Only thing that was a slight bummer was the shower head, it needs an upgrade. Otherwise we were very happy! Great restaurants steps from the property, seriously like 350 feet away, location wa s perfect!

We loved our stay at Oceano! The rooms were very clean, staff was pleasant & helpful. Our room included a balcony with a view of the bay & we really enjoyed spending time out there!

Spacious room, overlooking the harbor. The spa was a real treat. Parking was easy and the town itself is very cute. We will definitely consider a return visit. The only amenity that was just so-so was the restaurant, but there are a lot of good eating establishments locally.

The room was spacious and very nice. We loved the balcony. Nice view of the harbor. Comfortable beds. Great bathroom. We liked the two TV's. The fitness center was 82 degrees, all 3 days we were there. The food at your restaurant was not great (a Caesar salad with no Romain lettuce or croutons, and clam chowder that was just OK). The toilet paper needs to be double ply not single. You need to have paid movies available with no commercials.

We paid a lot more than we usually do for a hotel, so our expectations were high as well. The location was perfect. The staff, decor and cleanliness made our stay enjoyable. We were surprised that we had to go through the underground parking lot or take a very circuitous route around the property to get from our room to the lobby, fitness center and restaurant. While the loft is airy and attractive, be prepared to go up and down a large staircase from the bed to the bathroom.

It is beautiful and so close to the beach I liked everything

I will continue to be a regular guest when I come to town. Steve at bar downstairs is a gem, however, given I stay for weeks at a time, it is a bit inconvenient that the bar/restaurant is only open Thurs to Sun and closes quite early in the evening. I can live without room service, but after a long day, it would nice to grab a bite.

Room 324, At night the bright lights from the Half Moon Bay Brewery parking lot shines into the room from the uncovered upper windows all night lighting up the whole room. The couch was as hard as a rock causing back aches

The Hotel has a great view of the ocean! It has a welcoming vibe. The rooms are clean. I highly recommend it.

Don't stay here on a Saturday night. 8-11pm is pounding loud: like vibrating walls and they know it: otherwise there wouldn't be earplugs on the nightstand in each room.

Excellent restaurants within walking distance. Bar area has some food and excellent staff. I would recommend bringing your own body lotions and maybe soap or body wash for the bathtub because they only have shampoo, condition, and body wash in bottles on the wall in the shower and at the sink.

This is a comfortable hotel in a great location. Seriously how could they not have shades on the upper windows? We had a king suite and the light from these huge upper windows come in the room at 6:30am. What is the point of having curtains on the lower windows at all? Based on this we will never come back although everything else was very enjoyable. But seriously, vacation is supposed to be relaxing and sleeping in.

Stayed for a night with my family and it's our 1st time in this hotel. We love the ambiance in the front desk and upto going up to the room. In our room has the double bed suite with the harbor view is so relaxing. The bathroom is clean and the bed is comfortable but I noticed their some mosquito flying and biting me around the couch area. I am very sensitive to mosquito biting that makes me uncomfortable. But without that problem I will come back here. It's surrounded with awesome restaurants and we loved it. I will still try to give it a chance and we will come back, hopefully no more mosquitoes.

The staff was above & beyond helpful and friendly. Our room exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed using the relaxing bathtub every night, fireplace and lounging in our robes with a beautiful view.

Great location - walkable to many local places. We booked an ocean view room and had to go to the balcony and look left to see the water (room 316) - we had a view of the parking lot. When we asked, the staff told us we had an ocean view! The hotel is tired and the furnishings are dated. Definitely not worth $400/night.

Our view of the ocean was nice, but between the room and the ocean there is a brewpub which has music on until 9pm (the night we stayed, a weekday). Though no music is heard inside the room with windows closed, and the volume not excessive, it kind of detracts from the enjoyment of the otherwise nice balcony. Minor but since I need to write about what I didn't like...

This is our consecutive stay at Oceano’s, we love staying there! Great service, clean rooms and overall such a great experience.

Location, view, cleanliness. The body lotion bottle is toooo hard to squeeze. We were in room 325 and the glare of the sun was blinding when it came through the top window - maybe consider a shade.

A spectacular room with a beautiful western view, a fireplace and large bathroom. Instructions from the parking garage to the third floor were not very clear but we eventually found our room. Also, I found the robes after we had spent the night as they were stored in a dresser drawer.

Love the vibe of the room: the colour scheme, the artwork and the vintage design. Many thoughtful details like fireplace, lighting and the bedding. Definitely will come back again.

We’ve stayed here a few years ago, and loved it. Made a return when in the area for a Stanford visit. For such an expensive hotel, I expect more. The hotel is beautiful, the room is very spacious with a phenomenal ocean view and balcony. But, there are no amenities to speak of. No gym, no pool, no complimentary continental breakfast/evening beverage. The towels are thin. The TP is inferior. Most importantly, the majority of the staff at the front desk are not friendly. I’ve had to go to the front desk a few times during our stay, and other than this evening, have received a very casual response from the employees. Almost as though they do not want to speak to me. This evening, tho, I had to request replacement keys and was graciously greeted and accommodated. She even offered additional water for my frig! (Th. 1/15 at 5-ish p.m.)

All of the above. The staff was outstanding from check in to assistance during our stay to the wait staff in the Bar and Grill. We stayed 5 nights The hotel itself is stunning, has such a comfortable relaxing feel. Rooms were perfect, view of the harbor was beautiful and even the wet weather we had was beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel for family, business, special occasions- I know this will be our ‘go to’ for the Bay Area! Thank you!

Love this hotel!

The bathrooms in the rooms offer next to no privacy as the bathroom and bedroom are separated by shutters. Cute idea, but you hear EVERYTHING that's happening in the bathroom, especially the super loud flush from the toilet. With that said, we had some water on our patio that needed to get shop vacuumed and they had someone at our room in maybe 10 minutes which was great! The room itself was super clean.

