The check-in staff was not overly friendly. We were also put in the first room off the office and could walk directly into the lobby - not ideal. The lobby and our bathroom smelled strongly of industrial cleaner. Not bad otherwise.

We booked this stay at the last minute while on the road. The staff were very friendly. The room was big and well appointed. We particularly enjoyed the real kitchenware. The shower never produced hot water for me.

I like how clean my room was, the dishwasher, the big fridge, and the stovetop! There is a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee filter for the coffee grounds. I asked for extra blankets and you guys were not able to provide any. There was no sponge for the sink to wash the dishes and no extra toilet paper in the room. the hallway had a nasty smell the first two days.

Close to JMU and walking distance to restaurants and convenient stores. Hotel very clean.

The place was clean and well-maintained. My 3 nights th-7 ere were pleasant. I chose the hotel for the price, and it was as good or better in some ways than a more expensive hotel. I had a room with a kitchen, but didn't end up using anything but the refrigerator. They have free 24/7 coffee, which is nice.

large room, very nice,clean and comfortable I was impressed with the size of the refrigerator and freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Beds were the best. Wish that there was a contental breakfast.

Very clean and well kept rooms. The staff were all very friendly and loved seeing dogs walcomed on the property!!! It was so easy to get to and leaving to get on the highway was a breeze. All around amazing stay!

It took four different rooms to find one that didn't have this horrible extremely strong smell. We had to open the window in the first room and then our sinuses burned and started coughing bad. I complained to the front desk and they had me check out three other rooms and the last room was the one we were finally able to accept even the girl said it's very strong smell and thought maybe it was a room deodorizer but it was not. We will never be able to stay at a candlewood again because she said that all places have that smell terrible and I'm sure poisonous.

It’s wonderful to have a full well stocked kitchen with a dishwasher. The recliner and side table makes it easy to relax. Mattress was excellent! Clean hotel, helpful staff, quiet location away from main road.

Everything was perfect. The receptionist was welcoming. We stayed here 2 separate nights. We’ll stay again when traveling this route.

Enjoyed our stay for a wedding in the area. The room was very nice, clean and convenient for our event. Eventho’ there were quite a lot of ppl staying there, it was very quiet all night, except for a train going by in the early a.m. Oh well could be a worse thing!

Good amenities, although the microwave had no power. Big fridge. Very big TV. Nice recliner in room. Shower didn't drein fast enough. We were always standing in a half inch of water during shower.

This was an amazing place to stay. Rooms are very nice. Beds are very comfortable. It's in an amazing location for food and shopping. We came to do some things at JMU and it was close to JMU. Definitely will stay here again.

This has been my favorite place to stay in Harrisonburg. I love having the kitchenette and a decent size fridge. Rooms are spacious. Super close to lots of food options, shopping, and JMU. Will stay here every time I am staying in Harrisonburg, and there is availability.

1st room in front of front desk is noisy everything else was great..would stay again.

Our room had no chairs or a couch at all…just a big empty space. No art on the walls, no rug… very sterile and boring. I had to call the front desk for towels….none were provided. Lamps did not work so I had to call again. Then we found out the power cord had been unplugged. Location was good, lobby nice, but awful room and parking situation.

Excellent all the way around. Very clean and wonderful ammenties in room, body wash, soap (superior). Definitely stay again!

The room was fine.. cheaply renovated, but fine. The main issue that was awful was that the A/C unit was in the L/R, and there was a 10” fan in the wall meant to pull the air into the bedroom! Room was hot as heck unless door was left open and LR had to be ice cold to make it to bedroom. Shower clean but all floors were dirty.

We only stayed one night in this hotel on our way home. We found the hotel a great deal for the cost. The hotel is clean and close to a large number of dining options. The front desk associates were helpful and very friendly. If we pass though the area again I would use this hotel again

Nice, Big room. Clean with comfortable beds

The first night the 3rd floor neighbors stomped around the floor for hours, but quieted down later. The next door neighbors had their base music loud enough to come through our walls. But they too quieted down later. The second night was noise free. Can't blame the hotel, just inconsiderate neighbors. The place was clean, well stocked kitchen, nice bathroom and appeared to be refurbished . Will stay again.

