We were able to get a new room. But this kind of thing is really unacceptable, especially since we still paid full price.
- 4/5
Wonderful front desk staff. When we arrived they were providing an empanada and punch tasting which were lovely. Our room was humid and the air didn’t get as cool as we liked but it wasn’t bad enough to ask to switch rooms since we only stayed 1 night. You are walking distance from stores and restaurants. Great pre-cruise hotel!

We stayed there after a cruise and it was a nice place that was also close to the port. We were lucky enough to get an early check in, which was very much appreciated. The hotel needs a little renovation in a few areas but was very nice overall and the staff at the front desk were very helpful.

We did not eat here but thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Great stay in great location
- 2/5
Called housekeeping they did come up, sprayed a little stuff on the floors and clean them a bit. They really should’ve changed our room. Outside of our room in the hallway there has been some sort of accident in the hallway smelt terrible. They were running fans to help dry it out, but the smell still lingered. In the middle of the night, our air conditioner quit working. It was 77° in the morning very uncomfortable. Working in the morning. I would not recommend this resort because of these issues. It was very close to the first port, and they did provide a breakfast
- 4/5
Very good

Old rundown place rooms are dirty bathrooms and sinks clogged bathroom fans and ac runs very loud juts don’t waste your money

The location The miscommunication between Booking.com and the hotel policies. After the reservation booking guarantees free breakfast via email. Once at the property we were told to call Booking because we were not in their system.

DIDN’T USE THE BAR.
- 5/5
Very close to ship practically can walk it was six dollars with a Lyft or Uber you don’t have to pay to eight dollars per person from their shuttle
- 2/5
Clean, no free breakfast, must pay to park, parking is far from lobby and must carry luggage across parking lots and around buildings curbs. Completely inefficient and no breakfast to boot. .

The staff was super friendly, the property was stunning. Room was clean and comfortable and I was able to get a run in by the harbor.
- 4/5
The staff is great but the rooms could use some updating.
- 3/5
The rooms are definitely outdated. We had a small incident in the bathroom pretty late at night, I believe it was a bit past 11:30pm. We asked the front desk for assistance & they said they had no maintenance or housekeeping on site at that time and could not help. I was also expecting a view of the water but this is more so my fault for not checking at the time of booking that this hotel is not in fact by the water. Overall I give it a 5/10
- 1/5
Roaches, multiple in the bathroom. Very old it worth $500 for one night. So not stay here, there are better in the area for pre cruise stays.
- 5/5
We were leaving on a cruise so close to the port was great and the shuttle was very convenient Everything was fine

Beautiful room and VERY close to ship terminal for cruise. Great restaurant next door - the Boat Yard.
- 5/5
Clean room. Nice sheets, towels. Easy checkin
- 4/5
The room was extremely comfortable and clean. All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. It can't have a more convenient location for accessing the cruise port.

Very close to cruise terminal.
- 5/5
Super nice gentleman checked me in. Made sure we receive our special requests, assisted with parking and got us signed in for our desired shuttle time for the cruise terminal. Great pizza in the bar too!
- 3/5
Room is very dated and needs a renovation. Double beds instead of queen beds. Old bathroom. Musty smell. Not up to the standards we expected from a Renaissance property. Very rude staff at check in. Disappointing.
- 2/5
Our floor had water underneath it from a leak. Walking around and water would start coming up from the floor boards and making floor slippery
- 4/5
No coffee bar
- 3/5
The pool was too cold to enjoy...comm9n bathroom smelt of sewage
- 3.5/5
DID NOT EAT aged looking and chargd for breakfast
- 3/5
Had such great ratings I was disappointed at the property… cracked bathroom sink, bathroom fan doesn’t work and is the steamiest most bathroom drenching shower head lol… only two bath towels for overnight two guests which means you have to use a wet towel in the morning if you washed the travel germs and sweat off before bed… just seems subpar for the money. The room decor was badly in need of updating it is really bad both “art” and furniture are outdated and the room needed paint and a refresh for sure. The location to the cruise port is the only thing it has going for it.
- 5/5
Bed was very comfortable. Did not eat on campus but very walkable to other restaurants.
- 1/5
There was a limit to the free breakfast and it’s $25 per person. The free breakfast is a continental breakfast. There was an up charge for the full breakfast buffet…. Not custom friendly. Front desk staff could be improved in addition to the breakfast pricing.
- 5/5
Nice clean hotel, which is close to the port.
- 1/5
Amenities/BAD DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
- 5/5
Great hotel! Family friendly
- 3/5
There were no amenities in the room. Also, breakfast was included in the rate but the hotel said it was limited to $25 and the buffet was $32, so had to pay the difference.
- 3/5
The hotel was sufficient for one night. It could use a renovation. My colleague & I chose it for the location.
- 3/5
- 5/5
Breakfast was nothing special. I will eat out the next time. Drink in the bar is very expensive. Nice clean large room and comfy bed and pillows
- 4.5/5
Room was well appointed and spacious. Lots of hot water for showers!! Breakfast was too much for our tastes; however, staff arranged for us to have only what we wanted to eat and charge us accordingly, much appreciated! General confusion about transfers to cruise terminal in the morning! But staff helped to sort it out, and our group of 6 got a timely transfer.

