- 5/5
Very clean and the staff were very helpful.
- 2/5
Breakfast available but not included. Hallways Smelled of the Devil’s Lettuce. Property outdated and not the cleanest. Good size rooms and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
Restaurant was not open, but you could eat in the bar. The food was not good at all. There was no flavor. Everything tasted bland. And everything was served in a clear see-through plastic cup with a lid they couldn’t even give you a real glass. I would never return to this best western and I will never be referring best western to anyone.
- 4/5
The area was very secured and the front counter staff were extremely friendly and professional. My only neg was the area had nothing within a safe walking distance but was near the interstate so if you did arrive with a vehicle, access was simple. The bed was soft and clean as well as the shower and towels.

Close to airport

It’s a good stay for couples who are in town for a couple of days. Nice place to rest your head. Easy parking and nice rooms.

Bathroom and entry floors dirty. Room too cold; it wouldn't warm up. Even after requesting daily maid service, they didn't make the bed,put out fresh towels, vacuum the dirty carpet. Room is Depressing!! Damaged furniture would take only 1/2 hour to sand and fix. Not worth the money.

The staff were okay, I couldn’t really find spoons, the place was nice, but keep in mind that they do charge for breakfast

Shower had no pressure. Awful.
- 5/5
Fresh cooking for breakfast. Parking close to entrance
- 3/5
The rooms are cheaper than that other hotels. The staff is nice. More thank half the dryers didn’t work so it took forever to do laundry. Plus it’s $7 for a single load. $3.50 to wash and dry. There’s no breakfast like they say they offer. It’s only green tea and coffee from 6am-9am. The key cards like to stop working often and the rooms aren’t as clean as they should be.

We would prefer breakfast in a restaurant than a bar. The parking lot seemed safe. The elevator was noisy and you wondered if you would get to your floor. Alarm clock in the room didn't work.

Great attentive staff.

Room was clean. But towels may have smelled dusty. Everyone was nice. The bartender and restaurant food were excellent. Check in and check out were simple

Room was clean and organized. Internet worked reliably. Charlie's restaurant had good food with reasonable prices. They will not check you out until a housekeeper checks your room. Only then will the check you out and refund your deposit.

The reception was less than welcoming. The receptionist was sitting immersed on his phone, acted bothered by my arrival. Conveniently lied about the shuttle (which, by the way DOES NOT EXIST). The room was clean but ran out of hand soap in the middle of the night. Leas than ideal stay, even for the money

No hot water at night… no water at all during the day! Elevators struggled to move. Breakfast was extra starting at $12/person. Unable to adjust my fee paid through a 3rd party
- 1/5
I would not stay in this hotel again, it smelled a lot of marijuana, the corridors were very dirty, the cards to open never worked until we went to reception to have them activated. I asked for cleaning service in my room and they didn't do much, they just took out the trash and stocked shampoo and towels. Without forgetting that when making the reservation it said that breakfast was included and it was not true.
- 3/5
The positive: The check-in process was seamless and the staff were friendly and professional. The negative: the room and bathroom was not very clean. There was different textures of hair in the bedroom and bathroom. The surfaces were not very clean and appeared smeared as if they did a rush job.

Great room, clean!
- 2/5
Very out dated and dirty. Lamps were all rusted at the base. Clothes rod was bent in have. Nightstand was all beat up. Front staff was never there. Had to outside to front of the hotel to get some one to help me at the front desk. I will never come back or recommend.
- 4/5
Public spaces, elevators, restaurant need updating. Room was fine.
- 3/5
Very nice place to stay. My complaint would be regarding the parking reservation pass they give you for your vehicle. If you and your spouse have 2 vehicles for whatever reason they only give you one parking pass. You apparently have to book another reservation if you want another parking pass which is completely unnecessary in my opinion . So I have to pay for a second room just for an additional pass?? This is an issue that needs to be addressed. The parking lot in this case was no where close to being full, they could have easily given me a second pass without a problem. Please address this issue with the staff. If it were not for this issue I would have rated this much higher.
- 5/5
Everything was great we enjoyed our stay!!!
- 2/5
Killed two big bugs that were on the bed
- 4/5
The front desk staff was friendly, but offered no information about breakfast or the location of the restaurant. The room was very clean, so kudos to the maids! The mattresses felt okay at first, but you could feel the bed frame and that made for less than comfortable sleep. All in all, the cleanliness was almost the best part. The only thing that topped it was the bartender/ server in the lounge/bar. He was working alone and was literally jogging from the bar to the tables, manning the bar while taking and serving food orders. Great service!!!
- 4/5
Great Hotel
- 2/5
Dirty and reeked of weed. Did not eat breakfast
- 5/5
Right price for the room. Very clean, not particularly fancy or anything but nice basic place. Microwave and mini fridge, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, coffee and coffee maker in room. Helpful front desk. Easy to get on 294. Plenty of shops in the area.

