Translation results There was no breakfast; the front desk clerk arrived late and left early; no one is there between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m.; the elevator is old and dirty; they don't change the towels or the toilet paper; if you stay more than one day, they don't give you toilet paper or towels; terrible service.

This hotel shouldn't be in business. Upon our arrival, the photos posted online looked nothing like what we pulled up to. We checked in, walked into our room, finding mold covering the room, ceilings, walls, and lamp shades. In addition to the mold the smoke detector was literally taped to the wall - not being functional at all. Lastly, there is a pull out section on the night stand where we found drugs and drug paraphernalia. Went to the office where the "manager" said he had a different room that was much better. Checked it out - it seemed to be a little better so I said we would try it for the night. Upon getting ready for bed, the pull out bed in the couch was disgusting, had stains and rips all through the 3 inch mattress. Also, cables hanging out of the wall, broken chair on the balcony, and mold in the air vents. As soon as we got up in the morning, I told the manager we were not able to stay here to do unsanitary conditions and asked for a refund. I was told to contact Expedia and I did so. Expedia stated the hotel would have to approve a refund. After days of going back and forth and getting the run around from the "manager" at the hotel they issued a min refund and he stated the "reservations" department is the one who made that decision. I politely asked for their phone number so I could explain the situation and he said I couldn't talk to them, only he could. If I could give this hotel 0 stars I certainly would. BEWARE! They spray mold with bleach to cover it up.

Nice pool and patio; rooms overlook this space. Nice plants all around, too. Chairs and table outside of room overlooking pool/patio. Bathroom and floors weren’t the cleanest, with remaining hairs noted.

No problem I had was the coffee makers in the rooms.. I think they should clean them and when we made coffee it tasted like it was burnt. The lady gave us a new pot but not the coffee machine itself. I wish she would have gave us the new coffee pot machine and pot. I think that would have made a difference.

The property overall was clean, air conditioned and a good size but the room was extremely basic, bare bones, worn and very grotty. Hair dryer, most sockets and coffee machine not working nor coffee supplied. Needs some work and has potential to be a well located, good sized hotel.

This property has everything one can need but had one major issue. One simply can’t rest, there was so much noise from the others staying there, that I couldn’t sleep at all. The room smelled like mould and parking is very limited.

It’s a nice small place that is close to the beach. I feel like the pictures were not accurate but overall, it’s a motel.

Nice stay. Nobody was present for check-in, but a quick phone call and I was in my room within minutes. The property looks very tropical with chairs and places to enjoy outside. Pool looked refreshing, sad I didn't get a chance to enjoy. Staff was nice and friendly. Good location.. out of the way and yet close to the Las Olas area (20min) drive. 20 minute walk to water taxi. And, free off the street parking. I would definitely stay again!

The room was not that nice, the microwave wouldn't open unless it was unplugged. The bed sheets were stained and I had to put them on myself because the housekeeping was not on site. This property used to be nice but it has gone down hill.

This is the worst property I’ve stayed in. One of my door locks wasn’t working and staff told me that I’m upstairs anyway to just don’t worry about it. 😩

Nice pool with plenty of lounge chaises.

The property is a bit antiquated. Reminds me of old motels in the early 90s. My biggest issue is the pictures showed a room with a full size fridge, stove and microwave. My room had a mini fridge and mini microwave which was completely full of rust. Second biggest issue was the bugs in the bathroom. Dead bugs all over the bathroom I presume coming from a hole somewhere. The floors were all dirty. Noise level is about what you expect it wasn’t too bad. The pool area was nice. The area where the mini fridge was dirty and old like the walls looked dirty and incomplete. The air conditioner worked great. The location was perfect about a 4 min walk to the beach. 15 min walk to all the restaurants such as Aruba or Sushi Sake. I end up cutting my trip short as the cleanliness really bothered me. If you need somewhere to stay and won’t be in your room much then this would be the place to book.

Had a blast

You have to ask housekeeping every day for toilet paper & clean towels, but you must first return your dirty towels to them. You must catch the housekeeping when they are in the hallways working otherwise if you wait until evening, the office will be closed and you cannot get toilet paper or towel towels.

There's no one in the reception desk, it is hard to check in and check out. People lined up for check out and nobody was there.

