Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness, helpfulness, and professionalism. However, the rooms and common areas are frequently criticized for being outdated, dirty, and in need of renovation.

Excellent location with many food options and access to shopping. Reasonably clean with some renovation needed in the near future.

The guest laundry facilities were broken. So we couldn't wash or dry our wet clothes for swimming. The hot tub and pool was dirty and hot tube had a weird mildew smell to it but was hot.The property is definitely older and needs updates. the tiles in the room bathroom were broken and the beds were not soft and comfy. The breakfast was adequate the omelets were delicious but the price for the breakfast per person was a bit costly. The staff were very wonderful and helpful polite and professional.

When we arrived, we were informed that even though we had a confirmed reservation there was no room. The reason the cleaning staff had not cleaned the room. So, after a long flight in the rain we were forced to fiend for our selves and find another place to lodge. I now am fully aware that an Expedia reservation at a Hilton property is worth a warm bucket of spit.
- 4/5
Everything was fine, The tubs were weird not good for people with balance issues. Charging for complimentary breakfast wasn’t the best either. A little older but all in all it was fine and everything you would need . The tv’s were big and awesome tho. Beds firm but alright . Not to shabby. The concessions were way too over priced . 5 bucks for gummies ., camm on..
- 5/5
Comfortable and quiet
- 2/5
I was not all that impressed with the place to be honest. There were very few options to watch on the tv and the connection kept dropping. The breakfast was less than up to par. There were no pastries, bread, croissants or bagels out. No waffles or pancakes. It was a bare minimum breakfast to say the least. Very disappointing. It wasn’t worth what they want you to pay for breakfast, save your money and go OUT for breakfast.
- 3/5
The bed was hard!! The pillows were way too soft and flimsy feeling. They do not do housekeeping which was disappointing. Breakfast was not included but served. The staff wss super nice. There was ample parking.

Great location near many restaurants and just 15 minutes to UR.

Dated. Poor AC unit.

Mediocre at best.

INCONSISTENT this is the second time that we have stayed in this hotel in the last two weeks. Both visits were two days long. On the first visit, a nice collection of fruit greeted us as we came in the door For this next visit, nothing. For the first visit, the air conditioner worked. For this visit, did not. We found a very strange bug in our bathtub. The handicap parking is a long ways from the front door, and the other parking spaces are so narrow that you’re going to get dinged every time you park there. We put a do not disturb sign on our door, but this morning somebody from maintenance was banging hard on our door. We didn’t even have complimentary water bottles in our room. We’re done with this hotel.

EVERY SINGLE THING!!! IT WAS 20 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nothing
- 2/5
The housekeeping staff were helpful and friendly. The front desk staff were incompetent. They put us in a room that was already occupied and it took a long time to check in. Also, there was permanent mold on the tub--the kind that can't be cleaned off so it wasn't the housekeeping staff's issue. Also, there was a menu in the lobby that included sandwiches but there were never any sandwiches available. Finally, we were greeted with a free apple in the lobby but the apples were never replenished. It's a nice property but poorly managed.
- 4/5
Didn't get a chance for breakfast or pool. Room was clean upon entry but you have to sign up for room service. Would have liked room service to be automatic.
- 3/5
The place needs upgrading. Bathroom floors and shower.. The room overall was clean.
- 1/5
It’s very disappointing that the booking was cancelled with no notice when I arrived. And they did not bother to help out getting alternative. It was 12:30am and i had no where to go.

Breakfast was a little pricy for a simple continental breakfast, but I get it. Everything else was great, thank you for running a clean hotel.

Out of coffee Saturday morning early at breakfast with no coffee k-cups in stock to make in the room, even. Fan not working in bathroom. $6.95/day WiFi charge. Overall, quite disappointing.
- 4/5
Older property, the side door to get in was damaged and unable to be used, the floor we stayed on smelled like THC upon exiting.
- 5/5
Nice place. Didn’t have breakfast because it wasn’t included. Nice pool and hot tub.
- 4/5
Very clean, nice property. Great location - safe, close to restaurants/grocery stores/etc, and the grounds were very pretty. Staff were friendly and helpful. There were some minor maintenance issues like some flooring coming up in the bathroom, but overall the property seems very well-maintained.

I never saw anyone at the bar to help me. The breakfast was fresh and good.

We only stayed one night as a stop over on our way to Myrtle beach. Hotel was cute. Front desk staff was super nice. Loved the little drink and snack stand.

