Reviews
Guests generally have a positive experience at the hotel, appreciating the cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. However, there are recurring complaints about dated rooms, parking fees, and issues with amenities such as the pool and breakfast hours.
- Clean and comfortable rooms
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Dated rooms and amenities
- Extra charges for parking

The breakfast was delicious!

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Breakfast was a plus. We didn’t make it to the indoor pool but kids in there looked like they were having fun.

Clean and slick

Really appreciated the promptness of the airport transfer. Conveniently located within walking distance to several restaurants. Breakfast was very good! Best we have had at an Embassy Suites.

Booked a king bed and was given 2 queen beds instead. No biggie but wasnt what i booked

We always stay at Embassy suites if available. The young man who was making eggs for breakfast was an excellent person. It was overall good.
- 2/5
The room on the first night smelled like smoke-not cigarette- but mechanical. AC was ineffective. The second night the room smelled like sewer gas.
- 5/5
Place was very nice and clean

No remote but maintenance did bring one to me. Then the cable wasn’t connected but my son fixed that. Needed ice to keep the refrigerator cold.

Friendly and helpful staff, and excellent breakfast. No complaints whatsoever.

Clean and staff was accommodating and made stay very pleasant. Nothing

The staff was friendly and helpful. Variety of eating options within walking distance. Evening reception was satisfying and relaxing. Enjoyed having the extra space with a couch and desk outside the bedroom. Close to the airport with a complimentary shuttle.

I did not manage to reach the hotel to order the shuttle on the way from the airport to the hotel. If you want a shuttle, make arrangements in advance, and perhaps it is better to book this hotel directly via their own website rather than booking.com website.

The hotel itself provides very suitable accommodation and close proximity to grocery and restaurants/fast foods

Clean rooms, comfy beds, close to airport with shuttle. Very nice staff, free drinks at happy hour. Place is somewhat outdated. (I.e. Bathroom had some rusty corners). Breakfast was included but we better skipped it. (Coffee did not like to be coffee and milk was beyond usage date).

Reserved a room with a King. When I got there they didn’t have any rooms with a King. What’s the point in making a reservation and paying up front only to not get what you paid for. Their idea of compensation was to give me points. Whoopdie freaking do.

