I reserved a suite with a bed and a sofa bed because my fellow traveler and I needed separate beds. After we arrived, the only available room was with one bed. No sofa bed. My companion had to reserve a room in another hotel at the last minute. I called the Hilton Garden Inn a few days later, and I was told that the suite I had reserved was being renovated. If I had known that, I never would have reserved the suite. I did get about $65 back. It's not that I didn't like the hotel; it was clean and quiet. I would have liked to have stayed in the room I reserved.

Great hotel, staff really nice. My 3rd stay here and the team brings us back.

Breakfast was awful and way overpriced. Choice of buffet or menu. Two people=$33 for one buffet and one menu order. Both were terrible. Basically what you’d get at some hotel buffets for free. One of the breakfast staff was arguing with the other not to give me what I ordered (toast plus potatoes). Had to ask several times for basics (butter, knife). Not pleasant. Not helpful. Not cheap. Save your money.

Only issue was when we wanted to check out this AM...no one was at counter and had to wait about 15 minutes before someone came.

Room and property are clean and in a safe area. This is our go-to place to stay in the area when visiting friends.

Stag was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the upgrade to snacks was nice! The only thing that lacked was the water pressure for the shower was average.

Disappointing stay this time. Probably won't book again. Room wasn't clean, bathroom had hairs everywhere. Air-conditioning vent was filled with dust and dirt. Hotel is under a big renovation till next month. The noise was ridiculous. That wasn't listed prior to booking. Breakfast was poor. Coffee wasn't good.

We usually like our stay there. But they had construction going on. We had some minor inconvenience because of their work. But I still like the hotel would go back, Thanks to the manager there he made it better.

I would like to give this property a no star review. We arrived for check in to be told that there was no hot water and they would not have hot water until sometime the next day! They never called us in advance to tell us this. after a 9 hour drive, I was pretty upset. Their consoling statement was, "The Hampton Inn has rooms , go there. Never again will I book this hotel.

Room and staff were fine, but alarms went off in the middle of the night and caused a bit of chaos. Had to get out of bed, evacuate, only to be told it was a false alarm. We ended up not being able to go back to sleep so we left way before check out because of that.

After driving 7 hours & being out around town all day I just wanted to sleep. Directly after checking in I went to the room I was given and Found dog food, potato chips and crumbs all over the floor. Bed bug feces around the outlet and a dead bed bug on the floor and a smashed bed bug on the window sill. The room smelled musty and was outdated. The blankets in the cabinet looked used and unclean & there was a huge blood or vomit stain on the mattress. Wasn’t even there an hour before I checked out. They offered another room and I declined and decided to drive another 7 hours back home rather than taking bed bugs home with me. Getting ahold of anyone at the front desk is nearly impossible, 2 employees have said I was going to get a refund- haven’t seen anything yet. Will never return, thanks for absolutely nothing.

The staff was very courteous; the front desk and the housekeepers were very friendly. The location in terms of access to stores and restaurants was perfect, however the hotel is next to I-95, and the traffic could be heard all hours of the day and night. The upper floors were under construction, and I was informed that construction would start at 9 AM, however on the first morning, there was consistent banging before 9 AM that prevented my husband and I from sleeping in. My package was purchased through Expedia, but there was no mention of construction or the $7 per night for parking. The room was spacious, however the bathroom was dated and could use some upgrading. There was very poor lighting, a weak exhaust system and inadequate hooks on the door so the towels kept falling to the floor. Shower curtains in 2026 seem archaic and the shower curtain on the curved rod was too small causing huge gaps on each side of the curtain. In addition, the towel paper holder was awkwardly positioned so you were forced to twist your body to grab the paper. I have stayed in Hilton Garden Inns in different states, however this is the first time, I am unable to leave a positive review.

I thought the breakfast was complementary and the small French toast platter was $17.50. The menu isn’t very clearly marked on prices nor did the attendant state that there would be a charge for the menu breakfast. Also renovation construction started at 10 AM Sunday morning and you could hear it through the entire hotel as if they are cutting the building in half. Just shut the hotel down for a month and have a bigger company gut it out and do your renovation. People shouldn’t have to pay to hear that crap.