The rooms smelled of marijuana
- 2/5
Our bathroom’s tub had rust stains on the tub floor which were very noticeable and looked disgusting. The handle to the hot water faucet was very loose and fell off numerous times. Also, the cord to our room’s telephone receiver kept falling out, cutting off the connection. We were traveling with an 89 year old family member, who does not use a cell phone, so the room phone was a necessity. For the amount of money we paid and for this being a Hilton property, our stay was very disappointing. We will not be returning. Hope others have better experiences.

The room was not dusted and there were stains on the pillows and sheets. Staff was very friendly!

The location was perfect it was right In The heart of everything work, food, gas, shopping. Ice machine did not work, no “do not disturb” sign for the door. No directory in the room that showed the hours of the restaurant/bar, WiFi, area attractions, quick hit for channels. The room was clean for the most part but there were spots(looked sticky) on the desk and bedside table. Was given two keys was not told upfront one was for the doors and one was for the room until I tried to use them.

Extremely clean, breakfast was great, dining options close to the hotel and very family friendly

Elevator not working and didn’t get charged the extra $50 for my stay
- 5/5
The 2 night stay was very comfortable, clean, clean, clean. Had a billing issue with front desk, that were waiting to get cleared on our credit card. Other than that awesome place to stay. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, with a pond & live ducks, a fountain, walking bridge and statue. A pavilion with quaint restaurant varieties, outdoor seating with umbrellas, a beer bar. Just a short distance 10 min. Car drive away from the Short Pump Shopping Center, 2 museums. You won't be disappointed.
- 4/5
Hotel great and located around shops and restaurants. Definitely carpets need a good cleaning but would book again.
- 4/5
The hotel itself was nice but our room was super outdated and not clean. Hair in the tub, fresh stains on the toilet, dust etc.
- 3/5
Directly across that we stay at as well.
- 5/5
Room and bath were clean and bed was very comfy. Check in staff was friendly, and breakfast staff were on point. Host Kennedy and lady chef provided top notch service. Both were very accommodating and spoke through smiles. We will definitely be back to see them.
- 2/5
The front desk staff is exceptionally rude. I prepaid for breakfast and politely asked if a coupon was needed since I didn’t get one with the room key. The lady felt irritated by my question. She looked at her cell phone and told me “No, go eat” without looking at me or saying anything else. A simple “good morning or hello” would have been nice.
- 4/5
Clean. No ice on the 4th floor. Elevator not working 1 day but fixed very quickly
- 4/5
Food was fresh & good
- 4/5
Upon check in the staff was courteous. One elevator was down and that made getting to floors somewhat slow. There were no clear signs that pointed out stair access. The room was clean but under the bedding the mattress was in poor condition. Coming down in the morning both elevators were down. Stair access only led to the outside of the building so it was difficult to navigate by stairs. Some exits had broken push bars. Breakfast was good and the chef and restaurant attendant were both very courteous. The hot tub was fine but the seating area had a rather large trail of ants coming from the outdoors. It did not affect me in the hot tub but I would not sit in the pool chairs because it would be an issue. I did notice the staff cleaning the fitness area well. Getting back up to the room was not easy and an attendant helped me to find and enter the stairs to get to the 4th floor. At checkout the desk staff awarded me Hilton Honors points for the inconveniences, which I really appreciated.
- 3/5
The front desk staff were not friendly or helpful. The elevator was broken and the pillows were wore out. The price we paid for one night was not worth the amenities available.
- 4/5
Room was clean, but sink cracked and slow to drain. No linens in the room for pull out sofa. Staff brought it to us pretty quickly but we were tired and arrived late. Would have been nice to have it there. Finally this is my second time in the past year in this hotel with no elevator service. I dont mind walking but felt fortunate that I did not have my elderly mother with me. Lovely location and lots to eat and do near by. Building maybe could use some capital spending. Staff was pleasant in all encounters
- 5/5
Loved everything! Wasn't free breakfast though! Pillows could use some more support but other than that everything was clean and comfortable!
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice. I added the breakfast option for my party of 4 when I booked which saved us about 23 bucks. The pool was great and there was a little hot tub attached to it.

