Miramar Inn

Property is small but rooms are big and nice and clean. Bed was sooo comfy. Walking distance from the beach and some restaurants.

Our only complaint, if it's a complaint - really a whine. Our continental breakfast fixings were all over at the companion hotel - Quality Inn. AND there is only one clerk (at the Quality Inn) to serve both places. Hmmmm....not ideal.

No comment everything was good, the only thing is the walking distance to get the breakfast.

Stayed here several times in the past. Always enjoyed our stay. Staff was very nice and professional when we checked in. Very accommodating as well. Room was very clean and fresh. We will continue to stay here in the future.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. We did have to check in with the hotel next door but that was not a big deal. The room was spacious and clean. They offered a continental breakfast which was your basic choices but that was also fine with us as well. It's right off of highway 1 but we couldn't hear any traffic. We could hear the ocean which was really nice. The only complaint we had was our room had automatic lights so when my boyfriend got up to use the restroom at night, the entire room lit up and then the same thing happened when I got up to use the restroom, so we woke each other up a couple of times. We did not bring it up to staff which was our bad. Maybe on our next stay. Overall, we had a good stay, and we would stay there again.

Should have been less expensive. Only about 1/3 full. Said last room on site? Had to checkin at neighbor hotel? Price should be abour$100.

Had Cereal, coffee and yogurt available for breakfast. Place was really clean, however the bed was terrible, extremely uncomfortable.

Electrical connection was inadequate. There were no suitable connection near the bed. Also lighting near the bed was redundant. Instead of table lamps or something similar, there was recessed lighting in the ceiling that was better suited for a hallway and not a bedroom.

Super friendly/helpful staff. Large room: clean, well appointed (fridge/microwave), looked recently painted and bathroom seemed recently remodeled. Easy location and parking. Only real demerit is continental breakfast: basically just cold cereal, some oranges, oatmeal packets and single-packaged danishes (very good coffee machine though) - some hot food and lower sugar options would uplift this...but this is really the only (and relatively small) issue with an otherwise very good stay in a very clean and well equipped room. Would stay there again.

The only problem I have is you could do much better on your breakfast. Such as other places I stay at with hot eggs. Can I meet toast? Waffles cyril just doesn't cut it.

What I didn't like was the lighting in the room and bath. Very bright lights throughout. No dimmer switches.

Checked in for two nights for my bday. Made sure to out in comments I needed a bottom floor room due to medical reasons. Lady at desk stated they didn’t have one anymore and that I would be on the second floor with no elevators. Not ok. Room was outdated and dusty. The shower had the worst water pressure and the tub was chipped. Carpet needs replacing badly. When time to check out, I was so exhausted from going up and down those stairs that I barely made the drive home. Not a great birthday at all. Live and learn I guess.

a place to sleep..too late of a check in time..

Frustrated that the TV was difficult to get working. Finally got it on, but then the connection was bad, so the TV images kept dropping out. Otherwise, the rest of the stay was ok.

Sheet metal screws in the threshold to the bathroom. My granddaughter cut her foot red is we got here. Water is barely lukewarm complained he said oh that's hot. When to turn the light on it was unplugged there's no cover on the plugin. I checked the knob to turn the light on and off was missing

No tv, no fitted sheet on the bed, no lamps on the tables (just harsh overhead lighting), did not look like the pictures I saw online. It was weird. It wasn’t terrible for a space to stay one night but I wished I had paid more to stay elsewhere.

Large room, furniture was a bit worn and a weird lump under carpet near the sink but it was located well, comfortable and suited us old folks fine. Manager was very helpful and kind.

Pet friendly and great location in Half Moon Bay

After 9:00, there's nowhere to eat close by. I had to go to Safeway to pick something up. Also, on Tuesday morning, the lobby did not open or serve the continental breakfast as promised.

The Miramar is a nice place to stay. It was difficult for my wife and I as we are in our mid 70’s with physical restrictions and had a room on the second floor with no elevator. It was very difficult getting our luggage up a down the stairs.

1st room we checked into TV didn’t work. Was moved to another room, tv would work, but had to be turned on and off manually and volume the same. Shower was very slow to drain as well. Was standing in a few inches of water before shower was over.

Room was big, but no smart TV or USB plugs. Just ok, not great.

The property is okay but the bathroom is very small and could stand an upgrade. Tile on bathroom floor looked old in places. Also, the coffee/hot water machine in breakfast area was broken and we were told it had been that way for a while. So no coffee or tea. Front door was misaligned so gaps were evident in different places. On the bright side, it was quiet, clean, good selection on tv, and a very good Chinese restaurant a couple buildings down you could walk to. Also, close to good breakfast spots on Hwy 92.

The room itself was fine, but the road noise necessitated ear plugs. The continental breakfast was rough.

Room was much more spacious than it appeared in the pictures. The bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. It was quiet too. Just a bit of barking from a beighbors dog, but very minimal. Good shower pressure and i liked that the mirror and sink were seperate from the shower and toilet. We were very happy with our room at the lady at the front desk was very sweet. Would definitely stay here again.

The Miramar Inn is a place I have stayed many times over the years. My favorite place in HALF Moon Bay.

We stay here often. It is a good value compared to other lodging in Half Moon Bay. Rooms are clean and our King bed came with 5 pillows. Continental breakfast offered complementary included yogurt, several cereals, juice, prepackaged danish and coffee. The mattresses are pretty hard. I wish they had pillow top mattresses like they do at another motel nearby.

It was a very nice and clean property and the room itself was outstanding in my view.

Wall-to-wall carpet in front of the bathroom sink- yuck! Ceiling paper thin, could hear the conversation and snoring from couple above. Toilet flush and shower powerful and as loud as a rocket blast-off. Breakfast area extremely small. Continental breakfast on the lower side of average, as in plastic wrapped danishes

Easy drive into downtown. Quick and safe 10 munute walk to the beach and Coastal path. Clean room. Breakfast had limited options but it was adequate.

My wife had a slip in the bathtub shower. After careful review, I looked at the bathroom conveniences. Nowhere did I find a bathtub mat to lay down on the surface of the tub. When the tub surface in Room 209 is wet, there is ZERO grip on the surface. When a shift in position occurs, the bottom of both feet will slip out from underneath the resident. This is a very dangerous condition to put a resident in. I am only speaking for this room, # 209.

The property was partially updated, however, the the toilet and tub space had cracked floor tile and a very old shower head. Overall it was satisfactory and staff were friendly.

This property is what I expected so I am a satisfied customer. The facility is older but well kept. It is very clean and the host was gracious.

Failure to disclose that charge is very troublesome to me. There was no need for such a deposit as my credit card was presented at time of check-in Also, there was no reply to 2 emails sent requesting early checkin and complaining about $100 deposit charge. Finally, TV remote control in my Rm 209 did not work and had to have it replace.

Didn't feel the accommodation were aligned with tye rate paid.

It was a decent place. Good for sleep. We stayed the night there so we can play golf at the old course and ocean course.

Great for work trip. Restaurants very close.
