Location and very quite. Can walk to everything if you don't mind the price. Staff never smiled. Not friendly at all. AC gave us issues during our stay. Had to request to be moved. We have always stayed here but for the price it's not worth it when you can stay in nice resort for less.

1st room we checked in the AC quit working at night. Reported it next day and they sent maintenance to check. Their response... like we didnt know how to use controls..I reset it on wall give it a couple hours to see if it's working. It didn't work all night we said. I waited still 73 she set on 65. Finally I went back to lobby and requested another room. They gave us another room. We lost basically one night with no sleep.. We always stay here but seems like it's getting run down.

Clean and convenient.

The manager , Carolyn and the front desk. Clerk who was bilingual were very helpful. They showed us how to connect to WiFi and greeted us each time we entered the property. This is our 2nd trip driving from Michigan to enjoy this hotel. We loved it so much we return yearly.

The breakfast was basic yet good. They have Starbucks coffee which made my day! The location is in walking distance to Coligny Beach and shops/restaurants! I will definitely be back. There is an amazing rooftop bar and pool! I loved it Maybe add some more hot items to the breakfast menu

It was just OK. I decided to upgrade myself from one of the other hotels but it didn’t feel like an upgrade. Very expensive breakfast so myself like many others were walking around with our Starbucks cups where most seemed to head off to for breakfast. Pool bar was always closed, same for closed off fire pits etc that you see in the photos. There was one bar of soap in the room. Not even those plastic cups you get so I had to drink from the faucet with my head in the sink. It mostly just felt like a glorified motel 6. Nice looking on the outside, which makes for nice photos for Expedia, but the inside wasn’t any different than your basic motel. You’d get same experience for a hundred less at Spark or Holiday Inn.

Breakfast very limited. Free breakfast at Hampton 's much better selection. Prices not reasonable, $2.00 for a banana, orange or apple. For the price of the accomodations, housekeeping should be there every day, not every other day. Will not stay there again.

If you don’t want any frills, it is a nice place to stay and a good location. I don’t like a property that does not service your room when you’re gone all day. I saw the staff in the hallway and said I was hoping our room was next since we had no toilet paper or clean towels. They didn’t seem to understand me and never cleaned the room, took away the dirty coffee cups, or left new coffee and creamer, so I had to get towels from the cart and a roll of toilet paper.

Everything was clean and comfortable to be what is expected. But there was no complementary breakfast.

Clean room. Trolley service to beach was no where to be found. Be prepared to walk to the beach which is about 10 walk (coligny beach).

Clean and comfortable I had made my reservation through a 3rd party and paid for my room up front but upon checking out the hotel charged me again. I had to call the hotel to get a refund. This is the 2nd time a Marriott hotel has over charged me. I will not likely stay at a Marriott again in the future.

The electrical outlets for computer hookups including the TV failed to operate all night through our checkout the next morning. There was no one on duty all evening and no one answered the phone.

Rooms were not wiped thoroughly especially bathroom. Very rough toilet paper.

The room was very clean, as well as bathroom. My problem is with the makeup of shower. No closing door, which allows alot of water on floor and also cool air. ! You're taking a hot shower in a cold room! And 1 microwave in the lobby for the hotel is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!

Power outages (breakers needed flipped) two of the three nights we stayed there. Staff suggested we change rooms on the last night at 11:20 pm (no small feat) instead of having someone fix the issue from the previous night’s outage. Staff seemed to know exactly what needed to be done as if it is a regular occurrence. Mattresses were older and very worn/soft. On the positive, the hotel was in a good location and the rooms were very clean. The staff members were friendly.

I started off in one room that half of the electrical sockets didn’t work. Water was not hot at all. It was cold. He moved me to a second room the second night the TV had a black line between the TV overall a horrible experience with this hotel, but the staff was very nice.

