Clean room, staff nice and kitchen works

Room clean beach view means from half mile away with houses and condos in the way you can see a few feet of ocean
- 5/5
Nice and friendly people
- 5/5
Stay was very good staff was very accommodating. Never did they hesitate to help. Will definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect besides a loud ceiling fan.
- 3/5
My Family of 5 stayed in a studio. Loved the space of the room as well as my kids. Only a few issues noticed when we arrived. Wet carpet under the ac unit was noticed immediately, wet socks gave that away. The room had two queen mattresses one was perfect, the second had a noticeable slump in the middle which made my back not so happy. Lastly, upon arrival my kids ran to the bathroom and quickly made me aware of the mysterious brown stain in the tub, so they refused to use the tub. I did bring it up to the front desk who were aware the stain as it happens regularly. They did send someone to clean the stain, but I hope they address the issue with a permanent solution.
- 5/5
Everyone was super nice went above and beyond to accommodate people and giving a list of different places we can eat around that town!
- 4.5/5
The breakfast was good, the location was very good. Great view of the ocean, easy access to all the attractions in Galvestion and the restaurants and the beach! The only complaint we had was the couch was a little broken down you sank all the way down and you could feet the springs!

- 3.5/5
Cleanliness, comfort and great location That I didn’t know I had to pay 20$ for parking when I arrived
- 3/5
We like the hot breakfast but not the room. The switch wasn’t useful between the ceiling fan and the bathroom needs to be separately and the outside post lamp so bright throughout my window room, we can’t sleep even the curtains are unable to block the lights or close. Our stay were 50% disappointed
- 5/5
The breakfast was yummy and the stuff kept it stocked.
- 5/5
The cleaning of the rooms needs more attention to detail, especially the carpets and bathrooms.
- 3/5
Late night staff was super nice and very helpful. The morning staff acted like we were a bother..
- 5/5
Spacious rooms, great free breakfast, great location (even though I was thinking seaside was on the beach but you have to walk across a busy road and about 5 minutes to the actual water), super friendly staff, the room fit everything we could have wished. Check in was a bit long but it was due to a lack of staff that day to clean rooms and get guests into their room. Front desk was great to help us out here though.
- 4/5
It's on the quiet end of the seawall which was very nice. We would stay there again.
- 5/5
Rooms are very spacious, breakfast is wonderful and all the staff is so friendly and helpful!
- 4/5
Breakfast was really good, Location was very nice. Was not happy about paying for parking at this location. We travel a lot in Texas and the charge for parking in this location was a shock.
- 5/5
Everything was great!!
- 4/5
The front desk lady Cecily made this stay. She went over and beyond to provide exceptional service. Definitely would visit again. Great overrall ! The breakfast was good but the food lacked versatility and was very limited. I didn’t get to enjoy much breakfast on my trip due to heartburn caused from the breakfast served. Need more family friendly options.
- 1/5
Booked a suite with king bed and was put in a double queen, tried working with staff but was told it wasn’t their fault, we would have to get with Expedia. Parking at hotel was 15.00 a night at the hotels own parking lot. This information was not disclosed by Expedia in booking.
- 5/5
The breakfast was great. Very clean in all areas of the hotel. The staff was awesome ! Will stay there again.
- 4/5
Shower has lots of mold in the room we had.
- 5/5
Joe did an exceptional job
- 5/5
Clean and great breakfast It was all good
- 3/5
The handicap shower is not safe. The water spilled onto floor making it unsafe to stand up or walk. Shower curtain is too short to do any good with the water from shower.
- 5/5
And when I checked in Joe was very nice very helpful and very courteous . All the staff were very nice smiled and would say good morning or good afternoon. Good evening. Ask if we had everything we needed
- 2/5
The room was spacious and clean. We have a special needs Daughter that liked her area. We woke up in the middle of the night, smelling burnt wire or something. The amazing front desk lady came to our room and said that she smelled it as well. She let us know. There was no maintenance on staff that we could check it out.. We did not feel safe, staying in a hotel where it might catch on fire. And there was no staff on duty that could check on it. Not even a staff member on call. My special niece’s daughter and my sister and I had to find another hotel at 1 o’clock in the morning. The staff member on duty, tried her best, but her hands were tied with the policies of the hotel….. not having anyone that can check to see where the burnt wire smell is coming from. It’s not acceptable not to have someone on duty or either a contract with a company to come check in emergencies. That is bad business.
- 5/5
Great wide ve
- 5/5
Very clean, smelled great! Spacious rooms on the quiet end of town. It was listed as beachfront. We had to cross a 4 lane highway and a large public access parking lot to get to the beach. In reality it is about a 15 min walk even though you can see the ocean.
- 5/5
Room was nice and large. Location was not the greatest and too easy to get into.
- 2/5
So... I wanted to book the Best Western Plus next door, but my wife said she stayed at this place two years ago and it was great. By her own account, this time it was a mistake. It is a dirty, not well kept location. Breakfast was ok, but not as good as other Homewood suites. Same breakfast two days in a row, fake eggs (or tasted like fake eggs). We asked 3 times to get our shampoo refilled, never happened. We showered with body wash! Walls in the room were filthy. There was one positive... The fresh cookies according to my son were excellent!
- 5/5
Everything was clean, quiet and nice.
- 4.5/5
The ceiling fan in our room was a bit squeaky. I had to turn it off in the middle of the night because it was keeping me awake. But it was not a big deal.
- 2/5
Location. Comfortable beds Small roaches mainly in kitchen but all in room, Hidden parking fee that wasn't listed upon booking, $15 per day
- 2.5/5
The location was nice a the staff is very sweet The seem to have dust mites on the couches one person in our group is severely allergic to dust mites and woke up after taking a nap on the couch with a swollen face we ended up not stay out 2nd night but couldn’t get a refund
- 5/5
The front desk staff was exceptional! The room had everything we needed. The hot breakfast was more varied than all of the other hotel breakfast buffets. We highly recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
Nice and clean During breakfast there was a hispanic lady cleaning the serving area and she was in a bad mood.
- 5/5
Clean room and very attentive staff.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful it was very clean The beds were hard not enough amenities in the room breakfast was not all that appealing want hot eggs were cold

