    Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was musty and everything, our clothes, the bedding, furniture all felt damp. Breakfast was supposed to be available until 9:30, however most of it was already put away by around 9. Our electronic room key stopped working twice and the plumbing inside the wall by our bathroom kept making a clanking noise that never stopped. The manager told us they are getting ready to remodel the rooms, including new plumbing. Great location and price.

    The room was not clean. There was bed bugs. It looked like a motel for homeless people. It smelled awful. The hallways were not that clean. Also the walls were filthy. Overall, I would give it a rating of a -7. This place needs to be fully inspected and updated. The rating listed is not accurate. It should be a 3 or 4. They were nice enough to refund my money. I ended up going to a 9 star hotel.

    I had a wonderful stay. The check-in process was easy and quick, and Don was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. As a solo traveler, I felt safe during my visit. They offered a full breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, grits, and more. The location was also convenient for exploring the surrounding area. I would definitely stay again.

    Room was clean and pleasant. Desk clerk (Don) exceptionally courteous and helpful. He did explain renovations were going on. No hand railing on outdoor stairs to get into the building. Sidewalk so uneven, I actually tripped and fell to the ground. I went to the desk clerk and asked for rest room to change in as I had already checked out (I had huge grass stains on my knees). He immediately got out a first aid kit so I could clean scrapes and cuts on my arm. Offered to let me back in my room though I did decline.

    The property looks great from afar; until you get into the rooms and they are atrocious: Mold on the bathroom ceiling, toilet paper stuck in holes where old towel bars use to be, toilet paper stuck in the peep hole in the entry door, bed head board incomplete and crooked on the bed frame, chewed up door trim going into the bathroom, tub spout leaking: I can go on but there were too many issues with this room that I think I've run out of space on my phone from all the photos I took. Online the hotel looks outstanding, in person it must be one of the worst I'be ever stayed in, honestly. Go check room #147. You will see what I am talking about.

    It a great place to stay if u had few more people there are couch beds indouble room. I sèe theee was a out pool look clean i dont knew if it was open yet but it was raining but fully snack machines, friend host but police are deep around area which is great but i kind of felt like they where following me and random men standing around actin like they wasnt police but cool to but im not no criminal nor person to be watch it was just me there but beside all that it was great i hope to stay again in future trips!!!@

    The good thing about this hotel is that it was a good location, clean, and the staff was friendly. The reason I rated it poor was the bathroom was small. The bathroom door hit the toilet when it was open and the hot water came and went.

    Quality Inns are generally hit or miss, this one was slightly above average. Seemed clean, plenty of reasonably lit parking. Short walk to 4 or 5 eating places. Room furnishings were old and worn, the door had large gaps. Bathroom was quite nice compared to the sitting area. The room price made it acceptable.

    My family and I were in town for a funeral and stayed here a couple of nights. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation. I think we stayed on the renovated side. The room was spacious. The beds were a decent size and very comfortable. What really made our experience was the service received from the staff. Everyone we encountered was very polite, and welcoming. Don was exceptionally helpful, accommodating, and hospitable. He helped us out when our keys were malfunctioning, and ended up giving us an overview of the hotel. Letting us know about the area, and dining options. Don was very welcoming, helpful, & funny, and made us feel like family. The woman who checked us in, was also very helpful and provided dining recommendations.

    Unsafe for single women. Property, stairways and hallway carpets are very dirty and smell horrible. Room furniture is very outdated and falling apart. Bathroom fixtures broken, paint peeling, lots of holes, the only saving grace of this place is beds were comfortable, linens were soft. And the manager was great. Other front desk staff were terrible, scary and too inappropriate to female guests. Door key cards constantly locked and couldn’t get in room. Had to take multiple trips to front desk to get fixed. Room door broken and didn’t shut correctly. Had random charges from hotel no one could explain. But manager eventually fixed it. The smell of weed was strong everywhere. Cops were there often, Do not recommend

    Livibg/sleeping area of the room was clean and well kept. Until you walk in the bathroom. Completely dilapidated with paint chipping in sink and tub. The best part was no hot water (or even warm) for the duration of our stay over the course of a sporting event. None of our athletes were able to shower. No discount offered for the major inconvenience.

