New Gardena Hotel

This hotel is an older hotel but man they keep it impeccably clean. Very happy with our stay.

Only downside to the place is that the pool was closed. Even still we would stay again in a heartbeat

They provide Japanese style breakfast and it is very good.

This hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was just ok, but got us started for the day.

Parking was free and in a garage. There was also a staff member on Patrol when we arrived after 9 pm. The staff was great. The room was very clean. Breakfast was part of a small restaurant connected to the hotel. Not what I was expecting but it was very good! This was a safe and clean place for our family with young kids. My only negative commit is that for the price it is an older hotel that could use some updating in the rooms. It felt a little bare-bones (no Iron, coffee pot or 2 ply TP) But the beds were comfortable (pillows were awesome), the room was clean and we felt safe! I would stay again and pay extra for those three things!

Good amenities -laundry machines, fitness room, free secure parking and FREE breakfast.

The parking is VERY safe, the staff are Amazingly Hospitable and helpful and everything is within walking distance.

The hotel is tucked in a decent neighborhood but you do need to look closely for the right driveway to pull into. The room was quiet and comfortable. Maybe a little dated and didn't scream sanitation but it was clean enough to feel comfortable. Would we stay here again if in the area? Yes. Much better options than anything else we passed by. Good for our one night stay after a late concert at the Forum.

The room was clean, neatly appointed, had added counter to groom away from the sink, and it was a pleasant surprise to have strong water pressure in the shower. Complimentary Japanese or American breakfast was simple but a satisfying way to start the day.

Big surprise at how nice the place was. Each staff member we encountered was beyond cordial and helpful. Enjoyed the American breakfast (didn't try the Japanese, but it looked interesting, too) and the readily available coffee in the lobby. Lots of dining options in a very walkable distance was also a nice plus. We'd stay here again whenever we're in the L.A. area.

Rated 4 star for Property condition & facilities because there were no hand sanitizer or disinfecting wipes at the gym.

The room was comfortable and included a bidet which we usually miss when away from home. We also enjoyed the breakfast options that were offered and enjoyed all of them. We will return if we are in the area again.

The bed was really comfortable and I like the area because you can also go to the Japanese super market and other dinning places as well.

Breakfast was fantastic. Hotel was clean, 1 elevator was down but it wasn't an inconvenience. Staff is friendly and helpful, definitely would return.

While a bit on the older side, this was a pretty nice hotel for the price, convenient to shopping and dining and freeway access. However, it did have some issues, like one elevator was out, and on some floors the UP button didn’t work and other floor is the DOWN button didn’t work, and of course, the nearest ice machine was one floor up or down from us. We enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast and free parking.

The restaurant is especially good with tasty authentic Japanese cuisine, friend service, and good hours. The room was clean and fully stacked and they even had a cot for an extra visitor who stayed the last night.

Amazing hotel,I love it

There is no pool, which was a disappointment for my granddaughter, but otherwise, good complimentary breakfast and gym.

The food at their restaurant, Happa, was so delicious and enticing in appearance that we ate there for most of our meals. Fearing danger due to agitators who had stormed into downtown LA allegedly as protesters, I asked the hotel management for advise in choosing a safe route back to San Francisco at the end of our visit to Gardena. They researched the situation and were able to suggest a route that allowed for me to avoid the downtown area of LA, which was not too far away, unfortunately. I felt much safer upon receiving advice from management. I will always choose to stay at New Gardena Hotel whenever I come to visit LA. They are superb in many ways.

The room size is large and generous, room is clean and quiet. The staff is very friend and efficient. The complementary breakfast is not buffet, but has choice of American or Japanese, both are very good. We are very satisfied with New Gardena Hotel, will come back again.

The reception staff were very helpful. Free breakfast was great, the staff at the restaurant were very helpful too. Overall a very nice stay as usual. This was our 4th stay.

I liked how convenient the location was. Surrounded by the hotel were great restaurants and shopping centers not too far away. The staff was also amazing.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. We appreciated the amenities (restursnt on site, breakfast, gated garage, clean room with refrigerator) and the kind staff.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The complimentary breakfast was a wonderful touch. The vending machines were well-stocked, and the front desk offered convenient essentials like toothpaste and a variety of instant noodles. The location is also fantastic, with a shopping center just across the street.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My daughter and I were traveling. I wanted a safe hotel in an area I was familiar with. The staff here are very nice. The parking lot was always attended. The room was clean. It was everything I wanted. The New Gardena Hotel is a great place to stay.

Friendly staff & delicious breakfast! Reasonable room charge compare with other hotels.

Upon my arrival, I was surprised to be asked for my credit card at the front desk, despite having paid for my room online through Expedia. The hotel representative informed me that they would be placing a hold for additional funds for insurance purposes. This additional charge was not disclosed in the Expedia listing, which I found to be quite disappointing. Transparency is key when it comes to booking accommodations, and I believe it’s imperative that hotels clearly communicate any additional fees to guests in advance. Furthermore, I noticed that the hotel seemed to fall short in providing basic amenities. The toiletry services were limited, particularly in terms of towels and washcloths. I found myself having to request these items rather than having them readily available in the room. The situation was compounded by the absence of an iron and ironing board, which I also had to request and then go to the front desk to retrieve. As a paying guest, it felt quite distasteful to have to leave my room for such basic accommodations. It’s these small details that can make a stay truly comfortable, and I was left feeling inconvenienced by the lack of attention to these essentials.

