Front Desk service is excellent. I never have any issues, the location is great. Keep up the GREAT Job. We will be staying there again.

- 5/5
Staff very helpful. Clean rooms.
- 5/5
The room was clean, and spotless! The beds were also comfortable.
- 5/5
The front desk staff were smiling, friendly and courteous. The room was clean, smelled fine. The bathroom was also well maintained and clean. We were only in town for one night, but the stay was enjoyable.
- 5/5
Is clean and respectful thank yall to be nice with us happy to stay at Arizona
- 5/5
clean and quite
- 5/5
Staff helpful and friendly. Room clean and comfortable
- 3/5
The property was clean, but the rooms need deep cleaning. Showers and bathroom need better cleaning
- 5/5
Staff were so sweet :) Room was clean and the shower was rlly nice
- 4/5
Super nice staff, older place in a historic part of town. Good price, could use some updating and maybe a cleaner bathroom. MartAnne's restaurant just up the road was awesome.
- 4/5
The room was updated and clean and the front desk was very friendly. There was a fair amount of noise late at night due to the proximity to the road and in the very early morning as guests were leaving. Would suggest staying away from the stairwell, if possible.
- 5/5
I enjoyed staying here. It’s close to some places I like to visit, and it was cost effective. Plus, the individuals at the counter were really nice.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff - convenient location - nice rooms
- 5/5
We always stay at the Kings house motel when we come to Flagstaff. The staff are super friendly. The rooms are updated and clean and we’ve never ever had an issue with noise. It’s really peaceful.
- 5/5
Room was cozy, bathrooms showers were good, bed was comfy
- 4/5
It was good for a drive through night. Only thing was that the temp was 14 degrees, and unit below us was probably unoccupied and the heater off because the floor was COLD to walk on. Otherwise great value.
- 5/5
Comfortable and affordable accommodation, thank you
- 3/5
Staff was nice. Fine place to stay for a few nights. There was just random things wrong with it, like the sink wouldn’t drain, the drawer handle was broken, the tv remote was broken, the sheets repeatedly fell off, and they had no conditioner. But there wasn’t bugs or anything gross so I guess that was nice also very close in proximity to most things.
- 4/5
Room was cozy. Staff was friendly. Came from NM and enjoyed our stay. Although, I did step on a stair that was broken due to less than adequate welding. Everything was great
- 5/5
Comfortable Bed. I slept better than i had in years.
- 5/5
Stayed at this property on two separate occasions. It's a simple place, clean with updated bathrooms at a good rate. You have a fair amount of road and train noise, but not enough to interrupt your sleep.
- 4/5
The room was clean, well maintained and conveniently located.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean , staff was very nice ..
- 5/5
Very nice front desk staff
- 3/5
Room was clean but sheets were quite worn with holes. People next to us had a crying baby and barking dog, walls were extremely thin. Train across the street, although the horn never blew it sound like a jet taking off throughout the night.
- 4/5
Welcoming staff at check in and clean room.
- 5/5
The room was clean and everything was in good shape. The staff was friendly. The hotel is fairly basic, but had everything we needed for anmovernight stop and we felt like it was a good value.
- 5/5
The room
- 1/5
The shower is barely dripping, the towels are very small and if the poor quality. The coffee machine and the microwave are broken…. The property ad never mentioned that trains go nearby on the regular basis… Free breakfast? No. Just boiled water. Never ever staying here again.
- 2/5
Staff was great. Rooms were just regular motel rooms. The door had a huge gap, you can hear the busy road constantly. We ended up leaving in the middle of the night and drove home because we just couldn’t sleep.
- 5/5
Conveniently located and undergoing nice upgrades. It’s a shame the pool was filled in 😕
- 5/5
Great location.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was kind and helpful !
- 5/5
Helpful staff
- 3/5
Parking was good but the entry and exit doesn't have a proper marking, the curb should have a barricade so that it's visible
- 5/5
The front desk was courteous and was welcoming. A few people showed up at once to check in and she took each one with a smile and was expedient but engaging with each one of us in turn. As an older inn on Route 66 the room was still clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
The room was great for the price. Modest size and basic, what you should expect for a roadside motel. The room was updated and comfortable. I would return without hesitation. Heat and AC worked great.
