Ocean Sky Hotel and Resort

We loved the direct access to the beach and the pool/jacuzzi area was great. This aspect alone makes the stay a great choice. There are sun loungers on the deck but did not like that we had to pay additional to sit on the beach with loungers and umbrella. That said, a lot of the hotels seem to do the same thing. Our room was okay, definitely was on the smaller side and they put us in the way corner with the stairs furthest from the ocean view after being told by the front desk manager he was giving us a “fantastic room.” There was a partial ocean view but was obstructed by the first floor lobby/store extension of the building. Maybe if you are further down by the ocean you don’t see it as much. Overall we enjoyed our stay and felt it was a good value with the direct beach and pool area.

Stayed at Ocean Sky for 4 days and had a very nice stay. The room was nice. The view from balcony was gorgeous. Hotels tiki bar was nice to have while down by the pool. All the bartenders were very friendly. Front desk staff was very helpful with any questions we had. Good location, not far from anything. Ride circuit was mentioned to us for cheap rides to close areas. Only downfall was the seaweed on the beach and in the ocean, not hotels fault.

Ac was blasting & the tell you don't turn it off, pool & hot tub is good. Beach couldn't enjoy ,cause of the seaweed. Shouldn't have to pay for a beach chair & umbrella. A few things are walkable to eat but definitely goin have to drive or Uber somewhere. Which isn't far. The drinks I'm use to paying $18 for drink but not cheap liquor & weak drink. The food is expensive. I only ate a $20 quesdilla which i really didn't eat. It was very solo friendly. Would i say again ummm maybe not . But I did enjoy myself. Also my window was facing a building they were doin construction on

The hotel is on the beach and near restaurants and shops. Everyone was welcoming and nice but the food is not up to par

La propiedad en general estuvo bien, la habitacion limpia y la atencion del personal buena, lo unico que no es bueno es el parqueo, a pesar de que te cobran 25 dolares por noche, no puedes parquear donde quieras, sino al cruzar la calle de la propiedad, tienen todos los parqueos ocupados para ballet parking y en el caso nuestro a mi esposo no le gusta que nadie le maneje su carro, por lo que nos toco caminar , por lo demas todo bien.

The hotel is average, about the same as any hotel around it. It was clean and if anything was wrong the staff immediately fixed it. It doesn’t have much to do around the hotel besides the beach, but everything is about a 10-20 min drive. Property is definitely not luxury looks a bit run down from the outside. Showers are a little weird they don’t have a door so water does get everywhere. Smells nice in the hotel. They have a balcony which is nice. The drinks at the bar were pricy but great! Pool and hot tub were great! I love the buttons to let the housekeeping know if you would like service or not. Right on the beach. I would recommend staying here considering all of that.

Location on the beach was perfect. Although the seaweed was so bad the pool was perfect. The staff is so sweet and friendly, they will go out of their way to make sure you are having a great stay.

The staff was wonderful overall. Whether it was at the pool, jacuzzi, or when getting towels, everyone was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was especially respectful and accommodating when I requested extra towels. The room was very clean, neat, and well-prepared upon arrival. Overall, I had a great experience and appreciated the excellent service throughout my stay.

For 13 years we have been having our family's gathering there. We will not change the staying for anything. The beach at your steps, the pool and the jacuzzi are right there... Rooms are comfortable and clean. We came back today for a great weekend together, until next time.

Hotel is very nice the pool area is good the restaurant food not as good as i was expecting and a little pricey the room was nice but the A/C it was either too cold or too hot humid. Bathroom nice.

Cancel. And the third is not far from the other two. Cafe in the property needs improvement as they were mediocre and pricey. I think an inclusion of continental breakfast would be better to kick off the day.

Disabled room was not comfortable at all. Bathroom and a missing a vanity to pl e personal items, no bench in shower for disable person, no rug on shower to prevent slips.

Room is very clean, beds are comfortable, and you can’t beat the location (right on the beach with pool and hot tub, restaurants within walking distance). The only problem is the food in the restaurant is not great, so we went other places to eat.

The location of the hotel was great. We enjoyed the pool area. There were plenty of chairs available to use. We would stay there again.

i stay there before but this stay was not as good could not sit on balcony because it was full of bird poop and that was day one ran out towels when got them they were damp had to keep asking for wash cloth

This is just a decent place to stay. Amenities match more of a small town motel. If you go to the beach all chair, cushions, umbrellas have to be rented out for the day for an insane price that our worn out and low quality. I would consider renting through beach gear company. The best part of the stay was just being able to be right on the water and swim everyday. You get two beach towels after that you pay $20 for each additional towel. Parking is $25 nightly. Self parking is across the street which is also $25 so it doesn't make sense that the valet is in the lot to park. I wouldn't stay here again. The room isn't very clean. Everything looks a bit outdated even with the renovated rooms.

We stay here every time we come down to Fort Lauderdale and love it. The location is perfectly seated between the downtown area and Lauderdale by the Sea offering numerous places to dine and drink. The best part is being steps away from the pool and beach.

The deposit was only $50 per night which was prefect!! , and there were no hidden fees or amenity fees upon arrival and parking was only $25 a night which was a great deal especially considering the location, it was right on the beach with private access and close to everything. The hot tub was a perfect temperature which was a plus and the hotel was clean and the staff was really nice, also their was a onsite tiki bar I will Definitely be returning I didn’t like the fact, they forced you to hand your keys over to valet to be able to park your car on property I feel like as guest we should be able to park our own car and valet parking should be optional

Pool and deck right out to the beach are the highlight. Each room has a little balcony but you are right up next to your neighbor. View is also into the next hotel, but you can sort of see the ocean. Staff was definitely the highlight. Wonderful and helpful. I don’t like it when a place doesn’t feel clean. Room and hallways. Room felt dark, no direct light.

