    This is second time I’ve stayed At this, La Quinta and the TV wasn’t receiving a signal so both times my husband had to handle it to make it work. Next the accessible bathroom, shower Head was supposed to be adjustable, but it was broken and difficult to use especially when you are cane dependent the water sprayed all over in place and was not draining so the bathroom floor was covered with water which we had to clean up with towels. When we got ready to leave and report it to the desk, House Keeping had already put towels outside the door because the water was flooding the hallway. The situation is very dangerous for someone who has ability issues like myself. I reported it to the desk person and they said not to worry they would take care of it. When I got back to the room later on, the mess was clear and cleaned up , but the showerhead was still broken. This force me to have to shower again, having difficulty positioning at so I could wash myself and dangerous because of the wet floor. The good news is it did not flood the place.

    The property is old and needs A LOT of work to make it decent. I think that they charge a lot for what they offer. Things like the carpet has holes in it, wood door frames that should have been replaced have been painted over! I had the do not disturb on the door and housekeeping came bursting in through the door without even knocking. Why come in when the do not disturb sign is on the door????

    Im so glad this place got remodeled and is under new management. Finally a place to stay in the Hayward area that is close to food, fwys, and stores. What would have made our stay a lot better is if the room had a screen door for the patio, the beds were in better shape, and the AC unit was not so old. They may want to consider replacing them or at least changing the filters out bcuz it looked horrible and the air circulation was bad. Otherwise the place is great. I did not try their breakfast but did walk down to see what they had and was impressed. Coffee was great. Amenities were sufficient and relieved that they have an updated security system with 24/7 patrol.

    The room needs to be updated. Visible repairs on the ceiling. Frayed chairs and carpet. The shower was new and nice, but the rest needs updating. Broken screen on the balcony. The pool didn’t look usable. The lobby was nice as were the front desk representatives.

    Location I booked my room 2 days ahead and they gave me a room that had pets. I told them I’m allergic to pets and they said if you don’t want it then we’ll do a fully refund and it will take up to 3 to 5 business days for you to get your refund back through the third-party. I was very tired because I’ve been working all day and after I heard that I was very disappointed..

    Like so many others, there’s no accommodation for night workers. I get off at 3:00 AM and I either have to pay full price for a walk in for the day prior or wait until 4:00 to check in. The earliest they will allow is 11:00 AM.

    Roaches in the rooms Please don’t get a room by a door, the cigarette smokers smoke there. And for forbid you need fresh air or a cool room they will charge and accuse you of smoking. AC said 66 and on but the room stayed at 78 degrees General manager Jay is rude as all outdoors. takes no accountability and yells at women. Housekeeping gave us folded dirty towels in our bathroom. THEY HAVE ROACHES.

    Not only is the management terrible, but the rooms are filthy, musty, and poorly maintained. I even had to switch rooms during my stay. We originally stayed at the La Quinta in Galt because my daughter, who is a photographer, had events around San Francisco. We decided to move to Oakland thinking it would be closer and more convenient. Looking back, leaving Galt was a huge mistake. The La Quinta in Galt was gorgeous, clean, and had an amazing staff. This location was the complete opposite. When I checked in, my state ID was expired. I understand policies are policies, but I have never had an issue using it before — I even flew to NYC with it. I asked if they could simply change the reservation to my daughter’s name since she was also staying with me, but the staff refused. The supervisor was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. At 1 a.m., exhausted and overwhelmed, I ended up on the phone with Hotels.com in tears trying to fix the situation. Having worked for Marriott in my 20s, I was honestly shocked by the lack of customer service and compassion. After more than an hour, Hotels.com finally spoke with the hotel manager, who agreed to cancel and rebook the reservation under my daughter’s name. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. The hotel smelled strongly of smoke, the room was dirty, and the curtains were literally shredded. Please save yourself the stress and spend your money somewhere else.

    Our room smelled like pet urine and when you turned the AC on it smelled very humid. We used the pull out sofa bed and it wouldn’t go back into sofa so we had to leave it out for our 2 day stay. We didn’t use housekeeping so we didn’t ask them for help.

    This particular La Quinta has a terrible customer service and front desk personnel, a front desk person named Ray or Rey was acting arrogant when I made a follow-up on the status of my refund.     The building seemed to need a little upgrade. The room was basic. A step above a motel. The drawers would not stay closed after putting clothes in them and I had to remind the staff that it would be three people staying in the room and I needed towels for on more than one occasion. Also, breakfast was not refilled after nine and almost empty and put away at 9:30am

    1st room i was given was disgusting, ill try to upload photos. Aside from being dingy, the air conditioner made alot of noise when the c9mpresdor kicked on. Requested room change, better but the fridge was on its last leg. Lots of weird guests. Suspect the state houses section 8 tennants at this location. Even staff was noisy. Moving a dumpster up and down the halls at night bumping into things. Breakfast was meh. Its a shame when hotel owners dont adequately maintain their hotel.

    The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well stocked and good variety of choices. Loved the 24 hour coffee and tea station. The rooms are clean but definitely need a makeover. The rug was lifting in middle of room. The beds did have very comfortable mattresses. The big negative was that our room was not cleaned and the towels not replaced. We did request upon leaving room but was not done. We stayed 2 nights for a family funeral.

    Due to my husband had suffered a stroke LaQuinta was my first choice to stay for 30 days!. I wanted to feel safe and rested. The peaceful night sleep, the nice breakfast every morning. No complaints except was room 319 king bed mattress was literally broken and the carpet was bubbled! Room changers the next morning with no problem. The juice machine was out of service for two weeks. Otherwise I would definitely stay again if necessary.

    The bad: Building was poorly insulated. Heard people laughing loudly down the hall at 2:00 AM, and the people in the room above us kept dropping things on the floor, making all kinds of noise all night long. The bed was not very comfortable, had a hole in the springs. Other than that, it was OK.