- 4/5
Very good place to stay for few nights. The room I stayed in is clean and spacious for one person. Needs new shower head and the train noise is noticeable and can be bothersome. Overall, very good place for commuters. I will stay here again.
- 4/5
Clean room. Nice staff. Door was hard to open and no hair conditioner. Trains going by often, across the street.
- 2/5
Traveling across the USA I made reservations for rooms along the way. I burnt out my brakes coming through the California mountains and found a Mercedes mechanic in Anaheim. called from the repair shop and asked to delay a night. It was less than 24 hrs before my check in time so they kept my full payment, but told me if I could get there before checkout I was welcome to sleep for a couple hours. Bummer on top of repairs. I went to Flagstaff the next day, stayed at a different hotel and continued on my way. I understand rules are rules…
- 4/5
The room was pretty clean other than the floor which had a couple of stains. But the bedding was great, comfortable beds and pillows, and a very clean bathroom. Very surprised by the quality considering it's pet friendly. The only reason for it not being five stars for me, is the stairs were very difficult for my dog to navigate since they are metal instead of concrete and don't have backs on the steps. So my dog kept overshooting them. Not a big deal, but my bathroom didn't have any towels and I didn't notice until I got in the shower. Since I was already a bit wet, I called the front desk, they mentioned they weren't able to run any up, so I ended up having to flag down a housekeeping lady who very graciously handed a few. Other than that, a wonderful experience.
- 3/5
I stay here often as the price is fantastic, but this time I had a challenging experience. The room they checked me into looked like it had been cleaned but when pulling back the sheets there was hair on the pillow cases and sheets. Maybe the housekeeper had dark hair, but wasn't a good look. I called the front desk and they moved me to another room with apologies. The second room's deadbolt wouldn't engage as the deadbolt wasn't aligned with the opening. Looks like someone has tried to cut the metal to make it fit but it didn't. I ended up pushing the desk against the door for some added security as I was too tired to move again. Great price, nice location to town and restaurants. I will stay there again as my previous visits have been good. Just a bit off this time. Staff is very friendly so happy to try again.
- 4/5
Thw hotel was nice. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. The location is convenient, walking distance to store. I would recommend King house Motel to family and friends
- 4/5
Clean rooms, comfortable bed and pillows.
- 4/5
I like this hotel. The rooms are clean the staff are friendly. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
- 5/5
Parking was easy, plenty of parking, friendly staff, clean room, it was quite, and comfortable
- 5/5
This was our second time staying here during our travels and it did not disappoint. The staff is very courteous, communicative, and the rooms are comfortably clean. There is ample parking close to the room entrances, plus food choices nearby down the street. We'd definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Reception was great, room was clean!
- 2/5
The front desk girl was very friendly! But the room was dingy. The pillows on the bed were lumpy and small. Everything felt old and in need of repairs. The bathroom was cramped. And the door kept getting stuck to where we had to yank out really hard to get it open.
- 4/5
Very polite reception & checkout assistance - no amenities - just coffee
- 5/5
Everything was great. Except one night I had to sleep in my car because the key card didn’t work and nobody’s there after 11 o’clock!
- 5/5
Thank you
- 4/5
Nice room and great price. Only issue was the TRAINS! They run every few minutes. All night!
- 4/5
Staff was great, room was clean-for the most part.

Staff was friendly, room was clean. Money-conscious place to stay while in Flagstaff
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Easy, safe parking
- 4/5
Very outdated and old but clean
- 5/5
The lady at the desk was absolutely amazing! Room was great! Very clean! Laundry machines were definitely an added bonus
- 4/5
Nice hotel but the pillows were lumpy. Regular pillows would be nice.
- 5/5
Great location. Room was updated and modern but still clean and simple
- 5/5
Clean and very comfortable. Great location and was quiet despite roadway near by. Loved that they allow pets. Friendly staff. Would stay again when passing through.
- 5/5
The gal at the front desk was exceptional. She was friendly and helped us find the perfect place for dinner. Our room was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend this taste of Route 66 lodging.