In short, it’s a glorified truck stop. Was here for a month. My card keys failed no less than 10 times, became normal to expect I couldn’t get in and go back to front desk for new keys. Very noisy next to the freeway. Amenities are limited. Gym is ok, but not a lot of options. Place is dated and just poor compared to any hotel constructed in the last 30 years.
- 3/5
Far from points of interest. No healthy food options on site or nearby. No laundry facilities.
- 5/5
My go to hotels for everything
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and adequate. Rooms facing highway are noisy.
- 4/5
Friendly staff
- 3/5
It is an older property that seems to be going through a renovation. It would have been helpful to have known that when making a reservation. They have no vending machines. I asked that counter clerk if they have bottled water for sale on the premises. He said "No, but we have complimentary water over there in that container on the counter". I had to fill two paper coffee cups with water to take to the room. Even the cheap seeding hotels at least have vending machines. Crazy.
- 4/5
Convenient
- 3/5
The hotel is seculded from the main area. There is no near bus or metro station. The closest one is 25 min walk. Either it has to be self driven car or uber/lyft. The hotel staff are ok types. My room was not cleaned and i had to ask them to get it cleaned. Nothing around the property - no grocery store, no restaurants and the downtown is quite far off. I felt the price was higher compared to amenities that they have.
- 5/5
Good service
- 3/5
It was a fine place to stay for the night. Clean, felt safe. Plenty of parking (free), which was very appreciated. However, the staff wasn’t very accommodating. (Example: $20 fee to check in one hour early, despite room already being ready. Told us they couldn’t give any extra pillows because the front desk staff “doesn’t know where they are and no housekeepers work at night, etc.) For the price, and based on pictures, I expected it to be nicer. The highway outside can be heard loudly inside the rooms.
- 2/5
The staff was nice but the rooms were outdated and the tv didn’t work and only had 6 channels
- 2/5
no pool
- 5/5
Easy access to highway and restaurants
- 4/5
Staff were friendly and the service was quick. Although, no option for free continental breakfast that so many hotels offer these days.
- 2/5
The lobby, halls, and room all smelled like cigarette and pot smoke. The entire hotel seemed to be in need of repairs and updating.
- 2/5
Food was good. Staff was decent. The property is in dire need of refurbishing
- 3/5
Ok, not great.
- 2/5
Having stayed at many Best Western Plus hotels, we have come to expect a certain level of overall experience. This location failed in our opinion. The staff was unfriendly and boarder lined rude, there were no functioning ice machines in the entire hotel, the hotel room doors had a 1” gap at the bottom, the beds were squeaky so every time someone rolled over the others woke up, bathroom was barely big enough for 1 person and the sink counter was extremely low and we were not in an accessible room, the rooms were non-smoking but you could tell that they had been, a/c units were loud, furniture was very outdated, interior signage is very outdated and damaged and in some places not readable or even in place. This hotel didn’t offer free breakfast but did have water and coffee available. The parking lot monument sign has a digital clock on the reader board that was over 3 hours incorrect and the parking lot needed a good cleaning. Overall disappointed and frustrated with the amount we paid for the quality we received and would not recommend.