    Horrendous!! Wifi was terrible, TV out for hours, and I was definitely not getting in that shower! I could have asked for another room, but i would have to ask for an escort. They escorted a woman out at breakfast who was not a guest. I could go on but it was a lesson learned you get what you paid for. No THIS WAS ACTUALLY EVER PRICED.

    Front desk gentleman was great. The room was awful, we checked in, and it looked like the room was like one of those cheap hotel rooms involved in prostitution and drugs amongst other crimes. I am not one who is super picky, but this room was so bad we left. The shower was full of mold, the walls and ceilings were peeling, the drawers were missing pull handles, the door from outside didn’t close properly and looked like at one time it had been rammed and destroyed, then a crappy attempt was made to repair it. The rooms on the website looked great, however, the room, 125, reminded me of the Bates Motel. It was awful. The only reason I gave it any stars is because of the gentleman who checked us in. He was a pleasure. I have stayed in some not so great places, but our room at this motel was uninhabitable.

    I gave 1 star simply because I came in late for my reservation and they no showed it. Front desk tells me there’s nothing they can do to reverse it and I need to pay for another room. They say contact the manager to get a refund on the original reservation in which he denies. So I paid for 3 nights and only got 1. Original reservation was for two nights Friday - Sunday and I arrived Saturday morning at 6am

    Front desk was very friendly and helpful. I got a smoking room and it was a large room and it was clean as far as the bed and floor. The TV was new, fridge worked, microwave was clean plenty of pillows. Only complaint would be the bathroom shower has paint chipping off very bad but they are remodeling and we were told that would be fixed. As a whole, I had a pleasant stay, not loud or crowded and for the price it I would stay again.

    Room: tired, floor not clean, the bathroom shower curtain was not put on correctly, we had to try to figure it out ourselves. The tub was old with coating that had peeled off. The bed was comfortable, and clean. Parking was convenient, right outside our room, but it felt a little sketchy, (there were people hanging out in their cars and the parking lot) It was quiet, but I felt a little uncomfortable going out to my car after dark

    Shower was broke, toilet over filled on an empty flush. They moved us rooms, to a room that card reader didn’t work. Had to go back to desk after driving 9hrs at 1 in the morning. Next night the door still wasn’t fixed couldn’t get into our room after being at the race track all day and night at midnight. Was not a good stat at all.

    The manager on duty was the least helpful individual I’ve ever dealt with at a hotel. There was a mixup with our reservation and his only reply was we shouldn’t have used Travelocity. We should’ve booked direct through them. Travelocity did get the situation worked out. Additionally, the rooms look very rundown. The bathroom fixtures were all chipped, which gave them a dirty look. There was hair still in the shower. There was rust on the doorway into the bathroom. The facility needs updated and maintained better. I had used that hotel several times, but not in recent years. I will never use it again!

    They are very friendly and great customer service. If you’re really picky, a snob and don’t care about points or the cost, this is not the place for you. It’s clean, quiet and comfortable. The’d rather stay here for half the price of a room at a Hilton, IHG or Marriott property. I will be booking here for the next show even if there’s openings at a chain hotel.

    The lobby was beautifully deceiving. The front desk clerk was absolutely amazing, kind and helpful. The hotel/motel itself was an open style motel/apartments style place. There were sketchy people walking around aimlessly, couple of meth heads walked into the lobby asking for more towels while i was checking in.. They were denied.. the room was absolutely DISGUSTING, stains all over the bed and bathroom. Had to wear shower shoes the entire time.

    The adjoining rooms were apparently being used by drug dealers. The amount of traffic throughout the night was never ending. The loud sounds of people talking laughing and yelling was absolutely ridiculous and completely unacceptable. It was abundantly clear the staff were condoning this and no action was taken against them and they literally stayed loud all night long to early morning around 4:30 AM.