The check-in / front desk staff was busy talking when i walked in. A few moments later i was acknowledged and i informed her i was checking in. Check in was ok and i was informed of a $10 per day parking fee,ok... we drove for 5 hour and wanted nothing more then a shower! The shower splashed everywhere to the point i had to throw the towels on the floor! I talk to front desk, who sent "maintenance " equipt with a rag and a wrench to fix it! After she fidgited with it and turned the shower head to face the wall. She then preceded to ask if the was ok. Which i replied "No ma'am we are not able to shower against the wall"... She looked at the water splashing everywhere , after i adjusted the shower head straight. Then just said " Ask front desk for extra towel it's supposed to splash, it's an open shower". She left her rag in the bathroom and left! So i went to the front desk and said the maintenance lady said it is supposed to splash and to ask for towels to throw on the floor... The front desk girl just said ok and got me towels! I guess that was mormal behavior, a normal thing for them??? I stayed there 3 days because i was attending graduation at Parris Island and i do have anothet in April and will most definitely not stay there again.

Staff was not nice. Front desk clerk did not know her job. The bartender on the rooftop bar was unpleasant and acted mad that i ordered a drink. I only had one because she was very unfriendly. She had no nametag present..

1. It’s a Marriott 2. It’s in Hilton Head Island, SC The hotel appears as if it was sold off to a competitor and its employees were not trained the Marriott way. Highly disappointed.

Upon checking in, there was no staff available. The bartender had to track the receptionist/manager down. It appeared she was hiding in the back. We had the same experience checking out. The maintenance man had to locate front desk staff. There were questionable charges on our bill and she was less than helpful and rude.

Was very nice place with an awesome rooftop pool and bar with live musician at night who had a great voice. Very close to beach and many restaurants. Was comfortable, clean and staff were helpful. Would be nice to have microwave in room for those who stay more than a couple days. Rooms are smaller but had everything else we needed. No breakfast included and coffee there was very expensive so had to go out for morning coffee. Did have small keurig in room. Overall worth the amount we paid for this place.

Our stay at Courtyard Marriott Hilton Head was pleasant. The rooms were ok but out dated but clean need to update coffee makers terrible and cheap. I looked at the reviews before I booked and they were very mixed ! We picked this hotel for the location and got a great deal . I would not pay summer prices I would be very disappointed!!!

The rooms were fairly clean until I saw a roach one day. We asked for additional towels at around 9am and did not get them until later on that evening after calling and calling down to the front desk. I ended up having to go down there and the front desk clerk was nowhere to be found until another customer knocked on their office door which was behind the desk. It is located in a convenient area

We liked that it was within walking distance of restuarants. Didn't like the check-in process. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member which allows me to check in early. Tried to check in at 3 but was told I couldn't and had to wait until 4. Between 3:15 and 3:45, 3 other guests came in and were allowed to check in

My electric to my. Room412 was terrible went out 5 times. Kept having to go to front desk or call to have them set the breaker. Also 10 dollars a day for a guest at the hotel who paid 850 dollars for a room 4nights plus just got me so mad

I never stayed at the now Courtyard by Mariott because it changed name in 2024 and I had always stayed at Courtyard by Marriot unbeknown to me the name had changes so I never stayed at Marriot but got to pay $300.00 a night at the Hilton I called the Marriot but told me very rudely it had never changed names ( we found article on internet that it did) so I feel I should be compensated for Marriot charges as I never stayed there I know this whole thing will be swept under rug but to me my vacation was not off to a good start. Thanks

Decent hotel but nothing special, gets the job done. Modern amenities with property in okay shape. Note they charge $10 per day for parking (which was not clearly stated upfront and only in the fine print, and came as a surprise add-on charge).

First time in Hilton Head, and the Mariott made it even more enjoyable.

We stay here frequently. There were charges we did not expect such as 30 dollars to park. This hotel also says they have breakfast in the lobby which they do; however there are limited options which are quite expensive including coffee. It seems they could at least offer complimentary coffe like most hotels do.

Allowed an early check-in. Room was great

1. I asked for the room to be made up every day and was told that they wouldn’t or couldn’t do that. 2. I had to call every day and ask for towels. 3. The shower, as nice as it looked with the glass wall, was not practical. We had to mop the water that splashed out every time one of us showered. And you had to let the water run for at least 10 minutes for the water to get warm. 4. On Wednesday evening we were watching TV when suddenly the electricity went out. We were sitting in the dark. When I called the front office with the room phone, no one answered. I had to use my cell phone to call the hotel to get a response. When the maintenance person came to the room, the only reason I could get was that I had a phone charging in the plug by the TV. If you can’t use the plug, why is it there? The electric in the room is apparently not wired correctly. 5. I got charged $40 for parking. I was never told about this charge The people who worked there were all very nice but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Overall, very low attention to service and hospitality. Rooms cleaned every other day and if you need fresh towels you have to request them at the front desk and they *might* have them. Very poor temperature control in the rooms. And the room was always damp. Often had issues running hot water in the bathroom.