The exterior is somewhat clean but definitely needs updating. The pool was clean daily. Inside the room, nothing was dirty, but many walls, trims, and cabinets showed wear. The bathroom looked pretty bad, broken tiles, rust, and we were only given two towels and a small set of toiletries meant for like one guest, but we were three people for a 5‑day stay. The housekeeper was wonderful and quickly provided what we needed. The kitchen area felt worn, with stained cabinets, an older stove with only two working burners, and limited cookware. The fridge and toaster were clean, but I didn’t feel comfortable using the coffee maker. On the bright side, we didn’t see any bugs, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable with clean bedding. Outlets were limited and awkwardly placed, so an extension cord would help. We didn’t have a car, but the Circuit electric shuttle made getting around easy and cheap.  This place doesn't have good insulation so we heard all the noise from the street. It was hard to sleep even with a loud speaker playing white noise.  If you know what to expect, this hotel can work as a budget option with excellent staff. For my personal preferences, I expected a bit more.

There is not a view of the ocean but the rooms are pretty nice and the pool is very attractive and clean ,, well kept and the Manager Oliver is a pleasure to deal with . A very good value . A 10 minute walk to the restaurants and music by the Ocean at Lauderdale by the Sea .

0 stars. Absolutely disgusting, worst hotel ive ever stayed at. We canceled remaining nights after the first night. If we had our rental car that night we would’ve slept in the car instead of the room because it was filthy. Bodily fluids all over the bed, including blood. Box springs filled with mould. I should’ve listened to the reviews, do your self a favour and do not stay here. Hotel manager was yelling at us and hung up after we complained. The Expedia customer service reps said they’ve never seen anything like it after we sent in the pictures, thankfully we got most our money back.

Our room had a terrible odor that only keeping the windows and door open at times helped. The furniture was mismatched and not super comfortable. In a pinch or one night stay just to sleep this motel is good for that. On the bright side, the pool was nice and the pool area included a lot of vegetation which I liked.

I am utterly appalled by the nightmarish experience I endured at this hotel—it was beyond unacceptable! The blatant disregard for the rules was astounding, with numerous guests puffing away in areas clearly marked as non-smoking. I suffered through three excruciating nights without any room service—no cleaning, no fresh towels, nothing! The noise level was intolerable; both the property and staff were excessively loud, carelessly handling their hotel cards like it was a circus. What happened next is absolutely horrifying: a hotel employee—whether a receptionist or some higher-up—handed out my room number to total strangers, people I had never met before that day! They actually came knocking on my door, which sent chills down my spine and left me questioning my safety. This is an outrageous violation of privacy and a severe breach of hotel confidentiality protocols! This travesty cannot go unpunished! While filing criminal charges isn't an immediate option, I will not hesitate to report this to the authorities and seek legal action for negligence. If I don’t receive immediate reimbursement for my expenses, I will escalate this to the police. This hotel must be held accountable for their gross incompetence and blatant irresponsibility and putting their guest in an UNSAFE situation!

We were there only for a few hours just to sleep to the first part of the night and catch a early morning flight. The room was clean and were provided with basic amenities and the staff was friendly.

The room was filthy, there was a huge hole in the door to the bathroom from what I augmented would be someone punched it, there was a 2 inch gap on the bottom of the main door between the door and ground…. It was like I walked into a movie seen, we walked down the road got food eat and was able to book a different hotel! They require a cash deposit when you check in and put it in a drawer with your name wrote on a piece of paper…. I am not a picky person but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone… the pictures online are deceiving!

Beautiful and clean pool, with handicapped access machine. Did not rate excellent only because there was no coffee available either in the room or elsewhere in the property. Otherwise great value for the price.

We were provided minimal amounts of toilet paper and towels. They don't really clean the nooks and crannies of the bathroom but the bedroom section was good.

There was no one there or on the after hours phone to answer to let us in our room the first night. I was terrified. Never been to this place, my daughters were with me I prepaid for our room and we had no place to stay. And I had a budget for our trip. Had to pay $140 to stay at a Best Western, thank god for them. We were not able to connect to the wi fi or stay connected at all the entire time. Tues-Friday. When we came Tuesday I asked for compensation to pay for the other room I had to rent and the manager acted like they were not the owners. Then later told me to call you. And you just called them and they lied to you as well saying the manager wasn’t there. They were. Then I’m supposed to call Expedia back for a 3rd time.

The pictures online are VERY misleading. This is a small 3 story, old hotel across from all the big nice shiny buildings. It smelled of VERY strong chlorine. A very outdated place.

This hotel is in terrible condition. Our room had a large hole in the bathroom door, the wall paint was splattered on the ceiling and floor, the door hinges were painted to cover the rust, there was a hole in our bedsheet, the hairdryer had yellow melted areas, and there was mold on the shower curtain. The bathroom did not have a vent and smelled after showers. The bathroom also had a window with a broken lock. The refrigerator leaked water and the water pooled in from of it. The area was loud on Monday and Tuesday nights from street racing cars and weekends are probably worse. The reception is not staffed in the evening after 6 p.m. and before 10 a.m. They only accept cash deposits. The only good thing I can say is the pool area was pretty and the other guests were courteous.