- 5/5
Suggestion - TVs should have apps enabled so I could used my Netflix/youtube/Starz account to see the shows I like....
- 1/5
The room felt completely neglected. As soon as we opened the door, we were hit with a strong smell of weed and cigars. The bedsheets were covered in hair and had visible stain marks. We had to go back down to the lobby at 10:30 PM — after travelling for 11 hours — to get new sheets, which we then had to change ourselves. To let the smell dissipate, we were forced to keep the door open for hours in literally freezing temperatures. The next morning, the lobby staff finally called us, changed the sheets, and cleaned the room, and I even had to take the trash out myself.Overall, this was an exhausting and unacceptable experience. After a long day of travel, we expected basic cleanliness and readiness — not to clean and air out the room ourselves in the middle of the night.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Clean room, courteous staff.
- 3/5
The only staff we saw was the receptionist. We stayed 3 nights but never was our room cleaned, trash taken out bed made. Towels changed, etc. Maybe this is just not part of the service but we were disappointed. Also, it was very noisy, between train noise, riad noise, and the noise of other guests we really didn't have a single undisturbed night. The room also needs a deep clean - sighlllns of red mold in the shower, stains down the bathroom wall where something has been spilled and not cleaned up, hair that was not ours on the bathroom floor and the popcorn on the upper side of the wall is just really dirty. Overall not a thrilling experience.
- 5/5
Great for a quick one night stay
- 5/5
The girl at the counter was very nice and patient. She was very busy when I came in and she took the time with no bad attitude to show room prior to getting it reserved! I would come again! Thanks for a great room!
- 5/5
Amazing value on historic Route 66! Rooms are very nicely updated. Large square footage. Nice touches throughout, like the built-in nightlight on the hair dryer holder. Very comfortable beds, beautiful shower. No breakfast (don’t believe google AI), but fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in each room. The trains do run out in front, right across the highway, but this just added to the historic ambience. We both had a good nights sleep here. Highly recommend Biff’s Bagels for breakfast, and don’t miss the wonderful thrift store right across the street from Biff’s! If you’re up for some serious fun and a challenge, you MUST visit Flagstaff Extreme!!
- 1/5
Hotel room entrance dirty seem no one sweep. Sink water stuck , toilet seat not secure. Door security terrible anyone could break into, night stand electric outlet not working we need it to charge somewhere else. Still they charge $50 deposit for any damaged. Seriously. Nadty place glad we just need for 1 night.
- 5/5
Good stay.
- 5/5
Great value for the price.
- 1/5
Nothing is good about this property
- 5/5

- 5/5
Very friendly staff, clean room, a totally pleasant experience
- 5/5
Loved my dog felt at home.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable, nothing bad to say about this place. Amazing stay for the price!
- 3/5
Friendly staff. Nice shower. TV volume could not be heard.
- 4/5
Nice place to stay for the price
- 4/5
Bring earplugs if needed but otherwise nice little stay for a quick romp in flaggstaff
- 5/5
Friendly staff and comfortable beds!
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and informative.
- 5/5
The best place to stay! Comfortable beds, nice clean rooms! Price is very good also.
- 4/5
Parking
- 4/5
Good stay for the money, better than M0t3l 6 for less money.
- 3/5
This is an inexpensive stay, and for that, its a good value. No flaws or red flags. Better than a M0t3l 6 or S+p3r 8 for even less money. When I unexpectedly turned around and came back to Flagstaff, I went back and re-registered rather than look around so I guess that says a lot.
- 4/5
It was a nice clean place, with a very friendly staff
- 5/5
Room was very nice and night clerk was kind and friendly.
- 5/5
Reception was nice and helpful. Rooms are great for the price! Slept like a king.
- 5/5
Ok overall
- 4/5
Andrea on the front desk is off the chain. She is by far the best thing about this property. She understands hospitality exceptionally well and knows how to make guests feel most welcome. GM needs to treat her REALLY well.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent at this hotel, very clean and comfortable, and the staff for so nice and helpful.
- 3/5
The trains run all night, about 1/4 mile from this location
- 5/5
Quick check in and clean comfortable room.
