    There were cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen. There were little beetles that flew into our drink glasses. The very small round toilet seat did not fit the elongated toilet. There was no shampoo in the bathroom. One of the kitchen chairs was broken (like, really broken). The staff respectfully acknowledged the problems. Next time we look for a hotel, we’ll read the reviews more carefully before we make the reservation.

    The staff was nice when I checked in. The mattress is bumpy and the tub wasn't clean for me to get in. I didn't feel comfortable taking my clothes off. The quality of the furniture isn't good. Very cheap. I paid for a king bed but when I got there it wasn't available.

    There were roaches everywhere. Babies and adults. I complained to staff, but they were not phased in the least and would not give a refund. I need to talk to Expedia about this. I left a day early and lost money as it was prepaid. There was even a roach in my bag when I got home.

    had a terrible experience at this hotel. The customer service was awful when I raised multiple issues, they just said they had no other rooms available. The toilet wouldn’t flush, and the lights kept turning off automatically every two hours. Even the TV kept shutting down every hour. I would not stay here again, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

    Nothing, absolutely nothing because the room had roaches and hair in the refrigerator which resulted in my sister and I leaving the keys on the bed and finding another hotel to stay the night at! Which caused unnecessary added expense, elevated levels of stress as we were women driving around alone at 11 pm at night unfamiliar with the Richmond, Va area trying to find another hotel decent hotel we would be comfortable spending the night in! I like absolutely NOTHING about this experience from the start and it still hasn’t been finished because I still haven’t had my issues resolved or my money returned and it’s been almost an entire week smdh it’s very simple we did not stay in the room we paid for because of the conditions we found refund my money! The room had roaches, there was long strands of black hair on the shelf in the refrigerator, the main desk was zero help, and has been giving me the complete run around I had to call from my sister’s phone just for the front desk to pick up because every time I called from my phone there was no answer the day after this all occurred. The guy that answered the phone the night we booked and saw all this literally said the roaches must’ve walked in from outside when we did smdh so I asked him did the strand of hair walk in from outside too??? we did not stay and I STILL have not received my money back, this entire experience was ridiculous and disgusting and frankly unsafe as it was 11:00 pm in Richmond, Va and two women alone were trying to find another hotel because the one we booked was roach infested and nastily cleaned if cleaned at all because how does someone’s hair get into a refrigerator on the shelf?

    We choose this hotel for brief visits in VA. The price for what you get is appropriate and this location is quiet and we feel safe. I do not feel it's as clean as it should be. The floors always feel like they need a good scrubbing. The bed this time was very, very firm. The frig did not shut tightly and my husband had to tighten the toilet to reduce wobble. The hotel is really starting to show signs of age. They need to thoroughly clean and upgrade the rooms before things get too bad.

    Office staff were pleasant and tried to please, but the first desk clerk wrote the wrong room number on my room key. It was so dark I couldn't read the room numbers (entrances are outside) so I went back to the office. He kindly escorted me to the second room from the office, 104, but he had written 304. Bed and refrigerator looked clean. Some ticks are dangerous and I saw one crawling on the wall a few feet from the bed soon after I arrived. Office was closed 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM! I called from their outdoor phone and told someone. No one came so I went back. Someone came with the key to the room next door, but I decided to check out because I did not feel safe. Prepaid 3 nights. Night man with the key to a new room said it would take a few days for refund. I went back the next day to get packages I had sent there. I called from the outside phone. I was told I had to wait to 10:00 AM even though two people had told me someone would retrieve my packages as soon as I arrived, even though office was closed. The Sunday morning clerk said they do not give refunds, something about it being in their system. People in the parking lot outside the hotel at night when I arrived looked like they were engaged in criminal activity. It is called extended stay, but kitchen cabinets were empty. I later saw a sign in the office that you could buy utensil kits.

    The kitchen came furnished with two-burner stovetop, sink, full-size refrigerator, small microwave and a two-person high-top eating area. There was only one high-top chair. Nothing was provided to enable cooking or eating. No pots, pans, coffee maker, dishware, serving vessels or cooking or eating utensils. There was a single small armchair.

    I truly can’t say anything that I liked about this property, for $40 more a night I could’ve stayed at a much newer hotel Entire interior was unkept. Rust in the bathroom, bottom inside bathroom door looked like it was chewed on by a dog. Bathroom light crooked. Everything that was installed looked like it was worked on by eight year-old.

    Loved the location and closeness to where my wife and I were going. When I went to check in, I was told that there were no rooms available even though I had a confirmation through booking.com. I even received an email the day before saying that my chosen check in time was ok. I then had to scramble to find another hotel because we had an event to attend. Most disappointing experience I've been through using the app.