Noisy young people woke me up in middle of night. No manager on site. This is an old motel. The manager had the office locked at 7:30 pm when I arrived and people had to phone him so we could check in. He took a $5 deposit and was not on site when I checked out at 9:45 am. It was worth the loss of $5 to get out of there. Suitable only for drunken Spring Breakers.

We stayed for four nights. We appreciated the full size refrigerator and microwave. The beds were comfortable, lots of hot water, but had to ask several times for additional towels, washcloths, bath tissue, and toiletries. There is no one on site overnight for security or for after hours needs. In several cases, there was no one in the office during stated office hours. The manager and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful when they were present. Do not expect to have easy access to the beach. The beach area across from the hotel has mostly private entrances for the large hotels across the street. We ended up going through the Tiki Bar located next to the beach and inside a large hotel. The pool area was clean but kept locked until the manager arrives, which is a problem if you have young children who want to go swimming before 10:00. The decorative planters outside the rooms have mostly dead dry plants outside the rooms. It was an ok stay but you get what you pay for.

Unfortunately our air conditioner did not work so the room was uncomfortably hot all night. There was also 20 young people partying across several rooms and all over the property which wouldnt allow us to sleep.

Be prepared that this is a very low budget hotel. It really doesn’t look like the picture. The beach is about three blocks up a busy road. The property is pretty run down, however the staff was very nice. The pool looks nice.

Bed had stains. Website photos did not depict a realistic representation of the room. Front desk representatives were not available consistently during daytime hours. Parking was difficult to find and the spots were very narrow making it difficult to get in and out of your car.

After calling about 20-25 times prior to arrival I was unable to reach the hotel. Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk and We were handed a key for the room from a random man- he did not even ask who we were. We entered the room to find it was nothing like pictured or described. It was dirty, the air conditioner was covered in what appeared to be mold, there were holes in the ceiling, the outlets moved in the wall and did not hold a plug in- they seemed quite dangerous. The door do not close tight which was a security concern as well as allowed bugs in. The bathroom was very dirty, smelled of sewage and we were not comfortable enough to even use the shower. One of the two beds in the room sand down into the broken wooden base when you got on the mattress. When I spoke to the front desk to voice concerns the woman stated “well what do you expect?” I explained that I expected a room at least similar to that which was pictured and described. She was very rude and just continued to say “oh well, we cleaned the filter when the last person complained” . If we had been able to find other accommodations we would have left. I am VERY disappointed with what we believe was falsely advertised and lack of concern to even address a single concern. I have taken pictures of the state of th room as well.

Filthy, dirty, hasn't been properly cleaned in who knows how long. Our flight arrived after check-in. Staff was supposed to be there until 10-10:30. We arrived, no working lights in bedroom. Hair, dust, broken glass, numerous code and safety violations. It was disastrous.

I want to start by saying at least the staff were nice and friendly. Sorry that’s it! As for the rest, it was old and smelly. For $300CDN a unapologetically think it’s a flop. The decor is straight out of the 70s. The room was musty and the bathroom smelt like a port-a-potty. Any updates attempted were sub-par and probably not to code. Fore warned is fore armed!!

The rooms and the place is pretty run down. Stained grout and caulk, chipped paint, missing screens, sink barely drained, dirty windows etc. Worst of all was that every cove and hallway smelled like a dirty ashtray and most of our stay there was a filthy hag smoking by the pool which wafted up to our room, making so we could not leave the door open or enjoy the porch or pool. It is strange that in this day any business would allow smoking. Very low class.

Damp, moldy, lights didn't work. Pre packaged soap smelled terrible. Towels smelled funny after being used. Bedding was moist, room was dirty. Overall experience was gross. I was working all day and only slept there from around 1am-8am and would never recommend or even think of staying there again.

We got the worst room. it was too small crowded with giant fridge, table and chairs. No space to even walk. AC is in small corridor in seprate space. When we checkin, at 10 pm, AC was not running in the room. So room was too hot and it took almost 3 to 4 hours to cool down. Mattress was broken and sagged for one bed. No hair dryer. we book the room for 3 person but there were only 2 towels and only 1 face napkin. there was no one at desk until nextmorning 10 am to checkout. I will never return to this hotel. Fake ratings and reviews are given. It was total disaster.

The room was cold and dirty, every time I want take a shower the water was cold, the receptionist never he stay at the reception and check out I wait for him more then one hour.