We did not have a great stay. Our room smelled a little hot and moldy. My quilt was stained and smelled like body order. They were quit to get us clean sheets. The breakfast said it started at 6:00 but they were still cooking stuff at that time and eggs were last to be ready maybe around 6:15 or so. I found a dirty bowl. There was no bagel knife to cut the already super stale bagels. The muffins were also not that great. The person who checked us in was very nice and pleasant but everyone else definitely lacked enthusiasm or true customer service. Pool is also small.

Room smelled like trash. We kept searching around for a dirty diaper but couldn’t find anything . fridge wasn’t on so the next day our food wasn’t any good…and no, that’s not why the room smelled like trash. It stunk the whole time, we should have demanded a room switch but I was exhausted and couldn’t handle one more thing

We did not like the breakfast options. It did not look good enough. We ended up going to Panera.
- 4/5
Front desk staff was so welcoming and clearly answered all my questions about charges and hotel amenities. When I booked my stay, breakfast was an available add on @$4.00 which I chose. It turns out that the breakfast buffet is $19.99; It was actually worth about $4 in my opinion. Hot coffee is available all day in the lobby and was the best perk!!
- 4/5
Everything was fine. Although I was a bit taken aback with being charged $5 to allow me to park in the suburban hotel parking lot. It seemed cheap and opportunistic and a bit insulting.

Just so happened I was in a handicapped room, which I didn’t mind. (I am not disabled) The shower, for a disabled person was terrible. The hand held shower wand was screwed on so tight it couldn’t ride up & down on the adjusting bar. The water pressure was poor. I was showering @ 5:30 am, on a Sunday, I don’t believe there was that many other hotel guests up at that hour. The shower needs to be redone. Certainly with the a disabled person in mind.
- 4/5
Service at front desk was profesional. The room was in order. The room intially had an odor possibly from a pet. Turned on the air conditioner and the odor disappeared after an hour. Parking is not free, cost was $5.00. Breakfast is not free.

- 5/5
Staff and room were great!
- 5/5
The menu was limited with the options limited to the basics. However, these basics were good. I would have liked to see more eco-wise choices: for instance, it would be good to have a pitcher for half and half instead of those tiny plastic containers. It also would have been nice to have a dispenser of water present and available to all.
- 3/5
Everything was great from checking in and out staff was absolutely wonderful but the room i stayed in had a HORRIBLE smelled when i walked into and it was coming out of the bathroom it had a very strong smell to point i had to take it quick shower cause it smelled so bad in there smelled like straight nair😷

That checked us in was not pleasant. I gave her an email that showed I had rescheduled to one night. She did t help said I was charged for 2 nights since I was a no show. I finally gave up. We were tired and wanted our room. You need better help To serve your customers!

Paying for a parking spot seems kinda odd when most are free at other hotels around here. The kids running up and down the stairs/hall was just too much noise. Looks to be an older hotel inside. The bathrooms could use some updating.

Deck clerk was very unfriendly. And also told me I would have to pay for parking in there lot. I have stayed here several times and never charged for parking. Desk clerk told me the 5 dollars would be added to my bill. And was very blunt about it. No thank you or haw are are or welcome came out of her mouth . She was very rude an uncaring.
- 3/5
The person at the main desk was not very welcoming at all. I felt as though I was bothering her to check in. Friendliness scale at a 1.
- 3/5
Pleasant checkin. They charged $5.00 to park the car in their own lot, plus breakfast was not included - $19.95 person! We ate at Wegmans Cafe and saved $20! Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Disappointed in the extra fees, when I thought the amount we paid to Expedia included all.

