    Front desk staff was amazing, I needed early check in due to some complications with my travel and they were so friendly and made it happen. Breakfast was great, room was fine, excellent value. The ONLY thing that wasn't great was whatever they used to clean the room with was incredibly strong scented, like air freshener had been spilled in the room. It wasn't just a clean smell it was overpowering and just way too much. The tub dripped every so often I guess due to pressure in the plumbing, but it wasn't a problem really.

    Parking was limited in the front of the hotel. Most of the available for parking was in the rear and the side of the hotel. Did not feel comfortable parking in the back of the hotel. Would have liked more accessibility closer to the front of the hotel.

    Everything was good with our stay here . We were traveling with a Great Pyrenees and she was made welcome. Plenty of grassy areas and dog bins around the property. Several dog friendly restaurants across the street sharing a large outside venue with shade fountains pools and friendly ducks .

    Staff at Hampton inns are always happy and helpful. We got in close to 7 PM and I just mentioned to the front desk if they usually have cookies out, so she made a point to go bake some.

    Upon arrival at 8pm I was expecting my digital room key to be ready as I said I would be arriving at 7pm when actual check in could start at 3pm. The digital room key was no ready so I had to stop by the front desk where Tiffanie was working. She told me she had to check on the availability of rooms and told me to have a seat. I waited 15 minutes before going up to her again to ask how long this was going to take and she said she forgot about me. She then checked me in by switching me to another room than the one I selected on the Hilton app. We were staying with a handful of other people who also had the same issues upon arriving well past check in times. One of which I witnessed and it took him over 30 minutes to get his room key from the front desk clerk who was talking on the phone with someone for instructions while trying to assist him. I realized on day 2 that I forgot shaving cream and asked the front desk if they sold any. They supposedly had packets for guests but were currently out of stock. Breakfast was not anything special, average hotel breakfast. We stayed for two nights.

    The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a chain hotel...and I travel a lot. The location was just far enough from i95 but still very easy to get to. The staff was friendly and accommodating. For some reason we didn't have a shower curtain or bath mat. By the time I noticed some of my party were asleep so I had to go get it and put it up. The staff were friendly and happy to provide it

    I requested a room with a tub - and got it. Since it was a handicap accessible room, it was larger then usual. Bed was comfortable. My husband was going to be gone most of the one day we were there so I was counting on sitting pool-side reading and relaxing. The website states there is a pool, however, apparently it doesn't open until Memorial Day!!! I couldn't stay in the room all day because the window shades were broken and all we had was a black-out shade that wouldn't open, making the room very dark. Even with all the lights on, I felt like I was in a cave. Should change the website to state when the pool is available!!!!! An ok property but there are better places in Richmond, VA

    Location fine. Room was clean and comfortable. Did not have the breakfast, but it's nice to have the option. They accepted my reservation for 2 rooms with a 3pm check-in time and request for the 2 rooms to be close together or on the same floor. Upon arrival, rooms were not ready and the person at the desk talked about rooms being available that I did not make the reservation for. The most annoying thing were the EXCUSES given and unprofessional handling of the situation. This was the "First Impression", which set the tone for what could have been a more pleasant stay and hence, a better review.

    The TV and refrigerator in my room weren't working. A call to the front desk initiated a visit from a housekeeping staff person, who had no idea what to do. Maintenance was not available. The room itself was very good, large and clean. Breakfast was very good, with many choices. Front desk staff was friendly, and as helpful as they could be. Would stay again, but check tv and refrigerator before getting settled.

