Excellent and helpful staff

Comfortable

The location is very convenient, close to Dulles Airport, and the airport shuttle service was excellent with friendly and helpful staff. The room and bathroom were both spacious and clean, and breakfast was perfectly adequate. There was plenty of parking available. We were picking up a hire car, so having an Enterprise desk on site was extremely convenient. The staff member there was especially helpful and friendly. The bed was quite soft and a little lumpy – not terrible, but it could definitely do with an upgrade. The lighting in both the room and bathroom was very poor, although that does seem fairly standard across many hotels. The price was on the high side, but we chose it mainly for the convenience of having car hire on site, which ultimately made it worthwhile.

Spacious room. Good price especially for Northern Virginia. Like the fact that you have an efficiency unit, even though we didn't use it. I appreciated the desk. I am writing this from there now. I don't normally spend the time to write a review, but I really appreciate this Marriott. I can't think of anything.

Parking fee of $10 per night is terrible. Especially since it is hidden on Expedia(self parking available). Not even mentioned at check-in when they hand you a parking pass. They bill you after you leave.

This hotel is definitely one of the best in the area for comfort and service. The room is spacious enough, although the closet space isn't very large for hanging coats. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of food options. The fitness room has the essentials and is well maintained. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We especially appreciated the shuttle service. Although the laundry room was closed, there is one available. Overall, I’d happily come back!

Needs to do a better job of distinguishing itself from the other nearby Springhill Suites. I had called to get info about the airport shuttle (my main reason for choosing the hotel) and then booked online. I arrived to find they had a completely different schedule for the shuttle that meant I had to deal with a 5am taxi. I had not even known there were two of the same hotels nearby. It would not be difficult to have staff answering phones clarify by either asking if this is the address they are looking for, or making a similar statement. Left a sour taste in my mind when it comes to the brand.

Absolutely well stocked hotel, if any guests shall forget essentials my brother and I ensure food and health are where it should be.

Clean Room. We found the mattress to be very hard to our preference. Noisy at night with numerous bus tour groups staying and breakfast very crowded except Sunday morning. Overall, we liked the location and cleanliness.

They welcomed our pet with open arms! We would definitely stay here again and probably will.

Clean and spacious room with walk in shower. Convenient location with easy access to Dulles toll road, Reston town center, Herndon and Reston restaurants. Love the fact that they have hall monitors at night for safety and to keep the noise down! Will stay here again

We have stayed at this hotel and the Hampton Inn next door. At Springhill Suites, we had to pay for parking, check out was an hour earlier than Hampton Inn, and we could hear the people walking around the room above us. The two hotels share a parking lot, so having to pay $10/night for parking at one hotel but not the other was annoying. The rooms and breakfast are pretty much the same.

Clean room, courteous staff

The room was nice and clean. Spacious with the connected living room area which allowed work/school related activities to be comfortably completed. Staff has always been courteous, helpful and accommodating. Keep up the good works! The staff that has driven me to various destinations have been extremely nice to work with. The room was in good condition and clean. My mistake when booking, apparently they do not offer queen beds only two full size beds OR one king. Breakfast was ok but eggs and sausage were not hot either day (should have been). The parking lot was not cleared properly so parking was limited. They also charge $10 parking per day. Simply ridiculous.

Not much variety in breakfast

The breakfast could be better but the room was really clean.

The room was nice. The staff was nice. I did not have hot water for 2 days. I kept letting the front desk know and they kept telling me they would have it fixed. It never happened. I ended up checking out early and going to another hotel to have hot water. I had two co workers in a different room that had “hot water” but it was luke warm at best. You could have only the hot water on and still be cold after the shower/washing hands.

We only had a one-night stay but the room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfy and the manager on duty at the front desk was very courteous and helpful.

Wifi didn't work on the rooms, they said it was a malfunction a will be fixed on 1 or 2 days. Stayed 6 days, it never got fixed.

Big clean room, and restaurants nearby. They have an Enterprise car rental return there as well which is super helpful!

Internet was out and they would not change my room.

Hotel looked pretty new or renovated. Modern touches. Handicap room was on the second floor and half way down a long hall. Room had a sign for wheel chair but the bathroom had a tub and no bench.

First room had bed bugs resulting in itchy bites. We had to change to another room. The staff did give us money and soap to launder clothes. Not a good experience.

We only stayed for one night but it was just what we needed: a clean, nice room with nice staff.

Nice hotel and good breakfast. They offer free shuttle to airport and 3 miles around the hotel. Need to call in advance to get the van ready on time. Free shuttles very convenient to go nearby city center for dinning etc.

This is my go-to place to stay near Dulles. Clean, comfortable and great staff. I have no desire to pay for luxurious amenities i don't plan to use, so this Springhill Suites is just right for me.

Also, side note for cleaning staff: I arrived very late at night and I always set up my space when I arrive. I hung a fresh towel next to the shower, put a new washcloth out, etc. I didn’t shower until the following day around noon, after they had come to clean. I was surprised to see that they had taken the towels that hadn’t been used yet. If I had set them on the floor, I understand, but the towel was hung and the washcloth was still folded! Not a big deal or anything that affected my trip, but could have saved you the extra work! The room was very clean, breakfast was standard fare but tasty and good quality and appreciated that they had a bag check at the front desk for the morning that I checked out but didn’t have a flight until 8pm. Thanks for your hospitality!

