The pool and spa were nice. The fire features were warm and pretty

I had to ask multiple times for towels, toilet paper and sheets to be changed. I was told a manager would call me. That never happened.

We have terrible experience first room the sofa bed wasn’t working we had came from theme park, we were tired and when we tried used it didn’t opened and didn’t have a mattress the rude lady at front desk told I have to option move to another room in another floor or stay there it was almost 11pm and also take long to bring the other key for the other room. Also the handle from the bathroom floor was broken. The new room wasn’t really clean and the sofa bed mattress was like broken or something had a bump and was uncomfortable to sleep . I do not recommend for families and for the price the rooms are not worth.

This place is in a great location. We enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the cleanliness of the room. It had everything we needed!

We enjoyed our quick stay in our suite. We really had a great stay other than the fact that we had activities set up all weekend and came back to our room and there was no maintenance done. They did leave a sign that it was done every other day and we stayed there 3 night and no days was maintenance done to our room within our stay. Other than this issue, we had a good stay.

Staff was accommodating and let us check in early. The room was spacious and clean. Free breakfast every morning was really nice to have. We definitely will stay here again. The only thing kind of “bad” thing I have to say is i had to call 4 times before I had someone answer the phone.

The breakfast needs more hot options. There was also not enough food for everyone even an hour before breakfast was supposed to end.

I was upset during my stay at the Towne Place Suites by Marriott as well as my flight being delayed, and our rental car situation. When I arrived at Towne Place Suites i was placed in rooms 281, the refrigerator wasn’t working and had a smell, 380, had a bad smell and the Tv was cricket, 480, same bad smell as room 380, and then was placed in 465. We were tired so we just accepted the last room and stayed. During our stay i asked a number of 4 time I called first, and went to the desk three time asking for towels that morning, and didn’t receive them until later that evening. When I returned to my room later that evening the towels were sitting on the bed. I think your staff need changing because when I got there I had to wait for fifteen minutes because no one was at the front desk when I arrived. I did however book though a 3 rd party company and I did receive a email stating that I would receive one night free for my inconvenience but I never talked to the manager which wasn’t professional. I really tried to stay gone because of those smell in the rooms. I didn’t have a great experience and this place would be the last on my list if I had to stay.

Our stay went well. The location is very nice and quiet. Less than 15 min away from LAX and easy access to the highway. We went to Disney during our stay and it’s about 45 min away in traffic but only 35 min away when the traffic is lighter. The sofa bed was 5/10 it did the job but my kids were fighting for the bed by the end of our trip 😂 the breakfast was decent & really came in handy. The oatmeal bar was my favorite. Only suggestion is Get better waffles lol

Stayed two nights, but we didn't get maid service during our stay. Don't know if we needed to ask, figured it was automatically done. But guess hotels don't do that anymore

⸻ I had an absolutely awful experience at this hotel. The laundry facilities were extremely overpriced, and to make matters worse, they didn’t even work properly. While trying to use them, someone stole all of my family’s clothing — including my toddler’s and newborn’s clothes, which made the situation even more upsetting and stressful. What’s even more concerning is that there are no cameras in the building, so there was no way to identify who took our belongings. The lack of security is unacceptable. The staff also handled the situation poorly. They repeatedly told me they would provide updates but kept forgetting or never followed through. I’ve been trying to reach management through email, phone calls, and even messages through Expedia, but I have not been able to get in contact with anyone. Overall, this experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend staying here, especially if you value safety, communication, and basic customer service.

Very clean hotel room. Such a comfy bed I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud during my stay. The bathroom was clean and had shampoo, conditioner, body wash stocked! Also great lighting and mirror to do your makeup. Full on kitchen in the suites with microwave, fridge, stove — such a plus! Complimentary breakfast buffet and complimentary late check out at 12pm if you need additional time but need to inquire first about it! Outdoor pool and grill for use. Parking space could be a bit more as it gets full fast bur not too much of an issue. Helpful and responsive staff, definitely overall would stay here again since the drive to sofi stadium for my concert was close!!

