    The carpet is dirty and the breakfast is scarce. We stayed 2 nights and at the second morning, long lines of poeple and not much food left to eat, even boiled eggs are out.

    The location, staff, and the airport shuttle are the only good thing about this hotel if I’m being brutally honest. The beds are not that comfortable, and more importantly the hotel takes every chance to charge extra on things that other hotel don’t charge for (example; why on earth would you charge your guests a hefty parking fee on top of the room rate?) the breakfast was also below average.

    Shuttle stops around 11 PM if your flight is late you pay for transportation no helpfull and not stating that in here.. I booked for the shuttle and the shuttle didn't operate like other hotel so paid extra.. Usually I like hyatt place but this one is leaning toward ok won't stay again Also some creepy person was in the hallway and smells weed

    The staff were polite and the shuttle was good. The pool was filthy. The depth marker signs were filthy above the water line and the pool floor was brown, especially around the filters. The elevator did not have a safety check certificate, it said to visit the office to view it which is highly unusual. The breakfast did not have any pork products, presumably because of muslim faith. This was not mentioned prior to booking and limited the breakfast options. The bed had a duvet but the duvet had no cover.

    The room was clean and comfortable. This is the first time I have been to a hotel and there was no body lotion in the room. The breakfast could have been better, the eggs were cold and the selection was very limited. There were no fruits or yogurt the two days that I was there. My husband asked for hot chocolate the night of our arrival; they only had tea. There was a parking fee.

    The shuttle from and to the airport is convenient and the drivers were helpful and pleasant. The room was spacious and clean. One of two elevators was not working leading to longer wait times. The breakfast was included, but the ambiance was not appealing to me and I decided to take an Uber and have breakfast in a diner 15 minutes away from the hotel. The hotel is located a couple of miles off the airport and in the middle of residential communities (condos, apartments, ...). For the price we paid and the fact that we only stayed one night to connect flights it was OK, but I would nonetheless try another hotel the next time.

    I booked this hotel after a long two days of international travel strictly because of the proximity to the airport and that it had a bar/restaurant on the property. It does not. There were holes in the sheets and black mold in the bathroom. I was able to change rooms, however that one was just as run down with red stains on the carpet and questionable stains on the couch. The bed was lumpy. Save your money on this outdated, dirty place!

    Breakfast was good, clean well stocked breakfast area. Shuttle service was great, on time and quick ride to airport. I would have liked to have used the pool as it looked good but it was full of noisy teenagers and it was later at night so I didn't. Overall, great hotel especially for the money, would be a return guest for sure.

    The room is okay. The bathroom exhaust fan is not working. The breakfast tables look cleaned but sticky. Some of the breakfast tables were rocking because the floor was not even. Foods and utensils ran out without re-filling. Try to avoid Hayat if you can!

    The staff was genuinely kind and helpful, especially when we had problems with our first room. The shower and hot water in the tub didn’t work at all, so they quickly moved us to another room. It was still an annoying inconvenience since we had to repack everything. The bedding was fresh and clean, which was a big plus, and the pool was nicely maintained. Unfortunately, the property felt understaffed and poorly managed in several ways. The elevators were unreliable—one was broken and the second wouldn’t even go up to the sixth floor. That forced us to take the stairs, which dumped us outside at the back of the hotel with no way to re-enter the main building from there. Not convenient, especially with luggage. Breakfast was the most chaotic part. The area was terribly managed, and the second the food came out it was like a feeding frenzy. People rushed the buffet and emptied trays quickly. I was apparently the only English speaker there during my stay, and the cultural differences in etiquette around the food were pretty noticeable. The rooms are basic. The TV is quite outdated—no streaming apps at all, just cable. Fine if you just want to flip channels, but limiting otherwise. One other note: there are Section 8 apartments right behind the hotel, and parking

