The breakfast was not much. Disappointing. People (not office staff) in the office not really doing anything; no grab bar in shower; only cereal and a loaf of bread for toast for breakfast

I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff/manager. I was able to check in early. The room was nice and comfy, all was clean, bed comfortable. My only negative (and not really the fault of the hotel itself) is that it is a bit noisy since it is located right on Rt 1, Emancipation Hwy and near the freeway. So lots of traffic and unfortunately there were several emergency vehicles with the sirens on going past the hotel. Other than the noise, it was a great value and a very nice room.

Sent me to another Econo lodge - which had no rooms available. I had to try and find other accommodations! Expedia is BS If this review is rejected I will just post it on Google review, Yelp, Facebook, Instgram and other sites

The pillows we're so old they were flat, when looked under pillow case it was so stained and gross,a glop of mold between mattress and box spring, dirt and disgusting behind bed , nightstand and couch. When I stepped on bathroom floor then bath towel it left dirt marks after showering, floors don't look like they were mopped in who knows when. Comforter had holes in it! I actually threw my clothes away and didn't take them back home as not sure about anything there! I can't say anything good about this hotel or experience, yes you get what you pay for, not a way to start vacation, just wanted a good night sleep to drive rest of way, should have slept in car. Didn't sleep at all!

Great stay
- 2/5
Room had used hair products in it instead of new. Only one bath towel when I arrived. Needed to ask for a full set of towels for 2 occupants.
- 1/5
Unfriendly attendant. Room reeked of bleach or disinfectant. Appearance of facility was in a very unsavvy condition. Needed major upgrading and repairs
- 1/5
The sheets were dirty, the Wi-Fi didn’t work for the TV place was kind of dirty. The only thing that was positive was the man working there gave us sheets until he had to give us brand new sheets. Will not be staying there again.
- 2/5
The property was filthy was like a halfway house people did seem to be nice wouldnt recomend to anyone
- 5/5
Staff always wonderful 😊

I did not stay. I booked for Saturday- Sunday stay. Ended up having to contact my booking insurance for a refund. Dont know how i ended up being booked for Sunday - Monday stay. Hotel was not receptive or cooperative over the mix up on the phone
- 1/5
I had to change my room there was a hole in the door, dirty sheets and floor.
- 2/5
First key did not work. Key replaced but then we could not lock the door from the inside as frame was bent. Had to switch rooms.
- 2/5
The only thing I likrd were the dinning options and stores around.

I Shouldn't have to post the videos of him cursing at me to get national attention over $230 Expedia bots called him. The police couldn't help they said its civil. Expedia is a huge company and thought would treat customers much better than this.

