The location was perfect. It was right on the beach and walking distance to entertainment. The outside of the motel was trashy and loud music was played all night from other guests.

When I walked in the room i was surprised it was very clean. No bad smell. That was my main concern. The SPOT restaurant was across the street for some good eats. The deadbolt didn't work, just the door knob. The location was okay kind of scary. The rooms were from the outside. There was no blow dryer. thank god, I brought my own just in case. No coffee maker in the room, 1/2 roll of toilet paper only, 2 towels and 2 wash clothes. If this room was for 4 people not enough toiletries. There was a lady with her kids in one of the rooms and she kept yelling so loud I was scared for my sister and I.

The manager was a very nice guy and helped us on a last minute room after another motel gave our room away without notice. Yes I will be back here on night before our cruises. Thank you

For the price I paid NOTHING Way overpriced overall a bad experience beds are on 4x4 frames advertised free wifi but no password 4 walls and a roof is all this place had to offer will not stay here again

My Tv never worked

Well honestly this is my first time staying here and the only thing that was a little bit uncomfortable was the brief drama that occurred and hearing it all the way inside of my room from outside I tried to tell everybody what's the point of acting like kids and trying to calm everybody down and put everybody to go back in their room but I never will put myself in situations or problems that have nothing to do with me but other than that very satisfying that's why I would love to book the room for another night tonight please and thank you Mr Moe ? .... No pool or spa no beach mood

The hotel was being completely gutted. You guys booked me into it. I have not seen any refund yet.

Location Dirty & a/c was not working. we requested another room as we had a dog & didn’t feel comfortable leaving at the temperature while a/c kicked in & owner was dismissing. It took 5 hours for the room to drop only 15 degrees, but it still felt like 100 with no circulation. We lost a day of our vacation, money & had to book at another location b/c we couldn’t stay day. Room was not clean, Sheets were dirty, no towels, & roaches.

i would not evenpull in the parking lot. was matresses out of the rooms leaning against rails curtains held together with clothespins. no one would answer the phone

It was a simple motel across from the beach, worth it for the location but the amenities are average at best

Perfect location to walk across the street to the beach. We had an easy walk to the forth of July parade also. Only one key given. Bring your own towels and wash rags!

NOTHING minus close to the beach Everything, my husband foot went through the floor, my husband is disabled, told them we needed a lower level room a month in advance, they put us on the second floor. Couldn't even step on the floor without shoes it was so dirty. 1 towel and wash cloth I could go on and on how very bad it was.

Location. The beds were not clean. The tiles in the bathroom are lifting. There was fleas in the beds. The floors are not clean and haven’t been cleaned in quite a while. There was clumps of hair on the bathroom floor.

The hotel had bed bugs and some sort of worms on the mattress protector. The room was rundown and had roaches.

If you replace the bathroom screen and the machine is both air-conditioned, there will be less noise.

The property was so clean that i worried that taking a shower might be unsanitary.

The owner of this property showed extremely poor customer service. The walls were filthy, the beds felt like cardboard.... there were some questionable people staying there and poking their heads out of the doors. this is absolutely not a place to stay for families.

Location was good. Office not marked, had to hunt for it. Manager seemed put out by our presence. Bath tub had rust in bottom and around fixtures.

The motel is very old and smelly, very old and laud AC, old window and overall below any USA living conditions standards

Hotel was not fit to stay. We checked out before 10pm.

Staff was friendly. No tv and no discount.Poor quality towels. Smelled musty. Extremely unclean throughout; visible smudges along the doors, walls, handles. We could see an inch of daylight under our door. The shower had poor flow and the curtain was visibly dirty along the bottom edge.The noise from the above room our first night was terrible and the second night all the noise outside made for very poor rest. It is a great location for sure but definitely not worth the price due to overall condition.

The room was basically unkept, blankets/sheets were moldy, bathroom shower leaked, no outlets available, no working TV, Many fixtures were broken, the wooden floor was rotting. This looked more like something from about 70 years ago, and had not been properly maintained. Not even worth $20.00 a night in current condition

Not well maintained. I pile of old toilets outside our window, filthy shower curtain, junk everywhere outside. 10 visible trash cans in parking lot. Overall a dump.

Room was never cleaned over 3 days. Dresser drawer had drugs left by a previous renter. Towels and amenities very poor. Curtains did nothing to block out the glaring LED lights in the parking lot. Very low water pressure and the hot water was barely warm. At least the location was great, and AC worked.

We enjoyed walking to beach and restaurants we did drive to Salsa restaurant and at the entrance they had free maps of Galveston. Map helps us tour a little bit more and we are coming back we super enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

No frills motel but much less expensive than the others. I enjoyed it.