Our stay was great! And the complimentary breakfast didn’t disappoint. The only down fall was that when we asked for extra items (blankets, towels, pillows) we had to ask 3 times thru out the day before it we received the items. But that won’t stop us from staying again, if needed.

Everything was wonderful until breakfast came along. 1 worker dropped the coffee lids on the ground. Picked them up and proceeded to put them back on the counter for guest to use. I told the front desk and she let the worker know. Only then did she come back out to throw the lids in the trash.

TERRIBLE RECEPTIONIST

This hotel was great! Fresh breakfast daily. Hotel room was clean and everything needed was right in our room. The kitchenette in our room was perfect. I really enjoyed this room and hotel. Pool was great and hot tub was perfect!

The listing advertised a hot breakfast with waffles, but we were told waffles are only served on weekends. That was misleading, especially since my kids were looking forward to it. Breakfast hours were also inconsistent. There were also safety concerns with teenagers entering the property by jumping the fence and using the outdoor area. Overall, the stay did not match what was advertised, and it impacted our family trip.

We had a great stay at TownePlace Suites Hawthorne! The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable..perfect for relaxing after a long day out. I really appreciated the kitchenette, which made our stay even more convenient. Plus near to the airport!

My experience was just okay. I originally booked a king bed with a sofa bed, but at check-in I was informed they will be giving me a double queen room because they were sold out. That was pretty disappointing. Also, maintenance took quite a while to respond when needed. Overall staff are nice, clean, safe, and good breakfast buffet,.

I realize breakfast was part of my room rate but 2/3 mornings in a row, they were out of the main breakfast sandwich and bacon. The facilities and amenities are good, except for one of the hotel front desk. So I booked this hotel for a week with family. I have 3 kids. After spending most of our time out, arrived one night at 10pm and after couple minutes I got a call from front desk personnel saying she got complaints from guest below us about jumping., running around. We are trying to get ready for bed, so there will be running around (kids) but jumping I don't think so. Anyways, mind you this is the first complain I got and was flabbergasted when I was told that if this doesn't stop, "she can call security and can kick us out". I had to ask if she is kidding me because first of, we are not making noise on purspose (like we are partying or something) and I had to tell her I have kids so it is bound to happen. And again, it's not like I have gotten this complain multiple times and didn't listen. She for her to literally say that to me? I was shocked and falbbergasted. I am disgusted with her behavior and how she attend to this kind of matter. She should find a job that doesn't involve customer service. Clearly, she doesn't have any good manners.

The facility amenities are Amazing!!! Kids loved the basketball hoop, pool and nice hot hot tub. We had some room situations that we addressed some of it with the manager I believe this morning. He was very tentative so for that I’m still giving it 5 stars even though it’s between 4-5 I feel just because the breakfast area could be wiped up during the open times. Tables that were prior used no one wiped in between so I think staff needs to be a tad more tentative as it seemed like they lingered around at a very slow pace when observing. Filling one tiny thing at a time. Other that that we loved the front desk staff that we came in contact with and getting extra towels and more conditioner was quick which was nice unlike other hotels. We would definitely stay here again.

One morning at 5 am fire alarm was went off and we evacuated the building but was just testing one. That morning I got a headache and whole entire day our plan gone Breakfast was not enough for hotel guests and staff start wrapping things 15 earlier than expected time.

My family of 6(partner, 17, 11,8,1) ended up staying here last minute due to flight changes. We loved this hotel! it was such a much needed positive experience. The pool was heated and was thoroughly enjoyed by my kiddos. The basketball court and atmosphere including fire tables and BBQs also added to the ambience. Beautiful! Staff was also helpful - even booked us a cab early in AM. The room was beautiful— so spacious! Perfect for our big family!