We went out of our way, past many different hotels, just because I always prefer Embassy Suites. But, this time will make me question whether I would ever stay in one again. The breakfast was great and as usual. Friendly staff, clean area, fresh food. But the room. There was a shower curtain where the barn door should have been????? So there was no door, essentially!!! The barn door was just missing, and they did not bother to replace it. So I called the front desk. They said that I booked an accessible room. A person in a wheelchair can push a barn door open! That doesn't fly. They offered to switch us to a different room. I said don't bother. I was just turned off by the fact that they thought that this was ok. I was done with it. Then, I was told that our 2 free drink coupons had to be used during happy hour. But we had a dinner reservation and could not be there during happy hour. So when I checked, after happy hour, and while the bar was still open?? I was told that the coupons were only good during happy hour. What's the point. So I overpaid. $40, for an old fashioned and a white wine. Very disappointed and won't stay again.
- 5/5
The breakfast was beyond expectations
- 5/5
Very nice
- 4/5
BUT be careful, they need to charge your parking fee $21.99. So so so expensive! I've over looked it. Be honest, if I know it before, I'll not go this hotel!
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly and knowledgable. After a long stressful day on the road it was nice to see a smiling face to greet you. Then got to the room and it was absolutely amazing not to mention quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was an amazing addition to the stay as well.
- 3/5
2. Staff adherence to service protocols requires improvement. Additional training is recommended in the following areas: - Reception: The receptionist did not demonstrate a welcoming attitude. - Food Service: The cook was throwing and bagging plates on the counter while serving guests, which appeared unprofessional. 3. The parking fee is excessively high.
- 5/5
The parking needs to included in Price
- 5/5
Everything was amazing. Kudos to Michael at the front desk and the shuttle driver.
- 5/5
Great breakfast with made to order omelettes and lots of other stuff.
- 3/5
The facility is nice on the outside but the inside needs some updating. The rooms are dull and dark and they need some cleaning. When we checked under our bed before leaving, there was so much dust and dirt underneath. The breakfast used to be amazing but the quality has gone down terribly. The omelet was made to order but with only 1 chef, the line was long. Happy hour has also gone downhill. You’re only allowed 2 free drinks of the lowest level liquor. You used to be able to get whatever you wanted and it was unlimited in quantity. The bartender was nice though! The jets in the jacuzzi didn’t work and the pool and the surrounding area was pretty dirty. But on the plus side, the water was warm. Then there’s the parking. They charge $22 PER NIGHT to park in THEIR lot. As if you’re not already paying to stay there. It’s a total cash grab! Overall, I will NOT be staying at another Embassy Suites. This hotel used to be one of the better options but for the price you pay, it’s no longer worth it.
- 2/5
2. He said that he was giving me an upgrade, but the room he assigned me to had an unmade bed and dirty towels on the bathroom floor. 3. The next room he put into was adjacent to a room with people being very loud. I called to ask that he ask them to quiet down, but no one ever answered the phone when I called. 4. Because no one answered, I was not able to ask for a wake up call. 5. I slept longer than I intended and missed breakfast. One reason for this is that the clock in the room was set an hour behind. The other was I could not request a wake-up call because no one answered my call.
- 5/5
Only fault is paid parking, they have their own parking lot so why do I need to pay? Other than that is is a great place
- 5/5
Nice & friendly
- 4/5
The rooms are a bit dated but overall this is a very nice hotel. The rooms are real suites with a living room and a bedroom. Very nice breakfast with real cooked-to-order eggs.
- 5/5
Very nice and stores nearby
- 5/5
This hotel was so convenient for an early morning flight out of IAD, especially with a free shuttle. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was very good.
- 5/5
Clean but pool only open afternoons on week days
- 5/5
Michael Shaw (Front Desk, 3rd shift) was rude. When asking about amenities at the hotel he would just point, and he would say “over there” and give no direction.
- 4/5
The breakfast was great—Ana prepared an excellent made-to-order meal each morning. The room was clean, though it’s starting to show signs that upgrades and repairs are needed. The staff overall was wonderful. One major concern, however, is the parking fee. Since the hotel isn’t located in the city, there didn’t seem to be a reasonable justification for charging that amount to park. The location is great for access, and low traffic.
- 3/5
Hot tub was warm but be extra careful not to slip on wet area everywhere on the pool side. Three people almost fell. Bed was comfortable, but not the pull out bed from the couch. Parking is not free. You have to pay $23 to park at the hotel.
- 3/5
Breakfast was great.
- 3/5
The general manager was great, and we appreciated her connecting with us! Be aware that the pool hours are very limited, and they closed earlier than posted. I had five very disappointed children. The property is beautiful, but you will pay a lot for parking at the facility. If swimming and parking aren’t concerns when booking a hotel, I recommend staying here!
- 4/5
The omelette station was really good!!! Staff were really nice and I also appreciated the free two cocktails for happy hour. Only negative is parking is EXPENSIVE!!!! They should develop something were you can park by hour not day bc they dont tow in the morning or afternoon. So if you only tow at night then it needs to be pay by hour at night. And maybe there was a way to do that and we were told how even when we asked.
- 2/5
Dirty dishes piled up on the floors in the hallways (after 10:30pm); the halls and stairwells reeked of pot (supposedly a non smoking hotel) in the evenings; there weren't enough plates or silverware for the buffet breakfast so food had to be put on napkins; the pool/hot tub aren't open until 4pm on weekdays; we were told the wrong time for breakfast (I specifically asked when checking in); the soda from the dispenser was flat.
- 2/5
Room has musky smell, felt very old, dark and neglected.
- 5/5
Breakfast just ok. Nice room and pool
- 3/5
This hotel seriously needs a renovation. As soon as we opened our hotel room door, the smell was just awful. We called the front desk, so they sent someone with a can of Lysol to spray around the room. The Lysol scent only lasted an hour or so, which resulted in me having to drive to a 7/11 store at midnight to buy Febreze and an air sanitizer in order to sleep in peace. We also booked this hotel for the hot tub - which was not working by the way. A very disappointing stay. Staff was okay - Jose checked us in and was very accommodating and helpful.
- 5/5
Yes the breakfast was amazing
- 2/5
The place itself is fine, but it was probably the worst hotel experience ever in my case, starting with having to wait for an hour in the middle of the night after a long flight to check in, for a prepaid reservation and young children with me…
- 2/5
I specifically chose this hotel for their indoor pool, which when I called to confirm hours, I was told it closes at 11 pm. I got there at 9 pm and it was closed. Also be prepared to be woken up EARLY. I was woken up by LOUD bangs and crashes at 6:15 on a Saturday morning. It was a garbage truck slamming dumpsters. I told the front desk and the response was they come every day at that time.
- 4/5
Breakfast was great. Room was very spacious. Pool and hot tub was a great bonus. Overall the hotel was nice. Didn’t like the cost of parking and they could have done a better job cleaning the “hidden” places in the room. There was someone’s nose strip behind the night stand and hair under the vanity in the bathroom.