Checked out early. Went to another hotel. Couldnt stay. I wasnt looking for much. Im not hard to please. Staff wasnt in office at check in. Had to call # to get someone. Kitchen was disgusting. Wouldnt even try to shower here. Bathroom gross. Ac was not working. Couldnt sleep in hot room. Very loud traffic. Wanted to leave at 2am. We waited til office opened and he was 45 min late opening the office too. Never again.

Just be aware that there is no staff onsite after 9:30 pm. But anyway, the offsite manager is still reachable on phone. But you won’t get the key to lock your door if you need to go out. AC doesn’t work in one of the room. The only good thing maybe there is a McDonald’s in walking distances.

Wonderful area the resort itself could use a better cleaning system the rooms are a bit dated and dirty my lights didn’t work and the floors were filthy over all for the price and the area location it was very convenient but please clean the floors my feet were black on the first day I just walked around barefoot to the bathroom.

Easy check in and check out. Walkable distance from connivence stores. Recommend for anyone look for a place to rest their head. Not top of the line but it was good enough for me.

The manager of the hotel absolutely screwed us with our booking. We had late check in and he told us the door would be left open on arrival as he wouldn’t be around. Door was locked so we couldn’t get in when arriving from the airport. No responses to my calls or messages through the app. They are refusing to give a refund for the two paid nights. Stay clear of this “hotel”.

This is a small but complete motel conveniently located. Nice pool. Rooms are perfectly adequate with fridge and a table.

Check in with Patrick was difficult- couldn't find our names even though they were written in the book right in front of him. The hotel is definitely showing it's age (physical keys, run down etc), but it was good value for the money and close to the beach and other amenities. I would stay again if the price was cheap.

Room was absolutely filthy. Linens and pillows were covered in mold. There were bodily fluids on the sheets and mattresses. When asked for clean sheets, the front desk person stated they didn't have any. We were checked in the room for roughly 3 hours (total before leaving) because as soon as we got there we went to the beach and upon return discovered the filth on sheets, pillows and the beds. The room smelled of mold, as well. We ended having to go to and pay for another hotel room at a different hotel, as there was no way that I was going to expose my wife and children to that environment.

Lovely family-run business in a historical hotel with a lot of character. The garden and pool is amazing. The hotel itself is showing its age, but they said they'll be making some renovations soon, and anyway I think the uniqueness of the hotel is something special.

What I didn’t like about the hotel is the cleaning. Dirty pillows even the bed sheets. Little tiny insect on the tables. And dirty towels too with black stains.

Unfortunately, I had to check out less than one hour after arriving. When I came to the room, the window unit AC was turned off. It was around 85° in the room. It had a very strong bleach odor. I turned the air conditioner on and while awaiting for the room to cool down I started to feel as if I were having an allergic reaction. Upon evaluation of the room, I found mold on the lampshades corners of the rooms after removing pillowcases. There were mold and mildew on the actual pillows underneath the pillow pillowcases. My mother and I went there for a vacation stayed here at this hotel. I definitely recommend staying here the staff were immaculate super nice and sweet very accommodating.

It was in need of serious repairs, missing towel bar, waste and overflow, toilet seat bolts, the vanity is full of mold and falling apart. Disgusting.

Checked in later in the day and the front desk gentleman was less than friendly. He came across as rude, which might it have been his intention. There’s a $40 cash deposit on the key which is not posted anywhere. The floor in the room was dirty and sandy, the sheets are all stained with what looks like blood, there was hair in the sheets from previous tenants. We slept on top of the sheets. No bed bugs at least! The shower curtain was moldy and the bath towels feel like sandpaper. Close 1/4 mile walk to beach. Pool was clean. The light switch doesn’t work so the fan and lamps need to be plugged into a stop that’s by the bed to turn them on. I’m not sure if that’s just the room offered for hotels.com and the others are nicer. Very limited parking. I paid practically nothing for the weekend but if you like clean and not a rundown trap motel, look elsewhere.

I traveled alone to visit family in the Fort Lauderdale area. So I triedhotels.com for the first time, and I found some nice hotels on their list so I picked this one. The people were nice that work there but the room needed renovation. His little dirty in the corners the bathroom was not nice. I stayed alone if I had brought my wife she would have left it's really too bad with the little cleanliness it would have been nice

This is an old hotel- you get real keys. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool area was amazing and a short walk to the beach. For $25 they allowed me to check in early which was so helpful as we got off a cruise in the morning. I would definitely stay again. Negatives- the towels were thin and the air conditioner was leaking

This place is an absolute dump! Mold all over the ceilings… ants on the bathroom floor… outdated furniture/A/C. Management was informed of the mold and ants, and his reply was, “well this is an economy hotel”. The best part about this place was when I left… early!!