Worst hotel in Galveston. While I don’t expect anything for this price to be perfect, it was the awful and will never stay here again. There are much better hotels in the same price range but tried this one out with low expectations.

Easy beach access, walking distance to great little bars and restaurants, Pleasure Pier within sight at night, great staff. Not high class, but a great spot to wash the sand off, take a quick nap in the afternoon before heading back out. Beds are SUPER comfy! Parking is very limited and tight, but once you're parked you can pretty much walk nearly anywhere u need to be.

Very run down. Tiny little towels. Owner stated at the beginning that it won't do you any good to preview the room because you are already charged! But excellent location. Cheap owner. Could be nice if you would spend some money! No towel bars. Broken soap dish. You know-over the course of 80 years some things break and have to be replaced!

Check in was simple and very friendly. Room was very clean and neat. Nice cold AC. Water pressure was great and temp was amazing! Nice and homey feel. Outside may not have looked very fancy, but it was well kept and honestly I'm not staying outside the room 😉. Perfect walking distance to the sea wall, attractions and restaurants. Only thing would be is I drove past it at first because their sign was low on their fence and a side street parked car was blocking it. I would definitely recommend this place and stay again when in the area.

This place was not worth $194 for the night. The bed linens were dirty and spotted as well as the comforter. I had To have them come change them out. The base of the bedroom door had a inch gap between the door & the floor so anything could have crawled in or of the room. The bathtub was horrible as well it look I had to take a shower with my slider on because of horrible it was. To be charged $194 and non-refundable to sleep in an place that’s less than a 1 star establishment is ridiculous just because it sits a half a block off the Galveston Sea Wall. Theses room should be no more than $30 a night if that.

I'm not sure if all the rooms were like this, but the carpet was really gross and stayed wet, smelled like human añd or animal urine so I had to stay with my flip flops on and sprayed the carpet down with a mist sanitizer, it still stunk of mold and urine, the door had a safety lock chain on it so that made me feel better, but the door had clear cracks between the door and the frame where the sunlight came in the room with the door closed and locked still. The bathroom was nice, the size fridge was nice, but I didn't feel all that safe here nor welcomed. I paid for two nights but the overwhelming smell of urine and mold gave me a headache, so I just up and left after the first day, couldn't take walking on CONSISTENTLY WET OLD DISGUSTING CARPET beneath my bare feet in a motel room and the urine mold smell coming from the wet carpet was also giving me a headache. It's a shame because the location seemed great. I really wish I could leave a better review but I'm being honest. I would NOT Recommend.

I was very disappointed in the facility. Starting from the mismatch tiles in bathroom to horrible smelly carpet to door that wouldn’t close correctly. I’m sorry. Overall this place shouldn’t be open. Our trash can was an empty can of laundry soap. When Was the last time this place was inspected? We were scared the hurricane would take down the very poor ceiling.

The door uses a key and the lock was so messed up we couldn’t get into the door the staff had to come open the door for us which made them very annoyed as well as us. Great area across the street from a great restaurant and the beach just ran down and bathroom had serious damage.

It was not even close to the hotel that was in picture or even close to a 230$ a night place. The door wasn’t sealed the carpet was dirty. Saw 2 roaches. Hotel sucks

We were there last minute everything was sold out and we payed almost $400 my husband didn't want to drive back home so we got it! The room was really small/ the sink toilet n shower were small! The shower was clogged! The A/C was at 68 and it was hot, we took cold showers to cool down! We had to share rooms with couple of roaches as well!

Change the beds., sheets and covers .had a good experience.

The service was very nice, this motel is just an older motel. But for the location and price it was worth it! Walking distance to the beach and plenty of restaurants.

The location was perfect. One block away from the sea wall, and walking distance to pleasure pier. The facilities are outdated and in need of repair. The owner is working towards improvements.

A quick one night stay so we could party on The Strand for VDay and MGras. I knew the hotel was a bit rough from the previews. And it was rough indeed. Once we pulled into pkg lot we noticed a painter working on building. And an old lady was sitting on a chair outside her room. The building was worn. The front office was practically a closet. Check in was fine but the clerk gave me the TV remote and showed me how to operate it. I've never been to a hotel that did that... Anyway, my GF was not comfy with the room, she smelled something, but I was OK with it and most of the room. They provided a floor heater. The bathroom was tiny. We did not use the TV. We spent little time in the room only to sleep. We checked out 1030am.

Not conducive to sleeping: plastic blinds let in floodlighting from car park, air conditioning very noisy.