    There are a LOT of construction workers staying here who are building data centers. They were nice guys, but their trucks take up a ton of space which made it hard to find parking in an already limited lot because their trucks go over the lines. One night they were tailgating in the parking lot as i circled around multiple times trying to find a spot to park my tiny mazda rental. Another night, the fire alarm went off at 330am due to a burst pipe and we all had to evacuate. The staff never came outside to tell us what was going on or that it was safe to come inside. We had to flag down a firefighter. The next day there was no running water. Finally, one night I asked for tea bags because this hotel has always had tea throughout the day - they outright lied to my face and said they didn’t serve tea. When I said I have stayed there before and there should be tea, the staff huffed and got me some tea from the back. Front desk staff did not care about guests.

    The pool area was a big hit with the kids, and we especially loved the patio just outside—it was the perfect spot for parents to sit and keep an eye on everything while still being able to relax. A small detail that made a big difference was the microwave in the lobby, which made it easy to heat up food without bringing smells into the room. The location was also incredibly convenient, with easy access to both the airport and the Metro. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely stay here again!

    Close to Innovation Center Metro stop. Breakfast in a small area was crowded. Many tables were not clean - please help each other by cleaning after yourself would be great. The manager was great with shuttle to the Village at Dulles Center, but its easily walkable too. Don't forget to call for a shuttle from the airport.

    The bed was the worst that I ever slept in my life. It had huge dents in it. I am so exhausted. I did not sleep at all. The bed should be thrown out and replaced. I wish I complained and switch rooms. I don’t know if the other beds would’ve been better if they’re all equally bad. Do not stay in room 426. It was the worst. Also, the phone does not work.

    We asked for some cue for restaurant around the hôtel, he said yes there are some! I had to ask him for name and direction otherwise, he would have not gave me any! At our departure at 6:15, no one showed up at the front desk for 15 minutes! We left the access card on the counter and left with the shuttle! At least, the shuttle driver was nice. The room was great. First, and last time at this hotel

    Expedia failed to book our room with the hotel for us but the hotel staff quickly made accommodations though the hotel was fully booked. After all the trouble, we did not get the correct type of room but the next day, they switched to the type of the room we needed and it was perfect. They were so friendly and willing to help that it made our stay special.

    Dining: Breakfast offerings could be enhanced with more consistent availability. Fresh fruit like bananas and the fruit bowl were available only one of the days during our stay, having these replenished regularly would be greate. The coffee flavor was quite light (felt like flavored hot water); a richer brew would be appreciated by coffee drinkers. Facilities: We noticed only one elevator was operational, which occasionally caused wait times. Rooms: The rooms were fairly clean and comfortable. Updating some of the furnishings could help modernize the space and match the quality of service.

    I stayed in room 203, The bathroom sink had a crack, the corner of tub where it meets the wall had black molds, the tub faucet the face plate was coming off, the pipe from wall to shower head had some type of white sticky material on it, the drywall where meet the tub had been lifted, the sofa was dirty, all through the night there were some mechanical noise. The room was very dark even with all the lights on, the place has not been renovated/repaired since 1990’s. I will never stay there ever.

    Such a terrible experience. Do not book this hotel… I wouldn’t even call it a hotel. It’s just a place. It looks like they converted a senior living home into a “place”. Rooms are musty, nothing worked except the lights. I just stayed up all night waiting for my flight time to arrive. Hyatt you should be ashamed of yourself. I wish I just slept on the airport floor.

    The shuttle took a long time to arrive at the airport despite multiple calls to the hotel. Several of us were outside for 40+ minutes in freezing cold temperatures waiting. Because of this I did not trust to use the shuttle the next morning for my flight. The hotel room was spacious but it felt a bit run down and disheveled. I was surprised after looking at pictures and reading reviews how the hotel appeared upon arrival.