Great location but the place needs major love. It's time to update the rooms and the pool area. IT HAS A LOT OF POTENTIAL if it was taken care of a bit more. The rooms are big but old and needs serious refreshing. Loved the area, everything is walkable distance, free parking is a plus. Staff is nice. Towels NEEDS TO BE CHANGED, they are given to us with stains....this motel could be a gem if the attention it needs was given. Overall 3/5

The location is great.

Good stay for the price I paid very close to beach and Lauderdale by the sea both within walking distance. Only downside is the front office opens at 930 and closes at 10 pm so if you need something from them you have to wait until the next day other than that it’s a good place to stay.

Sunday I checked in Pool was Green. Pool Guys came Monday and serviced pool. Room needs fumigated lots of very small bugs running around on the furniture.

We couldnt get ice.nthey had ice machine locked. Had call manager at homr to get him bring keybto unlock. Never saw anyone in office again. We left after first night. Found wonderful place stay right up road. N beach access is bull! Walk a block then down to end of street n beach access. Horrible. Didnt even get room i upgraded to.

At check-in, the guy asked for a $20 cash deposit (I refused). When I checked out, no one was in the office — if I had paid, I would’ve lost it. Only pro: location. Tip: Bring your own sheets and keep your money. Skip this place.

So when I bring it up to the manager who cover the shift in the morning he says well nobody mentioned anything about it! The showers to control it was messed up, cheap old locks, the ac doesn’t come with a remote so had to stand on the chair to raise the temperature of the ac, microwave outdated and old, the sheets had burn mark holes on them, mind you that was just 3 nights! Would I stay again? No way! But hey I guess you get what you pay for!

The property was nice for the price. The only thing I would give a negative review was once we checked under the kitchen sink there was dead roaches in a trap. Staff were great. A lot of friendly people staying at the hotel. Great neighborhood. The staff were very attentive. The other thing I would like to mention was they have a lot of flags on the property, and the Canadian flag was upside down. We mentioned this to the manager and he just responded “yeah I know”. Kind of disappointing seeing we were from Canada.

Towels were filthy sheets look dingy . Ac kept cutting off. 2 lamps werent working.

Ceiling fan didn’t work and a blade was broken off . The bed sheets were wrinkled and had stains on them. They only gave us one wash cloth for 4 people and refused to give more when we requested. The shower curtain was dirty. The head boards were dirty. The wall at the head of the beds looked like it had dry puke on it. There were no plug in outlets by the beds. The floors were dirty. The bathroom was very trashy and outdated. The worst part was that the few bathroom towels provided looked dirty and when we asked for some wash clothes the attendant was rude and said “use a towel I just gave you a lot. We don’t have any wash clothes.” Me and my husband had to cut a towel into 8 wash clothes. It was a horrible experience and we felt very gross the whole 4 days we were there.

Everything was old but it was $80/night with taxes vs $200-$300/night elsewhere. We were just visiting an elderly family friend we hadn't seen in 15 years. I also didn't like having to give $40 cash for key deposit & they said I had to provide a credit card to cover any damages. I wanted to leave early to go home 715 miles away but had to wait until a little after 10am before they opened to get my key deposit back & my photocopied credit card info. I worried so much my first night about it that someone would write down my cc info that I went to the bank in the morning & closed it, then got another one issued.

this hotel is clean/modern/old school feel. they have a beautiful pool area with plenty of tropical plants. even though its 15 feet away from the main drag off A1A once you close your door you wont here a thing(or at least I didn't) my room #105 had a bench so you could sit outside your room. and its very peaceful to just stare at the pool yard. and right behind that is A1A so there are cars/motorcycles cruising by and the buildings across the street make for a awesome back draft. bring a beer with you and enjoy it drinking it on that bench, you'll see what i'm talking about. the only bad part of that room is the cleaning staff starts work in that area in the am. They are very sweet and have a job to do

I arrived they made me give a $40 cash "key fee" that I'd get back upon checkout. The entire trip barely saw any staff. I even left the house keeping sign on the door no one cleaned. They have quite hours 10pm-8am, but no staff to enforce, so people were loud in the pool at 330am. The parking spaces are probably a good 2 feet smaller than standard, my rental was dinged up and needed to pay for that. Then no staff there when I had to leave, so didn't get $40 back, so scammed out of that I guess. The lady even said to checkout before 9am prob for that very reason. Ohhh almost forgot there were tiny ants everywhere too and I don't mean see some here and there, like full colonies. I wanted to checkout the 1st 5 mins but being 4th of July week and everything booked I was stuck. Stay away spend a little more down the street.

The place was nice enough, the room was pretty clean. We came in late and the office was closed. Had to call and they wouldn't answer. Received a text with our room number and that it was unlocked. The a/c wasn't on when we got there, had to turn it on myself. Didn't receive the room key until morning. The clerk at the office was very pleasant and helpful. All-in-all, not worth the cost.