- 5/5

- 1/5
Our stay was quite disappointing! Sad to say, the first room we were assigned was musty and had a bad smell. The TV and remote did not work and there was no literature left regarding Richmond and hotel amenities in the room.We were then reassigned to another room which was better. There was a QR code in the new room that could be accessed with information. The bathroom needed work! The body wash, conditioner and shampoo containers were empty. In addition, the ground fault receptacle in the bathroom was broken and did not work. Housekeeping needs improvement. The room was quite dusty and there was trash in the halls and elevator. Hilton Garden has always been our go to hotel. We were quite sad and disappointed with our stay.
- 5/5
Clean
- 3/5
We booked a room just to take the kids swimming. They enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The room was not clean. The arms of the chair was sticky, the lamp switch was sticky, the inside of the bathroom door looks like it had poo smeared on the door. If properly cleaned, I would have liked my stay very much.
- 5/5
did not drink or eat in the hotel.

I will revisit! Enjoyed my stay.
- 2/5
The hotel is dated and sorely needs to be renovated. In our room, the bathroom floor tiles were broken and completely loose from the floor. This is a safety hazard, on top of looking terrible and being impossible to clean. The hotel carpets were brown, but still managed to look dirty. We went to look at the pool, and it looked like scum was floating on top, and there was hair floating in the hot tub. In the fitness room, the majority of the machines were out of order. Outside the hotel were lots of cigarette butts that had not been cleaned up, and trash in the lobby was not removed promptly. The only thing positive I can say is that the bed was comfortable.
- 1/5
Rooms are old and run down. Looks like they were last updated in the 80’s-90’s. Worst $200 per night I’ve ever spent. Dirty