- 5/5

- 5/5
Property exceeded everyone expectations
- 5/5
It was great for the price they were remodeling some things
- 5/5
Wonderful time
- 2/5
While the room was clean and the bed comfortable enough, neither the refrigerator nor the microwave worked. I had to throw out the breakfast I had brought along to maximize my sleep time and to minimize my morning time before my scheduled business start time. I felt like I should have booked the hotel across the street instead, although I wasn't pleased with the last time I had stayed there.
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and addressed my concerns. The room was clean. There was free water and coffee for the guests in the lobby. The drinks and water in the machines were only $2.00, which was less expensive than other hotels I have been in. The onsite restaurant food was great, it was at a reasonabe price and you got your money's worth. The hotel offered a breakfast buffet for only $12.00 on Saturday.
- 3/5
I will not stay here again
- 5/5
Quite and clean staff friendly.
- 4/5
I would definitely stay at this hotel again. We stayed in for a couple of days and the fact that the hotel had a restaurant and the food was delicious. Helped our stay in even more comforting.
- 3/5
Property needs grounds maintained. Facility is dated and needs outside work. Room needs some upgrades. Two out of the four staff members were welcoming, the other was on his phone with his leg propped up in the front desk area and the other didn't speak at all. Paying $200+ a night should include some sort of breakfast.
- 5/5
Absolutely a great business stay! Everything I need after work is in the hotel! Food drinks and great surrounding
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and nice. The rooms was okay, but I thought is was a BWPlus. It was a original BW.
- 5/5
Comfortable
- 3/5
Nice people
- 4/5
Room was good, bed was comfortable. Outlets were not all functional. Hallways were in poor shape - carpet heavily stained and uneven.
- 2/5
TV was broken.
- 5/5
My boys had a band competition so it was about 100+ of us.. we’d booked months ago.. so they knew we were coming with a large crown & still didn’t have enough staff for the buffet
- 3/5
Bathrooms could use update.
- 4/5
Bed was comfortable, pillows a little soft, but not bad. Room was clean and had a fridge and a microwave, which I appreciated. The shower head looked pretty old and was a bit weak, but overall, I would say this was a good value for the money.
- 2/5
Front desk clerk made copy of my drivers license, asked why he stated that’s just what they do. Didn’t feel safe guest outside smoking weed. This location charge for breakfast
- 4/5
The hotel is older but very clean. Customer service was very good.
- 1/5
The TV didn't work. Only a few stations were available. Called the front desk numerous times and never received any help. Asked for a different room and got denied. Also the refrigerator did not work, I ordered food and could not save it the next day because of the refrigerator.
- 2/5
Old dirty noisy
- 5/5
Convenient in middle of Illinois, not a lot of options.
- 2/5
Ok
- 4/5
The only problem I had is that the air condition/heating system was really loud at night. It was low during a day and loud at night which kept me up so I had to cut it off every night. And turn it back on in the morning when I woke up other than that. Very good service. We'll visit again for sure.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Bed was ok but not great. Pillows were awful. One elevator bank for all rooms. Restaurant and lounge need facelifts - very dark and dreary. Breakfast menu is limited but cooked to order. Not cheap. Had a great mushroom Swiss burger with side salad that I took to my room. A ton of contractors during the day but gone by 5pm - good thing because before 5, they take up all parking spaces close to entrance.
- 3/5
This hotel needs help! It worked for what I needed it for, but if it were a vacation, hell no. Watch out for the huge pot hole when you enter. Someone mentioned it in another post, and I ended up hitting it. Lol
- 5/5
The front desk was very polite and helpful, rooms were very clean and the bar was fantastic as always
- 4/5
Stay was good
- 4/5
The staff was nice and friendly.
- 2/5
I was given a room with a broken toilet, then transferred to another that had an occupant. From there I was finally put into another room, but again the toilet didn’t work. I also was told $25/animal which of course changed into $25/day/room with animals when I arrived. The area was clean and half of staff was accommodating could have been a better experience. I was not compensated in anyway although the room changes were because of the hotel’s issues not even a breakfast voucher. After a long travel you expect better quality.

- 4/5
The property was clean. I did notice some mold around the lower portion of the cloth shower curtain. This seems to be an area not well targeted in two of the Best Westerns I recently visited. That aside, the hotel was sufficient. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
The weight room
- 3/5
Actually, we scouted out other locations for our frequent trips to Chicago. The Hillside facility is very tired, with unrepaired walls, doors, etc. The airport van looks like it rolled off of a steep embankment. There is a depression in the asphalt literally at the entrance that fills with water and trash. At some point, someone will have a slip and fall when it inevitably fills with water and then freezes. The woman who cleans at the front each morning is FABULOUS...not so much for the desk personnel.
- 5/5
The staff was Top Tier!!! Quiet room and very clean.

