Reviews
The hotel's location is consistently praised, being close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping areas. However, the cleanliness of the rooms and the comfort of the beds are frequently criticized.

Hay muchas cosas que deben estar incluidas al rentar la propiedad

Ok

Your ad shows amenities but was misleading by the pictures. All amenities were across the street at the prime property.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay!
- 4/5
Con's: Coffee maker (makes weak coffee) Amenities were right across the street. Unless you book for bay view, expect really, no view. Great place to sleep. Recommendations: Replace coffee makers with single serve Keurig's

Un 10/10 para este hotel, de seguro voy a volver, súper contenta con la limpieza del lugar, la ubicación exelente, los empleados super amables y el ambiente 10/10 también. Lo recomiendo 100 por ciento.

Room was nice and renovated

- 5/5
They renovations were great. Thoroughly enjoyed it there!
- 5/5
It’s in a perfect spot to all the amenities without the party scene.
- 5/5
Stay was great!
- 4/5
Resort had a fun vibe. 2 bars and several restaurants and shops. Easy beach access. The Bay Inn was across the street from the main resort, but preferred that as it was quieter.
- 5/5
Had a wonderful time, but felt that our stay should’ve included parking. We had to pay $20/day to park in hotel parking lot. Felt that should be a given for hotel guests.
- 4/5
The location was probably the best part. We spent most of our time at the beach and walking around to nearby bars and restaurants. Everything was within walking distance, and we never had to move the car all weekend. If you’re looking for a clean, convenient, affordable place close to everything, this is a great option for a weekend getaway or staycation. I would definitely recommend it.
- 4/5
Location was excellent. I didn't like that my room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. I wish they would've told me at check in.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 3.5/5
The room was great. The amenities were great too. The bed was the most UNCOMFORTABLE bed we have ever slept in!
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. We use the pool and beach access across the street at the larger hotel
- 4.5/5
Great location! Great room!
- 4/5
Clean and neat.
- 4/5
The room was nice. No one told us we had to check into the Lonnie Kia across the street.
- 4.5/5
This was the only problem breakfast did not start until 8:30 in the morning. we are early risers. This did not work for us. So we were unable to take advantage of the free breakfast. Overall, the room was clean, comfortable the air conditioner worked without any problems. The linens were fine. Hairdryer was available. No complaints on the room at all. Parking was available right in front of the door. We were in the rooms across the street from the main hotel, which was not a problem at all. They leave problem we had was the breakfast started late for us at 8:30 in the morning all in all, great one day stay in my favorite state ?
- 3.5/5
The horrible, rude chair rental people in front of the hotel. They’re very rude very aggressive. I probably won’t come here again because of the horrible rude chair rental people which I know is probably separate from the hotel
- 4.5/5
I was extremely happy with my stay , love my view , the place was just completely remodeled and is beautiful. Basically only have 2 things I think could be addressed. They could put some cutlery in the units maybe some plastic glassware plates?! Also those rubber wristbands that are the key fobs, make them in a couple sizes, mine was so large I have a smaller size wrist I had to wear it on my ankle!! I honestly wasn’t a fan of having to take off to open the door each time. Women do have smaller wrists.
- 5/5
front desk workers were extremely pleasant
- 5/5
Located across from the ocean and the main hotel it’s the best of both worlds and the room had a coffee maker, fridge, microwave and utensils, clean, friendly and a quick walk to time square. A patio on the bay. Fantastic value.
- 4/5
No complaints
- 5/5
Clean and updated rooms. Nice dining and bar options.
- 5/5
Everything was great except the bathroom was a little tight but
- 5/5
Very close to Lani Kai and can use all the amenities too! I thought the price was a tad steep but it was very nice & accommodating. Hopefully I can catch a better deal next time!
- 4/5
The room , the location was fantastic, we called twice and even went to the front desk in person to get our towels replaced and garbage thrown out and no one came , other than that , it was great !
- 5/5
Property was clean. Staff was very friendly efficient. They had everything set up and ready to go, but a note to your customers if they stay at the bay side, Lani Kai there is not an elevator and it is 3 stories.
- 5/5
great staff, great location, good entertainment!
- 5/5
My husband and I love Lani Kai, we missed it. This was our first trip back since the hurricane. Room was spacious, and very clean. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast delicious and big. Can't wait to come back next year 🍹🌴💕
- 5/5
Excellent location. Great size room. Super clean and very friendly staff. N/A
- 5/5
Excellent. We just enjoy so much !!Rooms very clean and just across de beach !!
- 1/5
Did not have pool access, over all misleading with the room advised. Stayed in an old run down part that looks like it was another place purchased to bait and switch
- 4/5
Nice room, front desk was less then helpful but the room was great
- 5/5
Did not use pool, beach right there.I did not use spa
- 4/5
Just across the street from the pool and best beach areas. Very nice remodeling job at the Bay Inn % Lani Kai. A couple hundred dollars a day less than some others nearby.
- 3/5
The pool was nice, a bit chilly.
- 5/5
No complaints
- 2.5/5
We were to stay at lani kai with ocean view, the building we stayed in didnt have a window, certainly no ocean view when the ocean was across the road.
- 5/5
So much to do at the resort so many restaurants No elevator across the street lol I got my exercise in we stayed on the 3rd floor but it really wasn’t bad
- 4/5
did not eat Breakfast. The blinds in our room did not close all the way. we tried straightening them. felt like someone could look into our room if they tried.
- 4/5
So clean. Best view on the island. Staff was helpful. Check out the Bay Inn across the street. Sister hotel just as nice and a little more budget friendly.
- 4/5
Only i dudnt like was the beds are hard.
- 4/5
Older property. I liked our room. A few things need maintenance but overall functional and charming place. Staff is very nice and helpful. Overall I liked our stay.
- 5/5
Nothing, everything was great!
- 4.5/5
The hotel room was exceptionally clean and recently renovated. The floor plan was well thought out and had everything we needed. The view over the canal was great! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. There are only a few things I would add/change to make it even better (full length mirror or at least one other mirror besides the bathroom, more bathroom hooks including shower) With all the facilities to use at Lani Kai this is the perfect location and price! My only complaint would be the better specify which rooms have a view of the canal. We had a large party and based on the photos online, we assumed all of the rooms had canal views which was not the case.
- 4/5
Newly remodeled, close to everything for walkability.
- 4.5/5
Location to beach was great and you didn't have to look for parking I wish room was bigger and bar stayed open later
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was very friendly!