2nd floor smelled like smoke from 20 years ago.
- 5/5
Great room and friendly staff
- 1/5
dirty elevator wad down. Toilet woyld not flush. Shower looks as though nevetlr cleaned. Convention going on below our room so loueld could hear through floor. Will never stay again.
- 4/5
Convenient location, overall pretty good. I feel like they could use some updates when it comes to bedspreads as far as texture and looks! As well as the tub you could tell that it was clean, but it has rust stains. It’s definitely time for a painting. Presentation matters when it comes to people spending their money. But overall, it was quiet, convenient and staff were appropriate.
- 1/5
We checked in and someone else was already checked in our room. Their stuff was in a desk. I brought it down to the front desk and explained the situation. Yet we got knocks on our door by the police at 1:00 AM. I had to explain myself when I already did when I checked in. I had to prove it was my room and I had an actual key and show my id. Complete safety hazard. Luckily I could lock door room from inside. They double booked our room.
- 3/5
The rooms are okay. Only one elevator was working during our stay.
- 3/5
There was a guest somewhere on the floor who was smoking weed and it stunk up the hallway. No one from the hotel addressed this issue. One elevator was "under modernization" and so the remaining elevator was used by all guests. This led to long waits both on the floor to go down and in the lobby to go back to the room. The desk said there was a $5.00 parking fee, which for a suburban hotel seems like extortion, but it didn't show up on our bill. With those negatives aside, the hotel was clean, the bed comfortable and the pool and hot tub enjoyable amenities.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
We were given the option of early check in and tha was very helpful
- 1/5
This hotel was so old and dusty. I left a day early. The staff were nice, but the hotel in general was disgusting and they need to remodel.
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
I have stayed at this Hilton before and have always had a great experience. Rooms are clean, there is plenty to do and see and eat nearby and the staff is friendly. If anything, hopefully they can get the elevators working a little better. One seemed to be out of commission and the other was very slow. Otherwise all was great and the staff was also very responsive and helpful when my friend left behind their cellphone. They found it, and held it at the front desk until we could return to pick it up again.
- 5/5
Clean room. Pleasant, accommodating staff.
- 5/5
V clean
- 3/5
Carpet in the hallways looked very dirty. Elevator was very slow. Pool/hot tub area seemed dirty. Was hearing doors slamming at all hours.
- 4/5
Good Service
- 1/5
Handicapped room paid extra for that. The toilet was so very hard to use because of the height. It was an old low toilet. I had to help my husband off who uses a walker. The coffee maker and phone provided by the hotel did not work. Outlets did not work. Room had cigarette hole in the chair and the drapes are stained. the pillows did not fit the bed and the pillow cases did not cover the pillow. We had a terrible night. It was not up to a minimum standard of any hotel.
- 1/5
The room was shabby. The elevator wasn't working. The tub had rust stain or hard water stains in it. There was a broken table in there. It wasn't what I expected for a 5 star hotel. I was disappointed.
- 3/5
Room was not in good condition. It was not stocked with towels properly. Handicap people need more than a towel to take a shower. There were no wash cloths in the room and only two towels for two people. The shower rod was nearly falling off the wall and the shower drain left something to be desired since the entire room floor was covered with water. It was fortunate it didn't get on the room carpet. Otherwise, the staff was courteous. The heated pool was not heated and cold as could be, but the hot tub was very warm and wonderful. Had to repeatedly ask for pool towels. Apparently, the property is short handed and needs more help to keep up with the laundry. Overall, it was not an experience I would expect from a Hilton property.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 3/5
Walls were super thin, I could hear loud TV’s, and all conversations from the neighboring rooms, including fights and slamming doors at 3am.
- 5/5
Absolutely the best! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Extremely family friendly!
- 3/5
The room was clean but both elevators where down and I had to take my luggage up and down the steps from 5th floor.
- 3/5
When we visited one elevator was being upgraded and the other one broke during our stay. Only way in was walking around the outside to the stairs. Bed was comfy. Staff were great and apologetic. Breakfast was decent. 7/10 great price for value
- 5/5
The staff was great
- 1/5
Our room was dirty. There were chips all in the carpet, hair ties were left on the floor, our duvet had hair all in it, and nothing was stocked. We had a coffee maker but no cups, our toilet paper rolls were all down to the bottom, and there were bugs on the vent by the window. This is definitely my first and last time staying here.
- 5/5
Courteous staff, quiet and clean room, affordable investment, and easy to both check-in as well as check-out.
- 2/5
The staff was very nice and attentive but the room was not up to what I would expect from Hilton. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. Had to put the pillows cushion on top bc you could feel the springs. The room did not have any bedding for the sofa bed. The sink was in the bathroom was cracked
- 1/5