No fan in the bathroom the sliding door is literally irrelevant because my 2-year-old can slide it open the lock is that bad. 6.there was a random man in the lobby following me I got really scared they kicked him out The staff was friendly but I will never stay again because the rooms are just not worth spending money on !

Rooms were decent for a 5 day stay, breakfast is acceptable, really basic. No Waffles. Trash around the premises were rarely empty every day. Fire alarm went off at 5am the first night, not the fault of the resort but annoying nonetheless.

Furniture like some drawers were broken and would not work. Last but not the least room Service is every other day and there is no note in the room to mention that room service is other day. You will know only when no body shows up to clean the room and you ask help desk for the reason.

There was constant banging from check in to check out. The fire alarm went off randomly at 5am when we were in deep sleep. The fire department came to our room maybe 20+ minutes later because our room was the cause of the fire alarm for the whole floor. A staff member then came to our room maybe 30+ minutes after the fire department came to check the alarm because the fire department had told them they need to replace and update their alarms. This woke us up again after trying to sleep. I honestly had very little sleep and had a long drive the same day. One lady told us we’d get a $50 refund. And at check out another worker told us we would get 50% percent back and 20,000 bonvoy points for our troubles. I personally believe the second choice is a far better compensation for our stay. If the bonvoy points aren’t possible I feel as if’s 50% percent return should bear minimum. Personally I believe a 100% compensation seems far more appropriate than a 50$ refund.

The breakfast was good, the variety was not. Also on some days the service was too slow with led to guests forming queues waiting for meat and potatoes to be replenished. The room was good and as advertised. Kitchen Power sockets did not work and I had to use the coffee machine and the toaster on the bed side table sockets. The hotel did not have an electric kettle and gave us a pan for us to boil water in, that was rather disappointing. But overall, the experience was good. Smooth check in and check out, friendly staff, clean rooms.

The resort charges 25.00 per night for parking which is not advertised on their website or anywhere that customers can see it prior to making the reservations.

Clean room, the sheets actually smelled clean, no hair when you pull the covers down to get in bed, the sofa bed makes it more comfortable if your kids don't want to share a bed. Room is a little apartment, they have dishwasher, full fridge, stove top and playes and utensils and the complementary breakfast its amazing, eggs,cheese, bread, bagels, English muffins, 3 different types of muffins, coffee, juices and oatmeal, they even had green and red sauce.My only complaints are the shower has a weird design, just a glass and no door or curtain making the floor wet and the pillows are hard. Staff its friendly and very professional. We found our new place to stay twice a year when we go to Los Angeles.

Had the cops called to my room at 8pm because “my music was too loud” as I was getting ready to go out by myself . Noise ordinance doesnt kick in until 11pm. As a solo traveler coming from NJ, this was very intimidating . Had to switch hotels because I felt targeted and harassed as hotel staff kept coming to my room. Never gave me a refund for the inconvenience

Room was very clean and the bedding was comfortable. We had an issue early on but management, specifically Dior, offered to fix it and did a great job reassuring us for the remainder of our stay. The breakfast was ok. Daily, the eggs and meat option, turkey or pork sausage, were overcooked and dry. But there were plenty of other options and none of us went hungry. Overall, a good location with very friendly staff.

I booked the suite with a pullout couch. The first night they gave me a room with no mattress after asking for one i was told some rooms dont have them. I explained i booked this because of my 3 children. They gave me comforters and had me sleeping on just springs (i have photos). When i spoke to the manager in the am they said some rooms dont have mattresses . But when speaking to head of house keeping she said it was the only mattresses (less) room. After an in-counter at check in (3 hours late). Not letting me pay cash and not excepting tap pay they cancelled my room, that almost left me and my 3 kids homeless for the night. They then gave me that room when my friend came to give her card. I am so disappointed because we go there when my daighter needs medical needs close to the hotel, (she is 13 and needs a kidney). She also suffered a minor seizure when they refused to give us the room. Then saying i booked thru hotels. Com. N they can cancel anyone. Im so disappointed. The next night was better l, but while i was supposed to be enjoying family time at the pool i was left to switch rooms. Just not a great experience that i usually have with the Marriotts.