Room was perfect!
- 5/5
Wonderful stay. Nice room. I love the amenities of Homewood Suites.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
The ocean wasn’t visible from our room, but that may have been because of the circus tent set up across the street. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious.
- 4/5
It was a very nice place to stay except, you have to pay 15.00 a day to park on top of the higher price of the hotel. I don't understand why! When I said my truck wasn't here last night it was at the hospital, it didn't matter if there was a reservation you had to pay, it was on the website. Well I had to book in a hurry because my sister had a stroke and seizure on a cruise ship and I had to hurry to get here from Fort Worth. I didn't have time to read the fine print.
- 3/5
The only concern was the suite did not have curtains or blinds to cover the windows. The suite was ground floor and outside the windows was the pool/sport court that has a bright light shining in and people walking by. Otherwise the stay was great.
- 2/5
The sofa bed was filthy....old food, hair, yellow stains, and there was only 1 towel for 5 people. The staff seemed as if it was their first day on the job. They were clueless.
- 5/5
Nice room. Friendly helpful staff, especially Joe on the front desk.
- 2/5
Walls were thin, A/C wouldn't keep the room cool, shower leaked

- 5/5
Great place to stay. Clea, great location and breakfast.
- 5/5
Great staff, breakfast and room
- 5/5
I booked four rooms for myself and out of town guests and they all raved over the hotel and the rooms. This was their first time to stay here, my third. The rooms are very attractive, spacious, clean, comfortable and have everything you need for a one night or longer stay. The breakfast was very good with a variety of healthy and delicious options. Joe was especially helpful and friendly during our check-in process and when answering questions over the phone prior to our stay. I will definitely stay here again the next time I go to Galveston.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Lovely staff. Mgr reception was a nice touch and we were informed on check in.
- 5/5
Yes great experience and would stay again
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff, and nice amenities.
- 5/5
Brittany at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. Great hotel for a precuise stay with kids!
- 5/5
They had a little dinner buffet. Very nice as we were too tired to go back out to eat somewhere. Very nice!!
- 4/5
Everything was just fine. No complaints
- 4/5
Room was super clean! Breakfast was plentiful!
- 5/5
Chedk-in was easy, front desk clerk was very nice and the room is great besides some mold on the shower curtain.
- 5/5
It was clean and good breakfast. Wished rooms were cleaned daily.
- 5/5