The interior needs a refresh. It is old and tired. I don't understand why there is a $5 parking fee. Outrageous.
- 5/5
I have stayed at this property multiple times and it never disappoints. The staff is always proficient, friendly and helpful. The desk is always staffed with professionals who can help you, even in later or off hours. The hotel is close to the highway, but still quiet and safe, and there is plenty of shopping/dining options nearby.
- 5/5
Room and bed comfortable
- 5/5
I don’t think it is necessary to charge for parking this is the south and there is plenty room for each guest to park. The price of the room was enough and by booking there you should be able to park. Also there should have been a continental breakfast and not &19.99 for all you can eat. Other than that I everything else was great.

Overall, our experience was very good. The Keurig coffee maker was broken and the refrigerator seemed to have a minor problem and the bathroom exhaust fan would get extremely loud after about 3 minutes. These things were not the “end of the world” for us but we thought it important to inform front desk and they still made it right by us. Things do break but it seems that your establishments will always meet us halfway and that’s why we keep coming back. We almost exclusively use your hotels unless there isn’t one where we are. While I regret that I’ve forgotten the front desk man’s name, he was way above par, he exceeded every expectation we may have had. I hope u can determine who it was and do something positive for him, please.
- 1/5
The staff was too busy on their cell phones behind the desk. We were approached while eating in the lobby over an hour before checkout, reminding us that we had to leave our room. It felt rushed and very rude.
- 5/5
Carpet had stains and worn
- 5/5
It was decent
- 2/5
We had 3 bath towels for 2 adults so the 2nd day we needed 1 more towel but, the front desk waived the charge for another towel because we weren't told at check in about servicing the room. Also, parking charge was $5.00 per day. Rip off when other Hilton properties do not do this. Next Visit we shall stay elsewhere.
- 3/5
Charge for parking and breakfast a definite negative. Location near highway, but close to downtown a positive.
- 5/5
Great pet friendly hotel. Very clean and we had a comfortable stay. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- 3/5
The hotel's a little dated. The carpet in our room was ripped. Upon arriving, the air conditioner cover was unattached on the floor. They charge $5 for parking. This is a suburban hotel with plenty of parking - a surplus of spots for all the guests but they still charge you $5. When they checked us in at the front desk they told us they upgraded our room which turned out to be untrue.
- 5/5
Was here for a family emergency at Mary Washington Hospital and the hotel was comfortable and restful.
- 3/5
Overall experience was ordinary. After driving all day we wanted to have dinner and a few cocktails. We were told that there wasn't a bartender so we had to go somewhere else..

The front desk was helpful however, I learned that I had to pay a parking fee for parking in their parking lot and the room was outdated. The floors were dirty. Just it wasn’t a good experience. I would not stay here again.

I wanted to check in about an hour earlier (2pm vs. 3pm). I tried to find a local phone number for the actual front desk for the hotel but even that number routed me to a Reservation Desk. It took about 5 minutes being on hold before an actual human voice came on the line. I told the the person on the line that I wanted to check in an hour earlier. She had to put me on hold 3 times to connect with the actual front desk when she came back to me and said I would be charged $75!!! I responded that the $75 was unacceptable for just an hour earlier. I was put on hold again and finally routed to the hotel front desk. They said they could accommodate me without an extra charge but the room they had assigned to me may not be ready but they would give me another room if it wasn't ready. When I finally arrived and checked in (about 2:25pm vs. 3pm check in), my room was ready. But then they charged me another $5 to park my car overnight. Most people come to a hotel with a car. I feel the Hilton Hotel chain is starting to "nickel and dime" their customers for EVERYTHING. This is making me rethink whether I want to continue using the Hilton chain for future hotel stays. All these extra charges was not pleasant.

Front desk staff was pleasant. Property is well-maintained but somewhat dated. Room was clean and had a separate sitting area which was nice, but the air conditioner was loud (and it was too hot to forego cooling). The bathroom was small and showed its age. Overall, an ok experience for the money.

Staff was friendly. No coffee in evening.

Inside was very modern, clean, and quiet. I loved the swimming pool and fitness area, and the staff was extremely pleasant and professional. The hotel is within one mile of the Central Park shopping district, an all-in-one shopping/dining/entertainment area, the best ever! The Wegmans which closes at 12am was a two-minute drive (you could walk also), very convenient since I had to embark on a 10:30pm snack run. The Hilton is surrounded by other hotels and is tucked back from the main road. My family and I felt very safe and comfortable. I will be planning another trip back to this area and will certainly book the Hilton Garden Inn again.