Rooms not cleaned properly
- 1/5
As per previous reviews, the property is extremely dirty. The couch in my room needed to be thrown out. The walls and outlet covers needed a deep clean. The bathroom needed to be hised down from mold and dirt. Will never stay again.
- 5/5
It was quiet and clean
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
Easy check in process
- 3/5
It had a smell to it in the room that was not pleasant. The Libby really needs some work and I wouldn’t eat anything from there at breakfast
- 5/5
Thanks
- 4/5
Very decent for a motel, no roaches thank God. Heat/AC unit works, but extremely dirty and dusty. Some of the pillows gave a scent of urine.. floors could use a sweeping and mopping for sure.
- 4/5
Very good for overnight stay
- 2/5
Forget IT....no breakfast....coffre was terrible
- 1/5
Booked the room late in the evening and 2 rooms were dirty with one of the rooms having a bedbug. Did not stay at this facility
- 5/5
It was a great stop for a quick few hours of sleep during our travel south. Clean and right off I-95
- 1/5
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
- 4/5
You get what you pay for , not bad for the $
- 4/5
Continental breakfast area was clean. Highway traffic noisy at times. Not enough towels provided for the 4 registered guests.
- 1/5
The room and so called lobby/ office were so dirty that without a refund we left. Went across the street to the Hampton Inn
- 3/5
It should be noted some of the chemicals in mothballs can cause reversible health effects that include headaches, nausea, eye and nose irritation and coughing, all of which with the exception of nausea we all experienced.
- 4/5
Overall it was good. The only problem i had was the free continental breakfast was awful. It was muffins from a box, toast and only two kinds of cereal. The milk said it was one day past expiration but thats not all that uncommon. They really didnt try with the breakfast
- 4/5
Shower curtain was dirty and breakfast was crap and not as advertised
- 4/5
The (what I assumed to be) owner was friendly and helpful. Overall a good night's rest on the road.
- 5/5
Great hotel located right off the highway. Would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
It met my expectations for a room. Nothing bad/ wrong and nothing special/great.
- 4/5
Room was clean and accommodations were fine, breakfast was something to desire not many choices.
- 1/5
Upon check-in which was about 1030pm, I was advised that I had a smoking room and that I could up grade to a non smoking room for very little cost. The clerk there made me wait while he fidded on the computer in front of him. After a few minutes I told him that it was late, I was really tired and had to use the rest room, so never mind just give me what I alteady had reservations for. He told me not to go and that for just nine dollars I could upgrade to a non smking room with two beds. I paid him the addional cost and he gave me the room key. After checking out the location of the room I parked my car and went inside to inspect the room. After that I went back to my car for my luggage. My cell phone rang and upon answering it, it was the hotel clerk. He requested additional money from me. He said that the room would cost me more than he anticipated. It is after 11pm at night now. He wanted me to come back into his office and pay the money. I explained to him that what he was asking was wrong, bad business and unsafe. He was raising his voice in anger. He told me he works 24hrs around the clock. He said that he was not the one responsible for the short cash. I told him it was poor business practices to change the price the way he was doing. I complained about the treatment that I was receiving, about the service and that if he continued a bad review would follow. I told him, I would pay the additional money of now $15 during the morning hours when things were safer.
- 5/5
Good nights sleep
- 1/5
The staff is unprofessional. I called the hotel to cancel a reservation and spoke with someone who was very rude and hung up on me multiple times. I was treated like I was bothering them by just calling. When I finally reached a person willing to assist me it was too late to cancel or reschedule. If I had stayed at the hotel, the customer service I received over the phone leads me to suspect my stay wouldn't have been much better.
- 3/5
Dusty and stuffy, but it matches the price. Otherwise okay!
- 1/5
I was disappointed and wouldn’t advise this hotel. It was my mistake to choose this one although I spent only night there.
- 1/5
The lobby was filthy and smelly. The breakfast was a joke. The surrounding was noisy because of traffic, so couldn’t sleep well.
- 4/5
We just stayed for night after driving. Not many bells and whistles but bed was okay, shower was hot, ac worked fine
- 1/5
Terrible service. The place was dirty and I still didn't get my refund.
- 5/5
It was updated and very clean
- 2/5
Sticky floor, giant spider in the bathroom, no hairdryer or coffee maker. Scary place. There was an unpleasant odor as well.
- 4/5
We asked for a non smoking room. We were on the second floor. When we got there there was a family in the room next to us, kids screaming and man hanging over balcony with a cigeratte in his mouth. I spoke and he look at me like "who are you looking at". We went to dinner and came back and didn't see him again. My husband has a sensitive nose and definitely smelled smoke. Overall room was nice, but if you can't deal with smoke, they need a wing just for non smokers. Not really any good restaurants around, you have to drive quite a distance and coffee in the am was like dirty water. Would not stay here again. Sorry.
- 2/5
No wash cloths. Smoke pot outside my door and I’m a non smoker. Every time I left my room all I could smell was smoke. Needs renovating. Very dated
- 4/5
The only complaint we have is that access to the motel is restricted from the other side of the highway due to the concrete median. We had to pass the motel, turn into gas station and enter the highway before turning into the motel parking lot. It was difficult due to heavy traffic and being right at the traffic lights.
- 1/5
I would not have wanted a pet,if I had one, to stay in this hotel. I would avoid this place like a plague.
- 3/5
Easily accessible from highway. If you are looking for breakfast, this is not the place. Wrapper cupcakes and muffins. Little debbies. Thats all.
- 3/5
The “closet” was a part of the bathroom and there was one hanger. The sofa looked old and uncomfortable, so I didn’t sit on it. The air conditioning was fine and there were many tv channels to choose from.
- 3/5
The room was very clean.
- 5/5
Friendly and efficient office. Had to change one room and they did it without question. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit family
- 3/5
It’s cheap. That’s a win and a loss.
- 2/5
There were roaches in the room I was staying in. The bed sheets had cigarette burns on them.
- 1/5
Had two rooms reserved under one name and one itinerary. Canceled through Expedia. Hotel only canceled one room. Charged my card and won’t refund. Said I should have canceled twice.