- 4/5
Clean and spacious room
- 5/5
Staff was courteous and polite. Room was clean. Staff tried to be helpful with the In-room safe. Figured it out. Breakfast was hot and good and a great variety. That was a BIG PLUS!!
- 5/5
Everyone was great
- 4/5
I always try to book at a Homewood Suites when traveling. It's my favorite hotel. BUT I am DISAPPOINTED that I am now being charged for Parking. In the past, since it was self-parking, there was no charge, and now it's $15.00 a night and it's still self-parking. So sad. I may have to search and find a hotel that doesn't charge parking for my future trips.
- 5/5
Very roomy room-love the set up, great staff, breakfast had a good spread. Staff walked me out to my car to leave at barely sun up. Easy parking.
- 5/5
The property was easy to find and the location was excellent. Surrounded by all kinds of eateries.
- 5/5
I like the cleansing, I like the decoration, the staff was professional and very kind, the breakfast buffet was A plus, fresh and delicious, their servers were exellent, frendly and very kind. Love Sandra, Sanjuana and Alex, they make me feel very special ❤️
- 3/5
Staff did not try to check us in even though rooms were ready
- 3/5
What I like or what I would say was unique about the property was the famous breakfast tacos were usable by me. What I didn’t like was the hourly wage for the Employee challenges and I also saw an employee get assaulted and it’s hard to explain how the employee got assaulted but I’m just familiar with it. I seen it. I called it out.
- 5/5
It was our 49th anniversary. The two girls at the front desk decorated our door and gave us goodies. They went overboard and they were so thoughtful.
- 5/5
We didn’t have Pets on this Trip but, yes they cater to all Fur Baby’s needs they offer an entire Counter to Pets Treats and other Accessories for you pets !
- 5/5
Room was clean staff was friendly and pool was clean and wonderful 10/10 experience
- 1/5
The room was not clean, there was toothpaste still in the restroom sink, feces still on the toilet, hair in the shower, some type of stain in the curtain that resembled blood.
- 5/5
The front desk lady’s are super kind!
- 3/5
Not very happy with cleanliness. Carpets looked dirty. Walls and wallpaper need a big updating. I definitely didn't wanna walk around barefooted. The couch in the bedroom was dirty. Mattresses on the beds were uncomfortable. Sheets were clean, but I overall felt dirty staying there. The only positive thing was the breakfast. There was a pillowcase in the middle of the hallway when we checked in and it was still there when we checked out.
- 5/5
Easy check in
- 5/5
Both front desk members went out of their way to ensure an easy check-in process.
- 4/5
Nice view of the pubic beach access and ocean. Close to dining and shopping. Roomy suite to spread out.
- 5/5
Good atmosphere
- 5/5
I booked this hotel by mistake. But the staff went out of their way to change the reservation from one week to just one night. AND even made sure my usual hotel had rooms available before making the changes. Absolutely lovely people and lovely hotel with the most amazing breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had at a hotel buffet. Will definitely consider staying here the next time in this city.
- 5/5
We went for my daughter's burthday a d staff nade it extra sowcial by giving her a card decorating out door and just going above and beyond