The Ocean Sky experience was a wonderful experience other than no microwave in the standard rooms only in the suites but microwave was available to guest on second floor. Enjoyed the ocean view from our balcony. Staff were nice and respectful. Enjoyed the use of the gym. Valet staff were pleasant.

Now, i asked for a partial ocean , i was facing an apartment building that was doing construction and could barely see the ocean. Ok cool. Then the balcony had pigeons everywhere, even poop. Balcony had plastic chairs to sit on and no tables. The room was relatively clean. No issues there. The bathroom. Toilet was filthy as if they didn’t lift the toilet seat to clean. And according to the front desk. The reason for the brown running water was due to the city Outside amenities were cool but i loved the beach access. Over all it was a good stay with some minor needed adjustments.

It is close to ocean. Staff was nice and inviting. Bathrooms need an exhaust fan and shower door.

Room service horrible never got my room cleaned for 4 days no towels ask numerous times and never received service then after check out they tried to charge me 613.00 saying I didnt pay then when asst manager came he fixed issue also its not noted a deposit of 200 cash or 300 credit card deposit at all 50 a day per person they charge you only thing good was the free valet parking and they was trying to charge 25 a day for that until they seen it was free u cant sit on the pool cabanas u gotta pay for that too they take the beach chairs at 7pm from you if u sitting in them never again I will stay here

Nice room

The tiki bar ir is nice but very expensive, food and drinks over the top, 20 something dollars for chicken fingers. The pool and jacuzzi were not clean, I did not go in. There's not enough cover from the sun and they rent everything separately. Beach was full of seaweed and chairs were 15$ a piece. Umbrellas were more. Cabanas 4get about it.

The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean. However, the inside of the shower could have been more thoroughly cleaned around the edges. The towels need fabric softener. The food at the outside cafe is terrible and expensive. There are several restaurants conveniently located outside the resort that serve delicious food at a much lower prices. The resort should consider changing the space to a spa leasing to a good franchise,or consider using the space for nightly entertainment. During our stay, no one used the big empty space, since the weather was gorgeous outside. It was the least attractive area. The cost of the amenities is expensive. Loved the hot tub, pool and the beach!

Clean room

We love to stay at this property. Checked in by Front Office Manager upon our early arrival. He was able to assist us with early check in which we were so grateful for given my wife being pregnant. All rooms are clean, updated and have balcony which make for a great stay. Plus having amenities like the pool and very large hot tub that stay open later than most other hotels/resorts was awesome. Restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Right on the beach! All staff were friendly and accommodating. We will be back very soon once baby is born to celebrate his vacation :-) Thanks to everyone who made our stay special.

Absolutely recommend staying here. Wheelchair accessible. Clean and modern. Love that it is right on the beach with a really nice outside beach side lounge area with tiki bar and restaurant! Top notch jacuzzi and pool. Beach was absolutely beautiful! Definitely will be coming back with the kids next time!

It was our first time staying there but we had a great time! Super fun and clean place and the kids loved it! Only downside is how pricey the food and extra stuff was. For example, one cheese pizza was $20 and it was definitely not for more than 2 people. The beach chairs and umbrellas were pricey too as a separate company rents them out. We paid $55 a day for 2 beach chairs and 1 umbrella, yikes! Kids wanted mini golf and even that was rented by the same company that rents out the chairs jet skis etc. I am only writing this because I got a suite room which was pricey on its own and was not expecting all of the crazy priced extras!! Overall, staff was super friendly and the hotel is clean.

The only complaint was is the beach elevator stop working on Sunday and they have to wait till Monday for the technician to fix. Also the balcony is dusty and dirty. Other than that everything was good friendly staff and the hotel very well managed. For the price it a good deal.

Personally coming from Vegas and expecting good hospitality this hotel wasn’t it. Our room had dirty ceilings, shower and toilet got clogged few times, the towel had a black hair in it (were blonde), the umbrella for the beach was NOT included with our hotel booking but every other hotel had complimentary umbrellas for their guests. No breakfast included, we asked for our room to be cleaned every day and we turned the light on for it but out of 5 days it was only cleaned twice. I will say the front desk especially Andrej was extremely helpful, can’t say the same for the rest.

Overall nice hotel. Needs some work on towel refresh. No washcloths on day 2 available.

The ocean access was great. Have easy access to rent the umbrella and chairs was good. The restaurant was somewhat lacking. Food and service were good, but it had no personality. It was very barren like it did not fit with the rest of the property. There was patio service but you were never sure if it was open. The restaurant next door was more appealing or going to Dunkin Donuts. The coffee was not great. The room was excellent.

Pool was nice and warm! Our room was clean but could use some basic repairs. We had our service sign up but still had to ask the front for some to come clean our room, no big deal. Was a good stay but like the proximity to the beach

We checked in and left after less than 2 hours due to the condition of the room and overall environment, because the conditions were unacceptable. What made the situation even more upsetting was the dishonesty and lack of professionalism we experienced from multiple levels of staff, including the front desk, assistant manager, and manager. Information provided to us was inconsistent, concerns were minimized, and communication after the issue was raised felt dismissive rather than helpful. Instead of taking accountability and attempting to resolve the situation fairly, we were repeatedly given conflicting responses. The photos online are also very misleading and do not accurately reflect the actual condition of the property or rooms. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking here. As paying guests, we expected transparency, professionalism, and basic cleanliness standards. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below expectations and turned what should have been a relaxing trip into a stressful and frustrating situation.