I only booked for 1night, there is only 1 visible outlet, missing lightbulbs over the bathroom sink, no lightbulbs in the table lamp. The only light we had was a small hanging light.

Absolutely filthy, moldy (mold found in the ac unit of room 101 day after I reported this hotel) unsafe and the pool area had very loud music that we could hear in the room. Can’t get a response from the property about a refund and Expedia says they tried. We left within the first 30 min of opening the door to room 101 & had to find a hotel to stay in. Do not book this hotel!!!

Dead bolt and the door knob lock to my room did not work properly. I did not always feel safe. The manager was rude and never in the reception office during working hours.

This property was not very clean. Small bugs crawling on the walls, the sheets were stained and the fridge was leaking all over the floor with puddles of water. There were three pairs of panties hanging over the balcony from a room next to ours, the pictures online are deceiving had to switch hotels after only being there for 10 min and they would not refund us.

It has a lovely pool and is directly across the street from the beach. A1A is a busy street, so if you’re looking for quiet, this isn’t quiet. But the staff is quite friendly and helpful.

Hotel is clean and the beds had to be the most comfortable of any hotel. I do travel alot. Yes it is a bit dated but who cares? Clean and comfortable.

This place was NOTHING like the photos shown here. It was filthy and the faucet in the bathroom was broken, the vanity cabinet was disgustingly filthy, the microwave had mold and rust inside, the coffee machine was filthy with old dried coffee grounds, there was a pile of hair from another guest in the bathroom, the office personal was rude. I would give this zero stars if I could.

Nice place to stay thats not gonna break your budget. On A1A across from the beach. The hotel manager remembered me from a year and a half ago and was very friendly and accommodating. Free parking as well. Hard to find that in that area. Great family place.

Ocean mile property made me think that, Expedia doesn’t care about their customers, period!

This place is NOT as advertised. Filthy and terrible fumes. Our concerns were met with a very hostile and aggressive employee. Did not feel safe. Police called. Other great beach hotels nearby to choose from.

The sink in the bathroom did not drain, and there was no extra supply of toilet paper, paper towels or trash bags. When we asked for extra trash bags we were told they had none. Luckily most of our trip was spent outside of the hotel, otherwise we would have considered changing our accommodations.

The surrounding property and hotel/pool property were older, but clean. The outdoor pool area was nicely decorated and maintained. The rooms were older in style (1970s/80s), but were overall clean. The staff was cordial and polite, but not truthful, which is why I gave it an average rating. They requested a $10 cash deposit as a way to ensure that I would return the hotel key at check-out. I was told that someone would be at the front desk by 9:30 am to check me out. When my family and I arrived at 9:35 am, no one was there. There were two other families waiting to check out as well. One guest called the number posted on the front office door which stated the office hours starting at 9:30 am. The front office worker answered the call, saying he would arrive by 10:00 am and offered no apology or explanation. By the time he arrived, four families were waiting to be checked out. None of us could get our deposits back if we were to leave the keys in our rooms. One family had been asked to put down $20/key and they had 2 keys. If it is standard practice for the front office worker to be late, they need to change the hours posted on their sign. Otherwise, it appears they are hoping guests will have to leave before a worker arrives at the front desk, and then they have just made at least $10 cash or more depending on how many guests have to leave early. My two girls had also wanted to swim at 9:30 am for opening pool hours, but no one was available to unlock the pool.

We took a chance, brought a tall nephew to walk into the unlocked dark room first. There was no maintenance guy AND there was no key anywhere. Room was unlocked. We survived. Just lucky to get any room the first weekend of spring break, I guess?

Ok where do I start. No one ever came and cleaned our room in 4 had to ask for towels day 3 they were left outside the room on the chair. Had to buy our own toilet paper. The pool never opened on Saturday as no one was there to open the entrance. I have never experienced a hotel say like this in my entire life.

I can't tell you about the stay - because we didn't get to stay! We arrived at 9:40 to find that the office had closed at 9:30 - so we couldn't check in. We called the 'after-hours' number listed and couldn't leave a voice mail message because the box was full. Paid in advance to NOT have a hotel room. Unacceptable!

Terrible is an understatement. Mold in the bathroom curtain, bed sheets ripped and stained. No toilet paper, had to ask. Bathroom towels were stained and the nice woman cleaning told me they were clean just stained red!! Safe your money stay somewhere else. At least the staff were nice.

The manager was amazing to deal with. We only needed a room for a few hours while in transit from a cruise to a flight home. The noise was due to traffic on the busy street. The only thing that surprised us was there was an extra $25 fee for early check in even though we were only staying for 7 hours.