    The shower handle was very stiff and hard to turn. The main door needs to be easily secured. Unless you actually slam the door hard, it does not lock securely. Its scary because you think you have locked your door, but its not. Other than these two issues, the place was very clean and I like that towels are plush and linens are clean and very white; smells good too. No stains! Wish food could be better like the sausage patty so skimpy and scrambled egg too thin, but rest okay like there’s variety.

    The staff did their job - helpful and kind. I understand the hotel is under renovations. While the lobby area looks great, the room I was in did not meet my standards. The carpet just felt damp all the time (as if there was water damaged and nothing was done about it) and extremely dirty. I did not feel comfortable taking my shoes off or even walking with socks. The room stayed humid even with the AC on. There was no way to pull the certain back and let the sun in without people seeing into the room.

    Room 126 snarled like straight weed we went as a family night vacay and went swimming which was nice but went back to room after ac was on and it was such a strong smell we check out smoke and room 126 right near door too much back n forth to have a good night sleep left the room at 11:30 with my family still waiting on reply for that they will do

    - The building was under construction so, there were challenges getting to the room. One being our room was at the back of the hotel and even if we were able to park closer to the room entrance, the elevator closest to our room was out of order. - My daughter and son-in-law went for a swim and when they got back to the room, the key card worked but the door was stuck, we had to pull the door open from inside the room. I’m not sure what happened there. I have to say, they tried to enter into the room multiple times and because my husband and I were already sleeping, they had to bang on our door to get our attention. - The a/c vent needed to be cleaned. The air was only coming from the right side of the vent. If we had a longer stay, I would have requested for the a/c to be cleaned or would have asked for another room. The location of the hotel was great. It had a lot of stores and places to eat and their continental breakfast had a lot to offer on the menu along with a variety of juices.

    The most issue i had was the cleanliness of the room. I found sunflower seeds on the floor and on the counter by the sink in the kitchenette area. Also the shower walls and toilet area was not cleaned the whole time we were there.

    Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the stay at this property. Newly renovated and really nice. Super comfy bed and security patrol on the premises which was a plus. Would definitely stay here again. Also, found a really great Chinese restaurant close by, Tasty Szechuan restaurant. :)

    The only things I'm disappointed in were the food. I've been to many La Quinta hotels in the past mostly on the West Coast but they always provide enough food based on the people's stay in at the place. As I entered the cafeteria I’ve noticed it was busy on Saturday’s morning. I also noticed the people were already waiting in line for the food to refill. But this place provides slow, especially main dish like an egg and turkey link. I thought I’m crazy so I checked “three time” and the food were gone especially those main dish I mentioned above. Note: I do appreciate for the food that the hotel provides. Don’t take it the wrong way I can alway go eat somewhere else and I know it’s gonna be much better food than what the hotel provides. I usually spend my breakfast between $30 to $60 per person when I go out. But you know one of those feeling when you are super hungry and you know that you are staying in hotel so you expect the food is gonna be there and waiting for you but I guess my expectations were wrong. Partially happy customer!

    The property was ok, would have liked to know there was construction going on prior to arrival. The agent that checked us in was not friendly nor did he make eye contact. It was all transactional. Our room was ok, the closet door upon touch came off the hinge. I did tell the morning agent who seemed concerned if i had gotten hurt and reported it to maintenance right away. Other than that it was an ok stay.

    When booked, there was no notice that the hotel was under construction. The rooms were booked by mistake as wheelchair accessible, but the front desk rep was not willing to change the rooms without an excessive additional charge. The shower made a huge mess of water leading to the front door; thankfully, we were able to request more towels. Overall, the stay was mediocre.

    This is my 2nd time staying here. Really like the friendly people and great breakfast. Only have two suggestions. The hot tub needs to be hotter and i always choise to pay at the property. So don't charge my credit card until i actually check in

    The room smelled, loud, obnoxious , inconsiderate kids and adults all night long in the hallways, my daughter and I barely got any sleep, complained TWICE to the front desk about the loud guests and nothing was done about it. Gnats were in the room as well. 100% do not recommend.

    We rented 2 rooms for a funeral. When we arrived the guy told us we needed to give him a cc to charge the deposit. We knew nothing about the deposit to our knowledge everything was paid. He made it a big deal we said we would pay cash for the deposit and then with an attitude he said if we paid cash it was double the price per room and that we would get it back when we check out the next morning. If we used the cc it would take 7-10 days to get out money back to the card. He stated it said when we booked the room but i pulled up the reservation information and he couldnt even find it! How are we sopose to know about these other expenses if it is not where we can find or see it! He made our experience very unfavorable we were not really there to enjoy and have a good time we were there for a funeral

    The hotel is convenient to some good places to eat and is centralized. They are having construction work done which wasn’t noted on the reservation page, but we were there n the weekend so there was no work getting done. Otherwise, a decent place to stay for the price.

    All of the staff were amazing courteous, friendly and helpful. I was Very happy that they upgraded my room since I'm disabled. They put me RIGHT NEXT DOOR to the dining room and gave me a WONDERFUL BALCONY close to the Pool and MAIN ENTRANCE. I stayed there 11 nights in total and can't wait to return on my next visit to the Bay Area for medical reasons. Oh one more thing: the daily buffet was delicious and varied. An AWESOME VALUE that is included. So nice to have it change its egg dishes everyday. Also the Hot Tub WORKS and is REALLY HOT! But not too hot for young children I LOVE this place!(very reasonable around $125 a night, include taxes and fees) too. Please tell ALL the Staff, kitchen food preparers, maids and Front Desk that Valeri Coleman (woman with no hair) said I will be BACK because of their EXCELLENT SERVICE and Thank You!!!