    Exquisite hotel. Sara (Manager), the young Black woman working the morning (Amazing relational skills), the wonderful Afghani man that cleared the snow, were unforgettable. The rest of the staff was also excellent at the front desk, breakfast staff, room cleaners. I'm not easy to please but I found the whole experience fantastic. And I was there for a few weeks. Lots of time for them to mess up, but they didn't. A very comfortable, fairly priced, quiet, helpful hotel in a perfect location. i recommend it highly. Jeff Brown

    The only thing worth mentioning is that they say they have a shuttle bus, but it was running a bit late. The shower water handle was set in a manner that I could not point it in the direction of hot water. never saw this before. the result: lukewarm water shower in the evening and morning. I think this water handle was purposely set in a manner that the customer could not turn up the hot water setting. sad.     Let me start by saying you have to pay for parking, but they have limited spot. The host explained that they have their own private towing company, which is crazy. Additional cars cost even more. Breakfast was very very limited and honestly sad. The oatmeal tasted like tap water that had been sotting out for days and the orange juice was so separated that it was in layers. Ew. The rooms are large and spacious, which we loved, but they have old school ac/heat8ng units that took forever to heat up the room. As for amenities, the tv is very old (dont count on a smart tv. Bring a fire stick or something) and there wasn't even coffee in the room. Just two tea bags. The bathroom was extremely small, but clean. And the checkout host barely paid attention to anything. Overally, the hotel looks decent, but is definitely overpriced.

    The gal at the front desk needs more training and they need more than one person at from desk. We waited over 30 min to front desk. Plus she asked a friend to help her that was just hanging out at the bar area, I ask the girl if she was the manager and she said no I use to work here years ago. Really not how you do business.     This is a typical nicer upscale hotel close to the airport. Elevator access to rooms on each floor from inside of the building. No access to your room from the outside is always what makes it better. The only issue I had was being charged $4 for a bottle of water but the $4 on the cookie 🍪 tasted excellent. Other than that they had a robust continental breakfast which was pretty good each morning. They offered shuttle bus service staff too and from the airport and the front desk staff accommodated one of my requests. The rooms were nice, clean and organized and pretty big for the price. The neighborhood was definitely a bonus to me. Extra plus because they had a wooded area that had a walking trail. This gave me time to meditate and to relax in peace on this journey. Overall I would actually stay at this hotel again in the future.

    The staff was very friendly. They had a good amount of breakfast options. They allowed us to store some of our baggage after checkout so we could explore DC before our flight left. The shuttle person was very courteous and helped us with our bags to the terminal, it was very spacious (although my mother and I were the only passengers during our time slot). We had a double queen bedroom and it was very spacious and there was a refrigerator in the room and a microwave downstairs for general use. They also have a little café where snacks and small bites can be purchased. It is also close to a public rail terminal so the trains can be taken to explore DC in the surrounding areas as well.

    Located a couple of miles from IAD. Shuttle was prompt and quick. The female desk clerk was great, the male wasn’t so. Didn’t even acknowledge that customers were waiting to be helped.     Pathetic Staff, Terrible Service!! I booked a King bed but I got 2 Queen without any heads up or apologies. To make things worse, my room had a broken toilet flush which kept making dripping and flushing noises all night long. The complaint to the reception fell on deaf ears. Lastly, the Girl on the reception in the morning shift was rude and declined my request for checking out an hour late without even listening to me completely. The cleaning staff kept knocking sharp at 12 pm and then again at 12:05 pm. Worst stay of my life by a stretch.

    Only stayed for the night. Convenient for the airport stopover. Looked clean. Friendly staff. Thank you to the gentleman who gave us little breakfast bags as we had very early morning flight. One huge problem - have been charged 3 times by the hotel. Once for the room itself when booking, second for the deposit and when checking out we had a third charge, not sure for what.     We are regular Hyatt customers. This Hyatt brand was not upto Hyatt standards. We paid $250 for a night expecting Hyatt standards.     First off, we were initially given room 515, and it was really not clean at all. It smelled awful, like there had been dogs bathing in there or something. We asked to change the room, and they did move us to another one, but the second room was just superficially clean. Everything was sticky—the door was sticky, the chairs were sticky, the sink was sticky. It was obvious they hadn’t properly cleaned the place. Then, when it came to the complimentary breakfast, there were no labels on the food at all. You had to guess whether something was beef or chicken or whatever it was, which was really inconvenient.