    We booked 2 rooms. Hoping it would be a connecting room, but it was 2 separate rooms. We wasn't aware that we had to ask for two connecting rooms. We assumed it was two rooms beside each other because it said it on there that they had adjoining/connecting rooms. So we ended up using one room and returned the other key. We talked with expedia hoping to get a refund on the room we didn't use. Now we are just waiting for the property manager to confirm. The room we stayed in was dirty. The floor was dirty. Dead cricket on the floor and on the couch bed. The bathtub had paint chips and the jet in the tub didnt work. The air vent in the bathroom didnt work. The coffee maker was dirty. The fridge works very well. It keeps freezing our drinks. Yes we even adjust it and it still froze our drinks. The towels had some minor stains. The beds were comfortable, but they were small. We thought they were queen size, but we read it wrong. Only thing we enjoyed about the stay is that everyone had room. It was a total of 6 people. The air conditing works great. It was quiet and convenient to the stores and restaurants. The shower works very well and stayed hot. It was affordable. The pictures on google doesn't compare to reality. I wouldn't go back there and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but if you want something affordable and something to lay your head then this is the place.

    My room didn’t have any hot water, the accommodations were generally in poor condition/dirty, the hotel vibes in general were scary. Seems like there are lots of long term stayers here and several of them were very creepy to the girls in our group and other groups staying at the same time. There was a shooting at the hotel the night we arrived. Breakfast was solid, but that’s about all the hotel had going for it. We had 4 rooms booked and none of them were in good condition. All the rooms smelled mildewy. All in all, way too expensive for what you’re getting. I think we paid an average of $120/night/room. I would have felt more comfortable paying about half that. Stay somewhere else and hopefully avoid all the sketchiness here.

    The property was in poor condition at best. They didn’t have extra pillows or blankets for anyone. The breakfast staff didn’t show up, so there wasn’t any hot breakfast. The door to our room had more room around it than I felt was safe for my family. You could have stuck an entire hand under the door.

    I had a last-minute delay that made me pick a hotel for the night. This hotel was near any food source that you would want! It was right next to multiple big restaurants and fast food. They accommodated me and my dog they were overly friendly offering assistance for anything the room was very clean with lots of room a refrigerator and microwave. It was a safe area and other guests were friendly as well. The guy that checked me in told me all about the area upgrades that they are working on for the hotel and extremely excited about his job and seemed happy. The guy that checked me out in the morning was also extremely happy, upbeat and friendly just what people need.!! I will definitely look for that hotel again if I’m in that area!

    It's an OK stay in the area. The hotel is undergoing renovations and is a work in progress to be kind. The access doors to the back of the hotel don't lock which is a bit concerning. No shortage of odd looking "guests" in the area. Plenty of signs about video surveillance but it might be better to prevent people from entering rather than hope someone is watching. Other reviewers commented on safety concerns and I see why. The room was fine, internet worked well and breakfast had a number of hot choices that were better. than standard midrange hotel fare. For the money, there are better choices in the area or better areas to choose from.

    There was the most friendly and accommodating staff here. Our room was very clean and the air conditioner was the best I have ever had in any stay anywhere. It was loud at times from other guest but be managed and will stay here again.

    The bathroom door frame was rusty & crusty. The tub was peeling excessively, as was the sink. Free hot brkfst was cold & had to be reheated multiple times by the staff member: were watery & cold. The public road in front of hotel had motorcycle speed demons racing down it & it was close to 2am when there was some semblance of quiet. The staff was courteous & tried to fix the problems they could fix-thatbwas the only thing good about our stay. Y'all have been warned.

    I got there and the room they gave me was dirty. Then once I got to the new room, the remote for the tv had dead batteries in it. The tv channels were all screwed up too so the channel numbers weren’t accurate to the guide. The ac unit barely cooled the room. And one of the keys stopped working and I couldn’t get into my room at one point. Just an overall horrible experience.