- 4/5
Good location, friendly staff. Only problem we had was the towel bar fell off the wall and that there was mold on the bathtub shower curtain. Really good value for what we got.
- 5/5
Rooms have been renovated. Staff at check in was very helpful and courteous. Would stay here again if I’m in town. Great stay on Route 66.
- 5/5
Nice, clean and good value for the money…great location within a mile of old downtown.
- 5/5
Andrea was the epitome of customer service. Followed up and was very fun yet professional throughout. Definitely give her a raise. Even if she got a rasie last weekend, she deserves another
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Thought the train running across the street would be a problem, but I slept well. Only two negative, I have very bad knees and couldn’t get a ground floor room, so I had to take the stairs several times. Also, was as far away from the office as possible, where there is the only ice machine. But a good value -
- 5/5
The hotel has clean rooms and a nicely upgraded bathroom.
- 5/5
Really inspect the room make sure everything cleaned
- 5/5
Room had basic necessities but the overall atmosphere was incredible. The staff was so incredibly kind and that bed was the most comfortable thing I’ve ever slept on. The sheet and pillow combo was chefs kiss! I want to know the brand of everything so I can buy it all for myself. I had a king so I’m not sure what the queen rooms are like. I traveled across country and stage in plenty hotels, this was by far THE BEST. Hidden gem with great value!!
- 5/5
The staff is very fast and accessible to the small requests that one makes, it is clean and spacious, I feel safe in this hotel
- 4/5
Very close to the busy train tracks and highway; limited amenities (no breakfast); tight parking; overall, okay for the price…you get what you pay for.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay here! This is a great budget friendly option and has everything you need. The staff was very attentive and responsive. The location is about a 5-6 min drive to get to downtown so really not bad! When we come back to flagstaff, this is probably our number 1 option.
- 5/5
Very friendly and accomodating young lady at check in finding me a lower level room as I have a bad knee
- 5/5
Very nice room and kitchen with utensils
- 5/5
Nice staff, clean remodeled rooms.
- 4/5
Parking was ok. Laundry service was fine.

However the bedroom floor was filthy, with chunks of dirt on the floor and cobwebs between the wall and the floor lamp. Room 101 is next to the housekeeping room , so it was noisy all-night and early in the morning.
- 5/5
Very comfy bed. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Perfect room for an overnight in Flagstaff. Close to downtown and lots of restaurants nearby. Friendly staff and a nice property.
- 5/5
It was surprisingly good.
- 5/5
Very clean, great service
- 5/5
All the staff we met were awesome. Glad we chose to stay and we will be back.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, great location, clean, good parking
- 5/5
I had my poster delivered before my check in and staff there accepted it and put it in the office. That's very nice of them. Very clean rooms. Staff very helpful and polite. Overall no issues. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
- 5/5
This os an older hotel, but well maintained, the staff is very nice and accommodating. I can't speak for all the rooms but our was newly updated. We didn't use the the pool but it look clean and very inviting. If we find ourselves in that town again we will be staing here, price is right, the room served us welk, and we had a pleasant stay.
- 4/5
I liked the property very much, well located, affordable and completely renovated, nice surprise.
- 5/5
Updated rooms. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
Beds are really comfortable compared to other hotels/motels
- 5/5
Bathroom floor and walls were dirty. Shower floor was dirty. Front door was dirty. Desk was dirty. We usually have a good experience staying here. Not this time.
- 2/5
Weekday price is fair, weekend price is not worth the value.
- 4/5
Nice place
- 4/5
Barking dogs, train noise were bothersome!
- 4/5
The property has an eclectic vibe.
- 4/5
Didn't use the laundry
- 5/5
Easy parking, pet friendly, clean, and amazing staff. Will stay here again!
- 2/5
This property is across the road from a very busy railroad switch. There were dozens of short trains and train engines running by all night long, sometimes 2 within 5 minutes. It was too loud and the building shook, so couldn't sleep.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Nice basic room, very clean, front desk helpful and friendly. Right on route 66 so a little noisy but not terrible
- 3/5
Check in was a breeze. Check out, too, though it's amazing they want you to physically return the key. Disappointed that breakfast no longer available and that lobby coffee was unavailable until 8 a.m. They had room coffee, but only enough to make one small cup of weak regular and one small cup of decaf. Towels were thin and small. Small bottle labeled shampoo. A sliver of soap. Nice hotel lacking amenities. Good for a night.