No hot water

Second time staying here and loved it. This is def our go to spot to stay while in Fort Lauderdale. The pool deck is great with plenty of lounge chairs and a great view of the beach. Hot tub was also very nice with a lot of room. There’s always something to complain about but the things I’ll mention are minor and didn’t affect the stay at all. We stayed in a room with a king size bed and the bathroom is nice, but I’ll never understand why a lot of hotel bathrooms do not have exhaust fans. After showering, had to wait for the mirror to clear up unless we wiped it down which wasn’t an issue but why no exhaust fan??? Only other thing that is irritating is the $25 a night parking fee. We take day trips and need a rental otherwise we would use public trans. Last thing is the outdoor bar. Nice atmosphere but three shots of Jameson with a tip was over $50. We always bring our own but wanted something quick without going back up to the room. Great bang for your buck otherwise and will be staying again.

Perfect place to stay to be by the pool and beach. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. I was there for 4 days and 3 nights and I did not rent a car. Food and drinks are a bit pricey at the hotel so I do recommend going somewhere else to eat. There are many nice spots around the area. You can walk or take a Lyft/Uber for the further places.

Could use more dresser space, and another mirror by balcony door...just hard to get 3-4 people ready w just that one mirror...(for the women in the room) Wish the microwaves would have stayed in the rooms...not sure about the reasoning behind this, but it's a bit of an inconvenience.... When I arrived, it took a valet at least 20 minutes to approach me. Once I was approached he was rude when explaining the process, that I need to check in first (in which it doesn’t even allow room for you to park to check in). Once I walked inside I was greeted with stares and asked one of the front desk clerk; which clerk did I need to go to. The black girl at the front desk rolled her eyes at me, so the gentleman checked me in. Trying to retrieve my car and check my car back in was a complete nightmare. One night I had to wait at least 30 minutes to check my car in because they only had valet working that night. The hotel was decent for the price, but the attitude and inconvenience of the workers was not worth it.

The property is clean and smells nice. The beach is beautiful. However, there is not enough information about activities on the property or tours provided by the hotel or outside vendors. Some of the staff are not very friendly. There were no complimentary bottles of water provided, not even on the first day, and no information was given about a refill station.

Get an Uber then the shuttle…far less expensive.

2nd. There is actually NO amenities offered without a heafty charge. $20 to use an umbrella. $20 for each beach chair. $7 for each cushion for the chair. They act like towels are gold. You can't get no extra without a $20 charge. & if you lose your towel card your SOL without another $20 charge. If you lock yourself out of your room it's $20 for a new key, even tho you didn't LOSE it you just accidentally forgot it in the room. Bed sheets have a moldy Oder to them that made my belly upset. Pool was very dirty. Globs of hair. Crackers floating, little white particles looked like dandruff but LOTS of it!!!! Drinks at the little thing they call a tiki bar are over priced & not worth it. Food at restaurant is gross & overpriced. The shower feels great but there is No door. It's an open concept but the shower water gets EVERYWHERE!!! So make sure you lay a towel on the floor before getting in. Overall it wasn't a good experience. But the side view of the ocean is pretty. I wish I would have done more research before paying 1,100. Defiantly wouldn't come back here.

Had to report roaches in hotel and room. Housekeeping left no rags and when we called for linen it took over an hour. Definitely needs upgraded.

Clean room. The outdoor area was nice, but was not well kept. Guests littered throughout the day & area not tended too. Limit chairs and chairs on the beach had to be rented.

Great location and hotel for the price as we stayed for 5 nights. They have their own tiki bar but also right now door is the bambo tiki bar which is great. Food was good, pool was very warm, Room was clean. Jet ski's available to rent right at the hotel. Only a 15 minute walk to Lauderdale By The Sea which is great. You do have a balcony but they are all on either side of the building having to look to the left or right to see the ocean. Showers do not have a door on them so it tends to get very wet outside of the shower on the floor.

The cleaning staff could have been a bit more attentive and the waiter at the restaurant wasn’t the most pleasant. Please not the balcony is not private either. You can see straight across to others rooms/balconies.

Great Location, Nice Staff, I didn’t like the fact that you have to pay extra to use certain amenities like the beach chairs to sit and lay on the sand. (Other resorts I been to didn’t have those extra fees) . The service was great but the food didn’t taste that well.. I had the 1 bdrm king suite on the 3rd floor and the room was great with a small kitchen was was fine.. The only thing I didn’t like was the view for an (oceanfront) stay.. My view was literally facing the roof and ac vents and rust of the roof.. Only a small part of the balcony faced the beach.

Resort is a misnomer but it's really a hotel on the beach. They have a pool, a hot tub, mini golf, and of course the ocean. The beach is private to patrons who stay there, which is nice. The bathroom is tight, nice looking but tight. Staff was helpful. Housekeeping daily.

Everything was amazing!!!

Although they say its a resort they charge you for use of beach chairs on the beach. As for the hot tub lots of children playing in it. We left behind a white North face raincoat on the bed. Called the resort on Sunday after leaving Saturday to let them know. Was told by Don lost and found closed. Called Monday no jacket found. Very disappointed. Dont leave anything behind and lock your funds up. Still have not received a call back to file a complaint.

Room was clean as well as the rest of the hotel. Staff were friendly. Pool and beach were not so busy during the week which was nice. Wish the room had a microwave. Overall it was a good place to stay for a week with a toddler.