Clean room. Good price. Breakfast was not good. Not a lot of options. Only hot food was scrambled eggs, sausage (turkey saudage on Sunday) and the most disgusting oatmeal ever. Also, the juice machine was broken the whole time so they had pitchers out but the staff person who was servicing the breakfast area/food couldn't walk and moved very slowly when she did (not just referring to moving from one place to another-I'mtalking refilling, ppening ip new bottles, etc.) so things were going empty and staying empty for longer than they probably should have. If you asked her for anything like milk, half and half, sugar, whatever, you got a huff in response. Otherwise staff and housekeeping were really nice. Parking kind of sucked when we got back late (after 9pm) but we were always able to cut through the adjoined hotel. Overall, yes we plan on stayjng here again when we visit LA.

Good facilities with pool, gym, outdoor fire pits and grills, and kitchenette in room. Room was not very clean with stains on furniture and carpet and garbage on carpet and under bed. Shower was dingy. Coffee maker missing basket, deadbolt not working and one light beside bed not working. But overall good value.

Arrived after 9pm. Doors were locked and nobody was at the lobby to answer the doorbell. Had to go to the other adjacent hotel entrance to check in.

The staff was outstanding. Every day there was another amazing lady at the front desk and the housekeeping was amazing. I'm really happy that I stayed here with my kids and dog.

We used our towels in the first day and we were expecting clean towels for day two. But on check out they told us that they just clean every other day. They should supply for two days then.

My stay was amazing. The facilities were clean, very friendly staff, and they were very pet friendly which was a very big plus since I had my baby with me. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice and comfortable stay.

The room and dining options were great, the downfall room wise was the carpet was really stained and the bathroom mirror looked tilted and a little like it was going to fall off. But the view was great, the room over all was a beautiful studio & staff was so friendly ! It is right next to Inglewood (not the safest area) but still only 18 min away from LAX so convenient location!

That said, there were several drawbacks. The lobby was very noisy, with multiple TVs and music playing at once, making it impossible to find a quiet spot—I even had to take an interview in my car. Breakfast was fine for a free option, but the breads were tough and some items (like the quiche) felt a bit odd. In my room, the shower initially only trickled until I realized the handle needed to be rotated, and there was visible oxidation ans wear around the shower area (though still watertight). The vanity was loose on its hardware and kept coming unhooked, confusing my older mom. The heating/AC unit was also extremely loud, which made it hard to rest. Housekeeping ran out of face towels, so I had to use hand towels. Finally, trash left in the narrow hallways by other guests wasn’t cleared quickly, which felt unsanitary. Overall, TownePlace Suites has great staff and a modern look, but the noise, maintenance issues, and cleanliness lapses kept it from being fully comfortable.

Checked in. Went to our room and it was not a clean room. Beds weren't made and trash/stuff all over rooms. Pretty gross to walk into that. But we did get a new room right away and that one was clean. It was expensive for what we got. The surrounding area was not very nice.

Nice spacious clean room. I waa fine with the matttress but my sister thought it waa lumpy. Thats a matter of preference. But the property is well kept and conveniently located for what i needed to do. Will definitely be booking this place on my future returns to LA.

On our 2nd day we were scheduled for a room service and we asked the front desk person to have our room cleaned on our way out. When we got back in the evening we found our room 186 untouched and was never cleaned. We called the attention of the next person on the reception and never got an answer back. We requested for new towels that arrived when we followed up after 30 minutes. We liked the property as its close to LAX and to the places we’d be meeting friends, i hope this experience of us requesting for service in our room won’t happen again.

Rooms were very nice and clean,well maintained facility. They couldn't find my reservation.,So I had to wait for about and hour before I could get a room.But they did accommodate me with free dinner.

