We enjoyed the Jazz Festival everything was within walking distance.

We loved our stay here for a show at the Peace Center. We parked the car when we got there and didn’t drive again until we left. The perfect location to walk everywhere in Greenville and would absolutely stay again!

Great location! Good breakfast. Parking was easy and inexpensive.

The property is centrally located The charge for the first night was very high. After all it is not a luxury hotel.

There were a lot of people making a lot of noise. It was not a good sleep. The room was fine. The door slamming constantly I was put on the same floor that there was a group large group meeting and I think most people were staying on the same floor.

Location was excellent. Very clean and comfortable! Valet service was very quick and efficient for downtown. Check-in was too slow because there was only one person on duty during prime check-in time. Breakfast was lacking, and items on the hot bar were not quickly refilled. Had to be somewhere at a certain time, so we had to go somewhere else to get a decent breakfast.

This was a one night stay on our way to Asheville. It was in a great location. Short walk to Main Street with all the shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed it. Would not hesitate to stay there again should we be in Greenville again.

This was our first trip to Greenville and this property met all our expectations. Especially noteworthy is its proximity to Falls Park, to the shops and eateries on the River Walk and So. Main Street, as well as the Center Stage Theater.

We loved our circular room! Such a unique layout with good views but lots of blackout curtains for restful sleep. The staff were kind and helpful, the valet was quick and courteous. The 24hr hot coffee and tea were a nice treat. Quick walk down the stairs to river front and all the restaurants and shops!

This is an older property that is well maintained and you can’t beat location in the middle of downtown Greenville. Walkable and lively yet the hotel is quiet and you can rest. Rooms are adequate. Not modern or renovated but clean. Toiletries are ok, internet worked well, front desk and valet were attentive. Good value downtown Greenville.

Clean rooms and breakfast was good, location was located close to everything, downtown, trails and the parks. If visiting Greenville I would recommend staying here.

The property is very clean and well kept. Our room was a simple two queen bed space and was pretty large. One gripe with that is that they could have added a sitting chair or small couch so that you did not have to sit on the bed to read or watch TV (there is one desk chair). The rooms have a small fridge, microwave and a clean well stocked bathroom. The free breakfast was good, with a hot egg dish, a meat dish and potatos. A waffle iron is provided as well as pre-made oatmeal and the assortment of breads. A city garage is located directly under the property, which costs $10 per day. There is no parking associated with the hotel. But they do offer a valet service for $18 perday. The city garage is very convenient and it makes it seem that it is part of the hotel. Free parking is pretty rare in any downtown hotel. All of the staff on our three day, two night stay were pleasant and helpful. This hotel is pretty expensive, as are all of the downtown properties. However, I would stay here again

Parking was perfect. We didn't move our car until time to come home. We stayed in a king circular room, and it was spacious and comfortable, even had an additional half bath. Breakfast offered many varieties and everything we had was delicious! We will defintely stay here again soon!

This is one of the nicest properties that we have stayed at in quite awhile. Great location. Great room accommodations. Grenville downtown is awesome with all that it has to offer.

The breakfast was fantastic. Hot protein options, fresh waffles and pastries, fruit, bread, juices, yogurt, variety of coffee/tea. Food area was clean, tables and seating area clean, comfortable, modern. Ms. Betty made sure everything was stocked, replaced, fresh and well kept. Very friendly and gave such personal and welcoming touch. The room was clean, comfortable and our view was lovely. Check in was easy and every staff member was accommodating and friendly. Parking garage was super convenient and reasonable. This will be my Greenville go to!!

AC sounded like a jackhammer, bed was terrible, hair everywhere room wasn’t clean, vibrator in the bed, extremely overpriced for what it is.

We had a river view room and enjoy watching the geese and enjoying the beautiful view. The convenience of walking to many great restaurants and being steps away from the river walk was awesome.

Showed up in Greenville around 1 PM and was able to check in early. The hotel its self had easy accessible city parking under the building. The room was clean and elegant with a beautiful view of the river and downtown Greenville.