    I stayed for a night and really enjoyed my stay. It was clean, quiet, and easy to find parking. The staff were great and checked me in and out smoothly. I bought a sandwich at night when I came in and it wasn’t good and didn’t eat it, the next morning I brought it to the front and the staff were really nice about refunding me. The buffet breakfast was nice. The only thing I would say is that they could consider touching up the wood paint on the furniture. The furniture itself is still in good condition but could use painting. I would stay again.

    My mom waited more than an hour for the staff to find her reservation. She had a fever, asked them to please do anything, she showed them the receipt of the hotel room I bought her. The manager showed up in pajamas and found the reservation right away. Mom woke up in the middle of the night with a cockroach on her forehead, went into the bathroom and found another in the sink.

    We have stayed here before flying out of Dulles and have always been pleased with this hotel. However, the hotel has started changing $15 for parking, which used to be free! They claimed that the closeness to the airport makes it easy for people to leave their cars here without parking but they always gave you a parking decal anyway! I believe it’s bad policy.

    There is a shuttle that you call to pick up from the airport on arrival and then its return to the airport is every hour on the hour (you book a slot at the front desk). You can also book the shuttle to go to a nearby area to eat. Check in was quick and the member of staff was polite, kind and friendly. There was an issue with the room I was given (there was already people in it) but this was dealt with quickly on return to the front desk and I was given another room. There are 2 elevators but only 1 worked the time I was there (can’t say if this is the norm). It didn’t hinder the stay at all. There is a pool and gym on the ground floor but didn’t use these. In the lobby area there are a few things for sale - some drinks, potato chips etc. There was coffee in the lobby too. Although there were signs on all the floors for vending, I didn’t manage to find anything, only ice machines. The room I had (301) was a large size with a seating area, king size bed, coffee machine and fridge. The room was only serviced once during the stay but that was fine (apart from no coffee but guess you can ask at front desk) The breakfast was between 6-9.30/10am and had a meat choice, potatoes, eggs and other things like a waffle maker. Plenty to start the day with. The hotel was around 10 minute walk to the metro (innovation center) and I felt safe during the day walking there and back. Would stay here again

    The staff overall was friendly, some more than others. I booked a regular King room and was put in an older handicap accessible room. The room was kind of musty, the closet door was broken and couldn't slide closed. The bathroom light was very dim. The shower partition was too short and water got all over the bathroom while showering. The bed was comfortable enough. Lots of places to plug in, which was great. Very spacious room.

    I really enjoyed my stay. Excellent location and clean hotel. I had a problem with the room cleaning. Nobody cleaned for the first two days. Apparently, the prior guest in my room had requested it not to be cleaned. When I caught up with one of the cleaners, it was very difficult explaining to her that I wanted my room cleaned because she didn’t speak any English. This happened two days straight with the communication breakdown but we eventually got things sorted.

    We had a generally pleasant experience at Hyatt Place Herndon Dulles Airport East. The customer service was warm and welcoming, and check-in was quick and hassle-free. Our room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with an updated bathroom and daily housekeeping that kept everything fresh. However, there were a couple of issues that impacted our stay. One of the elevators was out of service for most of our visit, which led to long waits and some inconvenience, especially during busy hours. More concerning was the indoor pool’s water temperature—it was extremely cold, to the point that my daughter became ill after swimming. This was disappointing, especially since the pool was a key reason we chose this hotel. Overall, the hotel offers good value and comfort, but I hope management addresses the elevator and pool temperature issues to improve the experience for future guests.