We visited during a storm. Most of surrounding area lost power, they provided a lantern for us incase of power outage. Thankfully it was not needed. rooms are large with gad fireplace and nice seating area.

The room was outstanding. Everything was clean and spacious. The Hotel is conveniently located next to very nice eating establishments an a nice hiking experience can be enjoyed around the hotel and marina.

Room had bath towels on the floor to cover the draft coming in from the patio doors. Should be an actual draft protection, not showing that bath towels are used this way. Or a better weather stripping on the bottom of the patio doors.

The Hotel from the lobby to the room was lovely and spotless! Every staff member was gracious and professional.

The room was actually pretty and clean and staff was pleasant. Unfortunately the walls are very thin and they have a bunch of tech bros at conferences yelling and making it difficult to sleep. I also could hear snoring in the room next door. If you’re a light sleeper it’s not a place for you.

I was unhappy that the cups in the room were all paper/plastic - it is much nicer and more eco friendly to use glass/ceramic cups and glasses.

the stay was really enjoyable--i enjoyed having to go to the front desk at least once per day because my key was demagnetized multiple times. I enjoyed housekeeping banging on my door at 9am on Saturday. I enjoyed having to wrangle all my luggage at check in and check out. easy parking--it's all self park.

The place was absolutely beautiful! The staff was super friendly and very helpful. My boyfriend and I got couples massages at the spa and it was SO relaxing. The weather was slightly cold, and foggy, it was perfect to escape the Sacramento heat. The food places were within walking distance and tastes great! My only complaint is there is no complimentary breakfast but we ordered room service one night and the Caesar salad was delicious.

Great place to stay. With not much to do in this town, there were plenty of walkable food/drink options. Mezza Luna cafe was wonderful to grab coffee or a quick breakfast. Hotel bar was comfy and inviting. Alex, the bar tender, was great! They had bath bombs at the front desk which was awesome. Free parking and super convenient.

No bell captain available. The hotel is definitely self-serve, which was great in terms of parking--no cost. The spa steam room experience was well worth the visit. The staff was kind and friendly. Great massage therapists--definitely worth the service. I would come back for sure. This was a value stay.

Excercise equipment not in good shape many were broken and workout room was HOT. Would stay there again. But for the price I’d expect a bit better kept workout equipment.

Enjoyed free onsite parking, great customer service, and spacious room. Only set back was loft did not have an air conditioning vent so on a hot day, was difficult to cool. However, staff brought up an oscillating fan to use.

Perfect location. Have stayed many times and will always go back. HMB brewing company within walking, great biking trail, kayaks and coffee shop. Everything you need for a 2 day stay. The hotel is really nice as are the staff. Only complaint is that the rooms need a little care. Not one of us had a decent pillow. All the bedding needed an upgrade. Might have just been unlucky. Always had a good experience before and would go back.

Océanos is an excellent Hotel and Spa. The Spa was wonderful, it was clean, relaxing and the staff was wonderful as it was the staff at the Hotel. They all were friendly, helpful and very profesional. The installations were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I would go back anytime.

Television reception subpar and frustrating for elderly

A clean, comfortable property with a luxury resort feel, yet reasonably priced for a harbor-view hotel in California in June. Our room was very spacious, with a kitchenette, a large bathroom, a patio, a fireplace, and a great view of Pillar Point Harbor.

We were only there for overnight. The room was clean and comfortable but nothing special. We didn't have an opportunity to try any other offerings of the resort. Its proximity to the harbor and local restaurants was a plus. Good food choices nearby.

It is a nice property, beautiful ocean views. As i was ready to go to bed i found a huge spider under the sheets. Went to front desk but the teenagers hired there did nothing to correct the issue. I was talking to one of the girls and she completely ignored me. I got a call from them around 10 pm only after they received my first review from Expedia. I work in customer service too and i usually don't like to complain, but those people at the front desk need training how to handle different situations. They were not able even to get a flashlight for me or some sort of bug spray to spray around the bed. Too bad, its a beautiful property...

The room and facility were beautiful however for the price we thought the restaurant and bar could have been open as we were there at dinner time. This could have been brought up when we checked in. Also the other shops there were not open. View from balcony was very pretty.

Pleasant stay. The spa, which is in a different location from the hotel, was totally booked by the time of our arrival. That was disappointing. Tide pool exploration was very close, which was nice.

Some subtle and not so subtle outdated features about the room. We don't come to watch TV, but it was tiny and far away. Awkward sink and faucet in bathroom. Stained sheets and comforter. Dirty vents. Poor job laying tile/flooring, it was loose and slid in multiple spots. The guy at the front desk was really nice. A delivery or garbage truck was soo loud both mornings around 5am, seemed to last for an hour but I'm sure it wasn't. Nice to have a tiny fridge and microwave. Again, take advantage of that ocean and view!

Excellent place to stay. We were lucky to get the king villa. awesome staff and they had great coffee and they had coffee mate too . We had so much coffee there and lots of food options around. Beaches are there in both directions. They would help with water and coffee refill on a regular basis, it was stress free and our place was above the garage. I didn’t worry about my kids running around the place. We had a patio too. It was really spacious and kids had a lot of fun.I would love to come back again.

We booked a 2 double bedroom suite with a sofa for $319 thinking it would be a pull-out bed like all other hotels but we have to pay $399 for a "villas" instead that had an actual pull-out sofa however it was in older part of hotel and much dirtier with grungy carpets. To top it off AC/Heater is not powered so they gave us a small portable heater for a 2-level condo. It had a lovely gas fireplace but it does keep us warm😪