- 5/5
Beautiful. Breakfast was wonderful. Nice clean hotel
- 5/5
Airport shuttle was great

Clean, tasteful, well-appointed room. Lovely interior courtyard. Helpful staff. Would stay there again.
- 3/5
Cheetos laying on the floor of the room when checked in.
- 5/5
I don’t use airport shuttle
- 4/5
The two areas where there could be improvement is the in-room lighting (the lighting is very dim, even with all lights on), and parking. Parking was previously free. Now it is about $28 dollars a day. Do other hotels in the area charge for parking, yes, but most of them do not. If they do, the amount is usually much less, especially given the distance from the airport. As comparison to this $28 a night at Embassy Suites, one can valet at a big name luxury hotel in DC for $55 a night. Thus, the price seems a little off. Thank you for reading this!
- 5/5
Great breakfast and happy hour! Shuttle to airport was a bonus
- 4/5
The staff is very responsive to guests' needs. They are very engaging and quick to respond.
- 5/5
Superb staff and hotel, Very convenient.
- 1/5
The staff was slow and the gentleman that checked us smelled of body order. The room was dirty. There was blood on the certain. The carpets were exposing nails on the door frames. Then i got charged 300 for no reason and they wouldnt give it back or explain nor give proof.
- 5/5
Hotel was great.
- 5/5
All of the above. Very nice breakfast too. You could get made to order eggs and had a nice hot meal.
- 4/5
Great place, rooms are super clean. Breakfast was very good too. I will definitely recommend it
- 5/5
Courteous, friendly and helpful staff, clean and large rooms, nice free breakfast. Courtesy van service to Dulles and Metro.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had all the amenities. Bed was a little soft, but the pillows were good.
- 3/5
Room was okay. Had stains on the lamp. Room was showing age and needed to renovated. The shower head was slightly clogged so it didn't spray well and the water was far too hot. Staff was friendly and very accommodating.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious a lot of variety and made to oder omelets. I would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I had a very relaxing time at the hotel. We love the there breakfast and cocktail hour as well.
- 5/5

- 5/5

- 3/5
Dated hotel, no soap in the room for the stay. The shuttle has apparently been broken for months and they’re still advertising it as an amenity. Breakfast was great and the staff is very friendly
- 2/5
1st room didn't have heat. Had to relocate at midnight. Second room only had 1 TV Channel. Took until 3:00 to fix. Ordered 2 dinners. One came. 10 minutes later I went to grill to see if my steak had been started. Found that the order had never been placed.
- 5/5
Everything and everyone was warm and welcoming
- 5/5
The breakfast was good. The bed wasn’t. They need to upgrade the mattresses. Me and my husband entire body was aching.
- 5/5
The staff were wonderful. They helped me arrange the shuttle to and from the airport and made check in so easy.
- 4/5
Room (suite) was clean and quiet.
- 5/5
The staff was nice, the room was fine, the amenities were mostly good. The only complaint was that the pool was too small to swim in, it's basically a sitting pool. It's also convenient that there's a large shopping center within walking distance.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the hand-made breakfasts to order. BEWARE: the hotel shuttle ends at 10PM! Not great when your flight arrives at midnight. There are some maintenance issues in the room, so don't expect perfection. Comfortable and our stay was affordable, but could use some updating.
- 1/5
Staff was not helpful, I purposely chose this hotel for the shuttle, call the hotel prior to for verification and neither times did they say the shuttle runs on a schedule. (I took Uber both times) No one was at the front desk so I was about to call them someone finally came and took a long time checking me in. This was a horrible ex.
- 3/5
This is my first time staying at this hotel, and I will think twice before staying here again. The bed skirt in my bedroom had holes, and when we opened the sofa bed for my son, it was covered in crumbs. Also, the parking lot made us a bit uncomfortable during our stay. We arrived late at night, and there was an incident in which someone stole a car's tires. We reported it to the front desk, and they said they were aware but that they are not responsible for the parking lot! Really??