I’ve stayed at this particular Hilton Hotel several times and it gets worse every time. I WILL NOT waste my money at this hotel ever again!!! The front desk staff was excellent, professional and attentive of all clients. Thanks you guys and keep doing what you’re doing. 💖
- 2/5
Bathroom was dirty. The only reason i booked this hotel was for hot tub after driving 7 hrs and being in my 60's with bad hips and arthritis I really needed a hot tub. Unfortunately it was not up and running and pool was cold. Should say that on website. Was really pissed and disappointed and left in pain.
- 4/5
Clean room, good service. It was a bit far from the convention center. That is my only complaint.
- 5/5
Everyrhing was gate
- 2/5
One elevator was broken, didn’t even tell you at check in. The hot tub had wires exposed, there were signs that said it was broken, but when we got there it was working. So we assumed it was fixed. It was not, even had an employee walk in and brings towels and didn’t say anything. Our refrigerator was broken. Beds were comfy though
- 5/5
Clean room everything was comfortable and clean staff was nice ☺️
- 5/5
Very Clean. Desk was missing lamp and desk chair was sinking down. they replaced the chair and lamp within 20 minutes.
- 3/5
The room did not feel totally clean. There were no coffee cups and the toilet tissue roll in the bath was empty. None of the three treadmills in the fitness center worked. They all had error codes. When I inquired, I was told that they are leased from a third party provider who would have to be contacted the next day. The staff was nice and friendly, it was not their fault. This facility needs an update!
- 4/5
Location and pool
- 5/5
I did not use the bar or hot tub.
- 1/5
They charged me more than what I was suppose to pay
- 4/5
But the staff is kind & quickly brought us a handful more.
- 5/5
Clean room and tub. Concierge was friendly. Continental breakfast was not included in stay.
- 3/5
Hot tub was shut down for maintenance and the bar & grill was closed for the holidays. Also pre- charged for “ incidentals”. I did receive my money back. However they should let people know there’s a $50 charge on a card Not used for booking room. And there’s a parking fee. All that said, it was clean and staff friendly was nice.
- 5/5
My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay there.
- 5/5
Exelent servicio
- 5/5
Clean room, amenities, no issues with my dog, and kind staff.
- 4/5
The hotel is undergoing some improvements from 12/25 to the end of January 2026. We were not aware of the elevator improvements but it wasn't too much of a problem over the weekend. They advertised a breakfast but it costs extra. Not much more than you'd typically get. Disappointed in that. When we arrived at the check in time of 3pm, they weren't ready. On the plus side, check out is noon, the pool and hot tub were nice. It's in a really good location - in the warmer months, the restaurants nearby have an awesome outside area. Went to the Fishin' Pig and Capitol Alehouse for dinner/drinks and that was nice having them in walking distance.Pet friendly! Bed was comfortable room was quiet. Would recommend with minor reservations.
- 3/5
Beds uncomfortable, antiquated design and poorly upkept shower with very slow to drain sink. Would not recommend to a friend.
- 5/5
Excellent hospitality and property.
- 3/5
Fine enough stay -
- 5/5
Staff was great, especially the breakfast crew. They went above and beyond to ensure my sons and I were taken care of. ♥️
- 5/5
Cozy
- 4/5
Hotel was nice enough. Old and needs to be renovated
- 1/5
Would not book again. Checked in later in the evening after traveling and shopping for just a place to sleep. Walked into a very unclean bathroom. It even had a random pill laying on the floor. The furniture in the room was very worn down. Staff were very friendly, but it just wasn't clean.
- 4/5
Friendly staff and clean room.
- 5/5
This hotel was really nice. The room was clean and the people at the front desk were friendly. My husband and I enjoyed the indoor pool. We would definitely stay there again.
- 3/5
The WiFi was down
- 3/5
This is a basic hotel, not what I usually have come to expect with Hiltons. The staff is always very kind though. And the neighborhood is close to family, so it works.
- 1/5
The bathroom was not clean. The tub was dirty
- 2/5
Dark parking lot. Musty smell in lobby and elevator. 3, yes 3, treadmills out of order. Bed was hard as a rock. No turndown service. Only decaf in the room. Would not recommend! This is not up to HGI standards.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable rooms and a great location. Staff was courteous and helpful, too.
- 2/5
Front desk was not very helpful. When asked if there could be a delay in checkout due to the snowstorm the night before, they said no. Places looks like it needs lots of repairs, one elevator in service, no ease of access or reentry if you went to designated smoking section.
- 3/5
The breakfast was very good and fresh
- 5/5
Yes on all accounts
- 4/5
Room was nice. The furniture in the lonby needs cleanin and updating. The breakfast staff was AMAZING! ESPECIALLY the omlet maker!
- 5/5
Great hotel. Great location.
- 5/5
Friendly, helpful staff; clean, quiet room; convenient location
- 2/5
First, the staff was soo nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, the room was not up to a Hilton Garden. First room was noisy and pillow case had a stain as well as room was not clean. Moved and second room was much better. Interior needs to be updated. Carpet worn and ripped. Bath tile grout was chipping and cracking. Toilets just ran and had to fix it every time you went to the bathroom.
- 5/5
Fast and curteous

