Greenville Marriott

We did go up and look at the room. It seemed like it was well used and the sofa my daughter was to sleep on did not look clean. The biggest issue was the back door. We left through the back door and it had not been closed properly. Anyone could access through that door and that seemed very unsafe. There is no staff there to keep an eye on things. I personally would not recommend. It is a unique hotel, but needs some upkeep and safety is an issue unless the door has a mechanism to ensure it closes completely.

The staff was excellent and the shuttle service was very accommodating.

The staff during check-in were friendly and efficient. They even were able to add my stay to my Bonvoy, since I couldn’t due to my business trip being reserved via a 3rd party.

This is a great Marriott. The only complaint I have is when you’re on vacation, you want to be able to eat and drink coffee whenever and without leaving the hotel. There is no coffee after10am. So, this was disappointing, and food is only served specific times, but you can door dash, so this is the resolution.

Very outdated, could use some renovations

The airport shuttle arrived within 10 minutes of dispatch and the hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Room was very nice. I was charged twice for my stay even though I paid online and it took almost 7 days to refund my money after they finally realized the oversight!

Location is good. I've stayed here numerous times. The hotel is definitely showing its age. The rooms are outdated. Wall switches are halfway attached, and the carpet and the furniture look worn. The shower was pathetic. There was barely any water pressure. (on the 2nd floor) Not worth the money in my opinion.

Super strong and overpowering amount of air freshener in the room. I have stayed in this hotel probably 20 times and the deodorizer is always unpleasant but this time it was brutal. Severe headache, barely slept. Perhaps they could have some rooms without the smell. My sinuses are burnt from it.

Clean rooms, clean facility, issues dealt with in minutes, and a tasty breakfast buffet.

When we arrived at our appropriate check-in time, we were told that the hotel was inundated with too much traffic and we would not be able to get into our room for a few hours. This complicated our need to get dressed and ready for a football game.

Check in employee blocked two cards for incidentals when it should be one. Hotel is very old, breakfast has very limited choices for the price that you pay which is not included, wifi is not included

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Location was good. The property is reaching a point were it could use a refresh.

The only negative is that they don't have free wi-fi in the rooms anymore. Otherwise, its always a great stay any time we're in Greenville. Good restaurant and shuttle service are an important and appreciated bonus.

This Marriott is so nice. Very clean and a sophisticated look to it. Every staff member is pleasant and goes the extra step if you need anything. We’ve stayed there several times.

Was locked out of my room because of a dead battery on the lock. Maintenance did a great job and was very polite. However preventative maintenance should be done.

The man who checked us in was wonderful. He gave us special information regarding dining choices and made the trip special.

We stayed there one night, the next door guests were slamming the door, yelling at partying almost till 1AM. I'm like what's going on at at 4 star hotel. I'm never going to stay in this marriott ever again. Such a bad experience, I did inform the front desk while checking out, how bad it was.

Horrible. Misty smell, beds small, bugs in bed (not bed bugs). Water main broke while there and we weren't notified. I w brushed our teeth in brown water without knowing.

We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Good location with restaurant and bar. Easy and comfortable public lounging areas.

My bag was stolen in the fitness center and while there are cameras in the hotel management would not help me or tell me who stole the bag from the camera footage

easy check in and out, very friendly. comfortable and super clean. bed.. so good! I will stay again. better other I tried in the area! my only complaint- fire alarm 1 am on a bitter cold night at 1 am. I understand? vaping in room....i was exhausted, alarms did their job! we are all safe. I hope those in question understand how many people it impacted, including the team working that night!

Old and not clean!

Not enough towels in the bathroom. Never been in a hotel with so few towels. 2 bath, 1 hand towel, and no washcloth. Of course you can call but didn’t feel like it and you shouldn’t have to. Needed water and the vending machine didn’t work, lost my $2. Not sure I would stay again. I ended up carrying my two glasses down the haul to fill them at the ice machine.

Very pleased with the hotel! Very clean and the smell as you walk in the door was so pleasant. Staff were very nice! I would highly recommend staying here.

Check-in man was super friendly. However the night we checked in we had NO HOT WATER to take showers. Which was a much needed thing do to being in an ice rink for several hours. The next morning at breakfast the waitresses were extremely rude to my party. Waitress got our drinks and never came back. We found out we could have gotte. Omletes feom another parent in our team group

I was here during the power outage due to Hurricane Helene. The staff were amazing, professional and truly made a bad situation more bearable. 6 nights total and every time I had an interaction with staff they were so nice, even though many of them still didn’t have power at home.

They gave me a small room with 1 double bed and offered to put a single bed in it, but we didn't accept because there was almost no space in the room for it.

The property is an older Marriott but it appeared to well kept. I do think they should do some upgrade to the carpet because the room had a older smell. Overall was a nice stay and within reasonable distance.

The check in went great but we had to change rooms 2x overnight due to bugs on pillow/and clogged standing water in tub when taking shower, no tv services at all during the whole stay because it was raining. Not happy at all

Breakfast was very tasty! Staff were helpful. There should be signage that indicates that when taking the stairs the door exit at level 1 is an emergency exit only. Fix your elevator!!

The staff was great at check-in even though it was already Almost 11 PM however Upon check-in, we were told that to use Wi-Fi in our room we would have to pay $9.99 Since we were not Marriott members and we booked through a third-party site but we could use the free Wi-Fi in the lobby not the hotel was represented on Hotels.com that was inconvenient since we had a five-year-old who had been in the car all day and just wanted to watch one of his special shows and play his games on his tablet. Also, we had to change rooms because the floor in the bathroom and vanity area was soaking wet from, what we guess was a leak. Very accommodating and sent someone up with the key and took us to another room within 10 minutes

i loved this hotel. im 23 and it was my first ever business trip and i brought my brother (19) with me so i wouldnt be alone. this hotel is full of the nicest people i have ever met and it didnt seem like it was just customer service. it was like they really cared about my brother and i. special shoutout to marion and stella and leo.

The elevator has been broke for months. Extremely challenging to get up to your room or to the lobby. On check out day the staff began knocking on our door at 9am and continued several times until checkout at 11am.

Amazing time! We came for my son’s baseball tournament so we’d have a comfortable place to cool off in between games. The pool was amazing! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely stay again!

Was there on business with an associate staying in another room on another floor. Neither of us had good A/C and the room was too hot to sleep. Can tell this property is dated and need some mechanical updating.

They had good service but the hotel seemed a little run down and in need of maintenance. 6 of the 7 pieces of cardio equipment in the gym didn't function at all or properly. I also don't think any hotel should charge for WiFi these days.

I really liked the check in person. She was friendly and had a great, helpful attitude!

Not sure why there was a Courtyard Marriott right across the street from The Marriott, but The Marriott clearly was the nicer, higher quality property.

Stayed one night with a companion as part of BMW's delivery program. The property and staff were excellent. Rick, our driver from the airport, was amazing and super friendly. Dinner at the on site restaurant was delicious. I would definitely stay here again!

In general, my stay was good and the Marriott here was fine. Nice hotel with a decent restaurant and of course close to everything I needed for work. It bothered me a lot that I had to pay for Internet because I signed up through Expedia. I have never had that experience at any hotel before. In addition, the firewalls on my computer were going crazy when I was trying to sign up for the paid Internet. I had to go into advanced options just to get onto the Internet at the Greenville Marriott and they had to connect me with an IT department offsite just to sign in to the Internet. That was a very bad way to start my visit. Other than that, everything was fine. I would skip the restaurant though. It is overpriced, and the food is mediocre at best. The server was fabulous though.
