The property was very clean and the staff was very helpful and accompany.

The property was nice and clean with good breakfast. The parking was a bit full with not many spaces for weekend guests. The front desk was okay, needs some help in customer service especially if one books online-not all staff gave same information in regards to completing their reservation at the desk. She simply did not apply my AAA discount stating that I already received a discount from booking online but when I called the staff said to bring card in for additional discount. Lastly house keeping was knocking on the door at 8:30am when check out is at 11am.

It's in a good location, it's clean, parking is a bit tight. Maids start knocking at 7-730, entirely too early for Sunday morning. Breakfast is good.

Still poor breakfast choices. Apples and oranges are not cereal fruit! Also the breakfast staff were not keeping up with the coffee urns. Found decaf empty or extremely low several times, and when asked about refilling them was told it would take awhile to brew. Knowing how many guests were there during that time - there should always be a brewed pot available.

Convenient to restaurants

The room was clean and orderly. Housekeeping took care of it daily. The security personnel were very friendly. The front desk personnel in the afternoon need greeting training. Just because clients don't necessarily approach the desk doesn't mean you shouldn't acknowledge them when they enter the front door.

I've stayed here before and will do so again. Staff professional and pleasant to deal with. Building and grounds clean and well maintained. Very nice experience

The Comfort Inn Shady Grove was very conveniently located, with restaurants within walking distance, along with access to the Metro bus and also close by the Metro Red line train. The hotel felt very safe, with overnight security. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hot breakfast was one of the best I've had in a moderate priced hotel. There was also free onsite parking in a well lite lot. This is definitely a good place to stay in the DC area, at a very reasonable price.

Requested top floor, and was given a room on 6th floor(out of 7 floors). It was a great room. Quiet, comfortable - no complaints! Staff were friendly...especially housekeeping. Always a 'good morning' was said! Breakfast choice. Everyday it was the same thing! No variety! Folded over egg and grey looking pork patty were the main "hot" breakfast items. The eggs never looked appetizing. I don't eat meat, but my husband does. He didn't care to eat the same meal every morning. Need more choices in egg preparation. And why no bananas??! You offer dry cereal, but no fruit to put on it.

Breakfast was great. The location was really good, close to downtown historic Gaithersburg. The finishes all around seemed a little dated, but the building and rooms are all well kept and clean.

Breakfast is decent, even though scrambled eggs would have been better than the egg patties they serve, which taste like imitation eggs. Also, Turkey or Chicken links would be so much better than what is served. But it’s only food… we are very happy with everything else.

The staff , both and her other colleagues were amazing. Friendly and considerate especially with a winter storm approaching, they made sure coffee was available for everyone and were super welcoming. The place is very clean also which I love.

Clean, good location near Shady Grove Metro, shower handle is hard to move and some fool kept a yapping dog in their car and it never stopped all night, or it was in a room. Sheets were clean and soft, well kept building!

Parking is easy and readily available. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are helpful. Decor is a little outdated.

Staff was spectacular, especially the late night security guy. Very engaging and funny - especially on NYE when I am sure he would have rather been out at a party. Instead, he was kind, courteous and helpful when I asked where I should walk my dog.

We stay in this hotel every time we visit family in MD and we love it!! There is ample parking, staff is very friendly and rooms generally clean. Breakfast is GREAT aside of not having a non-pork option. Please bring turkey sausage!!!

Came for a soccer tournament with my 16 yo son and friends. The property is old, rooms smelled such and could benefit from an upgrade, however the staff is very helpful and Mr. Petland Gilanshah, the manager, was amazing and helpful throughout the process of checking in and out. I would stay again for a short trip.

The room was absolutely spotless! I was very, very appreciative for such. The front desk staff were great during check-in. Very helpful and courteous. However, I would caution housekeeping to be mindful of guest as they go about caring for their various duties. I noticed that the noise level from the staff conversing with each other in the hallways disturbing during the morning. I must admit it kept me from being able to "sleep-in and relax" during my first and only morning during my stay.

Lilly always takes great care of me. It was a little get away for my birthday. This was just the place to spend it.

It was peaceful and relaxing the room was spacious the bed was very comfortable just one thing, the toilet is too low but other than that it was a wonderful stay.

The second one broke on this visit. No inoperative signs were in place except on the ground floor.

Parking lot is a little tight but everything else was great.

Extended it 3 times. So i will have stayed 6 days. I arrived and the Wifi completely down. I told the front desk. Although they are not to blame. It fixed itself for the day. The next day the same thing happened. At times it would drop 1-3 Mbps. Went on the entire trip. Other hotels that come up on this app nearby you will find my reviews. I never mention the internet being an issue The Ramada by Wyndman (formly the Radisson) the The Sleep Inn and The Red Roof Inn have stable Wifi. I don't ever complain in my reviews. I have different complaint about C Inn in my next review. Can't fit it. My favorite Hotel in the area is the The Ramada by Wyndham. Just felt I enjoyed my stays there. The Comfort Inn and The Sleep Inn are owned by Choice Hotels. They have the same breakfast. The Sleep Inn is cheaper and has a pool and better gym (gym is next door in The Ramada). The Sleep Inn also has modern vending machines that can take modern forms of payment. The Comfort Inn has a gift shop that no one is in or is closed. The Sleep Inn is close to a mile away from the Comfort Inn. You can get on the highway easily from both. The Sleep Inn is much quieter. The Comfort Inn is overpriced for the noise and traffic. Pick The Sleep Inn despite the lower ratings. I have stayed in every Hotel in surrounding area for days or weeks at a time in 2018 and 2025. You will find many reviews from both years. I feel the Comfort Inn is just a name like the Holiday Inn. So you pay more.