I stayed here because my house was under fumigation. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Of all others, the complimentary breakfast was nice. You have an option between Japanese or American breakfast; I had both of them Japanese breakfast, and it was quite satisfying.

Overall, our stay wasn’t bad. The room was very basic and the ac was a little outdated and loud at times. It didn’t bother us though, we both slept pretty well. Check in and out was pretty quick and simple

Excellent place! It exceeded our expectations

This hotel is very well maintained. The rooms, hallways and entrance are always kept clean. The staff are welcoming and available for your needs. The location is in a prime spot right across from a shopping center with plenty of dining options. The only minor complaint is the slow-moving entry gate you must wait for every time you enter and leave the property. But, it's not a deal breaker.

Good free Japanese breakfast

An excellent option to stay, we stayed 4 nights, very attentive, Nick is special, he always attended to us with a very good attitude, the breakfasts were very delicious, especially the Japanese one that the children loved.

Nice area, nice hotel

There was a bit of a hiccup with check in; however they were very compensating without me even saying a word and offered a nice upgrade. Room AC is strong but a little dated and loud. Otherwise very pleasant experience.

I would go again

Very nice hotel. Modern, clean and quiet. 12min Uber drive to SoFi and LAX. 1pm check in time was earlier than all other hotels I researched in the area. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Good customer service and clean

I only removed a few stars because the location feels very much like a hotel on a busy road, with a lot of car lots around it. BUT the staff was VERY friendly, the place was clean. Beds comfortable. Rooms spacious. There are a few good eating options around, but it's definitely a place to stay if you NEED to be in the area (like we had to be). But we would recommend it, and would stay here again.

Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Room did feel a little humid, warm and had a weird smell to it. Takes a bit for the AC to work. I like how the parking lot was gated. For as much as the room cost it was okay. Would stay here again if need be.

Japanese breakfast option was good.

Stayed in a suite. Very affordable and spacious. While the building is a bit dated, the staff and size of the rooms more than made up for it. The Japanes breakfast was a nice change over everyday cereal and bagels.

Was very pleased with the hotel. Second time staying here. Very clean and spacious room n bathroom . The only thing is no elevator in parking lot so you need to carry your luggage up or down the stairs to lobby. Good breakfast. Will stay here again. 10 mins from relatives home

The staff was outstanding. The hotel room was spacious and clean. Breakfast had two options; American or Japanese. I chose American and it was two eggs, toast or muffin, one sausage and one bacon, and potatoes. It worked well for me, but if you are a big eater, it may not be enough.

The staff was very kind, It's a very basic needs hotel and great for if you are in and out. I had a rental car and the free parking was a huge weight off my shoulders. The gym was not 24 hours.

The front desk staff, breakfast staff, and housekeeping were wonderful. The restaurant next door was very good. We will stay there again when we are on the area!

The gym was sufficient. Japanese breakfast was good. Room was clean. Heated toilet seats were awesome!

Everything is neat and clean. Only complaint is the Toto bidet’s setting shoots out a very tiny stream of water and is just not as comfortable for cleansing.

Appreciated the secured parking garage. Check in was quick and easy. Room neat and clean, heater worked great on a rainy night. Enjoyed the restaurant right outside the front door. Everything just how I needed it - would definitely stay here again!

Safe and secure location. The room was very clean, nice firm mattress. Bathroom was very clean as well. Front desk was professional and friendly. Whenever I’m in Los Angeles area this is where we will be sleeping. We had to leave early so didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast.

Hotel staff was friendly and very polite. Room is perfectly clean and neat. Toilet is equipped with Toto washlet bidet seat and wrapped with sanitation complete wrap to prove cleaniness.

First for there you walk through a cloud of smoke gross, due to smoking area right before the main entrance. Then get my room the tv is stuck on a channel they had to change the sensor out, which they were fast. The ac is programmed at 78 and I love I freezing cold when I sleep. The mini fridge I had to unplug making a squealing noise. The exhaust fan or vent in the bathroom you can not turn off and is super loud. Didn’t sleep well at all. The staff were very nice and friendly no manager needed n duty to talk to. Breakfast if you want the Japanese breakfast you get a menu if you choose American you get bread scrambled eggs 1 piece bacon 1 piece sausage, and a small spoon of fruit. I know it’s catered towards Japanese’s culture but would of been nice to choose my eggs or get a beagle or something

This hotel was conveniently located. We had a choice of either the American or Japanese Breakfast, which were delicious. But, I did not care for the natto (fermented soy beans). I would appreciate if management could get back to me with the name of the beds we slept on. They were soooo comfy!!!!

First time there. Hotel was very clean and staff was excellent. On the downside the bathroom counter top should have been higher. Electrical outlets were old. Overall, excellent. Would stay there again.

Do not let them put you in room 407. They gave us room 407, when we got inside the room it was sooooo hot. I checked the AC made sure its on cool, mind you this was the older AC version. Waited 30mins to check if the room would cool down, and it didnt. Went downstairs to let the front know. First the lady was like we dont have any more rooms, and maintenance left but will be back tomorrow morning. I told the front desk lady that no way am I going back to that room when it felt like a sauna, it was cooler in the hallways and lobby than in the room. So she ended up goving us a different room but then had the audacity to tell me that we would have to move back to room 407 tomorrow am because that room is already booked for a different guest. i told her no way am Ingoing back to that room, I dont have time to pack and unpack especially when we have a kpop concert to go to which is basically a whole day/night event. She called a different worker, talked for bit and finally said ok you dont have to go back to room 407 and just stay in the new room.