Great property across from cruise terminal.
- 4.5/5
Easy access , beautiful Paid parking while staying
- 4/5
Check in was smooth, the hotel pool was nice-great for the kids. They have a hot tub my boyfriend liked. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions. Not dirty clean. Overall staying here was great.
- 5/5
Amazing service and loved the place
- 5/5
Only downside, if you reserve parking for a cruise know that it’s outdoor roof top. No coverage from the weather.
- 5/5
everything
- 3/5
Overall, it was an adequate stay — friendly service was a highlight, but improvements to the rooms would really elevate the experience.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff
- 5/5
Clean property close to airport and port Everglades. Small pool with dated umbrellas. Rooms were updated. Perfect for short stay.
- 5/5
Great places to walk to. The hotel was clean and fun to be at.
- 5/5
Perfect location for pre cruise stay. Rooms were clean, spacious and clean.
- 5/5
Carmen the waitress was very attentive, and so were the rest of the staff, room was clean and kept up very well
- 3/5
We didn’t make it!
- 5/5
It was great but no all the staff where kind to me. And some things in the bathroom where al lil
- 5/5
Very good
- 1/5
A guest across the hall from my room was banging on the door from 3:30 am until 5:00 am. We called the front desk and they were no help. They refused to stop the woman or have her removed. There was also a safety issue due to the fact that you could not access the floor without a key, yet this woman was able to access without a key. I had to change hotels and the property manager refused to refund my money.
- 2.5/5
The elevator was broken. Huge reunion going on with kids running in the hallways all night.
- 5/5
Stephanie at the front desk was very welcoming, made check-in such a positive experience - thank you!
- 2/5
Air was broken, parking was 30.00
- 3/5
Rooms and facilities were nice. Food was not as advertised. No espresso drinks because machine was, “out of order for the foreseeable future.” Had to tell them about my breakfast being included 2 days in a row. Menu makes food sound really good and worth the high prices and does not deliver. “Belgium waffles with whipped honey butter” tasted like stale dense pancake mix poured on a waffle maker and came with cold rock hard foil-wrapped butter packs. If I had to pay $25 bucks for that I would have been more bummed. Seems like they are having some issues. Still the room was nice and it was a convenient location for my work needs.
- 5/5
Nice stay before cruise
- 5/5
Very impressed and will stay there again. Better upkeep than another hotel had in the same area.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with a lot of shopping and dining options close.
- 2/5
THEY ACTUALLY MADE ME GET OUT OF LINE AT THE FRONT DESK AND USE MY PHONE TO BOOK A ROOM INSTEAD OF TAKING MY RESERVATION AT THE DESK. No one was in line behind me but the hotel was almost hostile about helping me. We stayed the night before and we had boat trouble and had to stay another night. It was so RUDE and inconsiderate that the front desk would not help us and made us stay in the lobby and book our room on our own. I booked the 5 rooms then got back to the front desk and gave the clerk my resveration number and she helped me like that was normal. I sware I thought I was in a Saturday Night live skit. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND POLICY!!! I will NEVER EVER stay at this hotel again.
- 5/5
Everything was good with the stay at the property. The amenities were great and the breakfast was 10/10. Even though the young lady on morning shift was very rude and not welcoming to me when I reached out asking about the parking being applied to my card, when Expedia agreed to pay for everything. Rooms is nice and house keeping did great with keeping the room upkept.
- 0.5/5
One restaurant bar open and a huge group was way overboard and staff did nothing to control them
- 3/5
The check-in was delayed by an hour, even though it was scheduled for 4 PM. There was not even any sort of upgrade or compensation for that delay. The bathroom sink was clogged. The food is mediocre, the lounge is full of kids playing ball. The pool is miniscule. The gym is mediocre. The staff is inattentive in particular, the desk staff at the reception. Very thinly staffed.
- 5/5
Nice place to say before our cruise.
- 5/5
Thank you!
- 4.5/5
Great location, good breakfast selection
- 5/5
Great property that was very convenient to the cruise port
- 2/5
The pool is small . Price way too high. Small hotel. A lot of kids. Restaurants' prices for food and drinks were very high. .
- 4/5
Your pool area is to small
- 4/5
Lovely place but being so close to a main intersection meant it was very noisy to sit out by the pool
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Breakfast was good and plentiful once they kept the buffet refilled. Pool area was good as were the snacks there. Easy accessibility to restaurants within walking distance. Easy to get to the port with transportation quick and reasonably priced Check in was a little confusing with staff more attentive to each other than the customer
- 5/5
Very nice and close to shops and restaurants
- 1/5
When we arrived our room was not ready. We were informed we would receive a call when the room was ready. We checked at 9 pm was told the room was ready but not phone call to notify us. We were charged for the room even though it was pre paid.
- 5/5
Beautiful place perfect if you going in a cruise literally up the street
- 5/5
Lovely stay
- 3/5
Food options. We thought there was a restaurant there for dinner but there wasn't. The breakfast was amazing though
- 3/5
Things didn’t work like room key elevator. Food was good lack of enough staff but those working were polite and friendly
- 4/5
Property needs updating; in house food/drink over priced
- 1/5
Room was dirty, sheets didnt fit properly, bathroom was very dirty. If you like to party stay here loud music and doors banging loud voices till 5am
- 2/5
Room was dirty and when asked for more towels we were told no.
- 3/5
Seemed over priced
- 3/5
Decent, but overpriced for what it is.
- 1/5
My suit jacket was stolen by the maintenance staff. I left it in the closet and called two hours after checkout. The next day, they told me it was never found because the cleaning staff has different schedules and high turnover.
- 3/5
Hotel is dated and needs a big face lift. Our bathtub and sick were both clogged and the room was musty. We had paid for breakfast with our booking, but the hotel charged us an additional $50 once we checked out. Now I’m going to have to fight with them to get back the $50. Not a great experience
- 3/5
Was quite expensive for what we got.
- 5/5
Staff are very helpful rooms are reasonable and nice.