We had the breakfast included. It was good . We walked to Publix for lunch food . We used the circuit to get around and it was excellent . Do not take a cab. Use uber to and from the airport . Cabs rip you off. The pick up location for ride shares keeps changing, so get the updated location . It’s a little walk, so not good if you have mobility issues. The staff was very good everywhere . No staff is sitting around here. The restaurants up the street at Lauderdale by the Sea were all good. They really need to offer more shade outside . The awning only provides shade in the afternoon - and there was not enough seating in the shade. They have a water filter in the gym - so bring a water bottle.

This place is excellent, everything was great,beautiful place,friendly staff,even though alot of them don't speak English !!!

On our first night, the comforter in our room was visibly dirty, with makeup stains and looked like it hadn’t been washed at all (see photos). We reported it to management and were moved to another room, which we appreciated—but the issues didn’t stop there. In the new room, there was ongoing maintenance right next door. The noise was unbearable, especially early in the morning. We even had to call the front desk to ask them to have the workers be mindful of guests trying to sleep. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again the next day with no consideration for how early it was. To make matters worse, we requested service through the in-room system for fresh towels and bathroom cleaning, and no one ever showed up—not once during our entire 4-day stay. This experience made what should have been a relaxing vacation unnecessarily stressful. I would not recommend staying here.

We really Iiked everything. It is currently sandwiched in by two other buildings getting work done, but it was still as peaceful as it could be. It has a great workout room, really nice; and the concierge down stairs was very helpful with getting us info and helping us schedule a wayer taxi. Its in a great location for sure, and the ocean is probably 40 yards off the pool deck. Awesome!

Room was not swept well before I arrived the next day when the cleaning person came came it was swept so maybe it just who is working. Other than that everything was good

we had a partial ocean view and the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, The shower setup is stupid there is no door to close just an opening in the glasswater ends up getting on the floor.

The hotel is very well situated with access to the beach. The pool and hot tub were taken care of daily which was a plus for us. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and staff was friendly. The shuttle bus was on time and the driver was polite and helpful with our luggage. I would recommend the hotel to include a small shop with some quick food options like chips, ice cream, juice, milk, gum etc. mainly since the Win Dixie supermarket near by is out of business so there isn't another place within walking distance to buy things like that for kids. Overall, we were happy and would stay here again.

Clean room, a large hot tub, very friendly staff, great pool, and a small shop on the first floor is very convenient. No microwave in the room, and no shower door which was not ideal. Overall a great experience!

The only negatives I have to mention are the rooms were old, the lock on the balcony was broken. I had to ask for my room to be cleaned 3 times.. the pillows sucked!

Nice view but... that's it. The place is not in walking distance of restaurants or stores. The beach had sooo much seaweed in it, it was hard to get past that and the dirt to enjoy it. The restaurant was dead, but when I ordered a Cajun Shrimp pasta, one person, who worked everywhere, showed up, barely spoke English, and probably cooked it. It was not Cajun shrimp pasta BTW. It was penne, marinara sauce, powdered parmesan cheese, and shrimp. There was no other option, so I ate it. The neighbors either argued or had loud sex. I enjoyed my view but the balcony was not well set to enjoy from there. The TV in the room only faced the bed so I can only watch TV in bed. The utensils were strange. The parking lot was small and easily flooded and there's a $25 parking fee. I left a night earlier than booked because it was not that enjoyable.

The best thing about the hotel was the size of the pool area and beach access. The hotel itself was updated, but could use more attention to cleaning. When we checked in, the room was not as clean as expected and the pool looked as if it hadn't had chemicals put in for awhile.

The housekeeper serviced our room and somehow locked us out and we had to wait 45 minutes for re-entry, someone at the front desk charged us a parking fee when we didn't have a car and the manager was very combative about it, and there were several strands of hair everywhere in our room. When I questioned about my deposit and obtaining a receipt, I was giving the run around and at that upset me because I encountered several issues and not one time did I complain, but this did it for me. I will not be staying here again. Accountability is key for me and my funds.

Everything was as expected.

It had everything you needed right there, pool, hot tub, restaurant, tiki bar and beach! The only thing that was odd to me was our shower which was all glass and beautiful… didn’t have a door ( one of the newer style showers) but do children using it… water would splash all over. For a mom just another clean up! Just saying!!

Small feedback we provided was to ensure elevator sounding chimes are little more quiet, as our room this time was next to elevators and we could hear it and get woken up. Manager offered to change our room without any issues, but we did not want to inconvenience the staff as it was our mid-stay. Great location, friendly staff, offered us early checking without additional charge at 11 am. At midnight we found our door lock battery drained and they immediately assigned us a new room and in the morning I g gave us the voucher for 2 free breakfast. Valley parking service is great and inexpensive. Very nice rooms with quality service items and nice bathrooms. Every room has a nice partial ocean view room. Family friendly environment. Would definitely come again as one of the best beach locations near Fort Lauderdale

You pay for a beach front hotel but have to pay for your chair on the beach, pay for the cushion on that seat, and pay for the umbrella on the beach. Staff were friendly. Washroom toilet bowl was acting up and not flushing properly.

They call it partial beach view but it is not really anything. Room size are little smaller for a two bed room and for the price. Rooms with window on the side can have very limited view of ocean that too from balcony but with construction and adjacent high rises - there is no premium experience and reservation do not say it clearly (hotels.com should have more detail explanation). Staff is helpful. Restaurant menu is very limited and quality is ok for vegetarian people but restaurant staff was very courteous and attentive. Location is good and pool is good.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was great and the location was very good. How many of these were low, but I didn’t spend much time in the hotel since you’re right on the beach in central to the Fort Lauderdale area.

Pool and beachfront was excellent. The towels looked like they were already used, not changed for our stay! Cost money to have a beach chair even if your staying at hotel. We had to change room due to noise in the wall and fan ticking outside.