It was a very nice stay. Nothing was bad about the entire hotel stay experience. I stayed for 6 days and wish i could have stayed longer.
- 5/5
Perfect location
- 5/5
This is not my first time staying here. We stayed on the bay side clean n spacious . A/c worked well. I’d recommend and I’ll continue to stay here when in town.
- 4/5
Was older building but was comfortable. Ac and bed could be better but for the price was fair. Pool and beach right across the street. Less than 10 minute walk to times Square shopping and food
- 5/5
However, the room was clean and located just across the street from the gulf. The staff was friendly. The area was fun, though it was predominantly young adults. Overall, we can’t complain for a last minute $100 room.
- 1/5
Staff renting umbrella and chair do NOT work for Lani Kai and guests pay full rates. Yep, $27 a day to lay in the sand in front of your hotel. Oh and they control when the umbrella goes up or down to wind. Hit me in the closing on my neck which has a 14” steel plate on my spine. My cane was with me. Disabled guests are not accomodated. Skip this property, and Fort Myers. Jimmy Buffett cant save this place.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay that allowed the same experience as the hotel with the added benefit of having a kitchen. Normal wear and tear of the room. Felt very secure and the staff was on top of making sure you had a great experience.
- 2/5
The bed was hard and lumpy. The atmosphere was loud. It was difficult to sleep comfortably.
- 4/5
Beautiful beach. Updated property. Comfortable bed.
- 4/5
I thought I was getting a 1 bedroom, like when we stayed before. We had a kitchen and living and a separate bedroom. This time a motel room.
- 5/5
Everything was great. Nice bay view, spacious room, a/c was cold
- 2/5
There was huge bugs in the room, and the staff didn’t seem to care. The kitchen smelt like cat piss and the ice machine won’t work half the time. Stay at the sister resort, the bay inn is forgot about
- 4/5
Everything was wonderful! excellent location, within walking distance to everything…The Beds were super uncomfortable, they need to definitely update the beds!
- 5/5
Fun quirky tourist trap. The bay motel has an amazing patio by the river, and quick walking access to everything. It’s an older building so not perfect but I definitely want to return!
- 5/5
We had a (big) water leak in our room when it rained...we informed the front desk and they sent a maintenance guy who told us "this is normal". When we checked out we told the front desk again and there were other people checking out that told the same story...we were all told that it was "normal"!
- 5/5
Great and clean hotel friendly and family oriented!
- 5/5
Fun & Relaxing