We were looking for an inexpensive last minute stay and decided to book here. You defintely get what you pay for as far as quality of room. Rooms and property are super run down. Beds are horrible, no wifi, or in room phone. If you don't like noise, do not stay here as the popular bar on the corner will go on all night. I would totally pay a little more for a decent stay else where.

The air conditoners dont work. The rooms are filthy. The doors are nearly impossible to lock. Avoid this place like the plague.

I took a gamble and got what I paid for. Definitely an older property and poorly maintained. The door to the bathroom looked like something had been scratching to get out and the handle had been crushed with vice grips or something, probably in an attempt to get out as well. I had to leave the tv on all night so the light would keep the cockroaches at bay.... literally. I could see them in the dark corners of the room and when the tv got bright they would run off. I can't blame the owners, the price was cheap and I got what I paid for.

The hotel is right across the street from the beach and very close walking distance to a lot of food and attractions. But the property is in terrible shape. The room had a foul odor, the AC had caked on dust, the bed was uncomfortable. Would not stay there again.

If your intending to spend much time in the rooms though, or if you need reliable wifi or regular room service, this place will not satisfy.

the property was close to the beach as stated but the door to room had to be jimmied to close and only latched with dead bolt.the floors looked very wor the bathroom was musty on first inspection. no lams or alarm clocks were present in room.the wifi was down for all of the stay tried to watch the satellite tv but it stated it was down as well. the shower drain was clogged this gave me the pleasure of standing in ankle deep water when showering .the soap dish were busted off the wall.the bed sagg caused me and the wife to roll into the center gully..wife didn't feel safe so she barricaded the door for the night.

The convenience of this location is ideal. The carpets are worn, the bed cover was old, and the furnishings were well used. The mini fridge was a nice thing to have. And the beach is just a block away. Overall it was a safe and adequate stay. I was looking for convenience. If you want 4 star pampering stay elsewhere. If you just want affordable, practical, and safe this motel will do just fine.

Bugs in bed. Horrible bed. Hotwater kept going on and off. Towels lack there of. No really shampoo and conditioner. Room was just dirty all around.

Ice machine outside works. Fridge works well. Microwave works well. Nice management. Excellent price for holiday weekend. Excellent location. Free, safe parking. Get a second floor to sit out and watch the Gulf.

The bathroom had a strong bleach smell, and the pillow cases had roaches the bathroom door looked like someone had beat the mess out of it. Needless to say I will not ever stay there again it has been one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in.

There were no towels or soap in the room... i had to go ask the front desk for them which they brought immediately. The room ac unit was small which barely kept the room cool (and its only May... July, August & September will be terribly hot). There was a small refrigerator which had bugs crawling out of it... and the door to the room was not sealed... so you could see daylight and bugs coming underneath it. The staff was very friendly, the room was not worth the $100 +tax !!!!

They lost my ID, blamed it on me, checked camera and found that they had it, and tried to toss it to the second floor to me. That was just at check in. Our room did not have toweks, when we went to get them thet acted like we were just stealing their other towels. But I guess thats what you get when you only pay $112 a night. 🤔

Not expecting much from a very cheap motel. But wifi… Please… It's so basic! It wasn't working at all. This is the main reason why my rating is low. Also the carpet in my bedroom was quite disgusting. But bed was comfortable, linens and washroom were clean.

It's a no tell motel. Cigarette burns in the comforter, ac/heat was a window unit and a space heater. you got 2 towels only, no hand towels or wash clothes. Gap under the door, friend saw a roach on the wall during the night. Located behind The Spot, very noisy, then construction next door started at 7 am saturday morning. Spend the extra a money for a decent room.

Truck was broken into. The owner had cameras looking right at the truck but never got back to me with an update. Never staying there again.

This Was the nastiest most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed at in my whole life And on top of that we paid $228 to stay there and we only did that because there was nothing else available and we waited last minute. This place should be condemned.

Very nice motel right across from the beach! Half the price of surrounding places! Family who manages it was nice, quiet and very polite! I stayed 4 nights and loved it!

Room was In horrible condition. Have several pics. Room very unsecure. Used chair to secure door. AC had issues so had to stay on 68 to run. Shower area needs lots of work. Would not use. Bedspread had greasy black spots on it. TV was useless. Way over priced for what you get. Used towel to cover gap on entry door at bottom. Could go on but just not enough time. I wasn't looking for 5 star but it's not worth 1.

The room was very clean and recently renovated. The exterior was not in great shape due to the ocean salt I think. Parking was easy the lot was small. The location was one of the best things.

the only thing i liked about the motel was it was close to the beach. i didn't like that it was small and it didn't have a kitchen area or the tv did not work. it wasn't worth the amount i paid for.