Stayed in Hilton head for St. Patrick’s Day parade. Unfortunately, it was canceled due to bad weather, but this location is central to everything, beach, shopping, restaurants, park across the street. Easy walking, quiet and loved the rooftop bar, despite it very pricey.

I had an amazing stay here this weekend. Staff was thorough, friendly, and went above and beyond to make me feel special on my birthday. The assistant manager, Kenneth, was particularly awesome. The hotel is in a great location and in walking distance to beach, brewery, and restaurants. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back.

This property is located in a great area plenty of eating places around and shopping where you can walk to it. Also the beach is not far from here and in walking distance. When we arrived there was no one at the desk and had to wait for a while. I also thought it was weird that they didn't clean your room everyday only every other day.

This is a very nice property in a perfect location very near the beach, shopping, and dining. The staff is very efficient and pleasant. Only complaint was the modern shower didn't have a door to close it, and water always accumulated on the floor.

I was very disappointed in comming to this Marriott in Hilton head on pope ave. Staff was great but everything else was by far terrible! No microwave. No coffee bar not breakfast. The shower was not safe and should have more bar to hold on. We will never stay her again

Nice accommodations, within walking distance to the beach (not beachfront, which pictures seem to allude).

Went on December. As hotel is away from street, it shares parking with restaurants and you can only park in hotel spots. Back parking is available but at all times of day you must have your room card to enter and exit and room key required to get on elevator.

Close proximity to beach and restaurants; clean and quiet; rooftop bar was nice as well with live music; if I had to pick a complaint it would be serving drinks in plastic glasses. Fort the price of a cocktail, a real glass would be a better option. Overall a great place to stay.

smooth check in. the room (217) located over the front entrance - was a bit noisy . good beds/ pillows. bathroom was very nice- good shower, good water pressure . very clean . easy, ample parking. LARGE TV . internet was not great , kept going down. they were cleaning every other day, I was told- I asked staff to address the room- DIANA - did, great job. - a 10 minute walk to the colony beach/ shops 5 mins-- good location. a good experience.

Dry clean, modern and comfortable. Have coffee machine in the room. Beds were very clean and comfortable. I wished pillows were not as thin, as it was hard to find adequate support. Staff was professional and friendly.

All was good. Loved the rooftop bar area and pool (although the bar prices are high - I suppose that's what you get in hotel bars), and the barman, live music, fire pits and so on.

The only thing I would suggest would be to have a free continental breakfast at least or have more options for breakfast.

We arrived around 9:30 to check in and was told that they were apparently fully booked. Mind you, this stay was already paid for through Expedia. I did not get any emails or phone calls from either Expedia or Courtyard to tell me that they were fully booked. We traveled 7 hours and were tired only to be told that they were fully booked and had to transfer us to Holiday In Express. I specifically avoided Holiday In because of the reviews about all the construction going on in there and that’s where we were sent. I was too tired from the 7 hour travel that day and did not have the energy to argue wi the the front desk staff. I have never had anything like this happened to us before. And Holiday In was another horror story! It was so crazy in there with all the construction going on: you have to check in in one building and had to go to another building where the rooms are actually located. I don’t know what else to say but this was not the most wonderful experience.

Always go down early before the rest of the family. Hotel sits within a 5min walk to public beach access and plenty of dining options

Very convenient location. Staff in general ranged from complacent to rude. Seemed to enjoy telling you no. Twice after cleaning rooms there were no bath towels left. Had to call waited 20 min and took shower using hand towels. Rooftop pool area was nice but again staff did their best to make the experience as unpleasant as possible (overcharging for drinks; won’t take food orders, no towels, allowing guests to play loud music)

Didn’t’t move our car the whole vacation. Everything we needed in walking distance.