- 5/5
A bit dated and could use a deep clean. It was conveniently located close to I40.
- 4/5
Easy parking and friendly staff.
- 5/5
It was clean ...quiet and safe ...we like our stay...
- 5/5
I brought my dog ($25 extra fee) but she was welcomed and there is a nice walking path right across the street. That path also leads you just down the street to a nearby Fry's grocery store/gas station or a Starbucks in the other direction. All walkable. Restaurants nearby. The motel is across from the train railway. Upon arrival I worried about that a bit. I only heard one train all night. Blackout shades provide restful sleep and privacy. Plenty of updated outlets for electronic devices. WiFi is slow, I used my hotspot with no problem for streaming/work needs.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet rooms in a great location. Great value!
- 3/5
Good for the price
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, clean, convenient, friendly staff, great restaurants close by and quiet. Parking right in front of room.
- 5/5
Great service, nice, clean room, comfortable beds.
- 5/5
The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was clean. It was a nice comfortable stay for a quick trip. The proximity to the train means you do hear train traffic but overall a nice place and would stay again.
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Older but renovated quite nicely not the quietest trains running across street but comfortable for an overnight stay
- 4/5
Property is nice, beds are very comfortable and the shower is great. The only issue is something they have no control over. Freight trains going by throughout the night.
- 3/5
My sister and I are older and found the property dark at night and extremely noise during the day. The facility does have breakfast BUT it’s just for the tourist buses not for average hotel guests. Way to go to make you feel less. We will spend money elsewhere.
- 4/5
Front desk staff were wonderful. There was an issue with expedia where I was charged for two rooms. Your front desk managers immediately got me in contact with expedia who resolved the issue (refunded one room). That was great customer service.
- 4/5
Clean room, everything expected provided; walk to groceries, restaurants. Would be nice if continental breakfast were provided.
- 4/5
Nice clean place with friendly staff! Price was amazing.
- 3/5
Our room needed extra cleaning. The floors weren’t swept. The walls had smears on them, the counter tops weren’t clean as there were crumbs.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, two girls at the front desk were so kind to us
- 5/5
Fantastic property. The staff were excellent.
- 4/5
Clean room, outside could use some help but the staff were nice. The gal at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. If you want quiet you probably wont like any roadside motel but for thoseof us who grew up on the road its not bad. I felt safe here even with all the foot traffic. And super affordable I'll stay again if i come back this way.
- 5/5
This is a great hotel for the money. Check in was a breeze and room access was easy. Initially, the price caused some hesitation, but read the reviews and booked the room and was not disappointed. Would definitely stay there again when in Flagstaff.
- 5/5
Just walk next door to an excellent Mexican food! Was clean & not far off the freeway!
- 5/5
Excellent customer service and nice rooms
- 5/5
Clean room. Will be back
- 5/5
Person working the counter was very professional and extremely nice. The room was updated and clean.
- 5/5
lovely rooms, clean comfrotable, fridge and microwave. Safe area near Sam's and Taco Bell and Frye's
- 3/5
The property was old but well maintained
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Pretty clean. Easy to access. Friendly staffs.
- 3/5
Baseline cleaning, bed was clean. There was another renter that was suspiciously watching us constantly
- 5/5
Very clean room, comfortable mattress and nice shower! We had a great Mexican dinner next door as recommended by hotel staff.
- 5/5
I just felt so nostalgic hearing the roar of the trains all night and the shaking windows lulling me to sleep reminded me of home
- 5/5
Clean rooms, nice check in guy.
- 4/5
A/C was a little noisy and you could hear traffic noise. Attention to detail recommended- mold spots in corners of bathroom
- 3/5
The lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful. The room was clean and the bathroom was huge. The AC wasn’t the greatest. There is a train that runs in front of the motel all night long. We had obnoxious neighbors in room 101 and 106 that were banging on doors and talking loudly out front from 2 am to 4am. I’m not sure if we will stay again.