The room was clean and the shower was a nice size, did not feel cramped. The bed was comfortable, however the pillows were small and not very comfortable. The breakfast was okay, seemed kida cheap for the type of hotel. We did enjoy the closeness to downtown and that everything was in walking distance.

Really nice hotel breakfast and breakfast area is really low but the location you’re walkable to all things downtown. Rooms are nice with balcony. Bring back social hour and update the breakfast and you’ll be on par with Embassy suites next-door.

Front desk claimed they couldn't find 2 rooms and blamed this on Expedia. Required me to purchase another room and charged me for 2 nights plus incidentals. He realized his mistake later and reversed charges but I have to wait for the refund to clear. Totally unnecesary.

Room was substandard. Maybe because I booked through 3rd party. The wall thermostat was broken and only the floor unit worked. It was very loud when running. It did not have a Smart TV. Every hotel I have stayed always have a TV that you can access Netflix. We missed the Christmas Football games from the comfort of our hotel room. The curtain was top was hanging. It was one of the rooms they give 3rd party bookings. The restaurant was very good but a little pricey.

The location was great and the hotel was clean and our room was fairly spacious but nothing about this hotel warranted the high price we paid. The hotel I wanted to book was full so we tried the Hampton but no comparison to Spring Hill Suites downtown.

Cons: Water pressure in shower is abysmal. Must pay for parking in city garage, upside is it’s only 7 dollars for 24 hours if you’re a guest.

Really great location and staff was kind. However, the breakfast did not any bread/waffle/bagel nor cereal options for gluten free. The staff said the oatmeal was gluten free but it isn't because I checked the brand.

And, all this in walking distance from beautiful downtown Greenville. Definitely will stay here again!!

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Nearly all of downtown was within walking distance. Our room far exceeded our expectations and our stay in Greenville was the highlight of a multi-leg vacation.

I love staying here when I come to Greenville. It is in the most perfect location and has great views of the city and river. The rooms are nice and clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff are always so nice and helpful.

From checking in with Joby she was able to tell me where to eat, where to go where breakfast was without hesitation. I had a few quick conversations with Henry and even called and told him I would be checking in late due to traffic he assured me it was nothing to worry about he would note it in the system. Felicia was such a sweet spirit, I left my hat behind and she called me back and said not to worry I will get it back. Dana in the breakfast area was a sweetheart the 2 days I spoke to them. My experience with the entire staff was 100% everyone served with excellence I will be back

Enjoyed the view from the balcony. Room was very clea. Comfortable bed. Private and comfortable seating areas in lobby for getting work done and making calls. Appreciated valet parking and walking distance to so many good restaurants.

I had a meeting with my clients and they planned a dinner afterwards to celebrate my birthday. I booked this hotel. In the night the air conditioner broke and it sounded like something was blowing up in my room. I got up and turned it off quickly my room got very hot as it was July, but it was the middle of the night so I thought I would wait till the next morning when I checked out to tell them and they would credit my room back, they said they couldn’t and they gave me a bottle of water and a granola bar sadly unacceptable.

This was an ideal location. Close enough to Main Street without being right in the heart of it. The river and riverwalk right outside the door, with the Falls Park right around the corner....and superior food options, all within walking distance of 10 minutes or less. Can't wait to go back, wonderful weekend getaway destination!

The hotel was lovely and in a walkable area to numerous restaurants, shops, and bars. The service was friendly, the room was clean, and it was easy to park. The only downside was the small area for breakfast; there were many guests trying to enjoy the continental breakfast, however the area was small and crowded, turning me away. I would definitely visit again.

From our arrival toour departure the staff was friendly and helpful. The only complaint would be terrible water pressure in the shower. No matter, when it dribbles out.

When we arrived on Saturday afternoon, the woman working the reception area was rude to me upon check in and was rude again when I asked her a question that evening about whether there was a outdoor seating area at the hotel. When people spend their hard earned money, they expect kindness at the very least from facility employees.

I would most definitely recommend this hotel as it provided a quaint experience of convenient naturistic walking trails and walkable shopping and dining options.

Hotel was great but Vallet lost the keys to my brand new Mercedes. Vallet was a contractor that the hotel used. I was stranded for 2 extra days trying to get a new key. Such a nightmare.

