My room was full of cockroaches. Wasn’t surprising considering that the room did not seem well-maintained and clean at first sight.. couldn’t even spend the night and had to check out a couple hours after check in.

The room was a good size for a single traveler, and none of the rooms were hard to access. It was a good location. The hotel is located within walking distance of several restaurants and is very close to the metro station. Staff was also very responsive when an issue arose. My room was rather dirty- there were dark marks on the wall next to the far bed, and one of the comforters had a small tear. The hotel only provided shampoo and face soap, no travel conditioner. The remote for the TV did not work. The biggest issue was that the electronic lock did not work on my door, however maintenance responded promptly when I brought it to the staff's attention.

If this is the place that you stay if you have no other choice and you need to take a nap, but i would t recommend more then 24 hours at this place, bathrooms is broken . And ugly and some of the rooms will give you an ironing board with no iron.

Shops and restaurants were nearly.

Drainage in sinks was slow. Didn't give the best vibes.

Thank you for everything!

The outside air was cold the heat was on and working well
- 2/5
Not very clean. Food crumbs in furniture, floor and carpet dirty, especially under the bed. Slept with the lights on just in case. Staff at the desk was very nice and polite. Pictures on Expedia site make it look nicer than it truly is.

My deposit of 53 dollars never send me back to my accounts.
- 4/5
In the first room I receive a room with heating system was not working. And in the second room I was in there remotes are not programmed. So you have to come back to the front desk to check out. You cannot check out on the Tv
- 3/5
Room is old — furniture, lighting, plumbing, amenities, etc. Everything works. Price is very reasonable.

Light switches above beds and lamp were filthy, trash under the beds. My door froze twice, they had to come out and heat it with a heat gun....seriously in Maryland your door latches freeze...never have I had that happen. Other guest loud at night, and can hear everything outside. Not the greatest, especially for ugrading to your "best room" and patch up the old holes when you replace your shower curtain...

It was all good

"water pipe broke". No manager on duty (10:15 am)Had to go to gym to shower, use bathroom and get dressed. Emailed manager next day with notice of damages for negligence and breach of contract.Manager calls and, with hostile, angry voice, she starts call with lame excuses then dismisses my request for refund. No apology until I told her she should have called to apologize, with no lame excuses. Because of her unprofessionalism, I terminate the call. No refund. I contacted RRI on website same day. No response. That was over 10 days ago, Want refund for my last night.
- 1/5
I need to call, because never got a call back from the management. I reported the next day because my room didn't work which is a safety issue and I was very tired after driving The day before 12 hours and have another 4 and 1/2 hour drive home to the Pocono mountains in PA. The TV guy didn't work and the remote I had to just keep hitting the arrow to get channels, because it didn't show on the channel guide? I couldn't call the front desk because the phone didn't work and when I called the number on Google, got the reservation number and they couldn't help me. I made a complaint to the front desk, but she said the manager would have to call me the next day. I never got a call. It's annoying that I can't even get a hold of anyone at hotels.com to get my refund. There was a cricket in my room and it almost jumped in my face and I didn't know it was a cricket, thought it was a roach. Also, when I tried to scan the room service for food, it didn't work. I was woken up at 6:00 a.m. by some woman yelling for another woman and then they were standing outside of my room when I left. I went to a football game and needed some rest after driving the day before 12 hrs.

Thumbs down for ne. Clean and comfortable. In a handicap room and it smelled like no one had entered for quite a while. Lights above the bed didn't work. Room had no trash cans! Wasn't impressed with the Front Ddesk staff. Really disappointed.
- 5/5
We had a great stay! The room was clean. The beds were comfortable! Outside stairs need renovation. Some of them were chipped. Area beautiful. Lots of green!Location was good! Could reach Everything easily! Thank you. Veronika
- 4/5
I've stayed here several times. Very reliable budget property. No frills, but the room is clean, everything is in good operating order, the water is hot, and the beds are good. As with many motels, park right outside the door to your room. Property is set back from Shady Grove Road, so traffic noise is not a problem. Several restaurants within a 5-minute drive, 7-11 within walking distance.