We checked in immediately after coming from the beach , 1st thing I do is walk into shower & there are hairs everywhere. Complained to the front and sent someone to clean it . The grumpy man that came to clean it was rude about it . Woke up for breakfast & by 8 an hour into breakfast it was all gone . When asked if they were bring out more the worker said they were out of a lot of the items . Don’t get me started on the parking !!!! Not enough of it and very compact space

It was very crowded in the outdoor pool area. This hotel shares a pool with the other hotel Courtyard which is in the same building. So you can imagine that the pool area and jacuzzi were packed. Breakfast image on the website was miss leading. Breakfast was ok. Room was ok.

The area was perfect but the parking is 22$ but great location clean and you have to ask for pots if you plan on cooking there not in room but great customer service and clean

We were charged $22 per car per night of stay for uncovered parking. Why not free for checked-in customers?

Only problem was my sink was clogged from the prior guests putting something down the drain. Otherwise, great amenities and clean stay.

Free parking along the streets. Breakfast options were just OK, served the same thing basically every day. Would have been nice that towels and such matched the number of guests booked, we were a party of 3 and only 2 sets were left after each cleaning. Property well maintained, easy access to LA and surroundings. They have 2 EV chargers on site (slow, but on cheaper end per kw) and plenty of Tesla chargers next door.

We arrived & checked in just to find a used room- trash & cups in trash can, food spilled on bed, dirty towels on floor & used towel in kitchenette to clean up a red liquid. Notified front desk & they came to clean it, but we had to wait in lobby until after midnight. All we wanted to do was sleep after a long drive in, but couldn’t.

Parking was terrible- the permit sign should be given ahead to fill out and place prior to entering the facility. upon entering my room door- a pungent smell hit me like a ton of bricks. oddly it was a mix of cigarette and pickle smell. We also noticed while trying to use the restroom the door lock was faulty. The carpet and curtains have various stains all throughout. I called to let reception know right away. I was told they would have someone come up to fix it in about 15 minutes. The gentleman came up past the 15 mins with a spray bottle to resolve the "smell". It did make the room smell better for all of 2 minutes and disapated. The smell was nauseating all night and literally gave me a migraine. My family tried to all settle in and conduct our bedtime routine- the bathtub looked dingy and dirty with old calcified spots all over the metal and dirt stains on the floor of the bathtub- needless to say we skipped taking a bath due to this. while trying to set up the pull out couch we realized the disgusting stains all over the mattress- which looked like blood and urine. we decided to cram together in the 2 beds which led for aln uncomfortable sleepless night. I would say the stay was less than pleasant.

Upon check-in at 4:15pm as a party of five, with a reservation for a two queen bed with pull-out sofa bed room, there were no rooms in our size ready for us. Rooms were supposedly still being cleaned. Being that we were now going to be late for our concert, we were provided with another room to get ready in. We could not access our own room until we returned at midnight. We were sadly late for our concert. Immediate check-in staff was not very friendly, but Dior who finally accommodated us was very helpful. Room was good, however upon check-out, we observed a room across the hall seemingly being treated for what I assume were bed bugs. It was a suitable distance away from SoFi Stadium, but not having a room ready for us and having to juggle our belongings in a temporary room and hope they were properly transferred to our real room later, was a real drag. Having to check-in after midnight, after a long drive from San Diego and a long concert, was not ideal. We will not return to this property.

It was convenient to where I worked, so easy to get to. The room was comfortable. I requested two beds, but they gave me one bed. I brought it to receptionist and the room was immediately changed. The lobby was clean and nice. The pool area trash was full otherwise it was okay. I did not like the breakfast spread. I got to breakfast both days by 9:30 am and was told breakfast was served until 10:00 am. However, both days no hot food and no bagels or bread out. The kitchen help was not helpful and the tables where all dirty no one was cleaning them.