- 2/5
Staff was very friendly and courteous. The room was clean but even though it was a non smoking it’s obvious people smoked in there and the top cover On the bed had cigaret burns and wasn’t Very clean.
- 2/5
More like a 2 hour stay facility, I think it was my fault because I thought it would be nicer, just didn’t like the room, the pillows were old, the towels were old, didn’t look very clean, to be honest.
- 3/5
Was kinda wierd that the guy who checked me in asked if it was ok if i only got $3 back from my $3.82 change. Through me for a loop. Gave no reason for the shorting. I would have been fine with it if it was for clarity. But i feel like it was to cover a shortage in the drawer.
- 3/5
I didn't like the owner he was very rude n he kept my coins I don't care if it was a penny it was mine. Thinking bout Staying Sumwhere else now.
- 1/5
We arrived at econolodge and had accidentally booked a smoking room. We were willing to put up with the overbearing smoke smell as it was our mistake, but we did not stay more than a half hour. Never in my life have i seen a dirtier hotel. Both the blankets and sheets were covered in stains. There was brown, poop-like substance stuck to the wall. Wheh we closed the door there was some sort of yellow grime all over the wall behind it. I couldnt even bring myself to sit on the bed. It was so poorly lit, i am assuming to hide the horrors of the room itself. When we went to the front and asked for a refund the owner lied to us and said hotels.com could refund us, only when they requested our refund he refused stating that there was nothing wrong with the room. Terrible service all around. Sketchiest most disgusting hotel ive ever seen. I truly do not believe the blankets or sheets are changed regularly. It literally looked and smelled like a nightmare.
- 2/5
I requested a non-smoking room. The first room that I was given reeked of smoke! I went back to get a second room and the girl at the front desk gave me a hard time. I did finally get a second room and it was better. However the bedspread and the blankets had burn marks in them; the tub was disgustingly stained, and I would not even Consider taking a bath in it; The towels were so thin that I might as well have been using paper towels to dry off; the air vent/fan in the bathroom was hanging down from the ceiling. The good thing that I noticed was I had hot water for a shower, and it did not fluctuate from hot to cold as happens in many motels.
- 4/5
Adequate
- 5/5
The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable. The location, so close to the interstate as well as many restaurants and shopping areas, was great.
- 1/5
At first I thought it was " you get what you pay for " but for the same money we got a 8+, or a 9. Would not recommend Comfort Inn in Fredericksburg ! !
- 3/5
Lobby was non-existent... probably 100 degrees at desk for check in at 8 pm. Room was acceptable for the price. I wouldn't advertise what was available at 630 am as any kind of breakfast.
- 5/5
The only 2 negatives I have is that the toilet sometimes wanted to keep running and I had to lift the lid and re-position the flapper and if you were coming up Rt 1 (Away from I-95) you could not make a left into the motel. You have to go up Rt 1 and make a u-turn which requires you to go into a service station. Since there is a traffic light right in front of the motel the traffic backs up to this service station and if it's morning or evening rush hour you have to wait a bit to get out.
- 5/5
It was easy to get to, but quiet. Large old fashioned style room, but updated with all the modern touches.
- 3/5
Why cant hotels get maintenance people that know how to fix things? Popcorn ceiling falling down, shower rod falling down, light fixtures that don't work.
- 4/5
parking was very limited, needs to be stated online, man at desk wasnt very friendly. but black guy outside was awesome polite and helpful and even had desk guy come move his car so i could turn around i must say his help n kindness was best part of staying there .room was fine pretty basic seemed clean enuf had nice smell. if u have a trailer or large vehicle go elsewhere
- 3/5
The breakfast is not nearly what it is at other Econolodges. All they had was cereal, coffee, and tiny muffins but the cereal dispensers were dirty and the coffee was watered down. There were a lot of shady people outside to the point where I didn't feel safe going outside at night. No hot water in shower.
- 2/5
It was like every place else but what made it stuck out to being one of the worse is the location. You could hear every car pass and every alarm go off. It sucked
- 2/5
The property was undergoing renovations and after getting in from the road at 1:30am I was woken up at 7am with hammering and drilling all around my room. I called the front desk and complained but they told me they had no control over when the contractors start working. Well, people only go to Econ Lodge to sleep, so there should be no excuses about not letting them sleep. If you are going to wake people up at 7am, then you need to post that and make it clear when people book. Otherwise shut down the motel during renovations!
- 3/5
Nothing more to add. Property needs upgrading. Ice machine broken
- 3/5
I am traveling bacl home to florida and the booking was north of where i was. The desk clerk said it would automatically cancel
- 4/5
It was okay. The franchise need to expand their breakfast area and update their breakfast menu.
- 4/5
Acceptable for the price. Clean but a little musty.
- 5/5
Checkin was easy. Price and location were great. Plenty of gas stations and food nearby.
- 4/5
The location was a little noisy, the door gasket was in very poor shape
- 4/5
It's okay could use my own coffee pot in the room, overrall good place to stay for short stay
- 3/5
Too much outside noise from other guests and trucks
- 4/5
amaising
- 5/5
It great very clean no bugs clean beds fresh sheets I didn’t have a problem with the staff or anything they was great very kind n sweet I will be back again soon
- 3/5
The continental breakfast wasn't that great and drink machines broken.
- 4/5
Staff was incredibly friendly. Facilities were just fine for my purposes, sleeping and relaxing.
- 1/5
The staff that spoke English was very nice accommodating as much as they could. The carpet was so heavily stained that I had to hide them from sight using the bath towels. The water in the shower was barely warm. Some of the rooms have laminate flooring while others have carpet. I asked for a room with the laminate flooring, which was granted. Breakfast was cereal bagels, muffins, coffee and juice. Never, Never, again
- 3/5
Close to I-95. Close to food and fuel. Unfortunately the morning traffic to DC is horrendous
- 5/5
Staff is always nice. Easy off, easy on to the highway I-95. Just wish they would accept pets.
- 2/5
Needed an upgrade and better cleaning people.
- 5/5
Loved that my room didn’t have carpet. Makes the room feel cleaner. Super soft bed. Only complaint is the rooms could use some better pillows.