- 2/5
staff was very nice and helpful. Although the horrible smell in lobby and in our room. appeared to be some leaks throughout
- 2/5
All around needs help. Incompetent and not enough staff to support customers, room was just dirty and not because it wasn’t ready it just is dirty and needs BLEACH! Wouldn’t recommend
- 5/5
Great place to stay and a really nice staff
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and had a restaurant. Easy travel from the airport and to the cruise port.
- 1/5
It is to overprice and not extremely clean, on our floor there was two big bags of sheets and towels in the hallway all night and dirty q-tips and wrappers on the floor. And for 500$ a night we didn’t know that breakfast wasn’t included and that was another 60$. Would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel in a beautiful area with great ease to transport and restaurants. Staff treated us well and we enjoyed our time there.
- 3/5
The toilet had urine stains. I asked three times for another luggage cart but never received it. Bare toiletries,no shower cap.
- 4/5
We were very happy with the cleanliness of this hotel. Thumbs up to the cleaning staff who were friendly as well. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
- 3/5
Hotel was mostly ok. Except quite understaffed. The room hadn’t been completely prepared. No soap at sink for hands. No hair dryer. Could have used another towel. With note, they did provide soap for sink the next day. Didn’t notice missing hair dryer until that second day so mentioned to front desk when checking out. Did have a friend in another room find a half eaten hamburger on shelf in bathroom. So clearly, attention to detail and cleaning checklist is desperately needed.
- 2/5
Rate included breakfast however they tried to charge $30 for a 6 year old. Booked room for 4 people…why isn’t breakfast included in the price for 4 people?
- 4/5
I loved the convenience for pre cruise. The shuttle service to the ship was excellent. I will be back.
- 4/5
Staff is welcoming and friendly . Appreciate the free mimosas, Rum Lunch and empanadas while waiting to check in. Great location near the Cruise Port
- 3/5
Hair in bed sheets.
- 4/5
Very conveniently located both from the vruise port and to the airport.
- 2/5
Room was not ready on time - had to be put on a "wait list" during check in well after the 4 pm check in time. Not acceptable at this price point.
- 5/5
Great pre cruise place to stay. Lots of eating options
- 5/5
Very clean, great staff, very close to cruise terminal
- 5/5
This is a beautiful property, very friendly staff.
- 5/5
All was good. Lots of noise during the night.
- 4/5
The property was comfortable and clean. The restaurant and bar were great with very good service. The woman at the front desk was rude and not at all a pleasure to deal with. We chalked it up to a bad day but could have done without the issue. I will stay here again, we did enjoy our stay!
- 5/5
We enjoyed ourselves relaxing before our cruise.
- 5/5
Good hotel next to port
- 4/5
Staff was great, the food in the bar restaurant was good. The breakfast was ok but nothing special. The convenience of leaving our car right at the hotel while on our cruise was great. The shuttle to the port was reasonable and efficient. Our room was a little dated as it hadn’t been renovated yes. We were on the 11th floor. Would definitely stay there again if taking a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale.
- 5/5
hotel, cruise port and airport so fast and easy.
- 1/5
They over charged me for a breakfast that should have been free !!! $71.00 for a continental breakfast really