It was nice to have breakfast options. Staff was all very nice. It was nice to have an indoor pool option in December!! The water was a little on the cooler side but the hot tub was a great option! It’s also nice to have a complimentary adult beverage per night of stay! The only real issue we had was dinner on Saturday night. We did have a large party, 17 people, so we knew getting our food would take longer than normal, so we were expecting that. What we weren’t expecting was them taking 3 hours to get all of our food out. That was a little bit too long! The food was good and it was hot, but 3 hours was WAY too long. The waiter, whom was also the bartender, did a decent job, but he should have told us it was going to be an extremely long wait for all of our food to arrive and he should have let us know the meals were going to come out 1 or 2 at a time. After about 2 and a half hours he informed us the cook had only been there a few weeks and she wasn’t sure exactly where everything was in the kitchen yet. I don’t think he ever apologized for the lengthy wait time! I wasn’t thrilled there was a separate charge for parking. It was nice to have the little area where you could get drinks, food and snacks!!
- 5/5
There is a nice French bakery just across the street, we enjoyed good croissants and other Paris delicacies as well. Overall I will definitely recommend
- 5/5
Yes clean room and facility, friendly front desk clerk, enjoyed afternoon cocktails, and snacks.....
- 5/5
They do have to update the showers, especially the shower heads!
- 5/5
Good breakfast

Slow checkin. Parking at hotel is thru third party requiring separate payment. Mickey Mouse piece mail approach. Sad!

Great breakfast variety for someone with food allergies
- 5/5
I loved it..best rest I ever had. Very stress free. Staff was excellent Top of the line service
- 4/5
Clean room, good breakfast, nice staff, average pool.
- 3/5
Not for me
- 5/5
I booked this bcuz of the pool TBH. The bed was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Loved the 2 TV's in my room. Slept well tho. Happy there was an indoor pool/hot tub! The food was actually really good:) The person cooking on Thanksgiving day was very sweet! Actually ALL of the people there were very kind as I have a disability and stay at my local hotels to get away from it all! The front desk staff were fantastic. Though my only complaint was that the hotel was FREEZING and especially since its basically Fall/Winter now I was wanting a more cozy vibe. But besides that I did enjoy my stay. And the shorter Bangladeshi man with glasses helped me when I was trying to get a hot chocolate. Would highly recommend. Plus this is just a mere 15 min walk from RTC. Cheap stay during the Holidays which can be rare sometimes.

- 3/5
A front desk person wasn’t smiling at all. Happy hour service was nice but bartenders were not friendly and served very very slow so they didn’t have to serve all customers. They cut the line in the middle. A foot rest furniture was so old that made so much fabric crumbs. I don’t think I would go back to this hotel.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice interior view. I love this hotel.
- 4/5
Made to order breakfast, lifeguard on duty, decent spot right by airport (but not too noisy or busy).
- 5/5
Wonderful stay
- 5/5
Did not stay for long but met all my expectations
- 5/5
Very nice suite!
- 3/5
Typical excellent Embassy Suites breakfast-omelet station.
- 5/5
It was fine and close to the airport.
- 5/5
Very nice , clean, good service, good food and enjoyable design and atmosphere.
- 5/5
Very nice property. Clean rooms, great breakfast, great location.
- 1/5
1. There was not enough staff 2. My room smelled 3. The tub leaked the entire stay and when I complained the manager stated he was send an engineer but no one ever came, my wife and I spent the day sightseeing Saturday and came back to a flooded bathroom and when I showed the manager he just said sorry, we had to clean up the mess ourselves. 4. There was barely anywhere to sit for breakfast because there was not enough staff to clean tables and seats were sticky too 5. Why would you have "hot syrup" but NO WAFFLES 6. Saturday night kids were screaming and yelling and running around the hotel like a rave party, very load and obnoxious. I will NEVER stay there again. The manager (SashankB)said I would get taken care off due to the issues.