I was here for six nights. This hotel is not as advertised. It is older, dirty, and not what I would consider a resort. Felt more like a beach motel. Room was small, bathroom very small, tv only worked part of the time. I constantly had to ask for wash cloths or towels for our room. The jacuzzi tub was disgusting, with stuff floating in the water. The carpeted hallways in the hotel were dirty, needed a good vacuum. There was always litter on the beach out front of the hotel. We were told to wear our plastic wrist bands the whole time we were here. I can’t imagine anyone trying to sneak into this place, not sure why these are necessary. The amenities listed on the hotel information came with a fee. They add 20% gratuity to all charges at the bar and cafe and I didn’t catch that until my last day; I always tip 20% so I was tipping on top of their gratuity the entire stay (my mistake). The Expedia info says airport transportation is complimentary. When I inquired, I could not get a straight answer and finally had to suck it up and Uber. I was very disappointed in my choice with this hotel. I would pay more for something nicer. I looked into canceling after we arrived the first day. The hotel front desk told me that it has already been paid for through Expedia so they couldn’t offer me anything. It would be nice if Expedia had a way to cancel and book elsewhere when the marketing of a hotel is vastly different from the reality.

Service was underwhelming. Staff were not particularly friendly, and basic items like washcloths were surprisingly hard to get. Regular coffee packets in the room were also limited — decaf was readily available, but standard coffee was not consistently restocked. We also had an issue with a neighboring guest smoking marijuana in their room, which we had to report to management. There was also construction noise from two adjacent properties that went on ALL day.

The ocean was visible a little from our room. One of the elevators didn’t work , so it was a line to get on to it.

Toilet didn’t work. We had one of the worst rooms in the hotel with a view of a roof with a large mechanical unit.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice and quick to greet the guests. The concierge assisted us in booking activities and giving us the best food options in the area. Every room has a balcony. We enjoyed sitting out at night listening to the waves. The hotel is not sound proof, so we didn't get the best nights sleep due to the heavy hotel doors slamming shut through the night. We would stay here again though.

A good resort in Fort Lauderdale

So many things things that negatively affect my vacation. The hotel is outdated, the air conditioning is noisy, the room and the door have cracks, only one elevator is working. I would not recommend

We really enjoyed our stay here. My only complaint is the beds were so uncomfortable. There was a few of us staying in different rooms and everyone said the same. The restaurant doesn’t open until 8, which I thought was late, and the pool bar doesn’t open until 11.

Renovation is beautiful!

The location is perfect. The pool and deck are lovely. The hot tub could be hotter and might be nice if it was adults only. Some literature in the room about the hotel and nearby restaurants would be nice. The cost to rent chairs on the beach was prohibitive. Very quiet and the room had everything we needed.

Room was completely neglected. Housekeeping was awful. We could not leave our pool towels out or they would take them ($20 charge at check out for not returning them). Some days they took the used bathroom towels and left no clean ones. Never cleaned. We were there a week. They never cleaned the room. No washcloths even when I asked. Asked the front desk twice for housekeeping/towels and never got any. Our air conditioner was super noisy. Doorbells ringing all night long. It was awful. Do not stay there.

The room was dirty....Had some kind of drink stains on the walls, baseboards all around the room were filthy, big crack in the wall, and worst of all THERE WAS ABOUT A 1/4"-1/2" OPENING IN THE CLOSED DOOR! I COULD SEE INTO THE HALLWAY! I spent over 2 hours trying to find another resort in the area to stay at. On top of it all, they refuse to give my deposit back of first night's stay because "that's their policy" with cancellations! I argued with them that the cancellation for my stay was because of their neglect to provide me with safety! Didn't matter, no refund! I'll be fighting this til I'm refunded my deposit because of their NEGLECT and no fault of my own for canceling! I assure you, the room's cleanliness is NOT AS RATED on website!!!!

Our first room was extremely disappointing. The balcony was located right next to the outdoor A/C units, which were very loud and clearly audible inside the room. The balcony was covered in bird droppings, and the “ocean view” was minimal at best. Not worth having a balcony and ocean view room. There were also visible handprints on the wall. We requested a room change and were moved down the hallway. While the A/C noise was better and the walls were clean, this room had its own issues. There was no heat, and it was 46 degrees outside. The thermostat didn’t work, and we had to shut the unit off at the wall after 30 minutes of messing with it. There was no remote for the TV, and the safe was locked shut. We didn’t discover these problems until 10 p.m. when we returned from dinner. To make matters worse, the room phone didn’t work, which made resolving the issues even more frustrating. The hotel staff rolled her eyes when explained this issues. Nothing was done. The hotel also would not honor the Expedia VIP perks, including late checkout and a room upgrade. They initially argued about the valet parking perk, though we ultimately did receive it. The beachfront location and outdoor amenities are nice, but the room conditions and lack of service made this stay not worth the price. There are much better options.

Issues w towels at pool. They need to order about 500 more to meet the demand. Several times we went to replace a towel we got eye rolls and was told to come back they were currently washing them. Pool deck was packed like sardines. No one eats at restaurant and strange that mini golf is on a roof top above the pool area. Should have moved restaurant/bar there. Lounge chairs on beach old.