The first night was terrible because I was in a room next to a group of students. The noise is very bad.

There was a mouse in the room and the front desk was unable to help or move our rooms. 2 nights with a mouse roaming around!

Well maintained property. Lots of kids on field trips were lodgers, but the hotel handled them well. We had no problem getting our breakfast, in spite of lots of kids being there.

Roaches. Checked in, went to our room, opened the door… and saw roaches. Walked right back out and went downstairs to the desk. She tried to find us another room and offered a roll-away; but where there’s 1 roach, there’s 1,000s. We canceled and left, taking our chances at midnight. Yuck.

Next time I am in the area. I plan on staying here again. In past years I stayed at the Hilton in Rockville. The Comfort Inn is a much more satisfying expirence. It has a business center, so I was able to print an important document. The gym equipment works well. When they say soundproof rooms, they mean it is a very relaxing experience. I am more satisfied with this 3-star hotel than I am with the 4-star Hilton in Rockville that I stayed at last time I was here. The 4-star hotel lacked a business center despite having advertised it. The gym was out of order for the entire 3 days at the Hilton. The rooms included less coffee and tea. The Comfort Inn is a more relaxing experience compared to the Hilton, which had noisy weddings going on. The breakfast was nice.

This was probably the best stay at a Comfort Inn I have ever had. The staff was phenomenal. Our room was clean and, for probably the first time ever, there were enough towels in our room! We didn’t have to ask for towels several times and hope they actually came. I really can’t compliment the staff enough; that is definitely a group of people who understand the meaning of service. We were there for a basketball tournament so there were a lot of loud little girls running around. There were also soccer teams and baseball teams there. They also had their fair share of noise but the staff handled them with aplomb. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Pretty clean property

This is the worst. We got an injury on the bathroom due to extreme slippery tiles. They did not have matt or caution notice. We will definitely make them charged

Our stay was just fine. When we first walked into the room it did have a slight “dog” smell…but it is a pet friendly hotel and one of the reason why I originally choose it. Unfortunately our dog passed before she had a chance to come with us. Other than then that room was clean. The television had plenty of channels for us to relax and unwind to. What I found pretty wonderful was they had a decent size fridge for our leftovers from our outings and drinks in the evening. They even had a small microwave oven in the room. The bathroom door was bit squeaky which was kinda inconvenient when you are trying to take a wiz in the middle of the night and have other occupants in the room with you. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. But other than that our stay was fantastic. I would recommend it to other family and friends for sure. The price was exceptional too!!

The room was different than advertised. Looked much dingier. It was clean but just looked different than Advertised. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was decent. Only stayed a night so didnt experience much else.

We were looking for a pet-friendly hotel, close to interstate routes so we could spend the night following a Christmas gathering, and hit the road early in the morning. Accommodations were great. Continental breakfast was perfect. This is the 2nd year we've stayed at this Comfort inn. We'll do it again next year

Hotel was conveniently located but the oppressive smell of marijuana on the fourth floor was awful. Basketball team staying on that floor was a bit loud (even knocked on my door “by mistake” at 11:00 pm). Definitely not a non-smoking property and I feel terrible for anyone having to clean those rooms on the 4th floor.

Housekeeping staff is great, but you do have to ask for later service if you will not be out of your room by 11am so if want to relax not best for that. We checked out today Monday at about 930 and the front desk person was not friendly, but he was not mean just very disinterested and not wanting to answer questions.

Front desk lady who works in the morning was wonderful. Allowed me to have two cups of juice and 3 donuts after missing breakfast. Even offered to hit the elevator button for me when hands were full. Beds were comfortable as well and had enough sheets. Would definitely stay again!

Hands down the absolute best Comfort Inn I have ever stayed at. It begins with the most amazing customer service from Lilli at the front desk and continues with a fresh clean room, great amenities and a REAL plant in the bathroom. Very nice. Our trip exceeded our expectations! We were looking for a place to spend the night after a Gala in Bethesda. What attracted us to the hotel was the price given the distance from Bethesda and the fact that it had free self parking. We arrived there at around 11pm and we were not too sure what to expect given that we have been to hotels of the same brand name which were not too impressive. Right from the reception to the next day breakfast, everything went very well. We would have given it a 5 star rating if we had found a location to have drinks close by. The comfort, cleanliness, linen and breakfast are all value for money. Staff were also very friendly. Would definitely stay there again!
