Super comfortable beds!!! Very nice breakfast.

Rooms need updating. Water pressure not great. Breakfast options not horrible but the area was very small and congested where breakfast was served.

The coffee maker didn't work. And a chair leg was broken in our room, I fixed it. But it was nice enough for the price I guess. Smelled someone smoking marijuana in their room. The elevator was way slow, but it was peaceful and quiet.

When we got there, an exterior door was jammed and would not open so we had to take our things all the way around the front of the building to go into our room. The microwave in our room did not work. We unplugged it re-plugged it and still no power. I was very concerned about the exterior door, not opening because it was a fire escape and I mentioned that to the front desk person, and they said they would look into it, but did not seem very concerned.

Just stayed one night. It is an older hotel but it was well maintained and clean. It was good enough for what I needed. Room door could have been a bit more sealed .

It was fine. The room wasn't what I booked online but it was decently cleaned. The bathroom was extremely tiny and I was very surprised to see that the windows on the upper floors could be opened. Definitely something you should be aware of ahead of time if you are traveling with children.

They couldnt get rooms cleaned fast enough. Mostly day laborers staying here. Terribly noisy. Trains, cars, etc. Road it is on is not a main road, but, everybody and big trucks use it.

It was the smallest King bedroom we ever stayed in, so the space felt tight to move around in.The bed was very comfortable and the walk-in shower was the best ever! However, the floor tile was very old and dark and needs to be replaced. The parking was tricky as the hotel was quite full. The staff couldn't have been nicer 'tho not all were fluent in English. We found them to be very kind and friendly with every encounter. The breakfast room was cold but the eggs and sausage were delicious. ☺️

Overall the stay was very nice, rooms were nice, area was quiet, we felt safe and for the most part the staff was nice and friendly. Cleaning staff seemed short and not as nice. My husband left out so house cleaning could clean but they never came and restocked, he had to go and ask for new towels and when asked for tissue the next morning, it seemed like and inconvenience. However we would stay here again.

It was kind of noisy the weekend we were staying. There was a crew of construction workers outside and in the hotel who where loud. The room was kind of small, but adequate. Breakfast was okay.

The room was clean and the staff was nice but the bed was absolutely uncomfortable, the pillows were terrible (either too hard or completely flat), the traffic noise was obnoxious and could be heard until about midnight and the hairdryer was so slow that air drying would have been faster. The WORST thing about the experience was someone decided to blast music at 5 am in the morning somewhere in the hotel. I was unable to sleep while staying there. Do not recommend.

Wall are thin and floors squeak making a full night sleep quite challenging with noisy neighbors. Staff was all super friendly and helpful. It was safe, clean, and conveniently located. Was one of the less expensive options in Hickory and was evident that I got what I paid for.

A lot of late night activities and traffic. Occupants in room next to mine was searched by police and later 6 law enforcement individuals were in hallway to make arrests.

Very nice and clean hotel. The surrounding area is safe and offers a LOT of restaurants and entertainment. The rooms are spotless and smell clean and refresh. The bed and pillows were perfect for a restful night's sleep. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was ok, the bagels were old tasting, i was able to get a fresh batch of the scrambled eggs - those were good and hot. The lady tending to breakfast was very nice too. The check in staff in the evening is very pleasant but the morning check out was not so friendly. I had asked for a receipt and her response was you have a zero balance, I had to ask a second time for a receipt.

The hotel was in a convenient location, close to shopping and restaurants. My only interactions with the staff were during check-in and check-out, but they were still great. Parking in the front can be hit-or-miss at night, though there’s plenty of parking behind the building. The lobby was nice and tidy. My room, however, was a little dirty and questionable.

The beds were hard. They charged me 100.00 deposit and it has been a week and I still have not received my deposit yet. The breakfast was cold powdered eggs and sausage. You are able to make a waffle. So, that is a plus. Someone had a dog that barked all night. I do not recommend this hotel.

Overall the stay was good enough. It is a 3 star facility, so do not expect much. My room had a smell, not a bad odor, but a definite smell that I could have done without. Breakfast is in a small room with limited tables, but the waffles are good. Front desk staff were friendly. Close to a number of restaurants. Parking is a little limited, and you will most likely have to park in back of the building...there is a back entrance to the hotel.

The customer service staff was helpful but the maid service was abysmal. Whomever made up the bed in the room did not leave clean sheets on the bed. The shower door in the bathroom was ill-equipped to actually prevent the water from getting outside of the shower.

All doors besides main door are key entry & there's cameras in both lots and at every door, inside & out. Pretty quiet considering it's by a highway.

Did not use laundry. Just beginning to learn about Hickory after recent house purchase. Rooms were very clean. Only complaint was the lack of hot water for a shower. All other amenities were intact. Staff was pleasant and there was actually hot breakfast at 8 AM. Kitchen staff was very attentive. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The AC in the room kept turning its self off when turned on that is about the biggest compliant. And one listing said a hot tub in every bathroom which was a lie there wasn’t even a tub in the room we got so that was disappointing but I know I would be with that lol

Immediately upon entering, there was a foul smell in the lobby, and in the room. It was difficult to breathe. Without unpacking or sitting down, we went to the front desk to cancel the reservation and find different lodging. The adjustment for the A/C was on the window unit, that would indicate how outdated the hotel is and possibly the comfort level.