The staff was very pleasant and easy to work with. The restaurant is very overpriced and the food portions are very small. Most of the beach is a jet ski rental so you get to smell gasoline and jet ski fumes all day not to mention the noise. And if you want a chair on the beach be prepared to stand in line for half an hour and pay $80. You can't sit in the pool area because they have music playing so loud you can't talk to the person sitting next to you. The room was very clean and well kept. The valet parking service was great. The walls were very thin we could hear everything the neighbors were saying.

kitchen and living room were drab and depressing. no interesting art work to liven up the place. even being on the beach couldn't sway my mind away from thoughts of being in a Soviet era apartment complex in East Berlin in 1974. couldn't stand the way the hallway to the elevator smelled. bedroom ok, bathroom nice. lobby nice, piano great, morning breakfast on pool deck nice. I had to walk over to the neighboring hotel to get a proper morning espresso and coffee. front desk check in average. felt ripped off after I left. live and learn. won't stay again.

The room was not very nice for the price. And the floor was absolutely filthy! I went to wipe up some water and I couldn’t believe the dirt that came up. Always wear shoes. If I could attach a picture I would have the dirt. The water was yellow which was concerning. And they charge 15$ per day per person to use a beach chair. Ridiculous when you are a paying guest.

The hotel was beautiful and nice partial view from our balcony of the ocean. Staff was excellent and helpful. The rental equipment stand was a rip off and their equipment was old and broken, exception of jet skiis which were fun. Boogie boards were garbage and the beach chairs were in bad shape. My son got quite a gash on his leg from the broken metal sticking out of the chair. The miniature golf was a waste of time, they charged a fortune and it was like playing in a nuclear wasteland. Dont waste your time or your money. I can't believe they charge for that at all. Breakfast was included, was mediocre but please somebody take the time to clean the tips of the mustard and ketchup bottles daily. They were gross. Our waitress was pleasant and friendly. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Modern clean nice room. On the beach and had a heated pool and whirlpool. Citrus water located in lobby and near the pool. A tiki bar available with decent drinks. But no happy hour specials. Dull tiki bar during the week, it closes at 9 pm. No music and food was ok and expensive for all meals. Still liked it and would return.

Kayaks ( available for rent) putt putt. Beach towels provided for use, no charge. This is our 4th stay. We absolutely have no complaints and love it here! Will return. Housekeeping was was very sub-par! We had 2 double beds that were slept in every night, and they only made one of them every single night. They didn't clean the room or empty trash. The water was yellow, so we had to buy bottled water at a ridiculous price to make coffee, and then the coffee creamer was so old that it was a rock. We returned to our room exhausted from a long day on our last night to a room with no towels! They took the dirty ones and didn't leave any! We had to be up at 3:30am and were over it! The concierge only recommended the very expensive Italian restaurant next door and didn't offer any other guidance about other places to eat. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because it had a hot tub, but we never got to use it, because it was always full and it was closed at dusk. Absolutely a disappointing stay to say the least!

Couldn’t go on balcony because it was covered in bird poop. Many guests complained about this as well to hotel. Hot tub was broken except for last night there. Mini golf course was in horrible shape and too bad to enjoy.

Put in a request for a room in a certain area two months before I checked in. I wanted a room on highest floor, closest to ocean on the south side if possible. I received that complete opposite, back side, furthest from ocean, on back side near parking lot. My friend with me checked in an hour later and got exactly what I wanted. I even checked in early and said are you sure this is a good room because I can wait. The sad part is I've been going to this location for over 25 years. They obviously don't have anything in place to recognize repeat clients. I've known the concierge for over 25 years and enjoy seeing him each time I visit but this may have swayed me not to return.

Great bed and bathroom. Everything else has no upkeep in 40 years. All the “resorts” are old, terrible ocean views and very expensive. You are better off at a chain hotel.

The hotel as a whole is wonderful. Great location. Clean. Close to restaurants and stores. Awesome area for a long walk. The beach is great. We were able to get 2 chairs and an umbrella so we spent the entire day there. The pool area is also great. Lots of chairs available. The only negative are the chairs in the rooms. Not very comfortable. We will definitely be back again.

The suite was very spacious with amazing views. Very clean and great spacious bathroom. We had few issues - it was a 5 person suite and they didn’t provide us with any bedsheet/blanket for the sofa bed. Had to call housekeeping and we were told they ran out of blankets. One of the tv remote didn’t have batteries. Besides that it was a good stay.

Check in experience was a nightmare. We were given attitude from an attendant named caroline. we requested early check in, were told it was a $50 charge before 11am. it was around 10 so we waited, we went to check in after 11am, were then told we now need to wait until 1-2pm by caroline, where she threw a towel card and 2 wrist bands at us. no explanation to what the towel card even was. we just got off a cruise, we wanted to relax, if we were told that, we would’ve just paid the $50. my partner went to talk to her and explain we were told we had a room ready. she then proceeded to state if we check in, we would be on a lower floor. “the lower floor” room was right above their main enterance, you could smell cigarette smoke/weed all night and say so you couldnt sit outside and enjoy the few of their rotting roof, and there was this obnoxious loud dripping noise that didnt stop from sun up to sun down. this room is shouldnt even be a room and they should never rent it out. but i feel as if caroline was annoyed and decided to check us into their nightmare room. we left a review during our stay so Andre was kind enough to give us late check out for free, but in the review we mention the extremely loud obnoxious noise that didnt end, and nothing was done. this place is not a resort, its a nickle and dime motel with a horrible restaurant, and each “amenity” costs you money to use aside from their pool area.

This was my first time visiting Florida, and decided to stay here. The food was horrible and over priced. I paid $50 dollars for two orders of French toast and juice. The pizza was $40 and tasted like it came from a freezer. Bed sheets don’t get changed with house keeping, halls had a weird smell. Also had to pay to use beach chairs on the beach. Only thing good to say was the staff was very kind and respectful. I don’t see myself staying here again. Thank you.