- 1/5
There was black mold in my room and I told the guy at the front desk and he said he doesn’t have any other rooms available. Black mold is so bad to breathe in. They didn’t try to accommodate me at all
- 4/5
The restaurant inside the hotel had good food, only 1 person waiting on tables and taking payments though. If you are in a hurry don't eat there. Highway is very loud if you sleep on that side of the hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly Ceiling above shower seemed to have damage
- 3/5
Service desk person not so friendly not informative . The two men that took care of us need customer manners and make us feel welcome at the hotel. When we were checking out the lady at the desk inform us if we want coffee and they also serve breakfast. We didn’t even know until we check out.
- 3/5
Needs a to exterminate the whole building, take all the carpet out the rooms, and change all the mattresses
- 5/5
Every thing was great
- 5/5
Good place to stay but not a lot of places within walking distance to eat.
- 4/5
Good lodging for the its price
- 4/5
We only stayed for one night. It was nice, clean, the only thing I noticed was that the towels smelled bad. There is also a musty smell in the room.
- 2/5
I didn’t personally like the apartment for the price that I paid
- 2/5
Less service. Lost one day cleaning.fail the door lock.bad experience.

Ice machine never worked. Pop machine was empty. Coffee spilt in elevator not cleaned up. Wouldn’t stay there again.
- 2/5
I guess that’s what you get for the price you pay for a night. The bed was decent and the room was quiet. We were on the top floor at the far end:
- 1/5
The room had bed bugs. I got all bit up and management tried to say it was mosquito bites and didn’t want to give a refund. We ended up checking out early. Even the days we were there the room keys kept going bad. We must of had to have over ten room keys made just to get into our room. And even some of the employees wanted to later refuse to give us a key to get In. Now I’m on my way to wash everything I own so I don’t bring bed bugs back home with me. I’m completely disgusted and repulsed.

A motorcycle event created a safety, fire and parking issue for the other guests at the hotel. They were loud well into the next morning for 2 days. Hotel staff and police didn't do anything. The elevator was broken on friday and they hotel staff said someone was coming to fix it that night but it was not fixed until sunday. The hotel's website says breakfast was complimentary but did not mention it would cost. Their business center had 2 desks/computers but only 1 worked and the printer never worked. I also learned there was a pool but it was closed. The management was not going to offer anyone a discount for this but when inquired they were willing to adjust my rate for the 1st night. When asked management said if guests were unhappy; they would have checked out. How does that work when a stay is booked through an agency and non-refundable after the fact? I learned the maid service only comes every 2 days so I put my trash and towels outside my room to be taken on the 2nd day but didn't get anything replaced in the room. I had to ask for replacements on 2 separate days. I put the do not disturbe sign on the 3rd night as no one came to take trash check on the room.
- 3/5
If was okay far from city
- 4/5
It was a little dirty, but mostly clean. The property looked at older than the photos shown. You are right by the interstate which is nice however if using public transportation know that you will need to use a bus to get the train to get around the city. 1 1/2 hour to downtown was our commute.
- 1/5
Immediately upon check in there were bugs in the bed. The hotel itself felt unsafe and it seemed like people in around and near the hotel were not tourists. Very sketchy hotel. When I immediately checked out of the hotel and rebooked somewhere else there was no one even at the front desk to provide me with a receipt. I would love to submit photos of the bugs found in the bed but apparently an option to submit photos is unavailable. I guess if I were submitting photos of the Chicago skyline or a deep dish pizza that would be fine but if I need to submit photos of insects on the bed that's somehow unacceptable. I'm from NYC so I'm not faint of heart when it comes to sketchy areas but stay away from this trailer park ghetto.
- 1/5
My room had bed bugs and when talked to manger she was very rude and told me I must have got them from outside

Property is typical 3 star hotel. Was clean. Shower wasn’t the best. Just couldn’t check in using Expedia. So had to charge my card again through the hotel to stay 1 night. Hopefully I get refunded

It is convenient to downtown. Facility seems a bit old and tired. Feels dirty. Staff is very accommodating and helpful.