- 5/5
Older property but room was clean and seemed upgraded. Shower was really nice. Bed was soft. Parking right next to room. Exterior doors need to be upgraded, but overall great room for the price.
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful!
- 5/5
Staff were super helpful when I had car issues the day I checked out.
- 5/5
Overall we had a great stay at this motel. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large and clean, and the front desk staff was courteous. Our only complaints were the road/train noise (to be expected on Rt 66) and uncomfortable thin pillows.
- 4/5
Great staff. Big room. Good shower. And pretty comfy bed.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly, the room was clean and everything worked. Would stay again!
- 5/5
I was super amazed with new bathroom.
- 3/5
It appeared surface clean, the linens seemed clean and freshly washed. Some repairs are needed, door was hard to push shut but was securable. A deep clean would be in order for the dirt along the edges/behind furniture in the room. Two different groups of people smoked right outside my door while the fan was running, bringing the smoke into my room. There is very little space to walk a dog and really pay attention to what they are sniffing as there was a needle and other trash at the edge of the property along the sidewalk. Better to take your dog to the park which is very close by. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave for simple food prep.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Quiet and friendly. Beautiful area.
- 5/5
I stayed at KHM 2 separate nights. The first night, the staff reached out and offered an upgrade. The 2nd stay, Sarah noticed that I would be arriving late so she called and emailed late check in instructions. Sarah also allowed me to check out late to get some extra rest. The rooms are clean and looked like they recently updated the interiors. I don't mind staying again, actually I would be happy to stay there again.
- 5/5
Everything was satisfactory. I especially liked the walk in shower.
- 5/5
New and updated rooms. Convenient location and friendly staff. Just found a few strands of hair in the bathroom shower and floor. But I give it a 5 star overall and I will return.
- 4/5
Fine for this type of property. Friendly efficient staff. Slight odor of cigarette smoke in the room, though they ask you to certify that you won’t smoke. People were smoking on their balcony, maybe it came from there.
- 5/5
The property is very close to the freeway, and is easy to find. It seems to be well taken care of, if a bit old. Our curtains had a few small stains on them, as well as some of the pillows. The sheets seemed clean, and I really appreciated the updated flooring and bathroom fixtures. Some reviews complained of road noise and the train, but with the door closed and the fan on it’s not very noticeable. The two ladies who checked me in were kind and friendly. All in all I definitely got what I paid for.
- 4/5
Very loud due to train tracks nearby. No fault of location
- 5/5
Very clean, nice newly remodeled bathroom and I think the best bed I slept on this trip! Almost as nice a my own bed! Friendly/helpful staff, highly recommend!
- 5/5
Clean and well maintained property
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. My only "complaint" would be there is no shampoo or etc in the shower, but fortunately that didn't impact my stay.
- 5/5
Good clean property
- 5/5
Everything about this hotel is wonderful excellent price excellent room wonderful water pressure very friendly hotel staff there’s even a washer and dryer there if you have an emergency. The parking was great. Excellent location to get around Flagstaff. The only complaint that I have of the entire trip was that I wish I would’ve brought my own pillow because the pillows in our room or lumpy.
- 5/5
The staff were very accomodating.
- 5/5
Spacious rooms and very clean!
- 4/5
Older motel but upgraded rooms. Beds are comfortable and shower was hot. You can hear the train but only woke me up twice.
- 2/5
Crappy
- 4/5
The motel was very reasonably priced considering it was updated. A comfy bed although the sheets hardly stayed on, and a large bathroom were very nice. An okay area walking distance to downtown and a couple of restaurants in the opposite direction of downtown were very convenient. The one drawback that no one has mentioned is the busy train track right across the street. Even with a “no horn” policy the rumbling and noise of the trains are very apparent and would keep a light sleeper awake.
- 5/5
Such a wonderful place to stay they are always clean friendly and all at a great price..thank you for a great night's stay
- 4/5
Comfortable
- 4/5
Clean, convenient and quiet. Anyone who stays along Route 66 knows there’s a train otherwise the motel itself is quiet. And the train doesn’t bother at night.