Bathroom paper was peeling from some areas but clean otherwise. Carpet was worn. Prefer no carpet.

Our commode was stopped up and when the room was cleaned no one bother to unstop it. We kept asking for a plunger and we were going to plunge it ourselves and the 3 times we went to the desk checking for the plunger the person on the desk was talking to a gentleman and we never got it unstopped and suffered through it all Friday night. Nor did she report it to the incoming staff.

The check in process was quick and easy. The front desk lady was very nice. The hotel smelled cleaned. The room are very well kept. The shower is amazing as well as the bed. Housekeeping was kinda annoying. Knocked out the door multiple times then decided to walk inside while we were asleep. The overall stay was great though. We didn't try the breakfast but it honestly didn't smell the greatest.

Also a lot of construction workers stay there.You could hear people through the walls, getting ready water running elevators shaft was noisy! Even though the place has been remodeled they didn't do a very good job remodeling it! The price of course is very affordable that's the only good thing I can say besides the staff being very nice!

I stayed at Sleep Inn before and I liked it. But this was my Worst stay. When you entered the room is had a Funny Smell. The carpet was damp in some area's. I took a picture and one bed side had mildew on the carpet.

Although this hotel does not have a pool onsite they have a membership at the YMCA which is nearby. No problem for me since I was there on business and did not have time for a swim anyway. Great location and very quiet considering the close proximity to I-40.

Elijah at the front desk was personable and very professional. I arrived late at night and the hotel was very accommodating to provide a pet friendly room for me and service dog close to an exit.. Thay had a designated pet space for potty breaks and the room was spotless. Breakfast was decent and overall a great stay.

The service at the hotel was good. The room stunk as they said they just washed the carpet. It had a strong smell but I would not say a nice one.

I was told there would be a $50 deposit even though I reserved this and paid for this room on Expedia. I was also getting two queen beds from Expedia and although I showed the paperwork to the woman at the counter the room she gave me had one full bed. When I called down to the front desk she said the paperwork said one bed it did not it said two queen beds. I chose not to argue with her. As soon as I walked into the room it was overwhelmingly disgusting smelling it smelled dirty I don't know if it was from animals or because they don't ever clean the carpet I have no idea but it was disgusting I had to open the window on the second floor just to air the room out. The people above me were stomping around until 2:00 in the morning. I would never ever ever ever get a room at this hotel again.

I was traveling for a work event and the recommended hotels were over double the price. This location was maybe a block away and had good ratings. The check in was quick, the room was ready early and was clean. My only minor complaint is the bed pillows. Other than that, I was impressed with the quality for the price!

Beds are not comfortable. The two in our room seemed as if they were going to tip if laying in one spot too long. There was a hole in the floor under the carpet in the middle of the room. Behind the furniture/where the refrigerator sits was absolutely filthy. The chair in the room was stained. The flooring border and walls were not clean as well. We would have found somewhere else to stay if we were staying longer than one night.

Well.. there was a herd of elephants above our room and a very active child next door but other than having a sound proof room.. that could happen anywhere. The breakfast offered was excellent and the staff most friendly and courteous.

I came to stay at this hotel because my best friend’s wedding was the weekend of my stay and the venue wasn’t far from this location. Upon arrival, all seemed well. The front desk appeared friendly and they got me checked in right away. Getting to my room, it appeared clean, but as soon as I got to the restroom I suspected something might be wrong. The towels were filthy. They looked as if they had not been changed from whoever stayed in the room previously. My girlfriend went down to the front desk to ask for new towels and the woman at the front desk gave her an attitude about not having brought up the dirty towels with her even though my girlfriend explained to me that she had been kind to the woman at the front desk and just asked for replacement towels and was not complaining. My girlfriend came back with new towels and brought the old ones back. Upon further inspection of the room, the bedding was also filthy. There were blood and dirt stains all over the blankets and sheets. I brought these up and when I spoke to the woman at the front desk she was apologetic, I was appreciative of that but had no time to leave a complaint as I had little time at this point to get ready for my the rehearsal dinner for my friend’s wedding. Let me be clear, the bedding was given to me to redress my own bed. There was no offer to have us change rooms and there was no offer to have house keeping go back over the room and redress the bed. We spoke to the front desk many times, left unhappy.

Check in and out were quick and simple. Room was well appointed and clean.

Moved from first room bc carpet was disgusting.A/C didn’t work. My 2 yr old’s feet were brown just from walking around in minutes.Room smelled of urine. 2nd room A/C didn’t work/maintenance(the general manager/owner)came from another hotel to unlock room waited in heat bc no A/C in hallways & no air circulation. It is about 90 degrees in hallways at any given time. I stayed a year ago & hallways were same. Was told that maintenance gone for day so there were no other options. This is unacceptable conditions considering it was 88 degrees outside. This hotel has really been rundown in the past year. The carpet in hallways are disgusting as well with spills & just every day use & not being cleaned. I will not stay here again!

Perfect overnight stay for a business trip. Even got a free appetizer on the hotel at a restaurant down the street. Very friendly check in and clean hotel to stay at.