Don’t do it. Normally I’m not one to leave such a bad review. But I wish I would’ve had a review like this so I wouldn’t have booked it. I was in town for one night for business. Online it looked decent. Maybe not a typical pick for me. But it looked nice. I was wrong If the sheets didn’t look clean and it wouldn’t have only been sleeping there for one night. I would’ve left. And honestly I still should’ve. The rooms were something else, not like the photos showed. A window ac unit that was loud with jank foam around it. Little tiny tiny bugs plus the much larger something I killed on my sheets when I woke up. The pool is across the main road, it had so much stuff floating in it, a dirty diaper just laying poolside with no diaper age children around. No back on the remote covering the batteries, I mean I could go on and on. My fave local pizza place wasn’t open so I opted to go upstairs to the island view. Grossest waste of a $17 pizza I’ve ever attempted to eat. Upon checkout I walked all the way over to the office and explained the situations and how uncomfortable I was and she told me nothing could be done because I booked through orbitz. Steer clear. Don’t book t

- 3/5
Needed updating ended up staying at sister hotel across street which was great!!! lani kai..
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay. Room was clean. No water pressure and the bed kinda dipped in the middle but room was great overall. The only amenity we used was the pool and it was clean and didn’t reek of chlorine thankfully. The only thing I didn’t care for was the fact that you can’t walk around with anything to eat or drink that wasn’t purchased at the resort. We will definitely stay again!
- 4/5
Cutesy Inn with an acceptable dated beach vibe. Amenities connecting with sister Hotel Lani Kai across the street are incredibly necessary. But the full package gives decent 4/5 rating for me. Constantly battled ants. But room service was SPEEDY, and very accommodating. Great location.
- 5/5
Christina the manager was amazing. I can not wait to go back.
- 4/5
Just an overnight stay to catch the Key West Express.
- 3/5
The staff wasvwonderful. The facility is aging and needs sone work.
- 3/5
Location was good
- 5/5
Front desk was very friendly. We tried to upgrade to the main resort but they were booked. Our room was actually really cute and the bed was not bad at all! We had one small issue but they came and fixed it immediately. Would 100% stay again or the main resort. Pricing was not bad at all! Went for a last trip as a babymoon/celebrating 2 year wedding anniversary and it was worth it!
- 5/5
It was a very fun friendly and inviting place. The bay inn was very relaxing and calming on the dock area.
- 4/5
Property has everything you need!! Lani Bay has paper thin walls and extremely noisy!! So sad
- 4/5
It was perfect for the occasion, just to get a taste of spring break in Fort Myers & to be a lanai kai guest while paying a lower bargain compared to the main property, it worked well for me because i was barely in the room.
- 5/5
Our stay was amazing! It was SO nice to be across the street from the action where it's a little quieter. All of the facilities were easily accessible and the room was wonderful! The staff was so kind and helpful too!
- 4/5
definitely recommend the bay in at the lani kai. our room was perfect for the two of us and private/quiet comparing to the island view lani kai. only complaint is that the beds were a little uncomfy
- 3/5
We stayed one night at the Bay at Lani Kai. Definately not somewhere we would stay for multiple nights. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Rooms was very warm even though we had the air conditioner on. De Humidifier was off and on all night. Room ws very old and runndown. Water pressure was pretty much non existent, shower fixtures were hanging off the shower wall.
- 5/5
I love the resort. I stayed there several times. It's my place on Fort Myers beach to be. Great food. Restaurants. Good drinks great intertanment. The service is great. And the people are so friendly.
- 5/5
Great place if you’re not concerned with being on the beach. Just across the street. Would stay here again
- 4/5
The price was reasonable compared to other places. it’s an older hotel, but clean room with nice amenities in bathroom. The restaurant at the top of the main hotel was excellent with stunning views of the Gulf and beach
- 5/5
This is an older property but decently maintained. It was very clean and so convenient to the beach. My only complaint was low water pressure from the shower. I will stay again without a doubt!