Nevertheless, the hotels know all this, and could be more proactive on the part of their guests to make sure that we don't fall through the cracks! When we finally took a taxi to the hotel after standing in the freezing cold for almost an hour, we were told that our booking should have said that we would need to call for the shuttle (it did not). We were told that the hotel's website says that you need to call to summon the shuttle (it does not). It would have been clear from our booking that we paid with a foreign credit card and reside in Germany, so the staff could have contacted us via this app to inform us of the need to call for a shuttle upon arrival, but they did not. We fell through the cracks, which made the end of an already exhausting day even worse. However, the management did reduce our bill by an amount comparable to the cost of the taxi, which was the right thing to do, and the reason why this review is not more scathing.

Rest rooms doesn't have locks and there is constant noise from next room and it is very loud when you have a room a door between two rooms.

Had a good night sleep. Room is clean and quiet. Only complaint is water leaking from the shower stall to the floor because there is a gap in the bottom of the sliding door.

I would’ve gave my stay a 10 + rating but the hotel personnel dropped the ball. The previous guess nada a mess with popcorn, the bed lamp was defective and the bathtub has a poor drain stopper

The room is equipped with a comfortable sofa, microwave, mini fridge, two beds for my family to sleep in, and a nice desk for studying or working.

I had an amazing stay at the Springhill Suites. The hotel is a short distance from Dulles International Airport, and walking distance from a Target, restaurants, the Reston Town Center, and metro stop. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and kind and there is a free hotel shuttle that will take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. Complimentary breakfast was included. Rooms are very clean and quiet. Overall, it was a great stay!

Enjoy your sleep and great water pressure, but skip the breakfast and you'll come out on top.

We stayed in rooms 306 and 308 for 2 nights. Room 306 was very musty. After the first night my wife asked the lady from the front desk what could be done about this. She got very defensive and said that the whole hotel smelled the same and changing rooms wouldn't help. I guess the entire hotel smells musty and of mildew? We were offered a can a Febreze which we declined since adding perfume to mildew/mold doesn't really help IMO. After basically being told nothing could be done my wife then requested some extra towels and blankets as we are a family of 10 and the 2 connected rooms only came with 6 towels. The reception lady said maybe she could get something but we should have enough already. She did eventually get us a couple of extra towels but no extra blankets. I went down later in the evening and spoke with Mahek. She was very accommodating and was able to find an extra couple of blankets and some more towels. If I were managing the hotel I would have at least made some effort to mitigate the issue rather than saying that the whole hotel is musty. Running a dehumidifier during the day while we were out would have at least helped. The room really should have been dried out and had an ozone treatment to kill mold/mildew before being rented out to anyone. Since nothing was done by the hotel we made do with running the AC full blast all day while out to lower the humidity. It helped a bit but the room still smelled musty. We will look elsewhere.

Staff was great. Had a diverted flight, needed a place to stay unexpectedly. It was clean and ate and they drove us back to airport next morning.

Everything was great about our stay; however, the sofa bed was a little confusing and even though we got a king with a sofa bed, there were only towels for 2 people. We got that suite because we had 3 people in the room. It wasn't a huge deal, just a little strange. Oh, and there was only one trashcan in the room, which was in the bathroom even though there's an office area and a fridge and microwave. Didn't impact our stay, but it seemed like a strange decision.

price was good, bed slept excellent but the shower door slides towards you so you have to get in the shower to turn water on which is initially cold spraying on you. Next I didn't know that ai had an adjoining room, don't know whose on the other side &;since the hotel was full I couldn't change it. Couch had stains don't know what it was so didn't use it. Front desk was excellent very polite.

Absolutely loved this hotel! Large, updated bathroom. A desk for our teenager who loves drawing. Spacious, comfortable king bed. The sofa transformed into a trundle bed perfect for our two girls.

First of all, I booked this hotel by mistake due to Hotels.com. My search ONLY should have included hotels with airport shuttle to/from DCA airport. For some odd reason, this hotel was at the top of my search when they do airport transfers from IAD. Seeing the price was reasonable, I booked it while on the plane. I get to DCA, call for shuttle and it’s for IAD which I had no idea. I ask Hotels.com for a refund, they say no and they have to ask hotel. This hotel says no. Very disappointed with the service from both you all as hotels.com for deceiving me with even providing this hotel in my DCA search, and disappointed this hotel cared more about keeping my money than returning it based on an apps error. STAY AWAY!

Only thing is the breakfast is not that good

We stay SpringHill Suites by Marriott Herndon Reston because of the excellent service, especially the shuttle to the Dulles Internation Airport. If the shuttle is not available, the staff schedules and Uber. The only temporary problem is that the intersection of Spring Street and the Fairfax County Parkway is under constructions, so it is easy to miss the entrance on Spring Street.