    Excellent location, near tons of stores and restaurants. We only stayed one night as we were traveling home but if I had reason to be in Richmond again I would definitely stay here. Rooms were very clean, shower had great water pressure! All over great .

    The room looks nothing like the picture. This place is old, dirty, decaying and absolutely disgusting. It was smelly and gross. People were yelling at all hours of the day and night, which was scary. Please do not stay here. You will truly regret it. This is by far the worst hotel experience of my life!

    The suite was acceptable. Smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was non- smoking. The suite door locked but very loose the second lock did not turn the bed was good, bathroom clean l, and the recliner was a plus. Parking area and clientele was questionable.     This is our 2nd time staying at Extended Stay. The location is excellent for our purposes and there are plenty of food choices in the area. The bed is very comfortable and, if needed, the room is provisioned well down to the supplied coat hangers. We even had 4 pillows to choose from. My only complaint is the floor. Whatever they're using to clean, it is sticky. This is not an upper end hotel, but for the price, this particular one is in a safe and fairly quiet area. Our room is clean and comfortable, I just wear shoes or flip flops.

    Drug and alcohol use open in the parking lot. Domestic violence situation prompted 4 Henrico County police to arrive to settle a noisy and violent situation. The room had been smoked in previously (non smoking facility). The shower was disgusting and used soap still in the shower. Place was filthy and disgusting. Staff on duty could care less as he visibly did not want to be at work. Would never return or recommend this location.

    Place is disgusting left over garbage and food from whoever was there before everything was rotten and falling apart mold and mildew growing on the walls of the bathroom and I requested that the stove be fixed multiple times they claimed to schedule repair and it was never fixed the entire time I was there ended up leaving before my stay was over and getting another hotel room elsewhere

    The pictures look nothing like the actual property. There was a homeless person in the room they gave me a key to - when I told them, they said they had no rooms left and to ask Expedia for a refund. This led to a two day back and forth between Expedia and the hotel, as well as corporate. The company was extremely rude and impatient. I will never use any hotel by Extended Stay America again.

    I had an overnight check-in, and it was quick. The front desk was helpful. I read all the reviews when I made the reservation, but I didn’t have many choices. At first, I was disappointed, but once I checked in, it wasn't bad at all. The room was clean, and the service was good. I learned that having high expectations can lead to disappointment.

    I purchased the room through Expedia. When I arrived to check-in. The clerk confirmed my reservation, but then said unfortunately they have no rooms available. Why take my money knowing you didn’t have any rooms. A waste of time and now I have wait 7-10 business days to receive a refund. I will never try to stay there again.

    My skin still crawls when I think about my stay. I knew it was going to be a bad stay when I saw the outside of the building. There was no upkeep or curb appeal. I ended up going out and buying cleaning supplies and sheets for the bed and still felt dirty. The shower was subpar and the towels were paper thin, I’m glad I bought a bath towel while I was out. Save your money and get something a little more expensive because you are going to get what you pay for with this hotel.

    The room was very clean. However there was no soap or shampoo available to take a shower. I left a day early because I could not shower. When I went to sign out early, no one was available to let them know. I just dropped the key off in a slot and left. I will not be staying there again.

    Never forget to read the recent reviews of a hotel. The two most important questions in a hotel are Is it clean? And How’s the mattress. The room was filthy. The sink and tub did not drain properly. Walking in sock feet a few feet around the room left the socks black. Coming into the parking lot we spotted a rat running from the building to the woods across the road. I did check the mattress for bugs, however I did not find any evidence of bugs, so we stayed one night and did sleep well on the mattress. That does not make up for the filth in the room. I did not take pictures. I do not want to remember this room.

    The property is very nice and in a nice area. The room rate is reasonable for the purpose. I think the units need some updating (cabinets, towel racks) and definitely need a good scrubbing - especially the floor. For the money, this place suits our purposes perfectly and we'll probably be back.

    The room wasn’t at all what I expected. I’m okay with older and simple, but we saw a rat run in front of our room as we were walking towards it. The interior doors of the room looked like they either had damage from water or something had been gnawing on them. The shower did not look clean so we didn’t use it. It’s just not what we expected.

    I had nice stay at this hotel! It was super easy to access from the road, which made our arrival stress-free. The hotel was clean, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The lady forgot to asked her name , in particular, was amazing she was so friendly and took the time to make sure my family and I had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.. One of the biggest highlights for us was that the hotel is pet-friendly such a big plus for my fur baby! I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again in the future!