    Only the breakfast managed by the young lady there. She kept it stocked and cleaned. The entryway wasn’t presentable, pool was nasty green, still valentine vase in the lobby area. It was only overnight but hotel was under construction, there was tape on walls, the light wss out in elevator so didn't feel safe!     The bed was comfortable, they did have breakfast, the location was perfect for what I needed. I received complimentary water bottles as a Hilton Rewards member. Cons: The room was not clean to my expectations. Found hair in the bathroom (not mine lol), and the bath gel was not refilled. There were no toiletries such as a shower cap, toothbrush etc. I didn’t have time to chase down the level of service that I’m accustomed to as I was there for an exam and needed to go to bed asap. The breakfast was ok, but the grits were not done, and they didn’t have a hot water dispenser…yet they had tea!? The food attendant gave me some, just thought it was weird. No microwave downstairs but there was one in the room with a coffee machine. Takeaways: This spot is in a great location near the Pearson Vue testing center and provides basic accommodations for a lower price.

    The heater in the room made a loud banging noise when it was running, ultimately causing us to turn the heat off. I dripped a small amount of water on the bathroom floor in the middle of the night. I used a towel the wipe it up and after one swipe of the small spot, the towel was black signally to me that the floor had not been cleaned in a very long time. Finally, having previously fully paid for my room, upon checkin they charged an additional $50 to my card "incase we trashed the room". When questioned I was told "it would be refunded at checkout if the room was okay." At checkout, i was told that the money would go back to my card but it would take 10 days." I was left with so many reasons NOT to go back to this hotel.

    There was no decaf at the coffee bar. I know it's in the room, but why have two different kinds of caffeinated coffee and no decaf? Some people have medical problems (heart, etc) and cannot have caffeine. So they have to make coffee in their rooms and then come out for breakfast? That makes no sense. My biggest issue, however, was the scrambled eggs. I am lactose intolerant. I am very good at avoiding lactose, but there was no signage stating that milk had been put into the eggs. I had severe cramping all afternoon and I will spare you the description of the aftermath. I have never had this happen at any restaurant. Please put some signs up saying that there is dairy in the scrambled eggs. Other than the coffee and the eggs, everything was perfect. The staff is professional and friendly, and our lobby and room were spotless. We were on the first floor and it was pretty quiet.

    The staff and front desk were terrific. The main problem was lack of security. We had young girls running our halls during the evening and we called the front desk. He came up and said something, but they came back later (930pm, 10pm) talking in hallways, giggling, basically using it as a hangout. Also there were several times we went to front desk and no one was there.

    Arrived late at night after a long drive down. Got into one of our rooms no problem the other room's lock needed a battery change. Instead of just giving me another room, maintenance attempted to change the lock. Realizing that he needed his toolkit cart to change the battery, he kept my room open by putting the lock out and said he would be back. After a while, now almost midnight, comes back with his toolkit cart. Then proceeds to say he has to go out to his truck because the screws used to install the lock were the wrong kind of screws and should have been phillips head screws but werent. Being that it was midnight and i had just driven 7 hours to get there, i told him i was going to sleep and the battery would have to be changed another time. Very dissappointing experience. I shouldve either been given a new room right from the start so that maintenance could change the battery on their own time or maintenance shouldve come from the start with the proper tools needed to change the battery quickly.

    While it's located in a safe and nice area, the hotel itself needs a makeover badly. Upon check-in, I could smell a strong smoke odor while standing in the lobby. The room was quite bad. The dresser door was coming off the hinge, the AC control panel was dusty, the beds weren't comfy, the wallpapers were all warping from water damages, the hair dryer was broken, and so.     The breakfast food choices were very limited and not consistent with Hampton Inn brand I am use too. I would recommend a regional or corporate leadership review the hotel and observe. The hotel overall was okay but I will not be staying at this Hampton Inn if I am in the Richmond region. I wish the business all the best.

    Check in was with ease. Went to the room cabinet door was broken leaning to the side, arrived by 12:00 am came from out of town to see dying family member. Got food from restaurant early and wanted to hear up my food microwave was not working had to leave room with mother who had dementia and acting out because afraid I was leaving her but to only warm her food to feed her in the hotel kitchen which was for guess. And to find mold on the outlet in the room. But did not get a heads up on the condition of the room we was entering to see if we was ok with the condition of the room. And to even ask for a deposit just in case something get damaged and it was already damaged when we entered was a slap to the face. And I was very unsatisfied with the condition of the room to come to the front desk because desk clerk wouldn't answer the phone and had to come down stairs to speak about the situation because she was on her phone. And not answering the desk calls. Was very unsatisfied with the whole situation.