I want a full refund will definitely not recomend this hotel to anyone

I came here after one year again, bringing family form Europe, to visit DC. Ratio of the price (7 people, two rooms, 8 nights) to quality was (last year) and still is great. The rooms are clean, in our experience area was safe (we had 2 seniors and 3 kids with us). Nice staff. I hope l would have a chance in future to stay again in Red Roof Inn PLUS+...
- 1/5
There are roaches in the room. Woke up at 5am to see them crawling all over the bathroom floor. This made us pickup and leave ASAP. Made sure we didn’t have big stowaways. Drug dealers in the back parking lot. Drug buyers drive by at night and day. The parking area is not well maintained and garbage all over the back parking area. The TV remote did not work - called to have it replaced but the maintenance person never did come.
- 2/5
Room was dirty and smelly, found a crack pipe in one of the drawers

It was a good stay but my door was difficult to open. They promised to send some one to work on it but no one came.

My family and I are technically with our a home at moment and we have been looking tireless for a place to call home but wherever we go there’s income guidelines. Anyway since we been here staff here have been extremely nice and the housekeeper Ms Carmen has been amazingly helpful supportive and love pets for us that’s an A plus. Anyway we are super happy here at Red Roof Hotel. Thx

A very good training
- 4/5
Second, it was odd that the morning desk attendant couldn't printout a copy of my paid bill.

Inexpensive place to stay. Old and tired but clean sheets and an average place to lay your head for a night or two.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 3/5
Was surprised by the $53.00 deposit required at check in
- 2/5
Housekeeping was only Monday and Thursday and they didn’t come on Monday. Other guests would smoke outside and you can always hear them at night.
- 3/5
The staff was nice but the complex and the rooms are not nearly as nice as the pictures implied
- 4/5
Newly updated Red Roof Plus. Close to plenty amenities. Overall, great stay.
- 2/5
We've stayed in Red Roof+ locations in the past, and this is the least "plus" location. Our first room had a hairdryer cord that was cut and a power strip that wasn't functional. The second room just had a hairdryer that didn't work and the power strip was intermittent/shorting. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but the property itself is just run-down.
- 1/5
The room was so old and dirty
- 2/5
Smokers in no smoke area
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Very basic no breakfast, broken vending machines. Across from 7-11 seem to rely on it over food service. Found and returned valuable item. Grateful.
- 3/5
It was ok I didn’t know there would be no room cleaning but they had a tip envelope inside.
- 1/5
On the 3rd night we had to change our room because the toilet was over flowing. The night before we had told staff about this problem and they told us they were gonna send maintenance down early in the morning and they never showed up. We went to complain for the second time and they finally sent maintenance down just to tell us that we had to move our room. Apart from that it was very loud and night and it smelled like cigarettes.
- 3/5
We checked in at 5pm. The representative at the desk, Alan, was rude and not welcoming! I then received a phone call at 3:11am, waking me from my sleep, asking if I were going to arrive. I explained that I was already there and sleep. In the morning I discovered that Alan had not checked me in properly and completely. I was very upset and frustrated. I will NEVER stay at this location again when visiting Maryland!!!!!
- 2/5
The phone didn’t work so I couldn’t call the front desk. I tried to Google the number, but I didn’t have phone service. I connected to the Wi-Fi and only worked in one section of the room. Once my Wi-Fi did work it gave me an 800 number to call. I waited on hold for 20 minutes. And my phone disconnected because I had bad service. And the phone in the room again did not work. The bathtub had hair in it. A couple was fighting in the middle of the night and a dog started barking. I couldn’t call the front desk to get somebody to stop it because again the phone did not work. I was recovering from surgery so I couldn’t walk to the front. And I certainly didn’t want to walk out there regardless when there was a fight breaking out. The drink vending machine stole my money too.
- 4/5
There was too much noise in the courtyard the night I was there. I also could smell smoke, perhaps coming from the next room or right outside, which was disturbing. Otherwise, I appreciated the clean room and working bathroom.
- 3/5
The bedding didn't seem particularly luxurious and there was no snack package. I chose the room for the king bed and though we didn't get our perks, I thought the price was fair for the area. People hanging around the parking lot made the area feel unsafe though.