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Nice room with amenities. Reasonable price for our stay.
- 5/5
An awesome experience from start to finish. Amazing staff, beautiful beach.
- 4/5
Beach…free parking! Clean room…suite with kitchenette and living room space…TV with many cable channels…very nice
- 3/5
The lock was broken and no safe in the room.
- 4/5
Great location
- 4/5
centrally located good food and entertainment
- 2/5
the hotel was cozy but the linens, pillows and towels were dirty and in different human hair
- 4/5
What a fun place to stay. It’s a party every day at the beach with a DJ also games and entertainment. If you’re not into that type and prefer a quiet spot this is not your place. The location is great with plenty to do nearby. During the holiday break traffic was terrible it was much easier to walk places than drive. Rooms are average and the property is dated but fairly comfortable. The staff was frequently cleaning stairs, walkways and public areas throughout the day.
- 3/5
My issue was bugs in our unit at the bay. All we had was drinks in our room. And at night I saw some roaches
- 4/5
very unique place. older proprty. friendly. wildly painted. beach is great. restaurants affordable. down to earth, afforable, different. i would go back.
- 5/5
The room was clean and very cute! Staff was very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again! Very close to all the fun and the beautiful beach.
- 1/5
Air Conditioner, coffee pot, and some lights didn’t work. Parking really confusing when you get there. Shower was great. We won’t be staying here again.
- 3/5
We stayed at the units across the street from the main hotel. I found them to be average at best. The rooms could’ve used to have been painted and the grounds themselves were not in the greatest of shape. We did it at one of the restaurants at the main hotel and the food was fabulous.
- 5/5
For elderly people, no evaluator in the building we stayed in 3 floors up
- 5/5
We stayed at The Bay Inn at Lani Kai & it was excellent. We enjoyed having all the Lani Kai has to offer with restaurants, bars, pool, entertainment & the beach but enjoyed it being a bit quieter at night at The Bay Inn. The room was clean & the staff were very helpful & friendly. We enjoyed it so much we are heading back next week for another night.
- 2/5
Seriously in need of new bed. This was so moisy ut drowned out the music. And truly needs elevator. 2 old people with hip replacement had to climb stairs to 3rd floor.
- 4/5
I was reluctant at first due to some prior reviews, but I had a great experience at this property. I reserved the full kitchen suite, and it was fairly well-equipped and clean. TVs were nice, with the living room operating off a fire TV streaming type service and the bedroom with full cable (mounted on ceiling above bed). Room and bedding was very comfy, and there was plenty of hot water and okay pressure for shower. Fridge and freezer worked great and having the kitchen saved me at least $150.00 by limiting meals out. I was at the Bay Inn in 1203, but it was still very convenient to the main campus across the street. Restaurant choices were nice, but a couple of them were only open once in a while, and the bar with pizza was only open day I arrived and closed rest of the time. Security was plentiful and there was no craziness that I observed. DJ with live music was nice. All staff, including check-in and check-out were very pleasant. Had one small issue with very loud bass-vibrating music coming from neighbor (outrageously loud), but after a polite call to front desk, they quickly turned it down and no further issues. The rear deck area that sits on a canal was quiet and a nice place to sit (lounge chairs provided). The property does sell its unused spaces to the public for parking, but on one day, it sold all the spaces while I was grocery shopping. Only slight inconvenience till they rearranged cars. I would stay again.
- 3/5
Would have been 5/5, but overall was very disappointed with out thin the walls are. We could hear EVERYTHING. Whether it was the partiers outside or the family near us with - their daughter's name was Hannah based on how many times we heard her crying, yelling, and being told to stop doing something by name - through the walls. Also, I had almost forgotten two other things. 1) the outlets did not charge our phones / ipad very well at all - items would die while using & charging. 2) the hot water was not very consistent, tried taking a bath few times and couldn't get hot water long enough to fill up the bath tub.
- 4/5
It worked fine for the price. Good location.
- 5/5