    It was being renovated, but we had not been informed before making our reservation. So, elevator service was restricted at times, no cups in bathroom, AC in room not able to be adjusted, cleanliness subpar. We had expected a better experience for a Hampton.

    Hi! This was the worst hotel stay we had in more than a decade. Toilet was broken and we had ants in the room. We found trash under the bed and the room service left full trash bags on the desk. We were here with a group of people and they had dirty rooms as well. The service was not responsive at all except for the lady doing the breakfast. Overall the facilities were very dirty (pool, carpets, etc). Stay away!

    We were looking forward to being in the Short Pump area since it has such high revews. This Hampton Inn was the biggest disappointment. The hotel was under limited renovation upon our arrival on July 4th. The room was beyond terrible. It had a terrible wet dog oder, no hot water and was very noisy with the ice machine next door and the gym on the adjacent wall. There was no insulation in the walls so we could hear everyone walking down the hall late at nite and first thing in the morning. I woke very early to loud voices in the hallway and decided to get some coffee. The breakfast area is very tiny and the seating area was completely full. There was no coffee available. The kitchen attendant was nice enough to invite a few of us to enter the kitchen where the coffee was still brewing. The food was close to inedible. The scrambled eggs had to be imitation eggs. I had never seen or tasted eggs that had been "riced". The flat chicken sausage was impossible to cut with the plastic knife. The breakfast was a zero. The coffee was good and fortunately there was an attendant who knew what to do to appease a growing crowd of people who were waiting for the coffee which was supposed to be available in the lobby. We left the hotel early without showering since there was no hot water. The hotel is in a state of disrepair and we were sincerely disappointed.

    I’m a blogger for several online sites that offer deal for hotels. At this hotel, which is pet friendly smelled like urine in the hallways. There was construction going on late into the night and there were some issues with the room that I won’t mention here, but keep in mind to inspect your room if staying in any hotel. When I brought these concerns to the receptionist at the front desk, they were very accommodating and pleasantly respectful.

    The 06:00-10:00 breakfast was terrible. We arrived at approximately 09:15, but we had to wait over 30 minutes to get anything that wasn’t full of sugar (yes, there were sugary yogurt cups, blueberry muffins, and danishes that were stuck together along with a communal fork to tear them apart, but we weren’t going to eat those). The eggs, sausages, and potatoes bins were empty, and the cook seemed to be in no rush to refill them. While we waited, we sipped very weak Dark Roast coffee. When the eggs finally came, they were extremely low quality (powdered or the product of some other unappetizing processing method), and the sausages were too disgusting to touch. At least the cook tried to apologized for her ineptitude. Except the young man who checked us in, every other staff member we met was robotic, unsmiling, and unwelcoming. Perhaps the upper management should consider sending the staff to an Asian hotel for hospitality lessons, or perhaps these staff members should look for different employment if they’re so unhappy at this hotel. In summary, the evening experience was pleasant; the morning experience was not. We may or may not stay here in the future, but if we do return, it won’t be for the hospitality or breakfast.

    Hotel needs a lot of renovations. Suppose to supply free water bottles but they ran out for 2 days. Our shower leaked continually and was not repaired. All the sanitation devices mounted in the wall were not working. The auto fill water bottle unit also did not work. I can see why we got a great rate compared to the other Hampton Inn. Would not stay there again.

    My experience was not great the sink was clogged, there were no towels for a full body, there was pet hair on the pull out couch and as we were packing up our things my children and I found a sex toy under the couch.

    This is a fantastic hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful and dog friendly. There are plenty of dog walking areas. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I loved that the coffee was in a central location. Having traveled with my dog, I could not enjoy the free breakfast as I could not leave her in the room and I could not take her in the breakfast area. Because the coffee was in the lobby and not in the breakfast area, I could at least have some hot coffee in the morning.