The hotel could use some updates. My room was a bit dated. Halls and elevator could have been cleaner. Hot tub was nice but wasn’t hot enough:( staff was nice, outdoor area was nice and location was convenient.
- 5/5
Excellent staff, had coffee out early for the marathon runners on Saturday, clean room
- 4/5
Clean and good staff
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly.
- 3/5
Room was perfect however it was billed as sleeping 3 and couch hidabed was impossible to sleep on. My daughter had to rent her own room for 3 nights. They need to put a new mattress on that hidabed couch. Otherwise it was fine!!!
- 3/5
Hotel only had one elevator working long wait times, toilet would continue to run. It was overall very noisy as well
- 5/5
The staff was great and helpful!
- 3/5
It was fine.
- 5/5
Our room was spotless. The staff was most helpful and breakfast delicious. Next time we are in Richmond we'll be staying here.
- 5/5
Room clean
- 3/5
When I got to my room on check in a house keeper let herself in as I was unpacking. Room was not serviced during my stay, bed was not made or towels refreshed.
- 4/5
Did not get rooms beside each other like requested but the location was great and able to walk to lots of dining options.
- 4/5
Yes very nice
- 5/5
Luna at the bar was great as well as Joann for breakfast
- 2/5
Only one elevator worked, room was not terribly clean, breakfast was really below average and overpriced. Pillows were not good and bed was somewhat lumpy. Not many machines in the gym. Overall the hotel was very “mid“ at best.
- 5/5
The pool could have been a little warmer but over all great experience the hilton garden inn is my new go too when near Richmond
- 3/5
Hot tub not hot
- 5/5
Area was clean staff was friendly
- 5/5
Everything was great.

- 5/5
Stayed overnight for my daughter's wedding and reception at Atlas 42. Everything was wonderful. Didn't use anything. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff was great!
- 5/5
Very convenient
- 3/5
When you first walk into the lobby of the building, you are greeted by a huge fan. No AC. Then when you walk to see the pool, another large fan. The pool was small and the water appeared to be green. The carpet needed to be clean. Smelled dirty. That goes for the hallways and the room carpert. The bed was fine. The water pressure for the shower was not good. I feel that the hotel needs some remodeling and more attention is needed for the cleanliness of the property.