The only thing is the paying to park.
- 5/5
Staff went above and beyond, you felt like family.
- 5/5
Will be back
- 4/5
Comfy and quite
- 2/5
Fault of workers involved in cleaning, shower door not washed for sure because when it got steamy in the bathroom you could see writing on the shower door from previous customer, walls of the shower had leftover hear and soap holder totally not cleaned from previous customer. Makes you wonder about things you can't see. I really expected a clean place taking in consideration that the room coster over 400$ per night unfortunately. I'm hoping management can do something about it. Place looked fairly new and clean other places.
- 5/5
I recently stayed at the Homewood Suites and was genuinely impressed by the outstanding service from the hotel staff. From check-in to check-out, everyone was professional, warm, and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Special thanks to the housekeeping and front desk teams—your kindness and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. The room was spotless, the amenities were great, and the atmosphere felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for great hospitality and a pleasant stay. I’ll definitely be back!
- 5/5
We had a great stay at homewood suites the room was clean and nice and the a/c worked great very cold. Breakfast was good it hit the spot. Galveston was alot of fun our family had a blast on the beach and everything on seawall blvd. We almost stayed an extra day. The staff was very attentive and courteous.
- 2/5
The ceiling in the lobby areas was cut open due to some water issues I believe. The area around the hotel was abandoned and not exactly safe feeling.
- 3/5
Jo and Brittany were very helpful. Appreciated their service. Wish i had known about Hilton Honors app. Was told at checkout that it would have been much less cheaper. I thought Expedia would be cheaper. There was a fire alarm and we had to evacuate the first night. Transformer blew out. So we missed our pizza order cause we werent in the hotel. There should have been a room credit .
- 5/5
We had a great time - amazing staff and comfortable room for my family of 5 - we found our place to always stay in Galveston. We will be coming back
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Didn’t like that you have to pay $20 for parking over night. Corta hotel we’ve stayed at that has a parking fee for regular uncovered parking.
- 5/5
Every one was super friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean, up to date and in a great location. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Overall, the property was good. The only issue I had was having to pay for parking when I had already purchased the room for the night. Why should a paid client pay an additional $20.00 to park?
- 1/5
Not worth the amount of money, unprofessional staff, blaming Expedia for not clear information regarding the parking fees and asked me to go park somewhere else
- 1/5
Room cleaning was not done My entire stay in this hotel should be returned
- 5/5
Available
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay! We got a room that was a studio; it had a kitchen and lots of extra room. They are pet friendly which was very very important! It was great and the price was incredible. The property was very nice, clean, breakfast was wonderful and the staff were so nice and kind. I will definitely be there again!
- 2/5
I want to be fair here so I'll start with good. The property is clean and well kept up. It is a good location within walking distance to the beach. The breakfast was good and the staff was fine. The pool was good, particularly for young kids. The biggest issue was the room service. We understood that it was by request and comes every other day. I requested room service for our room at 1pm the day prior. We were staying with a family of 5, including an infant so room service was absolutely necessary. It was 4pm the next day and room service still hadn't come. I asked why and they said room service doesn't usually come until 5 which I found extremely strange. Mind you that we had left the whole day to plan around room service coming. Because we had no towels, we asked them to deliver some to us since our kids were showering and we had none. They never did. We then left the hotel since room service was supposed to come at 5. We came back at 730 and room service still had not come. We needed to ask again, and room service finally came at 8pm. I saw others getting room service at 9pm, very strange. We had this fiasco with room service where are beds were changed once the entire week because they would come and just give us towels and not change the beds despite us telling them our baby had spit up on them and had an accident. They apologized and told us at the front desk that the manager would call us and make it right and they never did which was extremely disappointing.
- 4/5
The room and location are perfect. I wish I could stay longer. Charging for self parking in an average, hotel parking lot with plenty of spaces seems like a silly way to charge more money; just increase your room rate by $20/night and let the market decide if you're worth it. Also, the check-in line today was ridiculous. It wrapped around the lobby for at least 2 hours. I saw it at 4:30 today, and decided to walk on the beach for 45 minutes, hoping it would have dissipated by the time I returned. Nope.
- 4/5
Great location near a quieter area of the beach. Staff was very helpful and friendly!
- 5/5
The stay was awesome, and we had a great time. The room was clean, but the walls were a bit dirty. Other than that,t the room was great, we had plenty of space being a family of four. I loved the kitchen area and the desk/ table.
- 5/5
It was last minute and everything was great My only recommendation is to bring your own pillows
- 4/5
Pleasant surprise. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you
- 2/5
Initial check in person was very short with answering questions and providing information that was needed. There was a pee stain on the pull out couch bed cover. When that was reported the staff member that helped was wonderful and quickly got us all fixed up and even got us extra linens for the night.
- 5/5
Wasn't expecting to pay to park.
- 3/5
The property was clean and close to the beach. Theyafe is all wait to check in until 4 so we waited in line a half hour to get checked in. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbor.
- 5/5
It was a very nice hotel. Super clean & friendly staff. Will stay here again most definitely! 😀
- 5/5
Good hotel
- 4/5
We had a good stay, but a thing or two stood out to us: the lack of friendliness of the front desk staff (except for one nice young lady who comped our parking as a courtesy due to the rudeness of another staff member). If you are in the industry of hospitality you should be, well, hospitable. Also, the rooms were clean and the facilities were accomodating. They were very pet friendly and we enjoyed the on-site basketball. The cleaning staff were a little aloof, putting back our high chair when we had not left our table. Proximity to the beach was nice but we ended up driving to the west end. Not sure if it was worth the $520 for two nights. Have stayed farther inland for less money and they were historical B&B’s. But overall we had a relaxing and comfortable stay.
- 5/5
Best free hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Suite was comfortable and the free water at check in was appreciated!
- 4/5
We were really comfortable during our stay. Great location!
- 5/5
Very nice, clean room. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
- 5/5
Easy check in
- 5/5
Across from a nice beach just a short walk.

Our family loved it. The facilities are clean and accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. A great selection for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Thank you! I originally had to wait 1 hr to get my room because it wasn’t ready. I had booked it the same day. But they were extremely Helpful. After going to the room any bad feeling changed to positive. The rooms have everything as if you were in your apartment, it was clean, it smelt good and clean (when you leave your room you smell fresh). Me daughter and I loved the hotel including the breakfast. We wis

My hubby and I just stayed for 3 nights with our golden doodle and labradane. The suite was PERFECT and very clean! The staff was so kind to our large boys! Even have treats in the lobby for them. Two outdoor walking areas as well. The breakfast was among the best you will see with a large selection. The bed was very comfortable! The hotel is close to everything including Menard off-leash dog park. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again!