Another con is the cleaning staff. Very slow and rude. Most don’t understand English and don’t understand what you are requesting when they enter your room. Also sometimes our room was cleaned by noon and the next by 7-8 in the evening. The only dining area is very expensive. Especially coffee/tea $3.50 for 4 oz cup and you have to request a refill. Small portions and cold meat. Very disappointing. Lobby and open areas are very nice - clean and beautiful. Pool and hot tub area beautiful and well maintained. However you have to pay for a chair on the beach Very disappointing. Last item is the room balcony area. It is never cleaned and very dirty. Location is awesome. Walking distance to whatever you may want

The room was fine but not great. I had to go in search of housekeeping for certain things. The restaurant was terrible! I spent $30 on 4 chicken tenders that weren’t even hot. That was the cheapest meal I had and the food wasn’t good.

No extra toilet paper, the hotel didn't have any soap for the rooms. I wasn't pleased with the service of the rooms but otherwise all was as expected.

Automatic 20% gratuity for slow inattentive service. Check your bill they don't mention it. Our booking included free valet parking, the fire to charge us anyway.

When I arrived at the room, the toilet hadn't been flushed, there were 2 public hairs on the toilet seat, the shower only had conditioner with no body wash or shampoo dispensers & the sink had no hand soap. I called the front desk and no one answered & the automated attendant with options came on. One option was housekeeping. I selected this option & once again, no answer. Shortly after, there was a knock at my door. The front desk saw that I had called and came up to my room to check on my inquiry. She personally witnessed the toilet, the pubic hairs, the missing body wash, shampoo dispensers & missing soap on the sink. She left and returned with a body wash & conditioner refill. She realized her mistake and advised she would have someone return with shampoo (a security employee did return with the missing shampoo). I reported this to a manager named Andre at the front desk. He was aware of my room issues & apologized. I asked if there would be any concessions due to the room not being cleaned properly. He stated he was sure the General Manager would provide something due to my inconvenience. I also inquired if I could have a late checkout on Sunday due to an evening flight. He asked how late and I said 4pm if possible. He said sure and typed my late checkout notes into the computer. On my second night, I noticed a cockroach on the wall (I took a picture before killing it). On Sunday I went to pickup my updated key cards and staff were unaware of a late checkout and no notes

The hotel apparently must have been through a recent renovation. Everything seemed new, modern and fresh! Clean and kind staff. Right on the beach. Nice stay!

Rooms are tight & noticeably old. Our bathroom door wouldn’t close properly without being slammed into. The gym on the premises was kept at 75 degrees, meaning you got hot before even starting to workout - it was hotter than the lobby area. AC works great at least. Staff was friendly & helpful.

The room was a king deluxe and nice clean and spacious.The 9th floor view was excellent! The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The pool is awesome, right on the Ocean! Also there is a very nice and large hot tub. The restaurant has an amazing ocean view for Breakfast or Dinner. Jet skis, paddle boards and kayaks are available for rental. It is also very close to Winn Dixie and Dunkin’ donuts, several restaurants and Waves souvenir store. The only negative thought is the fact that they do not have a Bicycle stand for those who wish to rent bikes. Overall we had an amazing 10 days there and would definitely return and recommend the Ocean Sky!

Beach access and pool!

The room was excellent, clean and in a quiet place. I had the partial view on the ocen and it really worth it. The hotel was located close to many restaurants and from the Lauderdale by the sea marketplace which was very popular and one of my favorite spot in Fort Lauderdale. I had the breakfast included and it was very good and the service is quick. The hotel is oceanfront which make it perfect to relax at the beach. Its a great location that you won’t regret.

Only two complaints 1st I had to go out in the hall and breakup a hockey game played by kids where the parents were. Don’t know. The same kids were disrupting the pool area. The Employee that took care of that area had to confront not only the kids about pool rules but the parents. 2nd At 2 am we waken by domestic going on for quite a long time.

This is our second time at this hotel, and everything is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are updated and clean. This hotel is located right on the beach. There's a grocery store, McDonald's, and many cafes nearby.

The staff seemed stressed and underpaid. They lack hospitality which i blame management. Word of mouth is the hotels went through recent changes. When i asked for a late check out. I was told it would be $60 for an hour. The beach was unkept. Dont you comb the beach daily?? The toliet was broken and brown. Bathrooms near the pool were dirty and old. The shower was weird. No door, floor got soaked. I visit florida often and Ocean Sky needs a lot of work to be competitive to the rest of resorts. Work hard on hospitality..

Nice pool- but one day no towels in the afternoon said they were being washed- Really!! Food and drinks expensive and not worth it! Cold water in shower, no shower door what a mess!! Water in toilet and bathroom sink yellow! Carpet in hotel hallway needed a sweeper but none seen over the 4 days we were there! Don’t stay there!

Best value you can find for right on the ocean. Also, very friendly staff and walkable to great food/drink options. If I would critique anything, my room was spotless and perfectly cleaned, but they didn’t vacuum or clean the floor hallway over 3 days. That didn’t match up with everything else and the great housekeeping in the actual rooms. But, would recommend on the whole in a big way and a gem for the price.

Need updates for the price charged for a suite. Bathroom was more updates than the room. Cracks in the walls and ceiling of the suite. Fitness room was outdated. Dress came off on first full day of use. Shower mat had blond hair in it ( I have absolutely no blond in my hair) and first use of the shower had rust on shower head.