Very nice hotel clean room.

Great
- 4/5
The Hotel is nicely convenient to where i needed to be. Some confusion at the Front Desk upon checking in on Charges i wasnt aware of. The Hallways are on the darker side, lighter paint choices would fix that. Shower had very poor water pressure, but the room was clean and comfortable

Excellent location. Clean and very comfortable.

Perfect for a single woman traveling with her dog! Lovely grounds to walk, great bar and restaurant, nice rooms. Price was very competitive with area hotels. Really just a perfect stay.

We stayed here to get off the highway for the night for our trip from Myrtle Beach,SC back home to Vermont. It was everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and inviting. The lobby was very clean and inviting. For a short stay or a long stay- I would stay again. My son and I even got a little swim in before bed in the pool. It’s heated but….was still too cold for my husband and daughter. My son and I are fish ( 😁) we still got in. The spa is very small- really only room enough for a couple. We were not able to use it because it was occupied the entire time. We could see our car from our room which gave my husband peace of mind. Diner across the street that was “farm to table” (was not expecting that!) good food! Not spot to stay without being in the city.
- 5/5
Only stayed for one day, wish it was longer. Very clean!
- 4/5
okay
- 5/5
Our stay was great, friendly hotel staff and service at front desk. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the property is a little dated and is in need of TLC to tidy things up. Great restaurants within walking distance.
- 5/5
Very out dated, carpet in rooms, like stepping into 1990. Lots of food in walking distance. Short Pump mall is 6 miles down the road. Lots of signs stating hotel is not responsible for car break ins all over parking lot. Trailer in lot with grass growing under it.
- 5/5
Liked the hotel
- 4/5
The dining options in the area and staff working the desk being considerate about what times for check in.
- 3/5
Ok. Great location for us and a nice property. Room s need updating badly. We stsynhere often due to,location and price but tgeres always something broken or being repaired.
- 5/5
Short stay, wish we had a longer stay
- 4/5
Bed is very comfortable. There is a restaurant in the lobby and some restaurants nearby.
- 5/5
The staff was fantastic!
- 3/5
We stay here often great location for us. Rooms badly in need of update. Last two stays toilet runs all night unless handle is jiggled ac is loud
- 5/5
Great overnight stay for myself and the family! Front desk staff was amazing!
- 4/5
Very clean and nice staff and amenities.
- 3/5
Noisy hallways, not soundproofed
- 2/5
The bed was the most uncomfortable night I've ever had. Both my partner and I agree we will not stay at this Richmond hotel again. When I mentioned it to the front desk there was no "I'm sorry to hear that" or anything else for that matter. They just stated it was the hotel "standard", when pushed forward (we regularly stay at Fairfield) they repeated it was the hotel standard. With that as standard and no effort to empathize we will take our business elsewhere.
- 3/5
Decent but not immaculate property, no AC in main lobby. Water damage and blower to dry rug constantly running by the elevator. One broken elevator, yellow tape. No explanation to patrons. Staff was cordial. Not a fan of Direct TV which goes out and loses signal during storm. TV channels limited. Need streaming choices like Residence Inn to use you own Amazon Prime Account would be nice. Overall good stay. Quiet.
- 5/5
Elevators were damaged but otherwise very nice
- 5/5
My first room 501 was in perfect condition. Due to the thunderstorm, my power was flickering in my room, and my TV went out. The front desk said to give it 20 minutes, so I waited about an hour, and the TV was still not working. I requested a new room, she put me on the second floor room 208, and that room looked used and not very clean. Bed had stains, towels looked touched, counters weren't wiped, the coffee machine was dirty, toilet seat was up and slightly dirty. I requested 3rd or 4th floor but she was giving me 6th floor. She said the hotel was booked out but the parking lot didn't look booked out. She did give me extra sheets to change and a breakfast for the next day as my accommodation, because I asked for it due to the room condition. My stay was from July 19th-21st
- 1/5
Just horrible service my room wasn’t available until 45 minutes after I arrived from a long drive. When my wife and I tried to address our concerns to the general manager he literally ignored us. The elevators was out of order we had tiling our luggage up 3 flights of stairs no ice machine on our floor we had to go to the second floor just to get ice. Horrible service and building maintenance.
- 2/5
Over the top of the pool… like I said before previous visits were nice but this time I was not impressed next time I may just have to try another nearby hotel

Great location right next to short pump shopping center. I enjoyed my 1 night stay will definitely book again.