The property is close to the boardwalk and the ocean view from the 5th floor is amazung
- 5/5
Staff friendly
- 5/5
Easy walk to beach

When we booked online there wasn't anywhere that parking was going to be 15.00 per vehicle. There are no notifications upfront on your website.
- 5/5
All around great experience. Thank you team.
- 4/5
Room was very nice. Would like shuttle runs to the airport
- 5/5
It was a nice quiet stay before our cruise
- 4/5
We had a nice one night stay. I would stay here again. But guests should not have to pay for parking. There is not a security guard patrolling the parking lot.
- 5/5
While resting and a do not disturb on the door the staff felt it necessary to wake us up to mess with a TV we weren’t even using.
- 1/5
Safe
- 5/5
One of the standout features was the incredibly large suites. The spaciousness provided a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, making it feel like a home away from home. Every corner of the suite was meticulously maintained, showcasing the hotel's commitment to excellence. I wholeheartedly rate Homewood Suites a perfect 10/10. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a clean, modern, and spacious place to stay. It truly exceeded my expectations in every way.
- 2/5
Hotel claimed every other day service, but failed to deliver it. And after promising to provide the service...delayed it...then cancelled it all together. Also, 'On Duty Manager' was not even available until after the weekend.
- 3/5
There was no advance notice of $15 parking. You can stay at hotel but not park unless you pay or be towed. No manager available. The ceiling fan was so loud couldn’t use. The refrigerator was loud could not sleep. Microwave kept popping the breaker and wouldn’t work so I couldn’t warm up my food. I asked for a manager when checking out but she hadn’t arrived, running late.
- 5/5
Basically everything about this hotel was great. The only drawback was having to pay $15 each night to park.
- 2/5
We did not have a good experience here. The room at first glance was nice. But after turning back the covers there was blood stains on them. We also discovered there was no bedding for the pullout sofa. I went to the front desk to ask for a change of linen and bedding and was told that someone would be up to help. No one came after an hour. So I called the front desk and was told the same thing. We also asked for towels and still no one came. I ended up sleep under just a sheet and we stripped the bed with the bloody sheets. All of the kids and my sister slept in one bed an and I took the sofa. I went down and asked for more towels to take a shower and was handed 2 towels. Our stay was not a pleasant one.
- 3/5
The room above room was very noisy.
- 5/5
Nice staff and clean room!
- 3/5
Property was ok. Sat in lounge till room was ready. No bedding for sofa bed. Had to call and go down twice.
- 5/5
We were pleasantly surprised to see how close to the water the property is - can't recommend enough! Can't wait to go back to Galveston to see the city and go on the ghost tour :)
- 5/5
Good place
- 4/5
Great experience
- 4/5
Overall this is a great hotel, there are just a few things that bothered me. The walls seemed dirty or maybe just need a paint job but they had some type of residue on a couple of them. Overall the kitchen, bedroom, shower and bathroom seemed clean. It was also nice being so vlose to UTMB, i just wish they knew a little about how to get around to the hospital we needed. I would stay at this hotel again.
- 4/5
Hotel was nice and clean, however, I was not told until check in that you have to pay an additional cost to park your car at the hotel overnight. Also, had to wait longer than 10mins to check in and check out the next day. Whoever was working up front was not available.
- 5/5
Nice rooms
- 5/5
15 dollars parking is not acceptable, the parking is hotel’s property. It is not good for guests .
- 5/5
Nice Staff, very clean
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable - great place.
- 5/5
We were visiting from FTW for the weekend and check in was good. Staff was very courteous and the room was very clean and quiet. Close to the beach and restaurants.
- 5/5
It was a wonderful stay! Thank you!

Nice property near the port and reasonably priced.

I have stayed in many hotels I traveled for a living. This is the worst one I’ve ever stayed in. None of the staff ever smiled. Nobody asked to help me, and I am now handicap. They would rush into the elevator quickly not give me a chance to get out first never asked if they can do anything to assist me when I checked out didn’t ask how to stay was would not recommend this hotel ever. Took us two days to figure out that the bathroom light switch was by the front door. We use the bathroom in the dark for two days. Looks like there would’ve been a sign or something for that.