Front desk staff were all so kind. We arrived early and wanted to keep our bags at the hotel while we shopped in the area, instead they got us a room right away even though we were hours early to our check in.

Great location if you want to see everything LA has to offer, such as Beverly Hills/Hollywood, beaches, and Disneyland (to fully appreciate LA, you’re going to have to drive), very close to the airport, great customer service from Jordan, Amanda, and another sweet lady who helped me locate my lost glasses. The hotel is in a quiet and safe part of town, and near the police station, a fire department, and city hall. Room was clean and spacious. Free breakfast was delicious, as well. Quick and easy to get my room

The front desk staff were very rude and unprofessional. I couldn’t believe Marriott hired people who obviously appear that they hate their jobs. I would never stay there again!!!

The facility is located close to a local hwy and major grocery facilities. Paying for on-site parking was a bit surprising though we booked a room for 4 days, but I gues it's a LA thing.

The staff was friendly. The floor was filthy. The toilet seat was broken. The microwave handle came halfway off in my hand. One stove knob was missing. I plugged in the hair dryer and the electric went out!

Good location near Manhattan Beach and next to the Hawthorne Police Department and Library, which added peace of mind. Staff was friendly, and the price was reasonable. The hotel shares parking and amenities with Courtyard, but parking was limited despite a $20 daily fee — very disappointing. The gym was large and clean but only had cardio equipment. Rooms were generally clean but showed significant wear — ripped carpet, torn bedding, broken doors, and faulty locks raised security concerns. With better maintenance and parking, this could be a great stay.

The property is big, our room was well air conditioned. It had a stove. You need to ask for the stove plugs from the staff and also for cooking pots. They had utensils and plates to eat. There was a full sized fridge. You can also bbq outside in the pool area. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom spacious. Cleaning staff comes every two days i believe. There was a Microwave. Pool was heated and hot tub was good but too hot for me sometimes. Pool was the main attraction for the kids. Breakfast consisted of bagels, scrambled eggs, breakfast sandwich, sausages, jelly, butter, oatmeal, fruits etc. Coffee was available all the time. Parking costs $18 per day through their app. That is it I believe 😊

Great place to stay! Very clean and friendly staff. It’s a bit of a drive to LA/hollywood area for those that aren’t familiar with Los Angeles. Pool is clean and has a basketball court to keep the kids busy. Parking area has enough space to park and even has security in the night time. The only thing I could say wasn’t that great was the breakfast but overall great place!

We stayed four nights at this property for our sons tournament at the L.A. Convention center adn would stay again. It was close to beaches which we visited for dinners. Every staff member was very personable and friendly. The rooms were so clean and extra towels delivered in a timely manner.

Great front desk folks, like Trey and others....the cleaning of the room is not everyday or every other. That was not advised till after I arrived that's my only concern than that have to share.

The room was big. Nice layout. The bed was comfortable, and I loved the kitchen area with a full-size, very clean refrigerator. The pool area was nice and had a grilling area that was being used by others during our whole stay. Very popular area. The common walking area was clean, and the design went well with the area. The rug was completely covered in red and black sticky stuff throughout the room. The tile in the walkway and in the bathroom was not fully clean. There was left hair and spots as if it were never cleaned. The shower had black stains from use. After I notified the manager, they came in and cleaned the next day, and the flooring was still not fully clean. As I checked out, I advised the man at the font desk.

I’m not sure. The rooms were cleaned and still dirty. The carpet in my room smelled so bad I couldn’t sleep. The wall paper in the bathroom so dirty. The shower stained. The covers , sheets and towels clearly need to be trashed and re ordered. The common areas filthy. Just digesting honestly. I can’t believe Marriott is really going down bad.

It was dirty, as hair in the shower dirty. The house keepers were constantly saying rude comments about guests and snickering. As they were in the same elevator or in the hallways Just feet away from them. They think they are slick but we speak Spanish and body language is universal. This is terrible behavior for an employee.