Exterior and lobbying were very nice, however the corridor on the 4th floor had large stairs on the carpeting and the woodwork was in bad shape. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.

great location

Hotel is very nice. The only issue we had was the water pressure wasn't great. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. The offer free bottled waters which was very nice, Overall we enjoyed our stay!!
- 5/5
Very ni e hotel. I had the king size because I was in town to photograph a job. Everything went smooth and the property is in a very nice area. I recommend this Hilton..
- 5/5
Propert was a wonderful place to stay. Friendly staff and great experience overall.
- 5/5
Very pretty. The young lady at the front desk is friendly and efficient.
- 3/5
The hotel rooms needs an upgrade.
- 3/5
Upon checking into my room, I noticed that the sheets appeared a little dirty. This prompted me to thoroughly check underneath for bedbugs. Although I didn't find any insects, I found some weird stains, idk blood stains or other peculiar marks on the bedding. If i was with my wife we would've found another room or hotel. The property condition and the facilities seemed to be in need of a significant upgrade, suggesting that the building could benefit from modernization. I haveen't seen elevator buttons that old since the 90s. On a positive note, the staff was truly excellent. Every single team member I encountered was nice, kind, and incredibly helpful. Their professionalism and warm demeanor were a definite highlight of my visit. Additionally, the surrounding area around the building was remarkably clean, which contributed positively to the overall impression of the location.
- 3/5
My room wasn’t ready at check-in. When I crawled in bed the pillow case was filthy. The carpets needs to be cleaned and the smell of marijuana was overwhelming throughout my room and the 3rd floor. Water was supposed to be in the room 2 bottles, 0. The ice machine didn’t work on 3rd or 4th floor.
- 5/5
The overall experience was great. The staff was great the amenities were excellent.
- 3/5
So so
- 5/5
I love that you can walk out the back door and walk through nice landscaping to the Capitol Brew House for drinks and dinner. I don’t like their overpriced breakfast.
- 4/5
Our room did not have a tv remote and it took someone to bring it to our room in 15 minutes. A maid knocked at our door at 9:45am with our check out time was 12pm. My wife was sleeping at the time and there was no "Do Not Disturb" sign. Our closet door would not close. The pillows were very small and not comfortable. Other than that everything was excellent.
- 4/5
Convenient to where I was working, friendly front desk staff, clean. Only complaint is that the microwave cord didn't reach the outlet, so I had to move it to a lower shelf to use it.
- 5/5
The hotel was perfect will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
It was convenient, clean and comfortable. Would book here again.
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly! Would have loved to upgrade to a suite but maybe next stay I’ll go ahead and book it ahead with of time. Blessed this property was pet friendly. The pool was nice as well.
- 5/5
Great staff friendly and helpful. Clean place with an upscale feel.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Liked the staff and breakfast omelet area. My room appeared cleaned, but I found dry dog or cat kibble in a corner of the room so I dont know how truly clean it was.
- 4/5
This was a ref average place to stay, the gluten free breakfast accommodations are really unacceptable
- 4/5
Clean and easy stay
- 4/5
The property was nice. I stayed for two nights. My only issues were that the outlet in the bathroom didn’t work, (I flipped the GFCI with no result) and Ihousekeeping never came to my room.
- 2/5
I stay here pretty often, but my last two stays were pretty underwhelming. A manager still hasn’t followed up from my previous day where I didn’t have hot water, and this time my digital key didn’t work and the dryer in the laundry room charged me three times and still didn’t work.
- 4/5
Work done on ceiling beside elevator made first floor somewhat unsightly. The confusing breakfast plan was annoying to deal with…do I get $10 off? Or is it free? I bought two and only got one…weird. Free breakfast or not??
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay; every staff member was very polite, friendly, and respectful. It was very close to many stores and restaurants. The room was very clean, and I was not bothered by housekeeping, but they cleaned my room while I was away. Thank you for making my first trip to Richmond a great time.
- 4/5
The bathtub was chipped in 2 places. Our room had a pass through door and dogs were barking in the adjoining room. Our reservation made through Expedia didn’t come with the option to have our breakfast included with booking of the room.
- 5/5
The view was lovely, beautiful scenery!
- 4/5
Checked in late. Hotel electronic key did not work and had to be replaced. There were ants in the bedroom and the bathroom. shower dripped all night. other than that linens and bathroom were clean. Breakfast not included.
- 4/5
Excellent staff, clean. Delicious food.
- 4/5
Staff wonderful. Rooms worn and dated.
- 1/5
Bathroom was disgusting, and there was zero hot water in the shower or bath.
- 3/5
Great staff, the room was very clean… Hot water did not work the entire trip
- 3/5
I stay at this property often, typically it’s pretty great. The staff was great per usual, but for my entire three day stay I couldn’t get hot water in my room for a fully hot shower.
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and helpful! The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable
- 3/5
The property is going downhill. Overall, still a good and safe place to stay. Some updating and repairs would make a huge difference. A free breakfast would make it more comparable to the competitors.
- 5/5
Easy check-in. Quiet and clean
- 2/5
We were given a handicap room, was told it was all left. The sink drained very slowly, and had to be unstopped. Could not take a shower because water was cold. Was told there was problem with the plumbing. The linen looked dingy. Will not stay here again.
- 1/5
Our room was left open by the cleaning person. We were given a free breakfast to make up for it. Dinner was horrible so we didn’t even use the breakfast cards.
- 5/5
Everything went very well. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
The Staff was great
- 2/5
My room's shower leaked, had brown stains in it (what I hoped were just hard water stains). Floor in the bathroom had significant water damage. Tiles were popping off when you walk on them. Toilet had obviously leaked all over at some point judging by the janky caulk job at the base of the toilet. The facility seemed run down a bit. Missing ceiling tiles and what appears to be mold and leakage in the hallway just past the lobby. Despite all the issues, the hotel was safe, the bed was clean, comfy and quiet. I got a decent night's sleep (which is most important). The hotel had good coffee and a good breakfast buffet even though it's over priced. Be sure to buy the voucher/upgrade for $5 a person or it will cost you $16 each if you end up paying at the hotel. The staff were pleasant and tried to compensate for the room by giving me free snacks. My experience overall was just "ok". Probably wouldn't come back to this hotel or recommend it if you got other options. If you're in a pinch a need and need a spot to crash, then this will do just fine.
- 5/5
We stay here often snd it’s great for us. I would like to see that $50 credit hold credited back please.
- 2/5
When I checked into my room, the faucet in the bathroom was dripping consistently. When I called front desk, they advised "Unfortunately we don't have any other rooms so there's not anything we can do." I would have thought they would have at least sent a maintenance employee up to check it out and see if they could stop it.. There was also this orange stain in the bathroom that made me feel concerned that it wasn't cleaned. On top of that, there was kids running back and forth throughout the entire hotel including the hallways so that was super annoying hearing screaming and kids chasing each other. I've stayed at multiple Hiltons, and never that those experiences. I will say that the bed was super comfortable though.
- 3/5
I stay here frequently and enjoy it . The staff is amazing and the elevator that was out for 2 months is back up and running. Only issue this time were other guest and children. Very loud around the pool , no one from the staff to address and my laptop got wet while working.
- 1/5
The lift was not working and the room offered was on the fifth floor. The staff let us know that they could not communicate to us because we booked through Expedia. That was in my mind a couple out .customera should be treated consistently regardless of the channel used for booking. If not , close that channel. As a customer, I don't see any value booking through Expedia and also would hesitate to book at Hilton given how casually they blamed Expedia for the lack of communication and inconvenience caused.
- 1/5
Where do I begin? The tub faucet runs a solid steam of water, when in the off position, so the room has a free bonus water feature. The lady at the desk was sweet, but was fully aware and clear she was unable to do anything about it. If you get physical key cards at the desk- don't expect them to work - less than 1/6 of the cards for our large group worked. But don't worry, you can go back downstairs by taking the stairwells, exiting the building and walking around the EXTERIOR of the HILTON HOTEL to go to the front desk as the elevators are broken. The furniture is torn up, we actually took timestamp photos so we wouldn't be blamed! But for those of you who choose to book - just know here you have to request towels/trash service. This is no longer an automatic service- so if you know you're going to need towels, grab them before you hike around the building and up the stairs. Please be extra cautious as the exterior stairwell doors are not key cards protected/do not latch so if safety is a concern, you may want to look elsewhere. This hotel stay was an absolute disappointment and should never be considered or apart of the HILTON brand/reputation - do not be fooled, it may have the name but zero of the HILTON quality.
- 4/5
No working elevator