Services and clean rooms was fantastic

- 5/5
Nice place to have a rest! Safe part of the city
- 3/5
And a living room as a two bedroom was not what I reserved
- 5/5
Everything is good except paid parking which is little expensive and the staff hospitality at reception was not that great.
- 5/5
But we had to pay for the parking.
- 5/5
Good breakfast Choices !
- 4/5
We had a great stay. The bar area was amazing and the bar tender was very friendly. Had breakfast and the food was great.
- 5/5
Cable tv constantly buffered
- 4/5
Pathetic “snacks” in the evening I’m sure there’s a concrete slab in a prison somewhere that’s harder than the bed.
- 5/5
I appreciate the customer service here. Everyone was so nice and relaxed. I would stay here again.
- 4/5
The only inconvenient was that they had an issue with the keys of the rooms and I have to wait for an escort every time I wanted to get into my room
- 2/5
This property needs an update
- 4/5
I was very disappointed that I had to pay for my parking n
- 2/5
The computer was down we had NO KEYS, so the desk had to keep walking us to our room bc NO KEYS were available in physical or digital form

The first room had a sewage problem s
- 5/5
Only issue was that parking can only be paid for over the phone, after a long day of travel my phone was dead and they had no alternative way to pay

- 4/5
Good family hotel.
- 5/5
Good place to stay.
- 5/5
I love satying at embassy suites and this trip was no different. The atmosphere is always pleasant. Only thing was the pool was down because a light was pulled out and sitting on the side. Service great. Staff great.
- 5/5
Great for children
- 5/5
Should not have to pay separately for parking.
- 3/5
There was a dirty washcloth in the bathroom still on the shower post from the previous guests. There were no bath towels at all in this room. The TV remote battery was dead, I had to go down to the counter for a replacement.
- 3/5
I was disappointed to learn that parking was not included in my room rate, as Orbitz said my price was "all in," and if there was any indication about parking, it was NOT obvious. So when I got there at 2AM and was told that I needed to scan a code to pay $24/night for parking, suddently the "all in" price I agreed to was no longer accurate and no longer nearly as competitive as some of the other choices I had.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel. I was very impressed by the fact that we had two rooms in our unit. However, paying 20 bucks extra for parking was both annoying and a bit of a pain because of the process.
- 3/5
Breakfast counter needs better staff
- 4/5
Very nice. Very friendly staff.
- 3/5
Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, good tv channel selection, slow breakfast service in terms of clean up and restocking food
- 3/5
Didnt provide water bottles in the room. There wasn't a safe in the room. Room has a drab old colonial time look and feel.

Service at the front desk was the most polite and professional I’ve ever experienced and I’ve traveled a lot. Overall was a great hotel for the price. Only thing I could say needs improved is an overall modern update of the rooms. The lighting was very dim throughout the room and tvs outdated.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel very clean and staff friendly
- 4/5
I did not like paying for park the car....