Clean tile floors and clean sheets, looks like they had remodeled the inside recently. Good value for the money, very close to the Pleasure Pier and right across the street from the seawall. We would book it again!

Staff is nice but you really only interact with them during check in/out. The property is really run down. The doors barely closed and locked. The bathroom looked like a crack den. The door handle was somehow melted, the shower tile was coming out, the toilet seat was coming off, the door looked like someone took an axe to it multiple times. We only got 2 towels the entire time. There is no room service. You will need to clean, bring towels and do everything yourself. The bedspread was questionable so we thankfully used our own blankets and pillows. We pretty much expected this given the price, but just be prepared for the low-rent look and feel. We could hear people pounding on the floor above us all night. People hung out on the front steps at all hours of the night, which can be creepy when you have kids. It was across the street from a loud club that has bands playing until the very early hours of the morning. The beach is across the street which is literally the only thing this place has going for it. Just pretend as if you are booking a camping space in the woods and bring everything you think you’d need to sleep, shower, eat and have fun. Because the TV barely worked and the WiFi was so spotty it was virtually useless.

There is a huge difference between quaint & old. I lived in Louisiana 30 years and stayed in many quaint spots, this was was not that at all. I still had to pay $150, but forfeited the room for a wonderful stay at Four Points (a Sheridan Hotel) only 2 minutes away. Nice, clean & safe. I ended up adding 2 extra nights because of the positive experience.

OK, so this isn't the place you want to go if you want crazy amenities. But here's the deal, the rooms are decent (albeit outdated), there is free parking, and you're literally across the street from the beach. If you're in Galveston, you shouldn't really be spending much time in your room anyway. The prices are amazing, there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance, and it's DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE BEACH. Like, how do you beat that?!

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. It is walking distance to good restaurants, the pleasure pier, and the beach. Other than that, this motel is awful.

I felt like I'd traveled to the third world. Tiny bugs crawled out of the tv remote. The curtains did not cover the windows, the a/c was too small and an old window unit, the shower curtain was dragging the last 12" on the less than sterile bathroom floor. An additional $50 charge appeared at my bank in addition to the 159 room charge which was $20 more than was advertised. I've had better lodging for less in galveston year round without all night parties which i could only hear because there was no peephole on the front dooror window. And i would have loved to had a full pillow..

The room was hot and the air conditioning wasn't great. The carpet was very dirty and torn. There was a gaping hole under the door letting in hot air. The TV was too small.

Book this one and thought this close to the beach so i thought it should be nice. But room look like a storage not for human to stay

If you consider yourself in the middle class economically and are not broke and just can't afford a higher price hotel then pass. If your wife needs to feel like she is taken care of then pass. If you are not a traveling college student in a foreign country with no money than pass. To be sure you are near the sandy beach and the Spot but there are no cross walks or signal lights to cross the blvd for a long way. This is a confession that I stayed here and oh my life is too short to waste one night of my three day weekend at a this dive. So for the good of humanity spend a little more and get a place at least as nice as the car you are driving.

re-rent them out to someone else and sucker them in so they continue to just keep making more money off of unknowing people who trusted the description of the property that was given in the hotel information.

Booked for 2 days, guaranteed us parking, haha didn't happen. Didn't clean room or even replace towels and staff was very rude!

When I pulled back the blanket to go to bed I found cigarette burns in the sheets, down the to mattress, proving the sheets had not been changed since the last guest.... Then I pulled the blanket back further and found foot prints from shoes (NOT MINE) and red candy. When I went down to tell the front desk the woman began to YELL at me, kid you not. So I called Expedia and she yelled at Expeida! While I was on hold with Expeida, her husband asked me if I had checked out (I was sitting in my car with the door open having this conversation), I said no and told him there was an issue with my bed and the woman at the front. He then began yelling at me calling me a free loading, saying I wanted a free ride... I hadn't even asked for anything, I had just let them know there was an issue with the bedding! I told him to go in and look at the bed to see, and to see that my shoes do NOT match the foot prints, he went in and came out yelling at me accusing me of smoking in there and lying to him. I told him he could search my car and my bags, I have nothing to smoke, and he came down the stairs (yes he was yelling from the balcony) and was so aggressive I shut my car doors... I locked my car doors at the customer service reps' suggestion and Expedia listened to the whole thing! At one point both he and she were YELLING in both my front windows at the same time! My bank is stopping the payment and Expedia gave me a voucher for the trouble Expedia should NOT be selling their rooms!

Holes in the ceiling and walls. Rusted metal fixtures in the shower. Window blinds that fall down when trying to adjust them.