The clean area and friendly staff were a high poont of my stay. They were so knowledgeable and polite.

Having previously worked in a five star resort, I can say that this property was top notch. I’m a hotel snob and there was nothing that I would suggest for improvements. Very clean, nice breakfast and the bed was so comfy. When others reviewed their stay, they commented on the $25 fee for valet parking. If you stay at any hotel in a downtown area, where parking is limited, you will likely pay more than $25. So I did not have an issue with this. We absolutely loved staying here!! I highly recommend!

Conveniently located close to picturesque Reedy Falls, the Hampton Inn Riverplace is clean. The included breakfast offered a good variety of hot and cold foods. Coffee was available in the lobby all the time.

Cons- Room was not clean. Bed comforter had stains and bathroom/desk counter areas were spotty. Staff was very accommodating however and they took care of this promptly. Breakfast included was below par for what you would expect for this type of hotel.

Perfect place to stay for a short trip to GVL. The location is amazing and I was able to walk everywhere I needed to go. Easy access to restaurants, shops and there’s a Publix 10 mins away (and a CVS less than 10 mins away). Loved being right next to the river and Main Street. You need to sign up for a Hilton account for WiFi or else you have to pay, otherwise no complaints at all! The staff was so nice and I would absolutely stay here again.

Very convenient to the area!

Asheville is very "Dog Friendly" and so was this Hotel/Suite. The rooms were clean and the balcony we had, looked over a portion of "The Reedy" River. Shops and Restaurants were walkable and we were literally a block away from the walking trails around the River. Wish we would have brought our bikes....next time!

The check in was very smooth. They allowed to let us check in early. Unfortunately, the mattress cover was dirty. The king sheet was stained and only came down about 2 inches on the side thus it kept coming off. I pulled all the bedding off when we were leaving to encourage the staff to replace everything. The air conditioner was blowing like a gale force wind all night right on my face. I had to get up and put a towel on the vent to try to limit the impact.

Furthermore, the dining room was so unpleasant because freezing cold, that we had to take out breakfast out to tables in the hallway to eat. Hampton Inn should reconsider this policy.

The location right by the river was great. The room was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. I wish the water pressure was higher in the shower though. The included breakfast was one of the best ones ever offered by a hotel. If we ever go back to Greenville SC I would definitely stay there again!

We loved the round suite. Very spacious and quiet. However, the only problem was the bed was rather uncomfortable.

We loved the spacious circular room. Breakfast and coffee each day and a fabulous location made for a wonderful getaway! The hotel is on the Reedy River Falls Park and so many restaurants are a short walk away. We parked our car in the city garage attached to the hotel for only $7 per night. We will definitely stay here again.

This is truly a great spot. It’s right on the river, feels brand new, everything is spotless, rooms are well appointed, the staff couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating, and you can walk to all of the great restaurants…. and Greenville is a beautiful friendly adorable city.

The service was wonderful including the valet service. We were staying there to be close to Greenville Hospital for an early surgery. As promised our car was out front as we needed it early. Front desk held the keys. The hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Greenville SC area.

Stay was fine - hotel manager couldn't answer questions. In fact she wouldn't stop talking and listen to my question. She continued to filibuster until I gave up and walked away. I found her highly unprofessional and unwilling to even listen to my question and continuously interrupted. She refused to allow me to speak. I'll stay somewhere else next time.

We absolutely loved our 3-night stay at Hampton RiverPlace and how we were able to easily park on Friday and not have to drive anywhere again until we checked out on Monday. The location is perfect for walking to the Falls, the Peace Center, coffee shops, restaurants (both casual and fancier), shops and a drug store. Every staff member we talked to was friendly, helpful and would remember something about us when we saw them again. Breakfast was surprisingly good - don’t miss the Western omelets! - with lots of options including eggs, sausages, potatoes, make your own waffles, yogurt, fruit, etc. It was so good we ended up cancelling one of our brunch reservations! We had a riverview king room and the view was amazing with windows in two directions to watch people and dogs walk by the river, the bed was comfy, the room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was great, with really nice amenities. We can’t wait to come back!