Excellent room that was clean. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
The hotel was nice. The only thing I didn’t like was having to pay for parking
- 4/5
Nice ,clean and pretty only down fall is that you have to pay for parking and they have a life guard and they wont let you do anything fun in the pool so my two kids hated it .
- 4/5
Average
- 5/5
My wife and I travel quite a bit and spend lots of times in hotels. This hotel is one of the cleanest hotels we stayed so far.
- 3/5
The hotel had no hot water on a holiday weekend. People stay there because it's close to the airport and who wants to shower in cold water? The bathroom wasn't very clean and for a 2 bed suite, there was only sheets/blankets for one bed.
- 5/5
real nice pool and hot tub the working are great
- 4/5
The property had easy access to the airport. The room was clean and roomy. The staff was friendly and professional.
- 4/5
We rec'd the service and amenities we expected at an Embassy Suites. Bedding was great, the noice was at a minimum. My only issue was them trying to charge $25 a night for parking. Sheesh. The parking was out in a parking lot with no special accessories. I feel like this is a simple way they gouge customers.
- 5/5
Great start
- 4/5
Beautiful property and well maintained. The lady that was their when we arrived was rude. The staff afterwards were pleasant and the breakfast was amazing
- 5/5
The kids really love their stay. The staff was very nice and attentive, except the pool staff. The pool staff was on her phone the whole time, she didn't pay attention when the pool needed cleaning or anything; however we still enjoyed the pool.
- 5/5
Perfect. Great service at the desk.
- 5/5
Whether was great low 70’s and no humidity, traffic was not bad and getting around was pretty easy. Great food close by and the hotel staff was a knock out, very great service and very helpful. We will definitely be back.
- 4/5
Paid parking??? Also, one working elevator?????
- 5/5
We really enjoy our stay at Embassy Suites. It feels very relaxing!
- 5/5
The lobby decor is phenomenal
- 5/5
do not like the fact we have to pay for parking
- 3/5
The Hot tub water was dirty with foam that filled half the tub surface , like effluents from a polluting factory. Front desk is understaffed. The guy manning the custom breakfast station is awesome and works hard. Parking is a disaster $27/night for this spot is ridiculous. I did not know it would not have booked this place. Also parking rate varies daily. Room interiors were impeccable and clean
- 5/5

The rooms were great. Clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly. Made to order breakfast is an excellent touch! Love the decor of the hotel. Definitely recommend and would return.

The main issue we had was transportation from the airport. Don’t book this hotel if you are expecting a complimentary shuttle from the airport.

Embassy Suites does not disappoint!! Clean large rooms, pool and hot tub, made to order breakfast!! Local shuttle transportation to metro and/or airport. Excellent front desk customer service!

Great Room, food was good and very friendly staff. Recommend as the place to stay.

The hotel was very nice but the rooms could have been cleaner. We seen a few roaches in our room and the furniture was not vacuumed and cleaned. Plus the air conditioning didn’t work as well. Also, during happy hour the cheese cubes were served moldy.

Then property has a surface parking lot that only serves the hotel. You are charged parking by a third party company at $27 per night. It must be done via phone as a separete transaction. Come on Hilton, its a hotel not an amusement park. Do better.

Breakfast and Pool was very good, did not like the paid parking aspect.

The only negative is that parking isn’t free and it’s $28 a night!

I live 1 mile away but in the process of moving. So because my furniture was gone i needed a place to stay to complete the move. Been there many times in the past. However this stay was just ok. I did not like the parking fee. Cleanliness was fine until i took a shower and behind comode full of mold. Tv in bedroom did not work. Complained and they did nothing. Breakfast was great. Probably wont stay again they never acknowledged the broken tv. Nor did they change our room.

There was no wi-fi. I informed the front desk on the evening after my check-in the guy didn't arrive to resokve the issue until checkout the following day.

I wish there was more lighting in the rooms… & they don’t accept cash or Apple Pay. Bartender was Alittle sassy , but I get it since he’s stressed for Vday weekend. Lastly I have never heard of a hotel where you have to pay for parking :/

Basic airport hotel. I generally like Embassy Suites but this is not one of their better ones. I booked and prepaid from Europe but when I got here, there is some kind of parking scam. You're supposed to download a code and pay some third party directly. In order to get food, you had to order at the bar. This didn't work as there was only one person at the bar and the line was fifteen minutes long just to get the "evening reception" drinks which were much less interesting than at other Embassy Suites. The furniture is tacky and dated and not worthy of a Hilton property. Hilton needs to get someone in to upgrade this facility!

Only issue is the parking pay every day a different amount is insane

Clean and friendly staff

Amazing facility, competitive price. Type of hotel you dont mind spending time at

The bartender was the best thing about this place. I wish I could remember her name! But the front desk person was rude, maintenance rude, cooks rude! They just need to retrain or rehire!