- 5/5
The front desk staff was very friendly. Made check in very easy.
- 1/5
Filthy. No fridge, no microwave.
- 4/5
Booking receptionist at the front desk to checkin and out, was extremely lrude and impatient and unaware of speaking to him over the phone before for early check-in!! Upon arrival 2nd door to open up lobby and front was locked and had to call over 3-5 time's for him to buzz me in!! Spike talking to me over the phone twice before arrival he still made me wait two and a half hours to check in early and also overcharged me for early check-in and security deposit or roughly giving me a room that did not have no heat and told me that all of the years was broken and that it would be pointless to trust for or get a new room although I chose to still get another room he may speak in a room that was already occupied and he was totally unaware of the who was already occupied so I had to walk back a third time to get a new key to a third room finally suddenly in around 9:30 a.m. after arriving at 4:45am
- 5/5
Awesome customer service.
- 1/5
When I arrived at Red Roof Inn Plus 9 PM, there was NO ONE at the front desk to assign me a room. There were several guests in the lobby that had been waiting for 1.5 hours For some one to check them in, but no 1 was there. Some people had left.I was told and other people in the lobby were on the phone with customer service with whatever booking agency they used trying to get their money back. I didn't want to go to another hotel like others had chosen to do because I would've had to spend an extra $150.Since the door to the front desk area was unlocked, I went back there, found a few phone number and called around until I finally reached some one. This lady was some regional manager and was able to contact the hotel manager. The hotel manager must have called the employee who came out of the dark back room half asleep. When we saw him come out, We were all like WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! We've all been waiting out here forevwr making all kinds of noise. How did you not hear us this whole entire time? And he kind of shrugged off a sleepy shrug and said I'm sorry. The young man did assign me to my room. But I felt so bad for the guests that had booked rooms, couldnt get in, and went to another hotel and had to pay an additional money because this disrespectful unmotivated, and undisciplined employee chose to sleep on the job. Also, my room wasnt very clean. I chose not to take a shower due to the dirty mold around the caulking of the tub.

- 5/5
Thank you
- 1/5
There were also people smoking right outside near our door and we could smell the smoke.
- 1/5
Disrespectful people came and opened the door to my room, gave my card so that other people could enter, breaking the rules of privacy and customer service, poor attention, everything very slow, everything bad
- 2/5
Good customer service.
- 4/5
Cheap but nice property. Walking distance to seven eleven and small restaurants. Good for the price
- 5/5
No problems
- 1/5
I am really struggling to understand why the site Hotels.com is charging my credit card $110.00 and the hotel also charged me for my one night stay their rate ?? why am I being charged twice??
- 1/5
People were noisy outside in courtyard all night. Smoking in rooms was happening and seeping into my room. Checked out after first night of 2 night stay. Requesting a refund.
- 5/5
Run down, not the best area but clean and staff is friendly
- 1/5
It was a horrible experience. I paid for upgraded linens--did not happen. I paid for snacks which were not in the room; i had to go to the office for them. The walls are thin. It is an unsafe area and questionable clientele. The outside light flickered like in a really bad horror movie. Drunk woman at 2:41 am woke me yelling at the top of her lungs for 30 minutes. At 5 am same woman opened her door to loudly ans vigorously vomit for 15 minutes. Clearly no security. The bathroom shelf was not secured and my cosmetics and face cream fell to the floor. The Wifi was out which i was not told until message on office door on day of arrival. The top dollar room i paid for looked zero like the photos. I have at least 5 more visits to Rockville for my new job. I will not be spending it at the Bates Motel ... err ... the Red Roof Inn!
- 5/5
very Very quiet and convenient with the stores and restaurants around it not a bad place to stay
- 4/5
It is a good property close to some things but my room did not have a microwave. But other than that everything was fine.