A man arrived definitely high on drugs to let us in the room. He didn’t have a key so was trying to break into the room with a butter knife —- so bizarre. Told us we would be provided a key in the morning . It was the strangest experience. A night clerk eventually arrived to give us keys. I talked to the manager in the morning and he didn’t think anything of our experience. The room smelled of bleach but it was not clean. Bed coverings were wrinkled like they were picked out of a pile on the floor. Pool area was ok and the hotel is close to the beach.

Oliver was wonderful and helpful. The place is “you get what you pay for” it is outdated but had everything we needed. It did look like they were updating some rooms which is nice. Our kids loved the pool. It was spring break so a lot of younger kids staying but every one was respectable and friendly. Only thing that I would complain about it the noise from the traffic and some people slamming doors when coming home from the bars late.

We had booked two rooms at the same time upon arrival they weren’t together which was very disappointing, besides the fact the rooms were clean but very outdated. The property manager kept saying we were in rooms with updated bathrooms, but our bathroom door wouldn’t even shut. Top it all off, someone tried to get into our room at 5:30 in the morning. Glad it was only a one night stay.

Affordable and great location close to the beach and a short drive to lots of places to eat and visit. Outdated rooms but they were nice and clean. The pool area was very relaxing.

This hotel is dated but priced accordingly, the staff was amazing the plants make it very cute. I am not a nit picky person so this was a great place for us. Compared to other pricing in Fort Lauderdale the location for the price is just great. Lots of hot water and bed was comfortable and had a kitchenette.

I booked 2 rooms for 8 people. We came in late and office was closed. Thanks for leaving the room unlock with the key in the room. We were so surprised that only 1 towel in the bathroom for 4 persons in each room and no shampoo only bar soap. The bathroom door knob was loose and only has 1 screw to hold it on. The front door deadbolt was unable to lock (see pictures) and no toilet paper as well. I talked to the management next day when I got back in mid day so that they can give us more towels. I found that they didn’t change the bed sheets at all and asked them to do it. I waited for 1/2 hour for them to come in to change the sheet but nothing was happened so I end up to give the sheet back to the office and go to take a nap with the old sheet. I told them I will talk to Expedia about this and they said that is fine. I hope Expedia removes them off their website because of incorrect ratings and information. Never come back again

Air conditioning was poorly maintained. Aged room. Staff failed to show up on time for check out in the morning as promised knowing our transportation was booked early to go to the cruise terminal.

The staff of reception supposed to be back at 9am for us to return the room’s key and have our deposit back. Turned out we have been waiting outside the office for more than 45 minutes. No one showed up. We can only drop our key in the locked box and hurried to leave for our cruise.

The owners and staff were excellent. If we needed anything, we just asked and they provided it. Great location near the beach, Lauderdale by the Sea restaurants, downtown Fort Lauderdale via the Circuit, fast food, pizza, NY subs, etc. Heated pool has a good angle for afternoon sun. Great value for the price.

If you want a cozy, clean low key, relaxful place to stay, this is the place! I loved the balcony where you could sit out and enjoy your coffee each morning. It is in a high traffic area, but the property id beautifully decorated with lots of flowers and palm trees. Lot's of local restaurants and shopping close by.

Property was dirty. There was exposed wiring, it looked like someone pulled the wires out of the wall. Music in the pool area was very loud and penetrated into the room.

The room didn't look like it had been updated since the place was built. While you could tell that the cleaners use chemicals to clean, around the bed had not been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time. There multiple holes/cracks in the ceiling/walls that they had just thrown some plaster and paint over to hide instead of properly fixing them. Fairly certain there is mold under the wall a/c unit as the whole wall underneath was wet. They had a boy serving as the desk clerk on our first night there. He couldn't get ahold of the manager when we alerted him to the issue and no one said anything to us about it the whole time there. The pool is supposed to be open until 9 but at 8:30 a rude older man told my son he had 10 minutes to get out. The beach is beautiful but be prepared to walk to access it. For the price we paid to stay here, I definitely will NEVER be back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

like checking into a long term rooming house. did not drink the water. wore shoes in the room all the time. furniture from Value Village. 2nd or third hand me downs. door was flimsy with old style key that they wanted $5 or $20 as a deposit. different sketchy guy at office in morning had never heard of night manager. red flags everywhere.

I spoke with other customers and we all felt like we were afraid to leave our stuff in the room because it looks shady. Nothing happened but we still blocked the door at night. The door jam around deadbolt lock was broken away like it was kicked in. I changed motels after one night.