- 3/5
I won't be staying at a Marriott Bonvoy facility again.
- 5/5
Very convenient location to cruise terminal
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 3/5
Great for location to cruise port. But
- 5/5
Close to everything.
- 5/5
Lovely pre-cruise stay.
- 2/5
We have stayed here many times before. This time the rooms seemed dated. The floors were not clean. The breakfast was totally cut back from what it used to be. Definitely has dipped in quality over the years.
- 5/5
Great pool. Very clean and beautiful lobby. Staff was amazing!
- 5/5
Staff were awesome. Property is convenient to airport and cruise port.
- 4/5
The rooms need attention and desperate need for remodeling. Showers/bathrooms are from the 80s
- 4/5
A hurricane disrupted the power supply temporarily during checkin. The elevators were out of order so we had to carry our luggages up to the third floor. Room was rather dated but comfortable enough. Breakfast buffet was simple. There is a shuttle service to the cruise terminal e dry 30 minutes on cruise departure dates at $8 per person.
- 5/5
We are so glad we stayed at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel! Gigi at the front desk was AMAZING! She provided excellent customer service and is chiefly responsible for making our stay so great! Thank you! We'll be back!
- 5/5
Great location for convention Center. It has many options for dinner option near-by within walking distance. Hotel is clean, do shows a little bit of age in the furniture. Overall its a nice hotel to stay at.
- 5/5
We had the best experience and will be back again!
- 5/5
The staff took such great care of me and my family! We will definitely be back!
- 2/5
Floor construction above our floor. Very loud noise throughtout the day time. No prior notice given. Complained but staff didn't do anything for us.
- 4/5
The front desk service is inconsistent. The front desk lady who checked me in was rude. She was busy arguing with her colleagues and didn’t greet me, didn’t tell me where is my room, how to get to the elevator, etc. On the other hand, when we checked out, the gentleman at the front desk was very polite and pleasant!
- 5/5
Great convenient hotel with nice pool for day before cruise. Easy shuttle service and very friendly staff
- 5/5
Close to a few shops and restaurants and port
- 4/5
Very reasonable property not too far from the beach, and the FLL airport. The bed looked tired but everything else including the dining, drink options with a great staff makes up for everything. Recommended
- 5/5
Very close to the airport and very comfortable
- 1/5
front desk staff keeps on repeating like a parrot - 'we are not responsible - you left your stuff behind' I feel there is no credible and prompt internal communication to find out the facts of the missing article of clothing. they have yet to take any action besides just repeating that they are not responsible
- 5/5
Conveniently located near the port and not far from the Brightline Train Station. Also, provides shuttle service to your cruise ship for a nominal fee. Nice pool and hot tub, comfortable room.
- 5/5
The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious!! I would definitely stay again
- 5/5
Nice hotel, great location. Room was a bit dated but very clean.
- 3/5
Rooms were dated and mattress was terrible. Fine for one night before a cruise.
- 2/5
Pool had green algae was not brushed needed more chlorine. Renovation was going on too.
- 3/5
Elevator broken, mediocre location and in need of major renovation. The staff were exceptionally nice.