I had to stay there Saturday night with two rooms that I had requested was not happy my daughter. My granddaughter stayed in one of the rooms that she had to request clean sheets and comforters, and the towels were dirty so I was not happy about the cleanliness of the room. There was spots on the sheets on the towels and hair in between the sheets and the comforter.
- 3/5
Great place to stay and we always stay there when driving down south since it is a halfway point. We stayed here twice in a 10 day period. On the way down we weren't charged the $5 parking fee, on the way home we were. It was confusing because there has NEVER been a $5 fee to park a car. We were given a parking pass to put on our car. In looking at all the other cars in the parking lot no one had one on. When we asked the receptionist she didn't really have much to say. So overall a great place to stay, conveinent and will stay there again, just wish their staff was better trained in answering questions.

This was just okay for one night passing through. We had a room with a dog across from us which did not stop barking for hours. We are a family with small children - we can tolerate some noise but that dog was incessant. Our kids wanted to swim in the pool - which was fine other than large clumps of hair floating around. The rugs in our room were stained and the bathroom fixtures were stained and dated. The pillows were paper thin - needed at least 2 or 3 to sleep comfortably. The front desk representatives were polite enough, just took our info and went about their business. Will be looking for somewhere cleaner, and less noisy next time.

$5 per day to park is very annoying. Adjacent to several hotels with free parking. Fine to stay if someone else is paying.

Given the wrong room. Room I was finally given was filthy. Tape on the walls. Crumbs and food in bathroom. Wasn’t given sheets for pull out couch.

Hotel room was fine, nothing outstanding for the higher price from surrounding hotels. Breakfast was not included, paid $22 for what should have been a nice buffet since it didn’t come with the room. Floors were sticky, I had to ask someone to clean them. Food was terrible, I guess I expected more for having to pay extra for it. The surrounding hotels offer complimentary breakfast so when the eggs are dry, bacon under cooked, bread feels stale, I don’t expect it to be perfect. Hilton should have included breakfast, what they served wasn’t worth any extra money!

Probably won’t stay there again. If you want breakfast at hotel, it costs $19.99. Too many lower cost restaurants in area.

Everything is in very satisfactory condition

Very nice people and clean but a bit dated. Buffet and breakfast were expensive and not particularly better than you would have included in the price at other hotels.

However 5.00 dollar for parking? Then a sign that says we take no responsibility if broken into?

Pillows was flat and only one ice machine in the entire hotel. Breakfast should have been comped

I never stayed in the hotel that I made reservations for the 14th because Expedia put the check in date for the 15th😡

I loved the hotel and staff. I had a problem with my reservation which was fixed upon arriving. The only issue was that the reservation wasn't changed in the system and I was asked to pay for another night. That was frustrating.

Great location, friendly staff, a nice hotel, only complaint was bathroom was a bit dirty with hair and tub and sink.

I was charged twice and they keep repeatedly trying to charge more and don’t know what or how to make it stop. They claimed the second charge was refunded but it was not and has not been returned to my account

I was disappointed to say the least. For $250 a night, I expected a great deal more than what I received. We stayed at Hyatt Regency properties both before and after our stay in Fredericksburg. The Hyatt in the Inner Harbor in Baltimore and the Hyatt at Dulles were both less expensive and the amenities were much better. Something must have driven up the price in Fredericksburg, but it's clear that price gouging is alive and well.

As soon as we arrived, the most lovely young lady welcomed us to the hotel and she had the most beautiful smile. That welcome made us love this hotel. We will be back for sure!

On the road for 15 hours and it was very important to choose a location with a bar restaurant. Website says it has those. No. A little shelf with sparse choices is not a bad in my opinion and the “restaurant was a tiny window to order little variety of food. False advertising and we were very unhappy.