- 3/5
Lots families staying or living there So pretty loud and dirty, butts everywhere, etc
- 4/5
Giod stay
- 1/5
Weird people were just setting in middle and a guy was laying under his truck fixing his truck.
- 4/5
The hotel is 100% non-smoking but in the morning there was a horrible smoking smell in the bathroom, probably coming from the ventilation from one of the other rooms, so make sure they don’t charge you extra, thinking it was you who smoked.
- 1/5
I checked out after 2 hours because I found a bed bug.
- 5/5
No cross ventilation in the rooms.
- 5/5
Awesome Customer Service
- 5/5
Customer service is good.
- 2/5
Not so good, not a lot of attention to detail and rooms were not fresly cleaned.

Customer service.
- 1/5
had to wait for 20 mins there was no one at the front desk to help the customers. When they came back there were 3 staff and all of them went for a break together. I mean this is too much with a small kid at night had to wait for 20 mins for nothing. Also the room quality is not good there were dear roaches and bad smell
- 4/5
I was pleasantly surprised by Red Roof +. Although the motel is a little rough around the edges, we enjoyed our stay. Our first room didn't have working a/c, but within 5 minutes of contacting the front desk we were in a new room with cold a/c. Clean, simple room for a great price. If you're looking for a comfortable bargain, this place is for you.
- 5/5
Check In was easy. I had chosen an upgraded room. It was large, clean, and comfortable. Had a bathtub, a desk and chair and extra pillows for the bed. I liked having extra space, as well as a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The room was near the front of the building but was quiet and safe. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Basic accommodations but definitely worth it and would stay again next visit to Rockville.
- 5/5
Adequate
- 3/5
The room is ok. But it has very strong marijuana smell which is disgusting.
- 3/5
Room had heavy smell and the front deck provided air freshener that helped a bit. Also the table lamp had both light bulbs missing. We complained to the front desk but nothing was done. Other than that the stay was ok
- 2/5
When checking in the agent spoke to someone else out of my sight about my arrival and her snappy reply was, she would have needed a reservation, for which the agent told her I did. This was obviously an inconvenience for them. I didn't mind people living there under subsidies, the kids were cute but not the drunks. The room was very clean! I even had a man help me with a bag so not every adult was drunk. I needed WIFI however. Also I was placed in far back, room had no phone, no nothing. It did have the TV and an iron to be fair. Not going back. The agent checking me out was pleasant. As a single traveler this time I did not appreciate have an adjoining room either and I know when booking I didn't want one.
- 5/5
Customer Service.
- 1/5
Property was misrepresented on Expedia, false pictures and untrue statements.
- 1/5
That was the most terrible experience. The room smelled like marijuana. The first day there were maintenance people hanging out in the room claiming they were fixing something. The tub and the sink were clogged didn’t drain. You couldn’t lock the door. People were noisy, smoking and drinking right outside the door. The worst hotel/ motel ever. I should have listened to my friend who said don’t go there.
- 3/5
Wifi spotty at best
- 1/5
Don’t know where to start but the main concern and inconvenience we had and complaint about was there were homeless people sleeping right outside our . And when talking to the front desk about it , there response was “ there’s nothing we can do “ NEVER AGAIN WOULD WE STAY AT ANY OF YOUR HOTELS
- 1/5
Roaches, nasty and homeless people trying to get into rooms
- 5/5

- 5/5

- 2/5
Despite good reviews this hotel very unsuitable for visitor tourists. Long way from Metro difficult to find along busy highways.