Hotel was updated. Bathroom and kitchen area was done well. There was a smell both in the hallways and in the rooms. I am not sure what the smell was but it was strong and affected my sleep.

What was upsetting was the parking lot noise in the evening, which Candlewood condones. The hotel needs to set strict time limits for outside and inside noise.

I was only there to sleep because I had a tournament. Over all everything seemed very nice and clean.

Parking for a 26' moving truck and a 20' moving truck with a car hauler was cirtually nil.

It was a nice stay. The staff were great! The only issues were that the rooms were a little humid (even with the fan and air on high) and the tv was not connected to the internet, so we could only access the cable. The remote was difficult to flip through channels.

The lighting in the room was unbearably bright; otherwise everything was fine. Seems insanely overpriced but was the cheapest I could find in Harrisonburg.

Absolutely flawless

The staff were all super kind and accomodating. I found the hotel and the room to be very clean, as well as the linens. The only few cons: I found it not really soundproof. You can hear pretty much everything from the surrounding rooms. As well, don't get.a room on the ground floor next to the parking where you will no doubt be bothered by the rumbling of loud cars 😅

I have to say it wasn’t the cleanest place. We checked in on Friday and Sunday when we left the same red stuff that was on the elevator button was still there so I know they’re not cleaning. The hand sanitizer around the place was always empty. We were stuck on the elevator, and when we called the call button the front desk, the staff did not seem happy with us because then the elevator had to be reset but that’s not our fault. The elevator wouldn’t go anywhere. There were some people there partying in their trucks out in the parking lot Friday night. Our room was at least decent.

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in Harrisonburg on trips down to see our son. This property by far was the cleanest and most comfortable I’ve stayed at to date. For sure will stay again.

This should be the standard that all others follow. Very sensitive to the needs of their patrons. So nice to be able to cook in your own room- 2 burner cooktop, fridge, microwave, sink, a good supply of dishes, even a dishwasher and paper towels!! All this for a price of a regular room!! Very clean, comfortable, modern- but not too modern. Beds and pillows were very comfortable!! Highly satisfied!!

What I liked about the room with it was like the pictures that's about all I can say. Things I did not like about this property and hotel was that it was hard to figure out how to work the remote the TV was so loud I couldn't turn out the volume at all I couldn't change any of the channels at all. Other things I noticed was on the third floor and the second floor there was multiple bags of trash and also several areas outside tons of trash bags around the trash cans I had noticed that nobody cleaned it up by the next day before I left That's what seemed trashy about the hotel. Another thing was the fact that there was no luggage carts available when I was checking in so I had to wait a while before somebody brought one back but the next day was fine I was able to get a luggish cart to pack up my stuff in my car. I like candlewood suites but I think I won't be staying here again ever

Nicely renovated. Our room was clean (except for 2 coffee cups were dirty). Lots of pillows, space in the room and comfortable beds.

Good coffee, clean and great layout of room. My only complaint was the TV service. The TV guide indicated “no information” for every channel. I had to click on a channel and wait for it to load too see what was on that channel. I could not get the TV volume control to work on the remote. Very frustrating.

Such a nice room with kitchenette and coffee in common area. Complimentary laundry and great large TV and cold air conditioner and hot shower! Need luggage holders to make it more perfect! Friendly staff, great treadmill in exercise area, though there were not many machines. Nice stay.

I reserved an accessible room and didn't not receive one. Apparently the hotel only has one and the previous night's guest had not vacated the room. I was traveling with my 92 year old grandmother. This was a major inconvenience.

I saw several interactions between staff that I would consider unprofessional behavior/uncomfortable behavior. My room had a strange smell which could’ve been from the new furniture, but I couldn’t quite place it. The room was clean and there was ample parking.