- 4/5
Sarah the front desk lady was super nice and helpful and explains everything well. The room is pretty good; I got 2 rooms for $60 from Expedia and it seems safe
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Very clean room. Staff especially friendly and accommodating to special needs. We’ll be back!
- 5/5
My stay here was great! Front desk, receptionist, Sarah I believe, it was awesome and helped out tremendously.
- 5/5
The property was well maintained and the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here.
- 2/5
The bathroom faucet had no hot water. And our keycards stopped working right before our visit ended. The beds were comfortable and clean. We stayed a very short time. Overall would not recommend unless they get a better clean.
- 5/5
Good price for a clean comfortable room!
- 5/5
We had a nice one night stay. Convenient to shopping. Comfortable room. A little dated, and floors needed more cleaning.
- 1/5
Management never told us there was continental breakfast sat morning,so we missed that. Hotel room was noisy, they were doing construction next door, very unhappy about hotel Would not recommend
- 5/5
Easy in and out, low rate
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable. Good location.
- 3/5
Older hotel. Some updates. Lobby is closed from 11-8 so no access to ice or vending machines. Pet friendly but no area for pets. Room was small but ok. Floor not cleaned/mopped. Beds very comfortable. Food available next door. Good for just a place to sleep. Would not stay again.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 3/5
Front desk gal was friendly and room was clean except that the room smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke. Everything else was great. Maybe consider having a deodorizing before the next nonsmoking guest checks in. Would have been excellent value for money if no smoke smell, with smell, just fair.
- 5/5
Everything went well thank you for having clean rooms
- 5/5
Nice place, clean comfortable rooms. Front desk staff very nice!
- 5/5
The room and bathroom was clean look like it had been renovated in the last year or two. The bed was comfortable
- 4/5
Wish the bed didn’t have so many lumpy areas but overall I sept well.
- 4/5
The property it good.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend it.
- 2/5
I paid for a room with two queens and got doubles instead.
- 5/5
Confortable beds
- 5/5
Great stay, and very charming for my taste.
- 5/5
Good motel. Simple. No frills. Nice rooms. Recently renovated. Right on route 66 and the outside area is noisy bit inside the room it’s not bad. Here just for one night to get out of the heat in the Phoenix area. Just a five minute drive to shopping in downtown area of Flagstaff. If you bring a dog or two, there is a fixed fee of $25 for the room, not per dog.
- 5/5
The staff was accommodating, the bed was very comfortable and the room was inviting.
- 1/5
Took a chance on this one given its location, however the room wasn’t super clean, dust on the floor, women’s hair in the bathroom as well as old stained towels and sheets that still showed the choice hotels brand, which is super tacky. Staff is not super helpful or nice. Shouldn’t have deviated from my normal few on the strip! I would avoid this one if you can !
- 4/5
Was a nice place friendly staff
- 4/5
Good service
- 5/5
Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Beds surprisingly comfortable and rooms are very nice. Already booked our stay for our trip back!
- 5/5
For the price, in this place is great! Very clean and the staff was very friendly!
- 4/5
Good place to stay for a night.
- 4/5
Clean room, comfortable bed.
- 4/5
nothing special
- 4/5
Had some issues to resolve with the neighboring room, but Sarah at the front desk was awesome and got it resolved right away! Really enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Had nice restful stay
- 5/5
Convenient, clean, and affordable option for lodging.
- 1/5
The room was dirty, and i ended up getting a rash on my neck from the pillow case seemed like it was dirty even tbough it looked clean,to touch it,it felt filthy
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. Most of what we did was on trails just north of town, so the location was great for us! Staff were very professional and kind. Price was excellent! Two things I would wish for: an ice machine accessible before 8 am, and larger bottles of shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion installed in bathroom instead of just a little bottle of shampoo and a bar soap in plastic. Nothing we couldn't work around, though--we had an insulated water bottle for ice and Fry's is practically next door. In room coffee suprisingly decent.
- 5/5
A good place to stay the only noise I heard was the train but still not bad, thanks
- 4/5
Need to update pillows.
- 4/5
Rooms were remodeled, beds ands and bathroom were good. Pillows lacking in what I prefer them to be.