Have stayed there before and will again. Everyone very friendly and professional.
- 1/5
My room booking was messed up so had to move my room multiple times. Rooms were not cleaned every day unless you specifically requested it, which they didn't tell you until your room wasn't cleaned for the day. Sheets were not changed during week. Room was not swept as there was sand on room floor all week. They did not seem motivated to make things correct with my room booking, like it was my problem not theirs.
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
Property is ok. If it wasn’t affiliated with Lani Kai it wouldn’t be worth it. Mattresses are horrible. Getting housecleaning even worse. We were there three days before we got clean towels, which we had to ask for. Three days later we were asking again. Bed changed once. Toilet never cleaned and the water pressure is horrible.
- 2/5
Not much to like. The room was worn out. The window a/c was loud and did not keep both rooms cool. The bathroom was not clean, stains in the shower. There was sand in the bed when we first used it. And it wasn't from us.
- 1/5
So many small ants everywhere
- 1/5
The place had ants all over it
- 1/5
The place had ants all over it
- 4/5
The suite on the back overlooked the inland waterway - which is lovely - and was quiet and a lovely place to have coffee on the balcony in the morning and evening.
- 5/5
It's a beach hotel. didn't have a bay side view, but had a beach view, across the street. Walking distance from everything. We will be going back there for sure. One of the best parts of this place, there are no room "keys." they are a water resistant bracelet. No worries about loosing a key!
- 5/5
The location is amazing. You can walk to a large amount of restaurants and bars. The beach is clean and easy access to parasailing, and jet skiing. Night life entertainment is A with all the different things to do at the Lani Kai and then all the surrounding establishments. We go back as often as possible and stay here every time.
- 2/5
The property itself was nice but we were put in a room that had black mold on the ceiling and the ceiling in the kitchen had a bad leak. When I called the desk they told me they would leave a note on my account but nothing was offered as an exchange in rooms or any refund. The floors were also dirty. Otherwise everything else was fine.
- 4/5
I highly recommend and will stay here again. Happy hour has great food and drink prices!!
- 3/5
When you stay here it is for the location of the property. It is located close to all the bars, restaurants and stores. The actual property is beat up and not taken care of very well. The older woman that checked me in had the personality of a dog with rabies.
- 3/5
Another complaint is that the large beach area in front of hotel is totally full with their own rental umbrellas which does not give room for people to put our umbrella and chairs. Other than that, the hotel is fun, the pool is nice and is close walk to the downtown area with restaurants and attractions
- 5/5
It was just what I wanted, perfect location. Able to workload everywhere needed.
- 5/5
It's a nice place. Although the pool was closed for a while due to lighting and the ocean water was dirty.
- 2/5
The room was clean, however, we didn't know we weren't staying in the main building. We were assigned a building across the street in not so good surroundings. What made it worse, we checked in late at night, which we alerted them of due to the Key West ferry coming back at 10pm. Very scary place with people shouting and having parties. Some people were suspicious looking.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Perfect room for 4 people. Great location right across the street from the beach and the main resort is right across as well and offers activities for both kids and adults making it the ideal place.
- 4/5
Bay Inn is across the street from the main property, quieter and themed very beachy and cute. Very comfortable and clean. A/C is a window unit in the entry living room so crank it up when you arrive to ensure cool comfort later as the bedroom is in the adjoining room. They had a standing oscillating fan in the closet which was great as a noise maker. We slept very well. Great location and parking!
- 2/5
First night we went to the beach using our beach towel, next day housekeeping cleaned the room and took a beach towel, I informed the front desk when we returned that night. It was supposed to be returned. Next morning I called and it was supposed to be looked into AGAIN, on check out I again tryed to get it returned, waited for a supervisor for 20 min NO SHOW. So I left