Family owned business. Staff friendly. Owners were very welcome and made my stay felt at home. Very clean and close to the beach, coffee shops, grocery shopping, bus stops.

The room was spacious but very out dated. Didnt want to touch the ice machine because it was old and rusted. Headboard was sticky along with the tv remote. Very upset that we could not check in an hour earlier unless we paid. The only nice thing was the pool area so just remember you get what you paid forthe after driving afor 3 hours in the hot weather

Another wonderful stay at the Ocean Mile Hotel. Owner/operator Oliver and crew always make for a time well spent. A reasonably priced property that is constantly being maintained and improved. Unliked other nearby motels that seem to decay year after year. Nice job guys!!! 👍

I stay at this location often. I travel to fort Lauderdale at least once every 3 months. It's a great price and they are super friendly and very clean hotel

10 guests including us tried checking out at 9:30 am and nobody was there, door was locked. Clerk finally showed up around 10:15 am., took extra long to finally get our cash deposit back!

Good location walking distance to strip malls and a Winn Dixie. Pleasant staff. Mini fridge, coffee pot, micro wave and work desk in room. A/C filters were dirty so I removed them, took photos and washed them. Management needs to pay attention as clean air is a basic need. Weak internet, which is a real bummer. Other than the a/c and the weak internet we would stay here again as we have to be in Fort Lauderdale several times a year.

Ocean Mile Hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. If I could give it negative stars, I would. Everything about this place is a scam, starting with their listing. The pictures they use online are fake—they show a completely different hotel to attract guests. The actual property is rundown, dirty, and nothing like what they advertise. The room was disgusting. The headboard of our bed was so sticky that my hair got stuck to it. It was beyond gross. The coffee maker jug was broken, and there were no blankets—just cheap, thin sheets that didn’t even qualify as proper bedding. They provided only one tiny soap and shampoo, and that was it. There was no toothbrush, toothpaste, or anything else you’d expect from even the most basic accommodations. The toilet seat was mismatched, with a lid and seat from different brands. No one came to clean our room during our entire stay. They didn’t change the bed sheets, empty the trash, or clean the restroom. The final straw was when my brother’s backpack went missing from his room. We reported it to the front desk and the police, but the staff acted like they didn’t care. Their dismissive attitude made it clear this wasn’t unusual for them. This hotel is a disaster. It’s unsafe, unhygienic, and run by staff who don’t care about their guests. Save your money, sanity, and safety by staying somewhere else. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. Stay far, far away.

Good location, nice front desk personnel. Pool area looked nice and well maintained. The room itself was mediocre, no hand towels or wash cloths, water was warm but that is it. My biggest complaint is the AC is under locked box, set at 73 and can’t be adjusted.

Staff was terrific, friendly, welcoming and helpful, thanks Oliver, Patrick and Denise! Rooms could use a sprucing up but beds are comfortable. Easy access to restaurants and 2 blocks from the beach. Our family enjoyed our stay!

Safe and excellent selection for budget travelers. Hotel is nice but my room is not ok as no ac next to bed, no power sockets, no proper lighting, no room service and no proper amenities but good price and location is perfect

This is the worst place we have ever stayed at in the Lauderdale area. The bathroom was disgusting, from the 1960s, and hasn't been touched since. Mold, caulking falling apart and a disgusting vanity that was ready for the garbage bin. No hangers for the clothes rack, no cups for the coffee maker, the floors made our feet black within the first two minutes. Good thing it was only for a 1-night stay. The office was also scheduled to open at 0930, the staff decided to show up after 1000, delaying our check out.

There was no one there to check us in at 4:00pm. Had to call. Our room was so old and beat up. The so called kitchen was truly disgusting. They need to update their pictures on line or update their rooms.

The room wasn’t very clean but besides that we had a great experience! Would be back again

The hotel is on a busy road. So, road noise. Took showers around 5pm and there was just luke warm water. I asked for hand towels and they said they had none. Bathroom was really run down. They knob for the shower would turn 360 degrees. They did have a pool and the walk to the beach was a few minutes. I probably would not stay here again.

The pictures don't look like the room in person. The lamps were moldy. Bathroom had ants. The pool was moggy. Not clean or clear water. Pictures were photoshopped to make it look clean and big. It wasn't either one. Worse Motel I ever seen in my life. Paid for days left after first day. Didn't feel safe at all.

They ask for a cash deposit for key return.

Checking in is a breeze, great place just for a quick stay.

Some coffee, even the most basic would be a nice touch in the office in the AM. I’d stay here again, but wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to do so.

Not an issue but no one was really there for check out. I had to wait about 20 mins to get my deposit, so went for a coffee and went back. I definitely recommend this place and cant wait to come back for our next family vavation