One really nice place recommend by, Caroline, excellent on the canal name Shooters!The Pork Chops and Trout so good the hotel its self is sm but mighty, clean, comfortable safe.We liked the beds they weren't hard, but thats a personal preference for each person. The Boutique with Madoson,Tara and sometimes Tammy, is packed with lots of stuff for such a little spot! Its not the Ritz, but then your not paying those prices. Its a place we'll go back to over and over!! They are working on the interior area's in the building baseboards etc + other things outside. We had no pronlem with noise. The swimming pool is great + the beach is right there... its WONDERFUL!! THANKS to all the staff for all your help!!

There were multiple cockroaches seen around the property, which is completely unacceptable. The booking site listed beach loungers included, but in reality, only the pool loungers are available. They also only provide one towel per guest — so if you want to enjoy the beach, you’re expected to use the same towel from the pool. The most concerning issue, however, was a guest who appeared to be very friendly with the front desk and asked to take photos of my young daughter in her bathing suit. When I reported it, the front desk brushed it off and said she was “ok.” Another guest later told me the same woman asked to take photos of a young couple — very strange and uncomfortable behavior that should have been taken seriously. Overall, this felt more like a rundown 2-star property than what’s advertised. Poor management, hygiene issues, and a complete lack of guest safety or professionalism. I will not be returning and do not recommend this hotel.

The whole staff is very friendly, giving you the best for a memorable staying. The rooms are updated and comfortable.

Hotel was very convenient to everything, plus, there was a free golf cart type of transportation that would take you anywhere in a mile radius. And, there was so much within that 1 mile. Water taxi, restaurant row, Winn-Dixie, McDonalds to name a few. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. A definite "find."

We only had a partial ocean view, it was ok. We had to change rooms because the a/c had a problem and the phone didn't work. I also realized that I should have had valet parking and I had to do self parking across the street from the hotel. It was ok, but I would not choose this hotel again.

Room was comfortable and spacious. Lobby area very clean and bright. Bathroom was big, only thing I didn’t like was no door on the shower so water would splash out onto the floor every time you used the shower. And I kept finding random hairs in the room (shower, bed, floor) and I’m bald so I know they weren’t mine. But overall great place!

We came in to Ft Laud for a family wedding. There are some things that need addressing. Snack machines for after hours. They were out of order. We had a air conditioner that needed attention. They did change our room and we were fine after that. My aunti had the same problem with her ac. The housekeeping never servised our room after requesting. We were always scrambling for towels and coffee cups and coffee ffor the morning. Over all the staff were amazing. Everyone was extremely kind. We enjoyed ourselves.

My 2 night stay was wonderful staff was wonderful thank you Kathrine and Marcia and the manager at the front desk you guys went above and beyond. To make our stay feel like home. The security staff need to step up there was a huge fight in the lobby where this lady was trashing the entire entrance with food even in the elevator no one seems to do anything about. This was very distasteful and frightening. Otherwise our stay was great!

No hot water for 4 days....Had to run shower for at least 40 minutes before we got hot water in the shower. By this time the entire room was all fogged up and damp from the shower...Overall very disappointed....room overlooked major construction and noise..partial ocean view from terrace

Room did not match the photos, room was at the very opposite side of beach, mostly construction outside the patio. Hot water did not work. Faucet in shower was almost coming out of wall. Water was yellow.

We were on the right side of the property. It was rather noisy as there were roof hvac units below. Last time we were on the left side of the building and it was way more enjoyable sitting on the balcony in the morning. While it was an older building it was nicely updated. The key for us is that it was on the beach. We will stay here again.

The hotel was nice -the restaurant on site was a little pricey for what they were offering appetizers started at $18 etc- the bar was just as expensive- my room was clean and spacious had some paint peeling near the door and the deck door - overall it was a decent place- the pool area and beach were fantastic - I will say though checking in customer service was lacking just a little bit. She seemed to be in a hurry to get me out of the lobby. I had checked in earlier than 4 PM. She very quickly explained that there was a $50 early check-in fee, which was perfectly fine then she just kind of kept trying to say well. I have a clean room available, but I don’t have a clean room available and then it was like let me just put you on the floor to get you out of my way. I was a little taken back. It was my first time there she seemed to want to just get me checked in and out of her way . Overall the place was decent and loved the views of the ocean .

When we entered the room has rust on the door mold in the coffee maker the sheets were damp upon speaking with the front desk they sent sheets up with a maintenance man who expected me to change the sheets the shower was also not able to get hot and the controls were coming off the wall. Access to beach extremely easy. A nice size pool, with a handicap lift and jacuzzi. Tikki bar was well attended. We did not eat at the hotels restaurant. Easy accessibility to Fort Lauderdale by the Sea, which has a good vibe to it. A Winn Dixie, DD, Deli and pizza shop in the near by strip mall. We enjoyed our time there.

Possibly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at EVER!. My first night there the toilet kept backing up then the next day the shower wouldn’t drain I called front desk multiple times multiple days and complained they just kept sending maintenance up to plunged it out!. Till the last day we where there it got so bad that the toilet and shower backed up so much it flooded the room and got all over our clothes shoes ext!. So I called front desk extremely upset and after 3 days of complaining they finally switched our rooms only to find out our tv doesn’t work in the new room!. They overcharged on everything!. They charge you to even use there chairs on the beach even tho it’s part of the hotel!. Food prices were unreasonable 10.10 just for a small order of fries and let’s not even talk about the drinks that barely had a drop of alcohol in it!. The customer service sucked except our first night there at the tiki bar she was amazing everyone else had an attitude all the time!. I would NEVER EVER STAY THERE AGAIN!.

The staff were super friendly. The amenities were great-we were able to rent a kayak and a paddleboard right from the pool deck. They also had jetskis and other beach items to rent. The valet team were wonderdul!