    Room was absolutely disgusting with a wad of hair and poop in bathroom and entrance on floor. Smoking in the room made it smell horrible (to the point I felt like I wld smell when went to work). While walking to room, group of ppl were out around all the doors that portrayed a certain group of ppl that did not give me a feeling of comfort. Walls were paper thin and was able to hear everything said by the next door guests. TV did not work but gave statement of the ability to use Apple air and goggle to mirror (but my specific tv was not an option to connect my phone to. When picked up phone to call front desk……phone did not work (I checked connections-it was connected to wall and phone). I was too afraid to walk to desk area bc of perceived guests and surroundings so I was unable to inquire if there was a better room with different neighboring guests and clean interior. Pictures on internet were nothing like what you got! Free breakfast……no thank you…I could only imagine what it was prepared in and around.

    Receptionists was kind. My issues was the overall appearance of the room. I’m not a fan of rooms with rusty tubs and what appeared to be some type of primer spots in the tub and sink. There was also a used bar of soap in the tub, which I felt was nasty. I would have asked for my money back if it would have been an option and left. Anyways. That’s my review. To each their own.

    If you’re looking for a cheap stay then come here but don’t expect it to be great. The lobby is nice so that’s super misleading for the rest of the property.. The door locks are old so the key cards don’t even work. We had to change rooms and key cards multiple times. The floors were dirty; our feet were black so don’t walk around barefoot. The microwave is super old from like the 80s. The dresser in the room was broken, the door of one of the drawers was against the wall. The bathtub and the sink were peeling. The maintenance workers looked like they were on drugs. The only good part was the super nice lady who served breakfast, the food was decent.

    When checked in the door wouldn’t open. Had to get someone to open it for me. Dead battery on door. Maintenance said it would take him a hour and twenty minutes to get to there to fix door. 2 hours went by, had to call front desk. Maintenance came and couldn’t fix it be another 30 minutes. I had to shower and get ready to leave. Big inconvenience to have this happen especially when the battery was hanging out of the door when I first arrived.think they would have had it fixed before renting the room out again.

    I have no complaints. the room was nice and comfortable. the front desk was always friendly and helpful. I stay at other Quality Inns in other areas of NC and this one in Hickory, NC is the best of them all. I really enjoy their breakfast. the lady who cooks and maintains the breakfast service has been there several years and she is amazing. her breakfast is delicious and she is so friendly. I hope her dedication to her job is recognized with salary increases. Hickory Quality Inn has the best breakfast of other Quality Inns in NC

    The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel needs major updates, repairs, new doors, new carpets, paint jobs, etc. The hotel lobby and breakfast room are very nice and up to date. The doors to the outside are left unlocked at all times. No passkey is needed to enter, which is troubling. This could be a nice hotel, if many changes and updates are made.

    So the room booked wasn't anything very fancy but at first I had difficulty unlocking my door at first. The room B115 was a smoking room like requested but while using the bathroom I realized housekeeping isn't through and as detailed as expected. The open undercarriage of the sink had cobwebs and a lot of dust collecting. Looking infront of me to stand in shower Wall molding clearly wasn't safe to lean against and obviously had formally been damaged and not really repaired. Finally the worst thing I've ever had happen to my husband and myself during our stay. So around 2 in the early morning my husband was awake watching TV and couldn't sleep while I was sleeping outta the sheets and I was sleeping in the buff. Someone comes trying to unlock and enter our room. After he had listened to walking outside the room and the doornob was being aggravatedly wrestled with for about 5 minutes. Then footsteps. My husband had opened up the door with no one on the other side of the door but a suitcase alone. 5 more minutes go by calmly then the door to room flys open as a complete stranger flings open the door to walk in to see my butt-naked infront him waking me up at this moment while my husband rushes the man out of the room and saying you got the wrong room number! Something to be considered is did the stranger go back to the front desk gave them our room number which they just gave the stranger our room key without cross checking his identfication with my personal information given.

    Checked in was issued a second floor room. Went to go to the room and there is no elevator. My wife had injured her knee the week before and cannot climb stairs. Went back to the desk to request a 1st floor room and told none available. The side entry was dimly lit and I did not feel safe. I turned my key back in and left to find another hotel
